the drake vs kendrick beef still makes me reel because of how utterly one-sided it was in hindsight. like

Drake: well you're short and according to your music you hit your wife, too.

Kendrick: L + ratio + not only can you not understand metaphor and take everything literally, you can't raise a kid, you can't treat women right, you ESPECIALLY can't treat teenage girls right, you can't fit into the culture you so desperately want to be a part of because of how manufactured your persona is, you can't buy your daddy's love, you can't be a good son to your mother, and you can't shake the insecurity that's plagued you your entire life. die

#ive looked into it and apparently there isnt actually any solid proof that kendrick beat his wife #im NOT saying it DIDNT happen. its still very possible #but the fact that his (ex?) wife showed up dancing in his music video tells me that its more than likely not true? or they resolved it #but either way that doesnt negate the weird shit drake has done over the years that we have physical proof of #like his bizarre fucking interaction where once he found out a fan was 17 he STILL said weird shit #not to mention his strange relationship with younger millie bobbie brown #and id like to remind everyone that he only ever seems to have these prominent mentor relationships with teenage girls #i would be less suspicious if he just tried to mentor teens of both genders #its honestly crazy how brutally precise kendrick's takedown was #drake fired some shots with family matters but heart part six was a fucking joke #kendrick went right for the jugular
