this became more of a drabble but it encapsulates everything i'd except from johnny with a captive with stockholm syndrome. he'll be overthinking, he'll be insecure, and he'll take it out on you. then act all boyfriend material so you don't question it. he's such a joy to be around lmaooo

Johnny’s tactics proved to be worthwhile the more you eased yourself into the role of a captive, viewing your surroundings as a home since you had no escape to go to your own. It surprises him how quickly you succumbed to it, offering to take up chores. He was suspicious of you at first until he let you out in the junkyard to gather scraps. The cattle grid off, the gate open, you had every chance of escape. Your footing stayed planted on the soil, bare feet in the dry dirt, humming a tune as the sun beat down on you. You acted as if you were at home, taking your time, comfortable in your surroundings. You were the first of its kind in Johnny’s eyes.

Sometimes he caught you gazing at the pressure gate. Looking beyond the road to the horizon, deep in thought. Johnny would keep his eye on you, his hands busy with the car he was fixing up. Then you would sigh and look away, getting back to work. Johnny needed answers, he had to know what you were thinking. A dream, an opportunity? Are you kidding him?

“You ever thought about running away?” He would ask. You never gave a direct answer, your words were always like “I like it here”, “I have everything I need”

It did not calm his nerves. You can’t leave, you can’t defeat him. You cannot be convinced of anything except your devotion to him, otherwise all his work has gone to waste. He had to test you again, break any thought that crossed your mind.

He ambushed you in the quiet of the night, snuffling your screams with his hand, and pressing his knife to your neck. You only screamed once, resting when you saw Johnny, calm under his knife as you gazed into his eyes.

“If you ever think about leaving,” Johnny warned, “Goddammit- I’ll kill you. I’ll fucking kill you.” His words were insecure, his vowels broken. Masking his frustration with fury.

He shifted his hand to grip your hair, giving you a chance to speak. Your docile face gazing up at him, forcing a smile to appeal to him.

“I love you, Johnny… I do, I really do,” your calm words failed as he tensed his shoulders, pressing the knife closer to you. “But… I have a family. They’ll be worried sick about me. At least let me write to them, I’ll tell them that I found you, and I’m happy here. Please…” You weren’t necessarily lying, but there was still an inkling of what life was like before. Your whole life was ahead of you, letting you navigate the paths of life. You went down this one, longing for the possibilities there were before. You refused to admit defeat, mustering a fond smile.

It seemed like Johnny was thinking about it, but he was only steadying his knife, debating on slitting your throat. The spill of your blood flashed before his eyes before he made the split decision to replace the knife with his hand, closing your airflow.

“You have a family,” Johnny spat, “We’re your goddamn family. Got it?”

You nodded to the best of your ability, gripping his wrists, calling surrender. He lets go, scoffing at your pathetic coughs for air.

“You’re smart, so I suggest you start thinking smart thoughts,” Johnny’s remark was worse than his knife. You turned on your side, burying your face into the pillow to get back to sleep. Your eyes are wide open, tense under Johnny’s arms wrapped around you. He kisses your temple, soothing your head, as if nothing happened.

So my friend and I have been talking about trying a JJBA tabletop rpg module we found on the internet but only if our current dnd game ends. And he was like “hey Bree what kind of Stand would you want if we play?” So I like thought over it for a few days and I just couldn’t get this one out of my head and suddenly an entire character came to me, long story short I wish we could play both the dnd game and the jojo game bcuz I’m very excited

The Stand? It’s called Imagine Dragons. Obvious reference. But the Stand is TWO DRAGONS. Idk it kinda freaked me out when I read your ask but also this request is really cool so here u go 🐉

Giorno

- Was probably the one who found and befriended the dragon first. He likes snakes, thought it was a snake, went to check it out... oops sorry Bruno, a dragon followed me home, can we keep him?

- Honestly it also probably likes Giorno best and follows him around everywhere

- Constantly screams at him until Gold Experience gives it a plant or a critter to eat

- Giorno takes it for walks a lot, with it just chilling around his shoulders usually.

- Dragon knows his secret dream is to overthrow the Boss. Pets are the best at keeping secrets

Bruno

- Besides Giorno and Fugo, he is probably the main one who recognizes this is a PET and you have to take care of it

- Has yelled at Mista and Narancia on multiple occasions for trying to feed the dragon cake and pizza

- Turns a blind eye to Abbacchio spoiling the thing

- The dragon recognizes Bruno is the leader, but sometimes elects to ignore that fact

- Has a great move with Bruno where Sticky Fingers puts it in a zipper space, opens a zipper somewhere else, and surprises their enemies with a goddamn motherfucking tiny dragon

- The dragon will sometimes curl up on Bruno’s desk while he’s doing work exactly like a cat, will roll on top of the paperwork if it wants attention

Abbacchio

- Abbacchio is absolutely the type of person to be like “I don’t care about that stinky pet” to everyone, but gives it all the treats and belly scratches when no one is looking

- Bruno found the dragon asleep in Abbacchio’s room one night and snuck a picture because it was so cute

- a little salty the dragon loves Giorno so much

- Dragon will protect Abbacchio at all costs. For the treats

Mista

- Tries to teach the dragon dumb shit. Unfortunately for Mista, it is smarter than him.

- However, it loves fighting alongside the Sex Pistols since they’re about the same size. The dragon and the Sex Pistols come up with cool maneuvers to use in battle (idk I’ve decided this dragon has a Stand or can just see Stands idk the fucking turtle had a Stand). Mista is only filled in on about half of them

- However Mista is the one who naps all the time. The dragon will curl up on top of him and nap with him.

Narancia

- “CAN WE KEEP HIM?” with Giorno, but louder and with puppy eyes.

- Has the dragon race Aerosmith. Swears he will win one day. It’s never gonna happen Narancia.

- Narancia is dumb like Mista but the dragon likes him better. Narancia will never let Mista live it down.

- Ropes the dragon into stupid stuff like messing with Fugo or getting snacks that Abbacchio and Mista hid from him on the top shelf.

Fugo

- Hes the one guy in the group that doesn’t really get along with the dragon

- Like he absolutely sees the tactical advantage it gives them! He and the dragon respect one another. They just aren’t pals

- Dragon saved him from getting hurt in a fight once. Fugo still doesn’t understand why it did that

- it was to get a treat from Abbacchio, but Fugo doesn’t need to know that

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? On AO3, I have written for ten fandoms, but if you’re going for total (that I can remember)... eighteen? Maybe?

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? now i’m covered in the colours, what I think is my most popular fic, a soulmate au from the very early days of the foxhole court fandom; the bittersweet between my teeth, another foxhole court au!; throw me that smile, a small fluffy foxhole court fic, also from the very early days of the fandom (hence the kudos? I assume?); and spin him to the ground, aka my tog jn sex pollen fuck or die au, which is a lot of Words put together when you describe it like that; and In All Its Forms, which is a series of short tywin/sansa (you are reading that correctly) fic in different aus that i wrote and posted in 2014, yes it’s weird, yes i regret it, whatever.  

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? I try to respond to comments! But in general I only manage it in the first few days after a fic is posted, because after that I go ages without opening ao3 on laptop where I do the replying, and, well. Then I get overwhelmed [hides]

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? I don’t really like angsty endings? Happy endings all the way!!! I prefer my suffering to be... in the middle, or in the beginning. Just not in the end. But I guess if you think of marriages are made in heaven, which is the first part to a very long fic, and ends on a bad note... maybe that’s the one!

7. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve ever written? The craziest one I’ve ever written would be a Justin Bieber x Doctor Who AU. The craziest one I’ve ever posted, ASOIAF x Doctor Who... lmao

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? A couple of times! I think the worst one was a couple of years ago, when someone decided to leave me a long, dedicated comment about why my fic, which had one a little prize for the posting website’s challenge, sucked, actually.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I do! I don’t know what kind I’d call it...? Uh, smut...like... smut? Kind of improbable smut? Idk, sometimes the fic just vibes that way.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I really hope not lmaooo

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before? I have not! But I’d love to do it someday, which like, hint hint to anyone. @nicolodigenovas you brought it up not me :eyes

hello im Late To The Party lmaooo but i think i've gathered my thoughts enough to form a decent ask 🦥

i honestly feel like the content in the tags is just so ... stagnant. like you go through any x reader tag and it becomes very apparent very quickly that everything is basically just half-assed copy-pasted headcanons that honestly...don't really involve that much thought. and the sad thing is that's what's popular, because its so easily consumable and so easy to mass produce, so ppl see that that type of content gets attention & followers so they start to copy it and it starts a cycle of boring content lmao.

i feel like this was really clear a few months ago where all these blogs under networks started popping up and you genuinely Could Not tell the difference between them...from the same themes to same content to literally the same carrds lmao (on a side note....the fact that so many of them had a "besties" list did not sit right w me lmao.... like it just screamed high school clique and clout chaser to me). like if that's all you're producing i genuinely cannot imagine being proud of your content like that ... and judging by the way so many of the blogs die out within a 2-4 month period . 🥴

and what makes me mad is that whenever we point out these problems and criticize the community all we get in return is "you're just jealous" and "let people read what they want" and a slew of hate anons putting u down to defend their favs. but the thing is, no one is telling them to stop. no one is telling them what they can and can't read—hell, even i end up reading that type of content occasionally because its just, exactly what's on the tin. it's easy. it's consumable.

but what is a problem is that this community settles for mediocrity. they raise the blogs that create this type of content onto a pedastal and act like they're the second coming of shakespeare when literally all they make is "how hq boys hold your hand" and "hq boys as tiktok trends" with no original thought at all.

there's no unique voices, at least not anymore, and i genuinely believe it's because of the burnout that this community has caused for them. writing is a hobby you do for yourself first and foremost, i know that. but there comes a point where when all you do is pour your heart and soul into creating fics and it gets little to no attention at all and that popular blog who made their 12th headcanon list about how hq boys as tiktok trends gets like 1k notes... i don't blame them for leaving :")

i feel ppl are so dismissive of it but it's like so genuinely an issue and you cannot talk about it because people will really just call you bitter and it's like man i LIKE blogging. if i hated i wouldn't be here and me thinking about these things is not me being bitter

it's literally just evaluating the way content is percieved and how that has leaked itself into writing. fic writing is a form of meta analysis. when you focus so much on consumability i feel like you lose such a fundamental aspect of it

like.. character building, and plot and development - all of these incredibly important things get lost when people are too bothered to read anything over a thousand words. and it MATTERS because the core of fandom stuff is analysis and characterization and exploring a world anf these concepts and when you completely lose the space for that it's.. frustrating 2 say the least

and it's like.. i LOVE shitposting. i make fake tweets and shit like that because it's so entertaining but it's weirdly depressing to see how quickly those posts tend to circle around like IDK there's just.

This tag is so cool. I just read a bunch of other cool writers' answers and <3<3 Y'all are so COOL. Don't mind me :) Hehe. Here goes :

Name : Suha. My parents told me that it means star, but no. It comes from an Arabic word that means Forgotten One. A star in the Great Bear constellation is named Suha because its fooking forgotten help XDD

Fandom(s) : One Direction so far, but I'm a total weeb. I'm thinking about making a hybrid fic. Idk. Might expand later haha xx

Where I post : AO3 and Wattpad. As embarrassing as it may seem, I'm new to AO3. Love it better than that stupid orange platform tbh, but I have to admit I have a larger following on WP, and it's quite easier to interact with the readers on there. Meh.

Most popular one-shot : This trashy little thing (about just 1k I think lmao) I wrote called Heat. Everyone liked it better than the ones I actually put work into lmaooo (I cri). Okay but wbk our fandom's a hoe for abo fics so I get it. I get it bc same. Lol.

Most popular multichapter fic : The Blood Hounds :) It's filled with typos even if it says edited bc I'm blind, but it's my baby haha x It's got 161k reads on WP and 14k ish hits on AO3 so I'm pretty proud of it hehehe.

Fic I loved writing the most : The Blood Hounds, actually. I wrote it and posted chapter by chapter on WP so I made a lotta friends and the experience was awesome haha. Very different from AO3.

Fic I was nervous to post : Lovebugs. It's because I made a major writing style change to it, and now I'm procrastinating on ever giving it an update because nothing ever feels right, yknow? Ugh. #sadlifepremieres

How do I choose my titles ? It depends on what gave me the inspiration. Like, if it's a song name or a lyric, a specific word or theme, etc. So it's random lol.

Do I outline ? Somewhat. Like, the storyline will have a vague structure, the characters will have specific features or habits/behaviours, but the scenes that link the whole outline of the story depends on me writing at that moment lol.

Completed fics : 7 ! A chaptered disaster baby, and the others are smut one-shot practices yolo XD

WIP : 33. Don't even ask.

Coming soon : A bunch of things. Like. A bunch of things. I write new wips when I get writers block on another one and soso. So, when I figure out how to round them up, a few things will be coming out I suppose.

Prompts ? Not really ? I don't use them as much. But. The most recent one I'm working on, for the first time, is from a prompt hehe. Prompts are really nice to read, and I especially love seeing prompt posts that have a short story attached to it <3<3

Upcoming work I'm most excited about ? The weird Soulmates/Alien/Foreigner AU I'm working on hdbdbd lmaooo!! Idk how it's going to be received, but I'm having fun writing it. Playing with your writing style and usual genre is really nice.
