Story Mode | Mystic Academia: Kirishima Eijirou's Route
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆ PAIRING: jpop.member!kirishima x fem!reader ⋆ WARNINGS/TAGS: kidnapping ⋆ WORD COUNT: 1020
A/N: omg the first written story mode i’ve ever done! initially i was going to make this part like the regular story modes but i realized i think it would be executed better if i wrote it out instead. for other longer story modes like this, they will also be written out in the future for kaminari, sero, bakugou, and izuku’s routes!
NOTE: the kirishima cap is from @eraserhead-transparents. this part is inspired by the reader story mode in day 10 of zen’s route.
Mystic Academia: Kirishima Eijirou's Route Masterlist
Tumblr media
Everything felt hazy the minute you opened your eyes. Your vision was blurry, only for a moment as your eyes fluttered open. Looking around you, you sighed a breath of momentary relief. You were back at the office, your new home. Perhaps everything that had happened was a dream, or a nightmare rather, and you were finally back home in your apartment.
That sentiment was immediately eradicated the minute you realized you were tied to a chair with your arms pinned back and around the chair. It was very much not a dream.
“Ah, you’re finally awake,” an unfamiliar voice greets you. A man dressed in all black walks from behind you and stands before you. He had a black face mask covering his face and the hood from his jacket covering his head. The only feature you could discern were his piercing crimson eyes.
You could feel your whole body shivering in fear. The last thing you remembered was waiting to watch Kirishima’s conference when this Unknown person broke into Kirishima’s apartment. Who knew you’d have to have security guarding the balcony door as well…
“If you’re wondering how I brought you here, I simply used a chloroform rag to knock you out. Then I just dragged your body here.” You could hear the smile in his voice as well as on his face, despite it being half-covered, as his eyes crinkled up. He spoke so nonchalantly about doing such revolting things to you.
“What do you want?” You mustered up the courage to question him. You hated how shaken your voice was and despite wanting to seem strong, it was hard to do so when a strange man had been stalking you and finally found you only to hold you hostage in your own home.
“Oh, I don’t want anything from you. I’m just a pawn and I will do whatever it takes to help my master carry out their dream.”
He started pacing around your room, looking around at the things you had moved in with you. You had paperwork all over your desk as the party was just two days away and you were still working on inviting guests to the event.
“You see, you’re just a pawn, Y/N.” You shivered at his utterance of your name. “We don’t have any issues with you personally. In fact, I was ordered to lead you to this place to help take down those five imbeciles.”
Five imbeciles… He was referring to Bakugou, Mina, Sero, Kaminari, and Kirishima… He most likely left Deku out due to his absence from the group.
“Just leave them alone. What could they have possibly done to deserve anything?” You could feel yourself getting angry for your new friends. Despite only meeting them almost a week ago, you could tell they were all genuine, including Deku. I mean, who hosts events for charity if they weren’t good?
Unknown bursted out into a fit of laughter. It was an unpleasant sound. He approached you once again and if it weren’t for your being tied to a chair, you would’ve attempted to move as far away from him as physically possible. He crouched down in front of you, bringing his hand up to pat your head. “Don’t you worry. As long as you don’t fight back, everything will be fine. After all, I was ordered to bring you back alive.”
Just as you were realizing the severity of the situation, the doorbell ringing ripped you away from your fears. Several pounding knocks on the door followed.
Unknown chuckled, standing to his feet. “That must be Sero Hanta. Since he’s the only one who knows where this place is.”
“Help!” You screeched.
Several beeps could be heard on the opposite side of the door, indicating that someone knew the password and was entering it. The door swung open and, to your surprise, revealed Kirishima, who was out of breath and his leg was free from the boot you remember he still had on that morning.
Kirishima’s scarlet eyes scanned the room briefly as they stayed focused on you. “Let Y/N go!”
Just as Kirishima attempted to move towards Unknown, he swiftly removed the rope tying you down to the chair. Unknown grabbed you by your collar, forcing you to your feet as you felt the cool metal blade of a knife to your throat.
Kirishima stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening. “You take another step and I can’t promise you Y/N will be unharmed,” Unknown threatened in a low voice.
Kirishima’s hands balled up into fists at his sides as he felt powerless. “What the hell do you want?!”
Unknown shrugged. “I’ve just been ordered to take Y/N with me.”
“Yeah? Over my dead body will I ever let you take her away!” Kirishima’s voice was strained out of the pure rage he was feeling. You felt tears threatening to spill out as you were doing your best to keep it together.
“Oh, don’t you worry, Kirishima Eijirou. Eventually you and the rest of MFA will go with her.” Unknown smiled sinisterly through his mask as his eyes crinkled upwards once again. “You can all have a little family reunion then! How fun!”
You were getting fed up with all of this nonsense. Who was this strange man to impose on your life and think he could do whatever he wanted in the name of following orders? Unknown’s hand was right below your chin and so you bit down as hard as you possibly could, certain that you drew blood.
Unknown screamed out in pain, dropping the knife to your feet and recoiling back in pain as he fell backwards and held his hand to his chest. You swiftly picked the dropped knife up, spinning around and back towards Kirishima. You held the knife out in front of you, nonverbally threatening Unknown not to take another step towards you.
“You stupid girl,” Unknown grumbled, struggling to get back up to his feet.
Kirishima grabbed your wrist and pulled you towards him. He took advantage of the slight pause before he screamed, “RUN.”

Once the last match was concluded, an announcement was made overhead to take a short break before heading out onto the field. However, since you managed to score yourself a place in the top four, you had to go to a specific area to get ready for the awards ceremony. You waved goodbye to your classmates before making your way down, thankfully not getting lost along the way.
You were met with a crazy sight once you arrived, your jaw dropping while making eye contact with--
Bakugou?
“Uh,” you point at his raging form, who only shouts more once he sees you, “what’s going on with him?”
“GLOW WORM, MELT THESE FUCKING RESTRAINTS OFF RIGHT NOW--”
“Bakugou is being, well, uncooperative,” Midnight sighs, rubbing her temple, “we were forced to use.. Extreme measures to insure he doesn’t hurt himself or any-”
“I’LL FUCKING HURT YOU IF YOU DON’T-”
You hold back a gasp as what looks like a muzzle is placed around his mouth by another staff member, choosing to look back at Midnight as he rages even harder.
“He’s been like this since he woke up. He still has to accept the first place prize, he did win after all.”
Next to Bakugou was Todoroki, as calm and collected as ever, a wild contrast compared to the former. Todoroki looks at you, and you feel your heart squeeze. You wanted to say something, but the words you had to say were a conversation for another day. You look away, getting on top of the third place concrete podium.
“Now that you’re all here and in place, I’ll be heading back up to the grounds to do the announcing! Relax kiddos, and Bakugou… Please calm down.”
“Uh, Midnight, wasn’t I supposed to share this with Iida? What do you mean we’re all here?”
“Oh,” she stops and looks at you, “Iida had some family thing come up, he had to leave early. Don’t worry, he’ll still get the recognition. Just enjoy the awards ceremony, okay?”
You nod as she takes her leave, wondering what could have possibly happened for him to miss this.
“Hakamata.”
You snap your head to the right, looking past the still struggling Bakugou and lock eyes once more with Todoroki. Blinking in surprise, you bring a hand up to your mouth in a nervous habit.
“Yes?”
“…Thank you.”
You stare at him with confusion, unsure why he was thanking you. At the beginning of all of this, he was determined to think of you as nothing more than a pest--
But now…
“Oh, uhm-”
“MMFMAMUPH!”
Muffled screams cut you off, and you shake your head with an amused laugh as Bakugou extends his leg to try to kick Todoroki. The boy just sighs, stepping to the side to be out of the others reach, eyes then looking straight ahead and ignoring everything.
Your father always did talk about the importance of appearances after all.
“Geez Bakugou-” His attention snaps to you, and you awkwardly laugh and figure you shouldn’t say anything else in fear of him losing his cool even more.
The ground shakes slightly after; a muffled voice speaking above announcing the start of the awards ceremony causes you to stand tall, with arms shoved into your pockets to avoid them awkwardly hanging by your sides. You made sure to throw your jacket back on, along with fixing yourself up, so you know you didn’t look terrible despite the few bandages along your arms and face.
The sound of fireworks and cheering now more clear as you settle above the ground, the students in the field surround the front of the podium--
Front row seats.
The attention makes you freeze momentarily, but you relax when you realize all eyes are on Bakugou. You hear the said boy struggle harder, causing you to awkwardly look away as if you didn’t know him.
“In addition to (y/n) Hakamata, there is also Tenya Iida in third place, who was unable to be here due to family reasons! Thank you for understanding,” Midnight winks at the camera, “Now, we will award the medals! The presentation will, of course, be by the one and only--”
She was cut off by booming laughter, and you look up to see the eccentric number one hero jump off the roof and land smoothly in front of the winners podium. Midnight offers the awards, allowing AllMight to take them with his ever-present smile before walking over to you. You can’t help the excited blush that spreads across your cheeks as he jumps onto your slab of concrete.
“Ah, young Hakamata, congratulations,” he places a bronze medallion around your neck, the weight of it against your chest brings a feeling of pride, “You are a wonderful young lady, one who has shown strength, courage, and intelligence in your battles.”
“Thank you…”
“Don’t look so down!”
You let out a squeak of surprise as AllMight pulls you into a soft hug, giving your head a few encouraging pats.
“I can tell you feel frustrated; you see, sometimes our quirks don’t work the way we want them to, and the setbacks they provide frustrate us to no end. You want to do more than what you can handle, and with a bit of training I’m sure you can mold your quirk to be what you want it to. Setbacks will be less frequent, and you’ll prevail in the end. Don’t let this stop you from achieving what you want, young Hakamata.”
You shyly wrap your arms around the hero, as far as your arms could go anyway, basking in his warmth before pulling away. He pulls away as well, giving you a softer grin than before and a thumbs up for good measure.
“Thank you sir!”
AllMight moves to give Todoroki his second place medal, and you stare straight ahead across the sea of faces. Thoughts swirl in your head, but for once you’re at peace.
For once, you finally feel like you’ve proven you’re enough.
Even if your dad has told you over and over of your worth, ever since he found out what she did to you all those years, you’ve always had that doubt in the back of your mind.
But now, by making it on your own, you felt like you didn’t have much left to prove.
Besides becoming a better hero than she could ever be, of course.
“Now, young Bakugou!”
You break free from your thoughts as the winner of the tournament screams as soon as his makeshift muzzle is taken off. Deadpanning as AllMight is forced to put the ribbon in his mouth, as he dodged the attempts to place it around his neck.
“You’re so stubborn Bakugou…” Your whisper, which was meant to be unheard, was anything but as Bakugou’s feral gaze lands on your form.
You look away, whistling innocently as AllMight made his ending speech.
“Well, they were the winners this time! But listen here, anyone could have ended on these podiums. It’s just as you saw, competing! Improving each other! And climbing even further! The next generation of heroes is definitely growing! So, I have one more thing to say! SAY IT WITH ME!”
“PLUS ULTRA!-”
“THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK!”
“...ALLMIGHT-”
-----
The day was over, but you still had to change back into your uniform and head to your classroom to receive instructions. You sighed, finally feeling the fatigue kicking in sitting at your desk, half listening to Aizawa as he drones on about ProHero recruitment and having the rest of the school week off to recuperate.
You weren’t worried about the internships, knowing you could always go with your dad to his.
The class was dismissed and you walked out of the school, hand coming up to cover the yawn that left your lips. You couldn’t wait to go home, to eat a big dinner and take a nice hot bath--
“Hakamata.”
You turn around, confused to see Todoroki there. It was weird, he’s called out to you many times today...
He seems to hesitate, standing in front of you. You raise a brow, wondering what could have the Shoto Todoroki talking to you casually about. Sure, you cheered him on, stopped him in the hallways to personally wish him luck..
Granted, you suppose you have been calling out to him plenty of times as well.
“Ah, Todoroki? What’s wrong?”
He also did fix your arm, when he could have easily let you deal with it-
Oh no, was this about listening in on him with Bakugou?
He couldn't have found out about you spying on him, could he have!?
“Hakamata, I need to ask you-”
“Shoto.”
You mutter a thank you, looking back at Todoroki who glared at the Pro.
A booming voice cuts him off, and you can see the way Todoroki tenses at the sound. You turn your head, gaze locking with the infamous Endeavor once more.
“Ah, it’s you again,” his voice sounds smug, and you think back to the previous conversation you had with the pro, “good to see you again. Congratulations on third place.”
“Todo-”
“I’ll see you at school, Hakamata.”
His tone is short and stiff as he walks away, past his father who continues to stare at you. He grins, eyes narrowing in thought before he turns and walks away.
“Yes, see you soon, Hakamata-san.”
You watch as Todoroki’s fists clench by his sides at the words, yet saying nothing as they both disappear from view.
You're nervous, annoyed, pissed, and concerned all at once, not knowing what to do. You had half the intention to run at him and once again give him a piece of your mind--
“(y/n) sweetheart, there you are.”
A smoother voice brings you out of your state of unease, and you turn with a smile.
“Dad! I thought you had to go back to the agency!”
He laughs, hands smoothing your hair down and eyes holding his smile.
“I wanted to take you home, let’s get going. You must be exhausted.”
You hum in agreement, holding your father's arm as he walks you to the car he brought.
“I’m proud of you, you fought hard today.”
“It was all thanks to you.” You say honestly, thinking of every single moment your dad has ever been there for you.
“Don’t brush off your accomplishments, sweetheart, you did this on your own.” His words are stern yet soft, letting you know he meant what he said.
You only hum once more in agreement, letting him open the door for you as you shuffle into the backseat, him following after and closing the door while letting the driver know he could go.
‘If only you knew how much hope you’ve really given me... Thank you, dad.’

baby mine, don’t you cry
Tumblr media
Summary: A quiet early morning moment between Reader and Deku and their newborn baby.
Pairing: Pro Hero Deku x Reader and newborn daughter
Warnings: None!
Tags: Just sheer baby fever fluff inspired by the movie A Beautiful Day. Aged Up Izuku Midoriya, Dad! Deku.
Notes: Short and sweet, I hope y’all enjoy! Not my best but I couldn’t get this beautiful little scene out of my head. Picture is not mine, it’s from Pinterest. I will be changing it, just wanted to get this up right away 😅
Links: AO3
Of all the things Izuku Midoriya thought he’d be doing at twenty-eight, being married to the love of his life and learning how to care for a newborn baby girl was not one of them. But here he was, exhausted, letting out a long-winded sigh through his lips as the baby fussed from the crib. You were blacked out next to him, thank god. You needed your sleep. He supposed he needed his too, but he had told the agency that he would only be coming in on an emergency basis for a little while. They had heartily agreed; the world was crazy and Pro Heroes needed love (maybe especially) too. It was only right that he got to be with his family at this crucial point.
Deku blearily looked over at the clock on his nightstand; the dimmed blue numbers read 3:53 AM. He tried to remain quiet, hoping for a bit that maybe the baby would go back to sleep but the minutes ticked by and her crying only grew louder and more frenzied. He pulled the quilt back from his body and sat up, bending over to let out a little groan. Everything in his body protested. The three of you had not gotten a whole lot of sleep recently while everyone acclimated to the new schedule. He carded his fingers through the curls atop his head and very nearly laid back down.
But then the baby let out a particularly strong wail and he rose on creaking knees to go to her crib. Even in the waning moonlight that ghosted through the window, he could see how red her cheeks were and with a lurching in his chest, he grabbed for her. Scooping her up into his arms and holding her against his bare chest. He walked back and forth for a moment before realizing she wasn’t quite done crying.
The wooden floor of the hallway shifted under his feet; it was spring and early mornings were still cold. His toes were a little frozen so he wiggled them as he walked. He rocked the baby, swaying his hips back and forth making little shshing sounds as he did but still, it was no use. Great crocodile tears etched paths down her chubby little cheeks and she drew in great hiccuping breaths.
“Oh, little one, ssh. It’s all right. Daddy’s here.” He resigned himself to no more sleep until his wife woke up for her “shift”. The rocking chair sat in the corner by the living room window. It looked very enticing right now; he was already dead on his feet. He turned on the little lighthouse night light that sat on a bookshelf near the chair and when the light bulb flickered to life, it cast a barely-there glow that just encompassed the chair. He sat, making himself as comfortable as possible, and brought his newborn daughter to his chest. She had just eaten an hour and a half ago; based on what he had learned so far, she wouldn’t be hungry just yet.
He rocked and hummed and hummed and rocked. She was so little, so tiny and he absently wondered if it was because of his own big shoulders or if all babies were like this. Tiny but willing to take on the world. And that’s what she sounded like as her crying gradually faded to whimpers, and then tiny little baby groans that matched her small fingers and toes. That she would take on the world if she had to had something cracking in his chest as he identified with that feeling. She nestled her face into his chest and his eyes near brimmed with tears of his own.
His life was nothing short of crazy. He was a Pro Hero. A Pro Hero mentored by All Might no less. A Pro Hero who had not been born with a quirk. A hero who had been a nobody. As his mind slowly edged between waking and sleeping, he realized that sometimes he still felt like a nobody. But with an unimaginable warmth seeping into his body from where his little girl lay against him, his heart skipped a beat.
Because he also realized that a nobody couldn’t make such a precious somebody as the little one he was holding in his arms.
---
You startled awake, the headache that had been threatening to hit from earlier finally gripping at the back of your neck. You had been sure you had heard the baby fussing a little while ago but now all was quiet. Deku’s side of the bed was empty, a ghosting of his scent and warmth still lingering on the sheets when your fingers brushed across them.
You sat up, squinting your eyes against the pain in your neck and shoulders. Ibuprofen would fix that but that was all the way in the medicine cabinet in the kitchen. Which really wasn’t all that far away but certainly felt like it at the moment. Deku must have gotten the baby but as your eyes blinked away sleep, you could see he wasn’t in the room. He must have gone out to the living room.
The pain in your neck radiated down your back and into your lower hips and lack of sleep made it feel near impossible to actually sit up and get out of bed. But your curiosity was piqued and the aches in your body were nearly growling. It was just 5:30 in the morning and you could hear the faint melody of birds chirping outside. You probably weren’t going to get any more sleep for a little while as it was.
You padded down the hallway, holding your hand against the small of your back, arching it in an attempt to eradicate some stiffness. The house was breathing all around you, making small noises as the world around you slowly awakened. It was still chilly; your feet protested the cold wood floor. A milky shaft of light flowed into the hallway from the kitchen. Another warmer light emanated from the living room. That must be where Deku was. Judging by the stillness in the air, he had accomplished what he came out to do.
You entered on a small gasped breath, placing your hand over your mouth as if that would help conceal the sound escaping your mouth. Deku was a stunning man. Even if he didn’t know it, you were always looking for chances to remind him and he was always doing things that just made himself a hundred times more attractive. Like the way his hair looked when he was straight out of the shower. Or the way he smirked when you told him a stupid joke. Or the way his hands looked when he was chopping vegetables for dinner. Or the way his smile looked when he caught you outside in the garden.
But he had never looked so good as he did right now and your heart bloomed on an almost painful balloon of happiness and love. The glow from the lighthouse night light was already weakening as the sun began its ascent but it was just enough to cast Deku’s face in a warm glow. He had a five o clock shadow now and was somewhere in between sleep and awareness; his foot propelled the rocking chair in a slow ambling rhythm but every once in a while it would stutter into stillness. You shook your head, a smile threatening to break across your face at the delightfully foolish man; he hadn’t bothered to put on a shirt so your baby girl was skin to skin with him. Her eyes were shut and her little mouth was open just a touch.
You must have made some noise because his eyes fluttered open. He didn’t say anything just gently lifted a hand to beckon you over. The muscle memory of sneaking around whenever she was asleep kicked in though and this time you made it to him without making a sound. He closed his eyes briefly again as he took your hand in his own. It felt magical really to hold his hand. It was large and warm and callused. You brought it to your lips, pressing gentle kisses to the scars that crisscrossed his skin before leaning into his ear.
“Why don’t we sit back on the couch,” you whispered. At least the three of you could fit on there together and you had a creeping suspicion he wouldn’t go back to bed even if you suggested it. He lazily nodded his head before cradling the baby in his arms and rising, the breath whooshing from his lips as he attempted to move without waking her. You knew what it felt like to be held by him so you weren’t surprised when she didn’t wake from her slumber. After grabbing the much-needed painkiller for your headache, you settled in next to him.
He opened his arms and now was cradling two human beings. He was an expert at it really. You curled into him and listened with delight as the baby nestled even farther into the crook of his arm and let out a breathless sigh, the kind that only babies can make. Deku was already drifting back to sleep. You could tell by the way his breath deepened with each movement of his chest as your arm rested over his abdomen.
“I love you,” you murmured into his skin. He whispered it back against the crown of your head as the two of you floated into sleep and the world felt whole and good.
Early morning sun craned through the window; outside the city came to life. Spring danced on a breeze through the trees outside. All was well.

A/N: I KNOW, I KNOW I’M LATE!! But I really wanted to proofread this cause I don’t know if I’m setting this up as I want to... I want this story to last and I wanted it to grow which caused me to write over 4k words, which makes this the longest chapter yet, this is how long I want to keep my chapters so it may take longer to get them out, so I wanted make sure I have everything set up so without further ado...
Word count: 4k words
Chapter 5 - A new chapter
“Welcome everyone, take a seat and we can get started.” Fat gum greeted everyone as all the major pro heroes in the cities filed in and took their seats.
Fat gum took a deep breath before turning to Tamaki and Kirishima who were the two sidekicks he brought to the meeting.
“We’re here to discuss the arising group, who call themselves Resist, my two sidekicks Red Riot and Suneater can catch everyone up to speed.
Tamaki looked at Kirishima who nodded and turned in the PowerPoint they both slaved over the last two weeks.
“We’ve been noticing a rise in flame and explosive based attacks all across Japan. They usually happen in places like shopping malls, college buildings, places where a lot of people convene in a confined space basically,” Kirk started to explain, pressing the button to bring up different reports of buildings on fire which included Tadashi Shopping Center.
Tamaki took over the presentation at this point, “we’ve noticed that in the reports we receive about these attacks, all of the opposition had these jackets with a symbol either etched on the back and the chest. We believe this is what Resist uses to distinguish themselves from other villains, and anything with this type of organization needs to be squashed before it can grow. We’ve seen this type of thing before,” He explained before narrowing his eyes.
“We don’t want a repeat of what happened those years ago. It’s taken a long time to rebuild hero society and it’s still on the rocks.” Tamaki finished his part before looking back at Kirishima to continue.
“Since we know what symbol they use to distinguish themselves, that allows us to see when they pop up in cities and how many times they do as well. From what I found out, they never popped up in cities more than two times except for one, here in Esuha city.” Using the IPad, he flipped through the city and a map of Japan popped up.
In all the other major cities, they had either a one or a two except for one, Esuha City which had a nine beside its point.”
“Oh wow,” a hero mumbled.
“Nine attacks? That’s crazy,” a female hero said.
Tamaki started to speak, “with this, we hypothesize that Resist’s HQ is somewhere in the underground of Esuha city. This is the only evidence that supports this, and will be one of the main objectives of this meeting, figuring out where they reside so we can take them down.”
“Wait, wait, wait, so we don’t know where they are?” A pro hero, Nova, asked, looking at Tamaki with skepticism.
Kirishima stepped in, noticing Tamaki beginning to crack, needing a few minutes to collect himself again, he can only go so long before his thoughts intrude.
“We only have an idea, the Fat Gum Agency already has heroes and sidekicks staking out possible locations where they might be but there’s always a chance that this lead may lead us nowhere. This leads us to one of the purposes of this meeting!” Kirishima ended with a smile and a thumbs up.
His contagious smile made Tamaki feel a little better and he stood a little straighter and tapped the IPad to bring up the next slide.
“The way they’ve been attacking reminds me a lot of The League of Villains and we all know how they’ve left a stain in Japan’s trust in Hero Society. Some of us in this room knew how hard it was fighting them,” Tamaki lamented, looking over at his partner and they both slightly nodded.
“We lost a lot of lives and a lot of good heroes with them, and we were lucky to prevail from that fight but everything changed with that fight. The fragile state that All Might left the country was crushed and the public hated most heroes. We need to squash any threat to what we’ve built over the years and that starts with Resist,”
Kirishima and Tamaki remember the fight with the LOV, the screams, the blood, the bodies, the cleanup, the tears, waking up in a cold sweat for months on end. Tamaki remembers lifting some debris and seeing a bloody Barbie doll and throwing up in an empty alleyway.
Both of them did not want to go through that again.
“Okay, we get it, but honestly I just don’t see how this “Resist” organization is any trouble. They’re just blowing up buildings without any objective.” Another random local hero spits out, leaning against his arm.
“You idiot!”
Kirishima and Tamaki slightly smirked at who spoke up. The six-foot Explosion Hero: Ground Zero stood up, glaring at the man who just spoke up.
“The League of Villains were like that too, just destroying with no objective, then they found one and that’s why heroes are looked at as fucking trash!” Katsuki Bakugou spoke up, slamming his hand on the desk.
After Best Jeanist retired, he entrusted his agency to the loud ash blond man which shocked the rest of his sidekicks. Since then, he’s been his hero, signing on Denki and Mina after they had no agency to take them in.
“I would know, me and Shitty hair,” he said, pointing at Kirishima, “we were there for a lot of them. We were also there when they found a purpose and that’s when they took me when I was still the first year. We underestimate them as we did with LOV and it could grow into a situation that we don’t want to see! Shouldn’t you fucking know this shit already?!” Bakugou finished before sitting down after Denki tried to calm him down.
“Calm down Ground Zero, don't want you popping a blood vessel,” a cold voice called and everyone’s attention turned to the Half and Half hero who took over his Father’s agency once he graduated.
After his father’s career was shot after the fight, his agency fell apart since Todoroki was still a first year. But as soon as he graduated, most of his father’s old sidekicks came back to him and his father even left the building to him. Deciding that he only knew his father since he interned and did his work-study there, he decided to revamp the agency as his own and remove the bad memories since then.
“Come on guys, let’s not fight, this is a serious matter,” came the nervous voice Deku, the one everyone was looking at as the one who would replace All Might.
He was the only one out of his class to start a hero agency right out of high school without having to inherit it, the rest of them becoming sidekicks. Izuku Midoriya replaced Hawks as the youngest pro hero ever.
“Shut up Deku!”
Kiri shook his head and facepalmed at his alumni antics.
“Somethings don’t change, huh Kirishima?” Tamaki whispers to him which made the Unbreakable hero sigh and nod.
“Alright!! Let’s get back on topic!” Kirishima yelled, clapping his hands to get the attention of his old classmates.
“Sorry Red.”
“My apologies.”
“Tch, whatever Shitty Hair.”
Kirishima let out a breath of relief before looking over at Fat gum to take over the rest of the meeting. Fat gum nodded before smirking and rubbing his hens together.
“Let’s get started.”

Tamaki was ready to go home. Everyone was arguing about the best next steps to take to defeat this new organization and so far, no one was agreeing. Some wanted to start their investigations in their cities but some wanted to blow up every building until the “Resist Turds” showed themselves so we could kill them.
Tamaki sighed as he slouched in his chair, listening to his boss and other pro heroes argue about their next move.
“We can’t ignore this issue anymore, but that doesn’t mean we lose morals when it comes to this. Heroes and the public still have a rocky relationship and we can’t get into anything rash!”
“What?!? What’s waiting? I say we find them right now and smoke them out!”
“You haven’t changed at all.”
Tamaki looked over to the clock and noticed it was getting real close to 3:00 pm, they’ve been here for almost 2 hours and some of these hero’s had long trips to get to. Tamaki tapped Kirishima and Gat gum and showed them the time. Fat gum slammed his hands against the desk before standing up, effectively silencing the room of arguing heroes.
“We need to decide before we get overtime and something happens in your cities. So what’s our verdict, because this isn’t the only meeting we’ll have, we’ll have more in the future that we need to prepare for,” Fat gum said.
Everyone refused to look at each other in the eye, that was before Deku decided to speak up.
“If so many, I believe that their HQ could be possibly located here end think that the Fat Gum Agency should focus all resources in finding said hideout, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of us shouldn’t look for clues,” He said, pointing to the screen.
“For those whose cities that were only hit once, keep an extra eye out if they ever come back. Those cities who were hit twice, you all should go back to where they hit you and see if they left behind any clues. They aren’t as organized right now so now’s the time to stop them and give the public something to believe in again!”
And just like that, like the future Number One Hero he was destined to be, he raised everyone’s spirits in this new mission. To eradicate the Resist before they gain a name as big as LOV.
Y/n sighed as she walked in the building, headphones blasting a Megan song. She waved hi to the receptionist before turning the corner and jogging to her office. Sipping in her She opened the door and turned the light to reveal her office. She’s been so busy with the rise of villains since the two months she’s been here, that she hasn’t had a chance to finally decorate her office the way she’s wanted to. She paused her music and pulled out her headphones to be able to take a better look at her workspace.
It had a window in the right wall of the room and her desk right in front of, facing the front of the room. The walls were bare and painted white and the room littered with unopened boxes from things she ordered. She looked down at the bag of decorations she recently bought to complete the rest and smiled.
“Alright, I got 2 hours before the meeting with Fatgum and the other heroes. I better finish this before then,” she mumbled to herself before walking over to the biggest Amazon box.
She turned on her speaker and connected them to her phone before continuing the song she was listening to while she was walking in the agency.
’Simon says, put your hands on hips’
She rapped along the song under her breath as she cut open the box that was her storage shelf. As she was pulling the wrapped contents, a knock sounded off from her door. It was so quiet that she almost couldn’t hear over her music. She lowered the volume before opening her door.
Standing outside of it was Tamaki who was dressed in very casual clothes, a pair of jeans, and a white tee shirt. Y/n stood there surprised, not expecting the Manifest hero to stand outside her door. Last she heard of him, he was working with Fat gum with a major mission. But that's what she heard.
“Amajiki-san! This is a surprise? What brings you here?”
Tamaki jumped at her sudden answer but collected himself, “I have something to talk to you and Aoi-san, is he here?”
Y/n shook her head, stepping out the way for him to allow him inside her office.
“Today’s both of our days off, he went to see his mom and I decided to use this to come in to finally set up my office after two months of being here!”
“No, no it's my fault, I should have contacted you before I came over,” he shook his hands in front of his face.
She waved him off, “It’s okay, I wasn’t doing anything important. So what’s going on?”
She hopped on her desk and sat down and gestured for Tamaki to come closer. Tamaki hesitated to say anything, but time was of the essence and Fatgum didn’t tell Tamaki that the pair had the day off. He was about to start to speak but he looked around the room and noticed different boxes scattered around the room and looked back at Y/n who was bending down to pick up tape she threw around the room. Tamaki’s ears turned red and he quickly looked away right as she stood up.
“Sorry it’s a mess,” she huffed, balling up the tape, “I wasn’t expecting for me to have any guests.”
He waved her off, “no it’s fine? What’s with all the boxes anyway?”
Y/n walked over to the biggest box and turned it around to show the picture of her bookcase shelf which still wasn’t open. Tamaki saw this and looked around and saw other office supplies and decorations still wrapped in plastic and packing peanuts all over the floor.
“I decided to use my day off to finally decorate my office the bay I wanted it to be, but I may have… overspent on somethings,” she trailed off sheepishly, taking in how many boxes were in the room.
Tamaki saw how exasperated she was, it would take her a long time to assemble the shelf and it's already 2:30 pm. He was all finished with his paperwork and was gonna go home after telling the partners before going home. He wasn’t even that tired after all. So with a deep breath, he called out Y/n as she was cleaning the peanuts away from the chairs to give them a place to sit.
“Hey, Y/n?”
She stopped, loving her things, and turned to look at Tamaki, “yes?”
“I have the rest of the day off, I’d… I’d be more than happy to help you with your office. If... if you’d let me?” His voice got significantly quieter as he spoke.
Y/n’s eyes brightened up, running over to take Tamaki by the hands.
“Really!”  She exclaimed, pulling him closer to her body.
Tamaki blushed at this sudden movement, “tried” to move his body and nodded his head, yes to confirm what he asked her. Y/n squealed before pulling the violet-haired man in a full-blown hug.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am honestly CLUELESS when it comes to putting things together and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to do it! This helps so much! Thank you!”
Tamaki’s face went red as a cherry as he tried his best to make his words conceit but his thundering heart, increasing body temperature, and his burning ears made that quite difficult to do. He gave her his best smile and she gave him an even bigger one back before dragging him to the biggest box.
“Let’s get this over with, it’s the hardest one here.”
Together, the two of them opened the box and started taking the parts out. While the two of them set up her office, they got to know each other more, from him telling her about her times as a pro hero in America.
“Yeah, America is so different from Japan,” she mused, ripping open the smaller boxes, “Here you get your license from the Hero Commission which is a branch under the Federal Government. You can work anywhere in the country! In America, you can only be licensed in the state you take your test in!” Y/n explained, grabbing the instructions to see which parts she had.
“Wait, how many states are in America? I know there’s a lot,” Tamaki asked, making Y/n giggle and cover her mouth.
Y/n shook her head, “there’s fifty of them, and I could only work in Texas, where I’m from.”
Tamaki shook his head, “but what if you’re out of the state and an emergency appears and they need help?”
Y/n shrugs, “I have to leave it to the heroes there, interfering could cause me to lose my job.” She laid out all the parts and counted in her head to make that all the parts were here.
“When I’m not in my licensed state, I’m just a simple civilian with no permission to use their quirk.”
“America’s really different from Japan, I should have known though,” Tamaki let out a little chuckle as he said that.
“Yeah, just the size of Texas is bigger than Japan. A different system is to be expected I guess,” Y/n shrugged her shoulders.
She picked up the boards and the poles and started putting them together but for some reason, it wouldn’t go in. Feeling frustrated, she continued to struggle with the pieces, confused as to why they weren’t going in the hole.
“Stupid piece of,” she hissed under breath as she continued to struggle, “you doing too much for me, just go in the thing!”
Hearing her mumble under breath in English, Tamaki turned around from building his own part to seeing Y/n struggle. He smiled slightly before getting up and walking to her. Y/n saw him move over to her and before she could process it, he grabbed the pieces from her.
“No, I think it goes over here,” Tamaki reached over behind Y/n and flipped the pole, and slid it in the hole with no problem.
Y/n smiled at Tamaki as he did the rest of the poles, doing it effortlessly. He was about to screw everything in whenY/n stopped him.
“I can do this part but thank you!” She grabbed her screwdriver from him and before she knew it, she placed a kiss on his right cheek.
Oh lord, Y/n thought, her head running wild, oh lord, oh lord, oh lord, what the fuck did I do?!!? Why the fuck did I kiss him???? Well, it was only on the chek, BUT FUCKING STILL!!
Tamaki was frozen, his face red. His heart pounded in his chest, and he stood there frozen. She just kissed him on the cheek, a kiss, her lips were on some part of his body. His face, his right cheek. A girl, a girl he liked.
Y/n on the other hand took a deep breath before going back to her unfinished bookcase and continuing as if nothing happened. Tamaki looked at her quietly putting her shelf together before Tamaki decided he should do the same. They both didn’t mention what happened.
---
“Oh yeah, Tamaki what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Y/n asked him, using the screwdriver to carefully tighten the screw in her new desk.
Tamaki was pulled out of his thoughts, looked at her confused, before remembering what he had to talk to them about. Why he even came to her office in the first place.
“It concerns both you and your partner, I was hoping he would be here with you since I didn't see him in his office,” Tamaki replied, standing up and stretching his back.
“He’s using his day off to visit his mom,” she said, remembering the conversation they had while he dropped her off, “he hasn’t seen her in a while and he said he’s finally caught up with paperwork so yeah,”
Tamaki nodded, not caring about what Aoi did.
“But I’m sure I can relay to him what’s going on, so what’s up?” She asked, leaving on her desk for support from being on her feet all day.
Tamaki nodded, “It’s about a case I’ve been working on, you remember your debut fight and the explosion at Tadashi Center right?” Tamaki started, going in his bag and pulling out his flash drive with a conceded version of his and Kirishima’s presentation.
Y/n nodded, tilting her head at the question. He handed her the flash drive and began explaining what the mission was about and its ties to her debut fight and the attack in Tadashi Center
“We believe that the people who attacked during those two times are a part of the same organization, looking to gain the same infamy that the League of Villains gained. You know about the League right?”
She nodded, “anyone who has access to news worldwide knows who they are. They left a hole in Japan’s hero society, a ginormous one.”
Tamaki nodded, “and we believe this group is trying to continue what they left and destroy society as we know it. This is what I’ve been working on for a while and we are finally making some moves. This is where you and Aoi-San come in,” Tamaki reported.
“Comes in?
Y/n used her fingers to replicate quotes as she said this. Tamaki nodded.
“Your quirk is the most effective, the ability to swallow fire and make it your own, you’ll become a big help if more explosions ever come up. Aoi-San comes as extra backup, never go wrong with extra hands, c-considering he’s your part-partner,” Tamaki finishes, sweating profusely when he mentions Aoi as your partner.
“So out of the sidekicks here, you want me and Aoi to join you?”
Tamaki nodded, “we’ll have other heroes from other agencies join us, we didn’t want to take any chances with them, so we made sure that we made other heroes who were affected aware of this. This was a last-minute decision made by Fat gum after seeing reports on how you were able to put out the flames in less than 5 minutes. ”
Y/n stared at him with a look he didn’t recognize, he could feel his heart pound at that.
Oh no, did I say something wrong?!? Oh no, I didn’t mean to offend her, what do I do?! This so weird, why the fuck do I do- Tamaki’s thoughts started to overrun him again, he almost fell into the deep put before hearing low chuckles echo through the office which pulled him out of his thoughts.
Tamaki looked at Y/n with confusion as she continued to laugh. She then stopped laughing and jumped off the desk and stretched her back out.
Y/n nodded her head in understanding, mumbling under her breath, “that makes sense.”
Tamaki perked up, “so you’ll join us?”
Y/n blinked at him, confused at what he said, “I had a choice?”
It was Tamaki’s turn to look at her confused, why would she think she doesn’t have a choice in this? Tamaki ignored this and just nodded his head. Y/n smiled at that and gave him a thumbs up.
“I’m all in! And I’m sure that Aoi would be perfectly okay with it, I’ll make sure of it!” She exclaimed.
Aoi? He thought to himself, deflating slightly before giving Y/n a last nod and turning to leave. As he did that, he heard a gasp and Y/n asking for him to wait. Tamaki turned back around, heart pounding in anticipation and he started to sweat.
“Ye-yes?” He stumbled out, cursing at himself.
She smiled before handing him her phone with ‘New Contact’ pulled up.
“I’ve wanted to ask you for your number for a while because I think your quirk would be very suitable for some training together?” She smiled, crossing her arms.
Tamaki still didn't say anything as she pushed herself up from leaning against her desk and picked up her phone. She typed away at it before handing it to him.
He stared at it confused before realizing he was supposed to put his number in it. He quickly grabbed the phone and typed in his number and his name before handing it back to her.
“H-here you go.”
Y/n smiled and took her phone back, tapping away at it before putting it away, “thanks! I’ll text you?”
Tamaki's eyes widened and his ears went cherry red, “yeah, just...just text me.” He stumbled out before heading to the door

Izuku winced as he grabbed his bleeding arm. He leaned against the wall, a deep frown on his face. He looked down at himself to see that he was a mess. His blood had started seeping through the tears in his suit. He could hear the villain getting closer, making him hold his breath as he hid behind a large dumpster. The blood dripped down his side and arm, the agonizing pain was difficult to ignore, but pushed through it.
Unfortunately, as much as he hated the idea, this time he’d have to retreat. When he was sure it was safe, he used his quirk and bolted. He could hear the villain yell and turned down the street, using the walls to hop around. Finally, he found refuge on a small balcony. He landed and quickly crouched down to hide. Due to his pain, he lost his balance and his back hit the sliding glass door. He winced and shut his eyes trying to breathe and calm himself.
Meanwhile, (f/n) shot up in bed, terror and worry written all over her face. Her panic flew through the roof when she saw a figure hunched on her balcony through her curtains. She almost screamed, but quickly clamped her hand down on her mouth.
It took her eyes a minute before they adjusted and she immediately recognized the suit. She’d been a huge fan of Deku and here he was on her balcony. Wait… was he hurt?!
Without thinking, she threw her bed sheets off and ran to the glass door. She pushed her curtains open, unlocked the door, and pulled it open. Izuku immediately shot up, ready to fight but breathed in relief when he saw a tired girl on the other side.
“A-are you ok?!” He immediately put a finger to his lips in an attempt to tell her to quiet down. She took the hint and started looking around, before gently urging him inside. Although he didn’t want to put an innocent life in danger, he had no choice. As long as he wasn’t spotted, he’d be fine. Izuku quietly followed her in and watched as she shut the door, locked it, and pulled her curtains closed.
(f/n) walked to the other side of the room and flipped her lights on, both of them winced at how bright they were. Izuku finally got a look at the girl, she was… beautiful, actually. His eyes trailed down and he almost smiled at what she was wearing. It was a cute little dress, with his hero suit printed on it. His emerald eyes looked around, his heart fluttering at what he saw. She had little figures of him, even some posters.
She was a fan? Just like him- well not like him. He was a little crazy when he was young, this girl only had a few things. Well… maybe a few more than he saw, because he caught sight of a couple of cute Deku plushies on her bed.
“A-are you ok? Wh-what happened?” At her words, pain shot through his arm, however, he gave her a bright smile and shook his head.
“Nothing. I’m alright, I’m sorry to bother you!” His smile was as wide as always, but (f/n) wasn’t convinced. She could see how hard he was clenching his arm, it must’ve really hurt. She even saw the gash in his torso, not to mention the cuts and bruises on his face, chest, and arms.
“Y-you’re hurt!” She argued, pointing to his arm, which he ended up hiding behind him.
“I’m ok, really! Please don’t worry too much about it. I’m a hero, remember!” (f/n) cautiously approached, not wanting him to leave. She gently reached out and he watched her carefully but allowed her to touch him.
“C-Come with me, please.” She said, as she took hold of his uninjured arm and led him towards the door. He nodded and followed, watching as she ran back to grab her phone… which had a cute little Deku case on it. He smiled a little as she led him out of her bedroom and to the living room. She had him sit down in one of her dining chairs, before she inspected his wounds.
(f/n) wasn’t a nurse nor did she know how to fix large wounds like that, but she would give it her all. Especially for her favorite hero.
“I’ll be back,” she said as she walked away. Izuku watched her form disappear before his green eyes scanned her little apartment. It was cute and cozy, he saw little decorations and accents he liked.
Within a few minutes, (f/n) had returned with a medium-sized box and a glass of water. She placed it on the table next to him and opened it, while letting him take the water and sip at it. He really needed it and he hadn’t realized it until now.
Taking out a bottle of disinfectant, (f/n) grabbed some paper towels before spraying them down.
She then looked back at the hero and slowly started to dab the paper towel onto his cheek. He winced at the stinging sensation as she continued, apologizing for it. It almost made him chuckle.
For the first few moments, he stared at the room around her, however, as she moved onto his chest and arms, his eyes locked onto her face.
She really was beautiful, this girl. She had (h/l) (h/c) locks, tired (e/c) eyes, and very soft hands. He almost facepalmed when he realized he didn’t know her name.
“What’s your name?” He inquired, watching as her cheeks turned red from embarrassment.
“Oh! I’m so sorry! I’m (y/f/n), i-it’s nice to meet you, Deku.” He smiled at how cute she looked with that blush.
“Likewise, (l/n).”
“Y-You can just c-call me (f/n).” She answered, before looking at the large wound on his arm. She gently raised his arm so she could get a better look in the light. She grabbed some more paper towels and gently dabbed it on his arm, letting it soak up the blood. Izuku tried to push the pain out of his mind, he didn’t want to seem weak in front of a fan, but that was easier said than done. He felt bad that this girl had to patch him up. Not to mention the villain was probably still out looking for him.
Well, hopefully, the villain had given up on finding him and wasn’t terrorizing someone else. His eyes slowly trailed down (f/n)’s body, looking at the dress she had on. She must’ve been a really big fan.
“Cute dress. Do I know him?” He teased and watched as her cheeks flushed red. She immediately looked down, then back up at him with wide eyes.
“I-I uh, w-well it’s um-” He laughed at how adorable she was, which only made her cheeks brighten.
“You’re cute,” he complimented, “a fan?” She shyly nodded, as she removed his glove and gingerly pushed his sleeve up. She grabbed the disinfectant and sprayed it on his wound, making him hiss in pain.
“I-I’m sorry!” She cried, looking up at him. He shook his head again and gave her a pained smile.
“It’s alright, I’m a tough cookie. I can handle it!” He could see the relief in her eyes, the last thing she’d probably want to do is hurt her favorite hero.
Once (f/n) was done cleaning the room, she gently wrapped the gauze around it, like a bandage. She went around a few times before she used some medical tape to hold it in place. She pulled his sleeve down and helped him put his long glove back on. Her next target was the wound on his torso.
“C-Can you… umm.” She pointed to the wound and he nodded, removing his belt and then unzipping his suit. He unzipped it all the way, before pushing it to the side a little so that (f/n) could get to it. She tried to keep herself calm because there was no need for her to get flustered! He was injured and she was helping him.
He was pretty built, his skin was smooth and cold to the touch. (f/n) desperately tried to be professional, but damn… he was even better looking up close.
“I think you’ll have to stand for this.” She said, looking up at him. Izuku nodded and waited for her to back up before standing. He pushed his hero suit further and held it for her while (f/n) examined the wound further.
It wasn’t too bad, actually, it was just bleeding a bit more than expected. She used the spray on the wound before gently wiping it with the paper towel. She also cleaned off all the blood and dirt off of it. Once the wound was clean, she could see it even better now.
“It’s not bad at all, just bleeding a lot.” She commented, grabbing the gauze as unwrapping it. The blood helped hold onto the first couple of layers, after that, (f/n) needed medical tape. Once the bandage was on there, (f/n) used some water to clean up the rest of the bruises and cuts. They weren’t too deep and didn’t require any bandages. They mostly seemed like scrapes.
“Thank you.” He said softly, as she continued to wipe down his chest. She paused and looked up at him, her cheeks still tinted red. However, a smile took over her face and she nodded.
“Anything for you. You’ve done so much for us, the least I can do is patch you up.” She cleaned up the dirt around his face and cheeks before adding a little bit of ointment onto the smaller scrapes. “That’s all of them.” She announced, putting the paper towel down.
“I really appreciate it,” he commented as he pulled his suit back into place and zipped it up. “I’m sorry to barge in. I shouldn’t have come here, I was just trying to hide-”
“Please don’t apologize,” she interrupted him, her (e/c) eyes meeting his emerald ones, “like I said, you do so much for us. All of you heroes put your lives on the line for us. This is the least I could do.”
Izuku smiled at her, finally feeling that little achievement in his heart. He’d always wanted to be a hero who could smile and eradicate fear from people. He wanted to be the hero everyone looked up to, he wanted to be the hero that could make others smile, just like All Might. This girl, with such few words, proved to him he’d made it.
His gloved hand gently grabbed hers, a bit disappointed he couldn’t feel the softness, and he gave it a squeeze.
“You’re a great person, (f/n). I am lucky to have met you. Thank you so much.” He said, watching as she shied away. Sadly, (f/n) knew that’s where their interaction would end. He needed to leave and she wasn’t that special, so he wouldn’t be coming back. But at least… he knew her. He knew her name and hopefully, he wouldn’t forget for a while.
“Anything for you, Deku.” She mumbled, trying to keep her smile up. She led him to the front door and bid him a goodbye, watching as he activated his quirk and disappeared into the night. (f/n) closed her door and leaned against it, a smile on her face.
She met Deku. She helped him, he got to know her name and he even called her cute! She giggled like a schoolgirl, covering her face with her hands. She quickly cleaned up the mess she’d made and went back to bed, her mind still on the hero. Unfortunately, she was too excited to get any sleep that night.
~***~
(f/n) sighed as she laid down in bed. She wasn’t very tired but it was already two in the morning and she needed to get rest or she’d be exhausted the next day. She walked out of her closet, changed into her little Deku nightgown. She was still so embarrassed that he saw her in that, but at the same time, it was her favorite so she kept wearing it.
It had been almost a whole month since she’d last seen him, and sadly, she was correct. Deku wasn’t coming back. She knew that from that start, but her stupid heart kept some inkling of hope. Of course, that hope shattered as the days went by and she didn’t see him.
She frowned a little. Why did she think she was special? She was just another fan. He had thousands and… she wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. Nothing that would catch Deku’s eyes.
(f/n) turned off her lights and laid in bed, scrolling through her phone. Deku had been pretty busy recently, he’d been rising in the ranks and he was officially ranked 9th this month. She was so happy for him, anyone who knew Deku knew it was his dream to be number 1. He was getting closer and closer and (f/n) couldn’t have been happier.
The sudden ringing of her doorbell almost made her drop her phone. She sat up, unsure if she heard right. She waited a few seconds and heard it again. Who would be visiting her this late at night?
“I swear to god, (bff/n), if that’s you this late, I will throw a fit.” She mumbled as she grabbed her phone and walked out to her living room. Her friend had a tendency to show up this late with food or snacks and as much as (f/n) wanted to reject her, she just couldn’t.
(f/n) unlocked her door and opened it, her eyes widened and she froze. The male turned around and gave her a bright smile.
“(f/n)! I really hope I wasn’t bothering you.” (f/n)’s eyes glanced down at Deku and saw that he was wearing casual clothing.
“Wh-what’s g-going on?” She asked, stuttering as the embarrassment crept up. HE CAUGHT HER WEARING THAT STUPID DRESS AGAIN!
“I know it’s really late, but it’s the only time I ever have. I’m usually busy with hero work during the daytime.”
“Th-that’s fine, a-are you hurt again?” He shook his head and laughed a little.
“Actually, no. I came here to see you.”
“S-see me? Why?” Although she may have sounded like an idiot, no one could blame her, she was faced with her favorite hero… again! He chuckled at her response and moved a little closer.
“Because I like you. And I wanted to be friends. Will you be my friend?”
“Oh, we can be way more than that.” She answered, without thinking. His eyes widened and she opened her mouth to defend herself but nothing came out. Instead, she opted to shut her mouth, and sighed in defeat. “Th-that came out wr-wrong-”
“Then let’s go on a date.”
“A date?!” He nodded and sheepishly chuckled.
“Can I come in?” (f/n) almost facepalmed at her actions. He was still standing outside of her apartment! She immediately opened the door and moved aside, letting him walk in.
“Sorry!” She said, shutting the door and locking it. He smiled at her and shook his head.
“It’s ok,” his eyes traveled down to her dress again, “Ah, you must really like this hero.”
“Oh um- well about th-that! You see,” as she fumbled around with her words, he waited patiently for her to explain herself. Of course, he was just teasing and he had to admit, that blush on her cheeks was adorable.
“Yes?” She pouted a little, her cheeks bright red now.
“You’re… m-my favorite h-hero.”
“Oh?” He asked, moving closer to her, making her look down, shyly. She couldn’t speak, so she only nodded.
“Well, you’re my favorite hero too.” Her head shot up at his words, clearly in disbelief.
“H-hero?! M-me? N-no way.” He laughed a little at her response and nodded, arguing back.
“You are. You helped me that night and I really needed it. I thought I didn’t, but I was in a bit of trouble. So thank you, again. To me, you’re a hero. You’re my hero.” Tears start to pool around her gorgeous (e/c) eyes, making him smile softly. He wasted no time before engulfing her in a hug. She hugged back, breathing in his scent. He smelled sweet, almost like candy. It was comforting and she really didn’t want to let go.
(f/n) was madly in love with a stranger, someone she barely knew. It was a little… sad at first. But now that she had a chance to get to know him, she was beyond excited. Especially when he’d asked her out on a date. Who knew, all she needed was a chance encounter with Deku, her favorite hero.

Are the Villains “right”?
Okay, so I was scrolling through the bnha spoilers tag whilst procrastinating work and I’m really not living for the vibes there. My biggest issues fall into two main camps: “this arc is going to be the end of the League”, and “Villain stans are hypocrites with no reading comprehension for condemning the Heroes’ behaviour”, and I believe both of these statements can be addressed simultaneously, whilst also giving me a convenient excuse to not write. So without further ado,
Part 1: Themes
Right from the very beginning of the series, literally the first line, one thing is made blatantly clear: This series is not going to be about good guys and bad guys. “All men are not created equal” is not a line that implicates an inherent divide between good and evil, unless you’re an actual eugenicist. And pretty much every important character is designed to criticise a different aspect of the established system.
Izuku: The Quirkless are worthless. Not explicitly, but... everyone knows it.
Bakugou: If you have a good Quirk, you are praised and treated as special, and as a consequence you’re never expected to learn and grow as a person.
Shoto: Dedicating your entire life to becoming strong to the detriment of your own health is the best way to climb to the top.
All Might: You don’t have to worry about anything. A Hero will save you.
Shinsou: If you have a Villain’s Quirk, you’re going to be a Villain, no matter the quality of your personality.
Kirishima: If you’re not flashy, there’s no point even trying.
Hawks: Similar to Shoto, if you show natural promise then it’s acceptable to groom you as a weapon.
I’m sure there are others that I’ve missed. Each of these characters’ individual developments have been focused around them overcoming these ingrained ideas and growing and succeeding despite them - with the exception, perhaps, of Hawks. So if several of the major Hero characters are designed to illustrate and criticise the established system, what about the villains? I guess if the Heroes are stories about people succeeding despite what the world tells them, then the Villains are stories about what happens when they don’t.
Spinner: Mutants are second-class citizens and should be treated as such.
Toga: If your Quirk is considered to be bad or gross, then you should be punished for wanting to use it.
Twice: The world won’t make space for your special needs.
Magne: If you don’t fit the mould of what people want you to be, you won’t be respected.
And Shigaraki: It’s not our responsibility to help you. If you weren’t saved, that must mean you’re not worth saving.
The one thing that both the Heroes and the Villains have in common is that they are tools to show the audience the flaws in BNHA’s society. It’s canon that Quirks appeared suddenly, and though by the time BNHA is set in, society has tried to adapt to fit it and is making some progress towards being functional, it’s clear that it has a long, long way to go, because it’s failing so many people. (Draw some parallels to real life, hm?). BNHA’s overarching themes of individual worth not being more important than collective good and how rules and structure created in good will can result in a lot of pain and abuse are, first and foremost, exemplified in the characters themselves. I like to tell people who find Shigaraki’s motivations vague and uncompelling that Shigaraki doesn’t need to have a point, he is the point, and this is exactly the reason why.
I also believe that this is primarily why for Horikoshi to end the League here would be, frankly, terrible writing. We have engaged with the LOV more than pretty much any other Shonen villain group I can think of, almost any villain group at all. We’ve seen them develop as much as we’ve seen the heroes develop, especially in Shigaraki’s case, and to have Shigaraki only be their ‘first-year villain’ or whatever would be disrespectful, wasteful, and thematically inappropriate. To have a more classic, pre-developed villain whose villainy seems to stem from some inherent evil characteristic like AfO or Overhaul would ultimately defeat the story of how the worst villains are created by flaws in the system, not born.
Part 2: Fan Response
Sometimes I can’t believe I still have to reiterate this to people, but it is possible to stan a character whilst simultaneously recognising that they are flawed, often critically so. When did we move from adoring villains to saying if you like this character you must be an inherently bad person because of this list of bad things they did?
The thing is that the vast majority of ‘opinions’ on fan blogs are... poorly thought out and shallow, to put it lightly. When it’s 2am and I’m answering an ask about my opinions on x plot point, it’s not gonna be well thought out and thoroughly researched. I’m probably a bit tipsy, kind of tired, and just typing out whatever my initial response is. And really, if I reblog a bit of art with the caption ‘Shigaraki did nothing wrong’, do you really think I’m being serious? A lot of what we say is hyperbolic and meant to either be funny or to evoke an emotion, not because we actually believe it.
That being said, the League in particular, I believe, resonates with a lot of people in the current political climate. A group of outcasts with characteristics considered undesirable by the wider population coming together and genuinely caring about one another whilst they aim to completely eradicate the system that hurt them? As an angry, marginalised leftist in a society that seems increasingly determined to wipe my chances at a good life out without blinking an eye, hell yeah that resonates with me. Being able to crumble the cripplingly complex and morally vile system I live in to dust and starting over is one hell of an appealing power fantasy. Does that mean I think murder is okay? Obviously not. It’s a fantasy. If there’s one place where I can live out those fantasies without consequences, it’s here. In fiction. And so it seems really stupid to me to be confronted with the idea that if I like a fictional violent radical I’m accused of condoning murder and kidnapping.
Part 3: Are the Heroes right?
So a lot of the posts I saw that aggravated me were framed like 'how can the villain stans think Miruko and Gran Torino's behaviour is worse than Shigaraki's?', but like... who was saying that?
I feel like certain people's views of the heroes versus villains debate falls under the same fallacies as a lot of political arguments- that is to say, if I'm criticising one side, I must be defending the other. Which is... just blatantly untrue. When we say that the heroes' consistent dehumanisation of a man who is, first and foremost, a victim of significant grooming and abuse throughout his life, is gross and cruel, and that this attitude is mirrored in an awful lot of the hero-villain interactions implying a certain level of empathetic alienation and lack of accountability, we're not saying they shouldn't be trying to take Shigaraki down. Of course they should, he's going to decimate hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. But, like, does that mean they're exempt from all criticism? Should we be excusing the cruel and dismissive attitudes of the heroes and ignoring the behaviours of their side that lead to further 'villainisation' of marginalised people just because they're responsible for saving lives? No. Because once again, one of the key themes of BNHA is that neither side is perfect, and neither side is right.
Mass murder is wrong. So is systemic cruelty towards the oppressed. You don't have to approve of one to criticise the other. So next time you see one of those posts and jump to the conclusion that villain stans have no reading comprehension, pls remember these points.
Anyway, that's my little rant. Sorry.
Tl;dr, villain stans aren't stupid or glorifying murder, we're just capable of criticising more than one type of bad behaviour.

However, that fragile calm is soon shattered when a colossal titan manages to breach the supposedly impregnable outer wall, reigniting the fight for survival against the man-eating abominations.
After witnessing a horrific personal loss at the hands of the invading creatures, Eren Yeager dedicates his life to their eradication by enlisting into the Survey Corps, an elite military unit that combats the merciless humanoids outside the protection of the walls. I’m making a BNHA x Steven Universe AU!
I’ve always wanted to start this (for like, over a year lol) but I knew it was going to be a lot of work and I never felt like it was the right time. So when I did start, it was pretty difficult, not gonna lie. I had never drawn in the SU style before, so I had to learn how to do that before I could even start working on this stuff. (I'll probably make a seperate post on how I learned the Steven Universe style too).
So when it came time to draw broccoli boy and boom boom man in that style, I was still a little lost. Izuku was a lot easier than I expected him to be tbh. I referenced him after his hero pose (this one) so doing the pose wasn’t hard at all. But so far, what I’ve figured out is that the facial expressions is the difficult part. My own style is more detailed than the SU style, so it was hard to simplify expressions, but still have the deep emotion the characters in SU portray.
Katsuki’s character was a looooot more difficult lol. I had to figure out what gem he was going to be, for starters. My first idea was for him to be a Jasper, and for him to be similar to Amethyst in the sense that he’s kind of a midget lol. But I just couldn’t associate “Jasper” with Katsuki. I think it’s because in my mind, the name “Jasper” is already associated with someone else, so I kept going.
I looked at a lot of gemstones, but I finally came across Fire Opal. Already, it’s a pretty cool name, but I just really love the gem itself. It’s made up of fiery reds and oranges, but it has these iridescent shards of turquoise and violet that I really like, and I feel like it suits Katsuki’s explosive personality.
Designing his clothes was definitely a process as well. I went through a ton of different designs before I got to one I was happy with. His color palette was the thing that I think I had the hardest time with. I messed with a lot of different colors, but the two that are up there are the ones I kept coming back to.
I’m pretty happy with how they came out, and I hope you like them too!
Anyway, here’s some of the backstory I came up with:
Fire Opal’s role on Homeworld was pretty similar to that of a Jasper; he was 1 of about a dozen soldiers created solely for stopping the Rebellion. Unlike Jasper(s), his Kindergarten was not on Earth, and he and the other Fire Opals were sent directly to Earth to end the rebellion and stop the Crystal Gems. Every Fire Opal had the ability to wield fire from their hands, but Facet - KA4C Cut3HA (aka Kacchan as Izuku later calls him), liked to pride himself on his own ability because his flames were stronger and better than everyone else’s. Because he was the first Fire Opal to emerge from his Kindergarten, he was appointed as the leader of the Fire Opals, and led them into battle with strength and bravery.
p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545} p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545; min-height: 14.0px}
Although they were a very powerful bunch, they had joined the battle towards the end, and so it wasn’t long until the Diamonds used the Corrupting Light on Earth to eradicate the Crystal Gems. Unfortunately, he was the only one of his group to escape in time before the planet was struck. Furious that he couldn’t save his group in time, he returned to Homeworld feeling defeated.
Years later, he was assigned to attack Pirates who had stole something of value from Homeward. During the battle, something on his pod malfunctioned, and he ended up crash-landing on Earth. The impact caused him to “poof” back into his gem, and that’s where Izuku found him.
Because the crash was basically in Izuku’s front yard, he saw the whole thing, and immediately went to check out the crash. He didn’t find anyone, but he did find Fire Opal’s gem in the middle of the wreckage. Thinking it looked super cool, he took it with him.
The next day, however, Izuku was surprised to find that his rock had suddenly turned into a person. A very red and angry person.
And that’s all I got for right now. The story isn’t really set in stone yet (haha get it lol), but that’s all I came up with for now. Thank you for reading this far, and if you have any suggestions or anything, let me know!

It is such an Izuku thing to do which makes me angry. Like half the point of the Sports Festival Arc was to say 'self-sacrifice and self-destruction are not the way, they only hurt you and others in the end'. All Might is walking proof of that lesson. I'd thought Izuku had finally, finally, learned that lesson.
But in another way it's fascinating because people are complex and the characters in BNHA are very well-rounded. Izuku has been prone to hurting himself for others since literally day one. The boy was belittled and abused his whole life and, as an author I admire once said "He's willing to use his body as a tool to achieve the safety of others and while his own safety remains much lower priority." It's such an Izuku trait and, even though he's verbalized on several occasions that he's going to try to focus more on his own well-being, these are extenuating circumstances. Or at least that's what he probably tells himself.
Because there's always going to be moments where 'X person needs me' or 'Oh it's okay because this is an important mission'. And like, I get you gotta go full out sometimes but that fact that Izuku can still justify wrecking his body like that tells me that he hasn't really taken that lesson to heart. Because people don't change overnight. Izuku can't unlearn his self-destructive need to help others at the cost of his own health after a couple of months. It's been reinforced over and over again but, when it comes down to it, it's one thing to know a thing is bad and another to stop doing it entirely.
So Izuku, like most humans, reverts back to previous lines of thought in moments of crisis. And you're right, I'm sure some of the heroes will praise Izuku for his Plus Ultra behavior because that's that way superhero society is set up right now. But you know what I want? badly? I want all those heroes to praise him, but I want All Might to properly scold him.
We saw Toshinori briefly chastise Izuku after Kamino Ward but it wasn't serious. This time I want our 7 foot sunflower, who made a career how out of throwing himself in harms way for his feelings, to put his foot down. Because hindsight is 20/20 and he knows what will happen if Izuku continues down that path. Izuku is brilliant, his analytical mind is his best feature, All Might needs to smack that boy and tell him to use it. Izuku keeps defaulting to 'it's okay to break myself in the name of peace', All Might needs to make it perfectly clear that Izuku needs to eradicate that style of thought. Because if Izuku keeps thinking that's an option, one day he's going to find himself just like his hero: half dead and unable to help anyone.
