If I, hypothetically, were to consider opening commissions what would u guys (who'd wanna commission me) be willing to pay for 500, 1k, and 5k words?
For your consideration, here’s what my four most recent fics would cost with the pricing I’m currently considering:
Flower Crowns (2.5k words) — $75
Empty Beds (3k words) — $90
Shortcake Crumbs (7.6k words) — $228
Sleeping in the Garden pt.1 (21.5k words) — $645
#pattering on the roof#this is ¢3 per word#which is honestly a pretty big discount from original short story commissions which can range from like ¢15-$1 per word#but bc it’s fanfic I don’t. wanna get too overzealous#and with the longer stuff that def feels appropriate to me#like i recognize sleeping pt1 is a bit of an aggressive example but. 20k words is a fuckton nobodys commissioning that LMFAOOOOO#but like for flower crowns && empty beds that seems okay???#its just shorter stuff like a 500 word drabble that $15 seems a lil steep in that nobody would pay it pfft#idk just testing the waters
