Perception: From a young age Edward was adored not only by his parents but by the united kingdom. He has always been highly favored in the press and public. He very swiftly went from the jovial little prince with bright eyes and an even brighter smile to the charismatic king who was full of candor and love for his country. Known to be a ladies man since he was a teenager, often referred to by the press as “the world’s most eligible bachelor”.

Early Life: Born in London as the first son of the Duke and Duchess of Buckingham later known as King James IV and Queen Grace. At his birth he was the second-in-line to the throne but by the age of twelve with his father’s succession to the throne he became the heir apparent. By five years old Edward was accompanying his parents on official visits, catching more attention than usual due to his young age.

Education: He was educated privately at home until he reached thirteen and was admitted to Eton College an independent all boys boarding school in windsor, england where he received an “A” in History of Art, “B” in Biology, and “A” in English Literature. He was always noted to be rather intelligent and at one point there were false rumors spread that he was receiving help beyond ethical practice to receive the grades he did, these rumors were shut down rather quickly by the prince (at the time) himself noted to have said in response “i am not any brainless boy. i believe in getting what you earn, if i put forth the work that earns me a failing grade i would accept that, that is what i’d deserve. thankfully, i put alot of work into my a-levels...and it shows." He was accepted into the University of Cambridge where he inevitably earned a Masters of Arts Degree with a main focus on Philosophy and received first-class honors. When it came out that he was attending Cambridge the female applicant population spiked, throughout the four years he attended the female population on campus saw a clear increase. He lived on campus throughout university and was apart of the schools tennis and polo teams. While on campus he was known as “Bradley” to avoid any potential journalist discovering his identity. 

Military: It was like a right of passage for his family to go into the Royal Military and so Edward had always known he wanted to serve. During his second year at University he was admitted to and completed his course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals. In 2006 it  was announced that he and is regiment were scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan. With him being the heir apparent to the throne many were not sold on the idea of putting him into such a dangerous situation like front line combat; the talks of pulling his deployment were quickly put to rest when Edward publicly stated, “although the concerns are heard, i didn’t undergo sandhurst for the experience, i don’t have a military title for the glamour of it. i will not sit home on my ass while my boys fight for their country.” later adding “i don’t know if that’s [someone who is okay with not being deployed because of status] the sort of heir apparent this country deserves.” In 2007 he was secretly deployed out to Afghanistan for a little over teen weeks for his first and last time in active combat. He went on to attend Defense Helicopter Flying School where he went on to learn to fly military helicopters. In early 2009 his uncle presented him with his flying brevet (wings) during the Army Air Corps Base ceremony. Soon after Edwrad let it be known he intended on going back into active duty for the Royal Air Force, unfortunately it all came to a screeching halt when his father passed and the prince was now the king, ending his military career right then and there.

Relationship(s): A true ladies man, he went on frequent play dates as a toddler and then went on to bring girls to school events and even royal events at times. His first serious relationship was with the princess heir presumptive of germany although it would have been a good arrangement his mother was never the biggest fan of the relationship and somehow the press had picked up on that along the way. The relationship ended after four years, while he was in his second year at Cambridge. He managed to not get photographed with any of the girls he rebounded with throughout the year after the break up. It was a rough time for him and you’ll find that Edward has a tendency of supplementing things with women or making attempts to ignore his issues with women. During his third year at Cambridge he met Elena Manchester a girl a year younger than him who he adored for the simple fact that she truly could not care less about who he was, he subsequently fell in love with her and after years of an relationship she became almost as beloved as Edward (but not quite lol), she was considered to be the “future queen consort” by the public. They secretly got engaged in 2008 and had plans to marry a year later but the passing of his father took precedence; Edward was swept away in the mourning and the whole succession to the throne were he surely wasn’t the best fiance around. They broke off the engagement in 2010 but stayed together until they amicably broke things off in 2012. Since the break up Edward has reverted back to his old ways of sleeping/dating around without a hint of commit to be found. 

The Throne: His father’s passing was hard for Edward, although they did not always see eye to eye, he looked up to him and loved him. He was lucky to receive as much love as he did in the wake of his father’s passing from his country, it really helped him heal from it. (note: his father passed of cancer). Edward took the throne when he was 25 as Edward III. He spent much of his teen years debating whether he’d prefer to take on a more original reign name such as Arthur I, he liked the idea of starting a “trend” but inevitably decided to keep the name of those he was named after.  His grandfather was Edward II and he was able to see first hand how gracefully he ruled the Kingdoms and how beloved he was and not to mention Edward I also known as Edward the Great or The Father of Great Britain, it became an easy choice to use his given name as his reign name as Edward prayed to be even half the king the two men before him were. Now ten years in and that prayer has surely been answered, his honesty at time blunt honesty is well received by the vast majority of his country people, it is known that he cares about nothing more than he does the welfare of his people and their country. Although he does put himself on a bit of a pedestal it is not in the way you’d assume, Edward was quoted during his coronation speech as saying “i am inspired by the loyalty and affection i have been shown, i am uplifted and sustained by this realization...[] as this day draws to a close, i leave us all with this, by God’s Grace and Mercy the years that i reign and serve as your King we stand together. Although you will all stand with me, there is no one beside me, as i will hold you above me with everything i do...[]”
