Hello Everyone! It's me again, Charlie, and I want to share again my thoughts, learnings, and experiences taking this subject, "The Entrepreneurial Mind".
Plenty of experiences and learnings I gained while taking this subject. I got a lot of realization about Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs. I also experience a lot of new things while taking this subject, especially in making the rejection therapy. I cannot forget this experience because this is the most embarrassing thing that I did in my whole life and because through this activity, I learned how to face rejection in life and how to deal with it. I also learned a lot about the lecture series we had last April 19, 2023. I learned that in doing a Startup you need first to understand and know what will be the best way to have a great Startup. In the lecture it was discussed by Ms. Keren Happuch Lacadin, which is all about STARTUP ECOSYSTEM means A location (physical or virtual) where startups in various stages and different types of organizations interact to build and scale new startup businesses. In this lecture he discusses forming a people because you can't start a Startup on your own; it needs collaboration and teamwork and different skills in order to have a great Startup. Aside from that, it needs to start with a great problem in order to have a great solution to have a great Startup, just like what she shared about her Startup. She also discusses the 1st transmission of knowledge and the 2nd development. In the lecture given by Prof. Shiela Poonan on the topic, Incubation Opportunities, I learned that exploring a start opportunity is a journey that is called. First, you need to set a goal, problems, and solutions needed in order to create a Startup. Avoid Distractions, just focus on your Startup and try to make it better. Make friends since it is teamwork you need to enhance a great impact on society and have yourself socialize in order to create a sense of relationship with others. Lastly, nourish yourself, by setting apart some time to read a book, run, or just relax, or any other preferable way. You must be healthy to have the ability to run a successful business. That's what I learned during the discussion. And lastly, in the lecture given by Dr. Gmaliela Dumancas on the topic of Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Transfer, I learned during this lecture is that Creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary or artistic works, images, symbols, etc., are protected by intellectual property rights. Intellectual property rights make sure that you profit from your work whether you develop a product, write a book, or discover a new medication. Universities, businesses, and governments can transfer technologies to one another in order to share skills, knowledge, technologies, manufacturing techniques, and other things. This method of knowledge exchange ensures that scientific and technological advancements are accessible to more users, who can then contribute to its development.

Hello Everyone! It's me again, Charlie, and I want to share the continuation of my thoughts, learnings, and experiences in making our rejection therapy and Empathy Map.
When making my rejection therapy, I came up with a lot of ideas, but most of them are very hard for me to perform. This is the most embarrassing activity/project that I did so far. This activity aims to help me face my fear by accepting rejections because an entrepreneur must have a strong heart that can withstand any obstacles that they are facing especially the pain of being rejected. In this activity, I learned that as an entrepreneur, I will be facing a lot of rejections ahead of me soon and I must have a strong and courageous mind and heart to face this and continue pursuing my goals just like (Gourani, 2019) said, "We all experience the dismissal of our affection and our ideas. While you can't avoid it, you can embrace and reshape rejection, especially when you're an entrepreneur".
I also want to share the experiences that I and my groupmates have in making our empathy map which is a group activity that our instructor gives us. But first, I would like to explain to you guys what an Empathy Map is. An Empathy map is a collaborative tool created by Dave Gray that entrepreneurs are using to gain a deeper insight into their customers. It is also a useful tool that helps us visualize the user's needs. Making an empathy map is not easy. The empathy map has seven sections: who are we empathizing with, what do we need to do, what do they see, what do they say, what do they do, what do they hear, and lastly what do they think and feel section. In making this activity as a group, we discuss and gather all the information we need to make this activity. After that, our leader assigns us one by one the different sections that we must answer to make the work more efficient. As a result of our discussions, we come up with the idea Home-Axis. Home-Axis is a website that helps the students at Central Mindanao University especially the incoming freshmen students leaving outside Bukidnon to conveniently find a boarding house near CMU even in their home. It is a website that endorses vacant boarding houses, dormitories, and apartments. We gather pictures from their individual vacant rooms to post them on our Home-Axis website. We give free endorsements to their rooms and charge a small amount to the students for every successful transaction. After formulating this idea, we conduct interviews with the owners of the boarding houses, dormitories, and apartments near CMU. In our interview, we ask the boarding house owners if they would allow us to take pictures and use their vacant boarding house to be endorsed on our website for college students who want to find a vacant room. The first owner we interviewed gave a question on what and how would we gain profits through posting it on our website. Then we answered that through every successful transaction done on our website. We told her that we would charge a small amount to the student who booked using our website. One of the owners that we interviewed happily agreed to our propositions, as it would also help them gather as many boarders as possible. It would also help them acquire good reputations and give free endorsements to their boarding houses. All in all, most of the owners that we interviewed and asked almost the same questions are positive and agreed to help us with this project because they see that Home-Axis are helpful for them also.

Beginning of the Journey
Hello everyone!! I’m Charlie and I just want to share my personal thoughts and experiences in taking the subject The Entrepreneurial Mind.
What lessons that I learned.
As I listened to the discussion with my instructor about the subject, The Entrepreneurial Mind, a lot of new things that I learned about this subject are very useful for me. I realized that all the things I learned in previous years about entrepreneurship or the entrepreneurs themselves are just the icing of knowledge if I compare it to the whole cake of what really entrepreneurs are. I learned that entrepreneurs are not just businessperson that has intrapreneurial mindset but also a person that stands out from the rest of the world due to their distinctive set of thought processes, methods, resiliency, and mechanism in coping in times of problems. I particularly learned a lot from the discussion about the behavioral patterns of entrepreneurs. It thought me a lot about etiquette, behavior, characteristics, and attitude that an entrepreneur must possess to gain success. I have learned also that as an entrepreneur, I must be familiar with the latest trends to cope with society so that I can come up with a wonderful business idea that will surely attract my chosen target market. I must also possess the characteristics of being flexible, a risk taker, a good storyteller, and a wise planner.
The second part.
Last few weeks Thursday 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, we don’t have class in the scheduled time in this subject, so I and my groupmates make use of the time to gather some information individually by interviewing the students, instructors, residents and other people here in CMU about the different problems in our society that they see or experienced first-hand. After the interviews, we discuss and brainstorm about the information that we gather in the interviews and then choose the most relevant point of pain that we are going to solve in an entrepreneurial way. Our team came up with a lot of ideas and suggestions and in the end, we managed to identify the point of pain that we are going to solve which is the difficulty and inconveniency in searching for apartments, boardinghouses and dormitories in CMU. Our solution to this problem is “HomeAxis”, a website that provides users useful information such as rental price, availability, location, privileges and services, to the different apartments, boardinghouses and dormitories near CMU. We also agreed that our target customers will be the students and other people that are searching for vacant boarding houses and dormitories near the CMU. We agreed that we can get income through this website from the students or anyone that are going to use our website, and from the owner of the boarding houses and dormitories by facilitating the transaction between them and the customers and then charging some percentage of the transaction. With this, we can create a win-win situation where both parties benefits.
The entrepreneurial road was never simple since it required viewing challenges as opportunities. You must be driven, passionate, and eager to succeed in business. Love your idea, work with love.
