Sometimes I wish that filtering words/tags just removed those posts from your dash instead of concealing them, it makes me feel bad like "look what you did, you blocked this post, you killed him, don't you want to see him? Just take a little peek?" Mostly because I only have fandom tags blocked for stuff im just not interested in wasting my peepers on, like i come here for funny/engaging content and I decided to just skip the stuff that I know I'm not gonna care about, but seeing it on my dash anyway just makes me feel like I'm being petty for having it blocked 😭

#like oh no i wasted 3 seconds reading the start of a paragraph about characters im not interested in #ive mostly only done it when people go on reblogging sprees too cause my whole dash will be some show/game im not interested in #but sometimes it will filter peoples usernames which is kinda dumb to me #i imagine this must be much worse for people who have a lot of stuff filtered and filter triggering things #like thanks tumblr i filtered this so i wouldnt have to think about it but youre still putting the post in my face #with a big banner that says what triggering thing it is and thus making me have to think about said trigger #like idk again i dont filter for triggers so i dont know if thats something that people deal with #but if im annoyed just seeing the occasional blocked fandom post i cant imagine having to see something upsetting i blocked #at least for me i dont really want to even hear a certain word if it will make me think of something upsetting #like ive im trying not to think about rape i dont want to see the words 'rape' 'sa' 'abuse' or whatever even if i dont know the context
