The rudest and most annoying thing you can do to a cashier that isn't outwardly malicious or agressive is placing a full hand basket on their counter instead of taking the items out, in my opinion.
#speaking from experience as a cashier a little part of my soul dies everytime someone does it.#ita the principle of the thing ya know? i am not your mother or maid or slave. i am here to do my job and you are making it;#either unintentionally or intentionally more difficult than needs to be.#not to mention where i work i don't have a bagger more often than not#so an order that would have taken me only a couple minutes to ring up (and i have to manually input all prices as well) now can take;#5-10 minutes depending on size and if my bagger is there to help.#tldr; please empty your hand basket when checking out making your cashier's life easier will benefit you too (ie. i won't fucking hate you)#tea talks#(had someone bring a fucking push cart over and then just stare at me one time i almost commit manslaughter.)
