Massive Milgramsona art/info dump as a treat to myself!! Alas, my fatal flaw is being unable to shut up about anything even while simultaneously embarrassed/nervous to share, so here's literally all the info I have on her 😅
Profile:
Name: For the sake of posting online I’ll call her Rose!
Number: 012
Color: #E7355B
Age: She’d be 20 when Milgram started
Status: Milgram Staff, Machine Technician
Song genre: Pop/theater (a mix of Mahiru and Kazui's vibes)
Backstory: She is studying abroad in Japan to work on technology related to the mv machine when she stumbles into top secret info about the trials. Horrified at the lack of prior testing, she demands to be included in the experiment to make sure the brand new tech runs smoothly and doesn't harm anyone in the process. To prevent her leaking info to the public and deciding an extra participant wouldn't hurt, Milgram agrees.
Role: Rose performs routine maintenance and updates on the extraction machine, and checks in with prisoners' health to make sure it's not having any adverse effects. She listens in on the interrogations, ringing the bell to signal Es when the machine is ready for use (re: my theory on how it works >:3). She then watches the mvs after Es to make sure there are no glitches.
(Though she is a personal milgramsona, her role in the story is supposed to reflect the audience's experience overall when it comes to how much info we know, emotions we experiencing regarding guilt/responsibility, and how much power over events we actually have given the voting system and trial breaks.)
Trial 1
Jackalope's comments during trial commencement: Oh, I almost forgot participant 012, Rose. We've never had more than one staff member before, so we figured that sort of numbering would be fine. Hey, don't look at me, it's not like it was our idea to include her. She's not a prisoner -- the only crime she's committed is sticking her nose where it didn't belong... You can ask her for the details, but she's just here for maintenance on our extraction machine. It's not easy keeping that thing running smoothly, you know? As part of her duties, she'll be privy to all the same information as you, but don't let her be any more of a busybody than she already is -- she has absolutely no authority when it comes to your verdict decisions, got it?
MV: Mic Check - “Can anyone hear me?”
VD: Positive Feedback
Cover: Pathological Facade - Ghost
Her album would release last in line. The VDs aren't interrogations since there's been no crime -- Es asks about her duties and observations of the prison. In them, she admits her predictions that she and Es will eventually be on trial for their involvement in the prisoner's fates.
Thus, her mvs are focused on her emotions towards the prisoners, her pride in helping bring justice, and her guilt at providing Milgram a means to pass judgement on people she cared about. I'm going to Goncharov the actual mvs/songs, but Mic Check is generally an introduction to her job behind the scenes prepping the equipment that will allow the prisoners' songs to be heard, as well kick off symbolism of her as a performer herself. She'll make a comment about how the experiment is leading to tragedy, "as if someone said Macbeth" (then covers her mouth, as she's standing in a theater herself).
I kept getting tripped up looking for Deco*27 songs that worked and weren't already taken, so I decided to go with some favorites and vibe-matching songs from other artists!
Comments during trial closing: It's good to hear you weren't a pushover when Rose gave her thoughts on the verdicts -- you guys disagreed on quite a few of them, eh? Ah... so she's not the type to pick fights, is that it? I guess that explains how she's managed to get along with everyone. (sigh) Even you knew better than to get attached like that. Well, at least she's kept our machine up and running the whole time.
Trial 2
Commencement: Now I need to wake Rose. We're going to need some extra upgrades to our machine if we want to get the most out of this round of extractions. I've got a sneaking suspicion that she and her bleeding heart are going to try and sway you during this trial. Her duty is specifically to look out for the prisoners' safety, but yours is only to judge them. Don't forget that.
MV: Changement - “Don’t say ‘break a leg,’ if it might just break.”
VD: Control Variable
Cover: TOXY - Kujiragi
I did my best to write out the title pronunciation out in katakana since I wanted it as the name of the dance move, not a direct translation of meaning. I went with シャジェモ "sha-je-mo" as the closest I could get to the "shanj-mou" sound, but feel free to correct me if there's a better way to write it. The door is based off of various set designs for Clara's home in The Nutcracker. (There's no deep meaning that this is the only one not opening -- I realized too late all the others are cracked open and my art app doesn't have the tools to easily fix that so I'm sticking with it 😭)
A changement is a small jump in ballet -- I thought it was fun to combine that (which means "to change") with Control Variable (refering to the variable in an experiment that never changes). The video shows conflicting emotions as her decisions/inaction caused so much to happen between trials, yet at the same time she feels like there's so much she'll be unable to change even if she really wants to intervene. Her mvs show the prisoners pretty regularly (since they are her crime, she's realized), and the teaser line is paired with references to Mahiru's broken leg.
The thumbnail combines different areas of study -- mechanical, medical, musical, mathematical (theater spotlight, muscles, Weakness notes, motion formulas). I think it's super cool how many areas of expertise are passed around the fanbase when discussing the characters. I've picked up new facts about plants, food, anatomy, geography, music, animals language, (sigh. color theory.), hobbies, professions, mythology, etc from fans with different fields of knowledge. While that's one of my favorite aspects of the project from the outside, I think it would be super intimidating to someone on the inside trying to tackle so much information at once.
Closing: As for Rose... (laughs) I thought she was dooming herself before--! Not only has she gotten hopelessly attached to everyone over the course of this trial, she's even started a relationship with one of the prisoners! And of all the people she could have chosen... Eh? Oh no, we have no policies against that for our staff. I mean, the whole point of Milgram is to explore human nature, the power of emotions, the complexities of connections, all that crap. I'm just grateful she shows a bit more common sense when she's operating the machine...
Trial 3
MV: Showstopper - “There won’t be applause, but I’ll take a bow, okay?”
VD: Please Exit Left
Cover: Ironina - Nilfruits
I don't know the album theme yet, but this is the tentative sprite and thumbnail design. The T2 sprite was kind of an "innocent" one, since at the beginning she still has faith in her role in the prison, excited to work with everyone there. (Plus, I joined the fandom a little after t2 started so that's peak excitement time lol). The T3 sprite has much more of a "guitly" feel to it because, at the end of T2 and after this hiatus, she'd harbor a lot more guilt about her position and fear about the experiment's conclusion. As a fun little detail, her pencil has been replaced with a more permanent utensil as final verdicts are locked in.
Now listen. My artist brain was constantly fighting my science brain when doing sprite designs -- I know gloves like that and nothing else isn't proper PPE. I know none of those are safety shoes (god forbid wearing just socks??? to the lab???). There should be no jewellery at all. The whole point of a lab coat is that you don't roll up the sleeves and expose your bare skin. However. It's anime character design. There can be compromise.
Referencing Rose's personal life as a performance and comparing Milgram's trials to one, I wanted the mv to play on "showstopper" as both a great show and a literal attempt to stop the project before it reaches its finale. There would be creepy comparisons in the mv between operating stage equipment and prison executions: curtain/set ropes and nooses, heavy duty lightswitches and electric chairs, etc.
Misc.
And lightening things up again -- birthday art and minigrams :3
Birth flower: Camellias. Pink camellias symbolize love but also longing. The fact that they bloom in winter, and have a quick death (the entire flower wilts at once, instead of individual petals falling off), have inspired different meanings in different cultures -- overcoming hard times, facing death in battle, inseparable lovers, and so on
Three minigrams featuring my own annoyance that her design is a bit close to Shidou's coat/gloves look, a mandatory short joke, and a pun that works so perfectly for my Put-In-Situations guy
#lol it really is a DUMP - ive been collecting little pieces for so long and decided to just drop everything at once#my art app doesnt have a good text function so you must deal with my handwriting 🤷♀️#im usually pretty willing to do accurate uniform runes but i did not have it in me to do it this time lol#it was so fun learning to mimic the minigram style!! i tried my best at Manga Humor TM but idk if i succeeded adfsdf#the panel where fuuta is zoning out -- the notes are the mii channel music 😂#aww and i found a really cute wobbly cake reference that i used :D#i own like no fancy shoes (i always borrow my parnters/moms/sisters if needed sadfasdf) so i thought itd be perfect to use my pointe shoes#even though my favorite color is yellow i went with pink because 1. muu already has the standard bright yellow id want#and 2. i own So Many pink clothes and accessories LOL#still -- i didnt want to go crazy figuring out a million outfits so i just drew her in the same one each time rip#definitely a good exercise to combat the usual self loathing..... it was really interesting to do and im... much happier with the#final pieces than i ever expected..... ;-----;

gen question but isnt dedegoon or dedesuka or whatevr a proship? ive seen some ppl calling it a proship cuz its abusive but your bio says proship dni so idk if its ok to ship or what (sorry im new to this)
hiya! thank you for your ask! it isnt and heres why
first of all i am /Not/ proship. i am not anti-anti or whatever either. what drives me to ship them is the fact theyre friends who like to be in each other's company. i like their sweet moments together. they bond over scamming an innocent population and bullying children. they're partners in crime. theyre besties who talk shit about others as a hobby.
i also don't think theyre already dating. i look at their relationship and im like. you guys have some kind of weird crush on each other and you're also selfish assholes. they're in the world's worst situationship.
"but dedede whacks escargoon a lot!" not only does escargoon get physical towards him too (the dynamic starts shifting in the dentist episode) but his "punishments" are often for a reason. escargoon is often very mean to dedede. in almost every episode he calls him hopeless or stupid or ugly or anything like that. and that gets him a whack. if i were dedede i'd do that too! it'd piss me off! having my lackey who i pay and who i consider my best friend insult me so overtly over and over LOL. but does escargoon ever try and stop him his evil doing? hell no! the guy helps him and gives him advice and ideas! he is NOT a good guy either. he loves being mean! he literally says it!
of course escargoon cares a loy about him. pretty sure everyone is aware. i don't even need to compile all the times he runs after him or worries about his well being. one time he "left" after he realised he'd have to do all the waddle dee's chores and didn't want to do his job. guess who's shown tearing up when seeing what poor state dedede is in after being left all on his own. he's always protecting him and defending him (sometimes backhandedly) from other people. he holds dedede dear. it's obvious he does. he's an old man, he's not being manipulated into liking dedede. he genuinely cares about the guy.
there are episodes where they bicker a lot but end up getting along, episodes where they're the best of friends and episodes focused on their resentment against one another. the show kind of yoyos with their relationship. it's not really anything to take seriously. if you get offended from their interactions you'd get a heart attack from watching looney tunes. the back and forth of their dynamic is part of the fun!
I *highly* recommend watching the original version of the show as the dub often replaces sweet lines they share with jokes that don't really hit the mark. it's a shame. (however i will give the dub some credit on occasion)
Actually, i have a [post] that compiles a lot of sweet screenshots of them together. it doesnt include the times where they hold on to each other in the cannons or in the whispy woods episode or when esxargoon said "isnt this strange? can't you feel we're striving apart?" and dedede says "what! that's ridiculous!" in a lighthearted voice. or when escargoon makes a joke about a late night drive being romantic and dedede just? laughs in agreement? there's a scene where they call each other stupid in the most friendly way ever. i actually have a handy twitter of fun scenes where escargoon gets away with some things (doesn't include when escargoon yells at him in the fireworks episode or orders him in episode 69), like saying *he's* actually the one in power because dedede isn't competent enough to reign. or dedede understanding escargoon's concerns of him becoming dumber than he is already.
they're just villains who are attached to each other and are a team no matter what.
escargoon protects dedede a lot, and he cares about him more than what his job entails, but people tend to forget he's got a special place in dedede's heart too.
dedede keeps an album of pictures they took together. he never threatens to fire him and, as far as i know, never even cuts his salary and is the only one in the castle to even have a bonus. he shares the food he keeps from the waddle dees with him in episode 93. he clarifies he doesnt want knuckle joe's monsters to attack either of them. he's fine spending large amounts of money on him. twice? he never calls him ugly somehow. he even thanks him for having put up with him for so long and serving him well when the world is about to end. and then he clings unto him because he's scared of dying alone. his way of showing affection is not the "im crying because i think you're in danger" type of way that escargoon shows a lot but it's there.
Of course i don't think they're perfect gay rep. that's literally so stupid. you think im gonna look at two dumbasses who are bitter towards one another from what, a parodic, satirical children's anime from the early 2000s, and go "hmm yes this is what every queer couple should aspire to be this is peak lgbt rep"
If we're gonna talk about them how about we talk about some issues this show has that no one ever addresses. the colorism of the uv episode that is not put into question, not even by tiff, the moral compass. the rising sun imagery that is very much intentional as dedede is a caricature. the fatphobia? the fact kirby calls kawasaki and nagoya homos??? straight up???
people often blame episode 88, and yeah, it's not my favorite episode either. everyone's weird in that episode, not just dedede! yabui is far from empathetic, even the ebrums are disrespectful, and escargoon taunts dedede into chasing him for laughs and teases him about his old age. even at the end he teases him. i think it's one of those episodes that you just have to blame on the writers kinda like 89 (for example this one has got the right message but the execution is painful to watch. poor tiff.)
now, if 88 had changed their relationship it'd be a different matter. there are some sweet moments they share outside of their general "partners in crime" dynamic past episode 88 in my post actually! my favorite is the one where dedede has his arm around escargoon who's curled up like a cat while they're sleeping and the waddle dees are tucking them in from episode 91. it makes me so happy.
i could probably talk so, so much more about them. they're a huge comfort to me. however i don't trust just anyone with them. i am very much aware some people like them for the wrong reasons. but if you have a brain you can see where i'm coming from.
the show makes fun of them because they're evil, self-centered cowards. not because they're "gay" or anything like that. i saw someone call them queerbait one time and i had to log off for a minute.
anyway, to answer your question, people who do not recognize their genuine attachment to one another are bound to have a twisted view of them. i don't like dedegoon because they're "toxic" or awful to each other. but because they're each other's best friends. that's all. it's fine if you don't ship them, too. i just hope i can prove to people that they do matter to each other and that they're friends :)
#ask#yes i made sure to include other images than the ones already in my comp im doing a great job in dedegoon#there are so many things i didnt include there#everytime i think of them i remember something new#i also want to point out that i rewatch the show regularly. im on my... uh.. 7th proper rewatch? with my boyfriend#so. if anyone accuses me of fandomifying this show they chose the wrong person#also they say aishiteru 3 times atp idk what to tell you

I've been living that solo life for almost 2 years now, but sometimes I will listen to my old 'Top 20 favorite BTS songs' playlist or check my 98 GB 'BTS Live Performances' folder (I'm truly not exaggerating the size, though 30GB of those are just from a folder titled 'Jimin' which includes not only live performances but also his MVs and all the Production Diary stuff. I also download everything in the highest quality I can find which increases the size) and watch one of their pre-2020 performances, specially their tours, and I'm like "Man, there was a reason I was a fan of these guys". I almost forgot after the past almost 5 years of no proper group albums or tours and instead only a few mediocre songs here and there and concerts that were 60% pre-2020 songs they already performed a thousand times and 40% their new meh music that either doesn't have a choreography or does but it's kinda basic (I have beef with PTD on Stage, the only good parts were ON and Black Swan. Why did they ignore 85% of MOTS7? They finally had the opportunity to perform those songs in a live concert and instead of doing that they decided to do Fire again for the billionth time).
If they're really going to insist on coming back with the group they could at least go back to the version of the group that was actually worth being a fan of. But if they're gonna go back to their Dynamite, Butter, PTD, YTC, Take Two bullshit then they're just wasting the members. Cause Jimin and the rapline have solo music they want to make but won't be able to if they're stuck in the group. It would be specially a waste of Jimin, cause unlike rapline people care about his music (rip to the rapline, my grandpa would've loved your music Namjoon) and there's also no guarantee that Jimin is going to be invited to the exclusive 'Members Who Make The Group's Music' club. Jimin is the only member making music and having performances fans actually like and they're gonna sit in him a chair and give him two lines in a mediocre songs he didn't write. That shit should be considered a crime, genuinely.
Like I said, there was a reason I used to be a fan, and while I don't think I will care about those six like I care about Jimin, well, I never really did in the first place but I still managed to like the group cause I liked them as a whole not individually, so I could care about the group again if they simply give me a reason to. I'm not like armys, I can't stay a fan based on the love I felt years ago. I need to feel that love again in the present otherwise I'll just have to find something better to be a fan of.
.🎯🎯🎯
#I think I’ll probably always be a casual listener of BTS#but restanning? no#and they’d be foolish to not let Jimin contribute more to production/writing#considering between the 4 of them he’s the only one with multiple hits under his belt from chapter 2

Catching up
I got tagged approximately one million years ago by @burberrycanary 💙 and @somanywords 💛. Sorry it took me so long! 😬
Last song: I don't know the exact song, but I've been listening to the album Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert a lot. I'm not a particuarly big fan of Bob Dylan, or a fan at all, really. However, I am absolutely a die-hard fan of Cat Power and I think that Chan Marshall is probably the best cover artist of...all time? Well, certainly of her generation. That's not to shade her original compositions, which I also love, but she's brilliant at taking songs that you thought you could no longer listen to because they've been played ad nauseam everywhere for decades, and then teasing something fresh and original and truly moving out of them. Listen to her covers of "I'll Be Seeing You" or "Mr. Tambourine Man" or even "New York, New York" and tell me they don't excite you in any way (if they don't, I suspect you have no soul). She's even great at covering herself! Please go and listen to her 2008 cover of her own 1998 song "Metal Heart" right now. It's one of my all-time faves and also, yes absolutely a Stucky song.
Relationship status: I have a person.
Sweet/spicy/savory: Everything all at once, please.
Favorite color: Blue, blue, blue. International Klein Blue to be precise. I cannot get enough of it. Also, I will die on the hill that chartreuse is actually a great color.
Last movie: The Last Stop in Yuma County which was a fun neo-western/crime thriller that didn't take itself too seriously and didn't outstay its welcome. Imagine that! A 90-minute movie. They still make those! Wild. If you like Tarantino and/or the Coen Brothers, but played at a faster, snappier tempo, you will probably enjoy this one too.
Last show: So many. Bodkin, which is the epitome of "this show doesn't know what it wants to be." Is it a quirky comedy? A crime show? A (very tepid) satire? It's not like you can't combine these genres, but the show doesn't combine them, it swings wildly between them. The ending was terrible. I've finally started watching Hacks (a delight!) and I'm still slowly making my way through Kings (only 2 episodes left). Also following along with the new season of IWTV, which remains an absolutely bonkers show. If *this* is what made it into the final cut, can you imagine what didn't? Oh, to be allowed to read the studio notes for this one!
Last thing I googled: The origin and meaning of a Norse/Russian name. For reasons.
Current obsession: The Terror brainrot is still going stong. I have learned so much about Arctic Exploration in the 1800s over the past few weeks. Also, in a curious turn of events, I have started reading Masters of the Air fanfic? I was unfortunately pretty disappointed with the show. I had hoped it would trigger a level-11 hyperfixation but instead it just kinda came and went and I didn't even think about it anymore. Then an author, who I still follow because they used to write Stucky, started posting one Buck/Bucky (yes, they are two different characters) fic after another, and one day I said, 'Why not give it a shot?' Well, here we are, tens of thousands of words later, and for the first time in my life I'm beginning to understand the people whose general fandom attitude is 'I don't care for the source material at all, but the fic! Oh the fic compels me!' I have been compelled. I'm now a person who reads fanfiction for a pairing that includes a character played by Austin Butler (sorry Butler heads, I just don't get it).
Wonders never cease.

Like I said, I got tagged for this ages ago, so I don't know who's done this (recently). I'm gently tagging @bromcommie, @aimmyarrowshigh, @zenaidamacrouras1, @shackleton2 and @hail-americas-ass. Also, I mean it when I say I want to know what everyone else is watching/eating/obsessing over/etc. Tell me! Open tag for everyone who wants to do this.

Review of the last few episodes of Agatha All along / whole series opinion (With Spoilers)
To address a few things first. Someone has been mistaking my Facebook posts as plagiarism. My guess is they googled parts of my post and found my TheNightling Tumblr blog. Yeah... That's me. I post on more than one site. That's not plagiarism. All my words are my own except if in quotation marks and sourced. Second thing to address. Some people mistakenly think Agatha All Along is for kids because it's a Disney+ show under the Marvel banner. Let me just say that is NOT the case! Though it isn't gory like American Horror Story I would say this show was the equivalent of American Horror Story: Coven. There's death, including the literal Death incarnate / Grim Reaper. There's even the death of a child. It's not gory but it's definitely not "kiddie."
As I predicted we got a few more versions of The Witches Road song. We got the slow evolution of the song as sung by Nicolas Scratch (Agatha's Son) and a new montage version where we see Agatha luring witches to be victims of her power-draining / feeding, something Mordo was apparently originally supposed to be doing in the Doctor Strange sequel but it was dropped to make the story Wanda-centric. (No one remembers that Doctor Strange bonus scene of Mordo stealing magick?) So for those keeping score we now have nine (sort of ten or eleven) versions of The Witches Road song. 1. The Winding Road (True Crime version) 2. The Witches Road (Sacred chant version) 3. The Ballad of The Witches' Road (Lorna Wu 70s Glam version) 4. The Ballad of the Witches Road coven version (episode cut) 5. The Balled of the Witches Road coven (full album version) 6. The Witches Road instrumental version. 7. The Windy (Winding) Road / Witches Road (Nicolas Scratch version. Might count as two versions.) 8. Agatha's montage version as she tricks other witches through the centuries.
9. The Balled of The Witches' Road (Japanese Breakfast pop version). Anyway... Here we learn Agatha's backstory, or rather a fragment of it. We see her after it's been established that she preys on other witches like a vampire to feast on their power. She takes advantage of their kindness and hospitality to prey on them and teaches her young son to act as bait for kind witches. The show strategically hides from us who Nicky's father is. It is easy to say "We don't need to know, he's not important." but is something to be curious about. Apparently his father's identity is still a secret in the comics too. (I just checked. I had thought his father might be Mephisto, the demon from the Faust legend who is running around in Marvel.)
Agatha does under-go a redemption arc but it's not as big of one as I'd hoped. It takes a reminder of her son for her to sacrifice herself for Billy (Wiccan). I wonder what Billy told "his" (actually William's) parents when he showed up a day late and bloodied. Survived an attempted mugging? Jumped by bullies? How do you explain that without freaking them out? You know he can never tell them he's not their original son, that William died in the car accident and he jumped into the empty body. They'd disown him if they believed him. (At least most people would but you'd wish they wouldn't.) Now we come to the one thing I did not like about the show. I do NOT like that The Witches Road was manifested entirely from Billy's mind based on things in his bedroom ala Sarah in Jim Henson's Labyrinth. I saw the clues but was sort of hoping that The Witches' Road was real and just using Billy's mind to shape itself according to this particular coven and that it was Billy's power that opened the way. The idea that Billy created it entirely out of a con is very disappointing to me. We didn't need a second WandaVision "twist." I'd have been much happier if The Witches' Road was something ancient and primal and Billy just opened the way and so it tapped into his mind and manifested from his mind.
My second big complaint about Agatha All along was the notion that Agatha didn't realize she was the one who bound Jen. I know. I know, she could be playing dumb, but it was Agatha giving a reaction indicating that she just realized it- that lead to Jen figuring it out. But here's the thing. How do you cast a binding spell (for pay) roughly around the time a well-known witch is mysteriously bound and you already know roughly when she was bound, and you never consider you might have been the one to do it?!?? This version of Agatha Harkness is, in my opinion, very Dracula-esque. Not the archetype or literary Dracula but Marvel's Dracula. If you've read Tomb of Dracula you may know what I mean. A morally very grey character who is still capable of love and grief. And feeds on innocent victims... Since Agatha obviously isn't strictly lesbian... I'd ship it. Agatha and Dracula. (See the song Rapping with The Witch. It's a song about a wicked Witch's affair with Dracula.) I do like that Agatha returned as a ghost though. She died and came back as a sassy advisor ghost in the 90s (I think) comics. It reminds me a bit of Bob in The Dresden Files (TV show version, not the novels. I know, I know, it's not the same). I'm glad that this show at least established that Death incarnate is real in Marvel, witches are real, (though I hated the term "Analog magick.") and I do like Agatha back as a ghost buuuut I'm nervous about how they'll handle her ghostliness here on out. And this version of Death is no Death of The Endless from Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. Like Death of The Endless she is just fulfilling her function in the natural order of things but she's a bit of a b-tch about it. Will Marvel chicken out about Agatha being a ghost and say her consciousness is being fed into the mushrooms and manifesting a corporeal form for her still active brain? Will Marvel claim she's just an extension of Billy's subconscious / dark side? Will they reveal she's something else or someone else entirely? I'm nervous and don't trust Marvel to let a ghost be a ghost. Also it's funny that they say Agatha named him Nicolas Scratch because he's not made from magick, he was made "from scratch" when I thought he was named after "Old Scratch" or "Mr. Scratch" which is an old nickname for The Devil.
I do love that Agatha now has the silver hair of her comic book counter part's original incarnation though. And I am glad this seems to tease the story will continue with Billy and Agatha. I'm curious to know what will come next. I do miss her recently deceased coven though, I liked them. So in general I loved the show but I am disappointed that The Witches' Road isn't some primal entity manifesting a location based on their minds and thoughts but instead is just from Billy's subconscious... period. They could have had so much fun with the mystery of who or what really created the road centuries upon centuries ago. And I'm nervous about how the show will handle Agatha The Ghost or if they'll let her BE a ghost.

small bootleg!tmnt details/fun facts
from what i've seen nobody ever pointed them out so i thought it'd be nice to share ^^ spoilers ahead ofc
in 'who needs a vet', the stockman's remedy is actually a large contributor to the boys' recovery as the recipe was developed by superfly to aid his family/mutants
the intervention gag in 'sports! any%' and 'leon ardo alone' is inspired by the same gag in How I Met Your Mother
in 'pizza-nal economics', the only reason why leroy hired mikey (and by extension, keno) is because he knew he could fight/defend himself from the customers of their business
according to the boys' pizza tier list, Run of the Mill is an A tier
Raph-Bucks were inspired by the unicon bits from the las pegasus unicon incident
the episode's ending with mikey walking in to the raph-buck revolution is also inspired by the community pizza fire meme
as mentioned by casey in 'i thought YOU were sneaking out', raph had technically met them during his sports speedrun, as they were the goalie raph hit in the shin
bishop is actually teased as early as the episode 'fiend trip' by the principal
melissa is very heavily inspired by old friends of mine which is why she's Like That lmao
i mutated the general into scale tail for the sake of using the concept design before the mutant mayhem script released and revealed that his name is actually spider... oops–
lotus's background wasn't actually planned and was made during her introduction in 'leon ardo alone', the reason being is because i didn't want to actually make her last name blossom
the reason why klunk duplicates is due to the sea sponge dna she mutated with, as some sea sponges can create extensions of themselves if they feel like they are in danger
by extension, when klunk is scared, she hardens for defense, but when she's happy/relaxed, her entire body softens, including her organs
the person bishop is calling throughout 'green party candidates' and briefly in 'the devolution of turtle' is irma's mother, mrs. lynette knight, though they are close enough for first name basis
as explained in 'no paint no gain', keno is well liked by/has easy entry to the crime scene of nyc due to his cousin being in the foot clan
although not explored in season 1, angel has a heavy interest in film and has implemented tv systems in each room of hun's house
leo told bishop about the market incident, as he mentioned to casey in 'no paint no gain', which is why tcri (and eventually hun) knows about casey's involvement and relationship with the turtles
i did not know about the 03 nano episodes in depth before writing marion into donnie's tech circle and for that i am so sorry
in 'the psat', irma is supposed to act as the proper example of how to treat the psats: completely unseriously
i didn't know normani announced her album around the time of 'the psat' episode's release until a month after
'the devolution of turtle' was genuinely gonna be a lot more of a sillier episode but it really took a turn after bishop started being developed
the mutants in the cages is basically a gateway implementation for mutants introduced in canon tottmnt when it comes out
the reason the turtles turtle-piled in 'is mutant a heritage' is because it became a coping mechanism for them after the previous episode
and last but not least for the finale (and spoiler tidbit for s2):

I debated on doing this but then I realized that fuck it, this is my blog and I can do what I want. So since I've been listening to their albums nonstop for a few months here it is, my top 13 favorite Ice Nine Kills songs. I'm only doing songs from The Silver Scream/Welcome to Horrorwood because those are the two albums I love. And why 13? It's the number of tracks listed in Opening Night and also who cares. The first three won't have videos because of the stupid 10 video limit, but I will include the link to them regardless because Ice Nine Kills's music videos are so worth the watch.
13. Funeral Derangements
This is one of the more thrash metal songs that appears in the two albums, so I was surprised that I liked this as much as I do since I'm usually not a thrash guy. I think the chorus and bridges really help mellow out the heavier vocals in this song, which definitely helps make the song more appealing to those like me who tend to get a headache from thrash (no hate to thrash metal in general, it's just not personally my thing).
12: Rainy Day
I won't lie I started out not liking this song. I think it was the fact that it starts off in more of a major key than the minor key I was expecting, but after listening to it more it's definitely grown on me. I'm a big fan of that bass line and the very obvious reference to the Umbrella Corporation in the song's opening lines always gets a chuckle out of me. It's one of the "lighter" songs I guess you could call it in the list, but that's honestly a really nice change of tone.
11. Assault & Batteries
Another song I didn't like the first time I listened to it but has since grown on me a lot. It probably helps that I'm a huge Child's Play fan and Spencer's fuckin doll walk in this music video is hysterical. The song's got a sick guitar riff and honestly the bass backing the first set of lyrics is one of my favorites out of any of the songs on the list. I won't lie, I was a bit disappointed with some of the lyrics especially in the beginning of the song, but some of the later bits such as the harder to catch references to Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky were nice, as well as the inclusion of the chant.
10. Ex-Mørtis
youtube
This was actually the first INK song I ever listened to. I adore The Evil Dead, so that just adds to the special sentiments I have about this song. Although since listening to more INK, I've found songs I enjoy more, I still really like this song especially when the boomstick shots kick in. I also love the little bits of piano hidden throughout the song, such as before the second verse.
9. A Rash Decision
youtube
I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised the first time I listened to this song because out of all the things, I did not expect the fucking backing ska riffs. I love ska and that first clean ska guitar bit is just so good. It helps to give the song the kind a bounce that you can only really get with ska, but it doesn't completely overpower the song with them. It's a nice medley of two almost completely different genres and I honestly wish there were more songs like this.
8. The Shower Scene
youtube
This song has some of the best vocals in my opinion, with drums and guitar that accompany in the chorus just beautifully. It's not as heavy has some of the other songs with its drops, but I think that works perfectly with the song's tribute to Psycho, which I believe is the oldest film in the Silver Scream/Horrorwood series. It's more "subtle" for lack of a better word and is a great refresher for listeners as it adds a feel of variety.
7. Welcome to Horrorwood
youtube
It would be a crime to not include this song in the lineup. The beginning is absolutely stellar, and the fact that the song manages to keep that steam all throughout without ever dropping off is a testament to how good it really is. This song perfectly sums up the entire feel of the album that shares it's name, and I personally believe it's a great introduction to the band in general. The lyrics are clever (but then again almost every song has great lyrics) and it's just such a great listen. And although I wasn't going to mention the music videos as not all songs have one and I didn't want them to have a disadvantage due to that factor, honestly the music video for this song is my favorite out of all of the others. I honestly think it speaks for itself.
6. Merry Axe-Mas
youtube
Oh my god the drums in this song I mean holy shit. They go so hard and are honestly my favorite thing in the entire song right next to the "Garbage Day!" line. The fact that a song about Silent Night, Deadly Night manages to be this good is amazing; I never would have believed it. Once again, this song leans more to the thrash side of metal, but the chorus gives the intensity a nice break without completely breaking the pacing or tone of the song.
5. Hip to be Scared
youtube
This song has some absolutely fantastic changes in pace such as the transition from the chorus to the next verse, going from a nice steady pacing to an almost frantic one. And of course the inclusion of the "Hip to be Square" guitar along with a fantastic parody monologue about the band's discography is just so cheeky I love it. The fact that Jacoby Shaddix of motherfucking Papa Roach is also there to give some great vocal accompaniment is just an added bonus on top of an already stellar song.
4. Thank God It's Friday
youtube
This song, although not my favorite of Spencer's vocals (that'll come later), does the best of showing this man's vocal range. His scream of "when mother whispers" right before the chorus is genuinely so impressive to me. The deepness in his voice during the first verse in contrast to his voice during the chorus is absolutely fantastic and it's almost hard to believe that it's the same person. The violin before the final chorus is magestic, and the reference to the end of the first Friday the 13th film with the orchestral fakeout before jumpscaring you with a final "Ki-Ki-Ki, Ma-Ma-Ma" is a 10/10.
3. The American Nightmare
youtube
I'm an absolute sucker for the old-timey voice in the opening, and that coupled with that motif from A Nightmare on Elm Street is just a perfect way to set the mood. The backing behind "They all think it's just pretend | You'll never ever sleep again | All your friends are fucking dead" is so goddamn good, and it reminds me so much of the music present in those classic slashers which I'm sure was the intention. I think out of all of INK's penchant for clever lyrics, this song has one of the best examples of it, particularly in the first few verses.
2. A Grave Mistake
youtube
A Grave Mistake is genuinely so, so close to being my number one INK song, but just because it's second on the list doesn't make it any less of a masterpiece. This song coupled with a recommendation from a friend actually got me to watch The Crow, which this song is a tribute to, and holy fuck it captures the grungy gothic feel of the film so perfectly. I ADORE how orchestral it feels and that piano at the end deadass gives me chills. This song has probably my favorite display of Spencer's vocals out of all of the other songs; the bridge before the final chorus is absolutely beautiful and honestly so is the rest of the performance.
And finally 1. IT Is The End
youtube
I don't think it's surprising that this song was my number one, I mean it has everything. The opening is a beautiful blend of orchestra and carnival with more incredible vocal range from Spencer, and then it drops you off the deep end with a clown horn and a flurry of guitar and drums. The use of brass and saxophone in the back especially at the chorus is just plain fun and the entire song never fails to get me bouncing and headbanging along. IT Is The End is the absolute perfect closing song for The Silver Scream and absolutely deserves the attention, along with all of the other Ice Nine Kills songs I both have and haven't mentioned.
#if you love horror movies and metal music please go give Ice Nine Kills a listen#they're fucking fantastic#ice nine kills#meso's musings#Youtube

Seamless song splices, starring: Horton Hears A Who, and Prince of Egypt
Because if there's one thing I can't stand, it's random pops, clicks, and stutters between my music tracks, and after downloading and listening to at least five different releases of these albums to find that a whole entire none of them were actually seamless, I took it upon myself to do some quick(ish) audio editing. Here are the fruits of my labors!
I'll start with Horton Hears A Who, because John Powell is a musical superwizard and it is a Fucking Crime what they did to his work. (Seriously, look at this shit. That is the actual official soundtrack. Who approved this and where do I go to slap them?)
First, what I've titled as Opening Suite, which includes 'Fall From Tree', 'Cave of Destiny', and 'Jungle of Nool'. Because for some reason, as you can see from the soundtrack listing, whoever put the album together thought that splitting a two and a half minute song into three separate tiny chunks was a good idea. Now, I think we can all agree that they were abhorrently wrong, but rest assured that I have taken the time to correct that wrong.
Speaking of (far more horrific) wrongs, they also decided to chop this epic climactic masterpiece into four pieces! I have courteously rectified their music crimes, and titled the result as 'We Are Here!', given the whole story's theme and all (not to mention how those are the only words in the entire piece). This song includes 'Roping and Caging', 'We Are Here', 'Symphonophone', and 'Jojo Saves The Day'.
A similar wrong comes next, although it's at least somewhat more reasonable this time around. I've titled it A Big Ending, partially because it's the official title of the last of the three included songs, but also because...well, put all together, it is a really big ending. The first song is 'Hall of Mayors' (which briefly has How to Train Your Dragon vibes, in my opinion), while the middle and veritable bulk is taken up by 'Horton Suite' (i.e. the ending credits song - hence why it's so fucking long). 'Horton Suite' clocks in at nearly seven whole minutes, and is comprised of some very Suessical music that is worth every last second, and I don't care what anyone else says about that, I am Objectively Correct here.
With Horton Hears A Who out of the way, we come next to Prince of Egypt, which was similarly but at least less egregiously butchered. (Cuz I mean...at least 'Deliver Us' didn't get snipped up, right?)
First, Rally and The Plagues. I really only did this one because I wanted to listen to 'The Plagues', but hated how it didn't start cleanly. So, nothing much else to say about this one. Instead, I will take the time here to say that all four of the splices so far were easy-peasy - just a quick copy-paste and a cut of empty air between the waveforms of each file. The last one, though...
The last, and most important is When You Believe and The Red Sea, because 'When You Believe' just cuts off at the end, mid-note no less, which is clearly unacceptable to anyone with both ears and good taste. This splice...was significantly harder. It actively refused to splice clean in the same way as the prior works, up until I finally said 'fuck it', selected more than just empty air, made sure that the selection's ends were on the zero-crossing, and chopped away. BOOM. Clean splice, and - to my ear, at least - undetectable. I'm pretty pleased with it! If nothing else, I can finally listen to it without wincing at the very brief stutter between songs. (Granted, I'm not too jazzed about 'The Red Sea', but it does have some cool parts, and if nothing else, it ends nice and clean~)
Also, yes, I made those last two splices instead of sleeping, and then proceeded to make this post about all my audio editing nonsense instead of sleeping. Clearly, sharing the fruits of my labor is more important, both to me and hopefully to the other audiophiles out there who listened to these albums and also hated what was done to them. :)
(By the way, have a clean splice of 'The End.' and 'Dead!' by My Chemical Romance, too. Just for funzies.)
GOOD NIGHT!!!
#music#mp3#Horton Hears A Who#Prince of Egypt#My Chemical Romance#Blue Sky Studios#Dreamworks#MCR#audio edit#(I am still a beginning editor - keep that in mind if you're better at it and can hear my splices plz XD)

Isn't it odd Symphogear didn't get any normal length OAV or movie made, or even on the merch side more nendo or nendo petit made considering how popular it was in Japan? I know the fear was real with prods and manus during the first two seasons because they thought it was a fail project and didn't want to invest but after five seasons and five concerts? I don't know I feel like I'm missing data on why we were given the short stick compared to other popular animes...
Ah, I never really felt like that when it comes to the series (except for figures, but I get to that later in the post. I went on a bit of a tangent and it ended up longer than intended. Oops)
Five whole seasons
Four series of shorts
Enough character songs to have a box of 9 CDs released (doesn't include XDU songs)
Concerts that get released on blu-ray since G's (this one just feels like a bigger deal to me because season 1's in 2012 never got recorded or released)
A mobile game that's been running for 6 years and gets its own albums separate from the aforementioned box (there was another mobile game a decade ago that died pretty fast but nobody remembers that one, shhh...)
And a monthly spinoff manga that has enough content for four volumes so far
...All feels like a miracle to me, especially for an anime not based on an existing manga, game, or light novel
Seriously, I love this series but I have no idea how G was greenlit
I'm still waiting to see what the new project is because there's still a possibility that it could be a movie or something. I just don't expect it anytime soon, whether it be a movie or an OVA, because Kaneko (co-creator and scenario writer for the series) is busy both designing and writing a RPG which he stated was something he wanted to do while not working on Symphogear since he was too busy to work on games while he was doing that (link is Japanese, but it's the interview where he said that)
Which, again, is probably why the new project is dated 20XX
Now if I were to talk about stuff I personally would want?
If it's a movie I'd like it to be completely new content but if they make some lengthier OVAs, I've been asking for an adaptation of 3.5 from XDU for a while since the Alexandria Incident gets mentioned in AXZ.
XDU's service isn't going to last forever and I'd hate to lose a canon side story like that when it does eventually end.
They could also do 4.5 but it isn't as high a priority for me because it serves more as an introduction to Noble Red than anything and outside of the short part between Fine and Enki, it felt weird coming out after XV ended
On a bit of a side note, I've said it before, but I wouldn't be too surprised if any new anime content is by Studio KAI instead of Satelight. A LOT of Symphogear's staff moved over there after XV ended which is why XDU's second OP was done by them.
youtube
Now merchandise, oh boy, yeah that subject has stung a bit over the years. The fact the only Nendos are from S1 really is sad
They want their friends to join them
Heck, Chris didn't even get a Figma back then like Hibiki and Tsubasa did
I can't believe it took as long as it did for Kirika, Shirabe, and Maria to get figures. Especially Maria, who didn't have one released until 2022.
And it is an actual crime that Miku still doesn't have one despite being around since season 1. That is Hibiki's Wife Sunshine y'all are ignoring. (Season 1 Miku with green hair when? 🤣)
Hobby Stock's set of scale figures they've been releasing and Good Smile's ACT MODEs are a step in the right direction though. There's also been more plushes in recent years which I personally really love.
One of my wishes is someone going back to G and making figures for that so we can get Black Gungnir Maria or Shenshoujing Gear Miku
The parallel world versions of everyone from XDU would be fun too but I'm not pushing my luck there. The other Hibiki technically already has one but it used an existing Hibiki figure as a base
And yes, I am begging for a game that isn't gacha. I'm a lover of action games and RPGs so I would love something along those lines. I'm not horribly picky about the specific type

september ‘04, cont.— um, it's kind of a lot
“Well, I have some news. It’s good news for me, but I think maybe mortifying for you.” Nadia grinned, cross legged in bed with a large book in her lap, “I have unearthed an archaeological artifact, courtesy of your mom.”
Jeremy groaned in faux anguish and sat down beside her. It was a photo album, probably filled with various outtake pictures of his youth that his mom didn’t have room to include in her primary album.
Nadia opened it up and immediately started laughing. There was a blurry picture of a newborn baby with adult sized sunglasses positioned on his tiny face, followed by more baby pictures of a similar ilk.
One photo, dated October ‘88, starred a small child wearing a ghostbusters jumpsuit.
Nadia pointed at the kid, “Oh my god, is that you?”
“Nope.” Jeremy guided her finger over to the child situated in the background dressed as a white-sheet ghost, “That’s me.”
“Wait, then…”
“My sister. I was kinda camera shy, so I always got her to stand in front of me for these types of pics.”
Nadia snorted, “Was? You slapped my camera into the lake last time I tried taking a picture of you.”
“You were being sneaky. You spooked me.”
“You’re right, next time I'll hold out a handful of sugar cubes and say ‘easy there’ like you're a horse that saw a scary twig.”
The next page had some pictures of a fishing trip. Nadia paused, frowning.
“Are you crying in this one?”
“Oh… Yeah, I-I didn't realize that in order to cook and eat the fish we also had to kill it. Um, coincidentally, this is also when I lost interest in fishing.”
They continued flipping through the pages.
“... What’s your sister’s name? You didn't say.”
“Charlie. We were pretty close back in the day.”
“Not anymore?”
“We-we um, we haven't really been in touch, given she… Died. Almost ten years ago.”
“Oh…”
Ten years. He began double checking the math in his head, before the train of thought derailed into a pile of blurry, dateless snapshots—questions like ‘do any of these men look like the one you saw that night?’ presented with a lineup of nondescript mugshots he couldn't tell apart, ‘worry tracker’ worksheets, the escalation from school counselors to therapists to adolescent psychopharmacologists, the de-escalation from policemen to detectives to amateur true crime enthusiasts— all of it at once, tangled in a cat's cradle.
Nadia set aside the album and stood up, “We’ll come back to that one. Go take a shower, you smell like job.”
It was true. Freddy’s had that typical unfamiliar place smell, combined with something kind of bitter and industrial, that clung to his clothes. Another wave of dread washed over him just thinking about his shift. If he had a scrapbook of bad first impressions, sleeping through his shift and acting like a complete basket case in front of his supervisor immediately after would need to have its own 2-page spread.
“I’m hearing a lot of silence and not a lot of getting in the wet-box!” Nadia called from the kitchen.
Jeremy took a breath and attempted to reel his focus back to the present. He got up, trying to itemize what needed to be done as he dug through the suitcase of clothes he hadn’t remembered to put away. After showering, he would need to eat, then phone his mom and try to get some actual rest. Alternatively, he could try to figure out where the fabled washer and drier unit was in the apartment.
The buttons on the light purple dress shirt he’d been given as a uniform were stiff and difficult- or maybe they were normal, and Jeremy’s fingers were still a bit jittery. Probably both.
He tried not to get into staring in the mirror. Although, he remembered last week one of Nadia’s new friends admitted she thought he was a butch lesbian when she first saw him, which was oddly comforting. It stuck in his head and gave a nice little rush whenever he had to look at himself- butches were cool, he thought. They performed machismo with grace.
Today was a hot shower day, Jeremy decided. He deserved a treat.

hi hi :) wanted to give you a quick update that I finally watched American Psycho tonite!!
I actually liked and adore this movie thoroughly! I will say though, even though it was said to be a comedy/horror movie, I mostly liked the horror but didn't quite laugh at the comedy sadly :/. It was still a great watch tho, ngl! /pos /gen My main interest is that I love how ambiguous it is on whether or not Patrick's crimes he committed were real or not--and I love those kinds of movies/episodes where it makes you think and theorize on the story itself and the ending.
Also, uh, oof. Next to Billy Loomis, I LITERALLY wanna get down on one knee and propose Bateman to be my malewife--he's fricking hot no joke abt that. And I also love how he narrates in the movie about his thoughts and feelings and whatnot including his knowledge on music and albums--plus as a fanfic writer, it kinda helps me with his character development and scripting.
Overall, I enjoyed this lil' thriller movie you recommended me, mikey! I'd give it a fair 8/10--knowing you at most, you'd probably give it a 100/10 lol.
AW NICE DUDE im glad u liked it!!! i also love how like… nebulous and liminal the reality of the movie is!!! its funny that you mostly like it for the horror, cause i mostly like it for the weird absurdist comedy ALTHOUGH. the horror also fucks obvs. hey paul is iconic for a reason.
honestly id probably rate it 8.5-9/10 because i gotta keep space at the top for fight club and zero day and rushmore. but i do love it so crazy much

7. David Guetta ft. Bebe Rexha - I'm Good (Blue)
youtube
I'm glad we got this out of the way first because I actually didn't realize that this was a controversial take (it's not; it topped charts in 20 countries). I have had two coworkers in the past week press me on this, including one who said, "so, when you're walking to work, you just think to yourself, 'I want to listen to I'm Good (Blue) by David Guetta?'" To which I said, yes, definitely, that's exactly the point, so I don't kill myself on the way there. And then the next day I had that exact thought and listened to it.
Even if that hadn't happened, I probably would have evangelized this song. I think the original is wonderful, and I'm glad it exists! This makes it easier to play in a party context, and it matches the lyrical content to what has always been the "feel" of the song. It also kicked off an unreasonable amount of pop songs trying to do what it did, which is impossible, because Blue (Da Ba Dee) is probably the only song which could be adapted for the better (or even neutral) in this way. It's just such a weird song. I like this version! Now the rest of the post goes under a readmore for my crimes.
23. Terror Jr. - Come First
youtube
I got my own, don't need to roll me a blunt Don't ask me questions like you care if I'm dumb (Oh?) Take my treasure in your hands Better get with the program I'll let you stay if you do something I like
Does anyone remember in 2016 when this random band emerged and people started speculating that the lead singer was Kylie Jenner? It wasn't, and that seems to have ended popular interest, but the songs were genuinely fun and bright, and I missed listening to this one. I love how the singer enunciates and the little "whoop"s, and the production seems to predict my later love for SOPHIE, whom I hadn't even heard of at the time. This was a good year for diving into my old obsessions.
P. S. This is why my mother is set at "Terror Sr." in my phone.
69. Olivia Rodrigo - vampire
youtube
You said it was true love, but wouldn't that be hard? You can't love anyone, 'cause that would mean you had a heart I tried you help you out, now I know that I can't 'Cause how you think's the kind of thing I'll never understand
Rodrigo is the new TSwift in many ways-- a young up-and-comer sold on her relatability and simple lyrics about betrayal by demonic ex-boyfriends-- and I am loving it. There's not much to say on this track that hasn't already been said a hundred times better; it's just plain a good song and GUTS was a very fun album.
send a number from 1-112 and I'll give you a song from my "looped in 2023" playlist!

RI WHATS YOUR TOP3 ALBUM OF BTS ?! i desperately wanna know
THIS ASK IS FREAKING EVIL WHAT THE HELL???????? (love it though thank you) uaghghghhhhhh including solo albums as well would tear me to pieces, so i'll stick to group albums. (also i'm listening to born singer as i read this and trying not to sobbbb)
honestly. love yourself 轉 tear is absolutely incredible. like. actually. every single song is an absolute banger. not to mention, the first album (not just bts) i ever received. but ly: her gives me insane nostalgia as well bc it was the album that released around the time i joined the fandom, even though i'd listened to bs&t and save me and stuff before that. AND IT'S SO UNDERRATED!!!!! the summer vibes are immaculate give my girl her props!! the entire ly series is insaneeee but i'm gonna choose love yourself: tear. even though it's tearing me apart wth
of the hyyh albums, young forever seems like the best choice bc it compiles some of the best songs (though i hate that a couple get left behind ;_;) and!! it has young forever (the song) aka the song that makes me wanna live and die every time i hear it. plus butterfly prologue mix and house of cards full length edition. they did not have. to do that. ;_; overall the vibes of the hyyh albums are freaking UNMATCHED. nothing ever can touch them tbh. i remember listening to baepsae, dope, and fire back to back when i first got into them haha, and then discovering the rest was... an experience. my soul leaves my body listening to hyyh to this day
they just. they have so many amazing albums. not at least mentioning the map of the soul albums, wings/you never walk alone, dark & wild, be, and the japanese albums feels like a crime. but listen. we've gotta go back to the start for the last pick. skool luv affair. back-to-back bangers. just. woah. those seven kids did not have to go that hard. like. just one day? tomorrow? spinebreaker? but also!!!! o!rul8,2? ;;;____;;;; we on, if i ruled the world, coffee, attack on bangtan????????? 2 cool 4 skool is also full of bangers tbh but it only includes three fully-fledged songs so.. but i cannot choose between skool luv affair and o!rul8,2? just. the kids they were back then deserved so much more than they got. so much more. the industry failed them so badly. i will choke with my own hands every exec who had a hand in (actively or not) holding them back when they were that good and should have been recognised. the sheer hatred i feel towards everyone who screwed them over (and continues to screw them over) cannot be put into words
tl;dr: love yourself 轉 tear, the most beautiful moment in life: young forever, skool luv affair/o!rul8,2?
basically i am feral and this isn't even a ranking, really, just me screaming and crying about their albums bc they're ALL good and that fact makes me AHHHHHH. i'm so freaking happy bts exists. that they found each other. also i'm catching up with new releases after taking a break from bangtan, and the solo albums are so good??????? I'M LOSING IT THEY'RE SO GOODDDDDDD AJFJDKSFMDSKMFD i just need a jin solo album now please please pleaseeeeeeeee ofc if he doesn't want to work on music the instant he comes back from the army, i fully support that!!! i would cherish a full album though... the astronaut awakened feelings i didn't know i had within me and i .
#uaghghghgh#thank you for the ask beloved#i hate a terribly :D great time#ginkgo-shaw#bangtan sonyeondan#askbox#mine

𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐎 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐄 !
first and foremost, mona is a girls girl. she is your best friend, your sister and she will be first in line to sacrifice herself for you, and she'll do it out of love. everything she does is in the name of love, whether the concept itself or for the people she loves. she's very much the embodiment of finding strength in tenderness, of love as not only romantic but also platonic and as an act of selflessness. a lot of my inspiration for her comes from julie harris' aphrodite (which is fitting, considering venus is her roman counterpart), particularly the line "unlike other olympians, (she) is never distracted from her duties. her work is her pleasure, her hobby. she thinks of nothing but love, and nobody expects more of her." mona knows who she is supposed to be and has fully embraced it. at least for the time being.
was living in london before waking up in evermore and that is where she consolidated her 'sailor v' persona and built her reputation. half of the authorities loved her, the other half hated her and the bad guys hated her even more, though it's mainly because she was actually doing a better job than the people in charge. it was truly her vigilante sh*t era.
SHE IS ROOTING FOR YOU !! SHE'S YOUR BIGGEST FAN !!!! mona is very much that one person who just met you but already hopes you'll achieve all of your goals and that all your dreams will come true ! she'll do whatever she can to help you get there ♡
talks a lot most of the time. like, seriously, but i think it's because she's been alone for most of her life (at least until artemis showed up) and now that she knows her purpose, she wants to get out there and find the other senshi.
when mona was thirteen, the boy she had a crush on told her she should wear a big red ribbon on her hair, because it'd look perfect on her. she's been wearing her hair like that ever since.
like the other senshi and their planets, she is basically the personification of venus / the goddess associated with it. and because venus' composition is said to be similar to the earth's, she feels even more responsible both for protecting not just the moon and their princess but also the earth.
on a similar note, she will absolutely take advantage of her title to give relationship advice and play matchmaker. girly is a big romantic despite having been cursed to never find love.
kinda didn't want to be a champion of justice at first because it's not like she's getting paid for it. rip
feels the biggest amount of guilt for what happened in their previous incarnation, which is also one of the reasons why she is so devoted to her duty as a sailor guardian. she *needs* to make things right this time around.
keeping with tradition, she hasn’t really revealed herself as the host of the v podcast either. i think girly is too comfortable keeping it private for now, especially since she hasn't found the other senshi yet.
has a big, big rose quartz collection. very much lives by the notion that one can never have too much rose quartz! if you’re feeling sad, she’ll do her best to cheer you up with your favorite meal, movie/show and a pretty rose quartz, probably carved ♡ she also loves pearls and pearl jewelry!
as the guardian of beauty, more specifically things that are universally pleasing to the eye, mona is Huge on beautifully decorated spaces and just aesthetics in general. she also has a knack for collecting those dainty teacups with delicate drawings on them! that being said, she’s also a major advocate of finding beauty in Everything, even in difficult situations. beauty is about the essence, not the vessel!
she's been doing the whole sailor guardian thing for a while now, a little over a year, and she's been doing it on her own (with the exception of artemis, her guardian/cat). these past few years have also been her loneliest.
i think. mona has never taken the time to grieve the loss of the girl she was before becoming sailor v, and it got even worse after she remembered her past as venus. she simply doesn’t have the time to think about the life she could have had, she has a duty and that is more important than anything she could’ve become … or so she tells herself.
as i mentioned before, mona is doomed to never find love, having been sort of cursed by one of her planet's own soldiers. she’ll always put something/someone else before it, mainly the moon princess, the other senshi and her duty.
HOWEVER, that doesn’t stop her from crushing on people regularly and having the occasional hook up. she really is a romantic little baby and will take what she can get, even if it’s not real real love. what a bittersweet girlie. oh, and she doesn’t believe in heterosexuality sorry ♡
terrible with sayings , she always messes them up or uses them in the wrong context . girlie is trying her best !
an extremely athletic girlie and an incredible gymnast! would rather climb up walls and jump through windows than use the actual door.
her bday is on october 22nd, making her a libra! i very much think she has taurus placements though, either moon or rising.

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE SUN HOMIE.
You drew the lads listening to In This Moment on a walkman? The Official Misfits AU playlist includes Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains? Various songs I personally associated with your Silvers? You even took the time to share my playlist with other people???
I am touched. Thank you!
I've added your playlist to my library so I can start diving in and listening to the songs I don't recognize. I'm hella excited, I've been needing new music and I . Since you liked Johnny Hobo let me tell you about a band that I wanted to add but couldn't find on Spotify: Blackbird Raum. "Cities" is probably my favorite song by them. Also, on spotify, but I couldn't think of a song that would fit the playlist right off the top of my head, is the band Mischief Brew. OOH and you may like Dangerkids since they took inspiration from Linkin Park.
I'm glad you liked Escape the Fate, I'm surprised you never heard of them given they were rather popular in the late 2000's into roughly the 2010's. Basically the tail-end of the Scene kids era. Another related band to look into is Falling in Reverse. Long story short, EtF's original vocalist, Ronnie Radke got kicked out of the band when he went to jail. He was replaced by Craig Mabbitt who had recently been kicked out of Blessthefall. When Ronnie got out, and didn't get his spot back in EtF, he created Falling in Reverse. There's beef there, but I'm here for music, not drama.
My Darkest Days never got big and it's a fucking crime. While they were founded in 2005, they didn't gain traction until they signed on to Chad Kroeger's record label and started opening for Nickelback between 2010 and 2012. They disbanded when their vocalist Matt Walst, brother of Three Days Grace's bassist Brad Walst, took Adam Gontier's position in 2012-2013.

Heh, “Official” makes it sound so OFFICIAL, these are just my headcanons after all. Whore is def a Gold song to me.
There isn’t much as of now, but I’ll keep adding onto it.
Again, thanks for the recs! Blackbird Raum is a bit too folksy for my taste, but I’ll be checking out more of Mischief Brew and Dangerkids. Not sure how I’ve missed Escape the Fate either tbh, but could’ve just been the timing. Around 2008 I moved from emo/alternative onto punk and ska, so I quit following the new releases. Come to think of it, I haven't listened to a single Three Days Grace album since One-X (2006), despite really liking the band. Time to uh… catch up.
Upd as I got done writing this: actually that’s not true, just found a song from their 2015 album in the AWSB playlist, but got no memory of anything else. Guess 2006 is just the best.
Anyways, Escape the Fate and Falling in Reverse must’ve fallen through the cracks somewhere around there at the end of the decade, as well as My Darkest Days. Happy to have discovered them now!
There’s a bunch of stuff that’s not on spotify, namely more obscure/regional bands. It’s a shame when they’re not even on youtube. There was this shitty punk band called Big Dildos from my hometown - the lyrics were dumb, the sound was shit, but the shows were always a blast. Now I can find them pretty much nowhere, but my hard drive. Same old, same old everywhere.
Out of the bands that didn’t make it into the playlist but I like the sound of I'd say - Chevelle, Coheed and Cambria. Altho the latter can get too concept-album’y to go into any playlist other than their own.
I also discovered this sweet channel dedicated to the UK82 era recently. Some of those are on Spotify, but some remain solely as demos. Digging it immensely.
That Walkman is 100% stolen.
