#oc: deia#oc: evander#oc: matthas#tay plays datv#datv spoilers#NOT because its sneaky. they lived in minrathous there are ZERO birds it was extremely conspicuous of them to be doing all that lmao#no they just do it because they are losers. nerds.#birdheads <3#ive talked abt deia's nickname being rook bc her mother always referred to the family as her little rookery#(so technically all three siblings are rooks lol. deia is the only one who used it as an actual alias)#and that name in turn stemmed from deia's mother being a bird enjoyer and her passion being birdwatching#deia loves it too. so does matthas. evander does not care at all but has ridiculous bird knowledge via osmosis#and the whole family just have an inside code of niche bird noises#anyway. this is so goofy to type out but it did make me cry earlier today#thinking of deia using their signal after losing them all in the chaos of the final battle#and not hearing anything back. stumbling through her ruined family street and seeing her destroyed home#and collapsing into grief. and then finally hearing that call from the rubble :)
