the film group did a class over zoom tonight for an hour with a set designer and I didnt get to look her up before i joined bc I hadnt been certain i'd attend but it turned out she is,, pretty up there on some big projects dfhbSDB

#she was very nice!! and she had a lot of good solid advice #and i actually feel motivated to get back into attending meetups now so there's that too #she said something i thought was interesting/kind of funny about how small the industry actually is #like at least when you're for the most part working out of one location #and it IS kind of wild. like obviously im in a place where the film scene is wholly smaller indie projects #but people here came from LA or have worked in LA or nyc or atlanta and have some insane connections #it's simultaneously a huge industry and also everyone kind of knows each other if you're around for long enough
