additional point to my last reblog: it's my experience that a lot of what i consider just normal parts of my culture and heritage have in the past 90 years been bastardised and fucked up by nazis and neonazis. i would love nothing more than to wear some of my jewelry and clothing in public here but here in germany those items may be a indication for "nazi" rather than "norwegian" because they appropriated the runes and norse symbols and have made it infinitely harder for any scandinavian that want to acknowledge our norse heritage
