ik it's not the new year yet but 2023 is the year i learn to touch type
#it's always felt like rolling my rs. like smthn im physically unable to do#even tho its. not rlly smthn you can be physically unable to do bar other disabilities that i dont have#like it feels super weird to my wrists but tbf the way i type currently also feels weird on my wrists after a while#which probably isn't healthy lmao#my school cut typing from the curriculum and then i just kinda. never bothered to keep doing touch typing#bc I could type faster without it (bc i hadnt learned and practiced the correct way lmao)#but yeah i think touch typing is definitely part of the wave of computer illiteracy we're getting w the younger side of gen z#older generations assumed we learned everything on our phones so we didn't get taught anything#so anything that can't be done on a phone you just. don't learn unless you end up taking smthn in HS or college that requires it#like you need to know how to fumble your way through excel and word and how to extract a zip file at least#ive given up on rolling my rs tho im sorry#ive had ppl explain to me how to do it in so many different ways and i just can't. you get gross throat noises or nothing
