I never really cared much about bougainvillea flowers honestly. They had a pretty colour, sure, but they were just there. I guess even they thought that they aren't special and hence never bothered to give off a flamboyant scent. But I was wrong. I had never really looked towards them the right way...not till I was in college. The main staircase of our college is adorned with bougainvillea. And it looks absolutely glorious. This is the thing about bougainvillea....It spreads this beautiful colour and warmth to the most mundane places. It lights up the dreary winters with its smiling branches. They are one of my favourite plants now. I had started my college with a dreary winter heart till the most beautiful bougainvillea decided to spread it's colours to me.
