I feel like I've mentioned this before, but the in-universe reason Louise doesn't show up in the fic is because she's on holiday with her family during this time. She comes back and is like "what the fuck happened"

Louise has the functional braincell. It's quite possible things wouldn't have been so crazy if she was there. Possibly.

Hilda is possibly more danger-prone as a changeling. She's a troll part of the time; she's harder to hurt! This unfortunately translates to getting into more situations that could hurt her because of the whole perceived invulnerability thing. Pure of heart, dumb of ass, etc. etc.

Chaos auntie Astrid loves coming around and getting into trollish misadventures :D
