Something i can't stop thinking about is someone signing thank you to me. I don't know why but it sticks in my mind more than customers saying thank you normally does. And typing this out I think helped me realize why. I don't know why they were signing, I don't know if they were deaf or mute or both, I just know their order was communicated to me through their notes app and pointing. I don't know if they could hear me so I tried pointing and showing numbers on my fingers where possible. They probably knew I would have no clue what they said in sign but they still said thank you (the only bit of sign outside of numbers and some swears I know). They did it when it wasn't as necessary because most wouldn't know either way. Yeah politeness either way but idk it's in my brain
