A/N: Its been over a year since your best friend Luke passed away, finding it hard to cope with everyday life you go through stages of grief and depression, until one day Luke comes back.....

This story will include flashbacks, when that happens I will put the words in bold.

It had been exactly 1 year and a month, 395 days, 568800 minutes, countless nightmares, countless tears since he.... well, since the incident. Days seemed to go by in slow motion, everybody around you used to ask you if you were okay, give you hugs, call you and see if you wanted to hang out.... you appreciated everyones kindness and words, really you did.... you just couldn't. Whenever you would give in and go out, you would see Luke in every person you saw, only making it harder to deal with the pain. Eventually ignoring all calls and people all together..... Slowly causing the people in your life to fall away from you, until eventually everyone was gone... your parents did the best they could to interact, your sister gave up after 6 months... you couldn't blame her though, she was only 13 and didnt really understand what was going on... the only person that seemed to stick around was your boyfriend Jeremy.

You and Jeremy had known each other since you were just kids. You actually met him through Luke while playing on the playground in 4th grade, Luke had told him the main way to a girls heart was to throw mud in her face.... which he did .... and he learned that day forward not to listen to Luke because most the time he was full of it... but most of the time, he would listen to him anyway.

Jeremy probably understood you more than anyone..... well that was except... Luke. Jeremy understood yours and Lukes relationship though.... even so, you couldn't help but feel bad, you haven't exactly made things easy on him. You wondered time and time again why he stayed with you.... why he loved you... The Body of the girl that was once full of life and there, now standing with a vacancy sign on her chest.... hallow.

You sat in your room watching the rain trickle down the window pane, looking up at the sky.... sometimes you wondered if Luke was watching you, was with you sometimes. You felt the tears start to trickle down your cheek... that was usually your sign to go and lay down, for the pain was to unbearable to stay awake.

Although,Sleep wasnt always your friend ........ "LUKE" You cried in pain, tears streaming down your face, caused by a reoccurring nightmare of when you found out he had passed. clutching your chest to catch your breath, you felt arms wrap around you to hold you closer, a comforting "sssshhh" coming from behind you, it was Jeremy.... you had completely forgot he was supposed to come over. You buried your face into his chest, soaking his shirt in tears as he gently patted your hair until you drifted off to sleep once more. The minute your eyes would close.... there he was standing there with his smirk, and kind eyes getting ready to welcome you into a hug.. this was when sleep was kind to you.

The next morning you woke up to a sunny day, you rubbed your eyes to fully accept the morning, rolling over to find Jeremy looking confused and lost. "Good morning" you said trying to sound as positive as you could, Jeremy just kind of glanced over at you, his eyes slightly puffy.... as if he were crying "Are you okay?" you asked genuinely concerned, even though you were empty, you still wanted to be there for him.. after all he has been here for you this whole time. He looked at you hurt, but like he was trying to understand, biting his lip "What did you dream about last night?" He asked, you could tell in the tone of his voice that he seemed to have already knew, and wasnt happy about it, you thought back about what your dream was about .... You and Luke were hanging out in his room messing around with his guitar, and him looking at you and telling you that everything was going to be okay, and that he was there, and not to be sad anymore..... you looked back at Jeremy "It was just ... a dream.... nothing super big" You said trying to change the subject, "You kept saying... Luke....." He said biting his lip again, you sighed, fidgeting with your pillow "This isnt anything new, you know I have that nightmare where I relive hearing about his death....." You said with a crack in your voice, Jeremy sighed "No... I know that one, when you scream, which did happen... but im not talking about that one.... im talking about the ones after that" He said looking straight into your eyes, "These were different... you kept saying his name, like he was right next you ... and you would cuddle up to me and then say his name." Jeremy said, with almost betrayal in his voice, you played with your hair and then looked him in the eyes "Its nothing.... he just.....sometimes he visits me in my dreams.... or " you paused and scrunched your blanket more up to your face "Or feels like he visits me.... " you said in almost a whisper.... "Its nothing you need to worry about" you sighed hoping he would forget about it and move on "Are these new? or have they always happened?" you pondered at his question, not sure if you should tell the truth, Jeremy was the only person you had left and you didnt want to scare him off too, Luke would have told you to be honest and do what you feel in your heart, and then he probably would have tickled you to lighten the mood, but he would have been right, you always hated when he was right because then he got this cocky grin and would tease you endlessly... you hated it so much .. that you loved it. You sighed "They have been here for about 9 months.... so not the whole time but they aren't new either" You said with full honesty, Jeremy sighed and ruffled his hair, as if he was trying to cope "Okay.... " he said with almost exhaustion and frustration, then he grabbed you and held you next to him "Well, I wish you just.. would have told me sooner" he said kissing the top of your head, you loved that he cared... but you didnt want to tell him .... because then it became real that the dreams in fact... were not.

The nightmares and dreams continued like they always do, you would wake up and live your days like you always do..... Jeremy would try to be supportive like he always did. It all got so monotonous.... you just didnt know what to do about it. The only person that knew how to bring you out of your slumps, the only person that knew how to talk any sense into you was gone... he wasnt there.... so you just sat, going through the motions of every day like a robot on command. Everything around you felt fake, even yourself.... you couldn't take it anymore... so you ran.

You felt the crisp nights air brush against your face as you ran, smell of the ocean wafting in your direction as you made your way to the top of the cliff. You came to a halt right at the edge... breathless. Tears streaming down your face with uncontrollable cries bellowing from within your lungs. You looked over the edge thinking about what you were planning on doing.... you kept thinking about Your mom and dad, your sister, Jeremy..... Lukes parents who still invited you over every Sunday for brunch.... would they care, how much would this hurt them? but then all these thought of everyone in your life disappearing when the pain within you arose again.... you knew that of course they would care and it would probably destroy them all.... just the pain in your heart was unbearable, you looked over the edge once again, taking a deep breath in "I love you Luke" You said in a whisper, tears rolling down your face "Y/N! what are you doing" A voice from behind you exclaimed with caution, and then you felt a hand grab your arm, you looked behind you ...... you couldn't believe it "Luke?"

Everything hurt. My head, my eyes, my chest, my mind. I don't even know what happened. One minute I'm perfectly fine, having a good time with my friends, the next I'm in this situation.

Im sitting in the middle of my dorm on the floor, crying and sobbing over the smallest thing. I admit being stressed with everything going on in my life; with upcoming school exams , training every single day to improve my ultimate moves, and the biggest clicher... my dad's passing a couple months prior.

This whole time I've just been bottling it all up, trying my hardest to put up a brave front as to not worry my mom, who already has a lot on her plate, my friends and boyfriend, Kirishima. To be frank, I haven't even told my class or Kiri, keeping a bright smile as to not hint them in on my life crashing down around me. Some days are easy to keep up my smile, to let my mind focus on something else, and then there are harder days when everything reminds me of my dad.

I was real close to him, we did a lot of fun stuff together; going to amusement parks, going out to see movies we both were really excited to watch, going out to eat at our favorite restaurants.

It still doesnt feel real after all this time. It felt just like yesterday he was perfectly fine, we were celebrating my grandma's birthday, and literally the next day, I find him stiff and eerily still in his bed. And then everything crashing down on me as the paramedics regretfully tell me that my dad was no longer of this world, when I sob into the phone to my mom that my dad was gone, when I listened to my grandma's wails as my mom told her of her son's passing.

It all felt so surreal, like if I go over to see my grandma at her house, I'll see my dad sitting there in the living room, greeting me with his smile and warm hugs and kisses.

I sob harder as I remember all the times we watched Disney movies and me crying at some scenes as my dad happily comforts me. Buying me a toy from one of the movies I adored at the time. Him gifting me a puppy when he moved into a new neighborhood and I didnt have anyone to play with.

My head's pounding, a deep pressure in my brain, as I clutch tightly to the same doll he bought me all those years ago. My screams silent as I try to keep my classmates from finding me in such a pathetic state and worrying about me, my brain not processing that everyone was still at school. I fought to take control of my emotions again, wanting to be strong for my mom, grandma, and my friends. Unknowning of the pace of my breathing as I desperately tried to grasp my emotions.

My stress and anxiety climbing higher with each panicked breath. All those late nights I stayed up studying as much as I can for the midterm exams, catching up to me. I even forsaken eating as to study so I can at least get a passing grade. And the times I didnt spend studying was spent training to try and get my mind to focus on anything rather than fully face the reality that I no longer live in a world with my dad in it.

When was the last time I had a fulfilling meal? Three days?? And the time before that?? I dont even remember, the pounding in my head preventing me from thinking too much. All I can think about is what caused this stupid meltdown in the first place, my frustrations climbing higher with my stress and anxiety.

Today was one of those days where it was hard to keep up my smile for people. In an attempt to cheer myself up, I made myself the same lunch my dad and I used to make together for later, excited to eat as this was my first actual meal in days.

As I stroll down the hallways to meet up with Kiri and the rest of the BakuSquad, someone in a rush, bumps into me full force, causing me to fall and drop my lunch on the floor. I only had a moment to grieve as I see my precious lunch splattered all over the floor before the person that bumped into me uttered a measly, rushed "sorry" before hurrying on their way, stepping my lunch in the process.

I stayed there in my position on the floor, looking at my lunch with grief. I know it was stupid to start crying over something that can be replaced with something else that Lunch Rush made, but there the crocodile tears were. My heart and mind had wanted that lunch.

Without thinking I got up and ran out of school and towards the dormitories, deaf to the calls of my fellow 3A classmates and the incoming call on my phone.

I was brought back to the present by the sound of pounding coming from my dorm door. I was still fighting for control, not able to send a reply without my sobs mixing in with my voice.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" A familiar voice sounded through the door. Of course it would be Kiri to be checking up on me. "I tried calling you to see where you were, but you didn't answer. Tsuyu told me she saw you running off upset when I went to go looking for you."

For some reason I sobbed harder, barely able to keep quiet.

"Princess/Prince, please tell me what's wrong, I'm getting really worried."

He stayed quiet for a moment, anxiously waiting for my response. And of course my body betrays me when an ugly sob wracks through my very being, unable to quiet it down.

"Princess/Prince, are you crying?!" Kiri's voice carried his panic and worry. "I'm coming in!" He warned before slamming the door open.

I barely raised my head to meet his worried crimson eyes as his giant frame took up most of the doorway, frozen. His expression falls at the sight of the giant crocodile tears running down my face, distress written all over my expression.

Without saying anything, he rushed over to my side, his big, warm hand landing on my back, immediately rubbing gentle circles as to comfort me.

"Baby, what's wrong? Tell me," he asked, voice trying to soothe me. I shook my head, unable to say or utter a word and I dropped my head again, breathing erratic. "You're hyperventilating, baby. You need to try and calm down a bit."

More sobs was the only thing I responded with. Hearing some shuffling, a moment passed before a soft calming melody sounded through the storm in my mind, along with the sound of gentle falling rain. It was the same several hour music track that I would usually listen to when something was bothering me.

I've always loved the sound of falling rain and ocean waves.

Kiri dropped his phone to the floor, letting the music wrap us in its soothing melody. He brought his hand to my cheek to gently bring my face up and face him. His expression sad as he gets a better look at my distraught, of the crocodile tears streaming down my face, of the deep sadness in my eyes.

Letting his other hand to join my face, he gently wiped away my tears as I tried to control my breathing. "Baby, you have to calm down. It's okay now, I'm here," he said in a gentle voice, bringing me up onto his lap, and wrapping his strong arms around me.

I clutch onto his uniform jacket, burying my face into his chest as I sobbed away, ruining his uniform with my tears and snot.

He gently rocked the both of us, bringing one of his hands up to my head as he softly brushed his fingers through my hair. "Shhh, baby. It's okay. It's okay," he whispered in my ear.

I don't know how long we sat there, listening to falling rain, Kiri rocking us, whispering calming words into my ear before my breathing was back to normal and my sobs turning into sniffles. Even long after I've calmed down, Kiri still held onto me tightly, grounding me from the storm whirling in my mind.

Only when I lifted up my head from his chest to look up at him did he give me a soft smile, reaching up to brush away strands of hair from my face and eyes. Then, Kiri reached over to his phone, pausing the music before turning back to me.

"Feeling better?"

I slowly nodded my head, my voice hoarse as I finally managed to give a reply, "Yeah, a little bit."

"What happened back there?" Kiri asked, his brow furrowed in worry.

Tears were already welling up in my (e/c) eyes, my bottom trembling as I fought to hold back the tears. Kiri reached up one hand to hold my chin, his thumb softly brushing my bottom lip.

"Please baby, I hate seeing you so distraught," he told me, eyes full of concern as he continued to stroke my bottom lip, as if trying to coax the words to come out, to explain what was paining me so much so he can fix it.

"I-" I stuttered, sniffling back the tears. "I miss him."

"Miss who, baby?" Kiri asked, confused.

"M-my dad," I said, voice now shaky as the tears started falling again. "I m-miss him so much."

Kiri seemed to come to the conclusion that I might have only been extremely homesick. "Why dont you go visit him today then? It's Friday, so you can just stay with him for the weekend."

I violently shook my head. "I-I can't."

"Why not, baby?" He started stroking my back again to try and comfort me.

"H-he died! Two months ago!" I sobbed, pressing my face to his chest again.

"Oh fuck. Shit, I am soo sorry baby. Why didn't you tell me?" Kiri asked, hugging me tightly to him. "I would've been there for you."

"I-I didn't w-want to w-worry y-you," I cried.

Kirishima started rocking us both again, his grip on me tighter as if trying to hold me together. "Of course I'm going to be worried baby. I have been worried about you. I noticed you've been distancing yourself for a while now, but I didn't want to make you talk when you weren't ready. God, I'm so unmanly, not realizing that you were in so much pain all this time." He placed his hand on top of my head. "I am sooo sorry, baby."

I sniffled, shaking my head. "D-Don't be. I w-was the one who d-decided not to t-tell any of you g-guys. I-it's not your f-fault."

"But why didn't you tell us baby? You know we all would've been here for you."

I shrugged. "I-I just wanted to be s-strong for y-you guys. I d-didn't want to w-worry any of you."

"Oh, babe." He pulled back enough to look at me. "You are strong. But it's okay to lean on us, on mee. Just because you're crying, doesn't make you weak. You're mourning, and its okay to cry when you're mourning. It just shows how close you are with your dad and how much you're missing him."

"But... But it feels like my fault though," I cried.

"What do you mean?" His brows furrowed again in confusion.

"I... I was there that night. The night he passed." I wiped at the tears even though it was fruitless with how the tears continued to fall. "We were all happily celebrating my grandma's birthday. We were all laughing. And I went to sleep a bit late that night. I noticed how his was position in his bed when I got up to use the bathroom, but I didnt think any of it. My dad sits in that position sometimes, and I know that he goes to sleep way later than me. And when I woke up at 11 the next morning because of my grandma calling for me, I got up to see what she needed. You remember, that my grandma cant really move around that well anymore?" I asked him.

Kiri nodded his head, remembering that I helped my grandma when the two of us had dinner with my dad and grandma. "So when I got up and headed towards her room, I saw my dad in the same position. But figured he must've just fallen asleep... Then I went to use the bathroom after helping my grandma, and when I looked closer, I noticed how swollen his feet were. I... I knew my dad was always sick and his legs getting swollen all the time, but... I-I just didnt think I'd find him like that." I cried, covering my mouth as another sob wracked threw me. "Vomit... All over the blankets and his bierd... A blood clot hanging from his nose-"

"Shhh, its okay, baby" Kiri hushed me, rubbing my back, "If it's too much for you, you don't have to explain anymore."

After waiting for my breathing to stabilize again, I continued, "I... I just feel like if I had checked up on him before I went to bed... Maybe... Maybe the paramedics would've been able to save him..."

Kiri grabbed onto my shoulders to pull me away so as to look me dead in the eyes with a stern look. "Y/n, listen to me. It is not your fault," he said firmly. "Okay? It is not your fault. Sometimes these things happen."

"But-" I started, but he cut me off.

"No but's. Okay? I know I havent known him as long as you, but I could tell from the first time I met him that he was soo proud of you. And probably still is." His words made me cry harder, my bottom lip trembling again as I tried to pull myself together in front of this amazing man in front of me. "There's no need to beat yourself up over this," Kiri said, pressing a kiss to my forehead as I started bawling my eyes out again. Kiri started rocking us again, holding me tight as I let out all my sadness and anguish.

"Shhhh... It's okay... Everything's will be okay..." He mumbled in my ear. "Let it all out."

We stayed like that for the next hour as I let out all my suffering, the scent of his cologne, the comforting words, and the sound of the music track all lulling me to sleep, my mind and body too heavy to fight it off.

I woke up to a dark room, the sun long gone over the horizon. I blearily blinked my eyes open, feeling my tears dried over the skin of my cheeks. All of a sudden, a warm hand slides under my shirt, rubbing a thumb on my stomach. A face was then buried into the back of my neck, a soft pair of lips kissing at the skin.

"Morning beautiful/handsome," came Kiri's sleep filled voice

"Mmnn what time is it?" I mumbled.

Kiri pulled away for a moment, turning to reach behind him for presumably his phone on my nightstand. Squinting at the glare of the phone, Kiri gave me an answer, "7 o'clock at night, so its just about dinner time." Dropping his phone back onto the nightstand, he resumed his position of spooning me, completely dwarfing my body with his giant frame. "You haven't ate lunch right?"

I shook my head. "Or breakfast. Or dinner last night. Or any meals for the past few days."

"What?" Kiri shot up, glaring down at me. "And the time before that?"

I shrugged, my brain too drained to think of a solid answer. "Couple days."

"Y/n!"

"I know, I know. I shouldn't be skipping my meals everyday. I should eat at least once a day."

"Is that why you look thinner? Cause you've been skipping your meals??!"

I shrug at him. "I was busy studying for the midterms. Besides I never went 3 days without eating something."

"That's not the point!" Kiri rubbed his hand down his face before looking at me with worry. "You shouldn't be skipping any meals or overworking yourself like this." He reached over to brush a lock of hair away. "Babe, my heart hurts at the thought of you not taking care of yourself."

I place my hand on top of his, leaning into his touch. "I know... I'm sorry. I didnt mean to worry you like this. I just... couldn't come to terms with reality so I busied myself to make me forget the pain. On the bright side I came up with this new, awesome ultimate move I've been dying to show you," I said with some excitement, trying to cheer him up.

He scowled sternly at me for a moment before sighing, shaking his head, any trace of worry and frustration gone from his face as a small smile took over his lips. "Alright fine." But then the stern look came back as he firmly told me, "But I'm not letting you skip any meals anymore, even if I have to force you to eat. And you're not doing no studying or training this weekend."

"Wait, but-" I tried to counter, stopped when the stern look in his eyes intensified.

"No if's, and's or but's. Unless its yours up in the air as I fuck you so hard you wont be able to do anything this weekend but relax."

I blushed and swallowed loudly. "Good, now wait here while I go get you a plate. Bakugou's supposed to be cooking tonight." He leaned down to plant a kiss on my lips. Then another. Then another and another before pulling away only slightly to look into my eyes with that familiar dark look in his eyes, a smirk forming on his handsome face. "Maybe I should grab you two plates. You're going to need it for fuel for tonight."

My faced burned as I realized what he meant. He chuckled darkly before standing up and walking towards the door. "I'll be back in a few. And you better be stripped down to nothing by the time I get back." Turning back towards me with a seductive look. "Don't you worry about a thing, baby girl/boy. Daddy's going to take real good care of you this weekend." Then he opened the door and stepped out, closing the door behind him.

I gulped loudly, already feeling that familiar heat down below.

It was going to a long weekend.

Marinette hopped up the front steps to the Agreste mansion, a bright grin on her lips. She didn’t bother knocking on the large, wooden doors before pushing them open. That formality had been thrown out the window a while ago. 

“Good afternoon, Mlle. Marinette.” A woman at the front desk greeted her as she walked inside.

“Hello, Mlle. Marie.” Marinette smiled at the brunette. “How are you today?”

Marie returned her smile. “Oh, busy as usual. I’ve informed Felix that you arrived.”

Marinette nodded. “Thank you, I appreciate it.”

Soon after Nathalie and Gabriel’s arrest, they hired a new secretary to help sort through the Agreste business. She was a young woman in her twenties and extremely sweet. Marinette liked to consider her a friend.

“Marinette.”

The call of her name brought Marinette’s attention to the library across the main floor, where Felix was just now exiting. 

“Sorry for the wait.” He apologized as he closed the gap between them. “I was finishing a chapter from my book.”

Marinette chuckled. “So your book is more important than my company?”

“Of course not.” Felix laughed. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her flush against him. “You’re my top priority.”

Marinette hummed. “Is that so? I’m not sure I believe you.”

Felix snorted and leaned forward, placing a soft kiss on her lips. Marinette, of course, sank into it and wrapped her arms around his neck. No matter how often they kissed now-a-days, it still felt like the first time, skipping her heart and melting her insides.

They broke apart, if only for the sake of Marie, but Felix stayed close enough that she could still feel his breath on her lips as he said, “Do you believe me now?” 

Marinette giggled, touching her forehead to his. She hoped that this warmth flooding her chest never went away. “I don’t know.. You might have to try harder to convince me.”

A soft laugh passed Felix’s lips, but before he could pull her into another kiss, another voice rang across the mansion.

“Hey, Bugaboo! I didn’t know you were coming today.”

Marinette leaned back to give Adrien a smile. “Felix invited me. He says that we haven’t spent enough time together lately.”

“Didn’t he say that when you visited two days ago?” Adrien replied, a knowing grin on his lips.

Marinette nodded. “And the evening after he visited my house the night before that.”

“It’s still true.” Felix defended, lacing his fingers behind Marinette’s back to keep her close to him. “Anytime spent without you is a waste.”

A blush bloomed across Marinette’s cheeks, and she wondered if her smile could get any bigger.

“Is that my future daughter-in-law I hear?”

The boys perked up, immediately whirling around to see Emilie standing at the top of the stairway. She gave them all a warm smile and started her descent to meet them on the main floor.

“Mom!”

“Mother.”

Adrien jumped to help Emilie make her way down the steps, and Felix followed behind him, taking Marinette’s hand to drag her along as well. She would have walked with them anyway, but she wasn’t going to complain about Felix holding her hand.

Emilie waved Adrien away with a laugh. “Oh, don’t fuss over me. The doctor said that I need to work on moving alone anyway.”

“I just don’t want you to fall.” Adrien said, stopping next to her.

Emilie wrapped an arm around him in a side hug. “I know, dear, and I appreciate the sentiment. I still need to practice by myself, though.”

Felix stepped forward as well, and Emilie gave him a chaste kiss on the forehead before turning to Marinette and holding out her hand.

Marinette gladly obliged the silent request and moved forward to receive a side hug of her own. “How are you getting along? Does anything hurt?”

Emilie shook her head. “I’m doing wonderfully thanks to you, sweetheart. I just got the ‘okay’ to walk around without my crutches yesterday too. The doctor thinks I’ll be in perfect condition in about a month or so’s time.”

“That’s good to hear, Mlle. Agreste.” Marinette smiled. “I’m glad you’re doing well.”

They’d gotten quite a scare when Emilie didn’t wake up after Marinette’s attempts to heal her. Marinette had thought that she failed, that she went through all the trouble of getting her miraculous back for a lost cause. 

Thankfully, however, that didn’t turn out to be the case, as Emilie woke up a few minutes later. Her reaction to the magic hadn’t been immediate, but it still worked. That was all Marinette could have hoped for. 

Emilie shot her a playfully stern look. “Now, now, we’ve talked about this. Just because I’m your employer doesn’t mean you have to address me formally. Call me ‘Emilie’.”

Marinette chuckled. “I’m glad you’re doing well, Emilie.”

Emilie nodded, a satisfied smile gracing her lips. “Speaking of which, does my top designer have any new sketches for me?”

Due to Gabriel’s forced retirement, Emilie became the new CEO of the Gabriel brand. She started off by throwing away the strict guidelines that Gabriel had been wrapping around his staff and hired a handful of new people to stretch out the creativity. One of those people included Marinette.

“I’ve been experimenting with a few things.” Marinette admitted. 

“Good, good! Let’s all talk over a cup of tea.” Emilie beamed. She paused at the bottom of the stairs and turned to Marie. “Marie, darling, would you be so kind as to get us some Ruby Oolong tea?”

Marie stood from her desk chair. “Of course, Mademoiselle. Shall I bring it to the living room?” 

“Yes, please.”

The group moved to the living room, while Marie left for the kitchen. Marinette and Felix took the love seat, naturally, and Felix made sure there was little space between them as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Adrien and Emilie sat down on the three-cushion couch, both throwing a teasing smile to the couple.

“You two have no shame, do you?” Adrien joked.

Marinette giggled and leaned into Felix’s shoulder. “Should we?”

“No, not at all.” Emilie replied hastily. “It’s good to see Felix so happy.”

Marie joined them in the living room a few minutes later, holding a tray that had three cups and a small kettle on it. She set it down on the coffee table and began filling the cups with tea. Then, upon their requests, she put a certain amount of sugar or honey into each of the cups. 

“Please enjoy.” Marie said after handing out the drinks.

“Thank you very much.”

With her job finished, the secretary scurried out of the room so she could return to her paperwork, and Emilie continued the conversation.

“She’s such a lovely lady.” Emilie remarked, taking a sip of her tea. “Always willing to help.”

Marinette nodded in agreement. “It’s always a pleasure to talk with her.”

Emilie hummed and reached forward to grab the tv remote. She clicked a round button on the corner of the device, and the tv in front of them flickered on. A woman appeared on the screen, flashing the camera a bright smile as she talked. 

~Yes, two months has passed since big-time fashion icon Gabriel Agreste was taken into custody and charged with terrorism for being the infamous villain known as ‘Hawkmokth’. Unfortunately, his assailant known as ‘Le Paon’ is yet to be found.~

A smile found its way onto Marinette’s lips, and she glanced up at Felix.

“That’s quite a shame.” Emilie commented, holding the same smile. She threw Felix a mischievous look. “Don’t you think?”

Felix smirked. 

“Quite.”

“Thats so stupid! Why would you think that way?” Woojin screamed as soon as you both entered the apartment door.

You turned to him, your eyes starting to tear up, “Stupid?” you scoffed, “Is that what you think of me now?” You started to walk in your bedroom as you say, “I can’t believe you’re being like this right now.”

He grabbed your right arm that caused you to face him. He looked so furious, for a moment you were scared because you’ve never seen him like this before.

“I let it pass, Woojin. I let everything pass as if nothing happened.” You lightly bit your lip, “You, however, never tried to apologize for your behavior.”

You attempted to pull your arm from his grip but he began to tighten it. “What behaviour are you even talking about? Hanging out with my friends? Whats wrong with that?”, the anger and annoyance in his voice could be felt and it made your body tremble.

“Thats not the point. You’ve been cancelling on me and then I find out from Daehwi that you’re with them?” This time you were successful from pulling your arm from his strong hold.

He groaned as he ran his fingers through his dark hair. You hated seeing him upset, even more, it was because of you. You hated seeing him in this state.

“That was because we finished our practice early! I explained it to you already and you said it was fine! You were out too, so I don’t understand why I can’t go with them after practice!”, the way he raised his voice on you was intimidating and you had to take a step back away from him.

You took a deep breath before you let out everything, “This isn’t even about that anymore. Its not even about you going out with your friends.”

At this point, you were looking straight in his eyes. “I don’t feel prioritized, Woojin. I put everything aside just for you, but can you do the same for me?” a short sigh escaped your lips, “Of course not, right?”

A single drop of tear began to flow down your cheek and Woojin saw that. He rushed to your position and tried to wipe it with his thumb but you decided to turn you face away from him. All he could do was stare at your broken hearted expression instead.

“I only go out with my friends because I don’t want to stay in this apartment alone. Do you know how lonely it feels when you’re not here?” you stopped as you tried to wipe your tears.

“Most of the nights, I stay here waiting for you to come home. I stayed here alone waiting for someone who might not even come.” you paused to take a deep breath, “And you know whats worse? You would come home but, I would be sleeping and once I wake up, you’re gone again.”

At that moment, Woojin felt extremely mad and disappointed at himself that all along, he never realized it until you expressed your feelings to him. Realizations slowly started to hit him. All he could do was try to wrap you in his arms to console whatever you were feeling but as he stepped closer, you walked away.

You headed to the bedroom that you and him shared and grabbed your gym bag from the spacious closet. Woojin stood silently in front of the wooden bedroom door not knowing what to do.

Tears started to flow down your cheeks as you packed you clothes. Enough clothes to stay at your parents house for as long as you desire. Once you filled the bag with unfolded clothes that you “packed”, you zipped it and carried it on your right shoulder.

You gripped the bedroom’s doorknob for a few seconds before heading out to the living room to tell Woojin that you’re not going to stay here for a while. Maybe for two weeks, or longer. Until you’re both okay and ready to face each other again.

Right when you set your first step out of the bedroom’s door, you scanned apartment that you both lived in for almost 2 years now. With your blurry vision from the tears starting to form again, you spotted Woojin sitting on the couch with both of his hands on his face as he silently sob.

You could tell that he was still upset from the argument that you just had but what you didn’t know was that, as the realizations started to hit him, he began to despise himself. He promised you that he wouldn’t hurt you but right now, he was the one causing your pain.

Woojin lazily lifted his head and you could tell that he was crying as the area that surrounded his eyes were wet and his eyes were beginning to swell.

Breaking the eye contact, he looked at the gym bag that you carried on your right shoulder and shifted his eyes to your face. “Where are you going?” he said, breaking the awful silence.

He stood up from his seat and started to walk towards you. You, however, did not bother to look at him, “To my parents’ house.”

His eyes widened in shock. He pulled you into his arms and began to cry, harder than before. You bit your lips trying to hold your tears from falling but you failed. You were now both helplessly crying in each other’s arms.

“Why? Do you have to go there? We can fix this right now.”, Woojin said as he tried to catch his breath.

“I have to do this.” you paused and sighed, “We both have to take some time for ourselves in order to save this relationship. I’m not doing this to get away from you.” You pulled back from his embrace to face him. You took both of his hands and carefully held it as you said, “I’m going to do this because I love you.”

After saying those meaningful words, tears once again started to flow down your cheeks. You let go of his hands and cupped his warm face with the palm of your hands. He pressed his forehead against yours which made you close your eyes tightly.

He tightly gripped your hands, not wanting to let go. Not in any second, not it any minute, not in forever. But you had to. This wasn’t goodbye.

You trusted yourself that this decision will fix your relationship. You know that you and Woojin are stronger than this.

“Nothing can break us apart, right?” Woojin said.  “Nothing.” You forced a smile while looking at him.

He also forced to give you a warm smile back, “Forever?” he said as he offered you his pinky to complete the pinky promise.

“Forever.” You said as you interlocked both of your pinkys together.

And that was it.

You sighed as you absorb the peaceful view from the balcony of your room. It has been two weeks. Two long weeks since you last talked, since you last saw each other. Those two long weeks felt longer than it was supposed to. You missed him so much and you badly wanted to see him.

You stepped back into your bedroom and closed the glass door behind you to prevent the cold breeze from entering your room. You decided to let yourself fall back to your bed. You stared at the empty ceiling above you and take in the isolating silence. This type of silence was driving you crazy. The type of silence where you might lose your mind.

A whole lot different from the silence you got used to when you were with Woojin. Silence was comforting with him. It didn’t feel like this. With him, it was calm and peaceful. Your safe haven. Just lying down in his lap as he scrolled through his phone and you “read” your book. 

You weren’t reading though, you were quietly watching him from your comfortable position. Mesmerized by the peacefulness drawn in his face. How the corners of his mouth would casually lift up each time he finds something funny in the discovery feed of his Instagram. How he would carefully play with your hair trying to run his soft fingers as lightly as possible.

You didn’t know this but, each time you would actually read your book. He would secretly stare at you as well. Observing how your brows furrow and how your lips would frown a bit as you try to focus and read seriously. He would internally giggle to himself because he thought it was so cute. How your eyes would softly close because you we’re starting to drift to sleep caused by him playing with your hair.

He treasured and cherished those simple moments. He wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.

You sighed as you grab your phone from your side table, hoping that there would be some sort of notification from Woojin. You started to lose hope to see that there was still nothing.

You thought that maybe, he didn’t miss you like how much you missed him. You were starting to overthink that maybe he wanted to break up with you because you left him. Maybe your decision was stupid and that you should’ve just stayed there to fix it.

You shook your head attempting to brush off the thoughts you were having.

“Y/N!”, you heard your mom rush to your door while knocking as loud as she can.

“Yes, mom?” you responded to her, it was probably quieter than you thought it would be because she didn’t hear you as she kept knocking.

You groaned, not wanting to get up from you cozy position. You opened the door and your mom’s face lightened up.

“Come down now, dear. Dinner is ready, we’re all waiting for you downstairs.” she said with a warm smile on her face.

You gave your mom a slight smile and said, “I’ll be there in a few. I’ll just change.”

After changing, you headed out of your bedroom and heard your parents laughing. The sound of their laughter made you smile, but as you stepped closer to the stairs, you spotted a familiar figure giggling and sitting beside your usual seat in the dining table.

They began to notice your presence from the upper floor as they turned their heads to you. The laughter stopped and they all sent you a warm smile from the table.

You carefully rushed down the stairs towards the table with tears beginning to form in your eyes. A relieved yet bright smile formed in your face.

“Woojin?” you said as calmly as possible, trying not to breakdown in front of them.

He casually stood up from his seat and reached for the flower bouquet that laid in your empty chair. He offered you the bouquet, but you ignored it and hurried in between his arms instead.

He placed the flowers on the table and wrapped his arms around you, his right hand caressing the back of your head, which didn’t help at all because you sobbed even harder in his chest.

You heard his chuckle from the top of your head which made you pull back from his tight embrace. “W-what are you laughing at?”, you look at him, hands around his waist while pouting.

“I was going to ask if you missed me,” he smiled, “But from the way you hugged me, I already know the answer.” he gave you a satisfied smile.

You missed him so much, his smile, his face, his playful teasing, his presence, you missed everything about him.

You wiped your tears while still unconsciously pouting, which he found adorable. He embraced you in his arms again and whispered, “I’m sorry”.

You looked at his sincere face and said, “It’s okay now. I figured that I would have lost my mind if I didn’t see you any sooner. I missed you so much. I spent everyday with you for two years and two weeks of being apart killed a part of me.”

Woojin’s eyes began to water as you said expressed your feelings. “The longer time or days that we didn’t see each other, I became afraid of completely losing you.” he silently whispered in your left ear, “God, I would never want that to happen. You’ve become a huge part of m and I wouldn’t know what to if I lose that part of me.”

You felt your heart flutter upon hearing his words. He pulled back from your arms and said “Will you come home with me now? Home didn’t feel like home without you in it.”

You felt the sincerity in his voice and his eyes were filled of hope that you will.

“Yes, I will” you happily exclaimed with no hesitation, “During the time when we were apart, I realized that I would rather be in silence with you because it was comforting than be in silence alone and let thoughts run in mind, it was isolating.”

A thin line formed in Woojin’s lips. He pulled you back into his arms and closed his eyes as he pressed his lips on your forehead, and you did the same, you tightly closed your eyes cherishing the moment, cherishing him.

I don't think I've ever noticed before how neat Kaneshiro's palace music is. Well, at least the Laundering Office, anyway. What is this, exactly? It's some version of Price - that's the same melody line, but the instrumentation is all different. That's not to say that Price isn't good; it's just that I'm weak for strings & orchestra instruments in non- orchestral songs. It sounds darker and more intense. I love it

Actually, now that I think about it, it makes a lot of sense that Ryuji's tried to suggest team ups twice now, ever as soon as he learned they were a thing. He was on the track team, and the team aspect of that was very important to him. He likes cheering others on and being cheered on by others. Specifically by training and sweating and testing limits together - by fighting together. Of course ryuji is interested. Of course he is.

Man, I wish I had better context for the "you filthy fly on dirty money" line - I mean, obviously he's Beelzebub, who is apparently in charge of gluttony, but like, is that a phrase? Is this just a Beelzebub reference or is there more to it bc it feels like there's more to it and I don't understand bc cultural reasons

This was a non-reportable vehicle accident. The person's car who hit mine was a manual and somehow came down the hill and hit my car. No one was in that person's car.
