I was wondering if maybe you had some advice for me. I've been dealing with some really weird stuff here on Tumblr and I don't want to say I'm being harassed, but this is starting to get creepy.

I saw this funny meme about how Metal Gear Solid was a twerking simulator. At least I really thought it was a meme, because obviously anyone who knows what that is would know it's not about twerking, right? So I followed the blog which posted it. r4cs0. The blog description brags about being "Tumblr famous" which I also assumed was a joke.

Well the guy must watch his activity feed very closely, because within 2 minutes of following him, he had followed me back and was starting to send me private messages very insistently. It was a little off putting, but nothing that made me block him right away. And apparently the "famous" thing was partly true because he does have a lot of mutuals who seem to think he's the most awesome dude ever or something.

The problem started when he was apparently combing through ALL my past posts and actively looking for "problematic" issues. He found a post I made on St. Patrick's Day about a green shirt I wore and he asked if I was Catholic. When I said no, he insisted that I never wear green again and that I had to wear orange so people would know "which side" I'm on…? Then he found a post where I complained my blender broke and called it "useless." r4cs0 claims that word is the "U-slur" and that I was being "ableist" by using it! And so much other crazy shit I just can't even tell you everything.

But then the most disturbing thing was a message he sent just a few minutes ago. I don't know what the hell his problem is now and I'm honestly afraid to ask. "Still forced to ignore Christian Terrorism, I see?"

I have advice, anon!

Listen, I know that you aren't the "admit embarrassing stuff so the internet can have a laugh" blog or whatever, but I have to tell someone about this, I don't know who else to tell and it has to be anonymous. I just can't believe I was this stupid and I hope someone learns from my example.

About a month ago I was having a really bad day. Doesn't matter why, that's not the point of the story. But I get a private message here on Tumblr from an allegedly "Tumblr famous" user called r4cs0. And normally I would smash the block button so fast it would reverse the Earth's rotation. But it was a bad day, alright? I thought the worst case scenario is that I would end up cussing him out before I blocked him.

F---, I wish it had ended that way. I know it doesn't seem like it when you see the middle-school level "memes" he posts on his blog, but this guy could sell ice to Eskimos and convince them that it reverses Climate Change too. Before I realized what I had done, I had told him my address and said that I would be down with it if he came over with a six pack of beer. I still don't know how he knew what city I lived in even before he messaged me.

So he shows up and he is still super charming. But the BEER. It was literal Mexican beer, he even said he drove across the border to buy it, and it was the absolute worst rotgut s--- I've ever tasted in my life. I only managed to barely choke down half a can before I needed to use the bathroom BAD. And after everything that has happened I'm not above thinking he poisoned that beer to get me out of the room for awhile.

When I came out of the bathroom, he was gone and I just figured he decided to ghost me. Whatever, right? His beer sucked and I couldn't believe I even talked to him anyway.

But a few days later I found the first one. A drawer in my kitchen broke and when I was trying to put it back together I saw the bottom of the drawer, a place nobody would normally ever look. Someone had written a very large and offensive homophobic slur which starts with the letter "F" on the bottom of the drawer! You know which word I mean.

I didn't make the connection at first, but I keep finding more of them. I flipped over a couch cushion and found one. On the back of my mattress against the wall was another. The worst and most confusing so far was the inside of a milk carton… Which was still full of milk before I finished it!

I don't know how. And I definitely don't understand why. But r4cs0 did this. If he messages you, BLOCK.

Do you think the polls are inherently biased, because the well-known characters will be shared more wheras the unknown characters might never even reach their bubble where they are actually known by a lot of people?

Short answer is no.

Long answer is: well, if we want to be pedantic, an argument could be made that no method of collecting data via surveys, even self-administered surveys, is completely free of bias because that's just human nature and all you can do is minimize it by wording questions neutrally, trimming outliers, etc etc. With that out of the way, one very important thing to note here is that this isn't an opinion survey. The question being asked is very straightforward and the answer is not something that can be swayed or influenced by peer pressure, propaganda, unwillingness to disclose private information, or any other factors, be they internal or external. You either know a character or you don't. I mean, people could certainly lie, in either direction, but 1) why would you do that?? it's not even like we have winners or losers here, and 2) there's nothing I can do about it anyway.

Now, when it comes to sampling bias (which, from what I understand, is what you're actually asking about) my answer is still no, I don't think that's accurate. Popular characters will reach more people and get more votes overall precisely because they're more popular. If this were a tournament style blog or if I were asking your opinion on the character in question, then yes, I could definitely see how more well-known characters would be at an unfair advantage (or how tagging the polls with the character's name is encouraging that bias, as it's been suggested before), but this is not that! Well-known characters reaching their bubbles faster/more efficiently than obscure characters is an inherent part of being more popular. Everything is working as intended.

All that being said, there are a few factors which I think could influence results somewhat unfairly, but I wouldn't necessarily call them bias. They're more like limitations of the medium.

Firstly, the time and day of the week when a poll is published. I don't have access to this kind of data right now, but off the top of my head, I'd say Sundays around 10pm is when Tumblr users are most active. That, coupled with the fact that most users are from the United States, means that polls that come out of the queue on US Sundays during that time window have a chance to reach more people than all the others. However, this potential problem is organically circumvented by people going back to see previously posted polls, finding polls through reblogs or from tag searches, etc. So it's not really a significant difference. I haven't noticed the numbers reflecting this yet either, but in theory that's how social media works, so I thought it was worth pointing out.

Secondly, polls that were posted early on when the blog had fewer followers reached less people, on average, than polls being posted at the moment or that will be posted in the future. No argument there, that's just a fact. But, again, this is a limitation of the medium. Potentially, I could repost older polls at some point in the future and reassess characters' popularity, but how do I choose which ones? All of them? Wouldn't we just get stuck in a loop of reposting the same characters over and over then? That'd be no fun. So I don't really think there's anything to be done here, unfortunately.

Thirdly, meme-able characters will be see better engagement and consequently higher numbers of votes. Point in case, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Once again, not something that can be helped, not really. I do my best to maintain uniformity in how I format the polls and which pictures I choose (as high quality as I can find, cropped adequately, consistent size, etc.). But some characters will just have better chances of being shared around by virtue of featuring in memes or having some recognizable line or something like that.

To sum it up, overall I don't think there's an inherent bias in how the polls work at the moment. I do think there are certain factors that could marginally influence voting numbers, but not the votes themselves. (Which is why I've decided to compile two separate lists, by number of votes and by percentage-- they measure slightly different things, but that's a post for another day.) As long as every follower of this blog is delivered every poll to their dash and everyone pinky promises not to lie and screw up my numbers on purpose, then I'd say we're golden.

Sometimes I really hate the way people act when people want to express a difficulty when they have a privilege.

I am white. I make no secret of this.

I am also autistic. I also make no secret of this.

I once posted in an autistic group on FB about how, I live in a small UK town with a very small POC population, and how I rarely go outside, so I pick up most of my new vocabulary from online memes, so when it comes out that that vocabulary is AAVE and Black People are asking White People not to say it, I have a bit of a tough time because my communication is built on scripts and patterns and once something has become an accepted part of my script, removing it is a hard thing.

I made it clear that I DO stop. That I put the work in to break those scripts and stop doing something that I've been asked to stop doing because it's harmful, I made no excuses, and made it clear that I wasn't looking for people to say "Oh it's okay, you can because you're autistic!" Or mollify me.

I just wanted a space with other people that might understand the struggle I was having to vent and release because it IS a difficult task for me.

And again, I repeated at least 3 times in the post that I wasn't looking for absolution, praise for trying, or permission to say things that I have no right to say.

(I would also like to note that this was ALL about slang (ala 'on fleek') and not at all about Slurs. I am very lucky that I have never picked up slurs in my speech, I've just picked up a lot of slang that was not immediately 'advertised' as AAVE online)

The FIRST COMMENT was from a moderator, saying 'While it's hard for you, remember it's harder for POC who have to moderate what they say all the time and don't have the privilege of having time to learn.'

And just like that, I felt shamed. I felt ashamed for struggling with this thing, despite approaching this group MADE FOR AUTISTIC PEOPLE to get off my chest that I struggle with something that NT people would shame me for.

I felt ashamed for struggling with something because of my disability, because "Other people have it harder."

And I still feel ashamed. Every time I pick up a new piece of slang, there's this intense grip of panic and shame, because what if it's not FOR me to use? And if it comes out it's not in a few weeks/months, I don't get to complain that I'm struggling because other people have it harder, I'm privileged so I should just suck it up and ignore that my disability is making my life difficult.

I would never DREAM of seeing a fellow disabled person complaining about how difficult they were finding a waiting list for something they required and bring up that it's more difficult for Trans people because in the UK our waiting list is 5+ years minimum for a first appointment and another 1 year minimum after that first appointment to get any sort of treatment. Because that's not what the conversation is about, and all it will do is make them feel shit about struggling with their waiting list.

The oppression Olympics "Well this group has it worse!" When someone is expressing a struggle/disappointment IS NOT HELPFUL!

Shaming people because "Well this group has it worse!" IS NOT HELPFUL!

Unless someone is claiming that they are the group that has it the absolute worst, there is NO NEED TO SAY THAT YOUR GROUP HAS IT WORSE ON A VENT POST!

Everyone, E V E R Y O N E, from a skinny CisHet NT abled white man to the most underprivileged person you can possibly think of has things they struggle with and as long as they're doing it in the right forum (their blog, a vent room in a discord server, a group for people with their disability to discuss the way it makes their life difficult, their Twitter, their private diary), they should be met with support and care as long as their vent is not actively harming people. I have a busy life and what fic I work on in my free time is controlled by the whims of my brain. There's no schedule and I am unlikely to be able to give you an estimate. I will tag a fic as abandoned on AO3 if I decide there's no way it will ever get updated. For some fics for which I get this a lot:

Homemade Dynamite - I actually have about 95% of chapter 13 written. Chapter 12, however, is only like half written and I have a pretty big block on it. :(

Fun and Games - I do hope to continue this one, and I have a decent chunk of the next chapter written, plus notes + an outline for the rest of the fic. Unfortunately, to keep writing it, I have to do a decent amount of research on HP canon, and certain recent events have really soured my motivation to interact with that canon.

allie's moving to @enchaentd! i've had this blog for three years <3 and it is the longest i've ever kept a single blog active for. at this point, i feel completely overwhelmed here, with drafts, likes, inbox count, post count, and followers despite clearing them out quite a few times across the years. i really hate dropping things, and i feel like i have done so much more progression here and character building with allie, that i hate to move myself over. my stuff is here >:/ and it's true that i could move things over, but part of the reason i'm moving is just the clutter of everything. i'd like to keep a sideblog of rbs of hcs, threads, or other posts that i want to keep a little easier than just searching up things here. i have no intention of deleting this blog, you will never ever catch me doing that. also, my tags have been broken for, i think, almost one year, so i'm excited to be able to get to use some that work. I won't lie: I have a lot of hot takes and unpopular opinions. In reality, a lot of them may not actually be hot takes or anything, but I have opinions to say about the RPC as a whole.

First things first: I truly believe that communication is seriously lacking in the RPC, as a whole. There are a lot of times when I wonder if things could be settled between people if stuff was talked out between others, privately, of course, to settle things and not turn it into a massive "call out" or a bunch of petty drama. I do think that there are times when call-outs can be useful, however, I have my doubts that every callout out there is needed, and discussing the issue between people is a far better option.

Related to my last thing, I don't think everyone will like one another and that's ok. What isn't ok is creating a call-out or vague post, whatever it might be, to trash-talk the person because you don't like them anymore or whatever else. Just hard block and move on, it's literally not that difficult.

It certainly seems like helping people get around in a community has gone the way of the dinosaurs, in terms of nobody reblogging promos anymore. I also, personally, believe that people become incredibly "cliquish" with others and refuse to accept or help new members of a community get the word out and all because people like to stay close to a certain group. Which I don't think is bad, but I do think more people should spread the word about new blogs and help others find people to write with.

I have grown incredibly tired of the fact that people don't send in memes as well, it seems. Sure, I might have people do it every now and again, but theoretically, memes are supposed to be icebreakers between blogs and characters. I think people need to send more to start interacting with others, otherwise people will just unfollow and never interact because either you or the other person refuse to actually do any sort of interaction with one another.

Speaking of, I don't fully understand the idea of following someone and then never interact with them. I know this can be a two-way street, but I know I've had experiences where I try to send memes or write a starter, and then people never respond or anything, leading to me unfollowing. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I despise the "send this to your favorite blogs so they know you love them!" bullshit. In my time on Tumblr, I have seen those go around so many times and yet I know for a fact lots of people, myself included, never receive any of those. I don't think they're needed and I think they really drive the point home about people having "favorite blogs" that they only want to interact with and no one else.

Also, just a small thing to note: Don't be afraid to reach out to me or others if you want to chat, plot, discuss ships, etc. I know I've been told a few times in the past that people think I'm intimidating, mainly because of my writing, and I promise I'm not. I am legit here to have fun and meet new people. So, please, come chat with me if you want to and I will gush about my muses!

first of all , i'm sorry to hear that reki isn't doing well . i hope hy'll get better soon , but i couldn't have known he wasn't in a well mental state because i don't want to and can't interact with hys blog . i've been blocked quite a while ago , just after the first post i made on this blog . what happened will stay private as requested , but ive apologised and as far as i know , we made up . hy doesn't want to interact with me and i respect his boundaries .

talking of boundaries , i did not know hy was uncomfortable with people getting inspired by his art style . it is true that i took inspiration from hym , but to be fair all i took inspiration from was the shape of fur . my colour theory was fully taught to me by ashenoranges , round shapes have been inspired by another artist who does not want to be named , the way i draw hands along with cartoon-ish ( and also the round shapes ) by an artist on tiktok whose name i forgot ( but did a lot of utau / fell art , something along the lines of pupbiteez ) and the eyes i've just always drawn that way because i adapted it from when i just started getting into animation memes , but i tend to add tearducts too ( which i've adapted from p0ny.world ) . also , i love the chalky way calciumdreams's and yokoneko's art looks which i'm trying to work on getting into my art . i also mentioned some other artists in a previous ask about my artstyle , those artists also provide me references for when i'm trying to draw animals that stand on all fours .

asked one of my friends if they had any art of reki saved , for comparison . i guess i can see the similarities ?

the thing is that i use several outlines and lots of rendering on top of it and use a shade between green and orange always - when reki uses one line-art layer , has highlights instead of shadows in the hair , usually a blue shade and overall has thinner line-art where parts between similar parts of clothing and / or fur gets coloured differently in line-art .

i'm not saying my and reki's styles do not look extremely similar or that he never said anything about not liking inspiration , but i did not copy ( or at least INTEND to copy ) hym , neither did i ( key word , i ) ever read he was uncomfortable with inspiration . if you would like to provide proof then i'd love to have you dm it to me /gen

my intro post had taken me quite a few months to come up with , going through a few things to get inspiration from . however , i can see why you think i copied him , especially with how i provided my links . asked a friend of mine to provide a screenshot of reki's blog to compare them after you sent this ask . to clarify - i actually got inspo for my graphic and the stars between links from a friend of mine , who used to make simple transparent background graphics and used the 𓈒 symbol in between links instead . since i'm a pretty big fan of stars , i used stars instead . went through tags to find introduction posts that i could take inspo from , which mostly used different colours , and since i usually use orange or green shades in my art ( since they're my favourite colours ) i thought i'd apply that to highlight parts i thought were important . just talked a bit about me , connected a link to my identity in case you want to get to know me better , provided a link to my toy house in case you wanted to see my characters , then talked a bit about asks because i barely really got any before . it looked a bit empty at that point , so i thought i'd largen up something , but doing that at the top of the post seemed like it went from big to small and i didn't like that . moved the links to the bottom , largened them up and that seemed pretty good . but now it was a bit empty on top of the page , so after messing around with the graphic i realised that maybe i should add something that would devide the graphic from the text - a divider . now everything looked tidy , while not being too little nor too much . a link to stuff that went more into detail ,, perfect right ? but ;

i can totally see why you think they look familiar : same colours , same link stuff , separate part about the inbox , divider between texts and images , but i don't have access to reki's blog so i wouldn't have known . even if i did before , i wouldn't have remembered that in the past 2 months where i was much more busy with other stuff than remembering what someone else's , who didn't want to interact with me , intropost looked like .

HOWEVER ! i do acknowledge that my EMOTE art looks incredibly - extremely , almost completely identical to hys . hand shapes , eye shapes , body shapes , even the yellow body and line-art , the SHADING - all of that . i guess that comes with having similar artstyles , then also worrying about whether or not your art looks ok . i actually asked a friend of mine what i could change about my art so other people would maybe like or use it more , and they said that i only ever use harsh - thick lines , so i should keep the line-art simple and try airbrushing stuff . this is basically what reki did , and so i did use one of hys emotes from a server i'm in as a reference - i really liked the result , and posted it not thinking about how familiar they looked despite literally having his emotes and mine side by side for comparison .

they're extremely similar , especially the little closed eyes and blush . they both have that little red eyelid bit above their eyes and shaded cheeks + hands . i admit this is my fault for not having realised earlier how i basically copied hys style , and i'll try to make it more into my own style next time . i'm unsure of how to yet , but i'll figure something out .

also , besides all that , i'm not really copying his appearances , sonas , other stuff hy might have made . the yellow guy is pretty popular after all since it doesn't have an actual appearance or anything that would relate to identity and can be interpreted as anyone . sure , there's blogs like k9emotes who make white sillies instead of yellow , but i prefer using yellow and i'm also going to use these emotes . not saying i won't change how i'll draw them , this is just a reason , but that's why my and hys emotes look so similar — they're exactly what i and my friends would like emotes to look like if we're going to use them frequently .

all of this is not an excuse but simply an explanation so i hope everything is more clear . as stupid as it may sound , the intro post was truly a coincidence . my art looks similar to hys ( but not that much ) because he was an inspiration , but not my only inspiration and definitely not my biggest but the hair / fur is something i do use the most . i deeply apologise for any harm i have done and crossing unknown boundaries , but i'm afraid i can't directly apologise to reki as he doesn't want to interact with me , boundaries are boundaries .

long story short — yes i got inspired by the fur , the intro post was purely coincidental , unconsciously took too much inspo from emotes , i apologise for what i did but can't apologise directly bc im blocked .

Hm! I won't say it here, because I don't want to give the wrong impression. I will say I do have a few OTPs! My close friends/besties already know my bias!

Excluding the big NO-NO (r*pe, non-con, underage sex, and etc.), I'm pretty open and willing to try a variety of things for shipping. It can go from fluffy/playful to angsty next. On that note, I am also open to exploring toxic ships/red flags as well. :3

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

As someone who RP's muses who are either in the three digits or immortals, I can safely say as long as they are both ADULTS who are consenting, all is good. I will say NO if our muses have a parent/child bond like Muse A has raised Muse B since they were a kid, or anything similar to that.

Are you selective when shipping?

In general, it's a yes.

Mostly because I don't get home until the evening and by then my energy is pretty low. It takes time for me to sit down and focus on tumblr replies. Too many things happening can feel overwhelming for me, especially if I think about making sure shipping with the same muses are different/varied. It hasn't happened yet as my activity levels here are random! But I am thinking it about now and rjrbrjrhrje Y e a h. That is why I made the shipping rule for new people who are following me the first time.

Otherwise, if we're already friends, chances are we already went feral about the characters/ship. I don't mind going straight into pre-established ship or RPing (plotting) how they got together. I'm not picky in that regard.

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

I don't think I have reached that point on this site. If I do, I would say the moment they start stripping while kissing and getting handsy with each other. Maybe there's touching the private parts. At that point, as I try to follow my own rules, I would probably move the full NSFW into DMs/IMs.

I would say just be direct and ask if we can ship our muses together. I will say "yes" most of the time, especially if we have been plotting in the DMs and have a few IC already). If not, then yes I would like to discuss it first and get some IC interactions going. I always have a meme tag for a bunch of memes I've reblogged to break the ice, or starters if you prefer that!

Because, the more we talk about our muses dynamics and each other, I am more likely to fall in love and turn feral! I will be 100% on board shipping them! Like moreso if it's a character I am neutral about it's a BIG WIN because YOU made me love them!

Listen, I know that you aren't the "admit embarrassing stuff so the internet can have a laugh" blog or whatever, but I have to tell someone about this, I don't know who else to tell and it has to be anonymous. I just can't believe I was this stupid and I hope someone learns from my example.

About a month ago I was having a really bad day. Doesn't matter why, that's not the point of the story. But I get a private message here on Tumblr from an allegedly "Tumblr famous" user called r4cs0. And normally I would smash the block button so fast it would reverse the Earth's rotation. But it was a bad day, alright? I thought the worst case scenario is that I would end up cussing him out before I blocked him.

F---, I wish it had ended that way. I know it doesn't seem like it when you see the middle-school level "memes" he posts on his blog, but this guy could sell ice to Eskimos and convince them that it reverses Climate Change too. Before I realized what I had done, I had told him my address and said that I would be down with it if he came over with a six pack of beer. I still don't know how he knew what city I lived in even before he messaged me.

So he shows up and he is still super charming. But the BEER. It was literal Mexican beer, he even said he drove across the border to buy it, and it was the absolute worst rotgut s--- I've ever tasted in my life. I only managed to barely choke down half a can before I needed to use the bathroom BAD. And after everything that has happened I'm not above thinking he poisoned that beer to get me out of the room for awhile.

When I came out of the bathroom, he was gone and I just figured he decided to ghost me. Whatever, right? His beer sucked and I couldn't believe I even talked to him anyway.

But a few days later I found the first one. A drawer in my kitchen broke and when I was trying to put it back together I saw the bottom of the drawer, a place nobody would normally ever look. Someone had written a very large and offensive homophobic slur which starts with the letter "F" on the bottom of the drawer! You know which word I mean.

I didn't make the connection at first, but I keep finding more of them. I flipped over a couch cushion and found one. On the back of my mattress against the wall was another. The worst and most confusing so far was the inside of a milk carton… Which was still full of milk before I finished it!

I don't know how. And I definitely don't understand why. But r4cs0 did this. If he messages you, BLOCK.

As the name suggests, this is my Cyberpunk 2077 blog. I used to do a lot of virtual photography in that one - and yes, this time I mean real VP, though still no paid tools, just vanilla and free mods. I love Goro Takemura and ship my fem V with him heavily - wrote a dope fanfiction about them called 'Broken' (and following parts 'Gimme Danger' and 'Last Caress'). I reblog other cp77 vp (especially of Goro) and fanart. I don't currently play the game or shoot photos, but I have a large collection I plan to drizzle over the next few months, until I maybe decide to go back to cp77 for a while again and finally play Phantom Liberty that's been waiting for me for a long time now xD.

Bits of trivia: I'm Czech, cis woman (bi & poly and, frankly, hyper), 32, in a relationship, mom to a 5yo boy, a writer struggling to finish and publish her first original novel, drowning her sorrows in fanfic instead :). I got to most of my fandoms quite late in life, because where I live this info only started to properly flow in with the coming of the internet. I'm usually a casual fan, though when I hit a gold vein I can get a bit obsessed. I love writing fanfiction, which is mostly why I'm here on this site. I self-insert a lot (therapy writing) and usually ship us, with the rare occasion of finding a couple where I can identify with one of them (or mold them to my image because I like or even fancy them). I've spent my life believing I was hetero and discovered I'm not only once I (finally) was in a hetero relationship and had a kid, so... my ships are also hetero. It's a habit, not hating, I don't discredit any gay ships (maybe quietly to myself when they don't make any sense to me character-wise, lol). My AO3 account: XindiChick I usually try to write even the most niche of my ships in a way that doesn't require much knowledge of the original, so you're welcome to browse and read to your heart's content if you happen to like my style. I welcome any interactions, especially comments, because I don't get many.

@silhouette-anon Soup, thank you so much for running the Gangle blog, if it wasn't for you, I would never have found this silly little RP community. I was so scared to interact for so long, I lurked and only sent a couple of unsigned anon asks, but the way you interacted with your regular anons gave me the confidence to also try and become a regular. You were just so kind to everyone, and it was wonderful to see. Love your art, love your RP, love how you make me smile in one moment and then make me cry in the next.

@sh4tt3rg1rl Basil, Soup may have been how I found TAOCC, but you are the reason I wanted to get involved with actually RPing in it. I don't remember how I stumbled on Mix's blog, but he was the first non-canon character in the group that I followed. I just loved his story, his design, the way you RPed, everything. Again I was too scared to actually approach you, instead I watched for a few weeks without making a single RP post. And even when I did start RPing, I was still a little intimidated by how amazing your writing was, so even though I still followed your blogs, it took me way too long to finally ask if I could interact with one of your characters. And of course your art blows me away all the time!

@the-moth-from-elsewhere Elsie, you were the first person in TAOCC I actually RPed with, though I never intended that. But I was so intrigued by Aoki's interaction with Mix, he seemed like such an interesting character, and I was blown away with how you RPed him. I wanted to follow that OC, but I didn't know what his blog was. I just knew yours. When I asked you if you had a list of OC blogs, you not only gave them to me, but pointed me in the direction of Dusk as a nice OC for me to introduce Grif to. In a rare burst of confidence, I sent an actual RP ask. I haven't looked back since. Your art style is so adorable, and you kinda scare me with how many characters you have, but I'm impressed by all the thought you put into TAOCC and I could listen/read your rambles for hours!

@shot-of-hopes-and-dreams Hope, I've already told you before how much I appreciate you for being the first person to send a character ask to Grif completely out of the blue. But I don't think I ever told you that you were also the first person I DMed to ask about joining a plot. DMs always scare me, I think because of how private they are, and it took me a good few days to work up the courage to send the message, but I'm so glad I did! Every time I get a message, or ask, or @ from you, I get excited, and sometimes a little nervous, you do love being evil after all! You surprise me a lot, keep me on my toes and really make me think when we RP together, and it's a ton of fun! I do love your sketchy art style too, and in my opinion it doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Star, Feiar, and everyone else that I've talked to outside of RPing (including the people I singled out above), thank you for all being so sweet and kind and welcoming. I really do struggle with social stuff especially voice calls, I always feel a little awkward by how I'm mostly non-verbal, and I often avoid calls because of it, but just you guys being so understanding has really helped me get over that fear!

the ones that have been occupying my brain rent free are; my canon x oc ship with makenzi, iselda x rosinante, and SanVio. i favor a lot of other ships, but those two are heavy on my mind.

i'm down for all sorts of ship dynamics! i think the most important thing is chemistry between writers and what works for the characters themselves. toxic / unhealthy ships, i'm willing to explore, but again heavily depends on writer chemistry and understanding. plus, there are a few things that are a hard no for me that would need to be communicated.

i think the biggest thing for me here is i really don't like ships where one has watched the other grow up and then when they're of age, the ship happens, or once was their teacher sort of thing, the unbalance of power there as well as the fact they were likely a minor at the time. both of those make me uncomfortable.
