2, 9, and 20 for your wotr asks!
Thank you for your questions!! Going to answer for Raphaël, Lazare and Ziel. WARNING big spoilers ahead.
How do they feel about Areelu Vorlesh?
Raphaël : Hate, anger and wrath for like 99% of the game, then there's that 1% of understanding and compassion that comes in and messes with him badly. The fact that a tragedy so human it's almost ironic is the root of it all really helps to make him see Areelu as nothing more than a desperate mother ready to burn the world to repair an injustice. He doesn't see Areelu like the legendary mad half-demon scientist everyone sees her like, but like a woman, a mother, that made all the wrong choices, and persisted in her grief-driven madness.
Lazare : Lazare struggled to understand Areelu's plan during the whole crusade. When he learns the truth, he can't help but feel intrigued, almost wanting to ask her questions. But in general, he just feels... Really sad about her. For her. While he's still resentful for all she did, he can't help but wants to help her finally grief and... Just let it go. Trying to comfort her in his own weird ways, hoping she'll see things clearly again.
Ziel : Ziel's run is still in progress but here are my current thoughts about it! (Ziel is normally from Absalom, but for WoTR I changed it to Kenabres as it's really interesting for him) Knowing he's just the result of Areelu's experiment really breaks his heart in some weird, peculiar way. Ziel has always struggled to relate to his family, his parents, feeling he had been a disappointment since his birth and just a creature too weird for his parents to love. Which is true for his mother (she more or less abandons him when he's around 12), but not for his father, it's just that they are both atrocious at communicating and thinks they hate each other when it's the contrary. Learning that he's, in a way, Areelu's son is hard on him, because there's not just that. I'm still writing/trying to settle things about him, but basically he's the results of some weird-ass experiment on the influence of demonic blood on mortal, something that happened before he was even born, but yeah. It's a lot for someone who's kind of desperate to get close to his dad. Parts of him can't help but feel like his mother's rejection is legitimate as he's barely her son anyway. He also terrified of his father learning the truth, fearing the man will also abandon him knowing the truth. So yeah. He's resentful of Areelu in a very personal way.
Do they have hobbies beside the crusade? Any passions or skills they have?
Raphaël : wdym crusading isn't a hobby Raphaël has unfortunately not that much time for hobbies. He's the kind of man to even work during his free time because he really can't put his mind at peace. However, he loves dancing. That's something he started kind of naturally among other Sarenites, and of course, dancing with his scimitars is a must. He's very talented (I don't care about his 5/7 charisma, he HAS to be talented with his insane dexterity) and is always glad to dance for any important event, whether they're religious or not. While dancing while dual wielding is his thing, he's still good at more "common" type of dancing. Post crusade, he'll even teach Sosiel happily (and Sosiel will teach him painting but that won't lead to any improvement oops).
Oh, and he will never say no to a walk in nature. That's peaceful and refreshing, and despite the appearance, he'd be very glad to have his little walks with a friend by his side.
Lazare : Answered there for the little blueberry!
Ziel : Ziel is ALSO a bard (and a thief, and some kind of self-taught wizard), so of course music is important to him. His style is however SO different from Lazare's cheerful and heartfelt folk songs as he's writing songs that are way more personal, often very grim, dark and tragic, but not without a touch of sarcasm and dark humour. Singing and playing the lute are two of his passion, but it's really in lyrics writing that he shines and feels right at home. He's also into poetry as well, having his own diary filled with poems no one ever read (yet).
Having been part of thief gangs since his teenage years, Ziel also loves playing all type of games, but it's of course funnier if he cheats. In one of his gang, cheating was so prevalent they played together knowing everyone will cheat and the game was more trying to caught the others red handed while avoiding suspicion.
Which event of the crusade traumatized them?
Raphaël : Probably the most prepared of all my KCs for the whole crusade, Raphaël KNEW what was to be expected. He was hard to traumatized in a way. He had been an active Inquisitors for close to a decade a that point, and while it's nowhere near Hulrun and some, it's still a good amount of time to know what demons are capable of.
Murders, rituals, tortures, while it's always excruciatingly awful to witness them... He knew it was bound to happen at some point. The Fleshmarket had to be one the most disgusting things he ever witnesses... But still. It wasn't surprising in a way. He was mentally prepared for that kind of things.
Not exactly traumatized but something that really did anger him was the whole Latverk quest. Pretending to save his fellow aasimars while doing such horrendous things behind his mask of virtue and selflessness really did provoke Raphaël into levels of Anger rarely seen even for him.
However, Raphaël was in fact more traumatized by 1. the crusade as a whole 2. the whole cosmic and divine aspect of it.
As much as he's prepared to face things individually, he faces them so much on a daily basis that settling back to a "normal" life post crusade is impossible for him. Almost if the absence of abyssal horrors is not normal.
Something he however never expected was having to deal with divinities, entities and powers well beyond his comprehension. Despite being very faithful, he's a very down-to-earth man, and while he was prepared to serve the crusade as your regular inquisitor (tm), he wasn't expecting at all... Well, the rest. His link with Areelu, getting to meet Iomedae (now he's just a bit disappointed it wasn't Sarenrae), to slay demon lords, to get to understand the WorldWound that much. It's still A LOT on his mind, and he'd... Rather not think too much about it for his own sanity.
Lazare : Lazare kind of enrolled in the crusade while being not that much prepared. Despite his naivety, he knew he was in to see some fucked up shit, but the more it goes, the more he struggles. The whole attack on Kenabres? Yeah. Terrifying, horrible, but it's a war. Alright. Lost Chapel? The torture made him throw up quite a few time, literally. The Abyss? Yeah... No. Here he kind of breaks down. Having to navigate the whole plane with so much weight on his shoulders and so much uncertainty was too much for him. He broke down in the nexus crying, unable to calm down, just repeating that he can't do it, and that it's just too much. That he's just himself, and that won't be enough.
Ziel : Unless it's very personnal issues, Ziel is actually quite resilient. Being pragmatic, pessimistic and kind of self centered when it comes to survival actually saved his sanity as a whole. For the moment, he's doing alright in act 2. Yeah, things are dirty, but so far it's nothing too surprising.
I'm sure he's traumatized by having become the Commander though like what the actuak fuck. That's like naming Woljif Knight-Commander lol can you imagine (@dujour13 ily).
However, as a tiefling that is considerably more off-putting than your average one, actually going in the Abyss will be traumatizing for him. It can't be any other way. Like a lot of his kin, he was curious yes without any answer about his origins. Both of his parents were Abadar faithful, with his father even being a cleric for quite a long time before being cast aside for alleged corruption. They really weren't the type of couple to be "at risk" for a tiefling birth, and Ziel's just... too much to just be some residual effect from the WorldWound. In The Abyss he'll come to learn who and what he really is, and that will break him down for a moment.

For the new 25 lore asks! ONE, THREE, & SIXTEEN for both!
Thank you so much for the ask! ❤️
ONE| Will your OC and their LI ever have kids? If yes, describe their children! Looks, personality, what traits they draw from which parent or whether they would adopt.
w/Julian: They have two kids: Nora and Rylen. They are 22 months apart from each other. Both of them have curly auburn hair like Julian, but they did inherit Azalea's premature greying. So they enchant their hair like their mother.
Nora (older)
Height: 6'
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: very long; curly auburn that fades into blonde. Hangs below her rear. Usually tied back into a loose ponytail.
Eyes: Royal Blue/Gold
Features: Has her father's impressive nose. Swimmer's build. Medium skin, like Azalea.
She wears a brown vest with gold trim and brown capri pants. She wears gold slip-on shoes. She likes to get into scrapes like Julian, but she is acrobatic like Azalea, so she can squiggle out of those scrapes with remarkable ease. She works at the local circus as a magician/acrobat.
Rylen (younger)
Height: 5'8"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short; slightly longer than his father's, hanging just below his ears. Curly auburn that fades into hunter green.
Eyes: Grey
Features: smaller, round nose like Azalea. Medium skin tone.
He is quiet and enjoys reading books. He wears loose-fitting shirts with either a slate blue vest or a deep green coat. He wears black pants and brown knee-high boots. He is actually quite impressive with magic, but like Azalea, he doesn't say much about it. He is training with his father to be a doctor.
w/Lucio: They also have two kids: Darien and Etoile. They are two years apart. They also inherit Azalea's greying hair, but they choose not to enchant it because they both like the blonde that fades into silver.
Darien (older)
Height: 5'9"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short; blonde roots that fade into silver at the ends. He lets it hang loose. (Think Masquerade Lucio)
Eyes: Royal Blue
Features: spitting image of Lucio, but has medium skin like Azalea. Wears glasses.
Darien is very humble like Azalea. He is the type who will get lost in a good book and look up to realize that he's spent a whole day reading. He also likes to play the drums. He usually wears a white button-up shirt with a lavender vest. The vest has various good-luck symbols stitched into the edges, and he wears a vervain boutonnière. He sports leaf-green pants and knee-high brown boots. He runs the magic shop when he is old enough, and acquires quite a few admirers who like to watch him mix potions through the shop windows. "Have you seen that boy who runs the shop?! He's so dreamy!!" He doesn't let it go to his head, though. He has eyes for only one girl...
Etoile (younger)
Height: 5'6"
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: Long; blonde roots that fade into silver at the ends. She usually has it swept back into a long braid.
Eyes: Royal Blue
Features: Etoile is a lovely mixture between Lucio and Azalea. She's got Lucio's face shape, but Azalea's nose and mouth.
She is headstrong, loud, proud, and bulletproof like her father. She can't stay cooped up in one place for very long. She has to go out and explore. She typically wears a white blouse covered with a black corset. She also sports a long black coat with gold embroidery, black pants, and black high-heeled thigh-high boots. She gets lots of attractive attention from others and relishes it.
She and Asra have three children: Celestia, Velian, and Aries (adopted).
Celestia (oldest)
Height: 5'7"
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: Long; curly and white like Asra with pink lowlights. Typically wears it loose, but also pins the sides back with barrettes.
Eyes: Red like Imalia
Features: Asra's face shape and nose, but Imalia's strong eyebrows and thinner mouth. Slight cleft in her chin. Olive skin tone like Asra.
Celestia also goes by "Lessie" or "Tia." Her facial features resemble Asra very strongly, but she has a strong jaw like Imalia. She is lively and extroverted. She is very open and honest, and very genuine. However, she has her mother's temper and can go from a fairy princess to pale-haired demon in a heartbeat. She likes to wear fashionable yet comfortable clothing. She typically wears a pink long-sleeved blouse with a powder blue bodice. She favors knee-length frilly skirts, usually in white or pale pink. She wears black slip-on shoes, but will also go barefoot a lot. She is the object of Darien/Rylen’s affections.
Velian (middle)
Height: 6'1"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short and curly like Asra, but light brown like Imalia. It stays messy, and that's how he likes it.
Eyes: Lavender like Asra.
Features: Velian is a big, broad guy. He takes after Imalia's father as far as his body. He has a strong jawline, high cheek bones, and a slightly upturned nose (like Imalia). Olive skin tone like his father, but slightly lighter.
He is a mad magical scientist like his mother, but respects magic and what it can do, good and bad. He loves to help Aisha and Salim with whatever they are working on at the moment and LOVES music. He is a tinkerer and enjoys creating new and unique musical instruments. He loves to create carnival-style musical instruments that require carts to be moved around. (think Wintergatan's Marble Machine). He also sports a lute that can double as a mace.
Aries (youngest; adopted)
Height: 5'4"
Pronouns: They/Them
Hair: Shoulder length; sleek black with white forelocks, usually tied into a low ponytail, or a wolf knot.
Eyes: Vivid green
Features: They have a long, slender face with shallow cheek-bones. They have a hawk nose and very full lips. Light skin tone.
Aries is dual-sexed; meaning all the parts. They were a Vesuvian orphan, but it was clear that they weren't born in Vesuvia. Imalia suspects that Aries has a more magical parentage, but it's very hard to tell exactly what (spoiler: they are half-fae). Aries is a child of nature and loves going on trips with their parents. Aries typically wears a very loose tunic that is half black and half white. They wear either black or brown pants with ankle-high brown shoes. Etoile doesn’t want to admit it, but she is fascinated by Aries and wants to get much closer to them.
THREE| Does your apprentice have a close bond with one of the Major Arcana spirits? Which one? What about that Major Arcana drew your character to them or drew them to your character?
The Fool. She was a well of endless possibility and potential. She wasn't afraid to try new things, she had an innocent nature to her, and was quite creative in her magic use. She was a beacon in the Magical Realms, and The Fool loved interacting with her. When the deal was made to give her The Fool's body, The Fool actually agreed wholeheartedly. All that beauty and innocence and talent needed to continue on.
The Empress. Imalia's family has always been vehement about continuing their bloodline because the family has been full of exceptional magic users for hundreds of years. Even though Imalia herself became quite annoyed and at times even resentful of this, there was always a part of her that desperately wanted to be a mother. She loved the bond she had shared with her father. She wanted that kind of bond with her own children. She was already a rather maternal person since she got true joy and pleasure out of teaching others and nurturing their minds. She rarely interacts with The Empress herself, but there are times she hears her voice.
SIXTEEN| Where do your apprentice and their LI live? What is their home like? Big? Small? Who did the decorating?
w/Julian: They live in the magic shop until they have Nora. Then they upgrade to a nicer two-story house across the canal in the Center City. It's well-lit with plenty of windows and gauzy curtains. There are three bedrooms (the already knew they were going to have another child), two bathrooms, a large kitchen, a living/sitting room, and two studies; one for Azalea and her magic, and one for Julian and his medicine. There is also a playroom for Nora and Rylen, which eventually becomes Rylen's study. On the second floor there is a small balcony that doubles as a herb garden. Azalea did most of the decorating since Julian didn't have much taste as far as interior design. There are light catchers hanging from most of the windows, colorful fabrics draped over most of the furniture, fairy lights in the bedrooms.
w/Lucio: Lucio lived with Azalea in the shop for a short while until Nadia gifted them with a very nice estate near the Temple District. Nadia knew Lucio's taste and was still very grateful to Azalea for taking him off of her hands in the first place. The property is quite expansive with room for most of Lucio's pets, and a very nice house for the servants. The main house itself is three stories with many guest rooms, studies, lavish bathrooms, and an impressive master bedroom. The kitchen is open and well-lit, and Azalea will insist on helping the servants with meals. The interior decorating is a happy mixture between Lucio's and Azalea's individual tastes. Rich red curtains pulled open to allow in light with glittering light catchers, lots of gold trim on the furniture, and various vivid colors throughout the house. Lucio has his own trophy room to display his hunting trophies, Azalea has a study to research and practice magic, and an entire room dedicated to wardrobe. There is also a greenhouse for Azalea's magical herbs. The main entry to the house has moonflower vines growing around the door.
Imalia and Asra live in her family estate, at the southernmost point of the Center City.
It is three stories with a basement/wine cellar. The interior is a mixture of light and dark; the hallways and entry room are lit with candelabras. But the rooms themselves have high windows, each one decorated with stained glass at the top. There are many rooms in the estate, but most are unused/storage. The used rooms are: Imalia/Asra's study (a large room with floor to ceiling bookshelves on all of the walls, littered with various tables covered in books, scrolls, artifacts, and scientific/magical apparatus), Imalia/Asra's bedroom (large mostly sparse room with a grand canopy bed, vanity, and closet), the kitchen (more tall than spacious, with eight foot tall mahogany cabinets, prep table, and two stoves), Ben and Avery's rooms, a greenhouse, and three impressive bathrooms. Before Asra moved in, the house was mostly decorated in browns, reds, and golds. All of the furniture is dark mahogany, as is the wood trim around the house. The curtains were usually red or plum, and the furniture had red velvet upholstery. When Asra moved in, more colors began to splash the scenery. The furniture became draped in vivid lively colors, the windows began to have various crystals littering the sills, large plush lounging pillows appeared, and more home carved trinkets became a frequent decoration. After a while, Muriel began to stay at the estate more often when he got involved with Avery, so the presence of homemade charms and wards became a typical sight. Imalia didn't mind at all. In fact, more life in the estate made it seem less dreary and completely drove away the bad memories of her youth.

There’s been another boomlet in baby-having in my circle of friends and I just gifted copies of psychologist and professor Molly Millwood’s book To Have and to Hold: Motherhood, Marriage and the Modern Dilemma.
She writes honestly and personally about the difficult transition to motherhood (specifically, gendered motherhood, not just parenting), with anecdotes and data, and helpfully synthesizes other research and books. I’m not 100% on board with all that Millwood argues, but I liked her book enough to spread the good word so to speak. She begins with some unvarnished assertions
1. Sometimes we resent our babies
2. Babies do not equal happiness
3. Babies do not bring couples closer together
What I found most fascinating is her exploration of “how the experience of parenthood shapes the parents—not the child—along gender lines.” I’ve excerpted a few things below, and as usual for my “to read” posts, included info for the other books pictured above.
73: Women’s worlds, internal and external, are changed so drastically by motherhood, right down to the way we relate to time. Men’s worlds, by comparison, are not.
... resentment simmers in my client Rachael, who bristles in response to her husband Scott’s seemingly supportive question, “What can I do to help?” Why, she wonders, is he not inherently aware like she is of the ten thousand things that need to be done? How is it that he defaults to the couch throughout the evening to relax and play with their daughter—until she gives him a task—when the couch is quite literally the last place she lands at the end of the day when she can do no more? Scott is not a couch potato, and Rachael is not a neurotic martyr. Yet this picture, in which he is relatively at ease and she is overwhelmed, depicts their life since having children.
...
109: The Cowans’ identity pie chart findings lend great insight into why these discrepancies are so problematic. For men, it would be accurate to say that the addition of a “father” identity does not generally squeeze out other aspects of identity. Tracking men’s self-reported identity pie charts over time, they found that the men’s pie slices devoted to “partner/lover” and “worker/student” did not shrink to nearly the extent that the women’s did after becoming parents. This discrepancy was especially pronounced when it came to the “worker” identity, which, for men, remains essentially unchanged and always (on average) larger than the “father” portion of the pie. The reverse is true for women, whose “worker” identity becomes, and remains, eclipsed by their “mother” identity.
To Have and to Hold: Motherhood, Marriage and the Modern Dilemma Molly Millwood, PhD (2019, ebook only right now)
When Molly Millwood became a mother, she was fully prepared for what she would gain: an adorable baby boy; hard-won mothering skills; and a messy, chaotic, beautiful life. But what she did not expect was what she would lose: aspects of her identity, a baseline level of happiness, a general sense of wellbeing. And though she had the benefit of a supportive husband during this transition, she also at times resented the fact that the disruption to his life seemed to pale in comparison to hers. As a clinical psychologist, Molly knew her experience was a normal response to a life-changing event. But without the advantage of such a perspective, many of the patients she treated in her private practice grappled with self-doubt, guilt, and fear, and suffered the dual pain of not only the struggle to adjust but also the overwhelming shame for struggling at all. In To Have and to Hold, Molly explores the complex terrain of new motherhood, illuminating the ways it affects women psychologically, emotionally, physically, and professionally—as well as how it impacts their partnership. Along with the arrival of a bundle of joy come thorny issues such as self-worth, control, autonomy, and dependency. And for most new mothers, these issues are experienced within the context of an intimate relationship, adding another layer of tension, conflict, and confusion to an already challenging time. As Molly examines the inextricable link between women’s well-being as new mothers and the well-being of their relationships, she offers guidance to help readers reclaim their identities, overcome their guilt and shame, and repair their relationships. A blend of personal narrative, scientific research, and stories from Molly’s clinical practice, To Have and to Hold provides a much-needed lifeline to new mothers everywhere.
Finding Your Inner Mama: Women Reflect on the Challenges and Rewards of Motherhood Edited by Eden Steinberg (2007)
Motherhood can be one of the most intense and transformative experiences of a woman's life. While there are many books that offer the "do's and don'ts" of effective parenting, few offer guidance on navigating the tumultuous inner experience of being a mother, with all its joy, pain, change, and uncertainty. This collection of writing by psychologists, poets, novelists, spiritual teachers, and everyday moms explores the rich, transformative journey of motherhood.
Perfect Madness: Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety Judith Warner (2006)
A lively and provocative look at the modern culture of motherhood and at the social, economic, and political forces that shaped current ideas about parenting. What is wrong with this picture? That’s the question Judith Warner asks in this national bestseller after taking a good, hard look at the world of modern parenting–at anxious women at work and at home and in bed with unhappy husbands. When Warner had her first child, she was living in Paris, where parents routinely left their children home, with state-subsidized nannies, to join friends in the evening for dinner or to go on dates with their husbands. When she returned to the States, she was stunned by the cultural differences she found toward how people think about effective parenting–in particular, assumptions about motherhood. None of the mothers she met seemed happy; instead, they worried about the possibility of not having the perfect child, panicking as each developmental benchmark approached. Combining close readings of mainstream magazines, TV shows, and pop culture with a thorough command of dominant ideas in recent psychological, social, and economic theory, Perfect Madness addresses our cultural assumptions, and examines the forces that have shaped them.
The Mask of Motherhood: How Becoming a Mother Changes Everything and Why We Pretend It Doesn't Susan Maushart (1997)
The Mask of Motherhood is the first book to take an honest look at the effects, in the 1990s, of having children on mothers. After endless talk of “juggling” work and family, and “having it all,” the first generation of born-and-bred feminists are actually becoming mommies—and they are learning firsthand about the great divide that separates the childless from parents. That smile frozen on their faces (Maushart’s “mask of motherhood”) is the pose they have adopted to disguise the mix of rage, elation, and confusion they feel about being so misled, so misinformed, so downright unprepared for motherhood. Nothing currently in print adequately prepares new mothers for the joy and the pain of motherhood. Why, Maushart asks, when we are so up front about everything from orgasms to liposuction, do we maintain such a conspiracy of silence about motherhood: about the impossibility of creating a “balanced” life and about the effect on marriages, friendships, relationships with our own parents, sex, self-esteem, and world view? The current generation of young mothers has been exposed to the most fervent rhetoric about women’s lives and the least firsthand experience of motherhood of any women in history. This diabolical combination is what Maushart, a social scientist by training and a mother of three young children by choice, explores with wit, candor, and passion in this groundbreaking, unforgettable work.

Decided to Riley’s Story a revamp
Full Name: Riley J. Carter
Age: 13 (chronologically), 8-9 (physically)
Gender: none
Species: artificial Humanoid being
Height: slightly shorter than BF
Family: Officer Carter (“Father”) Dr. Carter (“Mother”)
Personality:
Riley seems to be shy and reserved, but is indeed truly a lively energetic child who can be admitally on the stoic and quiet side. Riley is highly intelligent, caring, considerate, empathetic, kind and seems to be able to make friends easily with people of all different personalities, but despite their good traits, Riley is noticeably mentally unstable but not necessarily in the slightest bit violent or disturbing.
In mod -
Riley is a 13 year old child who makes an appearance in the VS. Riley Mod. They make their appearance lost in a parking garage from wandering away from their parents, run into BF, GF and Pico, and ask for assistance. After convincing Riley to sing, you sing 2 songs with Riley then one with Sariel, an undertale soriel fan-kid from “Sariel’s World” with chaos magic and narcissism, when she crashes the mod and tries (and succeeds in) deleting the mod because it was taking away any possible attention from her.
Pre Mod-
Riley was the result of an immortality project in Scotland, with one of the former scientists, (now currently veterinarian), Dr. Carter was incharge of. Riley was mostly made of synthetic materials over organic material, only possessing incomplete DNA genes regarding appearance extracted from Dr. Carter and Officer Carter, making Riley look mostly like the off-spring of the two. Riley WAS NOT made from a Zygote but in a synthesizer machine to “build” Riley’s body.
Riley possesses no internal organs except for a brain, which resembles a giant neuron brain cell over an actual brain, with no lungs, stomach or intestines, Riley is completely self-sustaining without intaking any forms of energy, oxygen, nor sleep. Riley, obviously, also has no genitals.
Riley also only has a skull and a spine, the rest of Riley’s “skeleton” is made of artificial cartilage and mystery material.
Riley was proven to be extremely intelligent at an early age, walking, reading and talking in complete fluid sentences at 3 months old, also proven to be extremely durable just like they were supposed to be. Riley was able to reattach severed limbs easily, as well as operate the limbs when non-attached. Though not able to regrow limbs, as long as there is some connection left between the limb and body, it will be able to regrow in no more than 43 seconds.
There were some issues with Riley during the trails, despite being able to go through fire without being singed by the flames, able to survive in the ocean’s depths, (unable to drown and immune to water pressure), able to survive decapitation and other extreme environments; Riley, though unable to feel pain, still reacted to these situations, though it left no marks or damage, Riley reacted negatively to these tests, also Riley was shown to have neurodivergent tendencies, though nothing is inherently wrong with this, it was considered an defect.
Dr. Carter eventually got mad and horrified at the mistreatment of Riley when witnessing them ripping out Riley’s Eyes to see if they could still function (which they did). Legally, since Riley was not classified as alive nor an legal entity with rights, there was nothing illegal about these tests on Riley, so she “stole” Riley and went to court. This took a surprising turn as it settled in an agreement, Riley can be officially and legally the child of Dr. and Officer Carter, be granted dual-citizenship of The UK and The USA, Birth Certificate, passports and IDs but The Carter’s must move out of the UK and send reports of Riley’s behavior.
When Riley was 8, Riley started to show signs of Schizophrenia, and was unable to be treated due to inhuman status, but current Riley seems to cope with it decently. This is also the time Riley’s aging significantly decreased and almost came to a screeching halt, since Riley's sole purpose is to be immortal, they also made Riley to be eternally youthful, thus, Riley will look like a young child for the next thousands of years.
Riley at one point was given a copper artificial heart, though serves no purpose and causes Riley to bleed blue artificial blood, was implemented in them for symbolic reasons
It’s unknown when Riley lost their left eye, two possibilities are: 1. it was lost or taken when they were removed in one of Riley’s Tests or 2. Riley stabbed their own eye out, with the latter seems to be more hinted to.
Also Riley has delusioned an imaginary person nicknamed “Rax”, short for “Rachel”, and has mental distress over Rax’s “disappearance”.
Abilities
Super regeneration
Limb reattachment, and body part operation when unattached.
Super human vocal range
Enhanced senses
Teleportation
Eternal youth
EXTREME durability
Superhuman physicality
Able to survive without oxygen, food, water or anything else
Blast immunity
Unable to rot and decay
high intelligence
Ripple effect proof memory
Corruption and possession immunity
Quick facts:
Riley is an excellent electricity conductor, Riley can’t generate electricity themself but can hold and channel it, if they are charged with it.
Riley is obsessed with the color pink for unknown reasons
Riley’s powers (outside of immortality related abilities) are superhuman vocal range, supersonic hearing, enhanced sight and smell, ripple effect proof memory (able to remember resets and the deleted), unknowingly 4th wall aware (makes references to it but doesn’t seem to know what it is or why they sense it), teleportation, and enhanced agility.
Riley’s favorite song is “what a wonderful world”
Riley sings Bad Apple with Sariel in the (probably never to be made) mod
Riley would take notice of things, like, if a bot was used, a skin mod, code manipulation, resets, replaying, screen recorder, and so on.
Riley’s hair, though not made of metal, is more similar to metal fibers than actual hair
Riley has no real cells, and it’s unknown how Riley even grows and heals in the first place.
There is a lot of things about Riley’s physical appearance that don’t make sense on how it’s possible but it’s a fictional character, deal with it.
Riley has no soul, but this doesn’t hold any negative effect on Riley.
Riley can never die but can be made dysfunctional if completely dismembered and obliterated then spread far apart, thus, Riley will be unable to move and function, but however, Riley still will be conscious and able to be reassembled.
Riley is fascinated and well educated and skilled in electronics, technology and machinery, they can fix a variety of things and also they have an electric repair kit and plan to eventually go to trade school
I’ll probably draw some other Friday Night Funkin’ characters besides my OC on my own time or if people ask me
Friday night Funkin by Ninjamuffin66 and their friends
Riley by Me

*** Hello, Sunshineeeee... can I ask for SNK, story/scenario? thank youuuu 😘
Alright. You sent me a specific scenario, so I think the story will be flowing that way. 🌸
Thank you for requesting! 💋
This is very long!
“This is (First Name) (Last Name). She will be patrolling with us Survey Corps from now on. She acquires great skill, so in the meantime, don’t judge her from the noble white dress. You’ll be on duty with Levi’s squad.” Mike instructed, scanning the vets and motioning at Levi as he did so.
For a while, they locked eyes. He still had that fire in his eyes like when they first met. Though Levi was short, she was shorter by an inch, but like it mattered. But why was her heart pounding nervously? This is what she has waited for so long.
Levi didn’t know how to react to that. It was a bit awkward seeing someone who who was the first on making your heart beat after years. She didn’t change too much. She still had a long, white dress, her hair tucked in a braid (or something related to a braid, if your hair is short), a kind smile, and warming eyes.
Their minds wandered off to the past.
–
“(Name).” her father said sternly, looking into her eyes. She crossed her arms, glaring up at him. She was past 20, who could blame her? And after everything her father has done to her.. “Stay here. I gotta do my job.”
She nodded and felt a pang of relief once he was gone. She was to take the opportunity of running away from him. After all the experiments he has tested on her, she wasn’t his daughter in his eyes anymore. She was a test subject. It was all after her mother died. She was sick of everything.
Risking it, she unsheathed her blade from the holster hanging on her waist and darted off to the shadows. As she ran, she couldn’t help but be aware that she was underground. Who knew such a place existed?
Her father took her everywhere he went. Here he was, his friends thinking he’s a one of a hell good guy, but at home, every night, he was some mad scientist. Sure, she lived at Wall Sinna, under the protection of the mighty walls, nothing would bother them, but to think that something even walls couldn’t stop, your own blood, hurting you, that was something else.
She stopped as she turned to a corner and landed her eyes on one person, flying around with a 3D manuever gear so skilfully. And he all did it without harming anyone. Talk about skill.
The man landed beside her, and for a moment, her mind has gone blank, then she realised he was cornered. Two people, a guy and a girl, landed beside them.
“Father.” she stepped up, glaring at him. She had no idea whatsoever what was happening. He confidently stood in front of the trio. “What’s happening?”
“(Name), oh god, what are you doing there with the bad guys?” he joked, and for a moment, she gritted her teeth. But she had to play good girl every time his friends were there. “Come er.”
She eyed the trio. The raven haired man glared at her, though it didn’t seem to be hostile. In fact, it seemed to be glued on his face. I don’t know.
“Why? Explain to me how these people are on the bad side.” she reasoned. Her confidence was rising, and her mask was cracking. If there was anything she could do, she could bring her father down and save these people.
“They’re thieves.” he said plainly. “We got orders from many different commanders and corps. This is big money. Now be a good girl and come here, if you don’t want to get hurt.”
She sighed and glanced at the people again. Her father’s comrades shifted uncomfortable as she started to make her way towards her father, her eyes locked with his. And with a swift motion, stabbed the blade in his gut.
Blood poured on her holy white dress, smoothly and stuck to it like glue.
It all happened so fast, no one made a sound. “Go!” she yelled. “I’ll hold them back.” she pulled the blade out of her father’s stomach and faced the stunned men, taking her opportunity to take them.
She didn’t get what she wanted. Turns out she was on the right side. The trio started helping her take out the enemies. And soon, they were panting and standing around corpses.
The man glared at her. “Could your idea be anymore stupid?”
“Y-Your father..” the girl stuttered.
She smiled warmly. “It was nothing. I regret none.”
“You’re.. You’re from Wall Sinna, are you?” the brown haired man said. “I could tell just from your dress and those people. Why would you want to stay here?”
“I’ll explain everything later.” she promised. “In the meantime, I hope you’ll teach me how to use those gears.”
The raven haired man clicked his tongue. “You’re annoying.”
She rolled her eyes. “Well, I think you guys should learn to live with that. (First Name) (Last Name), nice to meet you.”
“Levi.”
Things went on from that.
Levi taught her how to use the gears, how to clean, and other battle strategies. She had skill for knives and mental strength. I guess you could say the same for the dual swords.
The four of them had a close relationship, until the survey crops straddled along.
She eyed as they were cornered from each side. Erwin stepped up and his eyes widened.
“(Name)?”
Of course they knew each other. Her mother and brother were part of the survey corps before, before they..
“Erwin. Stop this now.” she said sternly. Erwin had a strong mindset, maybe even stronger than hers. He was fit for being a leader for that.
“(Name), I have no choice. We’re gonna have to bring you back to Wall Sinna-”
“Oi. If you’re going to drag us into your scummy corps, you better bring her along.” Levi defended.
Her heart pounded. For the few months they’ve been together, she couldn’t help but admire Levi.. more than a friend. But this isn’t the time for romance.
“I have no choice.” Erwin sighed. She knew he was only doing his job, but it still hurt her. “Take her.”
She unsheathed her knife.
“Please don’t.” Isabel begged as the men inched closer.
She bit her lip and grabbed a man by his elbow, twisting it. In the end, she lost the fight, her knife dropping to the floor with a clank.
“Why can’t you just take her with us?” Furlan growled.
She didn’t hear Levi. Not a single word from him. But the fact that Furlan and Isabel stood up for her, that was enough. She was taken away, back into Wall Sinna.
–
She managed to get out of Wall Sinna with the assistance from Commander Pixis. He was drunk that time.
Once she was done changing into her new clothes, she couldn’t help but enjoy the fact that the clothes were far more comfortable than a dress.
“Listen up.” Mike announced as Erwin took his place.
“There are titans emerging from the west. Levi, assist your squad and take out all of the titans. Don’t let them get to the middle.”
Levi nodded, and for a while, she swore she saw him glance at her. “You heard that? Don’t retreat unless an emergency flare has been fired.”
And with that, he jumped from the building.
Things went rougher than (Name) imagined. There were couple of times wherein she was almost squashed and grabbed, though this kid named Eren saved her countless of times. Levi didn’t even mind to wait as he took down titans her and there.
He was.. amazing.
Well, you couldn’t blame her. It’s been quite some time since she last used those gears. She sliced a titan’s nape open and landed on a building, eyeing their work, but who knew something plain as that would cause trouble?
But she was too late. Even Eren was. From behind her, she heard the sound of an abnormal closing in, but her gear broke. Just the right timing, eh?
And everything went black.
–
Her head felt heavy. But she was tired of sleeping, and finally, her eyes fluttered open. It took her a while to realise her body hurt like hell.
To the left, someone was beside her. Once she opened her eyes, Levi looked away and inched back.
“Did you ever learn how to use your head?” he growled lowly. She forced a scoff, but it kinda hurt. Especially her ribs.
“Aren’t I the strategy maker?” she shot back. “And besides..” she turned her head, her sarcastic smile turning into a frown. “You really don’t want me hear, do you?”
“I don’t.” he gritted his teeth.
“And I still don’t get you.” she spat. “I’ve always been trapped. I hated living inside Wall Sinna. People would think I’m crazy, but..”
“I don’t want to die without doing something memorable in my life. I don’t want to die with just the memory of my father hurting me, or the corps taking me from you..” she trailed off. “If I were to die, if it’s something that’s worthy, something that at least helped someone, that’s fine with me.”
He glared at her. “You being heroic now?”
“It’s honesty.” she grumbled.
“I don’t want you here.” he said again. “To know that those who get past me would come for others, like they did before.. it sickens me.”
Her hand finds it’s way to intertwine it with his.
“Don’t make me your weakness, please.” she smiled warmly.
“Fine.” he grumbled, gripping her hand tighter and kissed her forehead. “Just don’t do anything stupid.”
“Here we go again!”

Disapproval at every turn. ALLERGIES : Pollen. USUAL HAIR STYLE : Usually done in an elaborate bun, a neater, more practical variation of the bouffant and the pompadour. When in the comforts of her own home at night, she actively frees her hair from any style that it was previously in. USUAL FACE LOOK : Severe expressions decorate her face. She is generous with her frowns. Often, most people wouldn’t want to speak with her unless it is important. USUAL CLOTHING : Collared shirts, neckties, vests and coats. She is practical at work. On other times, she would wear what is conventional for women at her time, but due to the floating city being rather closed off from the rest of the world, she is stuck with the same style for a few years.
PSYCHOLOGY. FEAR / S : The deaths of her loved ones, such as her parents and Robert. ASPIRATION / S : To be well-respected and well-known in her field of science. GHOSTS ? : They certainly do exist, in her opinion. They scared her for four years. AFTERLIFE ? : There was once a time where she thought that she would end up there after death. The afterlife is unattainable to her now, as she could not even die. REINCARNATION ? : No. ALIENS ? : No. POLITICAL ALIGNMENT : None whatsoever. Politics in government never interested her. ECONOMIC PREFERENCE : Rather wealthy, but always seems to want more wealth. SOCIOPOLITICAL POSITION : As a young girl, she was respected as the daughter of a wealthy French professor and his equally wealthy American wife, and upon getting older, she serves as a figurehead for the sciences in the floating city of Columbia. Her words hold sway over the many, many scientists under her, and when needed, her opinion is very much valued among the Prophet’s circle of friends and ministers. She herself, however, takes little interest in politics. EDUCATION LEVEL : University level. An alumni of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Privately tutored as a young child in the pianoforte, both practical and theory.
FAMILY. FATHER : Professor Harold Lutece ( father, deceased ) MOTHER : Margaret Winchester ( mother, deceased ) SIBLINGS : Robert Lutece ( ‘twin brother’, alternate self ) EXTENDED FAMILY : Surprisingly enough, she got along with both sides of the family. The Lutece side resides in France, and they always thought well of Harold’s daughter since the day she was born. When Rosalind speaks to them, she speaks nothing but French. On her mother’s side, however, the Winchesters didn’t care much for her; a girl with a head like that ought not to be encouraged. NAME MEANING / S :
ROSALIND - Latin, meaning ‘pretty rose.’ Her mother named her after the heroine of ‘As You Like It,’ and her first name was used in many variations by her father, notably the name ‘Rosalinde’.
VICTORIA - Latin, meaning ‘victory‘ or ‘conquer’. The female variation of the name Victor. Named after Queen Victoria, who was the queen of England at the time.
LUTECE - French, a variation of the alternative name of Paris, ‘Lutetia’.

MOVIE : She’s not one for movies. 5 SONGS A SONG : Tristes apprêts (Castor et Pollux). DEITY : The God who bestowed the Pope all heavenly authorities on Earth. HOLIDAY : Christmas and Labor Day. MONTH : July. It brings about the busiest times of the year. SEASON : Autumn. PLACE : France. It is more of a home to her than any place else. WEATHER : Cloudy, heralding the possibility of rain. SOUND : Complaints of intellectuals. A voice raising above the rest, pointing out errors. A busy laboratory, with various questions being asked and answered. The grand piano, sounding out pieces of yesteryear and beyond. An old record of Beethoven on the phonograph. Her own cries after New Year, lamenting the passing of a great man who was, and still is, her father. SCENT / S : She doesn’t care much for scents. At most, some light perfume here and there, but the scent of smoke follows her about. The Bunsen burners never rest. TASTE / S : Stale bread from her college years. Water, to remind her that everyone is equal. Chamomile tea, in an attempt to sleep -- coffee, to wake up. For more of her guilty pleasures, confectioneries at tea time would be the best option. FEEL / S : The air of a school-madam, a powerful authority figure, a woman who would not be struck down after years of hard work. An inherited grace from her parents. The stale feeling of emptiness after a Hobson’s choice. The feel of blood on her hands. ANIMAL / S : Answered! NUMBER : One. COLOUR : Blue, for the innocence of her youth. Red, for her older times, and for the blood she had spilled, whether it was her own, or others.

MUN QUESTIONS. Q1 : if you could write your character your way in their own movie , what would it be called , what style would it be filmed in , and what would it be about ? A1 : As much as I love the game, I would very much like to have a movie or a game about Rosalind before Columbia was created. It would most certainly show exactly what were the struggles that she had to go through as a female scientist, and I believe that it would be a great inspiration to others out there. Q2 : what would their soundtrack / score sound like ? A2 : Full of arias. Full of piano and orchestral music. Bring in the arias. Q3 : why did you start writing this character ? A3 : I took her up as a challenge, but then I got stuck. Horribly stuck. Q4 : what first attracted you to this character ? A4: The big machine, actually. It could be possible in many years time. Q5 : describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse. A5 : look Rosalind. we have a lot of things to talk about. notably, how I had to painstakingly try and figure out what were the facts that you have hidden from the world about HOW THE DAMN CITY FLOATS. there’s also the fact that i somewhat dislike her icy nature, which is very ill-placed in certain situations (such as the fated argument with Lady Comstock). Q6 : what do you have in common with your muse ? A6 : we’re both in physics hell Q7 : how does your muse feel about you ? A7 : most probably, I’m a major disappointment to her. like ‘don’t even waste my time, mr. lawrence’ Q8 : what characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ? A8 : Lady A. Comstock, Theodore Sallis, Claude Frollo, Sofia Lamb. Q9 : what gives you inspiration to write your muse ? A9 : Admittedly, my every day life. I have to face physics hell every day and I can’t help but just wonder why did I even pick this major.... Q10 : how long did this take you to complete ? A10 : Half an hour. (minus putting it off)
