I know about the caribert thing and I don't act like the archived voiceline is canon, because they obviously forgot to replace it with the canon voiceline, could have been an earlier translation mistake. So why make a big deal out of it? If that was the canon one why not use this voiceline and transcript in the actual scene?

And what is the chinese original of the voiceline anyways? Do you know

Could be a Sara situation where in eng she claims gorou has five older brothers while in cn she just says something about his name sounding strong?

definitely dont act like its canon btw!! it was accidentally left there and it is no longer the real intention plot-wise, plus, we cant check CN version or any other version for that matter because only EN made the mistake of not fixing the archives out of all different languages lmaaooooo

We also can't be sure if the archive version was the original for all languages and was changed at a later time because it revealed too much about Kaeya and his involvement...

This is why it's a big deal to so many, because if this is what happened, then it changes the meaning and the reality of Kaeya's past and possible future. I guess they don't want to reveal anything much yet with the game being not even halfway thru (3 nations away from Khaenri'ah at that)(yes i also think we're not even 50% of the way in yet).

Imagine if this really wasn't a mistranslation but a late change in the script. This could be why they have the voicelines already prepared in the archives and EN team simply forgot to replace it with the new one.

At the end of the day, people are free to speculate, especially since we will never know the truth on the matter (unless you are someone from the script writing and EN translating team) then this is all we can do about it for now.

It's a curious little mistake, but it's a nice food for thought kind of thing.
