The style of this narration is killing me bc it bounces between "here's X character's truth" and dry sections of lore super arbitrarily. Tomino I just need to know if you know which ideologies n pop sci are total junk. Pls.

#more recent chapters have framed 'overpopulation' as an ecofash rhetoric as it should lol #but iirc early on the concept was taken at face value in a drier section like 'yeah forced space immigration fixed overpopulation guys'#this translation has formatting errors lol so maybe its a case of not having scare quotes where they should be #but given how poor the pacing is and how the sci fi is so much better at physics than biology i still blame him tho lol #its a shame too bc i think expermention w format is warranted wrt newtype scenes #breaking the formatting to get across the immediacy of a change in consiousness #but having angle brackets AND free indirect narraration or whatever the POV is too much lol #pick one and do it well! i want the narrative equivalent of a cut in SO bad #itd make the numerous hypocrisies of the characters such more effective drama too #get clear cut dramatic irony instead of conflicting info that reads more like continuity errors #actually ig the 'amuro was still a virgin' punchline works well but thats the only obviously intentional example i can think of #literacy attempt
