when I started shipping it.

Maybe a year to two years ago? It’s hard to say I can’t really remember. I don’t know what sparked it, but either way I know it started with my friend Lemon. Either we were doing things with the BFT and I had made a joke about baby BFT with Romano, Germany and Canada and it just developed discussions from there. Or it was me struggling between the three proponent ships and Lemon being like ‘why don’t you just make them a poly’ and like sun coming out from behind the clouds it finally dawned on me by the power of citrus. Either way it was something I kept messing with, and the more I talked about it the more people hopped on board with me. We’re still just a raft in a sea of ships but I made this baby and I’m proud of it.

I will say I have had a lot of people talk to me like I made it, and while I do want to take some credit cause I put a lot of time into them, I have heard it used to be a ship back in the old hetalia days. But I haven’t found any old fanworks of it. And trust me I scoured every fic and art site I could think of. Maybe it was something only seen in RP groups so it never got published fic or art but I crave content for it so if it was originally a thing and there’s content around let me know please I don’t wanna take credit for it fully but I have not found another person who shipped it before they talked to me.

my thoughts:

Literally some of the only serotonin I get in these trying times. I love them so much they make me so happy. An unbelievably strong power house trio who could do damn near about anything together. They have it all.

I could go on for hours about small scenarios or aus with them. Like I’m a multi-shipper but fuck man they’re my OTP. I can and do ship other things with them, but man they make me melt with joy.

I made a playlist for it, I’m still building it but I like ti so far. I wish I could find more three person love songs but for now I have songs for each of the three lads, and the three ships that make up it, so it works! Might change some of them but I like what I have so far!

What makes me happy about them:

Literally everything. Their characters, the dynamics, the growth they create together. They may not work in every story of mine but when they work they really work. They push each member of the ship to grow as a person. Germany finding support he may not have originally had, Canada finding the confidence and support in a group that won’t forget him, Romano finally feeling safe enough to open up to others in a way he didn’t feel safe doing before. It’s just the good fucking food. You can put it in different settings and it just works, they’re able to play off one another in a really great way and pull them out of their comfort zones in ways that other ships don’t hit me as hard with.

What makes me sad about them:

That I am literally one of the only people who makes content for it. I have scoured the internet I can’t find anything, ANYTHING. And often I cannot get people to follow me on it, I’ve been getting more people on board slowly but surely but STILL-- That or they really try to push the whole ‘i ship it with (ship thats similar but with one of the brothers swapped out for the other)’ on me when I’m talking about it and I’m just like. I asked for GerCanMano I didn’t ask for your opinion. I’ve thought about the other ship conbo’s with their other brothers, I just like this one the best.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

When this ship is treated as a lesser to other ships around the three characters. People going like well I think it would be better if it was ‘swaps one of the brothers out for the other’ but that’s not the point. Also this is a general problem I have with Germano/GerCan as well but people making it all about their family’s or brothers reactions and how it effects their brothers instead of their relationship. ESPECIALLY between Romano and Italy.

It’s almost always a cheating on their ‘true love’ or some sort of affair fic and it doesn’t focus on their love and living together and more about them bouncing around to avoid getting caught and I just don’t care enough. I just want to see them in a loving happy relationship, and interacting with one another. Prussia, America’s and ESPECIALLY Italy’s reactions don’t matter to me. When it comes to say GerIta fics, there are a few that address Romano’s feelings toward Italy’s relationship, but not all of them. Hell some of them don’t have a mention or hair of Romano, but when the position is reversed with Germano suddenly even if he’s not in the fic it’s all about how Italy feels about it or how it effects him or hiding it from him.

I dont want to watch Germany go back and forth about which Italy brother he likes while dating both. It’s one just not in character and two its uncomfortable. I read this fic for the gercanmano Im not here to hear that Germany’s cheating on and warring with his feelings toward Italy or Canada sleeping around behind Prussia’s back. It’s boring and I’m tired of reading it. I’m digging into specifics of the three component ships cause there are no fanfics of GerCanMano so I can’t talk about what annoys in their base fics.

I had like one person write GerCanMano into their RusPrus fic, which was cool. but then they were a nazi apologist. So I can’t exactly read it anymore. I have nothing else to compare to but the base three ships of Germano, GerCan and Canmano

Things I look for in fanfic I don’t ask much I just want them to exist without me having to write all of them. I wanna find content other people have made, not that I’m lazy and think peopel should make content for me, just that I get bored of reading my own writing. If I wanna be really picky, letting it be a quickly established relationship and getting to see them in the relationship, learning about each other living together dealing with problems together that doesn’t just have them break up after one fight.

Having them in a functioning relationship before the story is over. Letting that relationship blossom past the start or the first date before the fic is finished. It’s sad when a romance story ends with them getting together cause there’s so much more relationship to have-- ;^; what about cooking together and cuddles on the couch and date nights and small fights and family gatherings--

My happily ever after for them:

It’s hard to write a happily ever after for nations or for anything to be honest cause life keeps going, growing, changing etc. But I’d love them to have a wedding and just a calm, slice of life kind of life together. A nice house, a big garden, a pond in the back where in the winter Germany and Canada can ice skate. A nice big garage where Germany and Romano can work on cars, Maybe near the woods so they can all go hiking,

Nothing fancy. A nice place that smells like warm coffee in the morning, that’s lively with sound of loved ones and shenanigans during the day and quiet whispers of affection at night. They get together but meetings are less boring, they have plans with their family and friends. Spain, France and Prussia loving to tease their little siblings/kids about things and make sure they’re doing okay. Veneziano always trying to help Romano come up with romantic shenanigans to use against his husbands. America just being happy his bro is happy.

I exclusively write top Canada. Like, I just do. I don’t really draw or write him taking it, I don’t know why I just don’t. Doesn’t mean he isn’t put under someone’s thumb in bed, but they’re still riding. There are very very few instances where I have written him taking. Again I don’t know why. Maybe it’s just the concept of soft pastel uwu boy slamming Germany into a wall, maybe it’s the thought of Canada in heels and leather just with the vibe of ‘go ahead tell them. no one will believe you’.

Canada isn’t any kinkier than Germany, but he’s more confident than Germany about it.  He’s got a little bit of jealous neediness in the back of his brain so when it comes to sex he loves when his partner’s attention is on him. He loves to spoil and get spoiled and is the roughest of the three. Just a tiny, tiny bit of masochism/sadism. Very small. It’s very much he’ll do it (with safe words set in place and everything) but he will feel eh about it afterward and make sure that they don’t take away that he hates them or anything. In the inverse hes very very good at fluffing people up and body worship, as well as demeaning talk. Loves role-playing, hence slipping into the mind where he’s got the confidence to throw Germany around the bedroom. He loves especially tying them up and just watching them writhe-

Germany is a switch, fight me on it. If you think that man who has very little canon confidence with romance and no experience is a 100% big daddy top you’re just wrong I’m not sorry. Mind you, he can top and he often does, but being rough and demanding and forceful is not something he’s good at he’s so nervous about injuring his partner, even if they tell him it’s fine.

Germany is into all the rough play, like it’s canon. He loves to tie and be tied up and he likes when power is taken away from him. He likes when people push him under their thumb it’s why Canada gets to be rough with him. But at the same time, Germany is the most wholesome lover out of the three. Because it can be so hard to coax him out of his shell with his kinks, he can often be the inverse. Very gentle, very praising. Absolutely loves to body worship his partners. He’s not really all that good or comfortable with giving people blow jobs, however he loves kisses and touches all over. Mind you getting a blowjob is something he really enjoys, hes just not good at giving. Good thing that both his boyfriends are amazing at it. Favorite thing the two do is Canada having Germany Ride him and then Matteo either riding him on top or giving him head during.

Romano oh, Romano. He’s a bottom. The most bottom-y bottom. An absolute pillow princess and a brat wanting to be tamed. He tops very very rarely, and out of the three has the most experience both giving and receiving and with all different partners. Even if he’s bottoming doesn’t mean he’s always at the whim of his partners though, he loves riding.

Romano is the least kinky out of the three, while the other two enjoy being tied up, Romano isn’t really a fan, he doesn’t mind collars or handcuffs but full shibari like what Canada or Germany would be fine with doesn't really fly for him. As I said before, he’s also the loudest, and gets very whiny when left to hang (not like either of them mind the noise). Romano loves giving and receiving blow jobs/hand jobs. Especially giving. OCCUPATION: Healer at St. Mungo’s. After the deaths of her husband and her daughter, Andromeda only remained on as part time staff due to her commitment to raising her grandson. With her son-in-law back from the dead and expecting his son, Andromeda has picked up more shifts to distract herself from her mixed bag of feelings.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND

POSTBELLUM

War is ruinous. It’s evil and endless. It’s something that Andromeda has learned. Now, she’s lived through two wars and managed to lose almost everything. During the first war, Andromeda refused to choose a side. She remained strictly neutral. Supporting the Death Eaters was what her family expected from her. However, she didn’t share the same beliefs. Supporting the Order, however, felt like the ultimate betrayal. Something that she couldn’t explain. So, she remained neutral. When the second war began to brew, she supported the Order because of her daughter’s involvement as an auror. She and Ted were never official members of the Order, but they helped where they could. This later led to the both of them being tortured for information by Death Eaters. The two were shaken, but otherwise okay, thankfully. Andromeda didn’t turn her back on the Order after this. If anything, it only made her support stronger.

When Nymphadora learned that she was pregnant, Andromeda was overjoyed, but afraid just the same. Edward went on the run due to the persecution of muggleborns and Andromeda had never been so afraid in her life. Ted was the only family that she’d had. The only person that she’d relied on for years. When the news of Edward’s death came, Andromeda tried her best to keep a brave face in front of others. She knew that the war was far from over and she couldn’t bear to upset her pregnant daughter.

Nymphadora gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and everything seemed right, if only for a moment. They honored Edward in the name and he had equal parts of her daughter and son-in-law. Andromeda begged Nymphadora to stay home, to not go to the Battle of Hogwarts, but she went anyways. The news of her daughter’s death at her sister’s hands broke Andromeda completely. She had a newborn, now, that she was responsible for and in the first few months of his life, she wasn’t sure who cried more.

If it weren’t for Teddy, Andromeda doesn’t know if she would have been able to go on. Her grandson gave her life purpose. She had reminders of the two people that she loved most and Teddy became the third. She’s taken to part time at the hospital while she’s cared for him the past couple of years.

The news of the dead coming back is all the rage and Andromeda is skeptical. Despite the skepticism, she was also hopeful for a very brief second. Then, she was disappointed and then her anger took another turn. She hoped for her husband. For her daughter. For her cousin. So far, she’s gotten none of them. The news of Remus being back has placed a pit inside her stomach that she can’t handle. She wants to be happy, but she also abhors the thought of losing her only link to her daughter, to her husband. She doesn’t know how she’s going to cope.

PERSONALITY

(+) Ambitious: Andromeda excels at anything she puts her mind to and more. Failure is not an option for her. It is a trait that she learned from her father.

(+) Eloquent: Growing up in one of the pureblood elitist families, Andromeda was taught how to be very persuasive. She knows how to use this trait and although she doesn’t use it much, it is always in her back pocket when she needs it.

(-) Stubborn: Andromeda’s stubbornness will one day more than likely get her into trouble. When she decides on something, it is rare that she changes her mind. She does not like to admit that she is wrong and rarely does so.

(-) Conflicted: Andromeda knew that befriending muggleborns would upset her family. It was against the beliefs that she had always been taught. Since her Hogwarts days, she was always incredibly conflicted. She felt a strong sense of duty to her family, but felt unable to meet their demands. When she fell in love with Ted, she knew it was the final nail in her coffin. Andromeda no longer struggles with the choices that she made. She sticks with them. However, she will always be conflicted over the bond she still feels towards her family.

ENFJ – The Giver - “Popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. Usually, dislike being alone. Andromeda has the fatal flaw in which she decides that others needs are more important than her own. It was only magnified when she became a mother herself. Her people skills were groomed to perfection when she was forced to attend the numerous pureblood galas as a teenager. As a healer, she enjoys being able to put back together the hurt and heal those that are harmed by those closest to her blood relations.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF FAMILY

Andromeda Dorea Tonks nee Black is the original family disappointment. Cygnus and Druella prayed for a boy the second time around and when Andromeda came out a girl, it was where the disappointment started. Growing up, she always felt like the odd one out. She wasn’t strong and fiercely loyal like Bellatrix. She wasn’t graceful and beautiful like Narcissa. She was the middle child through and through. Despite the disappointment and the short comings that she could not prevent, Andromeda’s loyalty was to her family. The Black family had a strong name within society. They were revered. A part of the sacred 28. Any child of the Black family would act like they were one.

She grew up with pureblood beliefs force-fed to her and being taught to believe nothing else, she actually thought that they were the only way of life. Andromeda was sorely mistaken, however, and she didn’t realize how much so until she met Ted Tonks. Edward Tonks changed everything for her. Ted Tonks was a muggleborn boy and although she didn’t want to admit it, she was smitten. Her resolve faded during their years at Hogwarts and eventually, she couldn’t deny the chemistry anymore. The rest of their years at Hogwarts were filled with letters written in invisible ink, heated meetings in empty classrooms, and plenty of sneaking around.

She struggled with her feelings for Ted and her loyalty to her family for years, until one day she chose Ted. She found out that she was pregnant and she knew it’d be the final nail in her coffin. Andromeda chose Edward and their unborn daughter and she was promptly burned from the Black family tree. Family is important to Andromeda; however, she’s learned over the years that chosen family can be more important than blood relatives.

Despite all of this, she still feels a sense of loyalty to Narcissa. A feeling like reconciliation wouldn’t be so bad. Bellatrix – however – she knows they’ll never repair their relationship. Not after what was done to Nymphadora.

After losing her husband and her daughter, Andromeda clings to her grandson. A reminder of what she’s lost – in the likeness and the name. The idea that she’s going to lose him too is killing her inside.

HISTORY

What was their life before the end of the war in ‘98 or before their death? What was important and formative for them?

Hogwarts: Andromeda’s early life was filled with piano lessons, ballet lessons, and etiquette training. She was to be the perfect pureblood daughter, even if she was a disappointment. Her parents spoke of their beliefs and taught them to their daughters, accepting no questions. Until Andromeda went to Hogwarts, the pureblood beliefs were all that she knew. She knew that she was above everyone else because she had pure blood and that she should never question it. The moment that she was sent to Hogwarts; everything changed. The things that her parents had taught her to believe – they simply weren’t true. The muggleborns and the halfbloods weren’t different than she was. In fact, there were some that were truly brilliant.

For the first few months of her education, she kept her nose up in the air because she knew her older sister was watching her every move. Andromeda pretended like she wasn’t curious to know more. Like she didn’t have questions. It was only the moment that Bellatrix looked away that she discovered everything she knew to be a lie.

Edward Tonks: When she met Edward Tonks for the first time, Andromeda didn’t give him a second thought. It was only after months of studying and tutoring that things began to shift. She began to think about him moreso than she’d like to admit. Their gazes would meet over the school books because neither of them was paying attention to their texts. Soon, the two began to sneak around, knowing the dangers that this posed for the both of them if they were to be caught. Thankfully, they weren’t caught until Andromeda chose Ted. She chose him over her family and never looked back.

Ted changed everything for Andromeda and she doesn’t deny a moment of it to this day.

Healing: Despite the arguments from her family, Andromeda chose to take a healing internship at St. Mungo’s after she graduated from Hogwarts. Her parents were not pleased and that was putting it lightly. Why should she work when all she needed to be good for was a quiet, proper pureblood wife and mother? Her parents had the perfect pureblood for her to marry, but Andromeda didn’t want any part of it. She decided to do what she loved and being a healer was everything that she needed. She needed to do some good in the world to cancel out all of the bad that was happening around them.

Nymphadora: Finding out that she was pregnant with her daughter was the final nail in her coffin. It was the final sign that she’d never be welcome on the Black family tree again. The moment that she found out that she was pregnant, Andromeda was terrified. She didn’t have a great relationship with her mother when she was growing up. She didn’t know how to be a mother. How could she take care of a child? Despite her fear, she told Ted and she’s not sure she’s ever seen him so happy before. Andromeda is fearful her entire pregnancy. She despises herself for it. It’s something that she hides. However, the first time that her daughter is placed in her arms, it’s something that comes naturally. Her love for her daughter is something that she can’t explain, but she knows that Nymphadora is the person that she loves the most in the world. Her new favorite job is being a mother.

All of her life, Andromeda tries to protect her daughter. From the evil things in the world. She tries to shield her from the things that will hurt her. The Black family. The war. When Nymphadora decides that she wants to be an auror, Andromeda supports her, but knows that she can’t protect her baby from everything. Inevitably, she’s unable to.

OOC EXPLORATION

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO? I love the idea of this roleplay and bringing back the dead. I think it’s an amazing idea and I cannot wait to interact with others and see the interactions that will play out. I love the passion that everyone seems to have for writing and I’m excited to possibly join the fun.

Favourite muse(s) you’ve written: This guy. And probably Disn.ey’s Hades. Both have similar energy and attitudes: snarky, proud, confident, selfish. But my son here is so passionate, unlike the Hades I wrote. I was NEVER able to write “darker” muses before. Hades was my introduction (then I wrote Mother Goth.el and Cru.ella) Now? HA. I can never go back to the goody two shoes “hero” or “neutral” types muses. Nothing wrong with them at all (I used to write the “hero” type), but I’ve found the type I fully enjoy writing.

What are your favourite aspects of your current muse: Oof. Let’s see. I love writing his different timelines. I have his human/prince verse that I so enjoy writing so I can explore him as a human. I also love the one AU verse I have where he never obtains his brides, so he’s 100% shippable then and it’s before the events of Van He.lsing (which cannot happen if he never has his brides). I love writing him as a father. I love writing him as a bitter, grudge-holding, God-hating vampire. I love writing him when he is so terribly in love and he doesn’t realize how good he has it. I love writing him as the best friend of some muses on here. I love writing him in general if you haven’t noticed because I love his character so so much.

What’s your biggest inspiration when it comes to writing: Music and my rp partners!!! I have a playlist on YT of like 300 songs and ambience type videos that I use with different types of threads and verses. Also, my rp partners are so wonderful that I can bounce right off them with ease. And Richard Rox.burgh. Dude is awesome. I love reading and watching his interviews (some of them I’ve had to really dig for, but he is very insightful).

Favourite types of threads: ANGST. I know, I’m terrible - *sarcastic sigh*. And really anything e m o t i o n a l for the mun and/or muse. Lord knows he needs to tap into his emotions more often, even though he does not experience them as when he was mortal (I have it all headcannoned, and I take Richard’s analogy of the ‘phantom limb’ 100% Vlad made a deal with Satan, do you really think Satan is gonna play nice?)

Biggest struggle in regards to your current muse: I don’t struggle with him, I am the problem most of the time XD I’m so drained of mental energy because of the line of work I’m in. Often the muse wants to come out and play, and I just can’t at the end of a workday. I want to write but I cannot do it. I think ya’ll know what I mean lol.

ps. some warning: read tags for any mentions of triggers or things you find uncomfortable, Isaac and Ezekiel have had tough lives and since a lot of that occurs during childhood it may cause some distress for readers.

QUESTIONS FOR YOUR OCs:

What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Ezekiel? Never. If it looks like he’s doing nothing, he’s actually daydreaming or bouncing his leg or fiddling with pieces of his clothes. Isaac also cannot sit still. This starts to change as he gets older, but when he moves to Zion he needs to be keeping his mind active on a physical thing, like studying.How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Ezekiel will laugh at just about anything. He’s a child at heart and will crack a giggle and the smallest of things. Even when he’s in combat, you might hear a devilish chuckle. Isaac is different, because of his teenage years, he doesn’t feel as much happiness as he once did. Genuine laughs are rare and at most, he’ll give a weak light-hearted laugh, especially when recalling a good story. For kids, he’ll feign a belly laugh.

How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

Ezekiel never puts himself to bed. It will always be Joshua or Isaac that reads or talks him to sleep just as Courier Six once did. If Ezekiel is alone, he will think himself to sleep. If Joshua is available and not willing to put Ezekiel to bed and depriving him of comfort items, he will scream and cry himself to exhaustion.  Isaac has cried and screamed himself to exhaustion on more than one occasion but will never admit it. he does his best to fall asleep to music on the radio or on a holotape.

How easy is it to earn their trust?

It’s not very easy to gain either brothers’ trust. Ezekiel follows the ‘If you’re a friend of theirs, you’re a friend of mine’ phrase. Isaac doesn’t trust anyone completely until he spends enough time around them. He believes everyone has good in them and will give them the benefit of the doubt, BUT he won’t be caught off guard if someone happens to turn on him. 

How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

For either brother, the second you turn on one of them or their family and friends, it’s game over. Ezekiel won’t take verbal or physical acts lightly, but if it’s verbal, Isaac will offer a second chance. He won’t give out a third.

Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Ezekiel will follow laws that he feels he doesn’t need to break at the time. If he can justify it, including ‘Cause I can, there’s no one to stop me’ he will break it. Isaac follows all laws, even the ones he doesn’t want to. For the ones he doesn’t want to, he’ll find ways to bend them, especially if they’re immoral/unreasonable in his eyes. Best example I can give is in the Legion, not sure if it’s actually a law, but, women are treated as breeding stock and that’s it. Isaac had slaves but would only treat them as such around the other legionaries. Behind closed doors, he cooks for them and looks after them personally. Never once did he use them as breeding stock.  

What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

Ezekiel is in almost a complete state of nostalgia constantly as he unconsciously tries to live his old life in Goodsprings in Zion. Good food, sleeping in a quiet camp, hunting, learning from Joshua/father-figure, etc. helps keep him grounded in his world. Isaac often receives nostalgia from intrusive memories, but as a physical thing, probably his appearance. In a fit of fear and rage, he destroyed his mirror and where the river runs next to his home he added extra rocks to help disfigure his reflection when he’s near the water. It brings him great pain to see his own face and body due to the scars he received from the Legion. 

What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?

Pre-story... Ezekiel was probably told to stop beating up kids for minor offenses and Isaac was probably told to not worry so much about Ezekiel doing dangerous things.

Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?

Both swear and neither remember when they first did.

What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?

Isaac’s most common lie is the typical “I’m fine.” a lie that isn’t spoken about except when before the story takes place, is that the Courier was very sick, but Isaac, Courier, and Cass made Ezekiel believe otherwise so that Ezekiel could continue to dream of the amazing man his dad once was. Which that in itself would be haunting, because he’s holding up a dam of terrible things. While Ezekiel would constantly say “No.” to the question, “Did you eat anything you weren’t supposed to?” 9/10, he ate something he wasn’t supposed to. That doesn’t haunt him, but he’ll regret lying when he ends up with intestinal obstruction or food poisoning. 

How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?

As soon as the confusion hits, depending on the scenario and how he’s feeling he might interrupt the conversation to ask for clarification or he’ll tune out what’s being said so that he can think on his thoughts. Isaac will pretend he understands if the conversation isn’t relating to something dire. 

How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?

Isaac will ask his brother or a friend for help but if he’s alone, he’ll use a stick or his wall. Ezekiel will go up to anyone and ask, but if not, he’ll turn into a yao gui and rub his back on anything. GOTTA GET THAT ITCH.

What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Ezekiel likes orange and Isaac likes white. I think they could both pull off black. Anyone can, black is a flattering color but who would want to wear that in the desert sun?

What animal do they fear most?

Ezekiel doesn’t have a lot of fear towards any creature, but I’d say feral ghouls or Deathclaws and Isaac fears spore carriers.

How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Ezekiel will always say what comes to mind. Isaac will think before he speaks.

What makes their stomach turn?

I’ve got nothing for Ezekiel, but Isaac would barf if he smelled or saw a rotting corpse. 

Are they easily embarrassed?

Ezekiel is fine being quirky but there are some situations that makes him a radstag in flashlight. Isaac feels more shame than embarrassment. 

What embarrasses them?

Ezekiel has been known to wet the bed even into early adulthood. Also, while he is fine playing with kid-oriented items, depending on his current emotion and he’s made fun of, he’ll either respond with embarrassment or anger. Isaac gets second-hand embarrassment from Ezekiel’s behaviors sometimes. He once wet the bed and was caught by Daniel when doing laundry but it was agreed to never be brought up or mentioned again. He mostly feels embarrassment/shame when doing or caught using chems.

What is their favorite number?

Ezekiel’s is the number 6 because Courier Six was his dad. Isaac does not have a favorite number.

If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

Oh boy. Ezekiel might not be able to tell the difference. He might just say that romantic love makes ‘funny things happen’ so to speak even as an adult. All three might overlap for him. Though I guess it would depend on the person reading since my RP partner did not like when I had Ezekiel be affectionate towards Joshua (Hugging and asking to share a bed) as ‘boys don’t always ask their dads for hugs or to sleep with them, it’s inappropriate’ but if daughters can do that with their mothers, who cares? 

Isaac would go on a long shpeel about the psychology of romantic, platonic, and familial love, I’m too tired to write how he’d explain it.

Why do they get up in the morning?

Ezekiel gets up because it’s a new day and the second he opens his eyes, he’s a ball of energy! Breakfast. Also breakfast. Isaac gets up for the people he loves and for the people who need him.

How does jealousy manifest itself in them (they become possessive, they become aloof, etc)?

Ezekiel gets vocal. He’ll make sure you know that you’re spending too much of his time around his brother or Joshua. Isaac will get quiet. 

How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

Ezekiel will take what he wants/intervene. Isaac might get bitter about it, but he’ll remind himself that there are others that are more important or who need it more.

Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

Their thoughts on this is pretty similar regardless of age, but speaking from age ranges 18-23, Ezekiel doesn’t really understand it, so he’ll talk to anyone about it. When he does, he’s blunt about it, too which makes for some comedic relief when Joshua is involved in the conversation. Isaac won’t really talk about it if he’s involved. If he does, it’s with Daniel or with whoever he ends up sleeping with. If it’s in a medical context, it doesn’t matter the person. 

What are their thoughts on marriage?

Ezekiel doesn’t have an opinion on marriage, but his brother and godfather would feel as though he isn’t ready for a relationship, yet. Isaac likes when others get married, but he himself does not feel worthy of a steady relationship.

What is their preferred mode of transportation?

Walking.

What causes them to feel dread?

When Ezekiel gets caught doing something he shouldn’t by Joshua. Isaac - when it’s night, his generator dies, and when his radio stops working simultaneously or when Daniel forbade him that one time from studying and working because he nearly worked himself to death.

Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?

Both would want the truth, but Ezekiel believes in a lie that his brother and mother once told.

Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

Ezekiel believes he’s the best at almost everything and Isaac knows he could do better, but it’s too late.

Who do they most regret meeting?

N/A

Who are they the most glad to have met?

locating Joshua was Ezekiel’s primary goal when running from Goodsprings so I’d imagine that he’d be glad to have found him. Isaac’s could be either Daniel or an unnamed Legion girl.

Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

Ezekiel would try to talk casually about his parents’ death and of the crimes he’s committed. Isaac doesn’t have a go-to.

Could they be considered lazy?

Yes and no. To others, they’d be lazy, but Isaac has depression and insomnia, and Ezekiel’s behavior is similar to a child so he may just be stubborn.

How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?

If the guilt was brought on by Joshua, Ezekiel would need some reassurance directly from him to fix it. Isaac is constantly ridden with guilt.

How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

Both are supportive!

Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?

Neither seeks romance. Isaac might look for partners for one night stands, but that’s it.

Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?

Both are very good at matching names to faces, but Ezekiel uses his fingers to count and sometimes uses melodies. Isaac likes to file things.

What memory do they revisit the most often?

So far that’s been thought of, Ezekiel revisits the death of his parents most often and Isaac revisits the possible events that led up to him becoming a decanus. 

How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

Ezekiel is willing to forget them if they didn’t directly wrong him. Isaac never forgets, he just chooses to overlook them but still keeping them in mind.

How sensitive are they to their own flaws?

Ezekiel never really recognizes his flaws until they’re pointed out. As he gets older though he does start to acknowledge them more. A scene I’ve thought of is when he’s 22 and still playing with children’s toy soldiers. He plays with them with little enthusiasm, abandoning his amusements not by choice. Isaac is aware of his flaws but doesn’t try to better them, but instead tries to better others. 

How do they feel about children?

Ezekiel at times believes he is a child, and will try to engage with other children. Some find it creepy but those that know him are fine with it because they know he has good intentions. Isaac is passionate about children and will protect them with his life. While escaping the legion, he had recruits younger than him that he helped escape, some ending up being adopted out to Dead Horse, Sorrows, and New Canaanite families. Even in the Legion, Isaac showed all children he came across respect and kindness.

How badly do they want to reach their end goal?

Neither truly has an end goal. Isaac wants to see the Legion end in a way where it’s people can recover as quickly as possible, so by working with the Followers of the Apocalypse, he can help out stragglers. Ezekiel just wants to become someone Joshua can be proud of. Be the son he never had and never expected to have.

If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

Isaac would say that he used to be attracted to women, but because he spent so much time around women who loved and cherished him for his kindness, he’d find it wrong to date someone who only loved that he was kind to them. He still finds women attractive, just not enough to act on it. As for men, he could tell you who is handsome, but in a platonic way. 

Ezekiel couldn’t tell for the longest time what he was attracted to, but in an alternative story line, when he thought it was women, he ended up finding himself feeling more for a man.

FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY STUFF

This wouldn’t be me if it had some sort of fancy banner, so you’re just gonna get my wall of text, lol. 

So when I decided to create a blog for Kol, I didn’t have any idea — ANY IDEA — what I was getting myself into. I was happily RPing in the Disney rpc with my Toy Story muse, and had amazing friends over there, lots of muse, and was really happy with where I was, RP-wise. 

But I’d just gotten back into The Originals, and had seen Kol’s comeback, and his story began to click for me. I needed that extra backstory — of seeing him, narratively, from the storyteller role and not just as an antagonist — to be able to really understand the potential of his character. We had a character who was introduced as a dark force, unpredictable, who was willing to get his hands dirty to achieve his goals. Originals fleshed out what he looks like from the other side of the story: his motivations, his relationship with his family, and what he is ultimately searching for. 

So I decided to make a Kol blog, but I was expecting it to be, like, not a big thing, you know? I was going to make him my “weekend blog” and I was going to have fun on him, but he wasn’t going to be my main muse. But as soon as I started digging into him, and realized how much room I had to grow and develop with a character who had SO MUCH untold story?? I fell really hard, and really fast. Soon, Kol was the only blog I was logging into. And faster than I realized it could happen, there were people who were responding to my version of him! I was being validated and galvanized to just keep going. 

I found this weird middle ground where I wasn’t apologizing for the horrific things Kol had done, but I wasn’t focusing on them, either. I was worried about making this blog because I don’t write viciousness that well. I don’t want a character who is in CONSTANT fight mode. I didn’t want every single interaction to be Kol hunting someone, Kol hurting someone. 

The last four years has been a series of ups and downs, character-wise. There have been things I’ve tried that have worked really well, and stayed with my portrayal of Kol! And there have been things that really needed to be brought back to the drawing board. Everything has been important and it’s definitely made me a stronger writer. 

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who’s stuck it out, through huge changes on my blog, through me backing away from Kol for times when my inspiration was low, through personal ups and downs which played with my strength as a writer. The opportunities I have are because I have people willing to try things out with me. I appreciate you all so much.

on this blog? i find isaac gets along really well with a large array of muses, but i’m an enormous fan of the ship compatibility with dani  @dangeress​.  isaac and daphne get each other. it seems to cross over into multiple universes with the kind of ease i am very pleasantly surprised by.

002 . what are you willing to write when it comes to shipping ?

pretty much everything.  enemies to lovers, childhood friends, starcrossed, domestic, bad/good, soulmates, tragedy...  99% of the time, i’m up for it.  i will never be up for writing isaac cheating on his partner, however.  he just... wouldn’t do that.

003 . how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable ?

i write isaac predominantly in his early to mid 20s, and i cannot see him dating anyone who isn’t also in their 20s.  as for canon interactions where isaac is still in high school, only characters in his year cohort would be considered for crush relationships.

004 . are you selective when shipping ?

sort of.  i don’t need chemistry testing in-character before plotting out a ship, i just need an ooc conversation to see how we bounce off of each other plotwise!  isaac definitely has a type when it comes to partners, but i’ve made those details pretty obvious over the years on this blog.  if you’re new here, his type is either 1) soft-hearted and deserves the entire world, or b) can kill him and he will say thanks.  there is no in-between.

005 . how far do steamy moments have to go before they are considered nsfw ?

the removal of clothes, basically.  and to be honest, that’s generally when i will fade-to-black on this blog -- if it ever gets that far lmao.

006 . who are other characters you ship your character with ?

i’m assuming this is canon oriented, in which case, literally everyone in canon except for erica and derek.  i am extremely dubious about shipping with stiles, but have done so in the past, so it can be done here, if i have a mutual understanding with my rp partner.

007 . does one have to ask to ship with you ?

not... necessarily.  if by ask, you mean replying in tags to me during a thread like ‘these two are flirting hardcore’, sure, that’s all i need.  usually, we can tell when there’s chemistry, and i just let my character do whatever the heck he wants.  to be frank, isaac is the vodka of teen wo/lf and mixes well with everyone.  he finds everyone hot (within his age bracket), so... take that on board.  feel free to ask me if you’d like to 100% clarify where his attraction stands though!  i’m always happy to goof ooc about my idiot son.

008 . ship obsessed, or ship more-or-less ?

i’m predominantly here for the plots, not the ships.  ships are just happy accidents that coincide my main goal: to write an interesting interaction between multiple characters, in a world that is so far removed from my own.  i love character exploration.

i am, though i hesitate to ship with duplicates, as i do not want to mistake interactions between different blogs, or seem like i’m not writing something unique.

dantalion doesn’t have a gender or pronouns to call them but, a millenia of people labeling danta as ‘he’ and ‘she’ and ‘they and them, their, theirs, themself, sie, hir, hir, hirs, hirself, zie, zir, zir, zirs, zirself, mx (etc.) or whatever you want to address them as, this is fine and they will respond to any of them

note that he just hates being called an angel and if asked ‘what’s in your pants?’ he will say, ‘your death date, wanna peek?’. after all he can appear as anyone but, he picks specific faces to stay in because he likes different attributes that they have. like one’s voice versus one’s eyes versus how they look in clothing or a wig or makeup.

note that he tends to just use he pronouns but, this was out of pure will to not just put down ‘demon. dantalion’ not mister or miss no, just ‘ah right this way, demon. dantalion’ but he has used dn as an abbreviation of demon in the place of said pronouns from time to time. if he remembers it.

he always knows how you think - consciously and subconsciously - and he can control these thoughts however he pleases. he can also teach people how to be telepathic.

note that he will never do this for any reason or for anyone. there is no exceptions. if vin or v cut you out through a bond, he won’t help you adapt to that by being telepathic. he’ll ease your mind, calm it down but, he will never offer a choice of telepathy. this is only because one: the drawback is that you still can’t read the mind of that ‘special someone’ you love and two: you still won’t be able to read his mind. there is no so-called ‘door’ where one opens and either one can read the other’s mind when it comes to him. that angel bit of him kicks in and kills the ‘invader’ by burning their mind completely until their eyes are just sockets. do not attempt to be the first to enter his mind if you are telepathic human/other species. you will die as a result.

note that the only reason vin can specifically do so and not [insert telepathic species here]/evangeline/v/allura/vigil is because vin had him in his head for what is marked down as years were actually many millennia (regenerations included). his species were trained to ‘expand their mind’ on a internalized literal level, vin expands his mind just as quickly as dantalion could burn someone out.

note that the only reason vin’s tardis (and at one point, vigil’s) is psychically able to talk to him - even outside vin’s body - is that the sentient technology is just that: technology. both dantalion and a tt capsule cannot possess each other because both minds are constantly at a standstill. he can understand what they are saying because the tt capsules are a flesh body away from becoming angels/demons themselves.

note that this also means that whatever kilgrave (because i rp a kilgrave @drbabygirl) does, that’s just basic extreme easy level okay. this is worse. don’t tempt him to do this, he’ll do it like he’s oprah and the world is his audience about to get a special surprise but hopped up on mentos, soda, caffeine and red bull all in one.

He teaches all art & sciences. You need a sculptor for tomorrow, he can fix that. you need a physics and biology teacher? he got you.

He can teach on how to achieve alternative states of consciousness (OOBE, Lucid dream, higher states, past life reading, hypnosis etc.) and he can accompany you during them

note that he won’t. he just won’t. humans need sleep. don’t break your brain.

He can help you open astral senses or knowledge of something that you want to know (you might die or you might go into a coma. or a deep sleep. it depends on what you want to know) but, he won’t do it.

Teaches persuasion, manipulation, lies, flirt, good speeches, relations, mind control, generally all social skills. he does all of this too, this is why he has friends and lovers and why he has an abandoned apartment building as his earth home, resident of one: himself.

He can heal or help you with low self-esteem, negative thoughts, neuroses, depression, other coded wounds in one’s subconscious.

he doesn’t talk about doing this but, if your muse is just chill with a demon who has a taste for killing and taking his advice on anything when it comes to those issues, this is the reason why.

he will never say it like that. and he will do it while the other is conscious just like a tardis will just automatically translate without the human/species consent. it’s just there.

He can suddenly put in a state of deep peace and relaxation, and show you how to do this with your mind and has the ability of knowing the exact word to calm said mind.

note he will not teach you how to do this. he’ll just calm your mind. the last human he taught this died gruesomely despite trying to making it seem like a good thing but, only realized the second dantalion just watched with a confused grin that dantalion wasn’t going to help stop what was happening to them.

He can cause love or other emotions 

note that it used to be that if the person didn’t know you at all (i.e. a complete stranger) they couldn’t instantly fall in love with you but, now at this point, he can actually do this. though this will intentionally backfire for those that ask this of him. it will get the desired effect for a day but, then it becomes a ‘if i can’t have you no one will again’ situation.

why is your muse extremely annoyed/angry by his presence? that’s him. the little shit. 

Has the ability to cause obsession (any kind of obsession), illusions , fear or hallucinations. This is why ‘scaring’ him doesn’t work. He’s not easily phased by what a canonical/original villain can do, let alone a beginner of a ‘good guy’. If he can cause fear then he will have no fear and remember, he enjoys manipulating the mind so, if you want to scare him, you might need try a little harder than ‘angel-based’ weapons and ‘demon blood’. Maybe showing (accurately) on how to turn him back into an angel will work (and with positive results. He’s knowledgable so, he’ll know if its’ incorrect or correct without giving it away and i won’t give it away because ahaaaaaaaaaah i haven’t written it and i’ll forget it so, no. good luck.)

Cause lust (and he’s extremely very good at it. scarily good at it. i wish i was exaggerating but, it’s also canon-based on the actual demon so, i’m not exaggerating. i’m just relaying it. could i write it? no but, i can list it.)

that kink, that one kink you think no one knows that you/the muse have - that happen to be an actual thing - he knows it and will not tell you how or why he knows it and knows well enough to make a profession of it. he’ll act on it. (me, i gotta research it but, HEALREADYKNEWITIMUGH)

Finds a person similar to others and causes them to unite (even if your other half is technically dead) either romantically or platonically. 

Knows secrets (knowledge, but not only) and reveals secret councils, which means that if there is a secret society, he will know about it. unfortunately, no exceptions.

Can show a person other aspects of their own personality and makes that person more charismatic or who they want to become. yet again, depending on the person as of late, he bounces off what their partner wants and eggs people on. 

hence why for most of vin’s spouses, he tends to wind people up when it comes to hurting him/desiring him because its what they mentally want to do and he always want someone to act on what they actually want. it’s the truth.

Can cause people not paying attention to you. This is a benefit for espionage but, can also be horrible for others who want to be noticed but, he just goes ‘nah, suffer’ .

I tend to write 500+ words per post, 3rd person, past-tense. I have no length requirements so long as you give me something to bounce off. I’d like coherent grammar and spelling, but I’m not crazy picky.

Chill atmosphere. RP'ing is a hobby and isn’t worth it unless it’s fun for everyone involved. That being said, I can comfortably respond once a day, but I usually match my partner’s pace. I expect you to understand if I need to go a few days without replying, take a break, or go on hiatus. Real life always comes first, and I’ll happily extend you the same courtesy. Also, ditching happens. I get it. I don’t sweat the details.

Looking mostly for M/M, tho I’d be open to F/F too. That being said, nothing turns me away more than someone who only plays the submissive role, so if this is you, we’re not going to mesh. I’d rather not distinguish what position characters take in bed and let it flow naturally.

I really enjoy writing smut. I think I’m one of the few people that can pretty much just write PWP forever. That being said, I do still expect a story, and the level of smut can vary depending on what you’re comfortable with. I don’t have many limits at all, but my big, non-negotiable No’s are mpreg, A/B/O, underaged characters, scat, and vomit. I’m always happy to fade to black or accomodate your limits. We can discuss this more in private.

My characters tend to be very quirky. I like giving them extremes: making them particularly amazing in a few areas, at the detriment of being severely lacking in others. Flawed geniuses. I enjoy giving them pretty radical personality types and don’t do well playing mild, average characters.

What I’m looking for:

Genres: high fantasy, superheroes, supernatural, adventure, modern fantasy, monsters, apocalypse, etc.

Character-driven. Come at me if you have OC’s you’re craving to play! Traditionally, I play humans or humanoid-like characters, but open to playing against your monster boys, dragons, nagas, shapeshifters, etc etc. I have a soft spot for humanoid x creature pairings but it’s not a requirement.

I like both fluff and dark themes. Sickeningly sweet romance and then a dose of gore. Relationships that are sunshine and relationships that are twisted and messed up. I think it’s fun when a roleplay has tons of up’s and down’s, and I like all of it.

My plot ideas:

I’m actually pretty dry on plots at the moment, so if you have something you’re craving let me know! I’m open to most things. Here’s a few vague possibilities off the top of my head:

Kingdoms at war: Can be various types of kingdoms, but two individuals on opposite sides of a war end up in a situation where they have to depend on one another to survive: getting stranded, a huge monster attack, unexpected bigger enemy appearing, etc. They could be the leaders of each kingdom, the children of those leaders, or random soldiers.

Knights and monsters: A famous knight or bounty hunter ends up in an unlikely scenario where he’s paired up with the kind of monster he’s usually fighting.

Rebellion: Characters live in an oppressive regime. One character is gathering up a rebellion. The other, who could be anyone ranging from a poor nobody to a rich noble, decides to follow along with their cause.

Assassins/Bounty Guild/Mercenaries: Through a wild series of circumstances, one character ends up joining an elite group of assassins/mercenaries, and it’s up to the other character to train him. (I would love to play the experienced guy  in this situation!)

Superheroes: BNHA or Tiger & Bunny inspired. Characters join an organization to be superheroes. They could be classmates, assigned as partners, or, similar to the assassins plot, take on more of a mentor/student role.

Adventure: Characters are explorers tasked with reaching a specific location, chasing after some kind of legendary treasure in an incredibly hostile environment. They can be rivals or partners, or from various different walks of life all trying to reach the same goal.

Gladiators: Boys in an arena, either a fighter and his owner, or two fighters who have to duke it out for the crowds.

Okay so one thing I really like about your blog is your theme i think it is very cute and i like the colors and i like how it changes depending on the time of day i just think it is very cute.

But like in a more serious sense, i really love how like your blog is a treasure trove of very good info about your muses you reblog lots of different kinds of posts about your oc's which is v helpful for the uninitiated traveling through the pages and looking for fodder to start interactions with you.

I also think it's v cool how often you tag your rp partners ( not just me although it does make my heart go doki doki <3 ) because like! I don't know if you know how special it feels to write with you because you are so enthusiastic and so interested in other people's art and writing and muses. It's like. Sometimes the rpc feels very insular and isolated and it's discouraging, but you, Nico, are very warm and genuine and interested and i think it's just so nice and i know for a fact that I am not the only person who appreciates having someone be so communicative and interested in the silly little things we are making together.

Your writing is obviously very good. I love the emotion you put behind all of your characters and I love your word choice. I like how the tone of replies changes between characters. Kai's are musical and sing song and whiplash-y because of his emotional stuff. Red's are very internal and there's a struggle where you watch him try to decide just what he's going to allow the other muse to know and it's honestly! so interesting waiting to see what hypothetical ( and not hypothetical!) my muse is going to learn from him and what I, the writer, will be the only one who gets to know. Keerin feels so even keeled and Steady, but there's this turbulence that they keep to themselves and it kinda leaks out sometimes in more emotional threads and I think that's so interesting because it has so much potential to go places. Umm............ Jay is just so fun. I love the way Jay talks and I love Jay's whole Shounen Protag vibe i love the character arc I've seen her go through with other rp partners of yours and I love the contradiction inherent in someone so warm and fun but also so secretly private.

I love bouncing my muses off of yours because I think we find similar issues compelling and it's fun to see how our characters have developed and where their similarities branch off into stark differences (Like Tessa and Kai :3).

Anyway, I could keep going and this is already very long and I'm not sure if it makes very much sense, but I will wrap this up by saying that I think the best part of your blog is you because you are so hardworking and kind and creative and talented and you are so willing to support the people around you and you are so caring and passionate and ily v much and i hope you know that you are a gem in the rpc and a gem of a human being in general mwah mwah mwah

Do you mean in Hellsing or in general cause I haven't seen too many fights that last a couple of seconds. Also would writing a fictional character that is a vampire hurt you medically trained brain?

{ Oh dear- fights in anime never tend to last just a few seconds. ( DBZ always being my favorite example of this). I did mean about writing them in general! The fights in Hellsing are very dramatic and drawn out in the same way when it involves main characters.

Seeing it in animation doesn’t tend to bother me, even if I do tend to poke fun at it from time to time with the ridiculous amount of damage characters can take. 

Me writing fight scenes is a whole ‘nother deal though. I try to put a lot of realism in the way I portray my characters and what affects them, so my mind always draws back on what I learned in Nursing school whenever somebody gets hurt.  

See, people can take punches and kicks alright for the most part, but as soon as you bring a knife or a gun into the equation? Any amount of damage can turn out to be very dangerous and a lot more crippling than we would expect. Adrenaline also runs out pretty fast in a life-or-death situation like that, and the exhaustion can wear you out pretty quickly ( not to mention do the opposite of what you want it to do when it sends your heart racing after an injury that leaves you bleeding) 

But Rachel, I hear you say- why are you concerned about this when your character’s a gosh darn artificially made vampire whose canon abilities involve speed that’s fast enough to dodge bullets and bounce back up after being shot several times in the chest?

LET ME TELL YOU - ITS BECAUSE VAMPIRE ABILITIES IN HELLSING ULTIMATE ARE INCONSISTENT 

It’d be easier if I was able to pinpoint what mechanic the series runs on when it comes to how the artificial vampires are able to absorb damage and heal. It’s never made very clear in comparison to a series like Baccano! for example, that uses a time reversal mechanic to make its immortals able to absorb any amount of damage- and they’re all on the same level! Hellsing isn’t so nice when it comes to trying discern why Luke can apparently get shot in the head without any problem but god forbid he gets his legs torn off he cant reattach that with magical bats like Alucard can. Why the difference??? Like I guess you could argue that Luke lost his ability to heal himself after he became terrified but then if his emotions have an influence on his regeneration, how can he heal at all after he’s been shot through the brain that makes it possible for him to have them??

That’s not even starting to get to the fact that the level of strength and dexterity Zorin has is really variant depending on the scene, but I guess that’s par for the course with anime. 

Don’t take this as a criticism for the show though, it’s still my favorite anime series ( though I do want to find out why Zorin’s shirt magically regenerates without any holes after she gets  shot). But in rp this translates pretty poorly when I’m so detail orientated. With other characters usually this is where I’d say that I know my fight scenes would be too short for most of my partners liking, but it has an different story with Zorin. I tend to underplay her abilities all the time because I’m confused about what to think because the lore of how much damage she can take feels so inconscient so I take the weaker options since I’m scared of coming off like a god-mod. This habit used to put me in a lot of situations where I’d let another character win a fight because I didn’t have any solid proof for my character’s resistances and I don’t recommend it because it was a lot of people using their characters to play the ‘hero’ when they magically knew everything Zorin had done wrong :’) It really sucked and Zorin honestly deserved better than that sorry bae

As to why it doesn’t bother me to play her in general- it’s because at this point I’ve invented my own biology for her more or less through the years? I got my own rules I play on, and as long as I keep those consistent, it doesn’t bother me. }

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Honestly, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I followed you. All I knew from my first impressions was that a lot of thought and effort had gone into creating Osiris, but after reading his information and roleplaying with him a bit? He’s one of the most refreshing OCs I’ve seen in a long while. His magical abilities, his personality, the way he interacts with other people, his ‘other half’? Everything about him is really unique and engaging and he has the ability to adapt to a lot of different roles. I just think he’s really phenomenal. There are so many things about him that I love and I’m very glad that you reached out to me about roleplaying, because it’s been great thus far!How they play them: You created him and no one could play him better than his creator, so... A+!The Mun: My gods, you are such a sweet person. You put effort into keeping up OOC conversation, even when it takes me a million years to get back to you sometimes (I mean... pretty sure I need to reply to our IM conversation right now XD). You’re very kind, extremely fun to bounce ideas off of, and seem to take a great deal of joy in coming up with things that work for both of us. You’re also very mindful of things that might be potentially triggering, which is great. While I don’t really have many triggers and am down to rp just about anything, I really appreciate that you’ve approached me and asked me about limitation. 1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Idristan likes to think that he wants to settle down somewhere, maybe focus on writing down everything he’s learned about voidsent and voidtouched, and start a very nice garden. But in truth, I don’t think he’s ever really gonna do that. He gets really restless when he has nothing to do. Plus, it doesn’t do his self-destructive habits any good...

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Depends on how you’re going about it. He can appreciate wit and laughing at others. More traditional jokes might not fly as well.

3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)

These days? He’s been mainly using a combination of alcohol and potions to more or less pass out. Usually he would read or think for a bit.

4. How easy is it to earn their trust?

Idristan believes in varying degrees of trust. Getting him to trust you completely is hard. He’s been living with some secrets that could get him killed for years, and it’s really hard to get him to open up entirely with anyone because of that--at least, if he gets a choice in the matter.

5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Fairly easily. Again, varying degrees.

6. Do they consider laws flexible, or immovable?

Very flexible. Idristan believes in doing what is right--specifically, what he believes is right. If that means doing things that are illegal in the pursuit of that, then so be it.

7. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

Spending time in the Brume. The smell of beef stew. Snow on Starlight. And it’s mixed for him. He enjoyed his childhood, as much as could be expected, but there’s a lot of guilt and regret there now too. He is sorry he couldn’t be there for his sister for all those years or speak to his mother again before she died.

8. What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?

To stop getting into fights.

9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?

Oh, yeah. He mainly sticks to blasphemy, but slips in a bloody, shite, or fuck now and then. All that Limsan influence lately. And yes. If only because his mother came down hard on him for it.

10. What lie do they most frequently remember telling? Does it haunt them?

Honestly, it’s hard for him to keep track. Once you’re gone through a couple of different identities and general lying about your past, it can be hard to keep straight. Perhaps saying he’s fine when he’s really not--and that one has gotten him into trouble before.

11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?

He’ll ask for clarification. Often not very nicely, but he’ll ask.

12. How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?

Grumble and try to ignore it.

13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Black, of course. And it’s not bad on him, though he can pull off white fairly well too.

14. What animal do they fear most?

Dragons. Certain voidsent.

15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Carefully. He tends to hold back a lot (see lack of trust). Certain topics you practically see his mind working as he judges answers.

Working with cultists.

Yes. He is rather prideful.

Weakness. Admitting he made a mistake.

Because lying around doing nothing is far worse.

He tends to become possessive, and a bit sulky as well.

Sooo much resentment. So much. He’s far better about it now that’s he’s older, but it flares up every now and then.

24. Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

To his partner he’s fine with it. To everyone else, not really. He thinks it’s something that should be kept private. Basically he’s still a bit of a prude--though he’s getting better about it.

25.  What are their thoughts on marriage?

He likes the idea. He’s very much a monogamist and a traditional romantic. While he could live happily with a partner without ever making it official, there’s part of him that wants to do the whole ceremony and everything.

26. What is their preferred mode of transportation?

Anything but airships. Seriously. Anything.

27. What causes them to feel dread?

The thought that his secrets might come out. The idea that he might lose himself or hurt someone because of one of them. Inquisitors. Airship travel.

28.  Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?

No.

29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

Yes, but he usually doesn’t see it that way himself. His standards for himself are far higher than those he keeps for other people.

30. Who do they most regret meeting?

Uathach, Draidetch, Richaud.

31. Who are they the most glad to have met?

@solennelagarde​, of course. And @ser-gemini​. And @synn-heolstor​ and Michaux... not he would ever admit that to either of their faces. And ARK as a whole is slowly getting there.

No, he tends to wing it. And since most of his jokes are either at someone’s expense or rather grim and fatalistic, it’s perhaps for the best he doesn’t always start with them.

33. Could they be considered lazy?

Kind of. He gets bored easily, and that tends to result in him slacking off--or trying to pin whatever it is on someone else. If it’s something he actually cares about though? Hello obsession, my name is Idristan.

34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?

That’s actually possible? Someone should really tell him; the guy hangs onto things and just beats himself up, sometimes for years. It’s not pretty.

35. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

If it’s something that interests him, he’ll share in the excitement, at least to a degree. If not, you’re more likely to get a “yeah, that’s nice” and perhaps an attempt to change the topic.

36. Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap?

He tends to wait for it.

37. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)?

For names he tries to memorize them along with the face. Or... sometimes tries, if he thinks it’ll actually be worth it. Long lists and numbers I can see him trying to turn into songs, or at least something he can hum.

38. What memory do they revisit the most often?

The happy ones are mainly of his family and the time he spent with Solenne and all of his friends in the last free company he was apart of. He doesn’t really try to dwell on them, especially now.

The unhappy ones... well, those tend to come up in nightmares and certain places. There are reasons he avoids certain places in the Shroud now.

39. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people?

Very, very difficult.

40. How sensitive are they to their own flaws?

Oh, he’s aware of them. He just chooses to ignore them.

41. How do they feel about children?

He likes them. He wants some of his own one day.

42. How badly do they want to reach their end goal?

Extremely. It’s honestly a bit unhealthy.

43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

“I mainly like women. Not that it’s likely any of your concern, because flings don’t really tend to interest me.”

He also has some fairly lofty goals that give him a direction to move in--even if it’s unlikely that he’ll ever achieve a few of them, watching him struggle is entertaining. Plus, he’s got a lot of stuff that he struggles with, so that can come into play--and a few secrets that can be danced around. Basically it’s just easy to throw him into things and see what happens. That and he’s gone through some really interesting growth already, and I’m interested in seeing which direction he moves in now.

B) What inspired you to create them?

Honestly? Two things. Thanks to the MSQ and some Ishgard rp I really started to like the setting and wanted an Ishgardian to play around on. Second, I fell in love with the characters from a podcast--or at least, the idea for one. Basically there was one guy who started out as a psychologist then got dragged into the occult and became a paranormal investigator. So I took the basic idea, twisted it a bit (voidsent hunter instead of investigator), and found a way to make it work with an Ishgardian backstory. He actually ended up pretty different than said character as a result, especially motivation-wise. C) Did you have trouble figuring out where they fit in their own story?

Sometimes. I feel like I’m really not that great at coming up with long-term plots, plus it hasn’t always been easy to find people that he bounces off of well. D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

Pretty much the same. I settled on what he would look like really on once I had an idea what I was working on.

E) Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

No, probably not. I mean... the guy’s kind of a jerk. And he’s pretty particular about the people he likes. F) What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?

Sometimes I just want to facepalm cause he’s a stubborn idiot who doesn’t always think about peoples’ feelings. But I’m proud of all the ways he’s changed too. G) What trait of theirs bothers you the most?

He is really self-destructive. He’s got some bad habits that he is actively not working on, has a bad tendency of pushing people away, and just.... being too prideful and stubborn to admit that he needs help. H) What trait do you admire most?

His stubbornness, ironically. He’s gone through a lot, yet he’s still around and he’s still empathetic to other people. He wants to do some good in the world. He hasn’t let it turn him completely resentful and bitter. I) Do you prefer to keep them in their canon universe?

I usually come up with new characters for new settings. An AU could be interesting though. J) Did you have to manipulate or exclude canon factors to allow them to create their character?

I had to dive really into Ishgard lore to make sure that I was getting everything right (hell, I had to check something fairly recently). So I feel fairly confident his backstory makes sense and fits with what we know. There’s been some other stuff that’s happened to him that’s a bit lore-bendy, and while I feel like I can justify it really well, I acknowledge what it is.

Out of Mercy // RE: “Mary Sue” Anon

I actually blocked this anon because I don’t have time to waste sitting here defending my muse to some spineless toad who can’t say this stuff off anon (which only tells me this is either someone I speak to/have spoken to or it’s someone who has nothing better to do than to trash someone’s blog. Hm.

Admittedly, this kind of stung. It’s been a minute since I’ve had something this bitter arrive in my inbox. And normally with Anon I block and move on. Because I just love it when I see on statcounter someone hunting my page and camping my anonymous answered ask tag.

But I need to post this. Because with every answer, with every reblog, with everything I’ve posted since receiving this, my brain reminds me that this anon existed. This anon robbed me of my surety in my writing and AU, and I know this won’t last forever. I’ll get over it, and move on eventually, but for now it still stings –

So this is how I’m getting over it.

So, Anon, hi. I ended up screencapping this and talking about this amongst my group of friends who know the game better than I ever could because it…. well… to be honest…  your statements are horrendously unfounded.

My AU is solid. I write with people who meticulously comb through every tiny scrimp of detail added to this game each and every update. New dialogue pops up? We know about it. A new settlement placed in Liedes? Oh you bet your ass we’ve got that listed down somewhere. 

The entire game that you’re claiming that I fucked canon to suit my character is full of plotholes and unanswered questions and its own fair share of contradictions. Maybe instead of using copy/paste from Wikipedia you could actually play this game and see for yourself before you come to me about plot holes and bizarre story lines. (I mean, ffs. This is a game that profits off fantasy and crazy plots…)

Or don’t. Really, I don’t care what you do.

But if you’re going to drop in and call my muse a Mary Sue (which… how?) Maybe you can also go to each and every other Canon muse who has a Mermaid!AU or a Royalty!AU or a Genderswap!AU and give them grief for things that just don’t make sense on the surface but people find harmless fulfillment out of.

Or – again – don’t. In fact, I’d prefer that you don’t because what kind of shithead goes and fucks up someone else’s enjoyment. (Oh right, I can think of a few people…)

I mean, my AU is a huge stretch but it’s better than just ‘dropping Seifer in the middle of Cleigne with  -GASP!- AMNESIA!’ or some other cheesy, underdeveloped trope that actually makes it harder for my writing partners to keep the thread going strong. We don’t have to accept it as canon/headcanon/alternate canon/whatever. That’s the joy of RP. We can literally do whatever we want.

I mean, at least I put effort into it, right? That’s saying something, isn’t it?

And if there are holes in my AU, or something that doesn’t add up– It isn’t exactly like I’m not open to suggestions. Just… not when they’re delivered on an Anon system. Maybe in the comfort of a private DM where we can bounce back ideas and do that whole ‘character development’ thing?

In his AU, Seifer is a regular Glaive. He’s no one special, he’s treated no different than anyone else. I did give him a position of command, putting him on-par with Luche’s position– but in a different division – but only after working for it. It’s Seifer’s canon in VIII that he was put in a position of leadership. He was a Squad Leader, and so that’s my way of integrating those little details for Seifer from VIII and placing them into a completely different Universe. 

He has a past, but it’s secret to most interactions. It isn’t like I’m sending Seifer into threads going ‘I’m a prince. Look how pretty I am!’ If anything, this makes it an even greater challenge for when Seifer has to work harder to keep his past covered up, trust those he engages with, etc. 

Lastly, 90% of the relationships and friendships and connections established in my AU have been based off RP interactions with other roleplayers, thus further enriching my AU and building a realistic muse in an XV setting. And these little details that I add to my AU are used with explicit permission from the people I write with. I’m not making him Super Best Friends™ with the main cast  – if you follow my blog, you’ll notice I lean towards engaging the side characters, the OCs and the other fun people who helped build XV into this amazing Universe we can all write in.

You’re hung up on the wrong details, dear anon, and I could taste your salt before I even opened up the ask. My suggestion is to focus on your own muse – because the majority vote, given the interactions and the enjoyment people get writing with Seifer is in my favor, not yours. 

You’re not obligated to write with me or read my blog, you can move on. I’m just here to write. Perhaps you should do the same. :)

RP Wishlist

[[Since I’m slowly becoming more active on this blog again, and desperately want more mutuals to interact with, I decided that instead of just posting a series of starter calls, I’d actually write down some potential plots I have wanted to explore for some time now, and would like to find the right person to explore these themes with.

None of these ideas are set in stone, there is plenty of room for growth and re-working, they’re just key themes I’ve always wanted to explore but never could work them into an ongoing plot.

I’m also interested in hearing about your ideas. Roleplaying is a two way street and I’m not asking for someone to dedicate their time effort into my muse’s character arc without helping developing yours in turn. [Both/Either Muses]

Elite Squad - Team Chaar and it’s members (Strika, Blackout, Cyclonus, Spittor, Mindswipe, Blot, and Sky-byte.)

This verse would only be open to actual members of Team Chaar. I’m not against the idea of your muse having an au where they are a member of Team Chaar and it’s rotating roster, but I mainly want to see my muses interact with those in their actual canon. To build upon the established dynamic in their single scene and craft some amazing relationships and new headcanons. How was each member introduced, how do they bounce off each other, do they even like each other? Why does Oil Slick find Spittor so disgusting, and how did Scalpel feel about having to repair Mindswipe?

Note: Romance is not necessary for this verse. Actually, I haven’t really considered it since one of the major things that makes a group dynamic so enjoyable to watch is the lack of romance and the empathises on platonic comradery.

Space Bridge 687-030 - Team Athenia and it’s members (Rodimus Prime, Red Alert, Hotshot, Ironhide and Brawn)

Again, another verse that would only be open to muses listed above. Every character needs a good rivalry and I loved seeing Team Athenia step up and take on one of Megatron’s most feared Generals and her personal strike force. I would especially be interested in exploring a possible rivalry with Rodimus Prime, considering the Oil Slick put him out of commission for so long. I bet Rodimus would want some well deserved payback for that cheap stunt.

Note: Can be canon divergent. Relationships are not really necessary for this verse to work, but unlike Elite Squad, I am more open to the idea because I’m a sucker for cross-faction ships (especially if its Red Alert).

[Oil Slick Only]

The Wreckers [au] - Oil Slick searching for Grinder’s murderer.

Grinder was partnered up with Oil Slick during the height of the Great War, before he was killed by the Wreckers under unknown circumstances. Oil Slick, showing actual compassion for someone other than himself, is determined to find the Autobot responsible for his partner’s death and make them pay, slowly.

I am willing to blend elements of the IDW Comic interpretation of the Wreckers into this AU and even help build the foundations for a new Wrecker Team in the TFA universe. Please keep in mind that your muse doesn’t necessarily have to be the one who offlined Grinder, just as long as you identify as a Wrecker, you have Oil Slick’s attention.

If however you did want to take credit for Grinder’s termination, then that would have to be something we discuss in great detail, because Oil Slick is going to be blinded by his emotions and not thinking straight. Your muse would be Oil Slick’s enemy through and through. Someone he doesn’t just want dead, but begging for death.

I would especially love the idea of plotting a thread where Oil Slick develops some kind of relationship with your muse, not knowing what they’ve done, and is eventually confronted by the truth further down the line.

Note: Open to muses (canon or non-canon) who are, or have ever been, part of the Wreckers lineup.

Toxic Deluxe [au] - Based on the Toxic Oil Slick action figure that was never produced

An au where Oil Slick has undergone some horrific modifications (either by his own hand or some freak accident), that has left him unable to take off his outer-armour and glass helmet without infecting any Cybertronian he comes into contact with. This makes him a powerful weapon on the battlefield, but it leaves Oil Slick unable to have any physical contact with another bot. The experience isolates him from everyone, partially because he can never touch anyone again, and also because everyone is afraid to be in the same room as him.

Note: Open to anyone. Possible gore and nsfw material. Romance is not necessary, but possible if there is chemistry between muses.

Human [au] - Exactly what it says on the tin. A human AU

To avoid any confusion I will elaborate right now, I’m not interested in a standard, normal human au that is exactly identical to our own, boring every day existence. If I am going to plot a human au, then there needs to be a niche to it. I love putting humans in different settings and turning that world into a sandbox. Whether it is a sci-fi adventure in space, high fantasy with dragons and witchcraft, post-apocalyptic cyberpunk, or even Victorian era steampunk with vampires! I will write anything that is not the generic, anime slice of life high school setting (although that would be hilarious XD).

Note: I will however plot a modern day earth au if Oil Slick is using his holo avatar

[Scalpel Only]

Tyran Scalpel [au] - Set in the same continuity as the live action Bay movies.

A slight divergent within the main story line where Scalpel is mysteriously absent after his initial introduction in ROTF. Taking bits from the tie-in comics, Scalpel is still alive, acting as medibot for the surviving Decepticons and taking full advantage of his small stature to sneak into military facilities and download any sensitive materials or free captured Decepticons (Seriously, he teams up with Bludgeon helped free all the prisoners. That’s kinda badass)

Behind the mask [au] - Scalpel was a normal transformer? Waaa?

Due to the lack of any miniformers in the TFA continuity, I want to explore the idea that Scalpel was not always so tiny. We know he is sentient, has an altmode, and I’m assuming, a spark, but what if he was a regular Autobot before the war? What if something happened to him that ultimately lead to him becoming the irritable mantis-bot he is today?

This au would have to be set with a muse who knew Scalpel before, or during, the Great War on Cybertron. I have a quite a few headcanons as to what Scalpel would be like during this time, how he looked, and even his work at the Ministry of Science with Perceptor and the other scientists, but I want to keep this vague as possible so I can discuss the possible relationship your muse would have with Scalpel, assuming there is one.

Note: This thread in particular would have to be very political, due to the time-frame it is set in, and because TFA is so vague about how Cybertron was run before the revolt. We can move the thread into a future timeline where Scalpel has undergone his change in appearance and reunites with your muse in his new body, but I would like to establish a backstory first before going down that route.

When I started shipping it if I did:@dazaisuggestions and @chuuyasuggestions respectively created art and fic for those assholes and since @fitzgeraldsuggestions is a long time RP-partner, I started shipping it as a joke until I actually started thinking about it and it is now my preferred Aku ship. 

My thoughts:I think Fitzgerald and Akutagawa are similar in a lot of ways, even if the way they go about getting what they want in vastly different manners (mostly.) Fitzgerald is very Machiavellian and Akutagawa obviously has the Darwinist comparison that has been driven into the ground and those ideas/philosophies I find are fairly complimentary. There’s also that one line in the Fitz/Sushi/Aku fight where Aku refers to Fitz as his “dessert” so i mean like- 

What makes me happy about them:They’re such an unexpected combination and it’s incredibly fun writing content for them because of that. I like doing unexpected/off the wall bullshit. 

What makes me sad about them:The fact that I’m pretty sure if I’m being 100% honest nothing between them would end entirely happily or ideally. 

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:There’s not enough fan fic, that’s mother fuckin’ what. 

Things I look for in fanfic:Well u see I gotta have fan fic to begin with so-

When I started shipping it if I did:I started shipping it because two thots named @fitzgeraldsuggestions and @hplovecraftsuggestions made me. 

My thoughts:I think, like most rare pairs, it’s an interesting dynamic to explore. especially considering the fact that Fitzgerald and Lovecraft are so different from each other. Mostly I  like writing them in gross D/s situations because I’m nasty. 

What makes me happy about them:I think the fact that even though Fitzgerald is a bastard there’s a mutually beneficial exchange between him and Lovecraft. 

What makes me sad about them:They’re never gonna be canon and also Lovecraft jumped into the sea. Fitz misses you, squid papi. 

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:Uhhhm what fan fic lmfao. 

Things I look for in fanfic:I would look for going in depth with how they met, how their relationship formed, what happens to it after Lovecraft bounces - if there was fan fic. *insert Fairly Oddparents meme* 

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Well it’s no secret that in addition to this rare ass rare pair I also ship Fitzaku and Kunicraft so like I mean.
