Remember the Pokémon trainer ask with having pokepastas in their team? Could I maybe request something angsty?~ basically can I get headcanons of Arven and Kieran’s reaction to finding out Trainer got in a accident and was suffering from VERY lethal injuries and in panic missingno..basically messed them up into a pokepasta trainer, kinda corpse looking and now in never ending pain because of the raw wounds that never fully Heal but ofc take medication to numb the pain down and look out now for they’re friends so they don’t suffer the same fate? :))
Oh btw have a nice day or night!!! Remember to drink water!
Arven
From the moment he, Penny, and Nemona discovered your team enjoying a picnic...he always wondered how you got something like Missingno on your side.
But since it nearly corrupted his damn pokedex trying to just get information on it AND you were reluctant to share your past, he figured you'd just say "don't ask questions you don't want answers to" and end the convo right there.
He definitely wouldn't let Mabosstiff near it.
Last time he went near a Pokémon nobody should've known about...he almost lost his companion.
From time to time, he catches glimpses of your wounds (not during picnics ofc), bandages, and the medication Nurse Miriam prescribed to you, and suggests you save some of the herbs for yourself.
And they do help with your pain management when incorporated into tea or sandwiches (especially the salty herba mystica, which relieves your aches for a little while).
They're not miracle cures, but it's something.
Eventually, there comes a point where you know Arven wants to understand how you acquired Missingno, why you have so many ghastly Pokémon by your side, and why you were determined to defend him and the others down in Area Zero.
So you sit down and explain how you found it by accident in Kanto, caught it, and realized it was simply a lonely creature who wanted a trainer it could love and protect. Like any other Pokémon.
Yet you didn't realize the extreme lengths it would go to achieve that goal....until you nearly suffered a lethal wild Pokémon attack (it was in the dead of night, and you were ambushed while chasing after what you thought was a shiny).
You were bleeding out, bones broken and gaping wounds all over your body, and unconsciously begged for help-
And Missingno somehow heeded your call, escaping its pokeball and reviving you.
But in doing so, you were brought back as a zombie..one who still remembers the pain of that night and often cursed the glitch for not letting you die.
In time though you've made peace with it, knowing you were stuck this way now and it wouldn't let you go...
To the point where it erased its own pokeball from existence and became a constant presence around you, invisible aside from a few occasional glitch particles.
Yet you knew Missingno didn't mean any ill intent--all it wanted to do was save you.
Now you vowed to save others so they didn't suffer the same fate as you, whether that be haunted Pokémon left abandoned in some town or atop a mountain or your human friends in Area Zero.
Your pains aren't as severe now thanks to the meds, and you're grateful for Arven introducing you to herba mystica.
You were afraid he was gonna be freaked out by your story (or not believe you), but..while he finds it horrific and sad at first, he understands you better and is simply glad you're here now.
He's also happy to help his buddy manage their pain better, even if the remedies are only temporary.
Kieran
You had to bandage and conceal a great deal of your wounds so nobody at BB Academy got concerned, with DISABLED giving you a consistent best Heal Pulse to ensure your chronic pain wasn't debilitating).
Even so, Kieran assumes you got better over the past year and is desperate to battle you and win Missingno..something he vowed to acquire after realizing he'll never get Ogerpon.
You try explaining that it's literally impossible for you to surrender it, and it's too dangerous to bring it into a battle anyway, but he thinks you're just lying to him again and bragging.
In the back of his mind, though...he kept wondering why you had so many injuries..
Ofc..he's too focused on being stronger than you to ask you.
But after seeing Missingno come out (in its Fossil Aerodactyl form) and literally glitch Terapagos' beam out of existence and use Cut on multiple falling rocks---he was amazed.
You finally invite him to your dorm to talk after the mochi mayhem events, knowing he deserved some answers.
He sees the pain meds littered all over your countertop, and you finally reveal to him why you need those, why you look the way you do, and why you keep Missingno around:
Basically, after catching and befriending it, you got attacked by some wild Pokémon, and they would've left you for dead had it not intervened.
You made it feel loved, cherished, never using it as a weapon or an infinite item dispenser...and it couldn't watch you bleed to death.
So it saved your life, but it came with a great cost: neverending physical pain with your wounds never fully healing.
You used to curse Missingno for not letting you go, trying to release it several times to no avail, and just being miserable in general.
Yet once you realized it attracted more misunderstood, tortured, and damaged Pokémon to your side..you came to forgive it, knowing it was just like them despite its uncanny appearance: a creature who just wanted to protect its trainer.
Now you take medication (and a few leaves of herba mystica) to numb the pain down, so it didn't hurt as much as it did before.
You wouldn't want anybody to have a brush with death like you did. Not even your worst enemy.
That's why you went so far to protect your friends in Area Zero, especially Kieran.
After hearing your story, he felt so torn up and guilty--and convinced he was being "overdramatic".
You were still suffering all along, for years..and he had no idea, only thinking about himself and his selfish ways and how his pain couldn't possibly compare to-
But you stop your friend from spiraling, holding him and letting him cry out all of his renewed guilt, telling him that his own suffering was valid, too.
He was starting to look like a corpse with the dark circles and paler complexion....and it scared you.
Seems like he took "I wanna be like you" a bit too literally.
But you're glad Missingno saved you--otherwise you never would've gotten the chance to meet him and help him become more confident in himself (ofc you wish things were different before and didn't require you shattering his confidence first).
Since that conversation, Kieran starts taking better care of himself and makes a promise to protect you.
Not from physical threats per se as you're basically immortal, but from rude stares and whispers of how "creepy" you are.
He tends to hug you a lot and lend you his jacket for warmth if you ever get cold in class or in the polar biome.
It does help with the chills you get so often, and makes you feel grateful that you two were still friends despite everything.

Half Moon Datas #7: The Way Home
Tumblr media
First part here
After finding out the missing alpinists and Logan in a cavity in White Veil, Althea and her Pokemon Team worked together to bring them in her laboratory to free them of their cryogenized state. It wasn’t all that easy given the size of the ice blocks, but they managed to reduce them to a transportable form and safely guiding them out of the (former) forbidden land.
When everyone gets back at the facility, the detective put the blocks in an examination room. She did analysis on the ice to know the ideal temperature to melt the cold cocoons and warm up the bodies back to normal… But aside from that, she thought of how to help the four men in their awake. Althea knows that they’re alive thanks to their thoughts and their slow-but-present heartbeats (confirmed by said analysis on the bodies), but they’ve been unable to move for more than a decade… Their particular state likely preserved their original condition from the time the Mega Abomasnow froze them, but the risk of developing a physical of cognitive disability still exist. She would feel horrible to bring back missing people to their families, but they wouldn’t be able to live in the present day and their state would sadden their loved ones.
Medicine and scientific research has made huge steps in ten years, and many organizations specialized in this like the Aether Foundation and the reformed Galaxy Facility (formerly Team Galactic) leaded by Saturn. Healing people and Pokemon became easier and much more efficient than before; the Pokemon Centers are a good example of it. It’s possible to medically accompany someone without suffering side effects - or at least not heavy ones -, but Althea wants to certainly heal the cryogenized victims. After a thoughtful reflection, the detective remembers an old tale she read in an old expedition book she got in a resale store narrating the existence of rare spices with exceptional healing virtues: the Herba Mystica of Paldea. Those condiments were said to help bettering living beings’ metabolism, and even being able to recover from diseases. Although the notes from the book are considered fiction by the public, Althea knows that the border between reality and supernatural is feeble… They live in a world where creatures with incredible powers and deities exist, after all.
The young woman didn’t take long to find information about the most important people of Paldea, since most of them are publicly known - and she just needed to do a bit of digging to gather more intel. That’s how she contacts the local professors of the region: Sada and Turo. The couple of scientists work on the teracristallization phenomenon and also the development of medicine with the Herba Mystica. The reason for this is that a Pokemon resembling Misdreavus (a Flutter Mane who came to the present by an Ultra Wormhole) suddenly escaped from the Great Crater of Paldea and attacked people in its way, injuring their son Arven in the process. Sada and Turo then worked their hardest to heal their child and everyone who was hurt by the Pokemon, and they managed to do so thanks to the Herba Mystica they found in Area Zero. After Arven recovered from the incident, the Professors kept samples of the spices and did a plantation of it in their lab to study them and creating medicine with it so as to help critically injured and chronically ill people back to health.
Althea told them about the cryogenized victims she found in her region: who they are, how they ended up in this state, the circumstances of their disappearances and so on… The couple of professors were shocked when they learned what happened to the four men, especially Logan, and they didn’t hesitate to offer their help to heal them. Sada and Turo took numerous samples of Herba Mystica and cures they made, then they went to Sinnoh to the detective’s facility (Arven wanted to help too but he had exams at the Academy at that time, so he couldn’t come with his parents).
It took several hours for the ice blocks to completely melt away. As the bodies slowly heated up, Sada and Turo took care of their treatment to help them recover in their sleep while Althea looked at their condition with her holographic screens to make sure they’re okay and nothing wrong happen. After one night of work, the three adults’ efforts paid off: the alpinists and Logan are perfectly healthy, as if they’ve never been frozen for years. None of them suffer from physical after effect of the cold and their neuronal function are intact. The first to awake were the three climbers; some of their memories were blurry, but they remember their identity and their life. The detective briefly told them how she got them out of Mt. Coronet and how the couple of scientists how they free them from their state unscathed, before calling International Police agents living in Sinnoh and telling their case to them so they could safely accompany them in their return in society, both administratively and to be in page with the modern time. Althea doesn’t trust the Sinnoh Police in the slightest, but the International Police is an independent faction who’s renowned for their professionalism and for truly helping the population, so she’s more okay to be around them and ask them for help than the regular policeman.
Logan is the last person to awake from his state. After he opened his eyes, Althea and he talked with each other for a while; just like the alpinists, the man remembers who he is… And he especially remembers his wife Leila and his son Lucas, his dear family he loves. Hearing the boy’s name is hard to hear for the detective since Logan doesn’t know yet that his child disappeared, and she’s not eager at all to break the news to him (even if she knows what cover-up story to tell his parents to reassure them that she has a lead to find him)… However, now that he’s alive and well, Leila and Logan can be reunited for the time being.
Althea then revealed the whole ordeal to Dawn (who was understandably shocked, but then relieved to know that Lucas’ father is alive - as well as the other victims -) before discussing with Leila. The woman is kind and soft-spoken as usual, and the little group has a pleasant chat for a moment… Then the opportunity to talk about her husband arose, and Althea asked a few questions about him to her, whom Leila replied because she understands the researcher is a nice person without ill-intentions. When the detective asks her what she thinks about him now, Lucas’ mother paused before revealing that she always keeps her wedding ring in her clothes’ pockets since he disappeared in Mt. Coronet. Leila never believed her husband abandoned his family of his own volition and even if the police didn’t find him in the mountain and closed his case, she didn’t gave up her love for him and refused to marry another man and even be considered a widow until she has the undeniable proof of his death.
When they heard this, Althea and Dawn looked at each other for a few seconds before the telepath tell Leila she found an injured man and healed him… And that man is her husband Logan. The Rift Hunters guide the woman to the facility afterwards, to the man’s rest room… The two adults widened their eyes when they see each other. Logan recognized those long and cleans greyish blue hair and irises, tall silhouette and soft face… He instantly knew that she’s his wife. How could he forget the woman he loves? Meanwhile, Leila recognized those messy black hairs, black beard, dark blue irises, huge height and strong body, as well as those square but soft features on his face… There’s no doubt for Leila: it really is her beloved husband, and he’s alive, safe and sound. Tears then fell on their cheeks and they tightly embrace each other after a long minute of silence, relieved and happy to be together again after being forcibly separated for a decade.
The White Veil case finally ended.
The Rift Hunters managed to reunite a wife and a husband. They’ll now bring back a son to his family, as well as twin brothers.

Oh... Hi, is me again, I sent an ask about a delicate topic of a surgery not long ago... I was so hopeless when I sent the ask, and didn't think much of it, I was waiting for the third opinion of what to do with my current health state and the new doctor game me hope! We can't discard the surgery but overall is the last resource for him and wants to keep doing lab tests and such ;v; My idea still reminds of Arven looking after their special one in a delicate situation but... Well, wanted to share the news. Keep the awesome writing!
Hi there! I'm glad you've enjoyed my writing and am really sorry to hear about your situation!! I hope that things keep getting better as is possible and that your recovery is stress free and quick!!
I hope you enjoy how this is written; I don't know much about your specific case, but I can write from my own experience as someone who lives with several chronic illnesses. While I know this isn't the exact same as what you're going through, I hope it can speak some to your experience and give you some relief?

Generally speaking, vows of staying together "in sickness and in health" usually wait until weddings. Of course, a good partner is one who acts on such a vow before it is ever made.
In the grand scheme of things, your suffering beforehand doesn't feel as important to you once a diagnosis and treatment plan are made and decided upon. Or maybe that's just a stress response? It's hard to say. While the suffering leaves its own unique scars upon your heart and body, visible or not, there's a sort of grief mixed with the relief in finally knowing what's wrong. It can almost feel like an admission of defeat.
The diagnosis and subsequent planning process almost seem like an anesthetic. Maybe that helps with the grief? You're not totally sure. There eventually comes a point where you more or less nod along with what the doctors have to say, trusting that they know what's best in your case. At least now they've put a name to the faceless evil that's been ravaging your body.
Arven does as best as he can to support you every step of the way. At many times, he's brought back to his memories of the time with Mabosstiff before the herba mystica. He never wants to feel that useless again for someone so dear, so he throws himself headfirst into what can do for your care.
If it's staying up late dealing with pain, he's there to wipe your tears and stay with you. If you need reminders of medications to take, he's got alarms set on his phone. Of course, he's also feeding you as much as he can as often as he can. It's his love language. If there are any special dietary concerns, he is more than on it and is in fact more than excited to learn how to make delicious foods for you within given parameters.
After all is said and done regarding your treatment plan, the two of you discuss the long term ramifications of what must happen; Arven mourns along with you for whatever losses have to be faced.
It's an inevitability that from time to time he gets a bit overbearing in his attempts to care for you, be it in monitoring what you eat too closely or trying to make decisions for you. Arven is the sort of man who has had such little control in his life until now that the urge to be in charge of it all can very easily overwhelm him. As frustrating as it is, he'll definitely back off when told to do so. He may be grumpy for a bit, but he can sort himself out. Apologies from him will usually come in the form of food prepared for you without asking or acts of services completely wordlessly.
At the end of the day, he just wants you to know that he's there, and he loves you no matter what, in sickness and health.
