According to my mother, children automatically respect their mother if the father is in the picture bc the "kids see that their mother is being loved and cared for so they do the same" and thats why none of us respect her and get all rude and shit... theres either so much to unpack that i dont want to or nothing to unpack

#just. yeah okay fine whaddya want me to say #ur sons issues are their issues and my issues are mine i dont see where a father comes in or a father figure #i dont see what im supposed to do abt the absence of something that i have never fucking known is all #its confusing cause i dont know and im slowly forgetting what i did knoe #its always felt like fathers dping the bare minimum was overly celebrated #but what do i knoe i guess id have to ask someone with actual good father figures #and ive tried that already and got no closer to my answer #it seems like theres a lot of fear attached with fathers. even good ones bc of anger or whateevr or culturally #i dont see why that should be celebrated #i dont see why im supposedly someone with respect issues bc i dont have a father figure and hence dont know that fear #ive had mother figures but one of them had to leave and the other two both did thibgs that left bad tastes in my mouth for years #i wonder if thats my fault too. idk #cheese vents #if this qualifies as one i might as well tag it #btw if im not responding to messages its bc im either tired or studying so dw
