There are so many perfectly good reasons to hate Twilight (the handling of Native American characters; the lack of weight given to creepy behaviour (especially Jacob's); the fact that 14-15 year old Jacob is written like A Whole Adult just because he's physically mature; Renesme) but the books being weird are not one of them???

They're vampire novels, which as best I can tell have almost always been weird, and none of it (with the exception of imprinting on a baby) is like that strange? Just saw a Youtube short of a person complaining about the sparkly stone skin thing, which if that's your bar for horrific I need you to go out and read one actually weird novel, or go back to watching like, the Vampire Diaries or something
