All Saints Wake

((So I might've taken some inspiration from ItsMeIshmi on Twitter and wrote a thing based on this pretty picture!

And here’s my character in her Halloween glam!! She’s adorable!))

((Set in the FUCK YOU CANON AU, and our fave Elezen has a day off to enjoy time with his beloved. Fair warning though, he is both sweet and PUNNY as FUCK in this. And I hate myself for them. Also our fave Elezen boi is a thirsty mofo and also looks really fucking hot.))

Raven sighs as she stands from lacing her boots. I am WAY too tall for these... She thinks as she looks herself over in the mirror as she smooths down the front of the dress.

She turns and watches the frills of the dress curl against her knees with a grin before taking a step towards the door, wobbling a little on the chunky platform boots. Her "staff" of the evening was a cool looking scythe that came with the attire. She spun it with a grin and cringed when she saw that it was sharp and had gotten stuck in the door. She tugged on it and even pressed her platformed boot to the door and pulled.

The result was her falling back against the opposite wall with a yell. "Ouch!"

"Raven?" She hears her beloved call before a knock.

"Come in love."

The door opened to reveal her beloved, dressed in black and red, reminiscent of a very beautiful vampire.

The sight made her unsure if she could stand. "My love..."

"Amethyst what happened?" He questioned softly as he offered her his hands. She took them and shakily stood, wobbling in his arms as he steadied her.

Raven flushed slightly. "I didn't realize my new weapon was so sharp..." She mumbled.

He looked up at the scythe stuck in the door and laughed. "Oh my love. Let me."

He eased the weapon from the door and handed it to his love, who took it and set it upon her back, her amethyst eyes downcast in shame.

And that simply would not do.

"My love it's alright. You are not hurt and no lasting damage has been done. Come, chin up and let me look at you?" He requested sweetly as he held her face.

She looked up at him, her eyes boring deep into his own and slowly she gave a small smile. "There you are." He mused as he kissed her softly.

She gave a soft laugh as she kissed him before she looked over to gather the hat that had fallen off her head. She grabbed it and smoothed it over her head, choosing to forgo the eyepatch that had been with it.

"What do you think?" She questioned softly.

Haurchefant smiled. "Beautiful my amethyst. Splendidly beautiful."

She smiled. "Is it wrong of me to say that you look very pretty in that tight vest?"

"Not at all. Quite frankly those boots do very good things to your legs..." He replied with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

She grinned. "Later love. I promised you we'd celebrate the festivities, and I am a woman of my word."

He gave a slight pout, to which Raven kissed off his lips. "Worry not, for I also promise on our return home you may have me. However you wish." She whispered against his lips, low and sweet, and that alone made him shudder.

"My beloved amethyst, you know not what those honeyed words do to me..." He breathed as he pulled her closer.

She grinned as she lead him through the doors and out of the Carline Canopy, the site of all the pumpkins and ghosts about the area made her smile.

"May I, my beloved?" Haurchefant offered his arm when she wobbled on her heels again.

She flushed as she accepted the offered arm, she felt too tall and off balance in the damned things as the pair made their way through the city.

"I feel like a giant." She mumbled as she lead him through into the markets.

Haurchefant just smiled. "Worry not, you are still beautiful. And I am more than willing to sink my teeth into you."

Raven groaned, a hot flush adorning her cheeks as she hides her face in his shoulder, hiding the smile she had on her face. "Haurchefant no."

"Oh come now Raven you enjoy my bloodly puns." He states with a grin, to which Raven groans harder at the awful pun.

The laugh that escaped his lips was absolutely worth all the awful puns she was to endure, and she would do so happily.

She smiled as he spun her around, delighted to watch the ruffles and frills of her dress dance along her legs, keeping a firm hold on her should she stumble in the heels. She may not enjoy her height but he adored it. He adored her.

As they approached the amphitheater did she sigh. The detective was at it again.

"Is something wrong my love?" Haurchefant questioned as he took her hand.

Raven shook her head. "Not really. The detective over there is determined to gather evidence that the Continental Circus is really a bunch of void sent parading around. That their antics are meant to actually hurt someone versus just the normal fun."

"But that could be serious!"

"And I treat it as such, though I do admit I have fun in the games they make. They make the old manon in the Central Shroud into what's basically a haunted house and it's fun to explore. If you want we can give it a shot?" She explained sweetly.

Haurchefant was quiet, thoughtful. "I might need to gather my blade just in case, but I would be amenable to exploring this place."

"You won't need it love. I don't feel a need to draw my staff. I've looked into this place twice now and it's harmless." Raven replied.

Haurchefant smiled as he gave a sigh. "Very well. I would feel better if I had one just in case though. If anything just to protect you."

Raven rolled her eyes affectionately. "You need not have to. But if you will it I will gather a blade for you. I believe I have one somewhere."

She quickly turned to look into her pack with a hum as she pulled out one of her old blades from her time in the Gladiator's Guild. "It isn't much, but I hope this works my love."

Haurchefant grinned in delight at the blade. It wasn't much, but it was a blade and that alone eased his mind. "Splendid my love! Thank you."

He kissed her briefly as the detective approached them, explaining the situation and the pair agreed to look into it. Raven wasn't worried about any possible danger and that alone eased his heart.

She lead him into the amphitheater where the pumpkin headed leader of the Continental Circus explained the rules of what was happening this year.

"My love you need not be afraid." Raven soothed as she rubbed at his shoulders.

Haurchefant laughed lightly. "I am a vampire knight! I do not scare so easily amethyst!"

Raven giggled, he was a little scared but he would not be so easily broken by fear. "Yes my beloved knight."

"Although my heart, I would feel better if you did not leave my side tonight." He mumbled low in her ear.

She kissed his cheek. "I will stay by your side as long as I am able. Some of the games require the players to be in different places at once. But I can promise to ensure you are safe the entire time." She explained softly as she wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace, and for once she thanked the gods for her height, for with the heels his head rested perfectly against her chest, his ear pressed to her beating heart. The rhythm soothed his racing thoughts as she ran her hands through his hair.

He smiled as he looked up at her. "Let us go then."

And with that the pair walked confidently into the portal that would lead them to the manor.

As it turned out, he didn't need to worry. The games were entertaining and with his costume he could easily sneak around the estate with little effort.

And the only thing that made it worth it was Raven at his side, laughing at the other players that they had been paired with.

As they made their way out of the manor and back into the light of the amphitheater did she start to wobble on her heels again. "I hate these boots..."

Haurchefant just gave a sweet smile and steadied her in his arms. "Tonight was a splendid night my love. I had a lot of fun." He states with a laugh.

Raven smiled. "I'm glad you had a good time my love. I know it was not the most ideal to spend the festivities with an investigation but..."

"Worry not! It was still fun all the same. And it put the detective's mind at ease. Though it is a bit concerning that he seems to do this every year." He assured.

Raven grinned. "Alright. Well if you wish to go back into the manor once we turn in our findings we can."

He gave a smile that made Raven shiver. "The festivities are a treat, but I see someone far sweeter that I would love to bite into. If she is willing?"

Raven will swear the sound she makes is from the horrible pun but she is very willing for her beloved to take whatever he needed from her.

In his ear she whispered, sweet and low. "Drink deep of me, my beloved angel of the night, for I am your lifeblood and your beating heart. Take of me what you desire, what you crave, and I will give myself to you without question, without hesitation. For I am yours, and yours I shall remain for all my days."

The low sigh he made as she spoke gave her his answer as she kissed him sweetly, pulling him closer as he slid a hand up through her hair. She sighs in his kiss as she is forced to pull away.

"What do you say we turn in our findings and then head back to our room?" She offers with a sweet, somewhat devious smile.

"You read my mind my heart." He replied, his voice low and deep with desire.

With that the pair quickly relayed their findings before sprinting off to the Carline Canopy laughing, and stumbling in Raven's case, the whole way back between breathy kisses.
