i saw the new ghibli movie yesterday, an experience that was a lot like seeing the green knight, very "that was cool but i have no idea what happened just now." except i think rewatching the green knight would let me connect some more dots, while rewatching heron movie would be purely for enjoying the animation and the vibes and not even try to grasp the plot because i think it would be detrimental to my enjoyment of it.

#i Enjoyed the sensory experience of watching this movie #but the plot feels like alice in wonderland in that things just happen and there's not much rhyme or reason to it #ive seen some people praising the themes and having readings but im not seeing it sorry.......#it's vague enough to function as a horoscope. u can apply any reading to it and surely it'll make some sense #it feels fake deep in the way that it brings up a lot of interesting concepts and doesn't extrapolate on any of them #and i don't really appreciate that? it feels like it's tricking me into applauding how it says so much when it hasn't said Anything #a story doesn't HAVE to explain everything but i appreciate at least a foothold #ALL THAT ASIDE i think it's worth watching if u like animation and Vibes #there's a part with a butch. we all love the scenes with the butch
