Btw only today I remembered the time a Baki character crawled thru and out a man's asshole.and his only explanation was I could do that because I'm very small (he's 160cm).
#luly talks#he's an incredible characters actually brace yourselves time to speak of one of.my fave baldies#but he's great. he is a system and for a manga that came out in the 90s it is handled rather fucking well#bc the guy who did that gaia isn't like. evil. in the fucking slightlest.#he's just a mercenary! he's a fighter and a soldier!! but hes a fair and nice man.#nomura the other one is ALSO a soldier but its very cute bc he's just a medic#and like. the way everyone is so fucking nice about this?#like his comrades are tots ok w that like they're scared of gaia bc WELL I MEAN. THEY KNOW WHAT HE CAN DO#but its ok bc he's a baki character of course you'd fear him KQGAJSHWNDG#anyway gaia is also a big time faggot HQYWHDHEHVD but again unsurprising he's a baki character#but he loooves fangirling over older stronger men its very cute he LOVES his master#and made him lose the pants. its epic. love motobe cock#another thing about gaia is the fact that he severely traumatized a man. literally insane shit he did to him#do i feel bad? yes. should i feel bad? no. because that man kicked igari's ass so hard he left the manga permanently#igari being My Beloved Wrestler with a Canoe Shaped Face based on that one japanese wrestler w the huge chin#antonio inoki i think?#anyway. that man he traumatized? he's doing yaoi with him now.#straight up yaoi. they're living together and they act like a fucking married couple#i have yet to read it but it's insane#also gaia is also friends with this very tall dude very tall as in 210cm i think? hes up to 240+ now he keeps expanding his bones#anyway and the guy he tortured was first being tortured by this giant who upon seeing him scream at the top of his lungs was like#lol that's hot you're so my type#well not verbatim but he did say something along those lines jack hanma LOVES russian guys its crazy#anyway after that he was like hot but im not gonna kill you and then gaia comes in and i remember someone mentioning in the comments of the#place i read the manga from how insane their heighr difference was and saying that Gaia could suck his cock while standing#which is absolutely fucking true. but i can't get over it.#anyway that was my infodumping of the day#as you might've noticed gaia is way more relevant that Nomura but that doesn't say a lot#bc gaia shows up w nomura in one arc at the very start of the book then appears again as gaia to traumatize this man#I HIT TAG LIMIT FUCK anyway he shows up in 2 major arcs only super little idk about the spinoff i have yet to read but he's a bit irrelevant

I love how you write and it makes me so glad you are here.
can I ask what inspired you to start?
signed - a maybe inspired future fic writer
This is such a wonderful ask! 🥰
I'm glad you enjoy my writing. I have ideas and I write them is my short answer and explains nothing I realize.
The long answer:
I've written fanfic before, off and on for maybe the last 10-15 years. Very different fandoms. Started out with anime, dabbled a bit in Yaoi then transitioned to Marvel and now I'm firmly planted in the Pedro Pascal, Oscar Issac, Benny Miller triangle of hotness.
Fanfic for me is an expression of a story, show, movie, video game or pice of media that I enjoyed so much, I just had to make something. I can't draw, no mixing of hot tracks or beats, I've just started dabbling in photo editing this year and am a beginner at that. It's all purely fun for me. I enjoy it and it's fun to share with other people who create and are like, "Hey! You like that? I like it too. Let me see yours and I'll show you mine. Where'd you get the idea for that?" And then hilarious conversations leap from there.
What inspired me to start specifically in the Pedro Pascal fanfic world was The Mandalorian. It was the first time I realized, "that's the man I've seen before!" And then realized I've seen Pedro Pascal in many of my favorite shows, (The Mentalist was watched for the sake of completion. After season 6 and the first episode of season 7, there wasn't a real reason to continue other than spending time with my mom. She's fine, when I tell people that they think she's passed on but the woman is still lifting 50 lbs mulch bags in her mid seventies. She more than fine.) I then became fixated on this man, reset the password on my AO3 account and found Pedro Pascal character fanfics. I was then led back to Tumblr which before I was on years ago for anime and read fics by @secretelephanttattoo ( I shall always sing about Headshots. It inspired the first fic I posted on Tumblr and is just so damn cute. El is also just a sweetheart.) and @morallyinept whose Tendrils fic only deepened my brain rot for that tall beskar bucket, she's also a dear friend who's made me laugh, cry in a good way, inspired me and very time I turn around she's crafting something new. Fics, banners, self-care, doodles, smut, databases, and all sorts of Pedro interviews and dialogue. Because I'm a fangirl of them both and many others actually, I keep 👀 on them.
What keeps me going is the fandom overall and that despite, recent tribulations let's say politely, we're all still here. Geeking out over a goofy, handsome, I know he gives the best hugs, actor who loves what he does and has been working at it for years and it's finally paying off.
I've met wonderful friends and moots who reach out, give me encouragement, tell me I do well (I'm starting to listen to them I swear. I'm not good at taking compliments in person so it's even worse online FYI.
So I hope this answers your ask and I do encourage you to write that weird, funny, smutty, cute, sweet, dark, twisty, angsty fic that you want to write. I do hope whoever you are, you tag me in it so I can read it. 🤭
Special love to the following and if I left anyone off, I'm sorry. It's after work, I rubbed my eyes, wipes my glasses because I got them wet while writing this and it was a lot:

My experiences with DreamWidth fandom spaces are the same as my experiences with DreamWidth RP: a lot of people talk about wanting more people to post, missing the old days, and disliking fandom puritanism, but don't interact with others much and, when someone disagrees with them, decide that this is the end of the world. I've seen people in DWRP angry at other people for disagreements from up to 12 years ago. I've seen people in DW fandom spaces vaguepost about specific people they're mad at for disagreeing with them from up to 8 years ago. Neither reaction makes me go, "Ah, yes, this is where I want to hang out", because I just don't fucking care. When someone confronts me about traumatizing them because I said I didn't find X character as engaging as Y or I think it's possible Character A is bi and not gay/lesbian default and it's been 5 years, my first thought is almost always, "I'm sorry, who?" and not, "OMG I feel so bad let me apologize for this!" Not apologizing doesn't go over well, so it's off to gossip to their friends in DMs and on other sites about how someone else totally said this, that and the other thing too and it was super mean.
IDK, maybe I'm just old (I did just turn 30) but I look at this kind of drama and all I can think is, "I don't care and I don't have the energy to engage with this." It doesn't help that I meet people on DW who are self-identified fandom olds (usually that means they're 40-ish) who complain about yaoi fangirls/"fujoshits" and call female characters who've had multiple sexual partners "cockhops" and assume anyone writing f/f is a "neckbeard". This is still less sensitive than antis are, but there's still a lot of moralizing things you don't like and reading into what someone writes in order to judge them as a person.
Between that and the very low level of overall engagement it kind of feels not worth it? I'm not seeing what the benefit is. Making fandom friends is fairly difficult on DW and when you do, losing them is as easy as not having seen something, not liking a pairing or not caring about something (contentious canons, especially). I'm sure someone's having a great time but to me it's sort of like shouting into the void, except sometimes the void calls you a fujoshit neckbeard and never elaborates on how that'd work.
--
DW's moment as a potential community hub has come and gone, in my opinion. Now, it's just the people who can't hack it on other platforms plus some legacy uses that DW is good for that other sites aren't.
I did make more of an effort to make fetch happen in the past, but it became apparent that a lot of the people who are primarily on DW are not people I want to make that effort for. I've got a couple of old friends still hanging out there because they like very text-based internet stuff, and good for them, but overall... yeah... the vibe just isn't that great a lot of the time.
I used to advocate getting a DW just to have a place to link your other social media in case your tumblr is suddenly deleted due to mysterious tumblr enforcement shenanigans... but honestly, I could probably use my AO3 profile for that just as well.
I'm glad DW is still around, and I hope it continues to be. I don't regret my seed account. But it's just not something I use actively in the 2020s.

What your favorite Sailor Moon Character says about you:
Sailor Moon: You are a slut for romantic tropes and quick to cry and that's okay.... But you might wanna work on your savior complex, honey Tuxedo Mask: You just want a trophy husband, and you know what? Good for you! Sailor Mercury: You're the "mom friend" and are a great listener, but you struggle opening up and have a tendency to suppress your more "uncomfortable" feelings in order to make sure everyone around you is happy and secure Sailor Mars: You have a humiliation kink and aspire to either date a woman or BE a woman who looks hot AF and graceful in heels. You also probably have very strong feelings about her personality change from manga to anime Sailor Jupiter: You like a woman who can break you in half, but also bake you delicious cookies. Also, she's probably your gay or bi awakening Sailor Venus: You weren't popular in school, but you aspired to be, and are a firm believer in the mantra "fake it till you make it" Sailor Pluto: You have a martyr complex and untreated depression. Asking for help is NOT a weakness! Sailor Uranus: You're into butches Sailor Neptune: You're into femmes Sailor Uranus & Sailor Neptune: You're either queer, or you have an uncomfortable definition of the term "cousin" Sailor Saturn: You shop at Hot Topic and listen to emo music, but are also trying to work on your mental health, good job! Chibiusa: You probably have Daddy Issues or Mommy Issues. Or both. Helios: You had a crush on Legolas and are weak for Pretty Boys in general. Also, you may or may not be a closet furry or a fan of My Little Pony Four Kings of Heaven: You're either a gay man or a yaoi fangirl Queen Beryl: You just really wanna be stepped on, huh? Prince Dimande: You can pinpoint the exact moment when you hit puberty and realized you liked Bad Boys Amazoness Quartet: You're stylish, queer, and just want to watch the world burn Galaxia: You have a God Complex and might want to seek therapy. Or you just want a Dom girlfriend Seiya: You're a slut for Unrequited Love in media and ship all of the doomed ships Luna: You constantly wonder how everyone can be so incredibly stupid Artemis: Simp. You're just a simp. Naru: You're the sensitive friend who needs to be handled with kid gloves, but everyone loves you and thinks you're a precious bean Umino: You were definitely the annoying nerd in school and have a soft spot for underdogs
(Feel free to add more! This is all in good fun! ❤ Shout-out to @risingfire17-the-weeb-trash for helping me with this list.)

People often write off all soukoku ship content as Bones' doing fanservice and pandering to yaoi fangirls and a huge part of this misconception does stem from new shippers and anime onlys shoving the official art in other people's faces as evidence.
The fact still remains that soukoku has a lot of key moments that never even made its way into the Bones content. One official art and the one off case of putting Chuuya on screen does not make this the heavily pushed yaoi fangirl ship. Especially since a lot of people who ship it are in fact queer themselves. On screen skk have barely had any genuine moments. Dead apple and their first meeting in 4 years are the only time you can say they had a shippy moment and the first meeting in the manga is more charged given that there is a warmth there that's missing in the anime. And the script for dead apple had to be approved by Asagiri, which he did have a part in.
Besides Asagiri had absolutely no reason to put Dazai being breathless over Chuuya into the novel, nor did he have any need to have him catch him in his arms or nearly fuck over Yokohama for the guy. A lot of people insisting on the Studio Bones' shallow fanservice excuse falls apart because these people refuse to acknowledge that skk are canonically important to each other. Cue the claims that skk beating Fyodor is "ship fanservice" when the two didnt even do anything shippy whatsoever.
I recently had a conversation with someone who was insisting that stormbringer, fifteen etc are AU's that have nothing to do with the manga and therefore canon skk were never friends. And I have never felt my brain cells tremble with fear but they did.

Propaganda Under Cut
Han Sooyoung
han sooyoung is one of the main trio protagonists yet people constantly ignore her in order to ship the other two males despite the fact that they are all doomed by the narrative TOGETHER!!! fanon content is even worse because it either slaps a lesbian sticker onto her to shittily write her off in fanfic OR they make her so one dimensional its like a cardboard stand in. han sooyoung arguably has a more important/interesting dynamic with the main male protagonist yet everyone ignores her because they want their uwu gay babies IM SO SICK OF ORV FANS
Dokja and Joonghyuk are a very popular ship (rightfully so, i get it) but usually Sooyoung is seen as in the way of their relationship or not as valued as the other two even though her place in the story and relationship with the other characters is just as strong. Recently there was a post on twitter being rude about people who ship her and Joonghyuk (which is a super valid ship) and i saw a lot of hate that i believe just stems from her getting “in the way” of a yaoi ship.
99% of that kind of symbolic fanart REFUSES. to acknowledge her existence man. even though she is part of the main TRIO man
Shinoa Hiiragi
The fandom hated her for getting in the way of Mika/Yuu (she had a crush on yuu). The rare times they didn’t hate her they made her into a fujoshi obsessed with shipping them which isn’t in character at all. In fact if you look at the owari no seraph specials she would ship yuu with kimizuki but no one even cares
One of my favorite characters ever forever and treated heinously by crazed fujoshis that hallucinated she was getting in the way of MikaYuu, which for the record she wasn’t! I mean even if she WAS getting between them it wouldn’t justify the crazy misogyny that got thrown at her but she had a ONE-SIDED CRUSH on Yuu. He didn’t even like her back. What was the issue, then? An unrequited crush is not going to prevent a relationship! Whatever I haven’t even told you about her. She’s Silly. She’s incredibly cunning and a great leader, in fact she is the leader of the anime’s main squad. She’s calculating. She’s a gossip and a prankster and a bit flirty and a bit mean-spirited and she presents herself in a Silly Goofy way, in part to cover up the amounts of angst in her backstory, like my girl has ISSUES. She even has an epic demon weapon that is better and cooler than most other demon weapons but if you ask any fangirl from way-back-when, she’s just a bitch and the personification of evil. and probably homophobic too, even though she has a girl rival-turned-friend which is the gayest trope out there.
She seems to be the (male) protagonist's love interest and appears to be canonically in love with him, but he is not interested in her whatsoever, often brushing her off and dismissing her in favor of thinking about his found family instead. I don't necessarily ship him romantically with any other male character (i hc him as aroace) but by god the anime was extremely charged with homoromantic subtext in every corner. One of those "holding each other's faces in the opening, spends the entire first season pining and wishing to be reunited" types. The fandom ships her love interest with another male character to the extent that I started watching the show in the first place because i kept seeing ship posts of the main character with that other guy thought they were cute. And also i cannot fucking stand her personality and want to light her on fire. I think the rest of the fandom agrees with me but I'm honestly not sure. I'm also a gay man so i think you could argue that I, the submitter, could play the role of the "yaoi" terrorising her as well

🐰 . . 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞 ⋆ hoshiki did two in one! Although hoshiki finds no need for specific genders in this scenario, he likes the idea of a male reader so he's keeping it! Besides hoshiki would need to make a gender neutral version of this anyways (BTW hoshiki is bad at pickup lines)

𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍 𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃...
Always be flustered. It's either you're flustered or he's flustered, no in between. Although he's most likely the one to get blushy blushy with a man like you. He's already learned how to not vomit whenever you're around him but gosh you make it so hard. The fact that you're willing to flirt with him on purpose?!
He didn't exactly know how to feel when he puked on you the first time you've flirt with him. Like he was kinda there standing and staring at you in dead silence but he did hope you'd continue...
At the same time he doesn't feel exactly comfortable when you flirt with him in public, since you're both men there would be alot of yaoi fangirls and homophobia following you around every time. But I mean like, he DID say being gay was cool and there was nothing wrong with it, his dog was gay so both of you really can't do anything about it. He'd feel more at ease when it's infront of his friends since they'd accept him but he knows damm well they're gonna tease him and a certain fatass who would bully the shit out of him .
While you're the one that mostly flirts you'd still get flustered by Stan and 90% of the time it was a pure accident. He would accidentally flirt with you and he won't notice it till he sees your check burning up, then he'll try to play it off and act all slick like he meant it when you both know it wasn't. he'd even test his pick up lines on you even tho you're the only one for him and it'll starlight up backfire😭
"what was your name again?"
"what? Have you forgotten that it's 'yours'?"
"O-oh"

It's in my own opinion, guys!!
If you'd like to know why I feel that way to those shipped characters, check below 👇
Tumblr media
You can use the second picture to do the same as I did but in your perspective.
Tumblr media
It's up to you guys if you like what I ship!
Hate:
• ShinKagu
I think the relationship between them is pure family love, NOT ROMANTIC LOVE. I just hate it when they ship characters that somehow just see each other like siblings.
• GinKagu
IT'S PATERNAL LOVE NOT ROMANTIC! As I said at ShinKagu, they just love and respect each other Father&Daughter/Brother& little sister style. And if you know their age (27 and 14), they have a freaking 13 age gap. I just hate this ship.
• OkiNobu
So the main reason for me hating this ship is because I ship okikagu, actually that's also the 30% reason why I don't ship ShinKagu and GinKagu. Well I do know they might have a little chemistry but thinking that made me sick! I'm loyal to OkiKagu, mind you. I actually kinda feel jealous at OkiNobu at Baragaki Arc (thorny arc) when Sougo smiles while he is fighting Nobume, what calms me down was thinking how Okita smiles just fighting Kagura or the moments they have. I have more to explain but I kinda feel lazy to sort it out all.
Dislike:
• GinSachi
I really hate thissss!!! Well the reason is, I HATE SACCHAN'S ATTITUDE TOWARDS GIN! like she is a real perv! I hate her masochist side! I just hate it. I don't completely hate her but this ship sank for me, even Gintoki hates her.
• KamuKagu
I don't get why people ship them romantically, they're freaking siblings, like blood-related siblings so far! But I'd like them to interact more as siblings ready to protect the other.
• HijiKagu
Well, reading fanfictions I can't help but think why they ship the two. Maybe because I'm OkiKagu again, but for me Mitsuba and Hijikata are fitted to be canon! Why did Mitsuba even die! I'd like to see her interact with other characters too! Like HijiMitsu is in my top five!
Don't mind:
• HijiGin
I don't really get why they ship the two, they were just rivals but Okita and Kagura were the same so, I pretty much don't mind them. I'm also not a Yaoi fangirl so maybe that's the other reason, I can't just picture them. But many fans ship them so okay, I already accepted that Okikagu was not the most popular ship and it was HijiGin, but not that I care. I have my own opinions right!
• KyuuTae
I'm not a Yuri fan either. They're better off friends than nothing.
• HijiTae
Some ship Otae with Hijikata and so I don't mind it. They could work but Mitsuba is the one and only (for me) to be shipped with Hijikata.
• TakaMata
Matako is doing her best, I don't mind this ship because... I don't really know. We can all see that Matako is truly in love with Takasugi, and I think you did great Matako-san!
• GinTama
I was really planning on giving them the dislike category but I realised and also remembered the time where they both went to relax on Tama's day off and also on the silver soul arc, so i kinda understand why you shipped the two!
Like:
• KamuNobu
I actually ship Kamui and Soyo more than Nobume, but I also ship the two, okay! Well they don't interact much or maybe they didn't even interact yet but I think they could work it out. Also I read a lot of OkiKagu fanfics and sometimes they were shipped to each other and the way the authors did it made me ship them so thank you Authors!
• GinTae
The most previous fanfiction I've read has hints of GinTae and they do work out well I must say. Well they have nine years of age gap but for me Otae didn't look, feel or act as an eighteen year old woman, maybe because her father died when she was just a child.
• YamaTama
Zaki deserved to be loved! Thank you! Well
They do work well together, especially Yamazaki who is now a robot just like tama!
Love:
• KonTae
I ship Otae to Gori the most! I can see Gori's hard work for Otae and I think even if Otae already married someone else, Gori would still live and stalk her. Him being attacked by Otae was sometimes the funny part of the show so I love this ship! I. The Farewell Shinsengumi Arc, I feel like Otae's into Kondou all of the sudden, she even tried to defend and trust Gori from Nobu Nobu. I even think Otae was disappointed and sad Gori was gone and is not stalking her like usual. When the Shinsengumi was leaving, Tae-san was bidding her goodbye to Gori peacefully and was hoping to see her again.
• SakaMutsu
I just shipped them cause I feel like they were meant and fitted to each other even if Mutsu is always annoyed at him. If he hates him and her busy work, she should've quit already.
• ZenSachi
Just feel like this ship would work much better than GinSachi!
• KatsuEli
It was meant to be at BROTP but I was not in the mood to edit (lazy mode:ON). I liked the strong bond between them, and how both sides were eager to protect the others! (Proof: Farewell Shinsengumi Arc and Episode 44)
• GinTsu
My top two shipped characters in Gintama! I just love the interaction between them and based on the fanfiction I've read, they work well and deserve to be canon!
BROTP:
• GinHase
Admit it, you also like their friendship. When they're together, it's funny!
• GinZura
• GinSaka
• Shige shigexKatsura
• KatsuKagu
I like the Leader and Zura duo. Both are childish and slow!
• TsuSachi
• TakaBansai
• OkiKamu
I'd like them to be close friends or friends. Nothing just like it.
• HijiOki
They do work well when needed, Okita is just jealous of Hijikata for getting all the attention but he still respects him.
OT3:
• Yorozuya
I like how strong the bond they have, that's all
• Joui 3
Pretty lazy to type so, just saying they were good!
OTP:
• Okikagu
I have already explained why, just gonna put the link of my post and check it out if you want! There's more to it but I'm quite lazy.

i know this is super late but if you're still open to asks for the fandom ask meme, 13 and 23?
Tumblr media
Hmmm it's hard to say since I'm always focusing on grovyle/dusknoir/celebi stuff and I've already drawn Guildshipping as well. Actually, it's probably Darkrai/Cresselia. I always like the couple as a kid bc of their dynamic in the games and anime, about them not being evil/good, but counterparts that protect and need each other.
Inside the pmd universe, Darkrai is barely a character at all, I think he's the weakest narrative point in the entire game, and a good contender for most boring antagonist of the franchise (if only for how much of a downgrade he is compared to the rest of the Explorers games' plot), but there is a scene in Explorers of Spirit that shows a deeper bond between Darkrai and Cresselia, and a sort of betrayal between them, that catches my attention. Since there's nothing on the main game that contradicts that headcanon, I just run with it and adopt it for myself, we do love some friends to enemies dynamic here.
Basically, they could be so toxic yuri to me and i really hope i get to clean some sketches i did about them some time lol.
Also maybe revisit those Grovyle/Dusknoir/Darkrai toxic yaoi ideas bc they were really fun to work with lmao. Maybe even simply inserting darkrai into the future polycule and having them all want to kill him rfqegvqerq
And in case youre curious about the Fionna and Cake fandom, i have an entire comic about Astrid and Scarab I wish i had the energy to clean lmao. So it'd be Astrid, she's a cute little annoying fangirl
Tumblr media
My favourite character changes every day because I can never decide on whether I prefer Grovyle or Dusknoir lmao. They're both too good. But on the shipping side of things...
Funnily enough, I guess I went from being strictly a Dusknoir/Grovyle fan after se5 to becoming a fan of the polycule after some reflection. I didn't want to get frustrated by how much attention Grovyle/Celebi had despite Celebi's short time on-screen (and at first frustrating "tee hee im a girl,, im pink and have a crush on boy pokemon uwu" characterization) and become one of good ol' toxic 13 yo fujoshis who hated female characters for "being an obstacle" to the yaoi ship. So I tried to focus more on Celebi and I ended up liking her quite a lot once I tried to read more between lines and drew her more times! Especially since you can basically make her have any dynamic you want with Dusknoir. She can be very fun to write and draw! I just wish the writing in the game had given her more... well, writing.
And in the Adventure Time fandom ig i stopped liking Prismo/Scarab a lot after a while and just preferred Kheirosiphon/Scarab but i basically shipped Scarab wwith anyone so there''s not much difference xd

So I've gotten into visual novels a bit more recently, do you have any recommendations? I've been a gamer all my life but vns are kind of a blind spot for me. Maybe some of the more popular ones on the DS and a handful of PC ones are about all I know.
Most of the ones I've played are adult ones (i.e. have sex scenes in them), but I can give some recs if that's not an issue.
All Ages:
-Jack Jeanne for the Switch is a really solid one and for something that includes hiding the protag's gender (she's in an all-boys school for theater), it doesn't fall into weird/horny tropes about it? Like no "oh no someone walked into me changing oh me oh my" nonsense, for example. Plus there's some characters that read very trans/gender non-conforming and I am living for it.
It's very slice-of-life, very pretty, and if you like/can work with stat-building dating sims and the rhythm game sections, I'd recommend it!
Guys Who Like Ladies (not all-ages):
--Princess Waltz is like my favorite VN of all time, it's so fucking good. It's about this (seemingly) normal dude who ends up entangled in this other magical world's tournament to pick a bride for the prince of a country in said other world, and boy howdy for something that is aimed at straight male audiences it is REALLY GAY (affectionate/positive).
The main "girl"? The prince. Who reallyreally comes off as a trans dude. It is awesome.
There's all sorts of cool fights, girls in cool/cute outfits, the "token loli" acts her actual age and is probably one of the most mature of the lot (god i love Suzushiro), it has Lun-Lun, the second best proper girl, yaoi fangirls, and a cute lil' dragon man.
I will provide a quick warning tho': it contains (accidental, they had NO IDEA beforehand) incest, potential adoptive sibling banging, and depending on how you see Chris, potentially misgendering. :c
If you can get past that, tho', it's fantastic and has a bangin' soundtrack.
--9-nine is a urban fantasy-ish multiverse-spanning mystery series in 5 parts: 4 for each girl and one extra epilogue game that wraps up the loose ends nicely. It also contains cool action scenes, has a great cast of characters, and even makes a Wild Arms 2 reference, which cements it in my heart forever.
Each game is a route, and while you could skip one and still get the story (and you might want to, one of the games focuses on the protag's main full-blooded sister who, uh, yeah, they eventually bang), but each part connects to the next and gives you more information to piece together, and it all comes together wonderfully. ;A;
Also, the male lead has a face, is voiced, and has a personality, which is a rare triple-crown in the VN world when it comes to het-focus stuff.
9-nine also has an "all-ages" cut, which can be found on Steam, if that makes a difference.
QUEER SHIT FUCK YEAH:
--Ne no Kami is a yuri VN which is in two parts (with a loosely-connected "prequel" that is plot-light called Sacrament of the Zodiac and has a successor plot-heavy series that has one part out called Watamari, all of which are yuri stores) and IT. IS. SO. FUCKING. GOOD. It and Princess Waltz battle for my heart for the number 1 spot.
The protag is a "normal" girl named Len, who gets drawn into this secret war against the ayakashi thanks to a mix of her childhood friend coming back into her life and her parents up and disappearing on her, and it gets... the actual images are never graphic in the violence sense, but it gets a bit brutal in the fight scenes. Which fucking rule.
It's a good balance of slice of life and battles (and girls kissing other girls of course) and the music fucking rules.
There is also an "all-ages" cut on Steam.
--No,Thank You!! is a BL VN, and it is also really good, but really fucking heavy and I have to give several caveats before recommending it. There is references to (and at least one on-screen instance of) rape, references to in-universe snuff films, non-consensual body modification to the point of body horror, drugs, and child trafficking, tho' everything mentioned past the rape is never shown on-screen.
If your can get past all that, you're in for a wild fucking ride. Haru is the (openly bi!!!!!) protagonist, who seemingly got amnesia in an accident saving this middle-aged man, and so the middle aged man, who is the protag of his own story that's interwoven in the background as he searches for his missing son and dips his toes into some Serious Shit(tm) as a result, sees to it that Haru has shelter and a job until he recovers.
Also, yakuza and a secret underground society that does Seriously Fucked-Up Shit(tm) are all interwoven into the plot, especially the latter.
Also Hiroyuki is best boy I make the rules.
--------
Anyway, that should be a pretty good starter kit. I'd also throw in Yume Miru Kusuri, which is a more grounded in realism story, but also it's really meta and not a good starter VN (... although it was MY starter VN, please give me a route for the canon gay dude in a fan disc I am begging you). It also. Um. Deals with heavy subjects (bullying, drug use...). So maybe see how you feel about these before that.

Loona x Tex (and/or Queen Bee) for the bingo?
Tumblr media
This is a shock to you all, but honestly I kind of like the idea of them being a poly ship.
Mainly, because in a way Isee potential with these 3 together.
Now I know Bee and Loona had a thought start but honestly, I really want to see Bee to be more reoccurring than a celebrity guest star. I think just like Tex, she could bring the best out of Loona and help her gain more confidence within herself.
Tex was pretty much like this with Loona being very patient with her and understanding, but also can see she’s been struggling with personal issues. And honestly, Bee was very nice to her and genuinely seemed interested to get to know her better. (Literally it seemed like she was flirting with her and my sapphic as was all 💖💖💖)
I know some people love Tex with Loona or Tex and Bee, but to me, why not they just be happy with another
I’m sure Bee and Loona would have a similar dynamic like Enid and Wednesday (another favorite sapphic ship I love) since it falls under the girly extroverted party girl with the introverted alternative chick. Plus I can imagine possible scenarios maybe they come to understanding and talk about Vortex.
And seeing Vortex really getting along or possibly having an interest in another, he would he happy and supportive for the both of them.
Too bad Viv is too much of a braindead yaoi fangirl who focuses on her fushoji fantasies than actually gives us nice sapphic and possible poly representation. (Plus her problematic habit of always putting women against each other… like c’mon that’s so 2000s quit that internalized misogyny bullshit in your writing )
That’s why I’m my AU, I’m gonna put Loona together with these two :) I legit think this can help flesh Loona out more as a character by having these two along with Octavia. She needs friends, she really needs to learn not to be cold to others and putting her with people who bring the best of her just makes it wholsome. 💖💖💖

Ah yes, the thing that got me almost kicked out, costs hundreds of dollars to treat, is the point of most of my misery is a “blessing” because people who co-opt the label for political reasons say so. Hm
"people who co-opt the label for political reasons" do you mean other trans people? because let me tell you, if something is that agonizing, if something is that painful and miserable - nobody is going to be faking that for woke points. never go into life assuming someone isn't genuine. that's your first problem. innocent until proven guilty, remember?
being trans is a blessing. it's a gift. you get to shape your own life from the ground up with your own two hands. it's the ultimate act of self-creation and self-love. it's hard. it can be miserable, brutally so. but you need to learn to take the GOOD with the bad. and there is a lot of good. dysphoria is awful, but with it comes euphoria. trying to pass is hard, but with it also comes the pure queer joy of not having to worry about whether you're man enough, be it with your trans friends, in trans spaces, or opening your heart to those around you.
you should never, ever have to worry if you're enough.
i used to be like you. i hated being trans. i resented it. everyone told me that i was a traitor to womanhood, that i was a freak and a degenerate and a delusional yaoi-obsessed fangirl. but they didn't understand me, and they don't understand you. and they don't have to understand us. you need to learn that, and quickly, because the path you're on right now? THAT will kill you.
nothing is ever black and white. and i know, i know it's so so tempting to think in extremes. to think that there's only one way to do it correctly- one goal to strive for, one little thing that you can grab and keep and clutch on to that will make everything go away. your dysphoria will be gone, everyone will know you're a man- a REAL man, not one of those.
but it's a fantasy. it's escapism, an unhealthy kind. the kind that hurts others. if someone hates you, hates trans people- there's nothing you can do to be a good enough queer in their eyes. don't do the work for them.
i know it's hard. the world is awful, especially lately. but you can't let your anger and frustration and misery be directed at people who are like you. your siblings. your brothers. it's not their fault, and they're struggling just like we are. we are more alike than we are different, and we're all suffering under the current system, TOGETHER.
let this radicalize you. i love you.

The most insidious thing about intracommunity transphobia is how much it still relies on stereotypes of someone's AGAB - trans women and fems and other presumed-AMABs are scary, creepy, burgeoning, sex-obsessed perverts; trans men and mascs and other presumed-AFABs are frivolous, selfish, shallow airheads who just want attention and can't handle REAL problems and/or gross ugly creepy girlfailures who are lashing out and preying on other people because it's the only way to get control over their lives -
And very few people are willing to acknowledge this, because they will SAY "trans women are women, trans men are men, trans people are who they say they are" until they're blue in the face - or rather, until they come up with justifications for these stereotypes that fit into that framework.
It's not subtle misgendering and deep-seated queerphobia to immediately believe the worst of any trans girl who happens to like My Little Pony and Sailor Moon and exists in the general vicinity of teenagers; no, it's TOTALLY a one-off, pay no mind to the fact that the person in question has uncritically believed every single one of these claims that's crossed their social media feed. If anything, it's fighting the idea that women are all weak, powerless, delicate flowers who can never actually hurt anyone! Right?
It's not subtle misgendering and deep-seated queerphobia to write trans men and mascs' issues off as a lesser, "diet" transphobia that's never done anything worse than making people sad on the internet, that's not a persistent stereotype of women from both outside of AND within the queer community; it's just a means of trying to get men to stop talking over women, nor is it transphobia try to talk trans men and mascs out of transitioning because "testosterone is poison" - nor does that idea rebound back around to hurt pre- or non-HRT transfems for that matter - it's TOTALLY true that T will cause roid rage but ONLY in trans men and mascs for, uh, some reason. Absolutely none of this "sit down and shut up and let people insist you're just confused or be written off as a screeching predatory harpy who's an inherent danger to women and children" is a recycled lesbophobic stereotype, how dare the person calling out this behavior misgender trans men by implying as much!?
But of course, pointing this out is just "trying to have it both ways", trying to claim the authority presumed of a man AND the fragility presumed of a woman, right?
Just. Fuck. On the one hand, I need to reiterate, as I always do, that queer people are NOT the primary source of queerphobia - these root ideas aren't born within the queer community, and in fact despite the loud minority, ARE less common here than within cishet society, however much it may sometimes feel otherwise because we're basically each other's captive audience.
On the other hand, we have to look at what's happening here. When this happens as an intracommunity thing, it REALLY fucking sucks because 1) someone who will double down into infinity on any of these ideas does, indeed, have basically a captive audience that they're free to abuse, and 2) it's all predicated on the idea that the MOMENT you come out as queer, you're totally incapable of holding queerphobic ideas, or at the very least you can't REALLY HURT people with them. "What, you're really accusing me, a flaming faggot/a whole lesbian/an actual trans person, of being queerphobic?" says the guy who insists on sticking to the narrative that most gay trans men are obnoxious screeching yaoi fangirl chasers who just want to trick him into straight sex disguised with one degree of abstraction; or the girl who's constantly trying to get her trans girlfriend to quiet down and stop asserting herself, flinching in terror the moment she shows the slightest negative emotion, despite never having acted this way with her cis exes; or the person who immediately pivoted from seeing their nonbinary friend as totally fitting into their "women and nonbinary people" community to seeing them as a creepy predator trying to invade the space the moment they found out they had a deep voice and facial hair. While these are NOT things that all queer people do, they ARE things that most if not all queer people will be on the receiving end of at some point or another if they spend enough time in the community, and that's a problem! Especially since people who have a queer-positive- and feminist-sounding justification, and especially who think of themselves as incapable of doing this kind of harm, are sometimes even capable of justifying saying and doing shit that, coming from anyone else, would be blatantly obvious as a hate crime.
And once again, in conclusion, I must repeat, this is not an identity-linked issue, because guess what - assuming it is is part of the problem!

hi, i run a blog dedicated to calling out MizumiKahago (the person who made 3 excessively long hate-essays against komahina), and I was wondering if you had a link to the twitter post you made calling them out? (I think the one where you called them a "weirdo?")
hi yes here’s the thread where i detail all of it
here’s my original post that started it
just wanted to note because this info isn’t exactly told in the post : she called me (a gay trans guy) a delusional yaoi fangirl for liking kamukoma , also replied to an ask about me saying me and my friends are a “circlejerk” (which i feel is inappropriate because i’m a minor and some of my friends in said circle are adults) and also stating i was “jerking myself off on another platform” (again, minor)
i read the doc on your page & this isn’t really significant compared to the stuff on there so sorry if its a time-waster ‘^_^

Round 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda Under Cut
Jade Harley
She and Terezi were popularly mischaracterised and villainised in DaveKat fics, especially in Homestuck's heyday. It got really bad when DaveKat became canon.
One of the four original main characters who was progressively sidelined as the comic went on, shipteased with two boys (Dave and Karkat) but did not date either in the main comic. In the semi-canonical epilogue partly written by fans, she was characterized as lonely and hypersexual and 'getting in the way' of Dave and Karkat's true love.
okay so its been a while since my homestuck phase but. basically miss jade is a very kind girl who lives on a jungle island with a magic dog guardian and there are two guys who have crushes on her and treat her really weirdly because of it. anyway the two guys (dave and karkat) go from enemies to friends and are one of the most popular ships in the homestuck fandom despite actually having very little canon interactions while jade ends up lonely and mistreated by the narrative and the fans :(
Jane Crocker
Dynamite gumshoe gal.... I will NOT be talking about homestuck 2 or any of that mess. She loves baking and held so much rage inside of her and I understand. Was hated by large swathes of the fandom for "standing in the way of Dirk/Jake" because she had a crush on Jake.
She had the hots for Jake, but couldn't accurately convey her feelings, and he ended up with another male character (Dirk). Later on she was brainwashed and evil and had him captured and it was heavily implied some awful things would be done but a fair amount of people who ship Dirk and Jake took that as free reign to villainize her entirely for getting in between them when she never really did.
So victimized by the yaoi fangirls people claim Random Fascism in the sequel was in-character

You’ll have to excuse me, I’m kinda old
And I’ve been through this song and dance before.
I don’t want you to tell me about how obviously the symbolism, song lyrics, motifs, or themes of the story allude to the main character being gay/queer.
I want you to tell me if the author said he was queer. I want you to tell me if the publisher categorizes him as queer. I want you to tell me if he has been explicitly advertised as queer. Hell, I want you to show me the mainstream media that has stirred the pot on this, announcing it or broadcasting people who are against it.
You don’t get to live in this fantasy where being a gay main character is an easy thing, and the only worry is “Will They or Won’t They.”
You get to live in the world where if a character is queer, the author isn’t coy about it; its not a freakin’ mystery to be unraveled by analyzing the outro lyrics. Because not only would his editors/producers not want to be blindsided by that, but they need to market accordingly and predict audience responses. Because there will be people who boycott and hate it just because.
You don’t get to insist your ship is endgame by just saying the boys are dressed too cute to actually be straight. You have to insist your ship is endgame by showing actual improvements in actual gay men’s civil rights.
Do you see any evidence that the author is ALLOWED by his producers to write a queer main character? If not... the purpose of a lead female character is to be placed prominently in the advertising of the show, to show a balance and contrast to young girls. You remember those, right? Young girls? Many of whom aren’t yaoi fangirls, so their first priority when picking a show to watch isn’t imagining that all male best friends are secretly lovers.
You don’t get to ask for queerbaiting marketing because talking about actual gay men’s acceptance in society is too hard, so you’d rather pretend the real issue is who gets to hold Izuku’s hand in the opening sequence and not the massive amounts of worldwide homophobia and how it would affect Shonen Jump, Viz Media, Bones Studio, Crunchyroll, Medialink, Animax, and Warner Bros to have a cash cow franchise endorse a gay main character.
You don’t get to step backwards and ask for scraps.
You ask for real acceptance with a main character who is obviously written and marketed as queer. You don’t ask for your ship to be featured in the opening so that your gif sets look wicked cool.
And with all that being said, of course Bakugou is the most important relationship in Izuku’s story. This is a Shonen Jump anime, the rival is always the most important relationship in the hero’s story. But back in my day, yaoi fangirls didn’t insist that their ships - Grimmjow/Ichigo and Renji/Byakuya? Goku/Vegeta? Yugi Moto/Seto Kaiba? Hiei/Kurama? Ash/Gary or Red/Blue? Tai/Matt? Davis/Ken? - were canon and endgame, and if the authors looked like they were indulging them, they called it queerbaiting because “Shonen Jump would never.” Has something changed? Feel free to show me.
That’s all I ask.
