I keep seeing the same shit being said over and over again where it is "[character who is or was poor] cannot swim" and it pisses me off to no extent. Like. Poor people can swim? We can know how to swim? Even if we can't afford to go the the public pool there are other places to learn how to swim? Like lakes or other bodies of water? It pisses me off. So much.
#like personally my mom would sneak me and my brother into those gated apartment pools without lifeguards and we would swim there.#its so so classist. and oftentimes racist as well.
