Not your followers thinking Jimin doesn't need to be big star also. Are they even sane ??? EACH AND EVERY MEMBER IN BTS IS AMBITIOUS AF, ESPECIALLY JM. But unlike JK, JM is not airhead to keep on saying he want to be next big thing, want to be seen as this het fuckboy who only sings about sex to be seen as mature, want to be one and only kpop star to do so bla bla bla all while not lifting a pen to write songs, won't have streams and sales without a 938397328 versions and all that mediaplay from company. Or atleast the bare minimum hold a mic properly and talk/sing without fidgeting and embarrassing yourself. How you gonna dominate western market without even communication skills lmao.. those times when he used to stand in shade of RM is gone lol. Jk's big project DREAMERS debuted under bubbling 100 while JM gave that YG company their 1st hot 100 entry by a collab. So saying JK is this and that while we are not seeing results organically is dumb af. Golden maknae because he sing and dance some white man's songs which company already bought success for ? Oh there's 100 other artists who sings and dance way better than him. He can't hold 5 mins on stage if he's doing a dance battle with Jimin lol.
What company doing to members IS INJUSTICE AF.. especially Jimin who fucking proved he can also be the 'next big thing'. But they conveniently sweep him under rug so his shine won't affect their industry plant launch. Or why can't they support him too ???? Is it that difficult ? JK didn't do a shit and got everything. I BET HE WONT DEBUT NO.1 FOR SEVEN NOR GET ALL THOSE RECORDS IF IT WAS NOT THE PUSH FROM SCOOTS. BE FR. Go and check his BB points to see how payola impacted his chart. It would've been a -48 like 3D on second week too. While what we asked for Jimin was the deserved support in 2nd week for a song which fucking went no.1 with fans support and artist impact alone. It's NOT secretly wishing JK's treatment for JM, but asking what he fucking deserves. Literally any company will give the extra promos for his in 2nd week but not hybe who's on a mission to sell themselves to somehow establish JK in west 😬
And don't say JM will chose me over JK. Did I said I want JM to chose me ????? THIS IS HIS CAREER HE WORKED HARD FOR NOT A FUCKASS RELATIONSHIP. Even if you look at their relationship also, it's the same lol. JM keep on giving and giving him his everything while JK sit back and enjoy Jimin while not even bothering to post a simple bday wish or go and meet him even after him begging a 100 times.
YOU CANT CALL OTHERS JK ANTIS BECAUSE THEY SEE TRUTH AND SAY IT OUT LOUD. Ask him to play fairly like a man 1st, then we will see who's the real winner here ?
DAMN IF PSYCHO WAS A PERSON
IF HE'S WINNING DOES IT MATTER HOW HE'S WINNING???? DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THINGS WORK IN THIS WORLD OR ARE YOU ONE OF THE DELULUS WHO THINK HARD WORK IS EVERYTHING?
You are crazy if you think money, connections, power, politics, privilege and luck play zero role in making a star. Please find other 2 yr olds and hug them, don't bring this shit to the adult table its embarrassing.
I'm embarrassed for you.
Scoot---- okay, MA'AM A PUSH IS A PUSH WHETHER IT'S FROM SCOOBY-DOO OR THE DEVIL
TAKE YOUR WEIRD MORAL COMPASS AND CHICKEN CHANGE ETHICS TO SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY GIVES A FUCK

Annexander (is it how were calling it?? idk) (@holdmyteaplease ur the expert on this give me a feedback)
Alexander: Think you can answer some questions without the usual level of sarcasm? Anne: If you can ask the questions without the usual level of stupid.
Alexander: *shatters a window and climbs through it* Alexander: *turns around and helps Anne through it* Breaking and entering is wrong Anne. Anne: Okay. Anne: Shut it Alexander, I only shook your hand because I had to. We will NEVER be friends. Alexander: Lets survive this together! Anne: I HOPE YOU DIE. Anne: Fellas, I gotta know for science. Is the opposite of red green or blue? Alexander: Technically a mix of green and blue? Anne: So blurple. Alexander: That's implying you're mixing blue and purple. Anne: Would you rather have fucking bleen? MOTHERFUCKING GRUE? Alexander: You were confusing before but now I'm scared Anne, holding a scooter: Alexander! Can I go outside and play with this? Alexander: Sure, whatever. I'm not your parent, okay? Anne, running outside: Thanks Alexander! Alexander, running out after them and screaming: NOT ON THE STREET! STAY AWAY! Alexander: It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s free: pouring river water in your socks! Anne: Why would I do that? Alexander: It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s free!
HELP CAUSE WHY IS THIS SO THEMMMM AKFGASKJGF
Anne and Indigo (the absolute besties)
Anne: So... what would you do if you were in bed with me? Indigo: Depends. Is your bed comfortable? Anne: Yes. Indigo: I'd sleep.
*Anne sends more than 5 messages in a row* Indigo: I ain’t reading all that. Indigo: I’m happy for you tho. Indigo: Or sorry that happened. Anne: I have a plan. Indigo: Good! As long as we aren’t breaking the law again, I’m open to hearing it. Anne: … Indigo: … Anne: I no longer have a plan.
Anne: Oh, so when crows remember people who wronged them and hold grudges, its “intelligent” and “really cool”. Anne: But when I do it, I’m “petty” and “need to let it go”.
ok... this is scarily accurate...
Alexis and Claire (friends to lovers complete dumbasses edition)(they have exactly 1 brain cell and they take turns being the responsible one. most times i gets forgotten at home)
Alexis: My hands are cold. Claire: Here, let me hold them. Alexis: My lips are cold too. Claire: *covers Alexis's mouth with their hand* Alexis: You’d be stupid to lay a hand on me. Claire: Oh, you’d be surprised how much stupid shit I do. Claire: You either buckle down and do your work or you’ll end up at McDonalds. Alexis: We're going to McDonalds if I don't do my work? Claire: NO- Alexis: What do you do for a living? Claire: I exist against my will. Alexis: Claire, I have a question. Claire: What is it, Alexis? Alexis: What color is an orange? Claire: Alexis, you bonehead! Its color is the same as its name. Just like a lemon. Alexis: I hope no one lowkey hates me. Alexis: Highkey hate me. Hate me with every fiber of your being. Alexis: Go big or go home.
THIS IS FUN. VERY FUN.

Masuda x Depressed Reader.. but it's just them arguing for 30 minutes and then comfort
Tumblr media
Remember too take care of yourself if you are having suicidal thoughts please reach out to someone! - Mod Servant
This might be a bit ooc it's my first time writing for Matsuda!
TW: THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE, MATSUDA BEING MATSUDA, CURSING,
You walked into Matsuda's room you were nervous but you felt like you had to ask him you had to tell someone...
''Hey Matsuda do you ever want to just die?''
"All the time. Why? What stupid crap happened?"
''Nothing, its fine.''
"Bullshit. What happened?"
''It's just that.. recently I've had thoughts of killing myself…''
"Hm. That sounds like a "you" problem. Not my issue."
''Fuck off''
Yasuke rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
Yasuke was about to go back to his work but decided against it. "Do you wanna talk?"
''...yeah'' you said awkwardly
"So tell me what's wrong. I'm not gonna call you a whiny loser if that's what your worrying about."
You laughed for some reason
"Hey! I'm serious! I'm not gonna call you a weakling or something." Yasuke was lying by the way
''I wanna hang myself.''
Yasuke was annoyed but held back the urge to call them a moron. "Why?"
''Uh... idk?'' It was just hard to explain but you guess emotions are like that
Yasuke was still annoyed. "You want to end your life and you don't even have a reason why. You have the IQ of a f*cking fly!"
''Go fuck yourself!!''
"Why don't you cry to someone who cares? Because I could less if your gone."
''kys''
"Aw! I hit a nerve and the baby's gonna throw a fit! Cry me a river."
"Do you have a crying fetish or something? dumb dacryphilac!!''
"Do you have dumbfuck syndrome or something? You're the one who's whining like a f*cking child!"
"Stfu"
"Only when you stop crying like a child who had to be taken away from his mommy's breast."
''WHAT''
"Oh, did I hit a nerve again? Don't act like you've never sucked on your mommy's tits to get milk."
''That's why your moms dead!!'
Yasuke froze for a split second. Then stood up and was going to grab you by your throat. "What the f*ck did you say?"
"..."
Yasuke grabbed your throat. "Shut up you goddamn freak! Do you think I like to talk about my mother's death?!"
"Do you think I like trying to tell people about my struggles and then they make fun of me?!"
Yasuke was so pissed he slapped you in the face. "My mother is gone! I had to live in a foster home for years after she died! Do you know how f*cking difficult it is to tell your friends and classmates that your mom is gone?"
"DO YOU KNOW HOW FUCKING HARD IT WAS FOR ME TO TELL YOU I WANTED TO DIE I'VE BEEN HOLDING THAT IN FOR FUCKING MONTHS AND AS SOON AS I FUCKING TELL SOMEONE I ACTUALLY TRUST THEY FUCKING MAKE FUN OF ME?!"
You were tearing up it was overwhelming you trusted him...
... Yasuke was silent. He slowly let his grip off of you, then looked down. Then he went to sit back down in his office chair, looking down at the ground.
You started crying...
Yasuke was going to make fun of you. But he didn't. Instead he stayed silent. His eyes slightly filled with tears. He was reminded of his childhood. He felt bad. "You want a hug or something?"
"yeah-....."
"Then come here dumbass."
You hugged him
''Your so mean when your being nice...''
"Shut up." Yasuke hugged you as hard as he could. He tried to hold in his tears. He started to calm down a little bit.
The only things that could be heard is soft cryingg
Yasuke held you close to him, and just hugged you. "Calm down y/n. Come on. It's going to be alright."
Alright that's it I'm tired I'm sorry - Mod Servant

#x: Deformities, Body & Mind, Reminders, reminders, reminders... nothing more than time wasters... last Cazbium this and new Cazbium that... There is no such thing, nothing has changed, the ship that floats underneath the surface... what a joke... what, you come, up with that in the moment with little to no afterthought?... says a lot about you yah know... I mean COME ON! What'd you call a private inspection with no vocal comments?... a clear sign your shit sucks and your business is going under... and fuck, if this is the treatment we get, think it's best to assume... no... one... is... watching... dumbass. Can't believe that little shit and what he's doing down there "Not even really going anywhere, lifting what? Mental Weight? What a fuckin baby... just get over this shit already" Exactly. Dosen't matter what little journey he's goin on... it'll be all for nothing in the end, which makes it more depressing... it's understandable to change, but, like this? "It's sad" Very. And now what? Lost again? He's got no map back to the city? Does he even really understand how far he really is from his... "Prized Salvation"... "He won't make it past the Desert... for its one thing to lay to rest dead friendships... but live ones? He's a walking contradiction, and no one will say it out loud... He wants peace and happiness... but refuses to pick up the Torch? I'm so tired of the rampant lies... no bridge, new or old, crosses The River" I wonder what it is he thinks he'll achieve in somehow beating us to The Contract... Does he think that by stopping us and safeguarding The Contract further, that all of the painful attacking forces of the past are just gonna... Dissappear?... how much fucking copium is that grifter huffin? "Too much. Propped up by lies from inside and out" It's like, stop fucking giving a shit... Jesus... if no one cared in the first place "No one will care now" it's so easy to see the advantage people are taking of us... yet he still marches on, and for what? Because of a promise? Because of The Contract?... "Because he's got nothing left, too coward to end it" The second the goldfish goes belly up... is the second everyone flushes him out of their minds "We are no ones after thoughts... he needs to grow a pair and accept that" Mmhmm, yep. Well... fuck this... load the guns... if he won't do it... "We will".

YOURS, CLASS PREZ !! // new me my ass
Blasting your favorite song through your earphones, you slowly walked towards your locker to put your things and got ready for lunch. You checked yourself in your mirror that hang on your locker and smiled when you felt ready.
That was until you felt someone jumping on you while putting their hand on your shoulder. You shoot your glance to the person and saw yang jungwon. “So, you ready?” He asked with an evil smile.
“Not even a bit you fucker, i hate the first step of this plan” You rolled your eyes. “Do you want to just skip to the last step?” He smirked. You kicked his leg and glared, “Not even in a million years! I’m gonna confess to him before the last step!”
“Confession? Last step? What are you talking about?” You heard a third voice behind you as you froze. You turned around to see the one and the only, Nishimura Riki. You let out a long sigh and smiled, “Yn has a tiny crush on someone and she won’t tell me” Jungwon pout.
“It’s my own crush, why would i tell something like that to a rat like you?” You played along and punched his shoulder. Riki raised a brow and immediately run to hug you, “Ynie noona~ You’re gonna tell me who’s that though, right?” He made his puppy eyes and you immediately looked away, to Jungwon’s direction.
“Oh, I think i understand” He let out from the hug with a smirk and winked at you. You blankly stared at him and hit his head, “No you don’t, let’s just go to the cafeteria”
You three walked together into the cafeteria and immediately noticed your friends sitting and laughing together. You run and instantly occupied your seat next to Sunoo.
“Hey guys, I found these dumbasses on my way here” You smiled and pointed at Riki and Jungwon. Haru, Ningning and Hikaru looked deadly at jungwon and raised their eyebrows. “So, Yang Jungwon—OW” Hikaru was the first one to talk but got cut off when you kicked her leg under the table.
She glared at you but you just smiled and signaled her not to do anything stupid. “I bet you all know me but it’s better if i introduce myself again, as a new version of me now.” Jungwon smiled, “Hello, i’m Yang Jungwon, class 11-2’s president, it’s nice to meet you” He ended his short speech and you sarcastically clapped your hands.
“New me my ass” You grabbed some rice and rolled your eyes playfully. “I’m Nishimura Riki, call me a kid and i will not be afraid to send you to the closest hospital” He cutely smiled and began to eat.
Through the lunch you laughed, made jokes together and made sure everyone was having real fun. Jungwon reminded you the plan here and there and you made sure to shot a glare at him every time.
You decided it was finally time to try out and took a long sigh, “Ugh I’m lonely today, i have nothing to do” You scoffed loudly. You friend group looked at you and started laughing loudly, Jungwon joined them right after.
“Oh!! I know, let’s hang out together, all of us!!” Riki shouted out and suddenly the table became quiet. Jungwon knocked his head on the table and the rest of them except sunoo and riki facepalmed.
“S-sure” You nervously giggled. “Yes! Let’s hang out in some park near a river!! Watching the sunset there is alway pretty, and we can buy some ice cream too and then go to the arcade its gonna be so fun!!” He sounded overexcited and jumped in his seat.
“Sure, let’s do that” Sunoo smiled and helped Riki relax.
Your eye twitched, you weren’t angry but you tried to stop your overwhelming feelings. Your first step totally failed, next step is gonna have Jungwon included and you knew it’s not going to end well when Jungwon is involved.

The aircraft door opened and you stepped out gratefully onto the air jetty. You weren’t scared of flying, you just didn’t like being cooped up in a flying tube for several hours on end. Up an escalator and along a short corridor and then you were able to see outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The sky was beginning to shade into the colours it would take on for dusk. It looked like it had been a nice day and you hoped the good weather would continue for your stay.
Karen had texted you while you were sitting on the plane at JFK, waiting for it to push back. Frank had told her that Micro had tracked your phone to the airport so boy, were you glad you’d turned off your old phone and switched to the new one when you did. She’d also told you that Billy had asked him to find out where you were headed, and your heart sank. You knew it wouldn’t take long for Micro’s vast and nerdy computer skills to find you but then again, London was a huge city and they’d have no idea whereabouts in it you’d gone to ground, thanks to your new ‘burner phone’.
You were feeling super-excited. This was beginning to feel like an action movie, with you on the run from the bad guys.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
“London??!!” Billy shouted, making Frank quickly move his phone away from his ear on the other end. “Yeah, London,” he replied.
Billy was back at his usual post by the window. “I mean... obviously I knew she was gonna fly somewhere but I thought it would the West coast, Miami, Seattle, Alaska... somewhere like that. But to go to a whole other continent....!!!!” Frank sighed, “Yeah, Bill, sounds like she’s really not keen to bump into you anytime soon.” “Yeah, thanks for remindin’ me.” “Bill, you brought this on yourself, buddy.” “I know!” yelled Billy, “An’ all I wanna do is get her back and make it up to her for the rest of my life, and all I know is she’s in London! Do you know how big that place is?” “Yeah, I do. And t’be honest... I dunno how you’re gonna even try to find her over there.”
There was a silence on the other end of the phone. “I mean...” Frank continued, “I’m guessin’ you are gonna go over there and try to find her, Bill?”
Billy’s shoulder twitched upwards briefly, and he stared intently out the window at the New York skyline.
“Yeah, Frankie... yeah, I damn well am.”

You’d left two of your big suitcases and the backpacks in a luggage storage facility at JFK, travelling with just the one suitcase and a large shoulder bag. You took the overground Heathrow Express to Paddington before negotiating a change onto the Tube to reach Tower Hill DLR station, boarding one of the driverless trains out to Canary Wharf. Settling back into your seat, feeling pretty proud of yourself for managing not to get hopelessly lost.
Your AirBnB apartment was in a part of the city called Docklands, beside the Thames on the Isle of Dogs. It was an area of shiny skyscraper offices and fancy apartment blocks built round the old docks, and your accommodation for the next two weeks was in one of those. You were suitably impressed when you got inside it... open plan, all trendy furniture and gleaming fittings. Big, big windows with views of the river and the tall buildings.
Your phone chimed and you saw a text from Karen on your notifications. Taking your suitcase and bag into the bedroom, you went back out to the main area and sat on the sofa to read it. Oh. Billy now knew you were in London, and had apparently booked a flight over - he’d be arriving tomorrow. Your heart rate sped up; Billy was a sniper, used to finding, stalking, watching his prey. But, you told yourself, he had no idea whereabouts in the city you were and no way of finding you.
Relax.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Billy stepped off the Heathrow Express, looking around for signs indicating where the taxi rank was. He’d been looking at the Tube map during the train journey. Nah, fuck that.
He was too wired to even think about getting to London Bridge on the Underground, or ‘Tube’ as he found out Londoners called it. His brain had been working overtime trying to figure out how the hell he was going to find her in a city the size of London. She’d stay central, surely - she wouldn’t head to the suburbs, he felt confident of that.
Getting into the first taxi in the queue, he drawled out, “The Shard, please.” The taxi driver nodded and pulled away from the station without saying anything. Thank fuck, thought Billy, I can’t be dealing with a talker right now. But just as the thought had left his head, the driver’s London accent said, “First time in London, guv?” Billy sighed, “No. No, it isn’t.” In fact it was, but he wasn’t about to tell the driver that. He’d only end up getting taken on the ‘scenic route’, double the time, double the price.
The driver grunted and turned up the radio... really annoying music could now be heard but Billy would take that over inane small talk any day. He looked out of the windows at the city streets and his mind went back to his mission. Mission impossible. Finally he saw the river and the taxi crossed a wide bridge before pulling up outside the lofty skyscraper that was The Shard. According to the blurb he’d read on some travel website it was the tallest in Western Europe, and while there were taller buildings in New York, the shape of this one made it look quite dramatic.
He paid and got out of the taxi with his expensive wheeled duffel bag, heading to the Shangri La entrance of The Shard and going inside. (It’s one of the priciest hotels in London - of course). Checked in at reception on the 35th floor, he was then whisked up to his room on the 52nd by another express lift. The windows were huge and the views spectacular.
Once again, he was gazing out of a window at a cityscape.
Where is she?
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Your first full day, you occupied yourself with getting to know the surrounding area, doing some grocery shopping and sitting on your large balcony, enjoying the view and relaxing with a glass of wine.
Every time a plane went overhead you wondered if Billy was on it - he was due here today. You shook yourself a little, you’d just have to stop thinking about it. He wouldn’t find you.
Your mind wandered unbidden to his recent behaviour. Knowing Billy was a player from day one, you’d still got involved with him. More fool you. Another old cliché.... you thought you’d be the one to change him. And you thought you had. You’d dated him for a few months, he seemed to have ditched his old hound-dog ways and when he’d asked you to move in with him, you’d agreed without thinking it over too deeply.
Now, looking back, it seems like you’d made a big mistake.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Micro had spent quite some time constructing a query table that he could run against accommodation reservations in London for her arrival day. She had no reason to book under another name and he’d just have to run with that assumption.
When Billy had come directly to him instead of going via Frank to ask that he try and track down her reservation, Micro had been too scared to refuse. Billy still really unsettled him - he always reminded him of a circling predator.
This query would take a while to run. He hit the go button and wandered off to work on another project while it tunnelled its way through layer upon layer of data.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Billy was pacing his swanky hotel room like a caged panther. He’d given up on the idea of roaming the streets of London trying to spot his target, that was just one dumbass idea. He’d never find her that way, much better to just wait on that geeky twat to come up with the answer with his internet wizardry.
He’d spoken to Frank earlier, who had nothing new to report. Billy wouldn’t allow himself to feel guilty at cutting him out of the loop on his recent ask to Micro. He wasn’t stupid enough to believe that Frank wouldn’t mention it to Karen. Much as he loved him like a brother, Frank was a big sap when it came to Karen and he knew he’d give in and tell her, probably sooner rather than later.
However Frank had told him that Madani had called earlier that day, wanting to know where Billy was and why she couldn’t get in touch with him. Billy had figured out that his girl had got herself a new phone, and he’d followed suit. Which is why Dinah hadn’t been able to reach him. “Whaddya tell her?”he’d asked. “That you were on an overseas operation and were incommunicado.” “Good,” nodded Billy, “....that takes care of that little problem for a while at least,” feeling a sense of relief.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Frank cut the call, a grim smile on his face. He hadn’t been completely straight with Billy, but it was for his own good. What he’d told Madani, however, had been the unadulterated gospel truth.
He’d said to her that Billy had hared off to Europe in pursuit of his live-in girlfriend, who’d suspected him of cheating on her and left him. He was absolutely determined to get her back.
He’d taken great satisfaction in the dead silence on the other end of the line, eventually punctuated by an angry snort and the call being abruptly ended.
That ‘little problem’ was hopefully taken care of for good.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Micro looked at his phone as it beeped at him, the notification saying that his query was complete. That had taken much longer than he thought it would. Now he could only hope it hadn’t returned too many matches as he’d thought it prudent to run it on surname only.
He pulled up the results table and was pleased to see that there were only a thousand or so, he’d feared there would be many more. He scrolled through the list and quickly pinpointed the one he’d been looking for.
With a deep sigh he picked up his phone, typed “Wood Wharf, Water St, London E14”, a building and apartment number into a new message, then hit send. It would be the early hours of the following morning in London, so he very much doubted that Billy would leap out of bed and head right over there.
He finished eating his supper, drank a beer and settled down to watch TV when his conscience started bothering him. Should he? He shivered when he thought about what Russo might do to him if he found out.
Popping another bottle of beer open, he sat and contemplated what he should do for quite a while. He suddenly picked up his phone, sending a quick text to Frank telling him about the whole situation and including the fact that Russo now had her London address.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
While you were lounging on your balcony, sipping your wine and watching the world go by, it suddenly occurred to you that this would be a great base to work out of for a while. You messaged the estate agent and extended your stay to one month, with an option to extend if required.
Then, on a whim, you booked a flight to Barcelona early the next morning from City Airport - it was really close to your apartment even if the flights were a bit more expensive. You’d been doing a little research into other destinations to explore, and having a base in London to travel to and from made you feel much more comfortable. The W Barcelona had caught your eye while you’d been browsing for accommodation and as you were only going for a few nights, you’d booked in there.
Feeling extremely pleased with yourself, you got up and went into your bedroom, looking for a folded-up smaller travel bag you knew you’d packed in your luggage. Finding it, you began to choose some outfits for your short trip, thinking what a joy it was that you could now leave your large suitcase here.
But damn, you were going to have to be up early tomorrow. Best to get an early night, you thought, immediately yawning.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Billy shot up in bed as his phone chimed with Micro’s text. When he read the information in the text, contrary to Micro’s belief he did leap out of bed and started pulling on his clothes (Micro had forgotten that this was an ex-Marine he was dealing with here).
He sat back down on the bed and googled the location. Oh okay, East London.... Docklands. Too far to walk and he didn’t think the Tube ran at this hour. Then he pulled up the Uber app and booked an immediate pick-up.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
Walking into the terminal building at City Airport, you were in the middle of a total yawning fit when a text came in. It was from Karen and you stopped, putting down your bag so you could read it.
Karen: Sorry to tell you this hon, but Billy went direct to Micro 🙄 and intimidated him into finding your London accom. Frank’s told him not to do that again no matter how much he’s shitting himself! Please take care of yourself 💋
You: Bastard 👿 thanks for the heads-up, I will do 😘
Picking your bags up again, you hurried over to one of the automated check-in machines to get your luggage tag.
Whoever had said ‘timing is everything’ had definitely got that right.
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
“Oi!!!” yelled an irate male voice. Billy turned his head to see a groggy-looking tousle-haired guy, obviously just having been woken up. “Keep the noise down!”
Billy said nothing, just gave the guy his death stare. His head quickly disappeared back inside his apartment.
After pressing the buttons of a few apartment numbers at the main entrance, someone had buzzed him in and he’d been pounding on her apartment door for the last five minutes. But there was no response, and he knew she wasn’t that heavy a sleeper.
He slid tiredly down onto the floor outside her door. Had she somehow known he was on his way over here? No.... how would she know that?
His head dropped down in momentary defeat and he ran his fingers through his hair, groaning.
She hadn’t moved on already, had she?
»»————————————-———- ⚜ ———————————-————-««
The plane lifted off the tarmac, and immediately you felt a huge sense of relief. You just weren’t ready to see Billy right now - you’d probably kill him if you did, ex-Marine or not.
Now you were off on your next adventure.

Leah (Stardew) x Selectively Mute She/Her Reader
A/N: Thought I’d try something different with this one. Sorry if I didn’t detail the instances of sign language very well, or if they are a little off, I did try. Also Kel is an asshol in this when they show up so get ready for that. Robin is cool mom and Abigail is the friend who is always ready to fight at the drop of a hat. Also, time is so weird in Stardew? There are four season in a year but each season is like a month so a year is like four months. Time is scary. I hope you like it! Word Count: 8,943
~
“So, someone has finally taken up that old farmland,” Leah heard Gus say to Harvey as he fixed the good doctor a drink at the bar, “‘Heard Lewis and Robin talking about it outside of Pierre’s yesterday.”
“Is that so?” Harvey was tired from a long day at the clinic, but being ever polite, he humored Gus and rested fully against the bar stool.
“Mhmm, looks like the old man’s kin is finally gonna make something of it. A few years late though I must say, that place is well overgrown. It’s gonna take a lot more than a little elbow grease to spruce up that dump,” Gus chuckled good naturedly and handed Harvey his beer, “I wish them luck, whoever they are.”
“Bah!” Leah jumped in her seat tucked away in the corner. Pam must have been listening in too. “If they’re smart they’ll just sell the heap of trash to Joja. M’sure they’d get a pretty penny for it.” Pam spoke bitterly. Shane, who was also quite drunk at this point in the night, took the opportunity to add his two cents in and yell across the bar.
“Why would they get your daughter for selling out to Joja?”
“That’s not what I meant, dumbass!” Pam roared back, slamming her beer on the table with a loud thump.
Leah decided she’d call it a night then. Without Elliott to crack jokes with, the saloon could get real depressing real fast with Shane and Pam racing each other to see who would get alcohol poisoning first. Even Clint was just sad to watch. The poor man sitting hopefully, waiting for Emily to even just turn in his direction. Leah finished the rest of her beer and paid Gus, giving the man a sympathetic smile as he left to cut Shane off.
Leah shivered in the cool spring breeze as she walked along the river bank to her cottage and her thoughts wandered back to what Gus had been gossiping about.
“A new face around Stardew Valley, hm?” Leah mused, kicking a stray pebble in her path, watching it skip across the cobbled stone. “I guess I won’t be the town newbie anymore.” She smiled and turned to look in the direction of Marnie’s home, knowing that the farm was somewhere just beyond. As Leah turned the key to unlock the door of her small cottage, she wondered what changes this new resident might bring.
***
“Have you met our new resident farmer yet?” Leah heard Caroline ask Jodi as she walked across the town square.
“I suppose you could call it that,” Jodi laughed, “It was a very brief meeting to say the least.”
“I’m glad I wasn’t the only one then,” Caroline sighed, putting a hand to her chest in relief, “I thought I had offended the girl somehow, she never said a word. She just walked into the shop and pointed to a few seeds she wanted to buy, then she handed Abigail, Pierre and I daffodils and went on her way. Not so much as a sound.” Caroline explained, still bewildered by the interaction.
“Sounds about right,” Jodi nodded, “She knocked on the front door and handed me a single clam. Which was nice I suppose, but so very odd. She gave Vincent a daffodil too,” Jodi smiled, “He was very pleased. I’m sure she would have given Sam something as well if he could wake up at a more reasonable time.”
“Oh, Leah! Good morning!” Caroline had caught her. Leah put on her most sociable smile and walked forward, greeting the two women.
“Good morning Caroline, Jodi.”
“Have you been visited by the farm fairy yet?” Jodi asked, chuckling along with Caroline.
“I’m afraid not.” Leah admitted. “Although Elliott says I am a bit difficult to track down at the best of times.” She laughed good naturedly.
“Well, I’m sure she’ll get you sooner or later. She seems to be on a mission to greet the whole town. If you can call it a greeting I suppose. I don’t even know her name.” Caroline realized.
“It’s (Y/n).”
The three women jumped and turned to a grinning Robin, walking up to them with her yoga mat swaddled under her arm.
“Her name is (Y/n). She’s quite the character, huh?”
“Robin, you helped Mayor Lewis move her in didn’t you? What can you tell us?” Jodi asked, looking for any crumb of information she could get on the mysterious girl.
“Not much to tell,” Robin shrugged, “Just a sweet kid wanting to get away from the pressures of the big city,” she sent a knowing look at Leah, “Sounds like someone else I know.”
Leah laughed politely, twisting a finger around the tail end of her braid as blush settled in her cheeks faintly.
“But why is she so... you know, quiet?” Caroline asked.
“Hm, well, she did give me her blessing to explain should it come up.” Robin took a moment to think of how to proceed, absently tapping her fingers against her mat. “(Y/n) is selectively mute. She has the ability to speak, but she’s just not comfortable enough to do so at this time. This move was a big decision for her, and she’s excited, but it’s just gonna take some time before she feels secure enough to communicate orally.”
“And how did you get all this information out of her?” Caroline wondered.
Robin secured her yoga mat between her thighs and presented both hands, pointing her index fingers outward and drew a couple large circles in the air with the tips of her extended fingers. “Sign language!” Robin grinned, before taking a hold of her mat once more.
“Oh how clever!” Jodi praised. “I wish I understood sign language.”
“I’d be happy to show you a few of the basics sometime. If you really need to ask (Y/n) something though she will have no problem writing out answers for you.” Robin informed. “Now, are we working out today or...”
“I completely forgot!” Caroline smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand, “Yes, let’s go. Poor Marnie is probably wondering where we are. Are you going to join us Leah?”
“I’ll pass, thanks. I’m heading to the beach to do some painting,” Leah explained, motioning to her bag.
“Alright, see you around!” Caroline, Jodi and Robin bid Leah goodbye and hurried to the general store.
Leah sighed, as much as she liked the people in this town they were so chatty. She could have been at the beach forever ago! Once she arrived, she saw Haley sunbathing. Not unusual, but as she kept walking closer to shore she saw Elliott splayed out over the sand laying on his stomach.
Leah rolled her eyes and walked over, playfully kicking the man’s arm, causing him to squint up at her.
“Is there some kind of new writing exercise I should know about?” She asked, playfully.
“I wish, this is simply writer’s block at its finest.” Elliott groaned. “That, and I don’t know what I’m going to do with this,” he sat up and produced a wild horseradish from his jacket pocket.
“Why do you have a horseradish in your pocket?”
“A girl I’ve never seen before in my life gave it to me. Then she took off before I could refuse. Didn’t even say a word.”
“She’s totally weird, but she did give me a daffodil so I guess she’s not that bad.” Haley called from her own spot in the sand.
“Has everyone met the new girl except me?” Leah wondered aloud.
“She’s been making rounds. I’m sure she’ll find you eventually.” Elliott said, resting his chin over his arms.
“You make her sound so ominous.” Leah laughed, lowering herself to the sand and taking out a sketch pad.
“A silent specter. A harbinger of-“
“Oh can it, drama queen,” Leah smirked, “so she gave you a horseradish, it’s not the end of the world. She was just trying to be nice.”
Elliott pursed his lips, propping his head up with one hand he turned the horseradish in the other offering it to Leah. “Do you want it? You’re all about foraging.”
“I mean, if you’re not going to use it sure. Put it in my bag.” Leah relented easily. Her eyes only leaving her paper to study the horizon for a moment, then continue to sketch.
Leah stayed on the beach with Elliott for a couple of hours, talking  sketching, and painting. Finally she stood and stretched, patting the sand off the back of her jeans. “I should get going. See you around.”
“See you.” Elliott nodded, splitting off from Leah to head over to his shack.
Leah hummed to herself as she walked through town, making her way past Jodi’s house and entered the Cindersnap Forest. As she rounded the corner of her cottage, she paused in her tracks. Observing a young woman staring at her door with dandelions in one hand and her other poised to knock on the weathered wood.
Leah flinched slightly, she had stepped on a twig, snapping it and alerting her visitor of her presence.
Startled eyes met Leah’s own and the farmer straightened from her previous position, stepping back from Leah’s door.
She smiled shyly, giving Leah a short, jaunty wave before gesturing between Leah and the cottage a moment. Then she stood still. An expectant look on her face.
Leah simply stared back, blinking before she registered the silent question. “Oh! Yes, I live here. That’s my house. You’re (Y/n), right? Robin told me about you, I’m Leah.” She smiled kindly, coming forward to offer (Y/n) her hand to shake.
Instead of grasping Leah’s hand, (Y/n) cupped it with her gloved hands, turning Leah’s hand palm up and placing the dandelions inside.
“Ah, thank you.” Leah chuckled, “These will make a great salad.”
(Y/n) nodded vigorously, then moved to make her exit. Leah wasn’t sure what possessed her, but she called out to (Y/n) before she could get too far.
“Wait, I um, it’s not much but I did take an intro to ASL course my freshman year of college so, I’m a bit limited but if you ever want to talk, you know...” Leah wished she could stop talking right now. Why had no one told her that the farmer was cute!? “So, yeah, you know,” Leah fumbled with her free hand, her fingers sat just underneath her chin before she sent them forward, “Thanks again.” She smiled nervously.
(Y/n) stared at her, dumbfounded. Then she released a short, sharp exhalation of air that was reminiscent of stuttered laughter and turned back to stand before Leah. (Y/n) made a timid approach and gingerly took Leah’s wrist, still hovering midair, and guided the hand back to rest on Leah’s chin, just below her lip. Leah stood still as stone as (Y/n) held it there for a second then extended the hand forward. She repeated the motion twice more before backing away and releasing Leah from her gloved grasp. The smell of earth and grass still clung to Leah’s nose even after (Y/n) had stepped back.
“Oh, I did it wrong, didn’t I?” Leah blushed, “Is there a big difference between the two?”
(Y/n) blew out a large breath of air and nodded. One of her gloved hands came up to cover the amused smile fighting against her lips.
“What did I say? Was is embarrassing? Yoba, I need to know,” Leah carefully set the dandelions at her feet and rummaged through her bag. Taking out her sketch pad and a pencil, she flipped to a clean page and presented the materials into the rough fabric of (Y/n)’s gloved hands, “Please, tell me.”
(Y/n) shot Leah a sympathetic smile, then she looked down at the paper and wrote quickly and concisely. She looked over her work, nodded to herself, then she handed the sketch book and pencil back to Leah before jogging of in the direction of her farm.
“Eh- Hey! Wait a minute!” Leah took a few strides after the farmer but quickly gave up, electing to look at the paper in her hand instead. “Maybe I’ll tell you some other time. Nice meeting you Leah, smiley face.” Leah read aloud to herself. She scoffed, but couldn’t stop the smile that had conquered her lips. She couldn’t wait to see (Y/n) again.
***
“Hey, Maru-“
“I think I have a feeling about what this is about, but just in case, please proceed.”
The next morning, Leah had made her way to the clinic to visit Maru and perhaps get the answers she was looking for. She had made the trek to (Y/n)’s farm first, but she wasn’t there. A little note hastily taped to the farmer’s door revealed that she was spending the day fishing in the mountains and wouldn’t be back until late at night.
“Maru, you know sign language like your mom, right?” Leah asked.
“Sure do. Seb and dad do too.” Maru nodded, leaning over the clinic counter. “But I’ve got to tell you that if you’re looking for the meaning of what you accidentally signed to (Y/n) last night, we were sworn to silence earlier this morning before (Y/n) went fishing. Sorry.” Maru smiled.
“Ugh,” Leah sighed, leaning her forehead against the counter. “Can I at least have a hint?”
“Well, it’s really funny. Especially considering how chill you normally are and your kind disposition.”
“Yoba, I really need to know!” Leah groaned against the counter.
“Well my family can’t tell you. You’ll just have to wait to hear it from (Y/n),” Maru grinned and pushed away from the counter, “I have to prepare for Evelyn’s check up now so I’ll see you around Leah.”
“Yeah, bye.” Leah grumbled, watching Maru disappear into the back offices. “Well, there goes that plan.” She mumbled under her breath as she left the clinic.
Leah spent the rest of the day sculpting in her cottage. She spent hours getting lost in the chipping of the wood before finally going to bed.
***
It had been days since Leah last saw (Y/n) and if the farming life wasn’t so demanding, Leah would have been worried that she had deeply offended the farmer to the point that she was purposely avoiding her. Leah decided not to waste the time she had been presented with.
She approached Robin about sign language lessons, enough to get some basic phrases and words. She practiced the motions herself, perfecting them to allow for no mistakes. Although she knew (Y/n) could hear her just fine, she found it easier to retain the lessons this way. Not to mention that it was just a useful language to know.
“I’ve hardly seen you around. I was worried you stabbed yourself with your woodworking tools.” Elliott said as Leah came up to sit next to him in the saloon.
“And you didn’t think to come to check on me?” Leah looked at the writer incredulously.
“Nope.”
Leah punched Elliott’s arm and he laughed. Before long, Emily came by with their food and they ate comfortably.
“Would you look at that.” Elliot spoke, pointing in direction of the door as he swallowed another bite.
Leah turned to look, purple irises sparkling at the sight of (Y/n) lugging a large bag up to the bar. She watched Emily talk (Y/n)’s ear off, the poor farmer smiled uncomfortably while trying to divide her attention between her and Gus who had apparently requested a variety of fish.
“Wow, Robin said you were in trouble but you really are,” Elliott chuckled behind his beer, “You really lit up just now.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Leah scoffed, still watching (Y/n) hand Gus fish after fish. It was almost comical how such an objectively small bag could hold so much.
“You can’t keep your eyes off her. I realize the dating pool in Stardew is small, but the girl just got here.”
“Elliott, stop!” Leah blushed, looking back down at her plate to stab at her salad.
“I’m just saying, you’re already taking sign language lessons for her you might want to dial it back a little bit. You wouldn’t want to come off as the obsessive type.”
“Oh! She’s leaving, should I offer to walk her home? I’m going to offer to walk her home.” Leah dug in her pocket and pulled out some gold, pushing it over to Elliott.
“What did I just say?” Elliott called after Leah, as she eagerly jogged to the exit to catch (Y/n) walking in the direction of the Cindersaps, perfect!
“(Y/n), good evening!” Leah called jogging up to the farmer only to have the farmer gasp and take several steps away from Leah, holding her hands out as a warning to not come any closer. “I’m sorry, I’m didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable!” Leah gasped, maybe Elliott was right.
(Y/n) shook her head, slowly taking a step back towards Leah, presenting her slightly soggy bag and waving her hand in front of her nose, scrunching her face as she did so.
Leah was sure the movement wasn’t an official ASL sign, but it did help get the point across and she giggled.
“What? Do you think you smell?”
Another nod and a look that seemed to say that she didn’t just think so, she knew so. She had been in the mines all morning and fishing at the beach all afternoon. She couldn’t wait to take a shower.
“It’s alright, I won’t judge you,” Leah smiled, “Are you heading home for the night? I’d be happy to walk with you since it’s so dark.”
(Y/n) took a moment to think about it before nodding shyly and motioning Leah closer. Leah happily obliged walking alongside the farmer into the Cindersap Forest. The walk was mostly silent, but that was to be expected nonetheless, Leah was having a great time. They had even found a couple of leeks along the way which (Y/n) had insisted Leah keep. All too soon, they reached the porch of the old farmhouse.
“You’re crops look great,” Leah complimented, looking for an excuse to stay even just a few minutes more, “really healthy. What all have you been growing? Are those potatoes and turnips?”
(Y/n) looked over her shoulder as she unlocked her door. Her eyes focused on where Leah was pointing and nodded affirmingly.
“Yeah, I’m no farmer but I love foraging. I’ve got a few really good books about wild foods and where to find them and when. It’s kind of like a scavenger hunt.” Leah grinned.
“Mhmm.”
It was quiet, a little strained, but the small hum of agreement almost sent Leah into cardiac arrest. She sounded so sweet! Leah’s cheeks were starting to hurt from how widely she was smiling.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it then. So, I’ll see you around?”
(Y/n) looked like she wanted to say something, but settled for a simple nod, fiddling with the gardening gloves she had taken off. Leah smiled softly, watching how the farmer intently eyed the fabric twisting in her hands.
“Feel free to drop by the cottage whenever it suits you. I’ll leave the door open!” Leah added, waving over her shoulder as she turned to walk away. (Y/n) beamed, looking a bit more lively as she waved back.
Leah turned her back on the house and walked back to her cottage in the Cindersaps with a skip in her step and a painfully large smile on her face. Although it was already late, she prepared a new block of wood for sculpting. Her new muse had granted her a vision for a grand project and had the potential to be one of her greatest works yet.

“Kel, I told you to stop calling me. I’m not coming back to the city, we are through.” Leah frowned, her hand gripped the phone receiver so tightly that she could hear the plastic giving slightly under the pressure.
She was so focused on combating Kel’s useless bargains that she hadn’t noticed the timid farmer show herself in, looking at Leah’s tense shoulders and back with concern. (Y/n) flinched as Leah cut off Kel to speak again, her voice low and stern.
“There is nothing you could say, nothing you could offer me, that would make me come back. Move on, and please, for the last time, do not call me again.” Leah slammed the phone down on its perch. Pressing her palms into her eyes she let out a frustrated groan, slowly positioning her hands to rub at her temples to combat the headache she felt coming on.
Then she heard the door creak.
Leah quickly turned around just in time to see (Y/n) looking back at her with wide eyes and lips pursed thin as if she had been caught witnessing an event she had no business seeing. Which was partially true, but Leah had told her a week beforehand that she could drop by anytime.
“(Y/n), what a pleasant surprise!” Leah grimaced, watching (Y/n) flinch and look down sheepishly at her feet. One had managed to retreat back out the door before being caught and it was slowly joined by the intruding foot, so (Y/n) was fully outside again. Leah shook her head and calmly approached the farmer.
“Please don’t leave, I’m the one who told you to come let yourself in whenever. I’m sorry you had to hear all of that.” Leah was worried, watching (Y/n) linger in the doorway. Her shoulders relaxed when (Y/n) cautiously came back inside and closed the door behind her.
(Y/n) stood in the entryway and looked over Leah, her eyes filled heavily with concern. She raised a hand, pointing to Leah before signing the letters ‘o’ and ‘k’.
“I’m okay. I’m just,” Leah fumbled for the right words, “mad, sad? Exhausted.”
(Y/n) made another gesture, shaping her fingers into a ‘hang loose’-esque sign. Her curled fingers meeting her chin. She lowered the hand momentarily to give it a controlled shake before bringing it back up into the starting position.
“What’s wrong?” Leah mumbled, making sure she understood. (Y/n) nodded. “I just got a phone call from someone I didn’t want to talk to is all,” Leah sighed, “They’re an ex of mine. The person who called.” Leah disclosed, rubbing the back of her neck, agitated.
(Y/n) signed again, but Leah didn’t quite catch it that time so she motioned (Y/n) over to her dining nook and sat her down with some paper and a pencil. The farmer seemed a bit unwilling to write it out, feeling like it was more insensitive somehow but with a little prodding from Leah, she gave in.
“Was it a bad break up...” Leah read aloud. She sat back in her chair and carefully chose her words. “Sometimes it feels like we’re still breaking up,” Leah chuckled wryly, “Kel, my ex, didn’t like me perusing art. They didn’t think I could make a living out of it and wanted me to waste away at some office job and well, I didn’t want that. They weren’t respectful or supportive of my dreams, so I left. They call me a lot though, to try to convince me to come back to the city... that I won’t make it as an artist. That I can’t be happy without them. It really is exhausting and the worst part is, I worry that they’re right.” Leah released a shuddering breath, “I haven’t sold a single piece. I don’t really even know how to start. I can sustain myself on what I have in my savings account for only so long.”
(Y/n) covered Leah’s hand with her own, squeezing it. Leah marveled at how soft it was in comparison to her own, especially since it was the hand of a farmer. Perhaps the gloves (Y/n) always wore had more practical uses rather than simply being worn for aesthetic’s sake. Leah chanced a look at (Y/n)’s face and was caught off guard by the determined fire blazing in her eyes. Then Leah’s attention was brought back to the table as (Y/n) furiously scratched the pencil against the paper and forcefully pushed her newly composed message in front of the sculptor, her other hand still rooted over Leah’s.
Leah read over the note and felt her heart ache with appreciative warmth. ‘You were brave enough to know what you wanted and even though it wasn’t easy, you went for it. That in itself is an amazing accomplishment that you should not take lightly. Your dream is not unfounded either, I’ve seen some of your sketches and paintings and I think you are very talented. Once you figure out how to put yourself out there you’ll have people begging you to take their money.’
Leah sniffed and smiled at (Y/n) appreciatively, turning her hand to reciprocate (Y/n)’s strong, yet gentle hold on her. “Thank you, (Y/n). I just wish I knew how to start.”
(Y/n) tapped her chin with the pencil as she thought. When she had an idea, she pulled the paper back to herself and wrote a suggestion.
“An art show? Oh, I don’t know (Y/n). It hardly seems possible.”
(Y/n) shook her head in disagreement and wrote more.
“You really think the town would want to help? Are you sure you want to help? You’ve got enough on your plate already with how busy the farm keeps you. I don’t want to impose.”
(Y/n) looked as if she had something to say, her throat bobbed and her lips twitched, but in the end she settled for the paper again, still too anxious to speak. After Leah had read the reply, she felt (Y/n)’s thumb rub against her knuckles and looked up. (Y/n) nodded, her expression serious. She wanted to help Leah with this.
“Thank you, (Y/n)!” Leah sniffled, holding back tears. She launched herself into (Y/n)’s arms and hugged the surprised farmer close. “Thank you so much!”
(Y/n) slowly returned the hug, smoothing one of her hands over Leah’s back in comforting motions. It was a bit of an awkward position with (Y/n) still sitting at the table and Leah hovering over her, but it felt nice.
“Sorry,” Leah chuckled after a moment, leaning back and wiping a stray tear from her eye, “I kind of caught you off guard with that didn’t I?”
(Y/n) shrugged and smiled good naturedly. A look came over her face as if she just remembered something and she stood up to grab her bag from the cottage entryway. She grinned when she found what she was looking for and made her way back to Leah, holding out a brown paper package to her.
“For me?” Leah asked. (Y/n) nodded and gestured for her to take it. Leah carefully unwrapped it and gasped. “(Y/n), is this goat cheese? I love this, how did you know?”
(Y/n) raised her hand, signing the letters ‘E’ ‘L’ ‘L’ ‘I’ ‘O’ ‘T’ ‘T’.
“Elliott hm?” Leah laughed, “I’m glad you two are getting along after the horseradish debacle.”
(Y/n) crossed her arms and stuck her nose up. She wasn’t looking back on the memory fondly.
“Hey, I’m with you on this one. He was being an ass. How could you have known he hated horseradish.”
(Y/n) nodded in agreement, one of her hands reaching out as if to say, ‘exactly’. She then noticed the time on Leah’s clock and signed that she had to go.
“I see.” Leah smiled sadly, trying not to let her disappointment shine through. “Good bye then, and (Y/n),” Leah signed ‘thank you’, very mindful of the position of her hands this time around, “seriously thank you for everything.”
(Y/n) beamed, giving Leah a thumbs up before heading out the door.

“I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Leah kept mumbling to herself while watching her fellow Pelican Townies set up her creations in the town square. There were already some tourists looking around and Leah felt her nerves fraying.
“Hang in there, kid. Everything looks great. Don’t worry so much.” Robin snuck up on Leah, making her jump. “It’s a beautiful summer day, don’t forget to enjoy it.”
“I’m trying, Robin. It’s just so much.” Leah said, nervously playing with her sleeve. Robin noticed Elliott walking up and motioned him to help deal with the artist while she went to help Demetrius move a heavy wooden sculpture.
“Come on now, Leah. Too late to back out now.” Elliott grinned, thumping her back. “(Y/n) seems especially excited by how things are progressing.”
Leah chanced a glance at (Y/n) and Maru putting up paintings between signing each other excitedly. The scene warmed her heart and her shoulders relaxed a bit.
“Yeah, okay. I’ll try.”
“Great, now let’s go woo some tourists.” Elliott said, wiggling his eyebrows.
“What? Elliott, no!” Leah shook her head.
“Not like that,” Elliott laughed, “I know your heart belongs to someone else. I just meant,” he looks around before whispering in Leah’s ear, “woo them out of their money.”
Leah laughed and pushed Elliott away. “Alright, you focus on the wooing and I’ll focus on explaining my thought processes.”
“That doesn’t sound as fun, but okay, this is your day.”
As Elliot and Leah made their way across the square, an unwelcome guest watched them from afar. Their blood boiled as they saw Leah pause at the makeshift painting gallery to give the farmer’s hand an affectionate squeeze.
***
“I can’t believe we sold so many!” Leah spoke in ecstatic disbelief as she waved at the last car she and (Y/n) had just loaded a heavy wooden sculpture into before it drove away. “This is crazy!”
(Y/n) wore a smile that matched Leah’s, happy to watch the sculptor bouncing in place. When Leah finally stilled, still giddy, she took both of (Y/n)’s hands in hers. Once again free of the gloves, the hands were pleasantly soft against her own and she relished in the feeling.
“(Y/n) I know it’s kind of late, but I have something I want to give to you. I left it at my house so I’m going to go get it. I’ll meet you at the farm, is that alright?”
(Y/n) stared at Leah, her curiosity piqued. She nodded, easily giving Leah the answer she was hoping for.
“Great! I’ll be there soon!” With one last squeeze of the farmer’s hands, she was off. (Y/n) heard the crack of a twig, but when she turned to investigate, nothing stood out so she made her way back to her farm to wait for Leah.
When Leah came up to the porch, (Y/n) had to do a double take at the big wooden statue she was lugging along. With one last huff of air, Leah placed the statue at the base of the steps and grinned up at (Y/n), wiping a bit of sweat from her brow.
“Thanks for waiting. It was a little more ah, heavy, than I expected.” Leah laughed sheepishly. “Come take a look.”
(Y/n) stepped off the porch and circled the piece, taking in every detail. Leah felt nervous butterflies fluttering in her stomach while she watched the farmer scrutinize the work and cleared her throat.
“I started working on it in the spring. I also incorporated some of that driftwood you gave me a few weeks ago. Anyway, I made it with you in mind. It’s called, ‘How I Feel about (Y/n)’ and I’d be honored if you would accept it as a gift for everything you’ve done for me.” Leah stared at her feet as she spoke, too embarrassed to keep her eyes on (Y/n) while she spoke. Then a pair of boots joined, hands came up to clasp her own, pulling the conjoined grasp into her line of vision and coaxing her to look up into (Y/n)’s eyes.
“It’s wonderful.”
At that moment, Leah thought her heart must have been beating so hard that it was affecting her hearing.
“Hh... huh?” Leah asked, rather dumbly.
(Y/n) swallowed thickly, took a deep breath, and whispered, “It’s wonderful, Leah. Thank you.”
Leah looked absolutely awestruck, purple irises shone with excitement and she laughed, pulling (Y/n) into a tight embrace.
“I’m glad you like it.” Leah sniffled, resting her face in (Y/n)’s shoulder.
“Leah?” (Y/n) wrapped her arms around the artist, it was only one word, her name, but Leah heard the concern in the farmer’s tone.
“I’m okay. I’m just happy,” Leah sniffled again, “I’m happy you felt comfortable enough with me to speak to me.”
“Me too.” (Y/n) whispered, holding Leah tighter.
The pair found it difficult when they had to part ways for the night, but they were equally excited over how their relationship was developing, looking forward to spending more time together over the summer.

“Come on, just a little further...” Leah coached herself. She was reaching for a piece of fruit hanging from a branch just out of her reach.
She had planned a picnic with (Y/n) for this afternoon. She had already set up under the big old tree near the pond and as she waited for (Y/n) to finish up with her crops and animals for the morning, when she spotted the unusual fruit. Now she was jumping and stretching for the fruit just out of reach.
“Almost— Ah!” Leah struggled to balance herself in the air, swiveling her head to peak over her shoulder, she saw (Y/n) looking up at her with a mischievous grin. Leah rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at the side of her lips. She turned back to the task at hand and grabbed the fruit, motioning (Y/n) to put her back down.
“Show off.” Leah scoffed, lightly punching (Y/n)’s shoulder. “You wanna try a bite?”
“Yes, please.” (Y/n)’s cheeks heated when Leah pressed the fruit to her lips. She took a bite of the offering, savoring the taste. “It’s so sweet.” She said, amazed.
“Right?” Leah smiled, “It’s rare to get fruit from this tree. Usually all the animals snap it all up as soon as they’re ripe, but it seems they miss some from time to time. How is everything with the farm this morning?”
“All is well,” (Y/n) nodded as the pair made themselves comfortable on the blanket Leah had set up, “I would have been here sooner but the goats kept standing in front of my cheese and mayo machines, the chicken coup too. Made it a little difficult.” (Y/n) disclosed. “Which reminds me,” she rummaged through her bag, “goat cheese salads.”
“Mmm, this looks heavenly. Thank you for making these.” Leah said, eagerly stirring in some vinaigrette into the generous fresh salad.
“No problem. Selling my harvest is nice, but it feels so much more rewarding enjoying it like this.” (Y/n) informed, mixing her own salad.
“I can imagine,” Leah hummed and leaned her back fully against the trunk of the tree, “Ah, it’s such a lovely day for this.”
“Mhmm.”
They ate the rest of their meal in peaceful silence, listening to the birds sing and the fish leap, the breeze rustling the trees and grass around them. It was tranquil, it was perfect.
“Hey, Leah,” (Y/n) spoke, breaking the silence.
“Yes?” Leah asked, turning her gaze away from the sketch pad she had brought out.
“It’s almost Fall you know, we’ve known each other for nearly two whole seasons. Half a year, it’s crazy, right?”
“Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, doesn’t it?” Leah giggled, “What made you think of that?”
“Well, I wanted to ask you something. Don’t feel like you have to answer one way or the other, but...” (Y/n) paused, trying to gather her thoughts.
“Hey, it’s okay (Y/n). You can tell me anything. Sign it out if you want to.”
“No, it’s okay. I’m just nervous,” (Y/n) turned to her bag and pulled out a lovely bouquet of flowers, “Leah, would you maybe consider being my girlfriend?“
“Yes!” Leah enveloped (Y/n) in a tackle like hug that sent them both to fully meet the ground, accidentally crushing the flowers between their bodies, “Oops, sorry,” Leah wiggled the flowers out from under her to look at them more closely, “these are lovely, (Y/n). I didn’t know Pierre had these in yet.”
“He didn’t, I planted them.” (Y/n) clarified, smiling up at Leah who still hovered over her, giggling.
“Of course you did, you’re so sweet.”
“I try.”
“Are you kidding me!”
Leah and (Y/n) quickly turned to face the disturbance, scrambling to sit up from their compromising position. Leah felt her stomach twist with discomfort seeing Kel of all people marching up to them, absolutely fuming.
“Seriously, what the hell, Leah?” Kel yelled, their hands clenched into tight fists as they closed in, making yard after yard disappear between them.
“No, more like what the hell, Kel? I broke up with you seasons ago. What are you even doing in Pelican Town?” Leah retorted angrily, as (Y/n) helped her to her feet. Kel watched the motion and ground their teeth.
They were already dangerously close to crossing the threshold of the blanket and that small display was enough to send them stomping over the edge.
“I came for you, obviously! I’ve been slumming it in that dusty old saloon since your art show, waiting to talk to you! Now I find you sucking face with some country bumpkin nobody!” They seethed, stepping even closer into Leah’s personal space until (Y/n) pulled Leah back behind her, making Kel even more incensed. “You stay out of this. I’m talking to Leah!”
(Y/n) held strong, stuck between the harsh obscenities attacking her from the front and the loving affirmations defending her from behind. She held her arm out, willing Kel to stay back as she slowly started to guide Leah back in the direction of town for help. Kel ignored the warning and followed after them.
“Don’t you have anything to say for yourself? You think you’re being some kind of hero right now?” Kel seethed.
(Y/n) stayed silent, she had gone mute again and who would blame her in the face of such a tense situation? She was so very uncomfortable, scared even, but she continued on passed Marnie’s since she knew the woman wasn’t home at this time and she sure wasn’t going to expose Jas to this. Jodi’s house was their next best bet.
“Hey, you obviously want to start something here. You’ve got something to say to me?” Kel continued forward.
“Kel, leave us alone!” Leah commanded, “It’s over, it’s been over, go home!”
“You think you’re too good to talk to me?” Kel yelled, ignoring Leah. “She’s just a whore. She just latched onto the first warm body she could find after her little meltdown. You’re not special.”
(Y/n) froze stiffly in place, Leah felt the muscles on her shoulders tense so she tried to pull on her arm to keep her moving.
“Ignore them, (Y/n). Let’s focus on getting to town, okay?” Leah pleaded. But (Y/n) gently pushed off Leah’s hands and took a step towards Kel with a cold glare. Leah stepped to stand beside (Y/n)’s side, nervous that a more serious confrontation was about to unfold.
“Well?” Kel spat.
(Y/n) crossed her arms, turning her head to look at Leah. The look on her face was all the communication Leah needed to understand. It was definitely a, ‘they better back off or I’m going to knock them off their block’ face. Leah had never known (Y/n) to be particularly violent, but with all the time she spent in the mines, she had no doubt that she could take care of herself.
Leah gasped when Kel suddenly roared, lunging forward. Apparently they had not liked how (Y/n) and Leah had been paying attention to each other rather than themself. Kel had rocketed forward and aimed to punch (Y/n) hard over her cheek, however, at the last moment, Leah pushed her aside and took the blow for her.
(Y/n) inhaled sharply and caught Leah as she stumbled back, noticing how blood immediately began gushing from Leah’s now broken nose.
“Ow- AH!” Leah cried, her hands muffled her voice since she had covered her nose and mouth.
It only took a second for (Y/n) to return the favor to Kel’s stunned face. She punched them fast and hard over their cheek, but Kel was quick to fight back and now it was a full out brawl.
“What’s going on, we heard yelling— holy shit!”
Leah turned away from the fight to see Sam, Seb, and Abigail running up on the scene.
“(Y/n)’s throwing hands!” Abigail yelled, sounding way more excited than worried.
“Leah are you okay? What’s going on?” Sebastian asked, noting the concerning amount of blood running down Leah’s arms and the front of her shirt.
“Don’t worry about me, stop them!” Leah winced, taking one hand away from her face to motion to her ex and her new girlfriend still going at each other.
“Damn, Abi! Go get your dad and Harvey too by the looks of it!” Sam yelled, he seemed to be looking for an opening to push the fighters apart.
“Are you kidding? You get my dad, I’m getting in on this!” Abigail cheered and ran up to jump on Kel’s back like she was at a rodeo while (Y/n) landed a good hit on Kel’s stomach. “Nice punch, (Y/n)!”
“Oh Yoba, Sam, start running.” Seb suggested, trying to help Leah with her nose. He was no Maru, but even he knew how to set a broken nose. Especially within the first couple weeks of Sam taking up skateboarding.
“Right!” Sam ran off back into town screaming. A few tense minutes later and Pierre, Caroline, Robin, Elliott, Maru and Harvey came running behind Sam to break up the fight.
“Abigail, stop!” Pierre huffed, pulling off his daughter and passing her off to his wife, “I taught you what I did to defend yourself, not to lash out like a wild animal!” He grunted, pulling Kel into his grasp and trapping their arms behind their back with Elliott coming up to assist.
“Come on dad, I was helping a friend! What’s the big deal?” Abi groaned, while her mom fretted over her, looking for injuries.
“Easy there kid, it’s over.” Robin coaxed (Y/n), pulling her back. The farmer slumped over in the carpenter’s hold, breathing heavily.
“Is (Y/n) okay? Ah!” Leah hissed as Harvey touched up her nose, giving her a nasal spray before wedging a couple wads of tissue up her nostrils.
“Sorry, Leah.” Harvey sympathized, “Maru is going to check up on her now.”
“What about me?” Kel hissed. Pierre had them resting on their knees. They looked really roughed up. A black eye was already forming and scratches and bruises littered their skin, they were also holding their stomach rather tightly.
“You’ll just have to wait a minute.” Elliott frowned, staring down at the stranger with contempt.
“Don’t you have any police officers in this backwater town? I’ll sue every one of you for withholding care to someone who is obviously hurt!” Kel threatened, grinding their teeth.
“Oh, the police are coming alright!”  Caroline spoke indignantly. “You are in no position to be asking for anything right now, bringing violence to our community, you should be ashamed!”
“(Y/n) can you look up for me, please.” Maru asked, carefully tilting (Y/n)’s chin up. (Y/n) sucked in a breath when Maru touched her bruised jaw a tad to hard. “Sorry, Your jaw is bruised pretty badly. Your bottom lip split too. How is your vision?”
(Y/n) shook her head and winced, cradling her head in her hands.
“Okay, possible concussion. We’ll need to observe her at the clinic.” Maru said.
“Alright, come on bruiser,” Robin grunted, heaving (Y/n) to her feet, “Sebbie, help me walk her into town please.”
“Sure mom.” Seb took (Y/n)’s other side.
(Y/n) patted Robin’s arm, motioning her to wait. She slowly turned to Kel and leaned more heavily against Seb as she freed her other arm from Robin to snap her fingers aggressively, looking for Kel’s attention. Once Kel looked up at her, sneering from their spot in the dirt, (Y/n) turned briefly to make sure Leah was watching. When she saw that she was, she smiled as if to say, ‘watch this,’ and turned back to Kel. (Y/n) brought her flat, angled hand below her chin and sent it forward in the direction of Kel’s confused, but no less, pissed face.
“Oh ho! (Y/n) is such a badass!” Abigail laughed.
“Abi, since when do you know sign language?” Sam asked, clearly confused.
“I don’t, but I’ve spent enough time searching curses in different languages to know that was totally a ‘fuck you’. Personally I think a middle finger approach would have been an appropriate classic myself but whatever.” Abigail shrugged.
“Abigail, language!” Caroline scolded.
“Sorry mom.”
“Alright, you’ve had your fun. Clinic, now.” Robin tried to hold in a laugh as she repositioned (Y/n)’s arm over her shoulder. Then she and Seb began walking (Y/n) back into town.
Leah made to follow, but as they were leaving, the police from the the next town over had arrived and they needed her statements as a witness. Never mind that she was covered in her own blood and her girlfriend was being dragged away to the clinic with a concussion. Once the officers were satisfied, they took Kel away with promises to be back for (Y/n)’s statement and to see if any charges would be made. For now they were just going to take Kel back to a hospital in Zuzu City since they may have broken a rib or two in the fight. After that, they were going to be free to go.
Leah wasn’t too worried. She didn’t think Kel would come back after the beating (Y/n) and Abigail gave them. She watched the police car drive out of Cindersaps, taking her disgruntled ex away.
“Leah, I’m sure you want to get to the clinic but you should really clean up first.” Caroline had said patting the younger woman’s back. “(Y/n) will be fine.”
“Yeah, Harvey and Maru got her. Take some time to process.” Elliott smiled.
Leah could only nod tiredly. She trudged over to her cottage to shower and change. She still couldn’t believe how quickly things got out of hand. She looked at her bandaged nose in the mirror, hissing when she gingerly touched the bridge of it. She was wary of Seb setting it himself, but Harvey said he had gone a great job. Once she was physically put back together, Leah quickly made her way to the clinic.
“Where is she?” She asked immediately upon arriving. She sounded a little congested thanks to her clogged nose, but she was easily understood. Robin was still in the waiting room and filled her in.
“Harvey and Maru are talking her through concussion care. She’s okay, but I don’t think she’ll be allowed to work for awhile.”
“Oh no,” Leah sat down, resting her elbows on her knees and covered her eyes with her hands, “This is all my fault.”
“Aw, don’t say that sweetheart. You know that’s not true.” Robin frowned, taking a seat beside her, “(Y/n) would hate to hear you think like that.”
“(Y/n) loves her farm! If she can’t maintain the upkeep...” Leah continued, teary eyed, only to be silenced by Robin.
“I’m going to stop you right there. Nothing is going to happen to the farm. Abi, Sam, and even Seb already told (Y/n) in no uncertain terms that they were going to pitch in while she recovers. Everything is going to be taken care of.” Robin assured.
“Still none of this would have happened if-“
“If you hadn’t broken up with your ex? Moved to Pelican Town? Got a crush? Leah, you can’t punish yourself for moving on with your life. You’re allowed to be happy.” Robin chided gently. “It was hard for me and Sebastian’s father to see eye to eye at the best of times. Now I have Demetrius and although he can be a bit annoying sometimes with his tomato bullshit, not a day goes by that I’m not grateful I took that first step because I love him.” Robin smiled.
Leah’s nose hurt like hell as she tried to carefully wipe the tears from her eyes and Robin rubbed her back affectionately. Once Leah had calmed down, Robin stood and stretched.
“She’s been wondering where you are. The doc is keeping her for overnight observation, but your welcome to stay with her. I on the other hand, am apparently too old for this much excitement and need to go home.”
“Thank you Robin, for talking to me.”
“Anytime,” Robin grinned, “now go get her.”
Leah made her way into the back area of the clinic and nearly ran up to Harvey, Maru, and (Y/n). (Y/n) was signing to Maru while she relayed the information to Harvey as he examined (Y/n)’s well being.
(Y/n) was relieved to see Leah and eagerly motioned her to come sit on the edge of the bed she was sitting in which Leah did happily.
“Leah, how’s the nose?” Harvey asked while he finished up (Y/n)’s chart.
“It’s fine. Just, really sore and tingly.”
“So not fine.” Maru chuckled. “I’ll get you some pain meds.”
“Ah, thanks Maru.” Leah smiled sheepishly.
“Well, Ms. (Y/n),” Harvey sighed, turning his attention back to the farmer, “you and I are in for a long night. I’ll be waking you up every hour to check your pupils to see if your condition changes at all.” Harvey stood and stretched, “Ms. Leah, feel welcome to stay as long as you like. It can’t hurt to keep an extra pair of eyes on her.”
“I could stay overtime, Harvey.” Maru said as she came back with two pills and a glass of water for Leah.
“I seem to recall you talking about a time sensitive experiment this morning.” Harvey recalled, making Maru smack the side of her head. “You’re right! I got to go now! Good night everyone!” Maru called behind her as she rushed out to the waiting room then out of the building.
“I’m going to take the first of my many naps lined up for tonight. I’ll see you ladies in about an hour. Try to get some rest.” Harvey said before leaving to walk up the stairs to his apartment.
Finally Leah and (Y/n) were alone again. (Y/n) sunk down into the covers and sighed deeply. She turned to face Leah, concerning the sculptor by how small she looked.
“You’re not too upset with me, are you?” (Y/n) asked, surprising Leah.
“I’m not upset with you. Why would I be upset with you?”
“I just beat the crap out a person. Sure they are your ex, but you cared about them at some point so it must have been hard to watch. I can’t imagine what you must think of me now.” (Y/n) whispered, she was so quiet Leah had to lean closer and even then she was straining to hear.
“(Y/n), I like you. Nothing that happened today changed how much I like you. It certainly didn’t make me like you any less,” Leah rested her hand over (Y/n)’s cheek, “Kel made their choice when they decided to come to Pelican Town and confront us. I wish it hadn’t gone down the way it did, but that’s not our fault. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“I’m glad you’re okay too. I was worried.”
“I wish we could start this day all over,” Leah moaned, “First day as official girlfriends and we get into a fist fight.”
(Y/n) laughed lightly, closing her eyes to combat the pain that came from her jostling. “Abigail thought it was a pretty great date activity.”
“She would think that.” Leah rolled her eyes, “she also eats rocks.”
“Well, think about it this way. Until I’m allowed to take up all my farming duties again, you can do whatever you want with me.”
“Whatever I want, hmm?” Leah tapped her lips with her index finger, “would it be to forward if me to ask for a kiss?”
“You may, just be careful with my split lip. I won’t be able to explain what happened to Harvey if you make it worse.” (Y/n) said.
“One gentle kiss, coming right up.” Leah wiggled on the bed’s stiff hospital sheets until she laid face to face with (Y/n). Their lips met in a soft brushing that was almost ghost like, but rather than leaving them with a chill, warmth bloomed between them.
“Wow.” (Y/n) grinned.
“If you thought that was good, wait until I can get more involved with it.”
“So confident. I like it.” (Y/n) squinted, “could you turn the light off? It’s really starting to hurt my eyes.”
“Of course.” Leah got up and switched off the half the lights to keep their side of the room in darkness but allow Harvey to still be able to see when he came back.
“Now come cuddle, please.” (Y/n) asked sleepily reaching her arms out.
“Nothing would make me happier.”
Leah kicked off her boots and shimmied under the sheets to join (Y/n) and wrapped her arms around her. Leah let the exhaustion of the day roll over her and she had nearly let sleep claim her before her eyes shot open and she propped herself up on her elbow to lean over (Y/n).
“Did I really sign a ‘fuck you’ when we first met?!” She asked, appalled.
(Y/n)’s response was to laugh sleepily into Leah’s chest.

BOOK EMOJI BOOK BOOK BOOK BOOK
VEE LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT MY BELOVED ARISTOCATS AU - technically ive written scenes for it but ive not actually written the fic so i think it still counts
okay so it's sokka as duchess, zuko as thomas o'malley and katara, aang and toph as the kittens!!!!
so they still have a sort of fancy estate but it's a farm instead of a mansion?? but it's like. a Good Farm. idk how to explain it but proper farms with livestock and crops are lowkey for rich-ish people bc the maintenance and shit is Expensive anyway im off topic now
so Hakoda is talking to Bato one day about who he wants to leave the farm too, and naturally he says his kids bc obviously??? but HAHN (fucker) who is like. sort of the head of the staff is Mad bc for some reason he had this weird twisted notion that the farm should go to him because he's the oldest and he's Hakoda's nephew (idk man) so he's like "nah fuck that im gonna kidnap them" and then he does bc he's nothing if not dedicated to evil schemes so he oh-so-innocently offers to help Kanna prepare lunch and he spikes it with tranqs to knock them out and then just kind of chucks them in the back of the farm ute bc he's dedicated but bad at executing the plans
anyway so his idea is to drive the however many hours to the coast to stuff them in a cargo ship but the dude doesnt even make it a quarter of the way before his tires get taken out by a spike trap that was laid out by Jet and his Freedom fighters who are just a group of kids who live in a windmill and only really turn to thievery when they're desperate (or bored enough) and anyway theres that whole fuckery of hahn being like "fuck off??" and jet being like "no gimme your car keys" but its a little more chaotic and violent and in the drama of it all guess who just... slips off the back of the ute?? correct: hahns kidnapping victims
anyway so the gang wake up in the morning like "wait a fucking minute-" and sokka's lowkey freaking out bc he's the oldest and therefore the responsible one and toph is like "IT WAS HAHN" and katara and aang are like "well that doesnt sound right" and that's when zuko, who is singing like thomas does bc i said so, just appears, balancing on the bridge railing and then he sees sokka and he's like "oh. hello there?"
and then zuko, after a big ol' internal fight with himself bc "Ugh he doesnt WANT to help these random strangers but Aang and Katara seem so earnest and Toph is weirdly compelling in a gremlin sort of way and Sokka's cute", decides to help them find their way home
anyway so the usual stuff happens
they illegally hitch a ride on the back of a dairy truck then get caught and chased away
toph falls off the train bridge and zuko dives in after her
they meet the "geese" who this time is just Aunt Wu and that herbalist who told Aang to get the frozen frogs for Sokka and Katara that one time and ive decided to call her Miyu bc i know her cats name is Miyuki but you never really learn the actual Herbalists name and anyway yeah they rescue zuko's dumbass when he cant get out of the river
hahn realises he's going to need to steal his stuff back from Jet before the police find it and figure out that he's the one who kidnapped Hakodas kids- EXCEPT SUKI (roquefort/the farm hand) AND JIN (frou-frou/stable hand) overheard him talking to himself about it and they're like "it was HIM we have to stop him"
the gaang says goodbye to Aunt Wu and Miyu in town, and zuko takes them to the abandoned loft that he lives in so they can sleep and keep going in the morning
the classic "looks like scat cat and his gang of alley cats are here" except it's azula, mai and ty lee and azula's lowkey this little mad scientist who is also an excellent electrician who finally decided to fix zuko's power
so they all meet and mingle and become somewhat friends
THE CLASSIC "wow, your eyes are like sapphires" SCENE THAT INSPIRED THE WHOLE AU
alas the gaang returns home despite sokkas heart firmly belonging to zuko, who stands at the gate and watches them go until they reach the porch
they see suki in the top window and think she's waving at them, but right at the last minute sokka remembers that suki only ever comes inside to pester them, otherwise she's out working on the farm so what was she doing upstairs in the only lockable room??
*evil music* hahn knocks them out as soon as they get inside and ties them up and stuffs them in the barn and locks it
jin manages to shimmy out of the window bc she's smaller than suki and it always gets stuck half way, and tries to get into the barn but sokka manages to get his gag off and yells at her to find zuko
she fins him and then HE tells her to run into town and find Azula, and then he says "but say Zuko sent you or she might tase you" and jins like "SHE'LL WHAT??" anyway she goes and finds them and azula almost tases her bc jin cant remember zukos fucking name but then she's like "oh fuck zuko for this honestly" and then azulas like "oh wait okay whats going?"
so then azula and everyone run to the barn to find the zuko has managed to break it open (of course) and is now in the middle of punching Hahn and then EVERYONE is fighting hahn bc fuck him but while that's happening zuko unties the gaang and he and sokka kiss (finally lol) and then they all knock hahn out and stuff HIM in the crate he was going to stuff the gaang into
and then yeah hakoda finds out about everything and hes like "what the fuck" but zuko and his sister are welcomed into the family and azula and jin totally fall in love while azula is fixing the lights in the barn bc it takes ages bc they're old and she decides to just replace everything and re-do the wiring bc she's a perfectionist
anyway it's something they laugh about when they're older but at the moment zuko can't let any of them out of his sight and the kids all share a bed and they all have to watch kanna make their food or do it themselves otherwise they can't eat it bc i'm incapable of not exploring characters trauma after traumatic events (:

dragon kiri and barbarian baku rescue princess s/o from evil father (possible sexual abuse?) UwU? (kiri x baku x reader)
The Journey Begins
pairing: barberian!bakugou x princess!reader x dragon!kirishima
word count: 1k
warnings: mentions of sexual abuse, fantasy au, bakugou being soft, swearing, kiri being adorable
A/N: thank you for submitting! i hope this is what you wanted or close to it
Tumblr media
“Princess! Princess, wake up!”
Warm, calloused hands gripped your shoulder and shook you in a crude attempt to rouse you from your slumber, but eventually stopped when a hiss from another to ‘shut up’ and ‘stop being so rough’ made him stop.
You groaned softly, the stiffness in your leg muscles causing you to wince as you tried to sit up, rubbing the crust of sleep from your eyes.
“Morning princess!” Came Kirishima’s happy voice; you could nearly hear the huge smile on his face and you hadn’t even opened your eyes yet.
“It’s the middle of the night Shittyhair.” Chastised his blonde companion, the deep tones of his voice making you shudder and finally lay eyes on your two best friends in the world standing next to your bed.
In all honesty, they were much more than ‘best friends.’ Do best friends take turns french kissing you by a river under the moonlight? Do best friends sleep snuggled up on either side when you have a nightmare about your father? The list goes on, but you were pretty sure you could call them boyfriends if you really wanted to. Both meant the absolute world to you and you couldn’t imagine a life without them.
Kirishima Eijirou, a dragon-human hybrid who had been cast away by society after his mother was stoned to death for fraternizing and breeding with ‘that horrid species.’ You’d never find a kinder or happier soul though, in fact, at this very moment the precious boy was sitting on the floor, muscular arms resting on the edge of your mattress, chin on his large, scaly hands, and big, expressive eyes trained on you like you were his favorite thing on the planet (which was very possible).
But the icing on the cake was his thick, red dragon’s tail. It wagged back and forth like a dog happy to reunite with its owner.
Behind him, a young barbarian gone rogue from his clan, stood Bakugou Katsuki, stony-faced but eyes alight with pride while your eyes raked over his breathtaking form; bared chest and slim, muscled waist, powerful shoulders, not to mention the mouth-watering, bulging biceps on either arm which flexed and rippled every time his thick, calloused fingers drummed on his forearm.
You carded manicured fingers through Kirishima’s mop of spiky red hair and he made a sound close to a purr, almost a growl, but the way his eyes rolled back in his head as you stoked his chin made you giggle, happier than you had been for quite a while.
The blonde clicked his tongue in annoyance as he watched his idiot best friend try to flop onto the bed so you would keep stroking his head, but before he could get comfy he tugged Kirishima back by the collar so he sat on the ground instead of his rightful place in your lap.
“Later.” He murmured after receiving an angry noise from below, “We need to focus and get her out of here before that asswipe comes looking for her again. Look at her dumbass, she’s still shaking!”
“N-No I’m not!” You huff, pushing the cotton sheets away and attempting to stand, but considering the events from only hours ago, your legs were so sore you could hardly move.
You cried out in pain as your legs failed you, but Bakugou caught you before you could crumple to the floor and Kirishima was on his feet in a moment to help get you back on the bed.
“This is why we need to get you out now.” Bakugou snarled, “What the hell did that bastard do to you?”
Your bottom lip juts out and you twist your hands into the blankets as the events of the evening came rushing back, as well as a bout of fresh tears rolling down your cheeks.
“The usual.” You whisper, a contemptuous, disgusted, edge to your shaky voice while fisting your blankets tightly, “B-But it was a lot longer this time. I can’t even move without wanting to scream. I-I’m sorry this had to happen before you guys were g-gonna get me out of this horrible place… I j-just make everything worse and him using me doesn’t-”
“Hey-” Kirishima interrupts, “None of this is your fault, understand? Your father is a disgusting swine who thinks it’s ok to sexually abuse his only daughter and then leave her to waste away all alone. But you have me and Suki and we’re not gonna let that happen, ok?”
“Yeah, and once you’re with us you won’t have to worry about shit ever again. We’ll protect you.” Bakugou murmured, rough hands cupping your face and pressing a gentle kiss to your trembling lips.
What had you done to deserve them?
You nod tearfully and reach out for the barbarian to lift you into his arms, which he gladly scoops you up against his broad chest, his natural warmth flooding your scattered senses and allowing you a moment of relaxation while the dragon boy tugged the cotton sheets from your bed and wrapped a few changes of clothes for you inside it, along with your treasured necklace and a few bags of the allowance money you never spent from a dusty corner of your room.
Bakugou was already on his way out the window they’d entered through, sliding down the shingles, running along the marble molding of the castle roof until he reached a rope. After sliding down, he dashed into the forest until the castle was almost out of sight, but not quite. Soon, Kirishima leaped from the roof, caught the rope and slid down, the bundle over his shoulder and he joined the pair of you catching your breath behind a large shrub and Bakugou was busying himself with wrapping you snugly in his cranberry red cape, the fur-lined collar tickling your throat while you complained that he would be cold.
He ignored your pestering and picked you up again, nodding to Kirishima.
“Your life begins now,” Kirishima smiled gently, ruffling your bedhead, “You ready?”
Bakugou snorted at his insufferable optimism, but couldn’t help the smile that tugged on his features when you snuggled closer to him and let out a deep sigh of relief.
“We gotta find a cave to sleep in that’s far enough away first.” He mumbled.

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
When Olivia was just a kid, her grandfather used to joke about how she would grow up to become a historian because her memory was amazing, and she believed him. Until she realized that she had an excellent memory only when it came to things that matter to her or that made her the young woman she was now. She remembered meeting her current best friend on April 7th,four years ago. She knew her heart got broken for the first time on March 31st when she was only fifteen, it was a Monday, and she didn’t cry because she needed to get through her classes. Or how she lost a piece of herself when her grandpa died when she was just five years old on May 31st.
She unlocked her phone and felt her heart get a little bit heavier when she saw the date on the screen:
August 26.
Four years ago, when they both were eighteen, things were easier for sure, at least for Charlie. Olivia wasn’t doing bad either but seeing her childhood best friend kiss another girl in front of her wasn’t something she enjoyed. How could someone watch the person they’ve loved for years kiss someone else and not feel like they were getting their heart crushed little by little?
They spent the day with their friends, celebrating Charlie’s last birthday near the river before he moved to Toronto to pursue his acting career a week later. Olivia could still remember how happy he looked sitting next to the bonfire; his arms wrapped around his then- girlfriend laughing about something his friend had said. Sat just across from them, giving the couple and herself some space, she knew her heart was going to break again that night. And it did because he ditched her at the end of the night when he was supposed to make sure she got home safely just like he promised her parents he would.
She remembered how scared she felt walking back home in the dark by herself even when she knew their neighbourhood was safe and she wasn’t far from her house. But she was terrified of darkness and Charlie was the only one in their group of friends that knew it. Olivia cursed his name over and over again for putting her in that position, for leaving her alone, and thinking about the reason made her feel sick. Of course, she knew why he left without telling her but admitting it out loud wasn’t something she was willing to do.
Her phone vibrated in her hand and she rubbed her eyes, making her put that memory away. It was her mother letting her know that their flight had just landed, and they were ready for their two weeks in the Caribbean.
“Seems like it’s gonna be just us, Peanut,” she whispered to the black dog curled up next to her on the couch. Scratching the dog’s belly, she turned her attention back to the TV where Meryl Streep was singing Money, Money, Money.
Her stomach growled, remembering that she barely had eaten something and it was already dinner time.
Noises outside her house caught her attention, they sounded a lot like laughs, instead of making her way to the kitchen, she went to the closest window and peeked outside just enough for her heart to drop.
He was there laughing without a care in the world, his hair falling back in messy waves that her fingers suddenly needed to touch.
Closing the curtains before her neighbors could see her, she wiped furiously the lonely tear that managed to escape from her eyes before it could leave a trail down her cheek.
What was he doing here? He was supposed to be in Los Angeles, not here. She made sure not to be in town whenever she thought he could come back, spending numerous mother’s days somewhere else, or making sure she wasn’t home for his mother’s birthday. Christmas was easier because her entire family gathered up in her grandma’s house every single year. But he never came back to their hometown for his birthday, until this year.
The anger she felt after his birthday four years ago came back like an earthquake, making her body tremble with the feeling she kept bottled up for so long.
It wasn’t just the fact that Charlie left her on her own when he promised to take her back home. He didn’t apologize the day after for leaving her alone or the day after that one. Hell, he didn’t try to talk to her that entire week and when the week came to its end, he just left, not even saying goodbye to her.
Charlie moved out and never looked back. As if he completely forgot about the girl that was his best friend since they both were eight years old. The same girl that stood up for him whenever the mean guys at their school made fun of him for not getting the part after his first couple auditions. The same girl he spent so many summers playing with, countless winters playing in the snow with her until they felt like their fingers were beyond frozen.
That was what she was hurt and mad about. He forgot about her existence and all the memories they ever made together. And Olivia couldn’t do the same because even if she hated to admit it, she still loved him, maybe not like she used to, but she still had love to give to the boy standing outside the house she used to spend so much of her free time when she was younger.
And because the universe was against her, the dog ran towards the front door, barking at it and letting her know that she wanted to go out for a walk.
“We can’t go now, baby,” she shushed Peanut, but the small dog didn’t try to pay attention to her words and kept barking and spinning in excitement. She wanted to go out now and not even a treat would make her change her mind, “you are so stubborn, Pea.”
Peanut was a small dog, but her barks were resonating all over the house, breaking the silence and she knew it was about time someone came and ringed the doorbell to make sure everything was alright. A fast exit, that was what she needed, she could put her earbuds on and pretend she was going for a run, give them a small nod if they still were outside and get out of there as fast as she could.
She put her sneakers on, put on some music, opened the door, and tugged lightly on the dog leash to make her dog walk. Not looking at the people standing in the driveway was a difficult task, because she never stopped greeting the rest of the Gillespie family. How could she? It wasn’t their fault that her friendship with Charlie went to shit.
“Hey!” Meghan called her and turning her head slowly she nodded at them and pointed to her earbuds as if she were on the phone.
Charlie looked at her and realized she was avoiding his eyes, not even acknowledging his presence. Looking at the way her features had changed, turning her into a beautiful young woman, the childish features were long gone, which let him know how long it has been since the last time he saw her in person.  Her long light brown hair was now up to her shoulders and a few shades lighter. Watching her walk away made his heart ache in a way he didn’t feel since he moved out.
“I didn’t know the Gibson still lived here.” The words came out loud enough for his sister to listen to what he said, and she punched him in the arm.
“She made sure to be out of town every time you came home, dumbass,” making a grimace he nodded, not wanting to talk about the subject, “I still don’t understand what happened between you guys, you were really good friends, and I was sure you liked her as more than a friend.”
He rolled his eyes, knowing damn well Meghan wasn’t going to just drop it, “it’s none of your business.”
“My guess is you told her you liked her, and she rejected you,” Patrick said with a knowing look on his face. Charlie snorted and shook his head.
“Again,” he warned, “drop it, guys.” His brother held his hand up and went inside, leaving him alone with his younger sister.
“All I’m gonna say is you should try to not mess with her, Charlie,” Meghan held him by his arm, making sure he was paying attention to her word, “it was awful to see how sad and broken she was when you left and I know you said it’s none of my business, but I was her friend too and she pushed me away for whatever the fuck happened between you two.”
“I won’t, Meg,” he promised, guiding her inside so Olivia didn’t have to see him once she came back. But if he was being honest, he didn’t want to see the pain in her face she failed to hide when she saw him standing next to Meghan.
Sprinting back to her house, Olivia let out a sigh of relief when she saw that Charlie wasn’t outside anymore. She didn’t really know how to feel, sure she felt as angry as she did four years ago but seeing Charlie in person after so long brought a feeling she didn’t know how to describe. And of course, she wasn’t blind and knew that he looked even better than he did before he left, so that didn’t really help her situation.
Looking back to his house one last time, she caught him in the window, and he gave her a small smile she didn’t return. Instead, she unlocked the front door and slammed it shut. If Charlie thought that she would act as if nothing happened, he was wrong. Not even his smile could erase how betrayed she felt.
After a long early walk with Peanut the next day, she hoped she wouldn’t have to go out and run into Charlie again. The feeling that he was going to try and approach her the next time they ran into each other gave her goosebumps. Olivia knew that talking things out would make her feel a lot better, but she wasn’t ready to do it. He would want to know why she was so angry and hurt and that meant she would have to tell him she used to be in love with him and how betrayed she felt when he left without apologizing, leaving behind their friendship as if it meant absolutely nothing to him.
With an iced tea in one hand and a book in the other, she made herself comfortable in the hammock her father hanged every summer. Peanut was trying to catch her tail and the only noise Olivia could hear were the birds above her.
She lost track of time and Peanut’s barks brought her back to reality. Crouched in her garden was Charlie, trying to get the black dog to stay put so he could pet her, but she was too excited to see someone and was running around him and barking.
“What are you doing here?” her voice came out hoarse, her body too tense with Charlie just a few feet away.
“I wanted to say hi,” he responded without looking at her and still trying to pet Peanut.
“Peanut come here,” Olivia commanded, and the little dog ran up to her owner, “you need to leave.”
“C’mon, Liv,” Charlie stood up and looked at her with puppy eyes, “I just wanna talk.”
“Olivia,” she corrected him and picked up her dog, “you need to leave now.”
“Why?” he demanded to know once he saw her walking towards the door. She turned around stunned by his audacity.
“You have no right to be here, Charlie,” he raised his eyebrows, taken back at her harsh answer, “you don’t get to call me Liv or come into my house so I’m telling you again. Leave. Now.”
“Just listen to me, please,” Olivia shook her head and went inside, slamming the door behind her.
She was able to take a couple of steps away from the door when she had to kneel, feeling like she was about to pass out, her heart pounding fast in her chest and her lungs barely being able to hold air inside them. Peanut licked her face trying to calm her down, but the tears kept falling down her cheeks.
“Liv, please.” Charlie’s voice sounded worried on the other side of the door. “Let me in.” A whimpering sound came out of her mouth and the next thing she heard was the door being open.
She wished Charlie’s embrace could comfort her and calm her down, but she kept crying into her hands. Her heart too fragile now that Charlie was everywhere, his smell, his touch, and his voice were too much for her.
Charlie picked her up and took her to her bedroom. A strong feeling of nostalgia took over him when he saw the room hadn’t changed much, probably because she also moved out and moved on with her life after he left.
“I’ll get you a glass of water and then I’m gonna leave, I promise.” A scoff was all he received.
“As if you knew how to keep one,” she muttered with bitterness when she heard him leave her room.
He placed a glass of water on her nightstand, “do you want me to call my sister to keep you company?” she shook her head and closed her eyes too tired to keep fighting against him.
“Are you feeling better?” Charlie asked again and wiped a tear from Olivia’s cheek with his thumb. With a small nod, she turned her back to him. “Liv, I really wanna talk.”
“Stop calling me Liv, please.” The mattress shifted when Charlie sat beside her, not wanting to leave yet.
“I’ve never called you Olivia.”
“Charlie.” Her voice sounded raspy and incredibly tired and he couldn’t help but feel guilty for making her feel like that. “I really need you to leave me alone and let me get my shit together. Please.”
“Right,” Charlie stood up quickly and looked around not really knowing what else to say, “I’m sorry, Olivia. I never meant to make you feel like I cornered you or something.”
She didn’t respond, and when she heard the front door closing, she covered her head with a pillow and let out a scream. She hated to feel so powerless, so confused and so hurt. It felt like he just decided to reopen a wound that took too long to close and now it was painfully bleeding again.
It was heartbreaking to see her sobbing on the floor and not being able to calm her, to tell her that he never meant to leave like that.
“Where were you?” his sister questioned when she saw him with guilt all over his face, “Charlie, I told you not to mess with Olivia. What did you do now?”
“I don’t know.” He did though. He knew what did just a few minutes ago and what he did four years ago.
“Is she alright?” the hazel-eyed boy nodded and then shrugged, rubbing his palms over his face, feeling the frustration take over his body.
“I needed to talk to her, but she shot me down the moment she saw me, and then I think she was about to have a panic attack or something. She was better when I left.”
Charlie didn’t remember seeing her like that when they still were friends, Olivia was so determined and optimistic, not as impulsive as he was but always open for a new adventure or a trip with him and his siblings. But then, he started to have feelings for his best friend and decided that it wasn’t worth it to ruin their friendship and buried those feelings by getting a girlfriend just to act as if he wasn’t in love with Olivia. He knew it was mutual but what was the point of dating if he was going to move to Toronto and she was going to stay in New Brunswick.
Leaving her after his birthday four years ago was one of the things he regretted the most. He knew damn well she was afraid of the dark and yet he broke his promise. Charlie tried to put some distance between them so it wouldn’t hurt as much once he moved out, but he ended up messing everything.
“She didn’t even let me call her Liv, Meg.” His sister sat next to him and hugged him.
“We stopped calling her like that after you left,” she explained feeling sorry for him, “I guess it reminded her of you too much since you were the one that gave her the nickname.”
At lunchtime, Charlie made his way to his ex-best friend’s house with a portion of his birthday cake and the Tuna Pasta Salad his mom cooked for lunch. It wasn’t like he was planning to have lunch with her, but if getting her lunch and dessert gave him another shot, he’d even consider getting her breakfast the next morning.
He opened the backdoor just like he just did when they were younger and went straight into the kitchen, hoping she wouldn’t catch him sneaking into her house.
“Fuck it,” he whispered when he didn’t hear noise upstairs. With the food now in a tray, Charlie went upstairs.
Liv was in the same place she was before he left earlier. The Scottie lifted her head when he entered the room but didn’t bark at him and curled up again next to her sleeping owner. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he put the tray down and let out his breath.
“Hey,” his voice broke the silence they were in and Olivia moved in her sleep but didn’t wake up, “I got you food, Liv,” He said again this time a little bit louder.
“What?” she questioned; her mind fuzzy with sleep to understand what was happening.
“My mom made lunch and if I’m not wrong, it was your favorite.” The answer was simple, but why would he even bother to get her lunch if she told him to leave her alone.
“What time is it?” she asked again sitting up in bed rubbing her left eye with her hand.
“Time for you to eat,” the boy pointed to the tray next to her and stood up, “I brought you cake, I thought you’d like it.”
“Thanks?” Charlie let out a soft laugh and left. “Charlie!” She called out and he came back with a hopeful look in his eyes. “I made it,” Olivia pointed at the cake and his cheek started to turn pink in embarrassment.
“You made my birthday cake.”
Olivia shrugged as if it was nothing. “Meg asked me to,” she grabbed the fork and continued, “you know it’s my job, right?”
“What do you mean?” Charlie sat again in the bed taking every chance to keep the conversation going.
“I have a bakery.” She had a fucking bakery, and he didn’t even know. How would he? He never made questions about her, but he thought his family would tell him such a big thing. “Thanks for the food.” And that was his sign for him to leave.
“Thanks for the birthday cake.”
Olivia had her own bakery and made him a birthday cake, it was her job but still, she knew it was for him and made it anyway.  That had to mean something, right?
Charlie was right, it was her favorite meal. She could have graduated from one of the most prestigious cooking schools in Canada but not even her fancy cooking school could beat Jeannette’s salad. She remembered Jeannette telling her that the magic was in her secret ingredient when she was younger and after all this time, she still wasn’t able to figure out what it was.
Her phone vibrated with a new notification and she smiled when she saw a picture of her parents with cocktails in their hands. She hated the fact that she’d have to leave a couple of days before they came back, but she needed to go and pack the few things she still had left in her old apartment back in Vancouver and move all her stuff across the country and into her new apartment.
The doorbell woke up the puppy from her nap and ran towards the door, letting Olivia know someone was outside.
“You would never think those barks belong to such a tiny animal,” Meghan chuckled when she opened the door and Peanut started to jump around her.
“Oh, I know, I get startled sometimes and she’s only eight months old,” she let the girl in not before giving the house across the street a nervous look.
“Char and my brothers went out,” Olivia nodded and thanked her quietly for the information, “I was bored so I thought you’d want to hang out.”
“Oh, sure,” she smiled at Charlie’s sister and felt guilty for all those times she said no whenever Meghan invited her over to hang out like they used to do, “I wanted to go to the farm and pick some fresh berries. I don’t know if you wanna go with me.”
“I don’t know,” Meghan scrunched her nose, and the gesture reminded the older girl of Charlie. If she didn’t grow up with them, she could’ve thought they were twins, “I’ll go only if you make me muffins.”
“That’s unfair,” Olivia said playfully, “I’m gonna change and we can head out.”
“I’m gonna stay right here so I can play with this cute baby,” Meghan cooed the dog and sat on the floor to play with her.
Running back into her room, she changed into some overalls and a top. She wanted to be comfortable on the farm and be able to move around without worrying about her skirt getting caught in the branches.
“I swear you and my brother are the only people I know that love wearing overalls,” Olivia’s cheeks blushed at her words, remembering very well how often Charlie used to come over wearing overalls and no shirt underneath.
“They’re comfy,” she said looking at her outfit with slight embarrassment.
“You look great, Liv.” Her eyes darted back at Meghan and decided not to make a big deal about the nickname.
“Your car or mine?” she questioned, picking up the keys and her bag.
“Yours, I don’t feel like driving.”
When Charlie landed his first role, he would spend a lot of time out of town filming, and eventually, both girls became closer. She could never compare her friendship with Meghan with the one she once had with Charlie because they were inseparable, they spent so much time together she was sure she had her first period when they were playing over at his house and both freaked out because they didn’t know what to do. Later that day he came over to her house with a chocolate bar and a single flower.
“My mom said you’d probably want some chocolate, so I got you your favourite.” She remembered the eleven years old Charlie said with his cheeks burning red.
She sighed at the memory, realizing how even such an important milestone in her life somehow involved the boy that was messing with her head lately.
“So…,” Meghan started once they both were on the road, “Charlie almost threw a tantrum because none told him you had a bakery.”
Olivia chuckled just imagining Charlie pouting with his arms crossed over his chest, “he never asked you guys.”
“It’s not that he didn’t ask about you,” She bit the inside of her cheek getting a little bit uncomfortable with the conversation, “I guess we all decided not to tell him about your life like he didn’t really deserve updates about you.”
“I get it,” stopping the car at a red light, she smiled at the girl sitting next to her, “I’m glad you didn’t have to deal with questions about me because if he wanted to know something, he should’ve asked me himself.”
Not like she’d have answered his calls or texts because she didn’t know if she would have. She thought she might have answered if he had reached out for her, but he never did.
Hanging out with Meghan was like breathing fresh air, both girls laughing and messing around while they picked fresh blueberries, their fingers getting tinted with the fruit’s juice. Snapping the last picture with their blueberries, they went back home.
“Can I post this one?” Meghan asked, showing her the picture where a smiling Olivia was holding a single blueberry in front of the camera while Meghan stuck her tongue out.
“Sure, I like it. Send me the others so I can post one too,” she commented, looking at the picture quickly before turning her attention back to the road ahead.
Once they got back home, Meghan took place in one of the stools in the kitchen, while Olivia got everything she needed to bake. She was about to start the mixer when her friend got a text and cursed under her breath.
“Everything alright?” she wondered with a raised eyebrow, confused at her friend’s reaction.
“I have to teach a dance class and I completely forgot about it,” with an apology written all over her face, she stood up and gathered her stuff, “I’m sorry, Liv, but I need to go or I’m gonna have a bunch of angry moms complaining about my absence.”
“Yeah, sure. Go don’t worry,” Olivia assured her with a chuckle, “I’ll take these babies to your house once they’re ready.”
“You’re the best. Thank you!” Meghan stated before running back to her own house.
Deciding it was better to put on some music while she baked, she went to connect her phone to the Bluetooth speaker when the back door opened, and Charlie waved at her with a shy expression on his face.
“Meg said you could use some help with the muffins.”
“Uhm…” Olivia frowned her brows slightly, knowing this was Charlie trying to apologize and make things better, “just put on some music,” she handed him the speaker and started the mixer.
She wasn’t sure how she felt with him sitting on the stool his sister was on just a few minutes ago, but the burning anger she felt the first day she saw him was missing. But they were far from being friends again, she told herself.
“How was your hike?” The words left her mouth quietly as an attempt to make small conversation and feel a little less observed by him.
“It was great, we got a bunch of nice pictures,” and there it was, she smiled to herself when she heard the excitement in Charlie’s voice, “we had to come back earlier because Pat’s bike got a flat tire, but it was fun.”
“So, you guys went cycling,” she stated the obvious just to make him talk about his little trip. God, she missed the way Charlie used to tell her about his day and how excited he was about little things, the same excitement he had now as he told her about the perfect spot that he found to take pictures and how he promised to a couple that he would send the cute picture he took of them as soon as he could.
Charlie used to remind her of a puppy, filled with excitement and energy and she let out a chuckle when she realised he was just like he was when they were teenagers.
“Did I miss my own joke?” he questioned, tilting his head with amusement.
Olivia shrugged, without bothering to look at him, too busy with her task, and said, “you’re just like a puppy, Charlie.”
“You used to tell me that a lot back then,” he pondered biting his lower lip, the energy in the room shifting at the mention of the friendship they used to have.
“I know.”
She didn’t know what else to say because she didn’t know how she felt about their interaction. Or the fact that Charlie was sitting there, just a few feet away from her just like they used to be when they were younger. Him watching and telling her stories while she busied herself with a new recipe.
“I’m glad one of us actually became a chef,” Charlie spoke again, breaking the silence. The girl didn’t respond, she poured the mix into the muffin cups not letting his words disrupt her. Once the tray was in the oven, she turned around and crossed her arms over her chest, feeling the nostalgia wash away and the resentment took its place.
“Some of us stick to what we said, Charles.” The bitterness in her voice made the boy close his eyes, knowing very well the course this conversation was about to take.
“How many times do I have to apologize, Olivia?” She scoffed and shook her head in disbelief.
“You haven't said sorry not even once, Charlie.” Sure he said sorry for getting into her backyard without permission and invading her space the past two days, but he never apologized for the shitty move he did four years ago.
“You don’t even let me talk!” He argued back.
“Oh, come on, Charlie!” Olivia rolled her eyes and pointed a finger at him, “don’t start with that bullshit because you had a whole week to apologize for leaving me on my own when you said you’d walk me home, but you chose to stay quiet and then leave the town without even saying goodbye.”
“Shit, Liv,” he whispered when he saw her eyes welling up with tears, “please don’t cry.”
“Do you even realize how bad I felt when you left without saying goodbye?” she questioned drying her cheeks with the back of her hand, “I saw you get in that car with all your belongings and I waited for you to come and say goodbye, to text me or call me but you just left and now you come here as if nothing happened.”
“Liv, I’m sorry,” he told her, standing up so he could get closer to the girl that was facing him with hurt in her eyes, fighting to hold back the tears from falling. “You need to believe when I tell you I’m fucking sorry for doing that.”
She jerked away from him when he tried to hold her. “Thanks for the apology,” Olivia inhaled deeply, the scent of Charlie’s cologne too intoxicating now that she was trying not to fall apart in front of him.
“If you want me to go, I’ll go,” he mumbled, understanding she probably needed some space.
“I’ll take the muffins to your place once they’re done.”
Charlie stood there, right in front of the girl that once was his partner in crime, but now they were practically strangers to each other and that was all his fault. He wished he could hold Olivia in his arms and tell her over and over again how deeply sorry he was for being such a coward, for leaving her without an explanation. He just wanted to take away all the pain he already caused her and somehow still manage to hurt her again. With a heavy sigh, the boy turned around and headed back to his house.
She sat in one of the stools, trying to calm her heart down and process whatever just happened. Charlie apologized but the annoying feeling that she needed more than just an apology didn’t leave her chest. An explanation would be good, maybe that way she would be able to actually forgive him and understand why he did it because right now, she didn’t really see them being friends again. Not when she was still holding a grudge against him.
Standing outside Charlie’s front door, with a tray full of freshly baked muffins in her hands, Olivia decided to go through the side door. She was met with nothing but silence while she made her way into the kitchen and saw a figure sitting with a guitar near the river through the window. Unlike her house, Charlie’s backyard was next to the river and the woods, where she remembered playing hide and seek with Charlie and Meghan when they were little.
She left the tray on the kitchen counter and headed to where Charlie was sitting. It was weird walking around his house, after all, she avoided the Gillespie family as much as she could when Charlie left and kept their interaction to a minimum, and hadn’t been inside in a long time.
“Hey,” she said softly, taking place next to him, “I brought the muffins.”
“Thanks, Liv,” he gave her a small smile before he continued playing a soft melody on his guitar.
“I still don’t understand why you did it,” Olivia managed to say after a few minutes of sitting together in complete silence.
“I didn’t want to, it just happened and then I fucked up things even more by not saying goodbye,” he explained and looked at her, “I thought I could just sneak out with Quinn because your house wasn’t far, I mean we were right here that day, and I wasn’t really thinking.”
“But that doesn’t explain why you didn’t talk to me that week before you left.”
He placed the guitar by his side, turning around to give Olivia his full attention, she looked at him with a mix of sadness and shyness in her brown eyes.
“When I left with Quinn we were going to her place and hook up, I’m sure you know that, but we didn’t ‘cause I called her Liv right before we did anything,” her cheeks blushed at his confession but unable to believe his words entirely, “that’s why we broke up soon after my birthday, and I was so fucking embarrassed about my feelings…”
“You were embarrassed because you liked me, way to go, Charlie,” she interrupted him slightly offended.
“I didn’t say that, let me finish,” He demanded getting frustrated with the conversation, “I was embarrassed because I called her your name because I was thinking of you in a moment I shouldn’t have,” he paused unsure of how Olivia was going to react at his next word, “that’s when I realised my feelings for you were a lot stronger than I thought and I got scared because I knew I was leaving.”
“Charlie,” she told him, confusion laced in her voice “did you even like Quinn?”
“No, not really. I kinda forced myself to be with her ‘cause I didn’t want to ruin our friendship” Charlie answered and then let out a sad laugh, “I guess it didn’t work out as good as I thought.”
“You know I liked you, right?” her voice was barely a whisper and her stomach fluttered when she saw him smile at her and nodded in response, “was I that obvious really?” When Charlie nodded again she covered her face with her hands in pure embarrassment.
“I’m really sorry, Liv,” he apologized again, and she rested her head on his shoulder, “if I could take all that back I’d do it in a heartbeat.”
“I guess I understand now,” Charlie could hear the soft smile even if he wasn’t seeing her face, “don’t get me wrong, it hurt like shit to see how you moved on as if I didn’t exist, but I get that you were scared and we both ended up messing up our friendship.”
“Do you think we’ll ever be able to be friends again?” Olivia turned around, meeting his gaze and sighed.
“Maybe?” she answered, scrunching her nose unsure of it.
They stayed like that for a while, Charlie’s gaze moving from her eyes to her lips from time to time, debating if he should just go for it or not. It was her that took the initiative and leaned in, pressing their lips together in a kiss that, just like the apology, was long overdue.
“I’ll take that as a no,” he murmured against her lips before kissing her again, leaving the shyness behind and cupping her face between his hands pulling her closer as if that way they could make up all the time they spent apart.
They both pulled away when they heard his older brother hollering at them from the balcony and Olivia laughed when Charlie flipped him the middle finger. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead.
Of course, they still needed to talk a lot and find a way to work things out now that their feelings were out on display. But she had a good feeling about giving them a new shot, because, after all those years, they still managed to find their way back to each other.

27 pricerich?
Well this took ages, so here, have a big prompt fill.
The bridge rattles, its wooden frame protesting as the train rolls across it. Her hands and butt are numb from the vibrations as she sits on top of the truss, her feet dangling over the box cars.
The urge to jump down onto the car tugs at her, to ride this train wherever the hell it’s going and see what comes of it.
But she has someone to meet.
A date, sort of. With someone she probably should have dated like half a decade ago.
Fuck, I’d kill for a smoke.
Leaning back, she splays her numb hands out over the lumber of the truss, staring up at the clear sky. Overhead some kind of bird circles, drafting on thermals. She’s not sure if it’s some kind of hawk or something, but she wishes she could be up there with it.
The final axles for the train clatter over the bridge and Chloe sighs as she starts scooting along back to the way she got up here.
“Well, if it isn’t the friendly neighbourhood spider punk.”
Chloe’s heart skips a beat and her head jerks around to find the owner of the familiar voice standing at the end of the bridge, her arms crossed and a knowing smirk on her face.
“Uh, hey Steph!” Chloe scrambles to get her composure together as she waves down to her.
“Hey,” Steph’s smirk widens into a grin as she plants a foot on the post, “What’re you doing up there?”
“Oh, just waiting on a hot date to show up,” Chloe replies, trying to salvage at least a little bit of her cool factor.
A husky laugh comes from Steph as she starts climbing up the angled beam, a shiver running down Chloe’s spine. “That makes two of us.”
Scooting over, Chloe reaches down to grab Steph’s hand and helps haul her the rest of the way up onto the top of the bridge, “Oh yeah? I bet my date’s hotter.”
“Hotter than a punk chick who’s rocking out all over the country and is one of the smartest people I know? I doubt it.”
Her façade of cool threatens to crumble under the weight of the surge of butterflies that have spontaneously appeared in her chest. Jesus fuck Price, get ahold of yourself, you’re in your twenties, you’re not some idiot teenager anymore, stop being such a disaster. “I dunno, sounds like she’s gonna have some pretty stiff competition from the hottest queen of the nerds and dungeon mistress around.”
“Mistress?” Steph teases, wiggling her eyebrows as Chloe shuffles over to give her space to sit down. “Damn Chloe, I didn’t think you were into that.”
Heat flashes in her cheeks and she gently whacks Steph’s shoulder. “Wha- hey! You know that’s not what I meant!”
Wiggling her eyebrows, Steph leans in close to whisper conspiratorially, which only makes the whole blushing thing fucking worse. “I dunno, I heard some stories from a very reliable source.”
“Oh my god, fuck off.” Chloe groans rubbing her hands over her face to hide just how red her cheeks are.
More of that delicious laughter bubbles out from Steph, “It’s seriously good to see you again, how long has it been?”
“Too fucking long,” she mumbles, rubbing her face to try and get the blood out of there again.
“I legit had a freakout when I saw your face pop up. Why didn’t you tell me you were coming down?”
Chloe shrugs, trying to salvage at least a little dignity, “I just wanted to surprise you, I didn’t expect to see your face pop up either. I figured you’d be totally hitched to some awesome lady by now.”
“So, what, you were going to just show up and maybe find some other girl while you were down here? Or were you holding out hope that I might still be available?”
“I plead the fifth.”
Steph laughs again and Chloe tries to keep from blushing only to fail miserably. God fucking dammit, I’m too gay for my own good. “Hey, at least you weren’t a straight couple looking for a third. That’s like all I get anymore.”
“Ugh, I hate unicorn hunters, they make every dating app a fucking minefield.”
“Preaching to the choir. At least I know you’re not a front for some scummy dude with ego issues.”
A sigh escapes Chloe’s lips as she squeezes her eyes shut to blot out the memories. “I’ve had enough of that for one lifetime.”
“You and me both.”
Chloe drums her fingers on the heavy wooden beam, her feet kicking around in the air as the sounds of nature flow into the silence. They sit there for a few moments, listening to the song birds warbling and the river below burbling.
Shit, this was supposed to be a date, right? Or was that just Steph joking around? Because if this is a date I’m totally blowing it right now, right? Fuck, I dunno, since when have I ever actually been on a real fucking date anyways?
It’s Steph who breaks the silence, “Maybe we should have brought some fishing gear and caught some dinner.”
“Oh sure, let me just check the garage for my pole,” Chloe starts, unable to keep from grinning. “Oh, no, not here, guess I must’ve left it in the attic… Damn, no luck, fucking Mike must’ve borrowed it and forgot to tell me.”
Steph’s delighted cackling sends a warm thrill down Chloe’s spine. Shit, her laugh is still hot. “So what brings you down to my neck of the woods anyways? Still on Chloe’s Excellent Adventure to figure things out?”
“Basically. Maybe I’m an asshole for doing it in the first place, but I hella needed to.” Chloe shrugs, shuffling over some more so she can lift her feet and rest them on one of the diagonal struts.
Steph shuffles along the bridge, sticking close to her. “I remember what you texted me when you made that call. Um, how is she doing anyways, do you two still talk?”
“Oh yeah, of course we talk,” Chloe’s hands itch for a cigarette as her eyes find the bird still circling above, “I send her postcards basically every chance I get. But I think I’ve definitely figured out a lot of things.”
“Yeah? What kind of things?” Steph leans closer, her hand moving to plant itself next to Chloe’s.
“Well for one I was a blind idiot in highschool, that’s for fucking sure.”
That wonderful laugh of Steph’s fills Chloe’s chest with a warm tingling that spreads up her neck and to her scalp. “I mean, who wasn’t in highschool.”
The words catch in her throat for a moment, “True, but I was so distracted by someone else that I think I missed the best thing that could have happened to me.”
“I mean, you had one hell of a distraction.”
Chloe snorts softly, tapping the toes of her shoes together as she watches the bird spot something and swoop into a dive. “Maybe, but still, I wish I could go back and shake the younger me and be like ‘dude, she’s right there, pay attention to her!’”
“Good luck, I don’t know if you remember yourself, but you were crazy stubborn.” Steph snorts, her hand reaching up to pat Chloe on the shoulder.
“I dunno, I’m pretty sure I could get my past self to listen with a ‘hey, that hot girl isn’t going to jerk you around, maybe try and kiss her or something you dork’.”
“Oh, you think I’d kiss you, huh?” Steph’s tone is low and teasing as she leans in, and Chloe can instantly feel her cheeks get set to high.
“I dunno, call it a hunch,” she mumbles in reply, a hand reaching up to rub the back of her neck. Fuck, I’m so warm my ears have gotta be red now.
“Just a hunch? Are you willing to take that bet?”
“I-I… yeah, maybe?” Fuck! Way to stumble over your words dumbass! “What’re my odds?”
There’s a soft snort from Steph as she leans forwards into Chloe’s field of view, a smirk on her face, “Someone’s stalling.”
“Whoa, hey,” Chloe grumbles, her heart pounding faster at that knowing grin pointed right at her, “I’m hella not stalling, I’m just-”
“Just kiss me already Chloe.”
It feels like her face is burning as she leans in, her fingers brushing up against Steph’s hand, “Shit, talk about rolling a crit.”

That's pretty D.U.M.B
Part 0 - Part 1 - Part 2
Oobleck: Which one of you is going next!?
Ruby: . . .do. . .do we have to doctor?
Oobleck: what do you mean miss rose?
Ruby: i mean that you already tested and found out that the machine works, couldn't we stop here?
Oobleck: OF COURSE NOT!!! science has in its basis constant testing! one single success can't let any scientist or researcher like me satisfied! Why did you suggest that miss rose!?
Ruby: it's just. . .i don't know, the other Weiss seemed nice but, Jaune was a bit. . .
_WBY/J_P_: Rude?/Mean?/Stuck up?/S-scary?/Abrasive?
Ruby: yeah, all of that, what if we bring another jaune like that? Or one even worse?
Oobleck: Well, considering the infinite possibilities out there, it wouldn't be impossible to bring other Mr.arcs like the previous one, but the same way a bad Mr.arc can show up, a good one can as well.
Yang: yeah. plus, we're talking about vomit boy, how many evil versions of him can be out there?
Ruby: i don't know, and i honestly don't wanna find out.
Yang: come on, he wasn't that bad, he was just like weiss cream would be if she was a boy but still had to deal with her period 24/7 and weiss cream was just like jaune if he was a girl, which, i think wouldn't change much aside from what's between his legs.
Jaune/Weiss: HEY!
Ruby: still, i'm not sure if we should keep going.
Yang: Come on, what if the next Jaune that comes up is a reaper that uses a cool gun just like yours?
Ruby: . . .it sounds cool, but still. . .i don't know about it.
Yang: *sigh* welp, then i think i'll have to go next.
Ruby: w-what? Yang you-
Yang: relax, considering what happened last time this Jaune is probably going to be a cool brawler who loves parties like i do.
Oobleck: while that is indeed a possibility ms. Xiao long, i wouldn't take it for granted until we see who's coming through the D.U.M.B.
Yang: welp, only one way to find out, right? *walks up to the D.U.M.B* you're coming vomit boy?
Jaune: err, can't we just listen to ruby and stop here?
Yang: you too? C'mon, man up vomit boy! Its gonna be fun!
Jaune: you only say that because you weren't the one watching a mirror version of you looking at you like a pathetic little bug, i'm not looking forward to that again.
Yang: come on, how bad can the next you be?
Jaune: i have no idea.
Yang: and that's why we have to find out! *holds jaune's arm and drags him to the D.U.M.B, placing both of their hands on the device*
Jaune: w-wait, yang i-
Suddenly, the device lights up with an yellow aura similar to yang's, before it fades away.
Blake: and it did it again.
Weiss: *sitting behind a table* i am not taking another explosion.
Ruby: *hiding behind weiss* me neither.
Weiss: what are you doing you dolt!?
Yang: *grinning and with her semblance on* ready vomit boy?
Jaune: *with closed eyes and bracing himself* not real-
*BOOM*
Once again the room was filled with smoke, this time though it was a yellow one, which quickly started to dissipate thanks to the open windows.
Jaune: *on the ground* oww, why does this thing has to explode to work?
Yang: *shrugs while still standing, her body covered with aura* no idea, but seeing you fly is funny.
Ruby: *still behind weiss* so? What jaune showed up?
Oobleck: *fanning some smoke away* they're probably still in the smoke ms.Rose. The device seems to have worked again, but we still need to wait to see who-
A blur then jumped out of the smoke, and in the blink of an eye collided with doctor oobleck, it happened so fast that the group barely had time to react, and only realized what happened when they saw oobleck pinned on the ground.
(A)Jaune: *wearing a white T-shirt, blue pajama pants, with several visible scars on his legs and arms, holding oobleck down by the throat and holding a handcannon on his forehead while glaring at him with scarlet eyes and black scleras*
RWBY/J_P_: *shocked*
(A)Jaune: i'll ask this only one time, and you better give me a good answer. What did you just do?
Oobleck: *sweating bullets* w-well, you see, i-i-
(A)Yang: jaune!
(A)Jaune: *looks back at the smoke cloud*
(A)Yang: *coming out of the smoke, wearing her usual sleeping clothes but with a yellow robotic right arm and rubbing her eyes* don't you think it's too early *yawn* to be causing havoc?
(A)Jaune: *looking back at oobleck* look around yang, we're not at the dorm.
(A)Yang: *looking around* huh? How did we- *notices the group, including herself and another jaune* . . .okay, what the hell is going on? Am i still dreaming?
(A)Jaune: you're not dreaming, and i'm trying to figure out exactly what is going on.
(A)Yang: by scaring the hell out of everyone around you?
(A)Jaune: do you know a more effective way of getting answers?
(A)Yang: yeah, did you tried to ask first before going straight into violence like we talked about?
(A)Jaune: hmph, do you realize how much of an hypocrite do you sound like right now?
(A)Yang: punching someone is way different from holding them at gunpoint bad boy. Now, why don't you just let poor professor Oobleck off the hook before he vomits out the rivers of coffee he's always drinking?
(A)Jaune: . . . *sighs, eyes going back to white scleras and marine blue iris* fine. *gets up and stands next to yang* but if your way doesn't work out i'll-
(A)Yang: dismember them, kill them, yeah yeah i know the drill with you, so relax and just leave it to me okay bad boy? *grins and winks at him*
(A)Jaune: *crosses his arms* hmph.
(A)Yang: i'm sorry for him, he gets grumpy when you wake him up out of the blue like that, specially on a sunday.
Pyrrha: *helping oobleck up* to the point of hurting a teacher?
(A)Yang: can we all just be happy that "hurting" was all he did to professor oobleck? If you did that a few months ago jaune would've probably beheaded him.
Oobleck: *gulps*
(A)Yang: speaking of which, what the heck just happened? I was enjoying my warm bed on a cold sunday morning and now we're on a classroom, with people that look way too much like us.
Oobleck: w-well, i am sorry to disturb you and mister arc with this experiment miss xiao long, but we are testing a new device, a device with the power to bring other versions of peoples to our universe.
(A)Jaune: *raises eyebrow* so we are in a different universe?
Oobleck: precisely!
(A)Jaune: that explains why there's another "us" here. How do we go back?
Weiss: wait, so you will just believe in what we're saying?
(A)Jaune: i've dealt with things stranger than this before, jumping into a new universe isn't anything too out of the common really. Plus, i know when people are lying.
(A)Yang: you did that before?
(A)Jaune: no, but it's not really worse than salem's shenanigans.
Ozpin: salem you say?
RWBY/J_P_: WHA-!?!?
Weiss: where do you teachers keep coming from!?!?
Ozpin: *behind the students* that's a very good question miss schnee. *sips coffee, completely ignoring her very good question*
(A)Jaune: Oz? You're here too? Guess this universe is not that different from ours. Do they know about her?
Ozpin: no, at least not yet mister arc.
(A)Jaune: good, ignorance is a blessing.
Blake: what are you two talking about?
Ozpin: nothing that really matters miss belladonna, i'm here just to observe oobleck's experiment. *sits on the farthest table.* please proceed as if i'm not here.
Weiss: why are all teachers in beacon so weird?
Yang: you talk like we're any better.
Weiss: we're not. . . .okay, point taken.
Oobleck: answering your previous question mister arc, this device has a time limit of half an hour or a manual trigger for you two to go back.
(A)Jaune: good, i'm tired and want to go back to bed as soon as i can. How does the manual trigger works?
(A)Yang: hold up you lazy bun. come on, we're in a whole different universe, don't you wanna take a look around? See if we can find something interesting?
(A)Jaune: i've already seen my fair share of weird stuff on our own world, i'm not interested.
(A)Yang: *grins* oh really? *walks up to yang, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her closer* are you going to tell me you're not interested in a world with two of me?
(A)Jaune: . . . . *blushes a bit and looks away*
(A)Yang: oh? What is that? Did you just think about something naughty bad boy?
(A)Jaune: . . .no.
(A)Yang: *grinning* li-ar~
(A)Jaune: i'm not lying.
(A)Yang: *gets closer, booping his cheek* of course you're lying, how can you not love the idea of having two me's around you?
(A)Jaune: *looks back at her* because you're the only yang i love you dumbass blonde.
(A)Yang: *blushes* . . . .that's a low blow.
(A)Jaune: you started it.
Ruby: is it me or these two really look like they like each other?
Weiss: *deadpans* wow, how did you figure that one out ruby?
Yang: so me and vomit boy from the other dimension are together?
(A)Yang: vomit boy? Why do you call jaune like that.
Jaune: oh god, please don't-
Yang: because the first time i saw him he ended up puking on my shoes.
(A)Yang: PFF! HE WHAT!? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING!?
Yang: *grinning* i'm serious. guess seeing me for the first time was too much for him.
(A)Yang: *starts laughing*
Jaune: *red* i have motion sickness! It's a very common problem!
(A)Jaune: so i not only look like an idiot here, but act like one as well?
(A)Yang: i don't know, i kinda like the idea of a softer and dorkier version of you.
(A)Jaune: i don't.
Pyrrha: but why are you like this?
(A)Jaune: what?
Pyrrha: you are a lot different from our jaune.
Ruby: yeah, yang looks almost the same, but you are a bit different.
Weiss: a lot different actually.
(A)Jaune: judging by how he acts and looks like, he probably had a comfortable normal life, with little to no training.
Jaune: h-how-
(A)Jaune: the moment i attacked oobleck i saw everyone tensing in reaction, it's an combat instinct to get ready whenever something unexpected happens, you were the only one who didn't reacted like that, which means you have barely any combat experience.
Jaune: i. . .can't argue against that.
(A)Jaune: meanwhile, i didn't had it so easy.
Weiss: let me guess, your father was a heartless bastard?
(A)Jaune: *snaps to weiss, eyes get red and surrounded by a black sclera* say that about my father again and i'll cut your throat.
Weiss: *shivers*
(A)Yang: *flickers his forehead* hey! cut it out bad boy. i know it's hard to believe but for once ice queen wasn't trying to be mean, she was just asking a question.
(A)Jaune: R-Right. . . *sighs, eyes going back to normal* sorry.
Yang: what's up with his eyes? It almost looks like a grimm.
(A)Jaune: that's because i am partially grimm.
PR__Y: what?
Oobleck: *taking notes* please elaborate more mr.arc.
(A)Jaune: genetic enhancement. I got through a lot of experiments when i was seven.
RWBY/J_P_: SEVEN!?!?
(A)Jaune: the genetical enhancement is lethal on adults with fully developed bodies, only small children have a chance to survive.
Ruby: just a chance?
(A)Jaune: yeah, fifty children ranging from five to ten were tested on, only three survived, one of them being me.
Pyrrha: oh my god. . .that's so cruel.
(A)Jaune: not really, we all knew what we were getting into.
Blake: how can any five year old consent to something that has a chance of killing them?
(A)Jaune: because they would wind up dead without this power. We all agreed to go through this because we all had the same objective, take revenge on the organisation that killed our families.
RWBY/J_P_: . . . .
(A)Jaune: when i was a kid, a man tried to recruit my father to be part of his organization, when my father refused he blew up our home, killing my sisters and my mother, only me and my dad survived, but he lost an arm and was really hurt, he carried me as far as he could but the man found us and killed him. . .i only survived because of my mentor Qrow branwen and his sister.
Ruby: uncle Qrow? He was your mentor?
Yang: *shocked* wait. . .did you say his sister was there too?
(A)Jaune: yeah, they both saved me and took me to the Reaper organization, they offered me a choice to try and have a normal life or join the reapers, qrow wanted me to have a normal life but i didn't listened to him, i was so full of anger that i signed up and proceeded with the Reapers.
Oobleck: reaper program. . .sounds like something i heard before, but the project i knew was stored for being not very ethical.
Jaune: makes sense, the program consisted in making genetic enhancements on kids and making them go through the toughest training possible.
Blake: what kind of training?
(A)Jaune: several kinds, ranging from survival training to durability training, they would expose us to harsh places and teach us to survive, as well as expose us to high levels of pain, heat, cold, electricity, poison and others just so our bodies could get used to it.
Blake: that's. . .inhuman, how could they do this to children?
(A)Jaune: we did this to ourselves, we asked for the training. . .we just didn't knew how insane it would drive us.
Yang: i mean, i'm not a specialist but you don't really look that insane.
(A)Yang: that's because you met him now, he wasn't like this a year ago.
(A)Jaune: because of the grimm essence and the painful training, me and the other two kids didn't turned out very well, i was probably the most mentally balanced out of the three.
(A)Yang: and he still tried to kill me at least three times.
Weiss: and you're dating him!?
(A)Yang: *shrugs* he's wasn't that bad after you got to know him well, specially compared to his friends. One of them was a sociopath that tested the most painful ways to kill on his enemies. the other was a wild animal that killed anyone who got near him.
(A)Jaune: unless this person was qrow, oz, ironwood, raven or steph.
(A)Yang: yeah. Jaune was the least fucked up of them, yet he tried to kill me twice and two other teachers as well on his first week on beacon.
(A)Jaune: *deadpans* why do you keep bringing that up? I apologized didn't i?
(A)Yang: only after we started to get together, and every time remember you pointing that gun to me i get annoyed, *grinning* specially because your handcannon is not the kind of gun i like to see you pointing at my face.
(A)Jaune: can't you leave the dirty jokes for later? Or just stop with them altogether?
(A)Yang: you know i can't.
Ruby: so, jaune got through a lot and became a killer. . .please tell me you aren't evil too yang.
(A)Yang: well, last time i checked they didn't had my size on the killer's clothing store, so i guess i'm with the good guys for now.
Yang: what about my arm? What happened to it?
(A)Yang: i lost in a grimm attack.
(A)Jaune: *looking down* it was my fault.
(A)Yang: no it wasn't, and even if it was you still made up for it, so don't go getting gloomy because of it, okay? Basically a group of grimms came after me, i was so distracted with the fighting that i didn't noticed one had a bomb attached to it.
(A)Jaune: i tried to shield her from the explosion but in the end it still took one of her arms away.
(A)Yang: which was still a pretty cheap price to pay for the result, even though i still think you're an idiot for doing that.
Yang: what did he do?
(A)Yang: in our world, there's a woman who can control grimm, and she was the one who sent the grimms after me by request of the same guy who killed jaune's family.
Ruby: but why did he wanted you dead?
(A)Yang: because i'm jaune's angel.
Weiss: you what?
(A)Yang: angel, i'll explain that later. Well, this idiot right here *points to (A)Jaune* had the great idea to go after her even with the injury of the explosion leaving him vulnerable.
(A)Jaune: i already told you why i did that, i was angry and couldn't think straight.
(A)Yang: *glaring at him* and i already told you i don't give a damn to your reasoning, you're still an idiot. Anyways, he obviously failed and had to run away, but while he was running away he found my missing mother and saved her.
Yang: Raven?
(A)Jaune: Summer Rose.
Ruby/Yang: *shocked*
Ruby: m-mom is alive in your universe!?
(A)Yang: yeah, she disappeared during a mission when we were really young. . .we thought she was dead, but she was being kept alive in suspension so they could understand more about her. . .special powers.
(A)Jaune: i woke her up and managed to escape with her. Nowadays she is working as a teacher in beacon while trying to rebuild her marriage with qrow.
Ruby/Yang: SHE'S TRYING TO REBUILD WHAT WITH WHO!?!?
(A)Yang: i know right? It was one hell of a surprise, we had no idea they were married, but after uncle qrow saw mom again and kissed her in front of everyone, it was kind of hard to keep it a secret.
Ruby: wait, does that means i'm-
(A)Yang: uncle qrow's secret daughter? Yup, you are.
Ruby: oh my god. . .it's so much to think about that my head is starting to hurt.
(A)Yang: i don't blame you, it took awhile to digest everything weird that was happening in my life. One day i'm just good ol' me, going to beacon like i always wanted to do, and suddenly i lose an arm, my dead mom is alive and back, i find out she was actually married to my uncle, my sister is technically my cousin and i am the new angel of the guy who tried to murder me a few times when we first met.
Weiss: you mean girlfriend?
(A)Yang: *shrugs* works too, it's the same thing.
(A)Jaune: *frowns* no it's not, an angel is one of a kind, you can find other girlfriends but an angel is unique, you're the only one i ever confided with my fears and weaknesses, you're the only one who ever saw me cry and the only one who i ever showed my love to, you might be my girlfriend but before that you're my angel, because only an angel like you to bring peace to a demon like me.
RWBY/J_P_: . . . .
(A)Jaune: . . . *red* can you stop staring at me like that?
(A)Yang: *smiling* i can't, i love when you get on your poetic mood, it's too cute.
(A)Jaune: ugh, i should've just stayed shut.
(A)Yang: yeah, you should've known better than giving me ammo to tease you at this point.
(A)Jaune: i hate you.
(A)Yang: nope, you don't. But putting the cheesy and cute poetry to the side, an angel is like a break to the reapers, they usually don't trust anyone and are terrible people, but when they find someone special that they can trust they change a lot. I told you about jaune's friends earlier, the one who liked to torture people as a hobby now likes to plant flowers and care for them on his free time with his angel, meanwhile the psycho animal got just like me, a fun guy who loves to crack jokes and tease other people, though he isn't as cool as i am.
(A)Jaune: but is still a lot more perverted than you. . .if that's even possible.
(A)Yang: i know right? I don't know how that girl survived dating him for so long, if all the reapers have the same level of stamina i wonder how she isn't on a wheelchair.
(A)Jaune: now you're just being dramatic.
(A)Yang: remember when we first did it? And i couldn't stand without my legs shaking like leaves for almost a whole day? Imagine a girl going through that almost every day.
(A)Jaune: . . . . . .yeah, you got a point.
(A)Yang: i know. though, if she keeps having sex with him so much it's because she likes it, sometimes i imagine how it feels to do it all the time.
(A)Jaune: *deadpans* knowing you, i'm sure you do.
(A)Yang: *grins* are you saying that you don't think about that too? We're almost on our vacation you know? We could go out for a few days and find out~
(A)Jaune: *blushes* y-you-
(A)Yang: pff *chuckles* you're too easy to mess with sometimes.
(A)Jaune: *sighs* Can we leave already?
Oobleck: *looking to his clock* well, since you've been here for twenty seven minutes and forty three seconds i don't think there is much time left anyways.
(A)Yang: well, it was good while it lasted.
(A)Jaune: yang, we didn't do anything but tell them how our world is.
(A)Yang: *ignoring him* It was nice to meet you awkward jaune, i mean, vomit boy. *winks*
Jaune: *chuckles awkwardly*
(A)Yang: oh, and other me.
Yang: yeah.
(A)Yang: you better not let him slip, i had to work a lot to make this jaune here soft, you already got a softy ready for you, they might not be the same but if he's also jaune then i'm pretty sure you're not gonna regret.
Yang: i'll think about it.
J_P_: you WHAT!?
Yang: what? If i'm the one saying it then it must be true. Not to mention that Jaune does look cute so its a double win for me.
Jaune: *blushes* i-i'm cute?
(A)Yang: good. *starts glowing along with jaune* i don't know much about your jaune, mine was a knucklehead most of the time but when he wanted to be, he was very kind and supportive, he helped me to deal with a lot of old issues, and i'm pretty sure your vomit boy isn't different on that aspect.
Yang: right. . .i'll keep that in mind.
Ruby: err, other yang?
(A)Yang: yeah?
Ruby: can you do me a favor?
(A)Yang: i don't think i have much time left to help you other rubes.
Ruby: no, it's nothing really big, just. . .when you go back, can you please tell mom that i love her?
(A)Yang: . . . *gives her a small smile* sure, i promise i'll tell her when i get back.
Ruby: *with a shaky smile* right. . .thank you.
(A)Yang: and hey, please don't cry, my ruby or not i still don't like to see you sad.
Ruby: right. *sniff* i'll try.
(A)Yang: good. *glow gets stronger* Bye everyone, it was nice meeting you.
Yang: same.
*(A)Yang waves one last time before vanishing completely from the room*
Blake: . . .once again, that was something.
Yang: ruby? *puts a hand on her shoulder* you okay.
Ruby: y-yeah, i'm fine, i just. . . *sighs* i wished i could go there myself, even if i could just go for a minute to see her. . .
Yang: yeah, i know how you feel.
Oobleck: well. . .it seems that you just got through a very sensitive moment mr.rose, would you like to take a break?
Ruby: no, it's okay, i. . .i think i'm fine.
Yang: you know you don't need to push yourself, right ruby?
Ruby: i know, and don't worry, if it becomes too much i'll stop, but for now. . .mr.oobleck?
Oobleck: yes miss Rose?
Ruby: can i go next?
