#it's that the traveler and paimon guilt tripped her

Anyone kinda upset by the way the Traveler and Paimon talked to Furina during her story quest, particularly the beginning?
Like am I overthinking or where they rather rude and dismissive of Furina's feelings then?
Cause I understand the troupe at the end doing what they did because while they knew Furina did not want to perform, they don't really have the whole story or understanding of it.
I can even understand Neuvillette asking because Furina looked excited and he was curious and concerned about her.
But to me it really felt like both the Traveler and Paimon were trying to guilt trip her (not saying intentionally but yeah) plus being pretty dismissive of her feelings as I've mentioned.
I don't know maybe I'm overthinking it but it did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth... So I have to ask if anyone else felt that or if I'm just being overly sensitive

SAGAU,, water park
after the genshin characters (zhongli, xiao, childe, albedo, ei, yae miko, venti, diluc, kaeya, ayaka, ayato, kazuha, aether, paimon, lumine) found a way to leave teyvat and enter earth, you've been bringing them around to experience all the fun things in the modern world. and what's a better place to find some modern fun than in a water park?
reader's gender is not specified, as with most of my works. requests and imagines in my ask box are appreciated, but will take a while. :D
warnings: reader is implied to be rich because this is wish fulfillment and the fic was based on a water park with really expensive tickets so this is the only logical reasoning within the fic, a few suggestive themes because swimsuits (gender neutral) are generally just so, lots of stress and chaos, mentions of alcohol, extreme rides/slides, based on my experiences with water parks in the philippines. these aren't actual warnings and i'm just rambling, aren't i? ^^
perhaps bringing all of them to a public place at the same time wasn't your best idea and considering how chaotic the trip has been so far, it might as well have been your worst. at the moment, you were quite literally looking and acting like a stressed out single parent, chasing around your ten- eleven children. if you counted ei fighting children to the tiny slides being "a child". never in your lifetime did you think you'd have to babysit the uptight and lawful electro archon (you've been her tour guide in-game, but that doesn't count), but here you were, explaining to her how the area with the extremely cheerful colors was indeed meant for kids under 9, not for gods around 2,000. you tried dragging ei into the wave pool, a place acceptable for adults (or at least adult-looking beings), but she didn't seem to want to interact with the deep waters, choosing instead to sit inside your rented cottage and brood after you dragged her away from all the crying children she threatened for cutting the line. the shallow waters of said "kiddy area" were much more appealing to ei, but she's not even allowed to be there anymore. >:((
both yae miko and kaeya had a lot to say about ei's humiliatingly childish actions, although you noticed kaeya being careful with his words, intelligent even in his teasing — ei was still a dangerous being after all. they teased the poor archon's face into a shade similar to diluc's hair and taking pity on ei, you decided to tell them off. the two eventually went away to do more entertaining things (their words), stepping away to lay down under an umbrella's shade with heavily tinted shades and drinking glasses full of soju. you always suspected that those two would get along quite well and seeing their relaxed figures gossiping about everything and anything on sun loungers, it seemed you were right. unfortunately for you though, they found pleasure in targeting you with their teasing, praising your body in swimwear, often cornering you with flirtatious remarks and inappropriate offers.
moving on, you found yourself your own drinking buddy as well. though you and kazuha chose to drink grape juice instead of anything alcoholic, knowing his.. extremely low tolerance. for a few moments, you found peace with kazuha (and the still-brooding archon sitting in the corner of your cottage, now drowning silently in guilt). you two chatted a lot about your world, you told him about every thought that came to mind and he listened to you with an attentiveness that warmed your heart. you always knew kazuha was a wonderful listener and even when you enjoyed the man's tales of traveling, it was nice to have someone who'd give you time and space to talk as well. the free-spirited wanderer tried some slides and rides with the others a while ago, but he found that conversing with you excited his beating heart more.
but of course, peace never had a chance of lasting with your current companions. after a few minutes of complaining about how venti never finished his food and would always leave random chunks in the open, you were approached by a grinning childe. albedo, xiao, aether, and diluc following closely behind him. a strange combination the more you pondered on about it, but that thought flew out your head the moment ajax opened his mouth, "[name]! me and the others are gonna try out the biggest water slide in the place. is that alright with you?"
"sure, if you can handle it.. wait, why are you even asking me about this? aren't you all literal adults...?"
a blush appeared on the harbinger's face, a common sight when he was around you, "ah, yes- just making sure."
"mm. okay, fair. kazu, i'm coming with them, just to make sure they don't murder any staff on the way." you looked over to the man you were previously sitting with, unaware of the jealous looks being thrown at him by the others behind you. he only seemed to shrug, signaling to you that he was rather fine where he was (and would rather not participate in further chaos). knowing who you were with, you empathized with kazuha's decision to stay behind. if only you had the freedom to run away from your "acolytes", but you doubt they'd ever let you get away from them.
while climbing the stairs towards the massive slide, you realized who exactly childe was bringing with him. you were confused to say the least. the traveler and everyone else was an expected group of folk, but all five of them? you never considered them to be close despite the few weeks they've been in your world. and knowing diluc's deep hatred for the fatui, you were surprised him and the ginger even agreed to doing something together. you weren't complaining though, quite curious about their dynamic. you just wondered how and why they even agreed to this. you had no time to ask however as the screams of the poor tourists going down the slide immediately grappled your attention.
had you asked them, you'd have found out that it was originally childe's idea, aether had agreed to go along with it as he does with most things, and the two originally intended to invite zhongli. he was too occupied with an oddly feminine magazine, thinking it was a record of wisdom from your world. so he instead asked the adeptus next to him to go in his stead, encouraging his somewhat son to pursue fun and bonding time with other people. xiao reluctantly agreed, the promise of excitement (god, listening to zhongli talk about the magazine's advice column was boring) and almond tofu afterwards influencing his decision making. realizing that the slide required four people, childe and aether frantically searched for a fourth, the deafening screams of the people who were currently on the slide spurring on the bloodthirsty harbinger even more.
soon enough, they found diluc who seemed to be in deep conversation with a certain chief alchemist. it took a lot for them to convince the winery owner into joining, but after realizing that going on the ride was probably going to impress you, their mighty and benevolent creator, the one who took them in their beautifully decorated home despite the constant hassle they brought, diluc relented and agreed, if only to showcase his bravery and strength.
now here they were, climbing into the giant floatie they were gonna ride down the slide. childe acted with excitement in his every step, he was quite familiar with the hydro element and he's had his fair share of gliding down waterfalls, slides gave about a similar feeling so he wasn't nervous at all — in fact, he was thrilled, almost psychotically so. unlike childe, diluc appeared quite stoic, quite emotionless about the whole ordeal. however, to anyone who paid attention to the tight grip he had on their floatie's handles and the sweat subtly streaming down his face, they would see that his expression of stone couldn't be further from what he was truly feeling. unfortunately for diluc, a cetain snezhnayan noticed, and he was intent on picking on the red-head later. aether felt quite a bit anxious. no kidding, he's faced many dangerous opponents in the past, but water slide physics had never been one of them. he was excited nonetheless, ready to feel the familiar rush of adrenaline flow through his veins. and as for the adeptus, he was rather.. unsure about what he was feeling. he couldn't remember the last time he felt fear, he was probably one of the strongest beings from teyvat, but here, the usage of his powers were prohibited and one couldn't exactly combat a slide. someway, somehow, his heart rate was faster than usual as he felt an unfamiliar emotion bubbling up in his stomach.
"wait, 'bedo, aren't you going to join them?"
"oh no, they only needed four people. i just tagged along to make a few observations." he explained to you, the waterproof camera you bought him a while ago held securely in his hands.
"for research purposes?" you questioned the brilliant alchemist with a mischievous glint in your eye.
"you can say that, but mostly for entertainment."
you smirked at his response. lately, albedo had appeared more human around you and the others. at first, he was so caught up in researching and trying to understand every single thing in your world, he had forgotten to truly take anything in. but recently you found that he finally let himself just enjoy the moment, letting loose in every new scenario he was introduced to.
albedo was chuckling with you when it was finally childe, diluc, xiao, and aether's turn to sway around the circular looking slide. you never pegged diluc to be a screamer, but out of all four of them, his deep baritone voice was the one heard throughout the resort. his body was rigid and visibly in a state of panic as they continued to move in rapid speeds, you were worried he was going to jump off the floatie mid-slide or something, but to your relief, diluc held on throughout the whole ride. you never thought childe would scream as well, but he did scream a bunch (like a pussy) before he started laughing in excitement (and at diluc's facial expressions, ones that albedo were lucky enough to capture). aether was fine for the most part, his vocal reactions mostly ones out of enjoyment. xiao was even more so rigid than diluc, seemingly frozen in place, silently panicking. he looked like he was holding on for his dear life and for a moment, it awakened your protective instincts.
as you descended down the building with albedo to congratulate your boys for being so god damn brave, you were greeted with the sight of the cavalry captain teasing his brother's unexpected reactions and yae along with ei curiously inquiring aether about the ride, considering taking a turn. zhongli didn't look so well, he looked rightfully concerned for his loyal warrior. despite childe's attempts at hyping him up, the former geo archon refused and left to tend to xiao instead, leaving a spot for the cavalry captain to take.
you discovered a lot of things that day. apparently kaeya, unlike his brother, only grunted when faced with extreme fear. yae remained more composed than ei, even finding the breath to make fun of her during the extreme ride. it came as a shock when you heard the electro archon shriek and hiss like a cat while they were sliding down. albedo's reactions were quite emotionless, only ever making a noise around the part where they fall down. diluc tried again a second time and safe to say, his reactions were quite better than the first time, his screams decreasing significantly in volume. you even had a try yourself and you finally understood why your companions reacted the way they did.
ei, yae, kaeya, and albedo made a good quartet, you thought. it eventually came time that they had to close the rides and after all of the screaming and taking turns on different slides, the four had stayed together as a group. curiously joining their conversation, you found that they made a wholesome dynamic — often conversing about the mundane things in life then it escalating to some philosophical thing, all the while sophisticatedly uplifting one another. yae promoted her, uhh, interesting light novels to albedo at some point and you have never seen him look so flabbergasted yet morbidly curious as when yae explained the premises of some of her favorite books. kaeya just laughed at the interaction between the two, a bit tipsy already. he had learned to embrace the insanity that was guuji yae's interest in novelaw a while back when they were talking.
you had wandered shortly after joining their bickering, exploring the little shops around the water park resort. you bought a trinket for every character you had brought with you, somehow always finding something that reminded you of someone. for venti, it was a pair of socks that had blue green stripes wrapped around them. for aether and paimon, you bought three wooden keychains (one for you to match) that had interesting markings. for diluc, you bought more sunscreen because he always looked so sunburnt despite the many times you rubbed sunscreen all over his body. you chuckled to yourself, you were shopping like a cheap grandma on christmas.
you ran into paimon, lumine, ayato, ayaka, and venti shortly afterwards. only then did you realize that you hadn't seen them much the whole day. apparently, they had been enjoying their own little spa-and-shop day with your credit card (god bless its soul). as much as they wanted to spend time with you the whole day, they'd rather abuse the resort side of the water park than add on the list of children you were tasked to babysit.
"i thought after shopping, you'd finally get rid of those blinding speedos, oh dear bard."
"that's what i kept telling him!" chipped in the ever so chatty paimon.
safe to say you got a whole excerpt about how wearing bright yellow speedos to a water park was nothing to be ashamed of. in fact, in venti's own logic, you should be praising his charmingly good looks and drowning him in attention for wearing such seductive and scandalous clothing. ayato was very, uhm, to put it, disturbed by the whole conversation. you caught lumine shooting him a look of pity more than once throughout the bard's ramblings. you did your best to reassure the kamisato siblings not to worry as it was all just harmless banter with the bard. talking came as one tedious task with the anemo archon constantly whining and sputtering out utter bull next to you. you were this close to shoving a bunch of swimwear into his mouth to shut him up.
but alas, the time came that you had to head home and venti's demise had once again slipped away from your hands. you refused to sit near him, instead forcing him to take the car with the annoyed diluc and the entertained childe. if it were any other night, venti probably would've gotten along with the sly ginger, but the harbinger was instead shot down with the brooding bard's remarks about how stupid he looked. your poor personal driver (amongst many other paid drivers) had to tolerate the frustrated banter tossed around by the three as well as a certain paimon joining in only to stoke the fires of their anger. poor aether did his best to ignore them and just stare out of the car window, wishing he had took the car with you and his sister instead.
you sat down in between lumine and ayato, deciding their company was the most pleasant and well, least stressful to deal with. you laughed along the two, updating them on all the escapades that had occurred a while back — a thoroughly flustered xiao glaring at you three from behind you, zhongli next to him excitedly chatting with ayaka about another magazine (meant for teenage girls) he had found inside one of the stores in the water park.
"so that's what me and lumine heard."
"trust me, i was shocked too. albedo looked like he was having a eureka moment."
"somehow i don't think i can view the winery owner in the same lens after this."
overall, you would rate this day 8/10. fun, really fun. you almost died at the sight of your favorite characters in swimsuits, but it would've been a worthy death. the bonding and the rides were all really fun as well. it would've been 10/10 had venti not been flexing his speedos (and ass) to his fellow archons the whole time.

She’s been acting as the Hydro Archon for five centuries. Of course it will leave a lasting mark on Furina. She needs a long, looong break.
And this is what I hate about the Traveler and Paimon. Furina just said that she wants to take a break from acting and respect her boundaries, but these two are doing the opposite and being insensitive pushy jerks.
Paimon is being rude to Furina and even guilt trips her. I expected better from the Traveler especially since he knew what Furina had gone through, but no. He’s also persistent as Paimon.
No means no. Furina already said she won’t take the role, so move on.

Step siblings spending time with you day! (ft: kazuha, kamisato siblings, ragnvindr brothers. <bonus character: xiao, scaramouche>)
Kazuha
Free man indeed. I feel like everyday is spending time together with siblings when it comes to him.
U can't tell me he hands you a bug u didn't like to scare you, then he'll share a fact about them to make it less scary, though you still fear them u will try to overcome ur fear by coming closer to the bug while kazuha hiding behind a tree smiling.
Let you go on a adventure on a ship with beidou if u behave (you behave all the time and you often see beidou.)
Carry you randomly just to hear you whine about you being embarrassed to be piggy back by their older brother.
He won't ever use "step siblings" on you when he's introducing you to his friend.
"this is my siblings___" :D
"you two don't even look alike--"
"they're my siblings." :)
"whoa okay okay, they're ur siblings I guess."
Kamisato ayaka and ayato
"don't steal their boba ayato! We buyed you 2.."
You can't tell me (again) that he doesn't bully you to see you cry for fun. (typical brother)
Ayato probably dressed you up in a weird combo clothes and call it a unique style.
"thoma, great time. Take a good look at the clothes combo I did to __"
"o-oh waka, it looks amazing."
"im gonna be the greatest model in the future!!"
"oh yes you will"
Thoma made a doll that looks like you, ayato and ayaka and now it's your toys.
"im sorry ___ I'm not really the best at making dolls.." (hes lying)
"mine now." yes and now it belongs to you. Not even ur siblings can touch them.
Though they're so busy dealing with the clan, they would do anything to spend time with their little siblings.
Kaeya & diluc
Kaeya? Bully? Absolutely but yk he also pampered you. He likes to bite that mochi cheek of yours.
"what's for dinner?" diluc said confused since it's kaeya who wana cook dinner.
"today is a special menu. I introduce you... ____ chicken roast!"
(you dressed up like a chicken with carrot and a potato on ur hands)
"first of all, where did u get that costum- nvm don't ANSWER it. Second.. I thought u were gonna be serious about the dinner stuff. I even send adelinde home early today."
"oh..."
"oh oh! Maybe diluc can cook!!" you suggest.
"only this time."
Diluc? No he won't let you enter the tavern at all. After all you are still underage. "aww... Why does floaty cute paimon get to get inside while I can't ?!"
"because I trust her friend, traveler that she won't be drinking. Even paimon herself said she don't drink and only drink apple juice or sweet drink."
"so you don't trust me..?" oh god the guilt tripping...
"i- uh.... Ugh fine. You better behave or ill send jean to look after you." you giggled and nodded. Holding ur big brother hand to get inside made him smile.
If diluc is not available then kaeya is. If both of them are not available you would be sitting in a living room with adelinde comforting you. While they're doing their own work, they can't help but feel uneasy. Like something is missing. And that's where it hit them. It's siblings spend time together day.
Diluc was fast to get home since he can rely on his worker to cover his job, meanwhile kaeya would speed up and finish his work asap and went back home. There he will see diluc terribly comforting you while he took a deep breath and ready to spend a day with both of you.
Bonus!
Xiao
Siblings spend time together day? Absurd. Why would an adeptus let go of his work just to spend time together with you?
"brother.. where are we going?" you ask curious. "somewhere." - -
No no that won't work. They might be traumatised if they saw me kill some lame hilichurls. So what did he do? Put blindfold on you.
No!!! Ugh I am not having any idea. Why does this day even exist I can just send them to hu tao but no, hu tao will do a massive chaos if ____ is with her.
Ah. "lets play a game. Whoever got to Mr zhongli first can get free ice cream." i can't believe I said this but who am I kidding it's a child I'm taking care of. "okay! I'm gonna beat you!!"
"okay, ready? 3..2-" there you go with ur little leg running towards Mr zhongli. "hey I didn't even count to 3 yet-" but. I couldn't say that out loud, seeing them running to Mr zhongli kinda make me relaxed a bit. All these years I've been slaying demons and not once I've ever thought about smiling on a mortal doing silly thing just for an ice cream.
Just as he was about to walk towards you, you happen to trip on some random rock (zhongli go get ur rock). Not thinking at all he dashed towards you grabbing you throwing you up in the sky before catching you.
Never thought an adeptus could do something like that..
"never. Never again. Be careful ____! You could've gotten hurt if me or Mr zhongli isn't here. It's not like I'd leave you alone but still."
"hehe again brother again!" what. "what no! That's dangerous."
After alot of begging he throw u up in the sky with a permission of Mr zhongli. You could see the beautiful view from up there. Your eye shine and you were never been happier.
None of you want this to end. <3
Scaramouche
Siblings spending time together day? Who is he kidding. He is NOT doing that.
"brother you look funny with a mask and a hat! Here let me help you." you said as you take his hat and put it on ur head. "that's just an excuse to take my hat huh."
"can we go to that dango shop? I've seen people eat it and I wana try it!" you take his hand and ran towards the shop. "and who's gonna pay for it huh brat?" both of you know its just his ego personality. He doesn't mean that word. "you of course!" you smiled. That once a smile that made his own mother disowned him. Ridiculous.
"hey are you okay? Did he do anything bad to you?" a random guy ask you. "I'm okay??" you are so damn confused but your brother scaramouche seem to get that alot. Separate. That's what he's trying to do.. Dirty little shit.
"hey ____ take this mora and buy me and you a balloon." he said as you nodded. Scaramouche and him watch you skip a step to the guy who sell balloon.
"care to explain on why would you say that to them?" demanding him to speak but that guy seem not to get a hint that he's in fact a harbingers. Eleven fatui harbingers to be put? How dare he talk back to scaramouche. He even dare to look down on him.
"you treat them like a toy. Nobody treat a kid like that! You better walk away before I call a soldier to make you go away from that innocent child."
.....
"you are ruining them."
Snap. That's it. He waste no time and take his hand to a place with least people. "listen here. I didnt know you were so bold to talk to a in fact a harbingers with this manner. And I didn't even know you had the nerve to look down on me as if I was a pathetic shit to you. They're my siblings. If you or ur man land a hand on them you won't be seeing sun nor star."
Scaramouche face expression soon turn satisfied when he piss himself like a 8 year old kid would after getting spanked by their mother.
He came back and see you sitting on a bench with a sad face. "what's the long face huh.."
"you were gone without me! I don't wana be apart from you not even a second!!" you huffed. He was mute for a second before he smirk. "silly brat, I would never go anywhere without you. Just now someone want to talk to me which I end up yelling at them for ruining the moment I am having with my little siblings."
"can you imagine? 'sir, we need you' and I don't. I dont need them and they better be begging more if they rlly want me to come but no they gave up so soon." (I'm targeting you scaraboobs nations /hj)
You smile turn into laugher. "you're the best brother I could ever ask for!" you hugged him as he took ur hat off before hugging you back. "i know."
Hello! It seem that you have reach the end of this headcanon. I do hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoy writing this. I am opening a request where u could request me some platonic hc! I accept every character, so you wouldn't have to worry about ur fav character not being there.
Well since you also read that, how about a follow? No pressure of course. Hehe <3 have an amazing day/night on wherever you are, a reminder that you are incredibly awesome and I hope you will be happy until the end.

Genshin things that I will ignore in canon:
Diluc and Kaeya exchanging letters to each other during his 3-4 year revenge quest
Kid Kaeya was a perfect angel who never did anything wrong
Adult Kaeya is a perfect angel who never did anything wrong
(Let the man be morally dubious that’s when he’s most interesting. Plus his recent characterization is inconsistent with his earlier one and his bio lore)
Yae Miko tormenting every single Inazuma guy character (her silly rivalry with Itto can stay it’s funny)
60% of the Venti alcohol jokes (they aren’t funny most of the time. The only time it’s funny is times like when Beidou wouldn’t let Venti and Kazuha drink despite them both being of legal drinking age)
Paimon being the travelers voice (I’m in the minority where I like Paimon as I feel she’s the travelers annoying little sister and with that in mind she’s written rather well but I do agree with everyone who’s annoyed with how she speaks for the traveler. While I’ve never published any fanfics in a lot of my ideas Paimon ends up getting a bit shafted due to me not really knowing what to do with her because outside of being the travelers voice she doesn’t do all that much.)
Most of the Inazuma main story (if I want to I can be willfully ignorant and enjoy the story but after reading gold-rhine’s Inazuma re-write I can never go back)
The traveler being a jerk to Furina at the beginning of her story quest. (In character for Paimon but the traveler I think would at least be a little more understanding and would try to get Paimon to stop guilt tripping her)
Finally, the traveler fails to get Charlotte any scoops from the fortress of meropide. (I know why but they did waste a bunch of her money and that feels mean)
#genshin impact#extra: 90% of fandom jokes#the aren’t funny and most end up as wild mischaracterozations#tbh most of what I’m annoyed with in Genshin either has to do with gameplay or fandom#I’m pretty good at enjoying stories regardless of quality#one of my favorite games is Fire Emblem Fates#a lot of my Kaeya beef comes from Diluc being my first fave#I read a bunch of good fics that treat the whole thing with nuance and how neither of them were in the right and they both screwed up#and now like 90% is all about Kaeya#or shipping#I’m neutral to most ships#I got Stockholm syndromed into like Neuvilette x Wriothesley#I have at one point activly seeked out Childe x Zhongli#I’m fine with a bunch of popular ones (JeanLisa Eulamber etc)#but so much of Genshin fandom is shipping and because of that it’s so hard to find fics of characters I like without it#that’s why I got stockholmed into liking Neuvilette x Wriothesley#because so many interesting fic premises had it in there it was like or be unable to read those fics#plus I like aro/ace Diluc and I actively headcanon a lot of characters to be somewhere on the aro and or ace spectrum#this is less of a thing I’m ignoring and more of a this makes no sense thing but#in the long ass multi update fontain side quest there is a girl who grew up in the fortress of meropide#and it seems ooc for Wriothesley not either have not noticed her existence or to have done nothing about it#but I can’t ignore it because the quest wouldn’t make sense without her#so for me he knows and is trying to do something about it but can’t get her out for whatever reason#idk something about her not existing on Fontaines people records of something#the least he could do is ask some of the guards to look after her and keep her safe and happy#that’s my explanation

More Than Friends
Summary: The young Yaksha decides to join you on a trip to Mondstadt.
Pairing: Xiao, reader
Warning(s): none
Requested: nope
Songs: none
Xiao knew that one day his karmic dept would catch up to him. He just didn't like the fact that every day, he started feeling on edge. They started out as small illusions and taunting whispers that would mock him. In a way, he agreed with what the voices told him. The hideous things they whisper to the adeptus were enough to drive someone mad. He knew one day that the poison within him, the guilt, his karmic dept would soon swallow him whole.
He was ready for it to happen, but then he happened to meet a traveler from another world. Wherever they hailed from was no interest to him as he had other more important tasks to handle.
He was fine. He had to hold back the darkness for just a little longer. Just until he was sure that everyone in Liyue would be safe if he were to suddenly go away. As a Yaksha, it was his duty to be of service to the people of Liyue and the God that walked amongst the humans there. Battling demons was nothing new to him but he did it to keep others safe. Killing was no easy task to someone who hasn't held a weapon but to Xiao, he's trained himself to take a life - if not thousands to protect. It's been thousands of years and still the memories of the dreams he's eaten had always haunted him even now. Even when he was forced to, even if it's been several hundred years, Xiao will never forgive himself.
Xiao's amber eyes shift to look at the traveler, she was coming down a grassy hill with Paimon floating behind her. Though something catches her eyes and she quickly rushes over to a tree near him. He uncrossed his arms from his chest and walks over to see what she has found.
"Is that another sweet flower?" Paimon asked as she placed her hands onto her hips, seeming unimpressed.
"Yes." She answers as she places the flower in a small bag of herbs.
"Do we always need to pick those up when we come across them?"
"I can't pass up an opportunity. It's hard finding them sometimes." She said and looks over to Xiao with a small smile.
Her eyes were always so bright under the sun.
"Xiao, are you okay?" She asked as her fingers touched his shoulder. His hand moves to hold her hand for a moment and moves it off him before moving his hand to his side.
"Yes, I was merely thinking about something." He answers as he looks to them both.
"What about?" Paimon asked.
"It's nothing.." He said as they continued to make their way through Mondstadt. He only agreed to come with the traveler due to the fact that she would be alone. "Let's continue on. It'll take a while longer if we stay here." The two nod and followed on the path to Mondstadt.
Xiao let's his eyes wander before looking at (Y/n) as she walked over and picked up another sweet flower.
"Why are you doing that?" He didn't mean to ask but the question had slipped out.
"Do you really want to know?" To which he nods. "Okay.. When I had first came to this world. I had a habit of collecting flowers. But the first time I had made Almond Tofu I had accidentally put sweet flower into the dish." She chuckles as his eyes widen and his brow raised in question. "I know but I only realized my mistake after! On the plus side, you seemed to like it."
"It does make sense now." She looks at him confused. "Why you're dish always taste sweet. I didn't want to say anything about it."
"So do you like it?" She asked.
"It is.. passable as a dish."
"Yeah, but did you like it?" She asked again as she steps closer, making him look away to the side.
"Paimon would take that silence as a yes!" The two looked at the small flying person who held her hands behind her back with a smirk as she looked at the two. "Now, come on you two! Move you're butts! Paimon wants to make it in time to eat.." she floats on ahead of them.
"It's not fair when you can fly!" (Y/n) sighs.
"Are you really that tired?" Xiao questions catching her off guard.
"Only a little." She admits with a blush. He sighs trying to think of their options. He didn't want to stop. Paimon could float but she didn't have the muscle power to hold an entire human being. This left him with one option.
"I can carry you."
"What?" She looks over to him.
"Yes, I can. Don't tell me you think im incapable of such an easy situation. I'm an Adeptus, remember?" He reminds her.
"I know but I wouldn't want to bother you." She shakes her head with her cheeks becoming more and more flustered as he approached.
"This is no bother." He replies as he simply picks her up bridle style.
"But wouldn't it be better on you're back?" He rolls his eyes with a small sigh. His breath fans her bangs, his cool breath cooling off the heat from her skin.
"You would have less of a chance getting hurt if an enemy were to attack from the front. I would at least have enough time to put you down and attack." He explains and she's left in silence as she looks up at him as he starts to walk them to their destination. Aside from Liyue, he somehow found himself caring for the traveler more than he could understand.

can i just say furina's story quest might have been fun but the glaring issue i chose to pretend wasn't real while playing but couldn't quite ignore is how shit furina was treated at the beginning.
like god. paimon just kept insulting her living situation, pressured her to perform after she clearly said "no", and then after kept guilt tripping her over it, and the traveler just did...nothing about it (in the english version. i can't speak east asian languages so i wouldn't know about them) like hoyoverse this is why people Hate paimon

can i just say that i am EXTREMELY unwell especially after kaeya visited dawn winery
lisa knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she told kaeya that he was the perfect person for the job so props to her bc if i can't reach through the screen and start their reconciliation arc then damn am i glad to have lisa start it for me
kaeya saying "...But I haven't been back there in a long time. This could be quite difficult to accomplish in just a single trip" they are missing each other and yet they won't talk to each other :( they are dumb <3
ALSO lisa saying "...and you know how diluc thinks better than anyone." YES HE DOES!!!! YES LISA HE DOES!!! YOURE SO RIGHT FOR THIS!!!!!! even though she's trying to extort diluc she's starting their reconciliation arc <3
kaeya saying that he'll head out right away with nearly no hesitation is so. he misses diluc so much :((((( also he was glad to have the traveler going with him bc going by himself would be so nervewracking and and and
walking up to dawn winery and paimon asks kaeya a question but he's so lost in thought that he just doesn't hear her. hey what if i cried. because. the last he was there was probably That Night, at least it seems that way from how he's talking
also can we just appreciate diluc's face when he sees kaeya:
this isn't disdain, it's just general annoyance at him and they're brothers, your honor
kaeya immeditely commenting on how cold diluc was being and then proceeding to follow it up with "...almost enough to make me feel unwelcome here, master diluc" because the last time kaeya was here he WAS unwelcome, at least, diluc really made it seem that way. and, for a time, maybe he was unwelcome
kaeya certainly believes he's always been unwelcome, which is shown later in the scene (we'll get to that)
"Don't forget that this is my home, too. I'm fairly certain that taking a trip home during festival season is a universal custom, common to all the cultures of Teyvat." NOTICE THE PRESENT TENSE HERE. "this is my home, too" damn right kaeya, it is, and even if he just said that to get on diluc's nerves, it at least WAS his home. one that he's felt unwelcome in for four years
kaeya being like "bitch the knights r poor and youre literally the wealthiest person around" and diluc is like "okay so what smh" they are BROTHERS
"everyone's just doing the best they can for Mondstadt" for Mondstadt. kaeya saying that to diluc's face, basically telling him that he's doing this for the good of mondstadt, and defending the knights of favionius in the process??? yes king, slay
kaeya guilt tripping him has me ROLLING ON THE FLOOR
"Anyway, speaking of the knights, everyone dearly hopes that you'll rejoin our ranks again one day. Then we'll be one big, happy family again."
TALKING ABOTU BEING A FAMILY AGAIN. AND A HAPPY ONE AT THAT. kaeya's telling diluc that everyone misses him and wants him to come back and then not-so-subtly sneaking in the part about family... i am. crying. he also looks SO happy while saying that??? that's such a sweet smile :(
"give that silver tongue of yours a rest" diluc knows EXACTLY what kaeya's doing and i think if kaeya kept saying things like that, diluc would be more likely to cave in, and diluc doesn't want that bc he still has these walls around him. also diluc just knowing kaeya's doing that on purpose shows how much he still knows him
diluc giving the knights wine :))
also yes paimon stay sober <3 please
okay the interesting part here that the traveler and paimon mention:
klee talks about razor finding his mother, since she's thinking about her mother all the time and loves her so much, and she wants razor to feel that same love from a mother that she has
kaeya talks about razor growing up too fast, and that he's still looking for his father. that. that is self explanatory. plus with the way he's saying it directly to diluc, i--
anyway, onwards
THEN DILUC SAYING THAT HE UNDERSTANDS WHAT KAEYA'S SAYING, I"M
"Always eager to help, and never forgets to return a favor. That's the Master Diluc I know."
this quote is interesting for multiple reasons. for one, it shows that when kaeya thinks of diluc, he sees the part of diluc that he knew when they were kids, which carries over to say that he doesn't think about That Night, and that he doesn't blame diluc for what happened then (which is only proven more by Hidden Strife)
DILUC ASKING THEM TO STAY FOR A MEAL AND KAEYA DECLINING BC HE DOESNT THINK HED BE WELCOME
ADELINDE COMING UP AND SAYING "NO STAY HERE" BECUASE DILUC WAS JUST GONNA GIVE UP ON TRYING TO SPEND TIME WITH KAEYA probably bc diluc thinks kaeya resents him for what happened and he doesn't want to push too far :(
kaeya. diluc himself invited you. they are so dumb <3
adelinde cares for him so much and him breaking out of his normally silver tongued ways and just saying "oh, uh..." bc he doesn't know how to respond to that!!!!! he's learning that he's welcome there and that they still care about him and that they want him to be there and to stay!!!!
DILUC AHAHHAAHH "What happened to your swagger? Lost for words?" diluc coming in with THE best line so far. that brotherly jab <333
kaeya immediatley being sheepish and looking kinda embarrassed at his own slip up and then diluc guilt tripping him back with "surely you wouldn't dream of disappointing adelinde?" as if kaeya was already having a hard time saying no to diluc hsjhsghskfd
they all had dinner together at the table just like they used to :)))) i am filled with SO much joy at this
also the fact that kaeya and diluc were bantering at the dinner table PLEASE my heart cant TAKE this
yes!!!! yes kaeya you can and should come back more in the future
you KNOW kaeya was giggling n shit when he left Dawn Winery like. yeah

Homesick
Character: Thoma x gn! reader
About: Childhood Friends
Word Count: 763
AO3 Link
Network: @hanayanetwork
The Vision Hunt Decree was finally called off allowing those still remaining with their visions to breathe a sigh of relief. Also allowing a specific person to come out of hiding and join his friends again. In the time that went by after the decree, a few of the strict rules that were upheld slowly began to be removed. Allowing many of those in Inazuma to freely travel and vice versa for those wanting to travel to Inazuma.
Inside the Komore Teahouse was the usual group of Ayaka, Thoma, the Traveler, and Paimon, playing their usual hot pot game. Although, as the game had gone on, three of them noticed that Thoma didn’t seem to be his usual self. He was a little more reserved, not taking as many risks with what he would put in. Almost as if he was in his head more than being aware of those around him. Ayaka recognizes the faraway look in Thoma’s eyes. She’s seen him get like this a few times in the past, but he is usually able to snap out of it fairly quickly.
“Thoma,” Paimon pipped up, pulling him out of his thoughts to look at her, “Are you alright? You don’t really seem like yourself.”
He reached up and rubbed the back of his neck as he gave everyone an embarrassed smile and a weak chuckle.
“Sorry, I don’t mean to ruin the mood,” he apologized before sighing, “Just been thinking about some things recently.”
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Paimon asked, worry evident in her voice.
“No, no, everything is fine! Nothing has happened!” He smiled more genuinely this time, “It’s just, seeing the food you had brought today made me think of home.”
Thoma lowered his gaze, not wanting to meet anyone’s eyes as he was sure they were all looking at him with a sad gaze.
“With the rules for coming to and going from Inazuma having been lessened, I’ve been questioning if I should take a trip home,” he explained.
“Thoma, you know you could always ask for that,” Ayaka reminded, “I would gladly make sure to give you time off to go visit family and friends.”
“Yea! With things being better in Inazuma, now is the perfect time to go back,” Paimon cheered.
“Alright, alright… let me think a bit more on it,” Thoma chuckled.
The group finished up their hot pot game after Thoma became more himself again. Once they were done, they cleaned up their things before passing Taroumaru on their way out. Waving goodbye to the Shiba Inu and getting a few ‘woofs’ in return. The four traversed through the streets of Inazuma City on their way to head back to the Kamisato Estate.
“Thoma,” Paimon drifted over to him, “who would be the first person you would want to find when you would go home?”
“Well,” he chuckled as the thought of seeing his best friend appeared in his mind, “it all depends on whether they find me first or not.”
“Huh? What’s that supposed to mean?” Paimon asked.
“Y/n is a good friend of mine. We’ve known each other since we were kids and did everything together. They were heartbroken when I told them my plans of coming to Inazuma,” he sighed, the guilt he felt from that conversation coming back, “but I wouldn’t be surprised that they would be keeping an eye out for me now that word has gotten out that travel restrictions in Inazuma have lessened.”
“Well, I hope you get to see them soon!” Paimon smiled.
A bit more time had passed and the group had just passed the large Sakura Tree outside of Inazuma City. The sun was setting in the sky causing the clouds to almost match the pink of the Sakura tree. As the group admired the colorful sky, a shout was carried through the gentle breeze.
“Thoma!”
The group all turn towards where it had come from to see someone sprinting toward them. Thoma’s eyes went wide as his jaw dropped a bit when he recognized just who this was. It was you. It had to be you! You lunge at him wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his hips. He catches you with ease. One arm under you to support you while his hand cradled your head into him with his face buried in your neck.
“Please tell me I’m not imagining this,” he mumbles into your skin, “You’re really here?”
“I’m here,” you smile, your fingers playing with his ponytail, “I promise you, I’m right here.”

Pressure
Under good intentioned pestering, Lisa allows herself to be fussed over but she doesn’t hesitate to return the favor.
Lisa smiled softly as Paimon’s insistence for a celebratory dinner at Good Hunter’s echoed through the main hall, much to the chagrin of the on-duty knights. Hushed pleas for silence succeeded by Paimon’s snippy rebuttal were assuaged by a gentler, kinder voice belonging to the heroine of the hour.
There was a brief lull in silence as the pair’s resulting squabble grew fainter and hazy, leaving naught in its wake but the ticking pendulum clock and gentle humming from the pendant light’s bulbs.
Lisa lifted her arms, folding them loosely over her chest. Her awareness of the dull, annoying tingle in her fingertips persisted despite her best efforts to smother the prickling needlepoints beneath her gloves. The crystal’s crimson moire had been attractive in the beginning, but such knowledge wasn’t worth the incessant pain. Still, she did have her reservations of leaving such an artifact in the traveler’s hands, whether it proved dangerous to them or not.
Not out of a sense of distrust, Lisa reminded herself. The regret on Lumine’s face, stricken with guilt as she hurriedly pulled the crystal back to her, couldn’t escape Lisa’s notice. Such palpable remorse couldn’t be fabricated easily, and Lisa knew surely they could entrust this little cutie. All she could do was offer a bit of humor to alleviate the mood and wipe the concern from their faces but her unease held long after Lumine and Paimon departed.
While Lisa could admit it was amazing how someone so young could achieve feats grander than those twice her year, it was also quite disheartening. Stories of daring youths willfully throwing themselves to peril rarely ended happily. Through their efforts, selfless and kind, many were saved and those who regaled their deeds inspired others to follow suit. However, the romanticization of sacrifice hid its true weight, leaving those who carried the burden to suffer alone.
Or become deified as a caricature of who they truly were.
She could only hope that Lumine would be able to brave the incoming storm, literally and figuratively.
Lisa sighed and brushed her black-clad fingertips over the gold embroidery of her sleeves, picking lightly at invisible dust. The lapse in silence lingered long enough for the pendulum clock to toll. Her gaze lingered on the Acting Grandmaster perched near the window behind the polished desk, shoulders sloped toward the ground and hands loosely clasped at the wrist behind her back. Hardly the upright and focused posture one would expect from a soldier but with silvery-blue dustlight streaming through the windows, illuminating the golden accents in her hair — Jean seemed more mythological than personable.
Lisa could almost imagine this would be what the Dandelion Sea was, if they weren’t surrounded by carpets upon polished wooden floors and walls filled to their brims with texts. Separated by a plush red carpet emblazoned with the Knights of Favonius’ symbol - golden swords crossed at their blade silhouetted by wings and a shield.
Freedom at its finest. Yet, with the grilles’ silhouette criss-crossing over Jean’s face, Lisa wondered if this was freedom or a prison. She winced and shook her head, dispelling the thoughts as she caressed the railing’s smooth nobs, climbing up the steps. The book she’d abandoned for their earlier conversation left cold and wanting on the shelf near a ornate picture frame. Lisa scooped the book in her arms and held it to her chest, eyeing the photograph longingly.
A golden-haired girl winked back at her, her lips split in a grin and cheeks reddened likely from laughing if the smiling red-headed young man beside her was any indication. Their eyes twinkled with mirth as they shared a conspiratorial look just outside of one of the windmills. From the blue blur in the background, Lisa deduced Kaeya must have tripped before the photograph could be taken. Why else would Diluc allow himself to be immortalized with such obvious glee?
Simpler times, Lisa thought demurely, sparing a glance at the woman the girl had grown up to be. Strong and revered but suffering in silence. At the mercy of her thoughts as she was to the world around her, as well as the people she served. Concern coupled with pity but Lisa knew Jean needed neither. Not now when the weight of Mondstadt hung in the balance and the worse was yet to come. The people’s faith placed in a traveler from where, no one knew, and the Dandelion Knight attempting to stay strong despite the hollowing winds.
Lisa sighed. It’d be best not to let her melancholy get ahead of her. After all, such thoughts were increasingly troublesome. “Well, I believe that’s enough excitement for one librarian’s night,” she announced, descending the steps, careful not to step on the carpet’s gold trimming. “I think I’ll be taken my leave now.”
She scarcely turned to walk along the small strip between the raised floor and the carpet when Jean called out to her, “Ah, wait a moment, Lisa!”
It hadn’t occurred to Lisa how thick the air became between them with Jean’s thoughts until she spoke. Or perhaps, she hadn’t noticed how deep she was in her own. Achingly slow, she turned to face the source of the voice and internally sighed with relief as the dour expression was replaced with another. Whether this was better or not, Lisa wasn’t sure, but Jean was remarkably earnest and transparent with her concern. Guileless blue-grey eyes roved over Lisa but lingered somewhere below her chin. If not for the book she’d been cradling to her chest, Lisa might have teased about wandering eyes and temptation.
Still, she couldn’t help herself. “For you, Acting Grandmaster, I could spare a moment or two.”
Jean’s eyes widened, pink dusting her cheeks and Lisa could have sworn that the air around them had grown warmer. “Your hand…” Jean cleared her throat, simultaneously succeeding and failing to change the topic.
Lisa feigned a shocked gasp and shielded her parted lips with still-tingling fingers. She noticed how Jean’s gaze wandered to her hand and hid a smile behind her palm. “Oh, Jean as sweet as that is,” her eyelashes fluttered and she reveled in the slight confusion twisting Jean’s lips into a pinched frown. “I believe you should have a good night’s rest before you propose marriage. Who knows if you’ll regret it in the morning.”
Now, Lisa was sure the air was definitely warming between them and Jean’s pink-tinged cheeks darkening to a charming shade of scarlet was the cause. “Wait, wh— no! I was..” Jean scoffed, pitched as her rebuttals fell silent. A breath dragged in before she uttered in a firm, rushed enunciation. “When you touched the crystal, you said that it hurt.”
Lisa tucked a knuckle beneath her chin and hummed, letting her gaze fall to the potted plants by the door or the pins and notes attached to the map. “I see, you’re worried about me.”
“O-Of course I am,” Jean sputtered, her voice low and wistful as she muttered, “Why do you sound so surprised?”
Lisa could practically feel the hurt rolling off her words and batted them aside, ignoring the guilt squeezing her chest. “Not surprised at all,” she said gently, glancing around the room. “Just.. analyzing.”
Papers flecked with ink were messily across the conference table, a stack held down beneath an adorably decorate teapot and cup. Books stacked horizontally on shelves and on the floors near their lower cupboards annoyed and confused Lisa at the same time. When was the last time Jean cleaned in here?
With how often she was working and on the move, Lisa doubted there was time for neatening her things. Yet, considering how thorough Jean was with even her work station’s neatness - perhaps it was cause for concern.
Lisa could feel Jean’s gaze, cutting as the wind, attempting to slip through cracks and chinks in her armor to no avail. Eventually, Lisa relented with a sigh. “I can’t quite describe the pain, but I doubt there was a wound inflicted. Nothing to inspect, really…” She trailed off. Jean’s eyes dimmed at the dismissal and her hand, perched upon the edge of her desk, tightened ever so slightly around its trim.
After a moment, Lisa relented once more. “Though,” she began, blatanty ignoring the twitch and hopeful look Jean gave her as she strode over to one of the sofas. “I suppose it doesn’t hurt to be thorough.”
She sat down, fully aware of the steady gaze as she fiddled with her dress then situated herself against the pillows. A brow arched at the deep blue blanket tossed over the couch’s left arm. The pillows seemed squashed and a connection slowly made itself known as Jean sat down on the other end.
Barbatos guide me, has she been sleeping in her office?
Crossed between upset and exasperated, Lisa remained silent as Jean beckoned for her hand. Only stopping a second from impatiently laying it in her own when she remembered the wound was skin-deep not on the layers of her gloves. Taking a moment to inch her fingers free, she thought on Jean picking at the couch’s upholstery and fidgeting as she waited. It was increasingly difficult to be crossed with her when she was so earnestly worried.
Finally, the glove slipped free from Lisa’s hand and she bestowed it to Jean, palm ward up. The knight descended upon inspecting her with the graveness of a life-threatening wound. Agitation’s final simmering quelled as Jean’s gloves brushed from palm to fingertip, only inciting the faintest of prickling when she applied pressure. Lisa must have given away a pained response because cooling relief seeped beneath her skin and chased away the fiery prickling. Her heart fluttered as Jean delicately traced the creases on her palms. Tingling remained where her fingers laid, a hollow sensation remaining long after they fell away.
“You seem fine,” Jean sighed, seeming pleased with herself, a smile resting on her lips reminding Lisa sorely of the girl.
Lisa curled her fingers around Jean’s gloved ones, a giggle bubbling up. “Why, thank you,” she preened. “That’s quite the compliment coming from you.”
“Lisa…” Jean’s brow twitched and the pink flush returned, prominent as they were bathed in the pale moonlight.
“Although I must say,” Lisa continued as if she heard nothing, her still-gloved hand stretched out, fingers grazing the underside of Jean’s jaw. “You are seeming a little pale. Are you sleeping well?”
Muscle flexed in Jean’s jaw as her eyelids fell, golden eyelashes barely obscuring stormy depths. Lisa ignored the shiver rolling down her spine and thumbed at the clenched muscle, rubbing slow circles.
“Well enough,” Jean said. She turned her head, inadvertently bringing her cheek to rest at the crook of Lisa’s forefinger.
Lisa tapped her cheek lightly, wondering if Jean’s skin would be as soft and soothing as her winds. Faint circles wearily tightening their grasp beneath Jean’s eyes dispelling the thought. “By your standards or that of the average young woman?” Lisa inquired, nonchalant and taunting.
Jean scoffed, her grasp on Lisa’s hand tightened then loosened as if she’d been electrocuted and with how charged the air was, she might as well have been.
“Weren’t you the one who said I wasn’t average?” Jean asked, pulling her hand away and Lisa sorely missed the light touch. Her knuckles knocking against the book in her lap with a light thud.
“Yes,” Lisa began, savoring a fleeting touch along Jean’s jaw as the woman pulled back from her grasp. Fond exasperation disquieting her calm as she watched Jean rise and amble over to her desk. “Nevertheless, I don’t recall saying you were invincible either.”
Her fingers curled around her book’s spine while Jean hovered dangerously close to the armchair. “Dandelions are quite delicate, you know.”
Jean paused with one hand set on the chair’s pointed rail, a rigidity to her shoulders despite the weariness in her sigh, “I’m not a dandelion, Lisa.”
Lisa smiled sadly. She disagreed in every way. Jean was beautiful, she inspired hope and care, she was delicate although her being wouldn’t give away such a thought — and if one strong breeze came her way, she may be gone. Lisa prayed to the Anemo Gods, to Barbatos, that she would never have to see that day.
“No, you are not,” Lisa said as she stood. “Dandelion Knight.”
Jean’s shoulders tensed and Lisa knew once the words came free, there was no taking them back. Perhaps the gales were still covering Jean’s eyes and she couldn’t see the folly in her own good intention but Lisa could.
“I know the situation with Stormterror is weighing heavily on your mind…” Lisa said to her as she slipped on her glove. “But perhaps you would be better suited to tackle it and the Fatui’s ambassadors, if you had a break.”
Jean’s hold on the chair tightened and Lisa could hear the wood creaking but she stood and approached carefully. The faint trembling in Jean’s shoulders matching her own heart’s ache.
“You would also set a better example for our newly appointed Honorary Knight,” Lisa pointed out. “A girl barely grown, armed with a sword and wits, sails through blue skies on wings of freedom laden with the hopes of many…”
It was like a fairy tale. One that would end with the hopes and joys of many answered, and the hero standing on top. But between the lines, the secrets were told and Lisa was always thorough in her research.
“I wonder who that reminds me of…”
“Your point’s been made,” Jean said tersely, her trembling stilled as Lisa curled her fingers around her shoulder in a light hold. She knew if Jean wanted, she could shrug her off and dismiss her but the knight did neither. Her blue-grey eyes, dull and longing, as Lisa gleaned them over Jean’s shoulder.
All she could do was offer a smile and ease her hand down the length of billowing white sleeves, her fingers curled along ones clad in black gloves.“Then for tonight..” Lisa breathed in the words, whispering them softly to Jean’s waiting ears. “You are dismissed, Acting Grandmaster.” Bitterness tinged Lisa’s smile and she nodded, holding Jean’s hand loosely. “So shall we be off, Jean?”
She received her answer in a gentle squeeze around her fingers.

Did you pull for ayaka's banner?
Because I didn't, i was literally going to pull for her using my one year worth of primos.. (only 800k now because i pulled for others) BUT WHEN SHE GUILT TRIPPED AETHER?? girlie haha I'll just pull for someone else. I tried hitting her w/ kazuha
But it's only half her fault? I mean traveler. I wanted aether to resist a little more.. i mean after the we will be reunited quest he looked so determined to ignore everything in his path just to find his sister again, i thought he learned that liyue and mondstat barely did anything to help him. So why would this nation bother to help him? I haven't done the archon quest yet because I don't want to and i am upset.
Now that i watched the cutscenes from youtube -including traveler talking to kokomi and the others- I AM MORE UPSET?? because i feel like traveler would just become an errand boy all over again.
now i feel disappointed i skipped some other banners just for her.
She's still a good character though! I just wish mihoyo could've thought of another approach on how we'd be able to keep a determined traveler that will stop at nothing to get their sibling back while also being able to help other nations
hi anon,
i wanted to pull for ayaka 2 get a guaranteed— yet ... i Did lose the 50/50 AND got ayaka back 2 back
i believe traveler has helped them not for the sole reason ayaka guilt tripped them, but also To See The Shogun. they wanted 2 resist more but they Probably Knew that the only way 2 see baal is to talk to someone who has personal connections with her— in that case, ayaka.
it’s honestly quite pitiful to see the traveler becoming an errand person all over again considering that they don’t— and shouldn’t become one after recent events. but honestly, people are assholes, and try to use the traveler with a renowned reputation to Their advantage. hopefully after the upcoming archon quest is where they try and better themselves— try and realize that they’re not just a fucking tool.
people are fucking assholes and They know that the traveler is reliable, since they helped them with everything, really. i Just want to see the traveler say No to literally everyone ever and . yknow . complete their adventure in finding their sister Alone and w Paimon . it’s only fair! and the dejected, solemn look on those who were rejected is something i Really Really want to see ... they deserved to be rejected anyway! who are they — regardless of their status — to ask for something so fucking useless for the traveler to do?
god or mortal, they do not matter. it’s your nation, not ours, your problem, not ours. who are you to ask such trivial favours to someone who does not even know you exist? yet the traveler probably is not used to saying no. waiting for traveler villain arc
#📩 — m.inbox#and here i thought that inazuma’s citizens are any better#EVEN AYAKA HAS JUST AN OUNCE OF RESPECT FOR US?#thoma is ok... ayaka too is ok...#don’t get me started on the resistance go cry. they have a shrewd and astute leader#don’t they? why do they NEED US?#THIS IS LONG

listen. LISTEN. What the fuck was inazuma. Yhe exploration is beautiful and like gameplay-wise it's definitely one of the funnest places to explore. But what the fuck was the story quest.
everyone BUT THE VICTIMS of the vision hunt gets off with no consequences. (the effects of having lost their ambition completely must've been fucking traumatizing and after all that all we got was haha dango milk date haha light novels. gyal...)
yae miko doesn't even give a shit about inazuma or its people unless if it affects her or raiden (one of the reasons I'm not so fond of her) she also clearly does not give a shit about humans (as seen in her story quest)
and I know ayaka and thoma were desperate but seriously . guilt tripping a foreigner you've never met into helping save your nation when they clearly explicitly stated they had wanted nothing to do with it at first? I know I might be like cherry picking but let's not forget if the traveler weren't the main character they'd probably still be stuck in ritou thanks to thoma's "test". not to mention after they had finally managed to sneak out (due to pure luck I might add) and met ayaka..the fact that traveler doesn't want to be dragged into saving the world again but then ayaka gave us her quest that kinda took advantage of travelers sympathetic nature. call me too sensitive but it just rubs me the wrong way
also the last part. everything was so rushed out what in the fuck was that. yae miko saves ei with the power of friendship or whatever and then suddenly boom everything's back to normal and no one has to apologize for anything because shogun is different from ei and that makes everything understandable including the nation you traumatized
and the fuckin.. "I gave the vision away" plot twist. ma'am. it's in literally almost the last line of dialogue. what the fuck.
ALSO completely unrelated to inazuma but I replayed shenhes story quest and I realized
it's actually paimon doing all the talking and bonding with shenhe. traveler just listens and says something every once in a while. why is traveler the one shenhe got attached to instead of paimon .. even with ayaka it's more understandable because they genuinely complimented her in dialogue but with shenhe it's almost always paimon bringing up the friendship thing. I felt so annoyed when paimon said something sweet to shenhe and she stared at the traveler like they were the one who said it like ????? GYAL?????
look going around with ei and having fun dango milk haha is cool and all but when is she going to take responsibility for what the shit chapter 2 was
#the inazuma story quests hit home in all the wrong ways damn#anyways#genshin impact#give me the sibling content#i came here for traveler reuniting with their sibling why do they suddenly have a harem 😭😭#ok im sorry im getting way too worked up
