I may be a bit lazy in writing further thoughts on Horizons atm but be assured: I still love it a ton ton ton. It has not slowed down. Heck, I actually enjoy current slower pace chill arc because it gives us a moment to breathe before more heavy stuff comes their way. And they're doing a pretty good job at promoting Paldea 'mon, which I appreciate! (unlike certain other series <.< AHEM!)

We're fast approaching the first anniversary of Horizons thou, and that makes me wonder if it has any plans relating to it, or if it will end it's run before it. Judging by current eps, I'm expecting the series to last a bit longer, BUT, I expect Terapagos stuff to end before anniversary, or a bit past it. Not much reason to stall the Terapagos plot further than that.

Very excited to see how today's ep holds out and, I may have accidentally spoiled myself on a future ep.... oh boi.

SM086 - Thoughts

Simply put, I loved this episode. It may be a typical “Rocket Gang comes and steals Satoshi and others Pokémon” plot, but it has great character moments, and I love how we got to learn more about Ride Pokémon, and just how human this episode was. Pokémon need refreshment from time to time, they need more than just Pokémon Center from time to time too! And how each Pokémon is given their own course depending on their condition is great! Without further ado, let’s talk about my favourite moments in our newest episode of Pokémon Sun & Moon, before the highly anticipated Necrozma Arc begins:

I Choose Here! The Pokémon Steam Paradise!

So the Ultra Guardians are heading to Pokémon Paradise Resort on Akala Island to have a relaxing time after being called to so many Ultra Beast missions lately. Lusamine is paying their trip there, which honestly is an extremely nice act from her! What I loved about the opening scene is how Mamane and Mao explain the place to Satoshi, to which Satoshi goes all sparkle eyes. He’s clearly excited to go there, and it shows later on as well! I honestly love it when they show that side of him, because then we’re reminded he’s still a kid inside, even with such amount of battle expertism!

Another moment I absolutely adore is how every trainer seems to feel close to their Ride Pokémon. Somehow I adore Suiren and Hakuryu’s moments throughout the episode, even if one could consider them small.  Gosh I wish I could get myself a Hakuryu figurine to accompany my Suiren nendoroid :D (with Ashimari as well).

Another moment I loved is how Yareyutan is apparently a regular customer at the Spa. This darn Pokémon keeps on coming back to Sun & Moon episodes and I have to say, he’s by far one of my favourite recurring Pokémon on the cast as of this moment.

And of course Suiren has the best lines :))) I think she’s slowly becoming the very top favourite character on my list. I just really adore her ok?

Thou honestly, after learning about Ishizuka’s passing and him apparently being the voice behind Yareyutan, it kinda feels sad to see Yareyutan in this episode now. And I bet any future episode that’s been pre-recorded with his lines are gonna have same effect. I may have been a fan of Pokeani for only about one year and maybe three months, but his voice has stuck to me through a lot of voice roles he’s had (Hohenheim from FMA:B and Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop being most memorable before Pokeani), so it has hit me quite a bit. Bit of a sidenote regarding the episode, but felt like mentioning. He’ll be greatly missed.

This conversation with Mao and Satoshi is absolutely amazing as well. I keep on getting the ‘big sis’ vibes from Mao lol. Also, this is 100% Satoshi. I mean, he knows they came there to take care of their Ride Pokémon, but when he’s excited, he tends to go with the flow. And this is one of those moments. I just loved it a lot.

When the Ride Pokémon are given examinations on their conditions and given recommended courses, Satoshi’s reaction is so cute! He truly thinks all of this is amazing! He’s so excited!

And how Satoshi is so excitedly running to the changing room is just amazing.

I absolutely adored Rocket Gang in this episode. They had such good going throughout the episode, showing their skills and all. It was absolutely hilarious how everything they did in this episode actually turned out to be helping the Ride Pokémon relax. What amazing buffoons they are!

While Satoshi and others are at the Care Area of this Spa, their partner Pokémon have gone to the Play Area to have fun. While others are playing in the pool with slides, Nyaheat, Bakugames and Amajo are taking a tan. So to speak. And I have to say, I keep on loving Amajo more and more in every single episode since her evolution debut, and I find that amazing. She basically did nothing in this episode, but her enjoying the sun and prompting the two fire Pokémon do the same somehow just makes me adore Amajo more. What is it with me...

This scene is absolutely amazing! First Satoshi gets excited about the hot spring and jumps in, then that act prompts Flygon to jump in (Mao calling Satoshi out for making Flygon copy him), and then Gablias does the same! These two have so much personality in them.

And then this scene happens!

They all really love the Spa and really want to jump in like Satoshi did lol. Don’t do this at home, like Lilie says after this!

We’re not even a third of the episode in and I’ve laughed so much. That already tells me this episode has started out strong and is a really enjoyable one. And I was supposed to keep this short. Will I ever manage with that?

Why is Musashi saying such good lines in this episode :D And her outfit, gosh I love it.

Oh really. That’s kinda obvious thou but isn’t that a bit too closed up to be able to enjoy the pool XD

Ajhasgfjhsgfjhgjf this already killed me without subtitles because I knew she said that. But can you believe it, they actually managed to capture all of the Pokémon. They could have got away perfectly. The Pokémon remain captured for the rest of the episode, and we’re still not halfway there. But oh no. They plan on capturing the Ride Pokémon as well, and how they plan on doing it is so weird. They want to help Ride Pokémon relax so they’d be all noodles. That’s... not exactly how relaxation works. :D

And I’d like to unsee this tyvm. Such a majestic creature looking so... non-majestic. It’s got to be cotton wings...

The scene with Lilie and Tyltalis playing with moisterising mud is precious and gosh they’re so lovable.

But I honestly loved Suiren and Hakuryu’s moment somewhat more. And Musashi is great as well.

Ajsgfjshgjsfgj Musashi is so blunt with her actions, but her action here actually wasn’t harmful, but incredibly helpful. Suiren’s reaction is so her, she’s such a kind person that she’d never do something if she saw the other being afraid of it. But Mu, oh no she’ll do it if it’s good for it.

Once Suiren realises Hakuryu is fine with it thou, they start applying the mud on each other as well. I just love their partnership whole lot.

Others have great moments as well, Mamane applying Aroma Oil on Metang while Sonansu and Hidoide are doing the same (it really works like a charm on Pokémon huh?), and Flygon and Gablias being rivals to each other in a swimming race, Nyarth helping Satoshi and Mao to cheer them on. Just amazing!

Also, Kojiro being able to do muscle massage on Pokémon somehow feels very him?? I can totally imagine this being real, because he did do the massaging her so expertly? He is known to taking care of his Pokémon with extra care, I mean, I don’t remember others doing watering on their grass types? So, I believe he wasn’t totally lying, even if a bit exaggerating?

Lizardon certainly enjoyed it.

Pretty sure that just helps them out to be in more fit shape you buffoons. lol Or they’re just too good at their jobs here that they didn’t realise their plan was fooled from the beginning.

Sun & Moon has given them the best glares imo. Thou I think my fav is still from SM074?

Gosh I already knew I’d love this bit from the preview #2 and I’m not disappoint.

Somehow I love how Suiren is the one suggest this. She’s been shown to be the silent, shy person, and now that she’s enjoying herself lots, she’s more than happy to suggest a place they should try next. Sort of like me. Heh. She’s actually come quite far when I think about it. I mean, in the beginning of the series when she was asked to hold a lesson about fishing, she acted so nervous. I don’t think the Suiren from SM006 would be so eager to suggest flower bath here. She’s really grown to appreciate this group of friends, or so I see it!

Asfjhgfsjhgf Musashi I adore you. First she acts so sweet and kind and then her true personality comes aboard! Absolutely stunning!

I don’t know why, but I seriously love how this scene is drawn. Satoshi is so angry. Mao is just not impressed. But like. I adore this art style so much, I know I say this a lot but gosh. I think this is my fav angry-Satoshi face yet.

They’ve been in a cage for half the episode and never tried getting out???? This bothers me so much. Pikachu would never wait. He’s always try to get out. I guess the cage was too crowded.

Musashi’s vampire teeth are killing me.

I’m more focused on Suiren trying to get the net off and making noises lol. Others look mad, while Suiren focuses on the net. I don’t think she likes it one bit. :D

The Sludge Bomb attack not being effective because of the Aroma Oil asjkfgsjhgsjh Hidoide helped Metang out with Sonansu lol.

Says Nyarth while Sonansu is enjoying the same Aroma Oil on itself.

Gosh seeing them call out attacks from their Ride Pokémon really make it seem like the Ride Pokémon are truly theirs and not just Aether Foundations. Here’s hoping they get to have them around somehow after Ultra Guardians retire...

Next week, Necrozma Arc finally begins, and we are shown the symbol of Ultra Necrozma drawn by Bebenom, alongside showing a first clance at a Rocket Gang Unit (which has Matori wearing a Rocket Gang uniform!) that’s about to arrive to Alola, to do whatever plans they have with Necrozma. All the hints from the start of UB arc are coming together now.

All of the adults are shown to be with little energy, sleepy-headed and bedheaded (Kukui wearing a shirt and having his coat closed up is such a cursed scene, clear sign something is wrong.) We also get Gladio as the new member of Ultra Guardians, and Solgaleo and Lunala arrive with a certain black creature chasing them.

1. if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to?Mostly rock ‘n’ roll. It’s what I grew up on and it shaped me all my life. Here Comes The Sun makes me cry. So does Helium, I really love the Plain White T’s. The HorrorPops were also important to young me. Back to the House that Love Built and several Dutch songs are important to me because of family. Johnny Cash just has voice I’d die for. Reading wise, I live for fantasy, I’m not sure what you’d read to understand me. Elementary school me’s favorite book was the pocket science encyclopedia because I’m a nerd. With shows, I have no idea. I don’t really watch shows except Rupaul’s Drag Race and Dragula. But movies; both Guardians of the Galaxy movies, the second makes me cry a lot because a lot about Yondu reminds me of Opa. Even his funeral. Coco made me cry a LOT it’s very reminiscent of my family. Pap, my great grandfather, is named Hector and I have his father’s guitar from Mexico. The Lion King is also very important to me. And Hellboy, King Kong, Godzilla; all movies my dad loves. Pan’s Labyrinth was my first R rated movie and it’s important to me. I was with my dad and it got me into Guillermo del Toro.

3. list your fandoms and one character from each that you identify with.I’m not entirely active in fandoms oops. Homestuck: the amporas, they’re depicted as villains but for whatever reason they mean a lot to me. Voltron: lance, he just really resonates with me man. Coco: Miguel. He’s so much like me, we even have the same single dimple. That movie feels like my life.

6. are you religious/spiritual?I know it’s blunt but not at all. I find a lot of it fascinating but I just don’t believe in anything.

11. describe your ideal day.I’m going to strip away parts from other days. I’d actually get up early and not feel bad about it, make coffee and wait for my friends to show up, four of us in a car. These friends aren’t really defined but I have a couple in mind. We’d go hiking on a couple trails and make our way up to the ferry to Kelley’s Island, hitting a fast food joint for lunch and going to a simple diner for dinner. After getting settled, we’d go out for another hike as it gets dark and I’ll point out all the constellations on that hidden beach we went to. Libra sat right on the horizon, that’s always what I remember. Then go to the public beach, perfect for swimming. Water warm from the day, warmer than the cool air. After swimming, we’d drive back on a golf cart, feeling the wind on my bare skin and in my hair. We’d go back to where we were staying, all sit under blankets, sharing stories (and body heat, haha) and watching the fireplace until we all eventually fell asleep on each other.

12. dog person or cat person?I love my dogs but cats. There’s just something about their personalities. I love them so much.

13. inside or outdoors?Outdoors. I hate camping though. I wanna sleep inside but I love everything about hiking. No matter the time or weather. Hiking in my heaven.

15. five most influential books over your lifetime.Oof I don’t read ever because I’m a huge mess and I was never able to be emotional swayed by anything until GotG 2. The warriors series was important to me, as was redwall. I really enjoy the writing style in first they killed my father which I read in middle school. I still hang onto a kinda manga tutorial book because it got me into creating more in general. And I have the science encyclopedia still. I’ll never get rid of it.

19. which Harry Potter house would you be in? or are you a muggle?Well I always thought I was a ravenclaw which was and still if fitting but after coming out and being more secure in myself the gryffindor label has come to fit me far better.

21. do you love easily?This is a hard question for me to answer. I get fleeting crushes often, I’m afraid of so many people that any softness I take as love. But I cannot say I love you back to people without months of them proving themselves to me in a certain way. I’ve been closer to some people longer than others but the newer people have just had bigger impacts and I’m able to tell them that I love them even if they did give me shit for it months before. I don’t know how I am with romantic love. I’ve never dated and I don’t like throwing around the term love.

22. list the top five things you spend the most time doing, in order.Huh, I don’t really know how to answer this one. Because I could just be like; sleeping, eating, crying, which is true but I started to think moreso what takes me the most time to do as one action. Now I’ve decided to do a combination, and only say unique things. This won’t be in order because it’s more priority than duration. One would definitely be doing my hair, which takes at least six products if I want it to be nice. Then drawing, making colored pencil art. I found ways to color that I just love and I can create things I didn’t know I could. Next would be writing music, I put a lot of thought into it and music theory is very interesting to me. I spend a lot of time climbing. Just when I’m out messing around with my friends and I get a chance, I perch. I do it in games too, Link’s always on the top of a mountain because of this weird instinct I have. Finally, I’d have to say either math or science. It’s nerdy but love proofs and factoring and zoology and I could go on about random animals facts for hours.

29. three songs that you connect with right now.I’m not gonna be a shithead with this one ok; For Forever from Dear Evan Hansen, it makes me think of how perfect this last summer was, I made real friends and I got to be a stupid teenager going night swimming and catching bugs with my hands and getting fish hooks in my skin and just. Fav Korean Dramas

I watch a lot of K-dramas either it is on going or from 10 years ago. There are a lot of good drama to watch! But here are some of my must watch favorite dramas in no particular order  Click the title to see the plot and cast!

Dream High (2011)My first k-drama thanks to the boredom of college break, I never thought that I will love it. Starring Suzy, Kim Soo Hyun, and Taecyeon. It’s about student that want to be K-pop idols. I think it’s a simple plot twist like another high school stories that include love and betrayal.

My Love From The Star (2013)This is my most favorite drama ever still since 2014, my number 1 from this list! (fan of Jun Ji Hyun Unnie) The story is about an alien who came from the far away star that fall in love with a hilarious yet arrogant top actress. It’s really entertaining and I still can’t stop laughing watching the funny scenes but there is some sad scene too

Full House (2004)                                           I don’t have any problem to watch an old drama. I heard this drama a lot, and it was or may be still very famous. This is like one of the classic korean drama. I’m not a fan of the lead cast but they play really well (of course, who doesn’t know Song Hye Kyo and Rain). I had major butterflies when I watched this like I can’t take it anymore lol, so this is a must watch drama.

Missing You (2013)                                                                                       It’s the one about you and your childhood sweetheart get kidnapped and separated until you are adult. Then you meet them accidentally and the love sparks again. It has mystery, a bit thrill, and kinda sad. It’s so good to watch!!

Princess Hours (2006)

This is literally a drama about one pitiful man because he is just too nice and generous that he sacrificed everything that he has, but at the end he knows how to take revenge. Major love with Song Joong Ki (before he is overrated in 2016 for his soldier role).

When there are two moon and two sun, you have to fight to be the one. I personally love historical stories, some might find it will be boring but it is not. Surely every historical story has it own political issue to bring the King downs!

An ordinary girl, suddenly have an arrange marriage with the prince of South Korea. They never knew each other so they don’t like each other. Poor the girl always alone and stuff. But, as typical drama they slowly developed feelings for each other. This is the one of the classic korean dramas too!

9. Liar Game (2014)

It’s a mystery and thriller drama, one of the best :). As it says on the title it’s about liar game. This drama literally will make you use your brain harder and if you are slow you have to pause and back a bit to understand what they mean (Everybody that I know did that and me too lol). There’s always a new refreshing idea and will not bore you in every episode. No spoiler

10. My Princess (2011)

It’s a light and funny rom-com drama that will make every girl loves it. Korea is now back with the royal family system, but the princess to be ruling is not prepared for it and immature. It is somehow like Anne Hathaway’s Princess Diaries.

11. Jang Ok Jung, Living by Love (2013)

This is Jang Ok Jung, the famous royal concubine in Joseon era. It’s not entirely based on the historical fact, not sure if she is the truly antagonist person in real life. If you want to know more you can watch Dong Yi too. This movie is so sad yet so good

12. Bride of the Century (2014)

Kinda forgot the story, but it is about two girls who has identical face (forgot if they are twins or not) of course there is the good and bad one, also the rich and the poor one.  I love this drama because it has a little twist of fantasy, mystery, and romance. Enjoyed this drama a lot!

13. Surplus Princess (2014)

Okay, I always watch on going drama which I think interesting. This drama is really funny, entertaining and stupid from the beginning. It’s unbelievable, although a lot of people may don’t like this drama because it’s weird. The story is about a mermaid looking for love in human world just like Ariel!  Note: Heard this drama cut off because not enough budget 😦 I wish there is season 2!

14. It’s Okay, That’s Love (2014)

I supposed this is the first drama that come up with the personality   problem, and then this genre just booming in that time. I love this, because it’s different and fresh topic. I watched the other drama too and this is my must watch drama from this genre! Many people suffered from personality disorder either it’s seen or unseen from the outside, makes me realized to be more sensitive to people whom matters to us, because we might don’t know what they are battling!

15. She Was Pretty (2015)

This is a comedy drama that makes you literally can’t stop laughing. OMG I still remembered I still laughed untill episode 8. It’s like Betty La Fea (Spoiler much?)

16. Wild Chives and Soy Bean(2014)

Started from lovers in high school, the girl got pregnant and they get separated and accidentally met again in their adulthood. It’s not a famous drama, it’s a simple one but I love it!

17. W (2016)

Right now, while I’m writing this, this is the must watch drama from the others although it’s only 4 episode and I just can’t wait for next week. The story is about a webtoon called W, the main character is alive in their own world and fall in love with the daughter’s webtoon creator because she time travels to the webtoon world. You have to watch this, I got chilled from the two episode. It’s a brilliant story of 2016 compared to the Descendants of the Sun
