Which artists inspire you right now?

oooo recently I've been more seriously diving into like.. vintage fantasy artists like frazetta, phillipe druillet, moebius.. that ilk! (I bought a book recently about them, it was a trash book, absolutely laughable as a piece of literature, never had a book that so strongly made me want to read This Book But Better before. But still it had a lot of wonderful illustrations and I actually feel the desire to Do Studies of the way these artists like.. used colour specifically as I try to nail in to what I really want my art to Be; or more accurately what I want to be able to Do with my Art)

But there's always the golden age of illustration folks like Kay Neilsen, John Bauer, bilibin, dulac.. and of course my modern fare like Hyde, Helen Mask, and Nemo (and many MANY others I don't have time to search out, nor would that be a helpful list sdjfhs there's a lot of artists on the internet.. and I'm not Great at keeping them All On Hand Always) but yeah, that's a little bit of the Right Now a little bit of the Always! I'm never sure if you can even See the influence of the things that inspire me in my art yet gdshasada as a lot of what my art Is came about from a very Technical place before I started really Exploring this kind of stuff, I can feel I need a great big Shift in how I do things again like I did waaaaay back in like 2011, but we'll see how it goes, change makes me nervous and changing your Art is Hard, especially when you can't 100% see the target.

he kinda got cut off by the speech bubble. sigh. OU YEAH. here+a bonus. i drew this for warmup a couple days ago and I kept wanting to color him as makoto yuuki then post it fraudulently for my enstars mutuals but I have a heart so I didn’t

also ALSO. since my brain goes a thousand miles per minute I forgot to add the above cut was inspired by a real life event ! though the reality is hardly as menial as taking out the trash ;P I try to seperate hws characters with present reality as much as possible but sometimes I steal from it. the two concepts are separate though related by comedy. anyways, check this out!
