well, what a week this has been !!

our downstairs ac unit and our water heater decided to tear up at the exact same time !!

so, i spent a good chunk of yesterday just cleaning out the space to get the water heater so my mom wouldn't have to do any of it later

that was one good thing about it being 59 degrees down there! the upstairs one still works just fine but like....hot air rises so i even double checked, but yeah, 70 degrees with the fan on and it didn't do a damn thing for the downstairs so

anyway

i got it all cleared out and a plumber is supposed to be on his way now. he had some emergency cases come up but said he still wanted to come check it out.

my dad had told my mom that the water heater was going to go soon, so we kinda figured. i have taken two...very cold showers this week but it's all good. made the pink stay in my hair longer so there's that

had therapy after that but it was a good session so that was nice. she said i was doing better than i was a year ago and i guess i can see that. even a little bit of progress is still progress and even if i'm the only one that sees it

mostly what i've been dealing with is just...exhaustion. with all this wacky thermostat shit there have been so many nights the aux heat has kicked on downstairs and made it insufferable upstairs so i wake up at like 4 am and just can't get back to sleep

i've been working 50 hour weeks pretty much nonstop for months now but i'm trying to at least not get so stressed during the work day, especially when doing chores eats up all my time like it did yesterday

i ended up having to do all the work i was supposed to do yesterday today which ended up taking all day but i just took my time for the most part and tried not to get too overwhelmed for no good reason

good news, though!! i got it all done. i've been trying to help out my mom more since this whole neck/arm situation started a few weeks ago. i hate that she's been in pain for so long and we still don't really have any concrete answers.

her pcp just wanted to talk about other shit besides this injury but she did at least order an mri which i'm going with her to get done tomorrow so hopefully that'll give us some answers or at least figure out what to do next.

she's been able to get some relief but not entirely and it's also been causing her to lose sleep so we're a pretty sad bunch by the end of every week the pair of us but we're pulling through !!

in the mean time, someone did come out earlier about the ac and i think it ended up being something about the compressor? they'll have to order a part so it'll be sometime next week but i think the weather is supposed to get warmer then so if it takes a minute i think we'll be okay because i can then at least run the cool air upstairs and it should be fine downstairs

mom's keeping warm by the fireplace and has a heated blanket as well and she said at night she can run a little heater in her room and it works just fine so we'll be okay with that and i can take more cold showers if need be especially if it does heat up that's no problem

wild how the other day it started out 70 damn degrees and humid as shit and then it rained and dropped down to 40 degrees immediately

can't wait to see what kinda interesting spring weather we're about to have. also can't believe it's already march holy shit

the way i'm perceiving time these days is just completely and utterly fucked so that seems especially unreal to me

alright, i think i've rambled enough for now and i've typed a lot today so i'm going to give my fingers a rest (lol) and just scroll for a while, turn this old brain off as best as i can even though it never goes off completely

hope it's a good weekend for you if you're reading this, even if you have to work or have some other bullshit you don't want to do. try to get some rest somewhere in there and so will i <3

Bunny's Baby

They make camp near Bunny Boswell who has an interesting suggestion for the two adults.

They'd just made camp near Bunnys Vardo at sundown. Aberama and Gypsy were busy preparing the camp for the night. Gypsy now helping to tend to two camps since the baby had just been born a few days ago. 

The girls were content to play and coo over the baby.

She desperately wanted to hold the little baby girl. She had a man and three girls of her own to care for and her older sister.

“When are you going to have a baby for us? I want a girl.” Nan smiled up at her taking a break from holding the baby's tiny little fingers. Seh had been so gentle.

 Bunny and Gypsy laughed.They both exchanged looks, the dark haired sister blushing furiously.  

“Like she’s ordering dinner.” Bunny mussed. She was enjoying the break while her nieces played with the newborn like it was a doll.

“It doesn't work like that hunny. It’ll happen when the timing is right. We also don't get to pick if it's a girl or boy.” Gypsy ruffled Nan’s hair affectionately.  The campfire was roaring now and she had a pot of veggies going. Hopefully Abe will be back soon with some meat. Bunny needed the protein for her and the baby. 

“Boys are gross, they pee on everything and smell stinky.” Esme added to the conversation. Bunny and Gypsy laughed, shaking their heads, as she only knew that in a few years her opinion would change drastically. 

“Umm excuse me? How many boys are you friends with? Should I talk to your dad? You seem to know a lot about boys?” Gypsy teased her daughter. Things were settling down for them all now that they were away from the Gold camp.

“We’ll I’m going to marry a Shelby boy and be rich.” She proudly proclaimed. She seemed very resolute in her claim.

“Oh, there is more to life than money.” The raven haired women added. She didn't need Esmeralda and Nan getting snooty. Their father dressed them all well and took very good care of everything and every possession he had. They weren’t dirt poor by any means. 

“It helps though.” Bunny mused  while bending down to cradle her baby. It was dinner time for at least the smallest Boswell. 

“So what happened with you know who…?” Bunny trailed off making eye contact with her sister. She’d only gotten a little bit of knowledge about Abe’s ex wife when she’d stopped by the camp. It was enough to peak her curiosity. 

“She said I would have problems conceiving. Probably not a good conversion right now Bun.” She nodded to the three little girls who were pretending not to listen. They could still hear though. 

“ She said that to you!? She cursed your womb…..I hope she gets the clap.” Bunny shot off loudly. The girls looked around confused. Gypsy signed and glared at her sister. She knew it was coming now. 

“ Bunny no! We don't talk about things like that infront of small ears and big mouths.”

“ What's the clap?” Esme asked, her voice echoing off the tree line. Gypsy rolled her eyes to her sister and placed her hands on her hips. 

“ It's a whores disease. “ Aberama said, walking off from a dark path leading away from the river. He was also glaring at Bunny. 

He’d dropped the wood he’d collected near the fire. Gypsy had been pleasantly surprised when he dropped not one but two hedgehogs into his hands.  It was getting into late spring so they stopped hibernating. They were also her favorite.  

She smiled at him and Bunny had caught it when he’d winked at his wife. She could see how affectionate they were with one another. 

The women dropped their voices but she knew he overheard snippets of their conversation. 

“ So nothing yet, he has 3 girls gypsy. Give him a boy Gyps. That'll show her.” Bunny’s soft suggestion pulled at her heart. She’d been trying. Honestly she’d always wanted a boy. 

“ What do you think we've been trying to do?” She gently challenged her blonde sister. 

“ Why don't I stay with the girls tonight? You two go off by the stream and….you know.” Bunny’s voice dropped to a low suggestive purr. 

A red crimson flush raced across the raven haired beauty's face. She liked the thought. 

“It'll be too much on you with all the kids. I can’t.” She was worried about Bunny even though the women bred like a rabbit. What if something did happen? 

“ I'm okay. I promise.” Her sister winked and tossed her head toward the creek. 

Gypsy turned and looked at Abe.  He was bent over correcting her fire. She liked that view too. 

“ If you insist.” They giggled in league with the plan. Aberama chose that moment to turn and exchange a concerned look with both ladies.  They were planning something and he knew it had to do with him too.

THE REAL BEST NEWS OF THE UPDATE

Yes, after a long wait of over 4 years, Sophia is finally getting her first alt and as a free unit, which is very nice.

Part of the artwork, as well as the event information, should be out in less than 2 hours since this post's date/time.

Anyway, I'll now comment on a few things about the new units now formally revealed with skills and artwork.

The seasonal units come to no surprise as they were all previously leaked (thanks again Intern-kun!) but there are some interesting things in this reveal and the associated notice.

First of all, you're perhaps wondering how well I did with my guesses on the attires Male Grima and Kurtnaga would be doning plus the free unit potentially being Nasir, well... completely wrong with the last two, Kurthnaga isn't dressing like a Jiangshi, actually looking more like an... emperor? But if you know his role in the Tellius games, then it makes sense, either way he looks nice, I was right with Male Grima, more dressed up than his Female counterpart and the like, but Okuma Yugo takes on drawing Male Grima again and he looks so cool.

However, I'm still shook one of my biggest favs in Elibe got an alt like, out of nowhere, I was totally expecting some Tellius unit that'd go along with the theory I had in mind, nevethless, I'm excited to build her and comment on her gameplay elements (that'll be done once I have her properly built, but I need to prepare some resources in advance), I'll also talk about the event stuff later on, I hope today but something came up recently, so we'll see.

The banner itself remains the same: an easy skip with nothing I do feel like I need right away.

Male Grima is fodder galore for me, fortunately, he's easy to fodder for two full passive skills if one of them is [Sturdy Stance 3]. He's quite fearsome to face if you initiate on an ally of his near him, and he'll be pretty durable, replacing his special with [Moonbow] is also a good call, then add a movement assist, a [Atk/Def Bond] as [Sacred Seal] and he's set. It's also worth noting he's a colorless breath armor unit, giving him less likelihood to get WTD.

Rhea... Idk if that weapon type and animation would give away some important spoilers, but even though I know something regarding her identity, I'd rather continue avoiding spoilers, I have no way to play her home game. She's also another fodder galore unit in my eyes; but onto what's she like as a unit, not as great as Male Grima, and she relies on both keeping herself healthy to reduce incoming damage and deny follow-ups, plus healthy foes to deal follow-up attacks, not the most reliable thing but not too shabby either, keeping her health on check shouldn't be as difficult.

Kurthnaga has a rather interesting weapon over there, it makes its user beefier in enemy phase and you can inherit it to any dragon unit of your liking, the rest isn't exactly too interesting except for maybe [Even Pulse Tie 3] being on a seasonal semi-demote, it's a decent skill that can (in part) counter some teams or units but most of the time, you'll find it useless. He's also added like Spring Narcian, introducing a new {Experience} skill and an inheritable weapon, plus on demote too. 🤨

Lastly, Sothis is with Male Byleth, it seems to be the better fit for her out of the two despite his not-so-recent Legendary alt, since his Female counterpart leads a Duo with Rhea. Fodder galore as well but this one has some things to point out:

Welp, that's Múspell's C-skill but without {Joint}-esque effect all right, and you can give it to dragons, it'll likely stack with Múspell's C-skill, resulting in a slightly bigger boost in damage dealt and reduction on damage taken, most likely at least.

As a unit, this Duo is also best used on enemy phase, with a Lv.3 {Stance} of any kind being their best A-skill, they should be able to handle themselves just fine, but they're still vulnerable to arrows, green bow users like Rath or Python (for accessable choices) or Shamir with [Deadeye] should be able to quickly dispatch the Duo, they'll also most likely be used in offense than defense I think, they still don't seem super threatening, but their selling point would be the Duo Skill, which can help some units deal with Fallen Edelgard and some other dangers that tend to deny follow-up attacks:

...And it can be re-used on the same map.

Anyway, it seems everyone here has some sort of focus on being tankier and enemy phase oriented, yet there's a clear ounce of difference in how to use them, but nothing I'd exactly find super broken or must-have, the Duo might come in handy though.

I'll just free pick blue if available, otherwise I guess I'll go for colorless, green or red, I'm moreso looking forward to Sophia... speaking of her, it's possible she'll also play similarly to the units in here and her OG form (being slow and tanky, best used on enemy phase), if that's how she plays out, then [Close Counter], [Atk/Res Rein 3] (though I need a Brady first to properly fodder Plumeria) and [Pact Blooms+] are ready for her, but I'm short on B-skills and other expensive stuff, maybe [Flier Formation 3] since I have one last Díthorba to spare, I could pick [Quick Riposte 3] but my OCD wouldn't let me live with her just inheriting it up to Lv.2, and my only source without promoting anyone is Nah, so I'd have to do with alternatives, we'll see...

I'm feeling a bit better. I just caught a very bad cold mixed with a sinus infection that's pit me on antibiotics (which my body hates) and all of that a week before I have to hand in a very important paper that'll determine whether I can attempt to finish my first degree in spring or not. So not good timing on that, mixed with the stress of that and repressed grief coming up are just yeah, a bit much. I've send the paper out to a friend now who's gonna check it for mistakes, so hopefully it'll be in printing by Thursday. Didn't treat myself to take out yesterday like I had planned, but did watch all 3 Iron Man films which was nice and gonna get that takeout today because I'm just dead and can't be bothered to cook haha. I'm finally less groggy though, which is nice.
