I should probably go back and watch more of the PJO episodes since I only did 2 of them but... it's just such a rewrite of the books, and the way most posts in my feed praise it, or claim its better or improving the original... Ehhh. Call me old fashioned but I like my slow-burns, here it feels like everything from the endgame is already set in stone.
#gonna tag it as#pjo show crit#bc it kinda is#but like this is more me wanting to give the show a chance and not finding the courage to do jt#at least with the original movie you can accept as a whacky bad adaptation and move on#but people worship the ground this show walks on#I guess it really goes to show I outgrew it#its still fun to read my favorite books but purely from a nostalgic perspective#and that's okay#I will probably get back to it eventually tho
