Personal bits:
Ashmit looks like a stuck-up who only thinks about "srs bsnss". He has no real time for frivolities, and he didn't even bother to find out what names or other information his Warframes could remember about themselves (nor to name them himself either, for that matter). So they are all just "my Umbra/Mesa Prime/Equinox Prime" and so on. He didn't even name his weapons. He "named" his gilded Amps after what rank the single parts are, so each one has been something like "Amp 1.1.1", "Amp 2.3.2", and so on.
So far, only a couple Warframes have their original names, both of them simply because they remembered them on their own.
He also frowns a lot upon how some other Tenno seem to treat their own Frames, from simply giving them names to treating them all like some surrogate siblings or friends, or (and here his frown gets really strong) even lovers/SO. It's a bit of a miracle if Ashmit has been customising the colours and plating of his own Frames and the rest of his arsenal. And he's gonna get some incidental 2nd degree burns over this latter topic: - Ashmit: "We are at war! What in the Void is up with this Fashionframe nonsense?" - Morrigan: "Well, if you despise 'Fashionframe' this much... ‘What in the Void’ is up with your Nezha and that 'Empyrean' attire?" The truth is, his gay bum just couldn't resist that "Empyrean" thing because of... Some detail in the backside. But the hell will freeze over before he'll openly admit that. And for pretty much the same reason he went and prepped his own Umbra with the "Zato" outfit.
This “Assmit” is bound to slowly change his mind about Warframes the day his whole (Prime) arsenal starts to show signs of self-awareness “Umbra-style”. Given how some Nekros Prime has been the first to do that, it’s only a matter of time before the others will.
Watch him implode someday, because being NOT all about having at least one tiny break once in a while may have this effect also on an almighty MR 24 Tenno. (You may cue Damienne placing her palms on both his cheeks, squeezing and whispering: "Duuuuuuuuuude... Take a f*ckin' Chill Pill!")
He needs for someone to literally drag him somewhere to chill, once in a while. The only times one may spot him going fishing on his own it's because he needs for those extra resources. On the flipside, it's oddily easy to trick Ashmit to leave the Orbiter for some kickback & chill. Just tell him that there's some mission somewhere where his presence is needed, and he'll be there in a heartbeat. Not because he's that naive to fall for this trick every single time, but because "what if I turn this one down and it's a legit mission, this time?" reasons. This is also how Damienne tricked him into attending a picnic in the Plains: - Ashmit: "I thought my Cephalon reported some Ghoul activity?" - Damienne: "Oh, did it? :)" (passes him a plate with a slice of Maprico pie) - Ashmit: "... You faked a Cephalon transmission, didn't you <__<?" - Damienne: "Maaaaybe. Or maybe there really are some Ghouls to trash. But fighting on an empty stomach is no good. Either case is a win-win. :3 Now..." (shoves the slice into his mouth) "Zip it, sit down and eat~"
The only pseudo-military training Ashmit ever saw was when the Orokin "recruited" all the Tenno for that Somatic Link thing to control the Warframes, albeit it took him a moment to be baited like the rest convinced.
Now the Sentients are still around and, on top of that, there are more enemies threatening the people in the Origin System, and this is all he needs to know. He just wants to keep everyone safe, like pretty much every other Tenno. And to do that, Ashmit has been pursuing his personal goal to get the best Frames and weapons available.
Ashmit is generally a lone wolf, but for a different reason than Momo: he always feels like everyone is slowing the whole mission down. The only missions where Ashmit takes his sweet, sweet time are “rescue” and “spy”, for in both there’s a strong need to use caution, even if he's got an OP Ivara.
He and Damienne were in the same clan, until the day of some unfortunate remarks from other Tenno towards the latter beanie’s scarred face. Right after leaving, Ashmit decided to make a clan himself, with his own rules, where everyone could join on condition that they would’ve shown the due respect towards one another, regardless of (trivial) things like personal look and such. The clan was then named “Red Lotus”, and Ashmit eventually asked Damienne if she wanted to be his second-in-command. And Damienne accepted in a heartbeat to be Ashmit’s “sidekick”,
In the immediate aftermath of the accident aboard the Zariman, Ashmit failed to save his 15 yo brother from one of the adults. The older boy killed the adult on the spot, but the younger boy's injuries were too severe and he couldn’t be saved. While mourning the fresh loss, Ashmit set up one of the "hunting parties", leading them with the intent of taking down every single grown-up still alive. What drove him at that time had been both survival instincts and a desire to avenge his brother.
By the time the Orokin rescue party could board the Zariman, Ashmit's disdain towards the grown-ups had reached the guard level, and his trust seemed broken for good by the way the Orokin handed the situation with the Zariman children. It took him a lot of talking and convincing from Marghulis to get him to trust at least some adults again.
Since the events after "The Sacrifice", all his trust in the Lotus is gone with the Void, simply put. Ashmit now believes that "Lotus" had been actually doublecrossing the Tenno since the very beginning, only waiting for the right moment to turn on them. Even so, he still carries on his duties as a Tenno, because at least one thing Lotus used to say still proves to be right: the system is chaotic. The factions currently at war are still bringing harm to innocent people, and Ashmit wishes to stop their destructive nonsenses for good. Another effect of that aftermath is that his disdain towards the Orokin has been renewed, albeit partially: he can understand their reasons behind that “Helminth”project, but he disagrees on the method of execution. Even so, Ashmit recognises that that’s a thing of the past, and all those made into “Warframes” can’t be reverted to who they were before. And as such, he’s been treating all his own Frames it's always been intended: controlling them all to fight off the enemies. This doesn’t mean that he’s been mistreating his Warframes, rather: Ashmit has always been taking good care of them.
The only downside is with Frames he may consider weaker, for Ashmit won’t hesitate to dispose of a weak “Trash-frame” to make room for a new and possibly stronger one. He doesn’t even hesitate to speak his mind in front of them. This is the reason why he got rid of the Nyx that eventually happened in the good hands of Momo. Yes, that Nyx got openly called “an easily disposable Trash-frame, good only for gaining some more experience to reach the next rank”.
Ashmit is not fazed the slightest by Wally's random appearances and he just brushes his visits off as minor nuisances that can be perfectly ignored, since that entity seems to never really interfere with his activities.
In time and despite their very different personalities, he developed a sibling-like relationship with Damienne. This is most probably due to the girl's young age (13) being close to that of the brother he lost in the Zariman accident, albeit it's purely subconscious, for Ashmit can't remember much of that accident. Damienne is also the only allowed to dub him “Assmit” without consequences, for Ashmit knows that she never intends it to be a real insult. On the other hand, Damienne is perfectly capable of trying to deck anyone else trying to call her (surrogate) big brother like that.
His musical taste is close to some of nowadays Bollywood songs and Aerosmith. He especially likes those songs that are not too loud but still pack some "oomph!" If his mood is good enough, he may hum along the tune. If it's really good, he may sing the whole lyrics. Yes, Damienne once busted him in the middle of his private karaoke; the smol bean had to fight a urge to demand him to sing her to sleep every single night afterwards.
