He doesn’t really trust you at first so it isn’t a great start

Just cuz ur a slytherin tho

Probably end up as partners in potions cause Snape lowkey hates everyone except for Draco

Ron is kinda standoffish at first

Then you crack a joke to lessen the tension

He inevitably laughs at it to the point of tears

You both end up in detention from the outburst

Snape definitely pulls the I thought you were better than this shit

To which you respond with a poorly timed joke

And that’s when Ron realizes he might like you more than he thought

He starts seeing you around more often

But he is very nervous around you

Tries to impress you

The two of you become friends and hang out a bunch

You make him go on random “adventures” with you

He always complains that you’re gonna get in trouble but secretly loves the time alone with you

He loves to listen to you talk about your interests 

He thinks you make the muggle world sound amazing 

You often find yourself in the library with him trying to finish homework at the last minute

You both struggle to stay on task because your too busy laughing

Definitely get yelled at to be quiet more than you can imagine

Some days you even get kicked out for being too loud

It’s one of those days that you decide to study by the lake

You’re both sitting under a tree laughing

And he’s just like well shit I really like her

And then he just goes fuck it and kisses you

Like a hand in the hair pull you towards him kind of kiss

He picks up on the fact you make jokes when uncomfortable

When you do this he takes your hand in his and just gives it a squeeze

You do the same for him when you notice he is uncomfortable

Both more than willing to give each other alone time

You like to sneak into the kitchens to practice new recipes on your days off

Ron loves when you test out new recipes

Any chance he gets to spend with you and eating he’s down for

Also you can’t tell me he doesn’t pull you into empty rooms between classes

Ron would definitely say I love you first

No doubt about it, how can he hold it in when he has such an amazing girlfriend 

You’d get along with his whole family and fit right in

It literally only makes him love you more

Watching you in heated discussions with the twins

Messing around with Ginny and “fighting” with Percy 

He’s just in awe of how well you fit and how it’s like you’ve always been there 

Probably during one of those moments when he realizes he wants to spend the rest of his life with you 

He’d be so proud of all your accomplishments

Just so much love

And affection

And ugh it's just so cute

BLOGTOBER 10/13/2018: WARLOCK (1989)

The truth is that we also watched WISHMASTER II this night, but even after all these years, I feel unequipped to write about it. That movie has become such a part of my DNA that trying to write something final on the topic feels like being tasked to rewrite the bible, so I’m not ready yet. As @moviesludge​ helped me articulate in gif form:

So, I’m going to talk about the also-wonderful (and not totally dissimilar) WARLOCK instead.

WARLOCK came out when I was 8, and its nasty reputation reached me immediately through the mouths of my more sinister classmates whose parents let them watch whatever they wanted. Watching it as an adult, it’s interesting to see how even though this supernatural thriller is essentially kind of a cartoony fantasy, it maintains a gross, grimy patina. The fabulous Steve Miner (HOUSE, FRIDAY THE 13TH 2-3, LAKE PLACID...) gave us this delightful story about how bug-eyed barbarian Richard E. Grant chases the antichrist through a time portal to modern-day LA, where he joins forces with punkette Lori Singer to try to save the world from satanic domination. There’s plenty of zany scenes of flying-around and animated laser fights to enjoy, amid the movie’s memorable gore gags, holding WARLOCK in a happy medium between “thrilling adventure” and “perverted nightmare”. I’ll try to describe how this is accomplished.

Apoplectic witchfinder Richard E. Grant is in a race with the abjectly sleazy warlock Julian Sands to get to the scattered pages of the Grand Grimoire, which imparts the true name of god and therefore the ability to unmake creation. That’s fine, but uhhh nowhere near as fine as Julian Sands! The smirking, leatherclad son of satan exudes an aura that is not far off the Dr. Frank N. Furter mark, pouring sexual slime all over everyone he encounters. Satisfyingly, his first kill involves sucking the tongue out the head of Lori Singer’s gay roommate (who is an antiques dealer, by the way, because this movie has sublime interior decoration by the way). Lest one think this an arbitrary aberration (after all, most of us are probably expecting only nubile female victims in this kind of movie), we move right along to an intimate scene with Warhol superstar and goddess of cool Mary Woronov, from whom the warlock takes a a pair of big grody eyeballs. Then, most memorably to folks like me who grew up with WARLOCK as an especially threatening rental, the warlock cooks a can of literal baby fat over a hobo fire, giving him the power of flight for some reason...what I’m getting at here is that there is no part of your body that Julian Sands can’t find a use for, no matter what kind of body you have! For a movie with no real nudity, WARLOCK presents a smorgasbord of perversion, with a lot of semi-cannibalistic kills, and enough bare feet to satisfy a whole cafeteria full of Quentin Tarantinos. Seriously, there’s a lot of feet in this movie. It’s intense!

I almost hate to focus so hard on the inimitable Julian Sands when the acting in WARLOCK is so uniformly first class. Lori Singer > Lori Petty, for my money, whether you know her from the musical classic FOOTLOOSE or the Philip K. Dick-esque neo noir TROUBLE IN MIND. Richard E. Grant is uniformly wonderful in everything, and in some ways, the black comic mania he delivered the same year in HOW TO GET AHEAD IN ADVERTISING is present here, though he manages never to give you the feeling that he’s just kidding in WARLOCK. But, but...that Julian Sands tho. There is really no one like him. If I felt it were warranted here, I might be inclined to bite off a long retrospective of his great and various roles, from an extra unctuous Percy Bysshe Shelley in Ken Russel’s ludicrous GOTHIC, to Elisabeth Shue’s increasingly dangerous pimp in the Oscar-baiting LEAVING LAS VEGAS. I sometimes think it’s a shame that someone who is capable of acting natural in a Cronenberg adaptation of Naked Lunch has been so largely dismissed as a B movie actor, but hey, sometimes you make BOXING HELENA, and sometimes your life is ruined. Also sometimes you just keep doing great work in any number of bad movies, even when the movie industry isn’t exactly throwing you spirals. Call me a devil worshipper, but I just can’t get enough of that Julian Sands, man.
