gudakos phone buzzes with a twitter DM. 'dont FUCKING tell him or im leaving chaldea' says merlin.
"i dunno man. but the point here is that i want to go to mcdonalds."
"so you came to me??????"
"ya." gudako says flatly. "rayshift us."
romani stares at them for a solid, like, ten seconds. he does the thing where you press your hands together and hold them to your face like youre about to say 'boi.'

"hey," gudako almost falls out of the rayshift portal. "can i get a fucking uhh.." she counts the number of people in the room. "three happy meals and one (1) triple cheeseburger?"
"maam with all due respect what the fuck." the employee is hakunon kishinami actually. after they woke up from cryostasis and rani found them, they were like well humanity has collapsed essentially im going to go to micky ds and get a job.
"you heard her." saber alter says. "triple. cheese. burger."
"alright........" hakunon is actually kind of scared because they recognize salter as someone who looks like nero but evil and thats not ok. they are also is scared of gawain because what the actual fuck they just had to murder his master why is this strange person commanding him now.
about 5 (five) seconds later, the gang has their happy meals. the staff was scared out of their minds because salter threatened to release her noble phantasm on them if they didnt "give me my fucking burger you absolute useless and worthless humans."
"thanks," bedivere who has been (rightfully) silent this entire time says as he recieves his happy meal, complete with a toy.
"this place is a freakshow. i literally respect only you and gawain." gudako replies. salter is busy yelling at the staff because they forgot her pickles. also she might have excalibur morgan'd through a wall. whoops, thinks gudako, i aint paying for that.
"fucking GOD," salter finishes yelling. "i HATE humans." she takes her burger from the poor motherfucker who had to serve it to her and almost (ALMOST) bites directly into the box (shes like a goat, she can eat anything and make it into magical energy) before remembering that cardboard probably tastes like shit.
"wow." gawain has no words for the ~evil~ version of the king of knights who just fucking obliterated an ENTIRE wall of mcdonalds. "can we leave?"
"yea," gudako texts romani: 'yo dude salter just almost killed the staff PLEASE GOD rayshift me back'.
approx. 5 mins later, at 2:10 am, the knights of the round minus a few of them and plus gudako are eating their happy meals in gudakos room. some servants like sleeping in there cause gudako keeps their room super warm. and its cold at chaldea. also saber alter steals their blankets sometimes which isnt very nice.
"so what are we doing tomorrow?" gawain asks, in the middle of munching on like 4 fries at once for maximum fry consumption efficiency.
"dunno. probably playing minecraft."
"ooh my favorite," bedivere says. hes eating his chicken nuggies with his regular arm as to not mess up his silver arm (which makes no sense, why wouldnt he just not get grease on his regular arm??). "i plan to help gawain with farming."
"the best part of minecraft." gawain says.
saber alter is in the corner, silent, eating her triple cheeseburger. "yo you good?" gudako asks. they dont get a reply.
everyone eventually finishes eating. "im super tired." gudako says. "gonna bounce. i might do some ember farming tho, so dont stay up too late."
at approx. 8 am, gudako gets a text from romani that says 'FINISHED PREP TO RAYSHIFT INTO BABYLONIA MEET ME AT 9 AM!!!!!!'
"oh god fucking damn it," gudako says aloud. they literally just woke up.
"huh?" gawain asks. hes been awake probably the entire night. he likes to play minecraft super late.
"babylon." gudako replies. "euuuuruuurrhghjhhjhhjggjj......"

Recipe Remix: Fathead Pizza
If you’re alive in the US of A, you’ve likely heard something or other about the “Keto Diet” in the last 6-12 months. I’ll save the bulk of the science, nutrition, and varying philosophies of eating Keto for another blog post, and keep this to a brief discussion of this easy, awesome recipe.
The Fathead Pizza is an internet phenomenon and well-known #lifehack to those who “eat Keto,” but I feel like everyone should know that you can make an entire personal pizza with only 6 carbs in it...regardless of what diet they follow. Especially when it only takes 25 minutes to make! Of course, I altered the original recipe a bit – and so can you! The recipe below is my modified version, and here is a link to the original recipe, should you be so inclined as to compare them.
Just to get it out of the way: Keto is short for Ketosis, which for the purposes of this post, is really just a re-vamped/re-branded Atkins diet or way to say “low carb.” Keto is like, extremely low carb. The (very) general idea is that your body burns carbs for energy before it burns fat. So, if you limit or reduce the amount of carbs, your metabolism switches to burning fat more quickly. That’s the basic concept.
I personally follow a low-carb diet that I wouldn’t go so far as to call Keto, and I do intermittent fasting along with “cheat days” and working out– my diet is sort of a hodge podge of different techniques that have worked for me. I regularly allow actual pizza on my cheat days, and I was raised on my Sicilian grandma’s homemade pizzas...so I really wasn’t in a hurry to try some weirdo, low-carb, diet pizza dough. Which is why I did not try this recipe for so long.
Well my friends, the regret is mine to bear. This was a very simple to make and filling recipe that was a savory, cheesy treat with zero guilt. However, as a Sicilian-American, I feel the need to caution that this DOES NOT TASTE OR FEEL LIKE REGULAR PIZZA. Don’t think of it as a pizza, think of it as a Fathead. It’s totally its own “thing.” If you go into this recipe expecting to come out with pizza dough that resembles bread, you will be sorely disappointed. But if you accept now that this is not pizza, it’s a delicious pizza substitute called a Fathead, you will be exponentially happier with the result. Have you ever had sauce and mozzarella on a base other than dough? Like putting it on Ritz crackers or matzo or toast? No, just me? Well, think of the Fathead dough as thin, soft, cheesy pita instead of regular dough.
OK, enough lead-up. Here is my recipe, tweaked from the original:
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella
1 Tablespoon Almond Flour
1 Teaspoon Cream Cheese (plain/regular or low-fat) *let it sit out to soften before use
1 Teaspoon Ricotta Cheese (not in original recipe, added by moi)
1 Whole Egg
Salt & Pepper to taste
Sauce + Any other ingredients you want for toppings! (I just used the standard parmesan & romano flavored marinara sauce I buy in the store from a jar for the sauce. If you want to be ambitious and make your own, it will dramatically increase the prep time. Use whatever sauce you normally use and whatever toppings you normally use.)
Materials:
Microwave-safe bowl
Metal fork (not plastic/disposable)
Baking pan/sheet (any flat, oven-safe tray or pan will work)
Parchment paper (NOT wax paper, PARCHMENT)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Get all your ingredients out on the counter and ready to go with your measuring spoons, cups, and materials.
3. Put the 1/2 Cup Mozzarella in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat it in 15-second increments until it is stir-able with the fork.
4. Add in the other two cheeses – cream cheese and ricotta – and stir well with the fork, combining them together. If the cream cheese was left out to soften, this should go pretty smoothly. If it gets hard to stir or the cheese starts to re-solidify, just place back in microwave for short, 5 second intervals until it can be stirred smoothly together. ONCE YOU ADD THE EGG & FLOUR, YOU CAN NO LONGER NUKE IT! This is why you have to get the cheese right before putting the egg in.
5. Once the three cheeses are melted and stirred together, and while the mixture is still a little warm and malleable, mix in the Egg and Almond Flour. Quickly stir together with the fork.
6. Add some salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you want in the dough without going overboard. (I threw in a little garlic powder.) Thoroughly stir and mix together.
At this point, your dough should be a greasy/wet looking glob that looks like this:

7. Now, dump that whole glob of cheese dough onto a sheet of parchment paper! Cover it with a second sheet on top, and just roll that sucker into a circle. (I do not own a rolling pin, I used a metal water bottle. You can use anything cylindrical and smooth - a plastic water bottle that has ridges will screw it up. Remember this dough is not really dough, it’s mostly cheese with a tiny bit of almond flour and some spices, so its going to move around very easily. I rolled it into a general shape that wasn’t a very good circle at first, but then just used my fingers on the edges to round and even it out.) Here is how this step looks:

8. Peel the top piece of parchment paper off and put the bottom one directly onto your baking pan/sheet. Put in the oven for 7-10 minutes. Keep an eye on it and don’t exceed 10 mins on the first heating. (There’s a second one in store!) It should still feel pretty soft, but be solid enough to put sauce and toppings onto. Like this:

9. Put on your sauce, toppings, and extra shredded cheese. If you want to keep this at ~500 cal, don’t go too nuts with the cheese on top. Remember, the base is already made of cheese. But of course it IS supposed to resemble a PIZZA, so just use a reasonable amount on top. I like to put my toppings on the sauce first, then the extra cheese on top. I personally used sliced veggie-hotdogs as pepperoni substitute, along with sautéed mushrooms, onion, and garlic. I cooked them all in a pan on the stove while the base was doing its first round in the oven. See:

10. Put that mofo back in the oven for another 7-10 minutes, monitoring and taking out when it smells crispy and the edges of the “dough” are golden-brown. Add parmesan and seasonings to taste.
If you used PARCHMENT paper and not wax paper, it will be completely non-stick. You should be able to just slide the Fathead from the parchment paper onto a plate pretty easily using a spatula to assist. If you used wax paper even though I explicitly told you not to, you already know you F-ed up because your kitchen smells like burnt candles and is filled with smoke. (I’ve learned from experience.)
Finished Product:

Enjoy this entire Fathead all to yourself! At just over 500 cals for the entire serving, you can GO FOR GOLD. For not being real pizza, this Fathead will satisfy any savory cravings. Plus, it takes much less time than actual dough!

June Small Wins
1 - ecmocard meeting with ppl from aussie to learn to sort out data. Felt better after the meeting cause i didnt feel like doing anything before. Got two season deli box cake from dapur cokelat for nessa. Videocalled w her and ren.
2 - dr eva chatted and gave things to do. I also need to make intern log for dr retha. I just cant bring myself to start. Finally mustered the courage. Im not the type of person for wfh. At least in this house. Finished reading love or hate. I rly felt like shit at night.
3 - started reading positively yours. Had no will to do anything
4 - some more sending spss work for dr eva. weekdays with no “outside work” rly render me useless in functioning. a vegetable
5 - iluni webinar. Lost my attention during electrolyte and fluid stuff. tried to cook ribeye steak lmao (meat from @/fridaymeatshop). Its too chewy and leathery. But its not too welldone. And at least it tastes good. Went to depok by krl. its quite quick since krl arrived just after im at poris and duri. went ahead of silvi devi. satpam on the lobby wont open the access hhhh (i dont have one. i dunno why. mom said she cant find it although we supposedly have 2). but my mood improved once im upstairs. we prepped a bit of deco. conversed in the dark so not to make racheel suspicious. surprisee. had truffle belly chicken cheese for dinner. the cheese was not to cheesy, its more of a gentle taste. mushroom tastes better. we watched sweet and sour from my mobile data. surprisingly, its not that much of data. slept at like 12-1ish
6 - the electric token went out in the morning. we went for a walk in ui. the PLK man across of st ui forbade us from going in. ugh. but it was rly empty. so we went from barel. its empty on the library. there was a dog that walked along with us. talked a bit in front of the lake. went back. i got 2 moon chicken (the basic flavor and not the wings) and spicy jumeokbap. the jumeokbap was nothing like what i had in korea. like the seaweed’s taste doesnt come out that much, and its not that flavorful/savory. the one in korea its good even by itself. went back to jkt nebeng reza silvi with devi. originally planned to go to flavola, but my head kinda hurts, so i finished my moon chicken at the mushola and asked juan to pick me up. still feel healthy and normal after going and staying out, so i started reading a book abt handwriting analysis lmaoo. fell asleep. tried several attempts to figure out my bpjs number and turns out the best there is to respond is BPJS’ twitter. the problem was solved under 5 mins.
7 - woke up, fell asleep again. Adita told me that i might be interviewed today for the ipd intern but theres no info. Did the registration stuff for my bpjs. Registered for npwp. Watched bts x na pd
8 - off to RSF. its audit day today. hiks to phonecall follow up work. i did not do anything inaco related, i just sat there and did dr dafsah’s excel. dr vera bought me pecel ayam hehe yay. went to como park to meet up with indah regen. tried ricotta pizza from pizza place (33k). the cheese is cheese but not that typical cheesy (?) coupled with mushroom. i had to add sauce to withstand the last bites (still kinda full). tried other’s as well, pesto and mushroom. pesto had the most taste. while waiting for doggo to arrive, we bought gelato (S: 35k). apparently their special flavor was ricotta lmao. tried green tea (bitter, which i like) and peanut butter + caramel, which makes you feel thirsty. watched the doggos from the sidelines. after maghrib we went to 1/15. ordered ice mocha (50k). the chocolate taste stood out more. not gonna order again lol. the staff initially recommended pandan flavor. took grab to gbk station to go home.
9 - rsf. second audit day. i hate it here lmao. im not even paid for my time here. excused myself to eat. turns out mbak Ai bought hokben. i almost forgot thanking her since i felt hungry with a bit of headache. talked a bit with dr retha regarding changes of assistant (since internship is soon). went back and immediately laid down in bed. mom bought pizza so thats what i ate for dinner. fell asleep (i can feel it. my face will get consequences)
10 - cant bring myself to do anything. i reread painter of the night lmao. seungho is a prick. inhun is also a prick (a greedy one). ate arirang bone marrow. put the egg-seasoning mixture to the pan since im not confident enough to just pour boiling water into the bowl. felt surprisingly full. went to sbux. green tea latte as usual. but turns out tumblr 50% promo only applies to sbux member. so i had to pay 40k for my green tea latte. at least i got to feel good from outside vibes. did some follow up for INACO patients.
11 - went to rm rsf. Took lots of photos of RM. I was given rujak by the rm staff lmaoo so cute. Didnt do any entry afterwards lmao i just laid down
12 - breakfast is paldo jjajangmen and egg. It tasted like soy. Its good but not in a micin way. Its quite fulfilling. Had some of the beef slices by putting it in a buttered pan (is it pan fried? Grilled? Idk). Had banana and brownies together (makes it rly good). Did a bit of clires work. I drank sbux's caramel macchiato but yall my stomach cant handle it lmao. It hurts so much that i even got a headache. So i just laid down in bed
13 - had arirang again loll. Inserted the egg to the pan still, but quicker this time. Its too salty today. Maybe its not enough water. I was eating it while googling how to remove excess sodium. Ate the rest of beef slices (shared with bros ofc) and mixed some with moms fried rice. Ate banana brownies again. Felt soooo full. Did some clires work accompanied by sbux matcha
14 - i felt like shit this morning. Watched leahs vid. Listened to her podcast while having bfast. I walked from moms car to bougenville while still feeling like shit. It slowly gets better afterwards, thankfully. Did some clires and follow up. Went to gandy steak in dr retha's car (which had anesthesiology textbook inside). Tried aus sirloin steak. The bread tasted ok. The garlic bread also ok. The mashed potato was so so (the one in depok was more creamy and smooth). The steak was good, especially the fat part, the sauce so so. Honestly that depok steak had more value for money compared to this, i think. Nebeng dr rara and husband to busway station. Arrived in ar and i immediately showered, such wow 👏👏
15 - today is no rsf day aka self made wfh day. Moms getting vaccinated today. I just lazed. And read kanej fics
16 - off to rsf. Took care of rm stuff. Tried social affair's croffle since i was so curious (60k [10k tip]). The nutella and cinnamon sugar one. Its crunchy and a bit crumbly inside, but not as fragile as croissant. Its quite fulfilling too. But its basically flour batter variations. (thats what mom would say). randomly chatted racheel and we ended up taking a walk and a bit of jog citra 6 (with my sneakon regular shoes). My left tendon was screaming lol. Picked up by juan who surprisingly effortlessly found the address at night.
17 - mbak aan chatted me today to go to rscm. Met prof murdani at pesc and he gave me ppt assigment for 13:30 THAT DAY. Finished it unsatisfyingly (i wish i couldve done more). Lunch was free bebek bkb yay thankyou Prof c: (he even asked what did i ate) took care of legalisir stuff. Went home by tj. Drank matcha w vsoy and i somehow was not sleepy after maghrib. I also changed my desj layout. Maybe it kinda works to separate my spaces
18 - arrived at rscm at 8-ish. sent updated thibbun nabawi ppt. literature search. and then somehow its 14:30. went to SCI w ara wani rasyid. tried bandeng nyonya, oyster, salmon, cumi lada garam (its crazy good among all the good tasting food wtff), shrimp and pocai telor (veggie stuff). dessert was thailand cassava. spent about 190k. went back by TJ. had wudu at pulomas and prayed ashar on the bus lol. i passed out after playing w my phone lmaoo
19 - spent almost the whole day just sleeping and eating. finally showered in the afternoon. had matcha vsoy latte after maghrib and with enough day sleeping, i did presentation outline. at like 1/2 am i initially planned to sleep but my eyes still have plenty of watts. so i read hold me tight. slept at like 4/5 am
20 - woke up at 9. off to om dokter’s house to ask for healthy letter. we talked almost the entire time im there lol. before u know it mom and dad’s done talking with grandma. om dokter shared some of his experiences in the past. and he said something about making your choice and living with it, and it will all have a meaning even if you might initially agonize about it. girl i was holding back tears. here he was talking about choices, something i never rly talk about at my house. im getting teary just typing this. he talked about it in a way that sounds simple, even though i agonized abt internship choices and sometimes avoid thinking about it. it rly rly was a new experience. i dont rly talk about “choices” with my parents. so hearing how to go through options in life from a person i can relate to regarding this med stuff is. i feel like i would have loved it if i can hear his wisdom earlier. i dont talk with him much if my parents are around bcs they will just meddle and say stuff that wreck my peace. they dont rly know what im going through but can be very opinionated. this peaceful one on one talk rly made me feel relieved and reassured. and i was today years old when i found out he initially wanted to be a psychiatrist. he would have been a great psychiatrist. i feel like we have some understanding thats left unsaid. like he knows how my parents are like. he would probably understand why i dont talk with him much at AR. after what feels super quick, we went back to AR. registered for STR. searched some literature for the topics that Prof is the moderator of. powered by matcha energy
21 - rscm as usual. the Prof did not come. lunch was bread i brought from home. waited for mom to pick me up at kfc so i bought pukis kfc. its like properly made pukis and not the street seller made ones. the chocolate one was good since the toppings generous. felt a bit feverish? like my body felt warm. fell asleep and then suddenly its 6 am in the morning.
22 - Prof still did not came. had amart’s ayam penyet jamur for lunch. turns out juan bought ayam geprek gendut for dinner. night time is diarrhea time lmaooooo. did not feel sleepy at AR but i skipped shower again lmao,,,,,,,, and then suddenly its morning again
23 - jajan from sisterfield today. tried their carrot cake and kopi susu gula aren. the carrot cake has that carrot texture. its different. the icing was fresh cream cheese that made the cake taste good. the coffee made my stomach ache a bit. it has that subtle chocolatey taste. fell asleep again. third time’s the charm (of 1x/day face wash). woke up at 3 am planning to sleep but i ended up washing my face. turns out atikah was still awake due to AZ fever.
24 - this is the bestest sleep i had in this week (?) had a dream about going to bandung and the car falling to water. forgot my headset today. can finally meet prof Mur. talked abt inaco stuff w agassi. reread komugi meruem lmaoo. felll asleep. somehow had the misfortune of hearing dad’s hurtful words to mom. i want to fall asleep again but its difficuly. i went through stages of pent up anger, some sort of selfishness (i will go out from jakarta for internship), amazement to mom, and... 25 - lunch was dori rice from kanprim thanks to rasyid’s jastip. watched bts’ butter norebang lolll :(((. arrived at AR the fastest ive been. mom came to me right before maghrib and summed some stuff dad said yesterday. she handled it in a trivial way. like she was unaffected. and that somehow helped me too. stuck around in the dining room for a while after maghrib. talked about internship w mom. i left some chance for dad to yap yap abt whatever related to internship (thankfully songs were full volume through my wireless headset) while im inhaling through my matcha latte. i wont write what he said bcs its lowkey super embarrassing. thank the gods for wireless speakers.

27 - lazed. Wanted to start my day early but couldnt bring myself to. Binge watched twoset videos. Did clires stuff. 1 more RM to wait from IRMIK. No gastro intern work this weekend aaaa im starting to panic.
28 - juan came along otw to rscm. Talked about iship otw. brought tons of stuff to eat, including matcha latte, but i was unable to finish it lol. Discussed research budgeting w Prof. Didnt do anything in home. Starting to panic with my ppt progress.
29 - discussed budgeting revision. Prof thought abt little details i didnt even consider. Didnt do anything while at ar anjengggg
30 - prof did not come to dept today. Listemed to agassi rambling abt intern stuff. Immediately opened my laptop in ar. Watched two set. Played marapets lmaooo i finally managed to gather 3 au for shop pricer. But still didnot wash my face 👁️👄🤦♀️ maybe bcs i hate doing what people tells me to do (re: shower due to covid scare). Had a nightmare abt being in a car ride alone w dad and it was rly rly awkward

Snickerdoodle Bars Are Your Favorite Classic Cookie In A Chewy Bar!
OK, these bars…you guys…they’re absolutely delicious. They’re basically a Snickerdoodle when you don’t feel like baking multiple batches of cookies! So basically a lazy snickerdoodle!
Instead of scooping cookie dough, rolling it in the cinnamon sugar and baking them in batches you can do it all in one 9×13 pan, cutting your active prep time in half! I haven’t cured cancer over here, but I feel like I’m solving problems and being useful…at least in the world of cookie baking. Trying to do my part.
Do These Bars Taste Different Than A Snickerdoodle Cookie?
Kind of but not really…here’s the deal…they’re bars not cookies. So you have a thick, uniform, rectangular shaped cookie that has been cut into pieces…so no crispy edges and soft centers. I mean the juxtaposition in textures is basically what gives a cookie its magic, I get it.
But with Snickerdoodle Bars you have a thick, chewy bar that is soft and melty with a slight crunch on top, thanks to the cinnamon sugar. Of course, you do have the edge pieces in the pan, so if you are after that chewy, crunchy edge, you’re still all set! Heck, you could even use THIS pan.
Why Don’t These Bars Have Cream of Tartar?
Since these bars have 2 teaspoons of baking powder in them you don’t need the cream of tartar. But I’ve been told by a lot of the Snickerdoodle police here on the internet if the recipe doesn’t contain cream of tartar they can’t actually be called Snickerdoodles. I don’t buy into that logic, but I’m just telling you what people like to say…
FYI baking powder is sodium bicarbonate + acid. which is the same as a combo of baking soda and cream of tartar.
So to appease the Snickerdoodle traditionalists I’m here to let you know you CAN add 1 teaspoon of cream of tartar + 1 teaspoon of baking soda instead of the baking powder. Results will be the same, though. I promise.
Can I Freeze These Snickerdoodle Bars?
Absolutely. These cookie bars freeze beautifully! Here’s how:
Cut them and let them cool completely.
Stack them in a large airtight container, separating the layers with a piece of parchment paper.
Freeze for up to a month.
Allow the bars to thaw at room temperature.

Your favorite classic cookie turned into a bar! Chewy, buttery, and topped with cinnamon sugar!
Ingredients:
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup butter, room temperature
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F°. Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment paper and coat with nonstick spray, set aside.
In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment mix together the butter and sugar for 2 minutes on medium speed. Add in the eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and salt and mix for 1 minute until combined and smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
Turn the mixer to low and add in the flour, mixing until just combined.
Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
In small bowl combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this evenly on top of the batter.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool slightly. While still warm, cut into bars with a sharp knife.
Notes:
Store airtight at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Freeze in an airtight container for up to a month.

Vegetable Paella Recipe Prep Time 15 mins Cook Time 40 mins Total Time 55 mins With its distinctive golden color, smoky flavor, and caramelized crust, this Vegetable Paella will bring everyone together for this mouth-watering meal. Servings: 4 Calories: 447 kcal Ingredients: 3 tablespoons olive oil , divided 4 cups vegetable broth 1 teaspoon saffron threads 1 medium onion , diced 1 red bell pepper , cut into long strips (1/2" wide) 5 cloves garlic , chopped 1 large tomato , diced (sub 1/2 cup canned) 1 1/2 cups Bomba Rice (sub arborio rice) 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika 1 teaspoon sea salt , more to taste Fresh cracked pepper , to taste 2 sprigs fresh thyme (sub 1 teaspoon dried) 3/4 cup frozen peas , thawed 1 14 oz jar artichoke hearts , quartered Garnish Lemon wedges Fresh-cut parsley Instructions: Add vegetable broth in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Break up the saffron and add it to the broth. When it begins to simmer, give it 1 minute, and then lower the heat just to keep it warm. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a 12-inch Paella Pan (or something similarly sized) over medium heat. Once heated, add a generous pinch of salt and the onions. Sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Now add the bell pepper strips and sauté until somewhat softened. About 5-6 minutes. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Watch carefully to prevent the garlic from burning. Now add the tomatoes (with juices), smoked & sweet paprika, salt & pepper (add the thyme here too, if not using fresh). Sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add the rice and remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan. Stir to coat well. Cook for 2-3 minutes to lightly toast the rice and incorporate flavors. Move around occasionally to prevent sticking. Add the fresh thyme and slowly pour in only 3 3/4 cups broth to the pan and keep remaining 1/4 cup warm (you might not need it). Gently stir to combine. Do not stir after this point (it will release starches and cause creamier rice). Turn the heat to medium-high and bring the broth to a heavy simmer for 1-2 minutes. Now turn the heat down (between medium-low and medium heat) to a mild simmer. You want to see movement in the pan while the broth is cooking down (don't boil though). Simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is al dente. If the broth seems to be cooking down too fast, slowly add the remaining 1/4 cup of reserved broth. Rotate the pan on the burner 1-2 times during cooking for even heat distribution. Once the broth is nearly cooked off, you will need to pay close attention to the socarrat forming on the bottom of the pan (the golden rice crust). You will start to hear a snap, crackle, and pop, along with smelling a nutty aroma. This should take 2-3 minutes to form. (If it smells like it's burning, remove from heat immediately) Stick a fork or spoon straight to the bottom to test if it's forming. (*see note). Remove the pan from the heat. Add the peas and artichoke to the top of the rice (don't mix in). Cover the pan with foil and let the paella rest for 5-10 minutes. Top with fresh-cut parsley, cracked pepper and side with lemon wedges to serve. Sprinkle top with salt if needed. Enjoy! Recipe Notes: * Sometimes you might not get the socarrat to form and that's ok. It all depends on the pan, fat content, heat source and experience. The more you cook paella, the better you'll get at reading the signs. I've had times where I left it too long and it burned. That is never fun, so it's better to have no socarrat than burnt socarrat. Your paella will still be delicious without it. *Saffron gives the paella its distinct flavor which is somewhat earthy and floral. It's very subtle but really finishes the dish. It also turns the rice to a beautiful golden color. It's a little costly, so if it's not in your budget you can replace it with turmeric. It will have a different flavor, but will still be subtle and make the rice golden. If you don't have a paella pan, I would recommend a large stainless steel pan (don't use non-stick).

Melt in your Mouth Skillet Lasagna
Today we have another one pot meal for you, cast iron skillet lasagna. Just like the Thai basil chicken this recipe is truly a one pot meal. No need to transfer anything out of the skillet, once it is in the skillet it stays in the skillets. At least until you are ready to gobble it up, and you are going to want to devour this lasagna.
Flavor is always the most important thing when I am cooking. This lasagna recipe will not let you down in that department. I used crushed tomatoes for the sauce, and it makes a huge difference. To me meat sauce made with crushed tomatoes is the next best thing to homemade sauce from fresh tomatoes. Once you taste this sauce and see how easy it is to make you will never buy a jar of spaghetti sauce again.
Everything in this lasagna was made in a large cast iron skillet. I made the sauce first, then layered the noodles. I pushed the noodles under the sauce using a spoon, trying to get as much sauce on top as possible. The noodles will break a little as you push them under the sauce. A little breakage is ok. The lasagna holds its form well.
You could easily make it in any size oven safe skillet, just cut the ingredients in half accordingly. I’ve also made this lasagna on the stove. It was a little more difficult, and I had to keep an eye on it constantly. Since I am a fan of passive time when cooking, I started cooking it in the oven. It turned out better, and I could do other things while waiting for dinner to be done.
Since I just have to pop the lasagna in the oven, it really only took about 10 minutes of active time. This is fantastic because you now have time to help with homework, clean up, or just relax.
Another thing I love about this lasagna is the big dollops of ricotta cheese on top. The ricotta cheese makes a beautiful contrast in the red sauce. Plus, there is no need to use a ton of mozzarella and parmesan cheese to cover the top. I love cheese, but I am also a fan of making food healthier. So in this case, less is more. However, the sauce has such great flavor that you won’t even notice the missing cheese.

6) Layer oven ready noodles over meat sauce. Break noodles as needed until top is covered. Use you spoon or spatula to push noodles down into the sauce. It is okay if they break a little. Repeat until you have 3 layers of noodles. Top layer will be lightly covered with sauce.
7) Dollop ricotta cheese on top of lasagna and spread out a little with the back of a spoon.
8) Sprinkle Italian blend cheese over lasagna.
9) Cover with aluminum foil. Place in oven and cook for 40 minutes. Remove foil for last 10 minutes of cooking to toast cheese.
10) Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

7) Dollop ricotta cheese on top of lasagna and spread out a little with the back of a spoon.
8) Sprinkle Italian blend cheese over lasagna.
9) Cover with aluminum foil. Place in oven and cook for 40 minutes. Remove foil for last 10 minutes of cooking to toast cheese.
10) Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Small August Wins
1 - DL, did my part for PKP, read a bit about leprosy reaction (PKP related), watched a cute movie tune in for love, ara stayed over at my home, edited 1 pld article
2 - exercised a bit, edited 3 pld articles, DL, finished ppt tinpus PKP, walked to the nearby lake with ara, ate nasgor smoked chicken (been a while!) and jco donuts and my tummy is happy, felt afraid with DV exam huft. I hope I can prepare myself properly
3 - DL, edited 1 article, went to school together w ara, deep fried by dr adhi for my minicex (but i am grateful for the opportunity), emir took a while to pick me up (he left home 1530 and arrived 1715) so i did some status work, arrived at home super hungry but moms food is delicious and wow glucose is finally in (after previously supported by nasi uduk and 1 jco donut) and the pain from today sort of fades away.
4 - DL, tried to study as much as i could (the panic is real), went to kencana to get dr adhis signature at 12 but he replied my chat at about 1330 ���� , finished self reflection, group called with my group for exam prep
5 - did not DL bcs i fell asleep!! Thank god for streak freeze, met up with dr adhi in poli regarding minicex bcs turns out he brought my status etc, hes very kind 🥺 dr yudo kindly took his time to answer questions via wa voicenote even though he had a tiring day 🥺 bless all the kind people in this world
6 - DL, alhamdulillah passed the exam with dr sondang and dr larissa even though i was being a dumb ass student (thankfully theyre patient enough). Honestly panicked during the morning, i was super afraid. Searched some drug dosage for renata. I hope she passes the remed!!
7 - slept and lazed all day :( edited 1 article, dv closing. Managed to say thanks to dr yudo even though i was lowkey near tears bcs i cant for the life of me say something even mildy emotional, DL at like 15 mins before midnight
8 - finally at lvl 3 DL by cheating with my notes lmaoo, ate burgers and half pizza by dcheese pizza but had mencret2 the next day lmaooo, watched bosscha virtual sky sightseeing
9 - DL, watched Summer Vacation, edited 2 articles, put some sheet mask on (the numbers surely diminished since my cousin took some 🙂 ), pretty much watched youtube all day. At night i dreamed going to a villa that kinda looks like matamori, and the villa near it was also booked by other groups of friend, and i was recording snow falling from the sky and snow on the cliffs, but there was also a snake under the bed, and writing patients resume -_-(?)
10 - DL, read pem psikiatri cbt batch 1 optima, 25 CBT PADI, a fruitful 2,5 hr discussion with dr Heriani, SpKJ
11 - DL, poli with mendel hari and dr Khamelia, SpKJ, mustered some courage to do the ppt, phoned the patient to ask a little bit more, fell asleep and thank god i’ve prayed isya
12 - DL, lazied and played get rich, felt sick and was sick, nose congested, head starting to hurt, i dont know what is it that triggered my emotions but when my dad asked "tiff kok bersin2?" i felt like i have no privacy and they were too intruding and i wept silently in my room (bcs ppl outside can hear) and yall my nose just goes 100% blocked. aint accepting air today. Massaged my face around the sinus area until i can somehow breathe nicely and fall asleep. (took about half and hour of snot cleaning, drinking and mulling around)
13 - since i felt bad abt lazying i started my day early. Woke up at 5. Put on tretinoin, 15 CBT PADI, DL, naskah psikiatri WIP (Work in progress). It rained today. The sky was grey half of the day, which I LOVE. I felt better and more cheery, especially at abt 4-5 pm when it was raining hard and im snuggled in bed. The laptop stand arrived and bitch it was fucking amazing. My back and neck muscles felt less awkward and/or sore working at my ergonomically-awful table and chair combo turned ok thanks to laptop stand!!
14 - DL, poli with dr cika, crashed aras place (drank thai tea, ate flip burger and sausages), it felt refreshing to be in a different place rather than seeing my room all day everyday. Afterwards ara indah and i ate po noodle bar, the taste was kind of herbal (not brothy) in a good way. Tried some sort of gyoza, it was good too. Juan got accepted at USU civic engineering. Went to atikahs place, passed a red light and i got ppl a bit annoyed lmao sorry :(((, talked with atikah until 1-2ish pm
15 - richeese and fried rice for brunch time, went back home (felt socially refreshed!) to see 2 bottles of sbux coffee i ordered, claras nastar and vit d supplement from tokped. Did RPS and ikhtisar for naskah. DL. Sbux' coffee still upsets my stomach lmao but it did keep me awake and focused enough til 11 pm
16 - DL, after staying over at friends place i feel.suer content to be just at home. Ate while watching erna limdaughs vids, sleeeept
17 - DL, naskah WIP, whipped myself to go do naskah by drinking caramel macchiato and playing coffee - bts. It tasted better when i hear jks soothing voice
18 - DL, finally panicked a bit and did ppt, read a bit abt bipolar, chugged hazelnut dolce latte and somehow its not bitter anymore it actually tasted good. Talked w mendel and hari a bit abt the patient
19 - the dr actually showed up to zoom while i was opening other screen and i didnt realize (ultra embarrassing!!!) basically my diagnosis for axis I and II were wrong. She was kindly explaining and i was more dissapointed with myself but at least its all over? Talked w hansel a bit. Revised a bit of naskah. Submitted hardcopy of naskah and refleksi to mbak Asma. Went to ara. DL, ate gwen's dimsum (quite good and fulfilling). Planned to go to kashiwa but we ended up getting bakmi akiaw. Went back "home" to DM, took only 35 mins.
20 - DL, slept half of the day since im on my period (what even is daily structure), woke up in the evening, decided to start “the folk of the air” series. Binged the first book in one go, from 8 pm to 1 am lmaoo
21 - DL, finished the series at night. it’s nice but not as good as six of crows duology. bts comeback with dynamite!! :) i love them. its scary to think they are still progressing and going up and getting better stats. When will it all stop?
22 - discussion with dr natalia spKJ at 7.30 am, DL, drank matcha latte at starbucks airport hub (been a while! It doesnt taste quite good as i remembered) while backing up HD data at drive and some padi CBT (finished TO 3. After all this time, only to 3?!), felt a bit better after i went out, read a falling cohabitation again
23 - DL, danced to baepsae, slept in the afternoon (my body is too weak nowadays)
24 - DL, psychiatry closing, 1 pamela reif vid, 2P (CBT PADI)
25 - DL, made latar belakang for propeks nemo
26 - DL, 4P, rapat nemo
27 - DL, met up with atikah pupuy @ toska, tried yogurt and fruit, mac and cheese, vegan mentai rice and had dinner @ bakmi gm. mom somehow told (and allowed) me to go back home (it was 9 am and i was abt to stay over at atikah’s)
28 - DL, i dont feel like doing anything helppp, i know there’s stuff that im supposed to do but i cant bring myself to do it. a week will pass by, a month, and before you know it exam will arrive
29 - DL, ordered burgushi, i literally have no strength to go at static bike (can only do for a couple of mins), didnt rly do anything else bcs im in a slump nowadays
30 - its scary that the month is almost over again. my life just goes away like that but i still dont feel like doing anything, DL, tried to follow some dances on youtube to move my body

1 - atikah and racheel came over, oa webinar (rheumatology), duolingo (DL)
2 - they ended up sleeping over, DL, "attended" pak Kus' webinar just becausee hes my skripsi advisor
3 - a page of padi cbt, idai webinar (respiratory disease in covid era), DL
4 - ran 3 laps in my house complex (afterwards my heart was pounding against my chest), hopecardis webinar (arrythmia), DL
5 - 1 ma article (moluskum kontagiosum), perkani webinar (congenital heart disease), DL
6 - DL, idai webinar (pregnancy and newborn stuff in covid era), put sheet mask on lol i neglect my face a lot lately
7 - accompanied juan with mom to perbanas institute for sbmptn, while waiting we went to lucky cat and imeri to get apd, picked up juan, went to social pot (kokas) afterwards, DL. Lucky cat was empty, the vibes of a cafe felt new to me (it surely has been a while). I felt super refreshed. Did some writing for ma article there. Tried salmon and black olive spaghetti, caesar salad, mom drank piccolo. The spaghetti kinda tasted like mi telor but with salmon lol. Talked and laughed plenty with mom :) i rarely talk with her nowadays. Im glad the awkwardness melted away
8 - videocalled with apa salahku for gaby's birthday, zoom for school prep (covid safety stuff), a bit of cbt padi, DL
9 - negative rapid test alhamdulillah, fk digital (kejang anak), cbt padi, DL
10 - some exercise, talked with shiko on zoom, DL, aand since i started padi CBT i finished 2 tryouts (150 questions). It’s not a lot but Im proud of myself :)
11 - went to tj duren with ara, but while we wait the n95 seller we went to citraland, tried fried salmon roll at shigeru, ended up meeting the guy at cl, afterwards we got pisang goreng madu bu nanik, went to rodalink pesanggrahan, ended up getting seirockya at puri, and then i dropped ara off at tj duren. Theeen i went to devis place to hang out and sleepover. Lots of foods. Delicious "lava cake" made from instant brownie mix. Played werewolf. In the morning i managed to finish the pre and post tests in OCI Covid. Happy tummy and laughter :) i hope i can be more productive after this
12 - DL (thank god i freezed streak for weekend because i completely forgout about it yesterday), during sleepover @ devi’s we watched love for sale, a copy of my mind, and love for sale 2. The frustration is real bruh we rly wanted to know more about Arini. Did UKDMA (2 attempts, score: 24, 58), wrote 1 MA article, sorted my downloads folder a bit. After ‘wasting’ (happy times is never a wasted time but still, there’s stuff to do) my time yesterday i felt more urge to do something useful
13 - actually started my day with DL and padi cbt wow (brain still fresh from sleep), CBD about BPPV with dr Widayat. Since ive experienced one before i asked and asked and asked lmaooo. Packed up some of the stuff for tomorrow, hoping to not forget things. Read the journal for litrev before bed
14 - DL, first day of school after a while -- turns out weight distribution is key to avoid sore butt LOL. You kinda have to also support your body weight on your feet. Theres no sore butt at all during my 50 mins trip (amazing feat if you ask me). Went to poli rhinologi (DPJP: dr niken) she kindly gave me a patient to examine, and casually told me to put anterior tampon. I, who have never attempted it, was holding back my fear of trying something new lol. Alhamdulillah, i can somehow do it (even though one tampon fell, tiffany paboooo). The ppds kindly explained stuff to me and i feel like i shamelessly ask nowadays. Like it would be a waste not to ask something. Next was CBD @ Ara’s, we ate Ayam Bakar Mas Walid. Liqo with kak Kartika.
15 - DL, did litrev in the morning bcs i fell asleep lmaoo, tweaked tumblr a bit (i like low contrast the most), fell asleep while watching larynx anatomy video until 1:30 pm yalll i missed half of cbd. Tried to read stuff for poli larfar tomorrow.
16 - DL, ppds i met today lives in poris and worked at puskesmas kalideres lmaoo. Had a bit of headache and gassy stomach that felt better after sleeping and eating. thank god i was picked up by mom and theres food and stuff. i guess the difference of being at home and kosan is that you kinda remember more who youre fighting for. my mind felt healthy-ish lately, of some sort. but the headache made me sluggish
17 - DL, nevermind about the healthy mind part lmaoo
18 - DL, physical activity, padi cbt (after 200 questions i was today years old when i realized there were answer keys on telegram 👁️👄👁️), read optima tht batch 1 2020. Watched khs playing chess blindfolded against try guys and then i was purely amazed by what the human brain can do. It somehow motivated me to study lol
19 - DL, finished optima pem tht batch 1 2020, made 1 cbd ppt, webinar "holistic skin rejuvenation", free mindset tryout
20 - DL, haven’t got minicex but at least im trying to stay hopeful!1!, read the notes from today’s cbd since i basically only heard the whole thing on my motorbike like a podcast, did nasal irrigation n took a slow release vit c
21 - started the day with some stretches and squats, trying to drink more water!!, listened to kak dela's tips for ukmmpd from mindset, DL, read a bit abt epistaxis, the clear wallet i ordered from china finally arrived, edited 1 buku pld article
22 - was in poli onko this morning w ara, a patients consciousness was decreasing so code blue was activated. Finished poli at 1 am. It's been awhile since I last saw emergency situations. Went to maison weiner, ate almond croissant there and bought chocolate sourdough and chicken pie. Despite not getting minicex, the road home was not hot, the sun hidden away. The wind is breezing, podcast is on, talking about mindfulness. Todays quite a good day. Im healthy, insyaAllah. I hope my family will also stay healthy. Woke up at 11ish pm, DL, made my ppt for lcbe exam ((tomorrow)) til 1 am
23 - DL, lcbe exam with dr arie (turns out he picked epistaxis over sinonasal tumour), met up with racheel devi silvi at mcd and jco. Hojicha oreo mcflurry tasted good. Got lost on the way to racheels house lmaoo. She flies to malang tomorrow. Can i wish for life to stay simple and happy forever?
24 - DL, originally meant to be a minicex session turned out to be story time by dr Ezzy, she told us about cases that she managed, one of them is putting on tracheostomy for a baby with Moebius syndrome that went viral on twitter. We didnt even present our case and she only asked us for the scoring form. Thank you doc our lifesaver :”” after trying so hard for minicex the last 2 days turns out maybe its fated so we can meet and be inspired dr Ezzy. Mom picked me and we went to Maison Weiner before going home. Passed out from 6pm until the morning lmao
25 - a bit of exercise, DL, tried kemonyu.id mentai from duta garden, i’ve had better mentai than it but at least its on promo. it uses butter rice so that’s something new to me. rapat nemo to decide dates
26 - DL, liqo with kak Kartika about things you can do in Dzulhijjah, A2, started reading optima pem dv batch 1 2020
27 - DL, round was cancelled bcs no patient, lazed around and slept and lazed, continued reading pem dv optima, did like a half of 1 pamela reif video and my HR soared in 2 mins lmaoo
28 - DL, finally mustered the will to finish DS etika profesi, finished reading optima pem dv batch 1 2020, 2A, did 1 pamela reif video (titled 10 mins calorie burn that wont kill u), read a bit of my dv notes
29 - DL, ppds at poli were so kind!, ate shabu2 by mom and basically fell asleep

31 - watched annabelle comes home and suicide squad with keisha karin juan, DL, relatives came to our place, ara also came for a sleepover and after i picked her up we went to dajens place lmaoo they set up bbq
