would you rate ZZZ as better or worse than Genshin in terms of designs overall, cuz ive heard some people say ZZZ is more distinct than Genshin but i cant see it

Its all on a relative scale innit, zzz characters actually wear clothes with form but thats a really low bar. I mostly think the best zzz designs are on the absolute bottom end of acceptable vtuber design; but in the wider scheme of thing its really boring but you cant really expect much from a billion dollar company trying to chase street level trends from several years ago.

#i really dont think mihoyo is capable of a compelling character design bc it was founded by tasteless nerds that grew too fast to develop #anything resembling a coherent hosue style #ive also got my thumb on the scale for how deeply mihoyo's design aesthetic has infected everything around it #its like the same bone i have with techware and arknights #i personally think techwear and ak is boring but i get vitrolic when people chase the fiancial success of arknights #i also like dislike mihoyo's aesthetic bc it doesnt feel like an outfit said character would wear given their “job” or personality #its fantasy but i should be able to tell what job you do or status you hold based on what you wear
