10 things you should know about Korean singer-actress IU

Get to know singer-actress IU!

1.) IU’s real name is Lee Ji Eun. She was born on May 16, 1993. 

2.) IU once talked about the difference between her stage name and real name. She said in an interview with Ceci Magazine, when she's under the spotlight as "IU" she acts more "cautiously and considers things more carefully," while at home and with family and friends as "Lee Ji Eun" she "acts really randomly and impulsively, and lives simply." She also stated how despite the difference, these are still both her.

3.) She starred in various Korean dramas such as "Hotel Del Luna" and "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," among others. 

4.) She is gained a lot of recognition due to her 3 high notes in her popular track "Good Day."

5.) IU’s male fans are called “biscuits” while her female fans are called “star candies.” Overall, her universal fandom name is called uaenas.

6.) She is best friends with actress Yoo In Na.  IU is known to have a lot of celebrity friends, her Love Poem series of concerts in Korea was a huge testament to this as actors like Lee Jun Ki, Yeo Jin Goo, Kim Soo Hyun, and actresses like Song Hye Kyo all attended her concert.
