Mal Shorts: A Moment of Cute
Asra walked down the hall with the herbs from the kitchen. As he approached the study, he could hear Imalia talking. Asra silently poked his head past the door and peeked in. At one of her research tables Imalia stood, Faust coiled around her head like some ancient diadem. "I dunno, Faust," Imalia said staring down at the huge tome in front of her. "What would you do if someone just busted up into your bedroom and stole your pet cat?" Stab! Imalia laughed boisterously. "That's right, you'd stab a bitch!" She reached up and stroked the serpent's chin. Asra had to hold back a squeal because it was the most adorable thing he'd seen all week. "Shank 'em in the spleen!" she cooed.

Love Like Yours Fest Day 3: Say It Like You Mean It (Imalia x Asra)
Day 3 of @lovelikeyoursfest. I’m late with this, but that’s how it looks like it’s gonna go with this event. *cries*
This is a re-write of a fic I posted a few months ago where Imalia and Asra confess their feelings for each other. It’s told mostly through Asra’s viewpoint (it felt right *shrug*).
-----------------------
Imalia and Asra walked through the ruins, trying to make out the strange symbols etched on each and every pillar. The ghost-like moans of the wind as it wove in between each skeletal stone spire sent shivers down their spines. They tried their best to interpret something, anything from the engravings but they just could not pinpoint anything familiar. Imalia looked thoughtful for a moment.
"I wonder if they would react to magic?" she said, her thumb absently flicking her labret piercing.
"Perhaps," Asra offered. "But I'm a little nervous about trying anything with these being in the state they're in."
"Hmm...agreed," Imalia said with pursed lips. She took a small notepad and enchanted quill out of her bag. "Just sketches today, then!" She merrily set to work sketching out various symbols that seemed to be the most frequent. As she did so, Asra walked about the tall stones, simply admiring them.
"These must have been beautiful when they were first built," he remarked.
Imalia looked up for a moment, sweeping the brown and burgundy bangs out of her eyes. "Oh yes, the condition this stone is in...it had to have been made by excellent masons; it's quality granite. But the various chips in the cracks suggests that it was once covered in a more opulent stone." She peered closer. "Cobalt, by the look of it."
Asra leaned close to one of the pillars and looked into the deep cracks and etchings. Sure enough, specks of dark blue could be seen within the rock. He walked past a few more of the structures to look at one that was standing in a ray of sunlight. The blue could be seen vividly here, sparkling like the ocean.
He glanced back at Imalia who was still sketching out more of the strange symbols. She held her tongue between her teeth and her hips swayed as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other, causing the leather straps of her coat to shuffle together. She was so focused and intent. This was her element. Out in the world, exploring and studying the lost places that ages forgot long ago. He was so happy she had asked him to come along again. He would have never found a place like this on his own. Plus there was the added bonus of being able to spend so much time with Imalia alone. When she spoke to him of history and deeper magic, he was always rivited. She had a way of expressing her interest that was simply infectious. And he always understood what she was saying, even if the concepts were a bit beyond him. Her eyes lit up, her arms were animated, and her tone was always one of excitement. She was *excited* to share her knowledge, and he was excited to receive it. And being out in the world, seeing magic and history firsthand with her...it always struck him straight to the heart.
An errant gust of wind through swept through the spires. Asra watched with growing concern as he saw a few of them actually sway. One spire, not far from Asra, swayed a bit more than the rest. Its base began to crumble and splinter, the ancient stone turning to powder under gravity's force. Asra's eyes widened as the spire fell right towards him. He held up his hands, throwing up a protective shield. He watched as the spire's head struck the shield...and then the shield shattered. He heard Imalia scream his name right before the spire crushed him...
And suddenly he was airborne, carried snugly in Imalia's powerful arms. Imalia had teleported in and snatched him, then ported free of the falling spire just as it hit the ground, and the two of them reappeared in mid-air. They sailed over the billowing cloud of stone and dust that burst forth as the spire fell, taking out several other spires with it.
"Ray Wing!" Imalia shouted. A clear bubble formed around them and they hovered where they were as the dust below them engulfed the entire area. Asra's heart pounded furiously in his chest. He watched the destruction beneath them in profound and regretful awe. All that history...all that knowledge lost over a single gust of wind. He looked to Imalia. The golden sun sigil on her black headband glowed slightly, maintaining the spell so that Imalia didn't have to concentrate solely on it. She stared back at him, her eyes laden with concern.
"Asra, are you alright? Did you get hurt?"
Asra let out a nervous laugh, winding his arms around Imalia's neck. "No...I was definitely afraid, though."
Imalia smiled with relief and held him tight. "Good. I'm so glad."
"How did the stone break my shield?" Asra pondered aloud.
"I believe it has to do with the markings," Imalia replied. "I think they are magical in nature. Perhaps there is-was...power still in the stones."
Asra noticed that Imalia was shaking slightly. He knew it wasn't because of his weight; Imalia had no difficulty carrying him. And she hadn't loosened her hold on him. She held him fast against her, and Asra could feel her heart pounding underneath her orange leather coat.
"I thought I was about to lose you too..." she said after a moment. Her crimson eyes welled with tears.
Asra placed a hand on her cheek and stared straight into those eyes. "But you saved me, Mal," he whispered. "I'm still here because of you." He felt warmth blossom in his chest and he could simply not help himself. He drew her face to his and placed a lingering kiss on her lips. Imalia took in a sharp breath through her nose and then sighed. Asra could feel Imalia's tears fall down her cheeks and he brushed them away with his fingertips.
"Thank you, Mal," Asra said once parting. "Thank you so much."
"Oh, Asra," she murmered, returning his kiss and taking it deeper. The kiss was slow and languid but intense. He could feel her powerful aura sweeping over him, caressing his entire being in a way he had never felt before. He felt her emotions as if they were his own; the uncertainty, regret that morphed into resolve, but also the deep satisfied thrill of *finally* tasting him. It was unexpected. It was overwhelming. It was fathomless and solid, a feeling he knew all too well but had not felt since Azalea died. Love. Firey and pure. He felt it build up even further when she parted from him and immediately went for his neck. Her hot lips trailed down from his jaw to the divot at his collarbone where they lingered for a long while, decorating the spot with kiss after kiss and making Asra sigh in bliss. He felt his own aura reach up to hers, mingling and entwining, begging for the sweet contact he had denied himself for years. And she responded. She enveloped him further, each kiss on his skin an oath and each surge of her aura around him a haven.
The dust below them had settled, and Imalia parted from Asra's skin to look into his eyes. Asra stared back with heavy lids.
"Asra...I love you," Imalia said, her gaze the softest and warmest Asra had ever seen in the twenty years he had known her. Asra felt a wide grin spread across his face. His chest felt light and his stomach fluttered at the words.
"I-I love you too," he replied.
They drifted to the edge of the stone columns and settled down gently on the ground, the powdery granite dust swirling up slightly as Imalia's feet touched the grass. She gently lowered Asra so that he could stand on his own. She took his hands in hers and kissed each of his fingers. Asra flushed under her stare.
"So...are we going to tell Azalea?" Imalia asked, a hint of mischief in her voice.
Asra gave that cat-like smile that Imalia had secretly adored.
"She can find out when she gets back to Vesuvia," Asra replied. And with that he wrapped an arm around Imalia's back and dipped her down, kissing her one more time.

Happy Birthday, Starlight
Thanks to @shyest-violet for the inspiration!
Imalia and Asra celebrate his birthday at home.
759 words, little bit o’ citrus
-------------------------
“So, I thought we’d spend your birthday at the estate,” Imalia said. “Relax for a bit.”
Asra smiled and stretched, arching his arms over his head. “That sounds amazing,” he said. “I’m worn-out.”
“Yeah, I can tell,” Imalia said. “You’ve been so wonderful, Asra. I can’t thank you enough for how much you’ve been helping me.”
“I’m happy to,” Asra replied.
Imalia opened the gate to the estate’s grounds and let Asra enter first. She then took his hand and led him around to the back where a small tent covered in rich glittering fabric was erected.
“Oh, Mal, this is lovely!” Asra said.
Imalia led him over to the tent’s opening and flashed him a coy grin. “Oh...just wait till you see the inside…”
She pushed the fabric aside, and watched Asra’s eyes grow wide as he saw what she had prepared for him. The interior of the tent was easily six times larger than what it appeared on the exterior, the ground littered with plush elegant pillows surrounding a table that was covered in rich decadent food. And in the center of it all was a tall intricate hookah with a wide and generous bowl full of...well, he knew what was in it.
Imalia took his hand and kissed his palm. “Happy birthday, Starlight,” she said.
She led him inside, and made sure that he was seated comfortably. She then sat directly behind him, winding her legs around him on either side. She drew him close and kissed his neck, her strong hands lightly gripping his shoulders and massaging them. Asra let out a pleased groan and leaned back into her. Her thumbs found a tight spot in his back and made small circles to ease the tension, all the while she kissed the tendon at his neck from bottom to top and ended with a playful nip at his earlobe.
“Hungry?” she asked.
Asra smiled and gave his lips a slow and sensual lick with his tongue. “Starving.”
Imalia let out a growling laugh, and reached for a large ripe strawberry. She held it in front of him and he leaned forward, his lips closing around the fruit and biting down very close to the tips of her fingers.
She took the mouthpiece from the hookah and inhaled deeply. She then passed it to Asra who did the same as she exhaled a large sparkling blue plume of smoke. She reached underneath one of the pillows and withdrew a sleek polished obsidian box. Clearing her throat, she presented it to Asra as he exhaled a glittering lavender cloud.
Asra placed the mouthpiece back in its holder and looked at the box curiously.
“Oh? What’s this?” he asked.
Imalia grinned broadly. “Open it and see.”
Asra gave her a sly smirk and lifted the glistening lid. Inside were two identical golden collars. Asra spun around to look at Imalia, his face awestruck.
“Oh, Mal...when did you do this?”
“A little while ago,” she replied. “I had them custom-made.”
Asra picked one of them up and rotated it in the light. It was polished to a mirror shine and Imalia delighted in Asra’s reflection.
“It’s so perfect,” Asra breathed. “Can we?”
“Of course, Starlight,” she replied.
Asra turned so that he was facing Imalia. He picked up the collar that he knew was meant for her, and she took the other collar from his hands. Asra reached up and unhooked his own collar and gingerly placed it inside the box. Imalia removed the thin gold choker she wore and placed it next to Asra’s old collar.
Giggling to themselves, they placed the new collars around each others’ necks and clasped them. They marveled at each other for a moment.
“So...how does it feel to be owned again?” Imalia asked, snaking her arms around Asra’s back and holding him close.
“Mmmm...amazing,” Asra said, snuggling into Imalia’s chest. “But you’ll need this back.” He reached for her old choker and removed the red talisman from the thin loop. He then placed it front and center of her new collar. It melded with the gold seamlessly.
“They don’t work without the full set, right?”
Imalia laughed. “True.”
Asra got an impish grin and pushed Imalia backwards onto the pillows.
“And since I now own you, Professor…”
Imalia smiled up at him deviously. “Are you prepared to boss around the Princess of Sairuun?”
He pressed a finger to her lips, silencing her.
“I didn’t say the Princess could speak, did I?”

Head canon of both of your OC as devil version would their lover join them in their realm or stay behind?
You challenge me with my own OCs, anon. Well done. And you made me think dir-tay things as well below the cut!!!
Azalea
(honestly, Azalea wouldn't absorb the Devil's power. But this is a 'what if' scenario)
Lucio tears the Devil's heart out with his magical gauntlet. Azalea takes the heart into herself and transforms.
Lucio is terrified but turned on at the same time when he sees her new form.
She tells him that she could send him back to Vesuvia, but she has to stay here for all time.
Lucio refuses to leave. She was the only person who ever really gave a shit about him, why would he ever leave her?
Azalea is surprised but very grateful for his decision.
They spend time training; sparring each other, Azalea teaching Lucio magic and how to see through the deceptions of the magical realms.
The other Arcana eventually come around, and Azalea gives them an outsider's perspective on how they can become stronger.
And if they deal with mortals, for fuck's sake, read their heart first. Don't just jump into deals.
And let's not make deals against each other as well, okay? That's just rude.
Lucio is always by Azalea's side. But his collar isn't visible to everyone else. ^_~
Imalia
(For this one, I need to explain that Imalia has already made a deal with and is 'possessed' by the Lord of Nightmares, a black and gold Eldritch horror. She wears LoN's symbol on her headband.)
She and Asra boldface walk into the Devil's realm. They spend a while throwing shade at each other until the Devil decides he's had enough of them.
He begins to use his powers to crush them when suddenly he finds his heart sticking out of the front of his chest, held by a sleek black tentacle.
The tentacle leads directly from Imalia's back.
Asra freaks out. What did Imalia just do?!
The Devil's realm begins to crumble around them, and the Devil's body fades in a cloud of black smoke. Drawing the tentacle back to her, Imalia takes the heart in her hand.
She apologizes to Asra about this, she knows he may never forgive her. But she already possesses the power of The Lord of Nightmares; containing the power of the Devil won't be any different. At least everyone she loves will be safe.
Asra watches as Imalia eats the Devil's heart. In a swirling red fog, she transforms.
She gazes upon Asra with new dark eyes. But instead of red on black, they are gold on black with the goat pupils. The power of LoN has merged with the Devil's power. Eight long black tentacles fan out of her back, and smaller tentacles coil around her four new horns. More tentacles wrapped around her arms and legs.
She looks sadly at Asra and tells him that he should leave. She can make him forget her if it will make things easier.
Asra calls Imalia cruel for trying to cast him out. She has taken on far too many burdens, and this is one he will not let her carry alone. If she wants him gone, she will have to throw him out herself.
Imalia doesn't know how to take this. She thought for certain that he would hate her. Perhaps some part of her wanted him to hate her. Now she could never go back home. But she could never willingly cast Asra out. She loved him too much.
"Maybe Azalea will find us. She has the power of The Fool. She can get us out of here someday."
Imalia spends her days teaching Asra the secrets of the Arcana, and they traverse the magical realms together. They help the other Arcana regain their power, then chide them on being so detrimentally introverted.
On a personal note, Imalia thinks long and hard about bringing her father back from the dead. Vesuvia could really use him...but she decides against it since he would have to go through the same ordeal that Azalea did. And the thought of her own father not remembering her...that thought makes Imalia desperately sad. Best to just let him rest.
And OF COURSE, you made my mind go here. XP NSFW drabbles below the cut.
Sexy Times NSFW
Azalea
Lucio has no problem bowing to her. In fact, on his knees in front of her has become a favorite position. So many things happen there...
Like kissing her from her hooves to her thighs, then she spreads her legs and her taloned fingers weave into his hair while he goes down on her.
He's her favorite throne cushion. He sits on the throne, and she sits on his cock.
Her fangs grazing his cock while she sucks him. He's got a firm hold on her horns too.
That collar? Yeah, it's a cockring. A magical cockring.
She loves it when he straddles her lap while on her throne, and she slowly slowly strokes him until he cums. She loves to hear him beg her to be rough, but he only gets that if he's been very good. And let's face it...Lucio does like to be a little bad.
Imalia
Fanged nips to Asra's neck, especially his beautiful divot
Imalia sitting on her throne while she utterly ravishes Asra from top to bottom with her tentacles. He is suspended, tentacles gently wrapped around his waist, chest, and thighs while one tentacle strokes his cock and another pegs him. He reaches for another and greedily starts to suck on it.
Tentacle shibari. Oh yes.
Asra gripping Imalia's horns while he pounds into her from behind
The most intense stimulation magic Asra has ever experienced. Full-body orgasms.

Azalea/Imalia Apprentice April Asks #2
Man, I did myself in on this one! It only took me the whole week! So many "Whoa...I haven't come up with that yet..." But that's the point of these asks! To develop characters! Thanks so so much to @samjmorgan, @mechaspirit, and the several anons for sending me asks! I hope you like my answers! Once again, novel below the cut. XP
1. What does your character feel when they see their LI for the first time each day?
Julian: He's always awake before her, but won't move until she does. As soon as her bleary eyes see him, she smiles; that warm blossoming feeling filling her chest. Her beautiful disaster is alive, well, and right where she left him. She wraps her arms and legs around him and pulls him in tight for a full-body hug. "Good morning, angel," he whispers to her.
Lucio: Their connection usually has them waking up at the same time. Even with a messy bedhead, Lucio makes Azalea's heart flutter the moment she lays eyes on him. His skin is warm and soft, and it gets cute little goosebumps as soon as she touches him. Lucio. Her Lucio. *Que make-out session.* Morning breath? Meh, who cares.
Her sleep is sporadic due to her nightmares, and she wakes up multiple times during the night. Every time her eyes land on Asra next to her, her heart rate slows down and she drifts back off to sleep. When it's finally time to get up, however, she will whimper and pull him close, letting her deep emotions and love spill over to him. He's been the longest constant in her hellish life, and she's just so happy to have him next to her. To be able to call him hers.
2. What things does your character love about their LI?
Julian: She LOVES how smart he is. She feels like she can have an actual intelligent conversation with him about absolutely (well...almost) anything. He askes intellectual questions about magic and she is more than happy to go on a spiel about the little intricacies and science behind magic. And she loves to ask him about medicine and how the human body works. It ends up benefitting both of them in their respective professions. She also loves how he towers over her but will fall to his knees in an instant.
Julian loves Azalea’s stubbornness. Once she gets her mind set on something, it’s gonna go her way. (she snagged him, didn’t she?) He absolutely loves it when she throws off all of her inhibitions and goes on a night run across the rooftops. He can’t keep up with her when she’s elevated. The sky is her playground, and it makes her look even more angelic to him. He adores the way she speaks to him and holds him when he’s feeling stressed. She’s so soothing and comforting, and she won’t let him go until he asks.
Lucio: She loves his energy and excitement. He's not the smartest pickle in the jar, but he can match her when it comes to being active. Running races, playing sexy hide-and-seek, sparring...he's the only person in the world who can wear her out. And he has been the most encouraging person to her. His wonder and awe when he watches her do magic makes her feel as awesome as he says she is. And he loves it when she reads one of her new stories to him. He sits there, riveted by the images she's weaving with her words.
Lucio loves how completely and utterly kind she is to him. She actually listens to him and encourages him, believes in him. No one has ever done that before.
Imalia loves everything about Asra. She loves how beautiful his magic is. Watching him cast leaves her utterly spellbound. The glowing swirls, the glittering lights, the musical trills his magic makes. It is unlike anything Imalia has ever experienced. She loves how she can talk about anything and Asra immediately seems to understand. Magical theories, sacred geometry and leylines, blessed and cursed artifacts, enchantments, ancient incantations...he is just as invested and curious as she. She can teach him a new spell and he can get it right almost immediately as well as understand it. And he is the most calming presence she could be around. If her anxiety is flaring up or if she had a particularly nasty nightmare, Asra can calm her down within minutes.
Asra loves how giving and encouraging Imalia is. She spends so much time learning new things only to turn around and share her knowledge with even more enthusiasm. She simply can't keep knowledge to herself. And she would gladly give her life to save someone she loves.
3. What things about their LI annoy them?
Julian: He can still be a spastic dumbass. And sometimes he will go on these long tirades about how he just doesn't deserve to be with her. She will let him get his grievances out, and then calmly explain WHY he is wrong. And he has this really annoying habit of leaving his dirty socks right beside the laundry hamper. And Julian tends to leave cups of cold, unfinished coffee just lying around the place. As for Azalea herself, she tends to think that he doesn't always understand what she is talking about, so she will spend too much time re-explaining a concept he already knows. And sometimes she can be a little to micro-managey when it comes to stuff around the shop.
Lucio: As above, spastic dumbass. He also has absolutely NO idea or sense of money management. And he can be lazy. And if she's spending too long on her shop's expenses/cleaning, or if she's reading and not paying enough attention to him, Lucio will start to whine and flop around like a little kid. Azalea herself still has a few trust issues with Lucio on certain things like money. He’s so used to lavish things and sometimes needs reminding that Azalea’s shop doesn’t bring in THAT kind of revenue. Azalea KNOWS Lucio doesn’t understand what she’s talking about sometimes, so the re-explaining isn’t so bad. But it does bore Lucio. He can’t help but feel put-out with Azalea’s micro-managing. He wishes she would just sell the shop and move them back into the Palace since she is Court Magician.
Asra still likes to run off on his own without giving any specifics about where/what he's doing. The running off is fine, but Imalia would at least like an idea of what he's planning. Just in case he might need some help. Her worst fear is for him to get in trouble and need her, but she isn't there.
4. Who does what chores?
Julian: Azalea handles the cooking, laundry, and cleaning the floors. Julian handles the dusting (putting that height to good use!) and the dishes. They both do random little fix-its around the shop, but Azalea is better at it since she had spent three years randomly alone. Azalea loves Julian's expressions when she climbs on the roof and hangs upside down to fix a shingle or the shop’s sign. He’s trying to catch a glimpse of his favorite boob.
Lucio: (assuming he is no longer Count and lives with her at the shop) OMG this lazy bum. It took Azalea a while to get him used to the idea of washing his own clothes, and even longer to teach him how to do it right. She still takes care of cooking (he is NOT allowed!) and the floors, but they share dusting duty. And she taught him how to fix things. The first time he got a chair to stop wobbling, she had to stop him from throwing open the windows and yelling "I AM THE FIX-IT KING!!!" to the entire neighborhood. She also gave him a job as shop courier. He needed to learn how to earn his living. Also took him a while to figure out how to deliver orders without breaking anything. 😒
Well, Imalia has servants at her estate, so she doesn't really NEED to do any chores. But she's not the lazy type, and will at the very least cook for herself and the entire household. She likes seeing their faces when they taste her latest atroci-uh dish. In seriousness, she's a pretty decent cook. Asra will usually gather reagents and ingredients they will need in their magical research. As far as household chores, he keeps the windows clean. He loves how the sunlight filters in through the stained glass.
5. Do they prefer to stay at home, or do they like to go out?
Julian: Being the working stiffs they are, they will usually stay at home. But a few times a week they will head down to the Rowdy Raven for a good time, or visit with their friends. Azalea does eventually become Imalia's apprentice again and gets tutored three times a week; they will usually go out somewhere as a group afterward.
Lucio: Lucio, being the exhausting booger he is, has to go out and mingle with people. So they will typically go out when the workday is done. When Azalea becomes Imalia's apprentice again, Lucio is encouraged to do ANYTHING else but come along. (Imalia and Lucio dated for three years, and that ended badly; so she tries to steer clear of him) It doesn't always work, however, because Lucio is nosy and he remembers how well Imalia's head-of-household Ben made desserts.
Since she and Asra both like to travel, they typically go out somewhere. Even if they stay at home they will be traveling the Magical Realms.
6. What are some little things they do for each other throughout the day?
Julian: She will make him coffee and prepare him lunch to take to the clinic with him. She will leave him little notes in the lunch telling him how amazing he is and how much she loves him. If he is working late, she brings him dinner. He will tie little notes to Malak's leg for her to receive, or bring her flowers when he gets off work. He has also become the new bearer-of-pumpkin bread. When he gets home, she will sit him down in a chair and give him a shoulder and back rub or draw him a nice hot bath.
Lucio: She keeps a full cookie jar for him. She keeps the pantry stocked with food he likes and will cook it just perfect for him. She also whispers dirty little nothings in his ear and will give him sneaky butt pinches. He needs to know he's wanted, after all! If his prosthetic is bothering him, she will help soothe the irritation. He will give her random shoulder rubs and neck nibbles and will make sure Corva's food and water are always full. He also likes to blow most of his money on random gifts for her.
She will paint Asra's nails while telling him lots of "no shit, there I was" stories. Smoking green with him while reading, going on long walks with him, and constantly praising him. Asra will wash Imalia's hair when they bathe together and give her amazing scalp massages to ease away tension. He also loves to brush her hair and come up with new braid configurations for the top of her head.
7. What are some private jokes they share?
Julian: There was this one time when they were adventuring overseas and they wanted to grab something to eat before they set out to investigate this temple that Imalia had told them about. It was supposed to have this magical jar that could hold a human soul. The only vendor in the town they were in sold this strange grilled fruit on a stick that smelled absolutely awful. They still ate them and it didn't taste too terrible. But it strangely filled them with energy and they made it through the temple just fine. Now when they see kebabs, they look at each other and snicker. Also, when they pass a haberdasher and see a nice pirate-style hat, Julian will pass Azalea a quirked eyebrow and grin.
Lucio: Whenever Azalea hears a goat bleat, she will glance to Lucio and snicker because his laugh sounds exactly the same. Lucio will laugh like a madman when Corva will imitate Azalea's frustrated "Fucking hell!" He also taught her how to say "Mama's ass" in his accent. Lucio: "Ey, Corva, what's the solution to this problem?" Corva: "Mama's ass!" Azalea: "OMG!!!" *blush* Corva: "Fucking hell!"
She and Asra have run afoul of a few bandit gangs with the most ridiculous names. So now when they hear of bandits causing trouble, Asra will say "Is it The Fighting Dragon's Blood Macho Men again?" Imalia: *snarfs her drink* "It might be the Serpent's Hand." Asra: *laughs out loud* Faust: ?
8. What are some embarrassing couple stories?
Julian: One time Azalea was bringing him lunch at work, and the thank-you kiss became rather intense. A patient came in, and Julian realized that he had gotten...ahem...excited. He had to come up with a lame excuse to give himself time to calm down.
Lucio: One time he and Azalea were toking up in the loft of the shop when Nadia came in. It was a new strain that was really potent, and Lucio couldn't hide the fact that he was high as hell. When he tried to follow Azalea down the stairs, he lost his balance and tumbled the rest of the way down, ending up in a pile at Nadia's feet. He instantly blurted out in a loud exaggerated whisper: "Azzie, don't tell Noddy that I'm high!!" Nadia: "Don't worry Lucio, I will never find out." Lucio: "Good. Hey, Azzie, are we gonna screw when she leaves?" Azalea: "....Omg...I am so sorry, Nadia." Nadia: "It's alright, you took him off of my hands after all." (I'd draw this if I could XD)
One time she and Asra started "getting down" in her study. They were so focused on each other that they didn't notice Ben come in and set down a tray of refreshments for them. When they were done, Imalia noticed the tray and said "How long has that been there?" Asra: "I don't know...I swear it wasn't there before...we..." Imalia: "...Shit, Ben, why do you have to be such a ninja?" They couldn't look him in the eye at dinner that night.
9. Is their relationship open or exclusive?
Julian/Lucio: Exclusive. Azalea gives her heart to one person only. Her love envelopes her lover and all she longs for is them. More than one person would feel mediocre and cheap because she would have to divide her love. She loves with everything she is. And it turns out that both Julian and Lucio get really jealous at the thought of sharing her.
Imalia and Asra are exclusive and deeply committed to each other; but they would have a threesome if they met someone who struck both of their fancies. That hasn't happened yet, however.
10. How often do they need to be intimate?
Julian: They need to be intimate at least twice a week. Jobs can be stressful, and they need to relieve that stress. Azalea is all too happy to indulge Julian's desires, and he is happy to service her needs in return. He's amazing at following direction. ^_~
Lucio: Sex is a daily occurrence with them. Rarely, they will have had such an exhausting and busy day that sex just wasn't in the schedule...but rarely. More often than not, it's vanilla sex. But they make an effort to have several spicy sessions a week. There have been weeks where they went at it a little rough at the beginning, and they were too sore to keep up their normal routine. Those were sad weeks.
At the very least they have sex once a week; however sex can happen at the drop of a hat with these two. Anywhere, anytime. The longest sessions happen in the Magical Realms where they can explore and experiment for as long as they want.
11. Have they ever fought?
Julian: Over little things, more than most. Things get tense with two people trying to be in a committed relationship. Something as stupid as “geez, dirty socks on the floor AGAIN?! The laundry basket is right here!” can, unfortunately, escalate into a rather heated argument about something entirely different. But dammit, we are COMMITTED!!! (I’m NOT leaving this bitch/bastard because I LOVE them, and we have been through WAY too much SHIT for something as amorphous as emotions to drive a wedge between us!) Cue some time apart to get their thoughts and emotions together and a very teary-eyed snotty apology.
Lucio: Yeah, mainly over money management. Lucio always thought the word "budget" meant "cheap." He didn't understand that you can't use the money for shop repairs to buy that gaudy cloak he saw in a store window. He also didn't know that shops had to buy the things they sell. He thought store wares just...appeared.
Asra gets irate at the risks Imalia is all too ready to take at a moment's notice. He wants her to stay safe and it's quite hard when she suddenly decides that she has to drain a quarter of her blood as a reagent for a spell that will lift the curse on a village. She thinks that she will be alright since she merged with the Lord of Nightmares. But Asra reminds her that Lon is a chaos goddess and might not save her.
12. Describe their perfect date
Julian: It's been busy at the shop and the clinic, and Azalea and Julian have been wanting a date night for a while now. Azalea closes the shop early and prepares a picnic for the two of them. Meanwhile, Julian closes his clinic and hauls ass down to the Rowdy Raven to pick up a special bottle that he ordered from Barth. He gets back to the shop just as Azalea is tucking everything away in a basket. Arm in arm, the walk to the hidden garden. They spread out a blanket and set everything up. Under the glow of the Deadly Starstrand, they feed each other and enjoy that entire bottle. They giggle and snuggle together, talking about the "remember whens" of their first meeting. Azalea then pins Julian against that crumbling wall and enacts her secret desires of that night long ago.
Lucio: Lucio got permission from Nadia to set up a special rendezvous in the palace garden. (She adores Azalea and helped him come up with the idea) A table with a magnificent spread was set out for them with a chilled Golden Goose. They spent the evening laughing and talking, Lucio telling Azalea stories of his past glories. Azalea confesses that she didn't think much of herself or her talent until he came into her life. Lucio spends a while kissing up and down the length of Azalea's arms, showering her with praise. He then takes her up to his old wing via the portal in the garden and gives her the full Count experience. ^_~
There is a meteor shower tonight. Imalia sets up a tent (looks small, but is huge inside) in a clearing in the Dark Forest that has all the trappings. A magician's feast, different types of drinks and wine, and big fluffy bed covered in tons of vibrantly colored pillows. Outside, they lay in the grass and stargaze. Imalia tells Asra the history and mythology behind the constellations overhead and what significance they have to different kinds of magicians and mages. Asra already knows all this, but he loves to hear Imalia talk. They watch the shooting stars flit by overhead, and both exclaim when a particularly bright one passes by or makes a loud popping sound. They then retreat into the tent where they eat and weave light magic in the air to entertain each other. Then Asra pulls out a stick of that special incense and the rest of the night is spent rolling in those pillows.
13. Do they have an evening routine?
Julian: When they are home for the night, Azalea will make some tea for them and Julian will pick out a good book. They will sit and read together for a while before drawing a hot lavender bath. They will wash each other and cuddle until the water gets cold. Then a cup of chamomile before going to bed. Fun times may occur at this point.
Lucio: Azalea will spend some time teaching Lucio how to read for as long as she can keep his attention. She will then reward him with some intimate time followed by the lavender bath. She will pour him a glass of wine and tea for herself, and they will talk and tell each other jokes and stories until they fall asleep.
They don't really have a routine; the only routine thing about their evenings is the fact that they go to sleep. They are usually working on experiments together, exploring, reading, drinking, or playing games.
14. Describe a "paid scene" with your character and their LI
Julian: Julian and Azalea are getting ready to attend a soiree at the palace. Azalea helps Julian button his cuffs and slips in some sweet kisses to his wrists. She then tells him to hold his arms up and don't move. She slowly buttons up his shirt, leaving smoldering kisses up his chest as she fastens each button. Julian is a blushing mess, each kiss making him hotter and hotter. When she closes the final button at his neck, she gives him a mischievous love bite right below his collar. She then tells him to help her fasten the back of her dress. He gets a wicked glint in his eye and does as she says, but throwing in a little bit of the temperature magic she had been teaching him. Icy touches make her shudder while hot touches make her groan. He finishes off with a blazing kiss to her shoulder which he drags up her neck and ends with a playful nip to her earlobe.
Lucio: An aerial dancing troupe had performed in the palace earlier that evening. Azalea talked to Nadia and got the troupe to leave their rigs up. The room seems to be littered with draping curtains and ropes. Azalea easily coaxes Lucio into the room and ties a blindfold around his eyes. She tells him to count to ten and then come find her. He does as she asks, but pouts when all he can see are the curtains and ropes swaying. He creeps around each one, listening for her. He hears her giggle and sees some of the curtains move. He dashes forward to find her, but she isn't there. She leads him around the room like this for a good while until finally she spins down from one of the curtains and hangs upside-down in front of him. She gives him that classic Raimi Spider-Man upside-down kiss. He asks her what else she can do from that angle. She replies by sensuously touching him while swaying from the fabric. Eventually, all riled up, he plucks her down from there and hurries off with her to her room.
Imalia tells Asra that she respects the Arcana, but doesn't really hold much reverence towards them since they seem rather useless to her. Asra pulls out his deck and offers to give her a reading. Imalia sighs, but agrees. He lays out three cards and flips one. Just as he suspected, it's The Empress upright. He listens to the card and tells her what it says. "Of all the opportunities you've had, there is one you have wanted more than any other. It scares you, but it's embedded so far down inside you that it's part of who you are. You want more than anything to be a mother." Imalia starts, her face turning a deep red. "It's expected of you," Asra continues, "so a large part of you wants to reject the idea. The idea pins you down to your royal bloodline. But that isn't why you want it. You want it because you want to share the bond that you had with your father with a child of your own. You want to teach them, encourage them, and watch them grow into something amazing." He puts the cards away and looks at her mischievously. "What do you think of the Arcana now?" Imalia grimaces and says "I think they talk too much."
15. Would they go on a double date?
Definitely! Azalea/Julian and Azalea/Lucio have gone on double dates with Imalia/Asra many times! (However, with Azalea/Lucio, Imalia and Lucio typically end up trying to outdo each other with stories of their badassery)
16. Who pops the question?
Julian: They propose to each other!! They both wanted it, knew they did, but weren’t exactly sure how to go about it. They snuck around each other (the only time in their relationship that this happens) and bought rings. Then, on the night each had planned, Julian goes to the kitchen to make them tea and get the ring he’d bought. When he turns around, Azalea is already kneeling in front of him with the ring she’d bought. He’s flabbergasted, and kinda numbly holds out his ring. The next day was full of them guffawing and telling the story to everyone else.
Lucio: He did. It was not at all what Azalea was expecting. She always thought he would propose at a party, in front of everyone in Vesuvia. But no...he waited until they were alone and comfortable, lounging in the grass of the palace garden. He just...asked her. No flourishes, no showy display. As for the ring...he did really well. It wasn't some huge gaudy thing that wouldn't look right on her at all. It was a simple silver band with three gorgeous moonstones set on it. He really thought about what she would like.
She does. They are on holiday together in Nopal during the Painted Daisy Festival. While sitting next to each other at a bonfire, Imalia stands up. She proclaims that she has had the vast fortune of traveling the world, having many adventures, performing great deeds, and teaching some of the brightest minds the world has ever seen. But it all pales in comparison to the person she has fallen in love with. She simply can't see herself doing anything greater than spending her life with him. She kneels down in front of him and produces a golden ring etched in magical runes. She says that he has been there longer than anyone else in her life. Would he mind keeping that bad habit up for a while longer? Say, forever?
17. Describe the wedding
Julian: It takes place at the Palace (at Nadia's insistence). Julian is a nervous wreck, thinking that surely Azalea will change her mind and leave him standing at the altar. Portia smacks sense into him, reminding him that she was part of Azalea's bridal party and had JUST seen her. Imalia is Azalea's maid-of-honor, and is bossing people around like a drill sergeant, accompanied by Mazelinka; they wanted to make sure Azalea could just enjoy this day and not be bothered by the minutiae. When Azalea walks down the aisle, she is a glittering spectacle of white pearls, moonstones, crystals, and feathers from Corva. (she had been saving Corva's shed feathers for this occasion). When they exchange vows, Corva perches on Julian's shoulder, and Malak on Azalea's. They present them with the rings. Que smooches and a hell of a reception with lots of table dancing!
Lucio: Same as above, at the Palace. Nadia and Azalea arranged everything, but kept Lucio's tastes very close in mind. Azalea wanted a nice wedding, but not anything as huge as the Masquerade. The palace was littered with white roses and moonflowers. Imalia actually tended to Lucio in this one. His mother was invited and actually showed up, which made Lucio nervous as hell. Imalia assured him that everything was going to go smoothly, and if Morga did anything, Imalia would do something worse. Despite her choice of groom, Azalea was still her best friend and this day was going to go PERFECTLY. Down the aisle, Azalea was escorted by Mercedes and Melchior. They looked amazing, all clad in white. Azalea’s dress was the same as above, but she actually wore diamonds (even though she hates them). The rings were tied to M&M's collars...which could have been a horrible decision if the dogs got riled up, but Imalia had Balthazaar at the ready to pursue and snatch, should that happen. With the final kiss, sealing the deal, M&M tore out of the sanctuary to chase birds. The reception was a big party, just like Lucio wanted. He never left Azalea's side for a moment, showing her off to everyone in the kingdom.
She and Asra elope. Something to spring on Azalea randomly. XD Plus, Imalia is exhausted with royal and court life; arranging a royal wedding would cause so much headache, and she just knew she would be sending a few nobles to the infirmary with their murmurs about Asra's social standing. Better to just say "Oh, by the way, this is the person I married. Suck it."
18. Any babies?
Julian: Two kids: Nora and Rylen. They both inherit Azalea's premature greying so they enchant their hair like their mother. Auburn at the roots, but Nora's fades into gold. Rylen's fades into deep green. Nora is tall and has the same proclivity for acrobatics that her mother does. She also has a tendency to get into fights. Rylen is shorter and is a bookworm who wants to be a doctor like his father.
Lucio: Two kids: Darien and Etoile. As with the previous two, they inherit Azalea's greying. But they don't enchant their hair. They both like how the blonde roots fade into silver at the ends. Darien is a sweet kid who is just really unlucky. He gets into jams, his magic goes wild, and he tends to lose important things. This is due to whatever deal Morga made when Lucio was a baby. Etoile is an overachiever who is headstrong and bulletproof like her father. She inherits Azalea's smarts which makes her even worse as far as being headstrong because she is, unfortunately, always correct. She does deeply care for her older brother, however, and will knock someone out if they mess with him. She ends up helping him with his crappy luck by making him MANY good luck charms to counteract. The two of them become an adventuring duo, furthering magical research and discovery.
She and Asra have one child (at first; I want to create two more), a daughter named Celestia (Lessie). She is slightly darker of skin tone, with Asra's beautiful white hair and Imalia's crimson eyes. She is coy and mischievous, but can also turn on a dime into a yelling ball-buster. She is best friends with Azalea's kids (both versions) and they get into all sorts of trouble together. She is very good at inventing new magic spells. Mainly good for pranks. She eventually follows in her mother's footsteps and becomes a Magister as well as a potential heir to the throne of Seiruun.
19. Do they stay in Vesuvia, or eventually move somewhere else?
Julian/Lucio: Vesuvia is home. It's where her heart is and it's where she learned all of her greatest lessons in life. She could never leave.
Imalia and Asra set up a portal to Imalia's home country of Seiruun. They have dual citizenship there, and Asra is given the title of Prince since he married Sairuun's only Princess. As such, they have to make appearances at court functions. But Vesuvia is home. Until (or if ever) Queen Dreen Suval has children of her own, Celestia is named the heir to the throne of Seiruun.
20. Talk about that family life. What's it like?
Julian: Azalea continues to run the shop and Julian his clinic. But since the family got so large, they had to move out of the loft and buy a house (they found a nice one close by). Azalea teaches Nora and Rylen how to make potions and tinctures, as well as nurture their magical talents. Rylen wants to be like his father, so Julian takes him on as his apprentice at his clinic and teaches him everything he knows. Azalea has to come to get Nora from the guards after she gets into fights on a somewhat regular basis. She decides that Nora should get a proper "schooling" from Imalia. So Imalia keeps Nora nice and busy and helps her channel her energy to more productive means than fighting. Meals are always spent together as a family.
Lucio: Azalea continues to run the shop, and Lucio actually steps up to help in raising Darien and Etoile. They move into a fancy house. Morga steps in every so often and insists on taking the children out on hunts. When she sees how horrible Darien's luck is, she spends more attention on Etoile. Azalea isn't pleased with this. So she makes Darien her helper and apprentice at the shop and teaches him ways to counter his awful luck. Etoile is the one who figures out exactly what he needs and makes him a LOT of luck charms. They need to be re-energized every so often, but they seem to do the trick and Darien's true potential starts to shine. Morga is forced to eat her words on one hunt when he slays a bear larger than any Morga has ever seen. She begins to piece together Darien's condition and realizes who is actually at fault. Her. So she sets about to rid Darien of the curse of bad luck. Lucio and Azalea love spending time with their kids, reading, telling stories, and playing with magic. Meals are a family event with everyone taking part.
Imalia tries her best not to dote on Celestia, but she just can't help it sometimes. The child is so amazing, and she loves how much like Asra she is. She and Asra take her on family trips the the Magical Realms and help her construct her own Magical Gateway. Asra introduces her to several of the Arcana, and the Magician absolutely adores her. At one point, Celestia manages to slip into the Devil's realm and paints a penis on the frozen Arcana's face. Imalia is immensely proud when Celestia agrees to take on the massive responsibility of becoming heir to Sairuun, but she doesn't put off her education either. Through her own effort and hard work, she becomes a Magister.
BONUS. Petnames.
Azalea calls Julian "Beautiful Beanpole" and "my darling doctor" and Julian calls Azalea "Angel," "darling," and "dearest"
Azalea calls Lucio "Hot Stuff" and "babe" and Lucio calls her "Azzie" (sounds like Ozzy) and "baby"
Imalia calls Asra "Starlight." Asra calls Imalia "Professor." Imalia also calls Lucio "Shitiot" (Shit/Idiot)

For the new 25 lore asks! ONE, THREE, & SIXTEEN for both!
Thank you so much for the ask! ❤️
ONE| Will your OC and their LI ever have kids? If yes, describe their children! Looks, personality, what traits they draw from which parent or whether they would adopt.
w/Julian: They have two kids: Nora and Rylen. They are 22 months apart from each other. Both of them have curly auburn hair like Julian, but they did inherit Azalea's premature greying. So they enchant their hair like their mother.
Nora (older)
Height: 6'
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: very long; curly auburn that fades into blonde. Hangs below her rear. Usually tied back into a loose ponytail.
Eyes: Royal Blue/Gold
Features: Has her father's impressive nose. Swimmer's build. Medium skin, like Azalea.
She wears a brown vest with gold trim and brown capri pants. She wears gold slip-on shoes. She likes to get into scrapes like Julian, but she is acrobatic like Azalea, so she can squiggle out of those scrapes with remarkable ease. She works at the local circus as a magician/acrobat.
Rylen (younger)
Height: 5'8"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short; slightly longer than his father's, hanging just below his ears. Curly auburn that fades into hunter green.
Eyes: Grey
Features: smaller, round nose like Azalea. Medium skin tone.
He is quiet and enjoys reading books. He wears loose-fitting shirts with either a slate blue vest or a deep green coat. He wears black pants and brown knee-high boots. He is actually quite impressive with magic, but like Azalea, he doesn't say much about it. He is training with his father to be a doctor.
w/Lucio: They also have two kids: Darien and Etoile. They are two years apart. They also inherit Azalea's greying hair, but they choose not to enchant it because they both like the blonde that fades into silver.
Darien (older)
Height: 5'9"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short; blonde roots that fade into silver at the ends. He lets it hang loose. (Think Masquerade Lucio)
Eyes: Royal Blue
Features: spitting image of Lucio, but has medium skin like Azalea. Wears glasses.
Darien is very humble like Azalea. He is the type who will get lost in a good book and look up to realize that he's spent a whole day reading. He also likes to play the drums. He usually wears a white button-up shirt with a lavender vest. The vest has various good-luck symbols stitched into the edges, and he wears a vervain boutonnière. He sports leaf-green pants and knee-high brown boots. He runs the magic shop when he is old enough, and acquires quite a few admirers who like to watch him mix potions through the shop windows. "Have you seen that boy who runs the shop?! He's so dreamy!!" He doesn't let it go to his head, though. He has eyes for only one girl...
Etoile (younger)
Height: 5'6"
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: Long; blonde roots that fade into silver at the ends. She usually has it swept back into a long braid.
Eyes: Royal Blue
Features: Etoile is a lovely mixture between Lucio and Azalea. She's got Lucio's face shape, but Azalea's nose and mouth.
She is headstrong, loud, proud, and bulletproof like her father. She can't stay cooped up in one place for very long. She has to go out and explore. She typically wears a white blouse covered with a black corset. She also sports a long black coat with gold embroidery, black pants, and black high-heeled thigh-high boots. She gets lots of attractive attention from others and relishes it.
She and Asra have three children: Celestia, Velian, and Aries (adopted).
Celestia (oldest)
Height: 5'7"
Pronouns: She/Her
Hair: Long; curly and white like Asra with pink lowlights. Typically wears it loose, but also pins the sides back with barrettes.
Eyes: Red like Imalia
Features: Asra's face shape and nose, but Imalia's strong eyebrows and thinner mouth. Slight cleft in her chin. Olive skin tone like Asra.
Celestia also goes by "Lessie" or "Tia." Her facial features resemble Asra very strongly, but she has a strong jaw like Imalia. She is lively and extroverted. She is very open and honest, and very genuine. However, she has her mother's temper and can go from a fairy princess to pale-haired demon in a heartbeat. She likes to wear fashionable yet comfortable clothing. She typically wears a pink long-sleeved blouse with a powder blue bodice. She favors knee-length frilly skirts, usually in white or pale pink. She wears black slip-on shoes, but will also go barefoot a lot. She is the object of Darien/Rylen’s affections.
Velian (middle)
Height: 6'1"
Pronouns: He/Him
Hair: short and curly like Asra, but light brown like Imalia. It stays messy, and that's how he likes it.
Eyes: Lavender like Asra.
Features: Velian is a big, broad guy. He takes after Imalia's father as far as his body. He has a strong jawline, high cheek bones, and a slightly upturned nose (like Imalia). Olive skin tone like his father, but slightly lighter.
He is a mad magical scientist like his mother, but respects magic and what it can do, good and bad. He loves to help Aisha and Salim with whatever they are working on at the moment and LOVES music. He is a tinkerer and enjoys creating new and unique musical instruments. He loves to create carnival-style musical instruments that require carts to be moved around. (think Wintergatan's Marble Machine). He also sports a lute that can double as a mace.
Aries (youngest; adopted)
Height: 5'4"
Pronouns: They/Them
Hair: Shoulder length; sleek black with white forelocks, usually tied into a low ponytail, or a wolf knot.
Eyes: Vivid green
Features: They have a long, slender face with shallow cheek-bones. They have a hawk nose and very full lips. Light skin tone.
Aries is dual-sexed; meaning all the parts. They were a Vesuvian orphan, but it was clear that they weren't born in Vesuvia. Imalia suspects that Aries has a more magical parentage, but it's very hard to tell exactly what (spoiler: they are half-fae). Aries is a child of nature and loves going on trips with their parents. Aries typically wears a very loose tunic that is half black and half white. They wear either black or brown pants with ankle-high brown shoes. Etoile doesn’t want to admit it, but she is fascinated by Aries and wants to get much closer to them.
THREE| Does your apprentice have a close bond with one of the Major Arcana spirits? Which one? What about that Major Arcana drew your character to them or drew them to your character?
The Fool. She was a well of endless possibility and potential. She wasn't afraid to try new things, she had an innocent nature to her, and was quite creative in her magic use. She was a beacon in the Magical Realms, and The Fool loved interacting with her. When the deal was made to give her The Fool's body, The Fool actually agreed wholeheartedly. All that beauty and innocence and talent needed to continue on.
The Empress. Imalia's family has always been vehement about continuing their bloodline because the family has been full of exceptional magic users for hundreds of years. Even though Imalia herself became quite annoyed and at times even resentful of this, there was always a part of her that desperately wanted to be a mother. She loved the bond she had shared with her father. She wanted that kind of bond with her own children. She was already a rather maternal person since she got true joy and pleasure out of teaching others and nurturing their minds. She rarely interacts with The Empress herself, but there are times she hears her voice.
SIXTEEN| Where do your apprentice and their LI live? What is their home like? Big? Small? Who did the decorating?
w/Julian: They live in the magic shop until they have Nora. Then they upgrade to a nicer two-story house across the canal in the Center City. It's well-lit with plenty of windows and gauzy curtains. There are three bedrooms (the already knew they were going to have another child), two bathrooms, a large kitchen, a living/sitting room, and two studies; one for Azalea and her magic, and one for Julian and his medicine. There is also a playroom for Nora and Rylen, which eventually becomes Rylen's study. On the second floor there is a small balcony that doubles as a herb garden. Azalea did most of the decorating since Julian didn't have much taste as far as interior design. There are light catchers hanging from most of the windows, colorful fabrics draped over most of the furniture, fairy lights in the bedrooms.
w/Lucio: Lucio lived with Azalea in the shop for a short while until Nadia gifted them with a very nice estate near the Temple District. Nadia knew Lucio's taste and was still very grateful to Azalea for taking him off of her hands in the first place. The property is quite expansive with room for most of Lucio's pets, and a very nice house for the servants. The main house itself is three stories with many guest rooms, studies, lavish bathrooms, and an impressive master bedroom. The kitchen is open and well-lit, and Azalea will insist on helping the servants with meals. The interior decorating is a happy mixture between Lucio's and Azalea's individual tastes. Rich red curtains pulled open to allow in light with glittering light catchers, lots of gold trim on the furniture, and various vivid colors throughout the house. Lucio has his own trophy room to display his hunting trophies, Azalea has a study to research and practice magic, and an entire room dedicated to wardrobe. There is also a greenhouse for Azalea's magical herbs. The main entry to the house has moonflower vines growing around the door.
Imalia and Asra live in her family estate, at the southernmost point of the Center City.
It is three stories with a basement/wine cellar. The interior is a mixture of light and dark; the hallways and entry room are lit with candelabras. But the rooms themselves have high windows, each one decorated with stained glass at the top. There are many rooms in the estate, but most are unused/storage. The used rooms are: Imalia/Asra's study (a large room with floor to ceiling bookshelves on all of the walls, littered with various tables covered in books, scrolls, artifacts, and scientific/magical apparatus), Imalia/Asra's bedroom (large mostly sparse room with a grand canopy bed, vanity, and closet), the kitchen (more tall than spacious, with eight foot tall mahogany cabinets, prep table, and two stoves), Ben and Avery's rooms, a greenhouse, and three impressive bathrooms. Before Asra moved in, the house was mostly decorated in browns, reds, and golds. All of the furniture is dark mahogany, as is the wood trim around the house. The curtains were usually red or plum, and the furniture had red velvet upholstery. When Asra moved in, more colors began to splash the scenery. The furniture became draped in vivid lively colors, the windows began to have various crystals littering the sills, large plush lounging pillows appeared, and more home carved trinkets became a frequent decoration. After a while, Muriel began to stay at the estate more often when he got involved with Avery, so the presence of homemade charms and wards became a typical sight. Imalia didn't mind at all. In fact, more life in the estate made it seem less dreary and completely drove away the bad memories of her youth.

Snapdragon and sweet pea for your choice of Apprentices?
Snapdragon: What season did/does your apprentice choose to have their wedding in?
Azalea
Azalea adores the spring, and spring weddings are indeed perfect. The world is waking up from a long cold sleep, and all of the flowers and spring showers make everything look alive and smell amazing. And a rainshower during her wedding isn't a bad thing at all, since she draws energy from storms. In fact, a little thunder would be just the perfect touch to her.
Imalia
As much as she loves summer, she wouldn't want a wedding at that time. All those people crowded together in layers and layers of fancy clothes during the summer? No thanks. She'll go for fall, most likely. The trees turn her favorite colors and the fallen leaves give her a nostalgic feeling.
Sweet pea: Does their wedding have a ‘theme’ or a color scheme that they try to adhere to? If so, what is it?
Azalea
w/Lucio: Their wedding has two themes. For the ceremony during the day, it's white and gold with a ton of white roses and feathers decorating everything.
Then during the reception when it becomes night, the theme suddenly changes to stars and nebulae with moonflowers opening up into full bloom.
w/Julian: The theme is sunset at sea. They really play up the colors of Azalea's hair. X3
Imalia
Mal and Asra eloped, but their friends and family (Mal was so HAPPY to have Aisha and Salim as her new parents) insisted on at least holding a big wedding reception for them. The whole theme was magic. Magic everything. Magic lights, magic food, illusions floating through the air, the whole shebang. And as for colors...they went bold.
Thank you so much for the ask!!

A Dramatic Turn of Events
A little scene between Asra and my OC Imalia. And when I say “little,” I mean the very first time they kiss. 😚
@alongtherailway @marinmuffins @asrathemagicalthot @shyest-violet @carowhitewolf
Ko-Fi ☕
Imalia and Asra walked through the ruins, trying to make out the strange symbols etched on each and every pillar. The ghostlike moans of the wind as it wove in between each skeletal stone spire sent shivers down their spines.
"Hmm...agreed." Imalia took a small notepad and enchanted quill out of her bag. "Just sketches today, then." She set to work sketching out various symbols that seemed to be the most frequent.
But the various chips in the cracks suggest that it was once covered in a more opulent stone." She peered closer.
Her hips swayed as she shifted her weight from one foot to the other, causing the leather straps of her coat to shuffle together. She was so focused and intent. This was her element. Out in the world, exploring and studying the lost places that ages forgot long ago. He was so happy she had asked him to come along again. He would have never found a place like this on his own. Plus there was the added bonus of being able to spend so much time with Imalia alone. Here, she was able to let herself soak up the knowledge that she would give so freely to others later. And here she didn't have to be wary of the kind of magic she used. She could do whatever she wanted. And she had wanted to go on another adventure with Asra.
An errant gust of wind through the valley swept through the spires. One spire, not far from Asra, swayed unexpectedly. Its base began to crumble and splinter, the ancient stone turning to powder under gravity's force. Asra's eyes widened as the spire fell right towards him. He held up his hands in a futile effort to protect himself, but he knew he was done for. There wasn't time for him to put up a shield. He heard Imalia scream his name right before the spire crushed him...
And suddenly he was airborne, carried snugly in Imalia's powerful arms. Imalia had lept in and snatched him, jumping free of the falling spire just as it hit the ground.
He watched the destruction beneath them then stared up at Imalia with profound awe.
"Good. I'm so glad." Her crimson eyes darkened and for a brief moment, she seemed full of regret.
"I...I won't let anything hurt you. Ever again."
Asra felt his chest tighten. He knew that look, the look of guilt. She still regretted fleeing Vesuvia after the Red Plague and leaving Asra and Muriel alone to deal with Azalea's death. But Asra had never blamed her; in fact, they had been of like mind during that time. Run. Get as far away as you can, and don't look back. But ever since she had returned, she had been trying as hard as she could to make it all up to him. Taking him on adventures, teaching him about stronger magic and battle spells, giving him unrestricted access to her personal library, showering him with things she had found on her travels. She didn't seem to understand that she just didn't have to. Asra felt a warmth fill him. She had just saved his life; she didn't need to feel any more regret, any more pain or sadness on his part. She didn't have to give and give and expect nothing in return.
"Mal..."
He reached up and pulled her face down towards his. She let out an audible whimper as their lips touched. He could feel her warm breath speed up against his nose.
"Oh Asra," she murmured, taking the kiss deeper. Asra took in a sharp inhale as her arms held him even tighter. The kiss was slow and languid but intense. He could feel her powerful aura sweeping over him, caressing his entire being in a way he had never felt before. He felt her emotions as if they were his own, the uncertainty; regret that morphed into resolve, but also the deeply satisfying thrill of finally tasting him. He felt his own aura reach up to hers, mingling and intwining, begging for the sweet contact he had denied himself for years. And she responded. She enveloped him further, each kiss on his skin an oath and each surge of her aura around him a haven.
The dust below them had settled, and Imalia parted from Asra's warm skin to look into his eyes. Asra gazed back with heavy lids. "How long, Imalia?"
Imalia gave a small smile. "Since I came back to Vesuvia. You?"
"The same."
"Well then. It looks like I can never leave again."
Asra clung to Imalia tighter. "Only if you'll take me with you."
A mischevious glint flashed in Imalia’s eyes. "Since we're in this mindset, my assistant, Avery? She totally has a thing for Muriel."
Asra blinked for a moment then burst out laughing.
"I'll see what I can do," he said.

For the Wedding Bouquet ask! Gardenia, Eucalyptus, Orchid
T___T Thank you so much!
Gardenia: Are your apprentice and their LI married? If not, are there plans to be married in the future?
Azalea
Yes! Azalea marries her LI a little over a year after the events of the game.
Imalia
Also yes! She and Asra get married about a year and a half after the game.
Eucalyptus: What songs are played at your apprentice’s and their LI’s wedding? (repost, I know)
Azalea: Moving pieces full of cellos and violins. And later, fast-paced, high-energy music from local street performers.
Imalia: The loudest most bombastic musicians the city has to offer. This thing is a par-tay!
Orchid: Where do your apprentice and their LI plan to go for their honeymoon?
Azalea
Both LIs: Prakra. It's always been Azalea's greatest wish to visit the Magical University in Prakra. Nadia sets them up with a gorgeous chateau to stay in while they're there.
Imalia
Imalia takes Asra on a tour of her part of the world, the northern hemisphere. (incoming crossover fic info; crossover is from Slayers) They start in her home country of Sayruun, then proceed to the Empire of Lyzeille (best. food. EVER!!!) where they spend a lot of time exploring and visiting all of the magically historic cities there.

Eucalyptus, Rose and Buttercup for both of you ocs?
Thank you so much for the ask!!
Eucalyptus: What songs are played at your apprentice’s and their LI’s wedding?
Azalea: Moving pieces full of cellos and violins. And later, fast-paced, high-energy music from local street performers.
Imalia: The loudest most bombastic musicians the city has to offer. This thing is a par-tay!
Rose: Did your apprentice or their LI do the most planning for the wedding?
Azalea: with both LIs: Azalea did most of the planning, but she had Nadia right at her side to smooth it out.
Imalia: Since she and Asra eloped, the reception was planned by Nadia, Azalea, Ben, and Dreen. They hit it spot on because the entire event was exactly what Imalia and Asra would have wanted.
Buttercup: Who gives the speech at the wedding? How does it go?
Azalea
w/Julian: Mazelinka. She steps up, stating that as the elder in this family, she had the right and privilege to give the wedding speech. She proceeds to tell the gathered loved ones about how she found Julian and Portia and became family to them. Then that one fateful night when Maz got home to find Julian and Azalea there. Maz knew the two of them would get into lots of trouble together. She was glad to come to know Azalea, was glad Portia now had a sister and was beyond ecstatic that there was someone else in the family who she could pass her brews down to. She wishes them the best for the future and demands great-grandkids.
w/Lucio: Technically Nadia. Lucio wrote out a speech to say, but a few sentences in he started crying and couldn't stop. Nadia took the scrap of paper from him and read it for him. She corrected the bad grammar.
"My Darling Azalea:
Welp Well. This is it. I have officially put my balls on a ring and put placed it on your finger. You know, I don't feel bad about it. In fact, I'm still kinda thinking this is all a dream. I hope it isn't a dream. I couldn't stand waking up from it. I could spend forever talking about how awesome you are and how much I love your ass physique, but this is supposed to be a serious speech, so here goes. Azzie, you believed in me when nobody would. And when I didn't deserve it. I screwed up so many times and hurt so many people, but you believed in me. And then you stayed with me. Even when I drove you nuts. Even when I broke your expensive glass thingy in your shop. And THEN...you said you'd marry me. Next to today, that was the best day of my life. I want more best days with you. So here it is, Day 1. I'm ready to go forward, as long as you're next to me."
Imalia
Imalia did. 8) "In all honesty, I never thought I would make it this far with anyone. I never thought I actually wanted it. I always thought that I would be the roguish professor, out gathering priceless artifacts and breaking hearts all along the way. Boy, was I wrong. I did the artifact gathering, but the breaking hearts was never something I was good at. Well...that's not entirely true, but anyway. Life has a way of throwing the unexpected at you. I never expected to be standing here, amongst my friends and loved ones, giving a wedding speech to Asra Alnazar. You wonderful, amazing creature. You have been there for most of my life. Yep. I cannot imagine a life without you in it. Besides Ben, you have been the most consistent thing. You encouraged me, you let me cry on your shoulder, you taught me, and you understood me. We've been through some serious hell together. And to have you at my side as my spouse...it feels like I can do anything in this world. Maybe even other worlds. Who knows? Why don't we find out together?" *raises a glass to Aisha and Salim* "And to my beloved's amazing parents...can I call you 'mom' and 'dad'? *laughs* I'm currently out of parents myself." *looks back to Asra* "And in case you're wondering, Starlight, about what my father would have thought about all this...I have a distinct feeling he would say 'It's about time.'"

Mal Shorts: A Moment of Awkward
Azalea turned slightly so that she could see Asra and Imalia behind her. She watched as Imalia sauntered up to Asra, stood next to him, and ran her finger up his back. Asra let out a loud gasp. Not wanting to waste this golden opportunity of awkwardness, Azalea spun around and said "Asra, are you okay?" Asra and Imalia whirled around, looks of placid, very fake confusion on their faces. Asra's face was several shades redder. "Oh, nothing Azalea, I...was about to sneeze. It didn't pan out." Azalea quirked a gray brow. "Ah. Alright. Maybe you should go into the sunlight for a moment." "Yes." He cleared his throat. "I should. Thank you, Azalea." "No problem." Azalea turned back around and grinned to herself.

1+5 for the valentines day asks
Thank you for this! And thanks to @celeste-the-fire-magician for making the list!
For Azalea
1. If you could choose something to swipe across your love interests lips before kissing them what would it be? Why?
Honey. Honey is very sticky and stubborn, so it will take several licks to get all of it. ^_~ Then...oh my, it's all over my tongue...help me with that, would you love?
5. What’s the first naughty outfit your oc ever wore?
Lucio was gracious enough to go easy on Azalea the first time.
After that...the outfits got more and more complicated.
For Imalia:
1. If you could choose something to swipe across your love interests lips before kissing them what would it be? Why?
Chocolate. Imalia loves chocolate, and swiping it across Asra’s lips would make sure she kisses him quite thoroughly. And she just loves how breathless he is after.
5. What’s the first naughty outfit your oc ever wore?
Imalia didn’t joke around. She went straight to leather. (imagine the vinyl is leather)

Love Like Yours Fest Day 1: Imalia x Asra
Since Azalea’s story is that of the novel, I’m going to start @lovelikeyoursfest Day 1: The Start of Something New with Asra and Imalia. Edited by my darling @sapienstudios-blog.
trigger warning: mentions of parental abuse
Imalia Gabriev walked through the crowded streets and walkways of Vesuvia’s docks. She was in a particularly foul temper because she had yet another wretched fight with her mother. The woman’s cruelty knew no bounds, and Imalia had fled from her family’s estate to blow off steam. The docks were always a favorite place for her, since they were far away from prying eyes.
Her hands ached and stung from the thin steel rod that her mother always used to punish her. She wanted more than anything to shove her screaming fists into someone’s face. She couldn’t do it to her mother, so another target would have to suffice.
Unfortunately, being clad in expensive silks made the fifteen year old girl stick out amongst the dockworkers. More than a few eyes searched her warily as she passed by. She glared back at any who met her crimson gaze. As she turned a corner, she heard a sound that caught her attention. Yelling. She hurried down a side street behind two warehouses so that she could see what was going on. Suddenly, she saw charging through a group of fishermen, a small white-haired child of about nine or ten with a dark complexion. Not far behind him were a group of five much larger and older boys in hot pursuit.
“Come back here, you little shit!!” screamed one of the boys.
“We’ll rip off your hide and use it to wipe our asses!!!” shouted another.
A surge of glee flooded through Imalia. She didn’t know what was going on here, but it didn’t matter to her...there was a fight to be had. And OOooohohoho, she wanted a fight. And five against one was supremely unfair odds. She bolted further down another alley so that she could cut the bullies off. Pressing herself against a corner, she waited for the small child to pass by. Once that happened, she boldly stepped out and took a firm stance. Immediately the pursuing group skidded to a halt.
“What the-”
“Move out of the way, noble!” the one up front commanded.
“Look, he’s getting away!!” another shouted.
Imalia smirked. “Why not mess with someone who’s actually a challenge, you fucking cowards?”
The bully up front looked surprised for a moment. “Are you stupid?”
“Yeah, she’s stupid, she’s a fucking noble!” one in the group hissed.
“Not as stupid as your piece of shit face,” Imalia replied.
The group exchanged glances but began advancing toward her. Imalia raised her fists in preparation.
“Look at this, little rich girl wants to tussle,” one bully from the back taunted.
“Well she just cost us fifty gold,” said another.
The head bully cocked his head to the side. “Yeah, that’s right. That kid got away with our stash. So I guess we’ll have to take it out of you instead.”
“Bring it, you goddamn bookies!” Imalia sneered.
The head bully rushed forward and swung at her. Imalia ducked and responded by smashing her fist into his jaw in a crushing uppercut. She roared in a mixture of pain and rage as she felt his teeth collide violently together and he toppled backward, clutching at his face and shrieking. Imalia laughed as her adrenaline built her righteous indignation, coinciding with the other four looking at their fallen comrade in astonishment. It was only brief, however, as they all turned their attention on her with anger.
“You bitch!” one of them shouted, and they all charged.
Imalia cackled, her fists flying at the assailants. She caught another of the bullies in the face and they staggered back, but the other three were on her before she could strike again. A punch that was much stronger than she anticipated hit her square in the stomach. She doubled over in pain, with the breath knocked out of her lungs.
“Hah, not so tough now!”
She was thrown to the ground and assaulted with a flurry of kicks all over her body. Throughout the pain, Imalia caught herself thinking that it still hurt less than her mother’s rod. The group paused and Imalia coughed, a taste of iron in her mouth. She felt someone grab her by the hair and pull her up.
“What was that you said? ‘Might actually be a challenge,’ right?” She was slapped roughly across the face and thrown back to the ground. A foot was planted right on her skull and began to apply pressure. Imalia groaned, reaching for the offending limb, but found herself screaming when another foot crushed down on her hand. The pain of the pressure along with the previous injuries made her see stars.
She was seriously starting to worry for her life when several bright flashes caught her attention. Some of the thugs shouted and parted from her. Imalia was deeply grateful when the foot on her head departed. She struggled upright and saw sparks exploding all around her like fireworks. The gang cursed and ran around, a couple of them slamming into each other before they all took off.
Imalia looked around to see where the magic had come from. Her vision was slightly blurred and her head throbbed from the fight, but then she saw two figures creep out from the shadows. The first was the white-haired kid. The second was a surprisingly large boy with messy black hair and vivid green eyes. They slowly approached her.
“Hi,” the white-haired child said. “Are you alright?”
Imalia shook her head and coughed out a chuckle. “Who, me? Yeah, I’m good.”
“You don’t look...good,” the large boy said.
Imalia flushed. “Just some bruises.”
The white-haired child knelt down next to her. “Here, let me help you.” He held out his hands which began to glow. Imalia watched as his aura flared, brilliantly sparkling. He passed his hands over her bruises which began to fade.
“So that’s where the magic came from,” she said.
The child smiled. “Better?”
Imalia examined herself. Despite her clothing being ruined, she didn’t feel much pain.
“Oh, wait, I missed some.” The child reached for Imalia’s hands. She instinctively jerked back and thrust them into her pockets. He looked confused. “But your hands…”
Imalia bit her lip. “I...it’s just…” She heaved a sigh and produced her hands for him to inspect. He gingerly took one of her hands and looked it over. His lavender eyes went wide.
“These aren’t from the fight, are they.”
Imalia looked away. “No. They aren’t.”
The two kids exchanged glances. Imalia could tell they knew cane wounds. The white-haired child exhaled and his aura flared again. Passing his hands over the wounds, they began to knit and fade. Imalia heaved a sigh of relief when the pain faded with them. He repeated the same with her other hand.
“There you are,” he said with a grin.
Imalia flexed her fingers, working the stiffness out.
“Thanks,” she said.
“No problem. You helped me out and I’m truly grateful. Those guys took a pendant from an old merchant and it was all he had left of his wife.”
Imalia blinked. “Ah. Then I guess I got my ass kicked for a good cause.” She stood to her feet, brushing the dirt from her clothes. She winced at the frays and tears to her garments. Her mother was going to take this out on her for certain.
“I’m Asra,” the kid said. “And this is Muriel.” He gestured to the large boy beside him.
“Imalia Gabriev.” Imalia pursed her lips. “You look like you could have taken a few of them, Muriel.”
Muriel flushed and looked away.
“He doesn’t like to fight,” Asra said.
“Ah.”
“You were looking for a fight,” Muriel said.
Imalia glared. “Maybe. What of it?”
“It’s never smart to go looking for a fight,” Asra said. “You could get hurt.”
“What about you, shorty?” Imalia said. “You can use magic. You could have beaten them easily.”
Asra gave a coy smirk. “I was wearing them out first.”
“Sure,” Imalia said. Her smirk faded. “I can use magic too,” she said. “I could see your aura.”
“Then why didn’t you use it?” Muriel asked.
Imalia gritted her teeth. “I’m...not allowed.”
“Not allowed to use magic?” Asra inquired. “Why?”
“Because my mother thinks it’s below me,” Imalia said. “Personally, I think she’s just afraid of what I can do.” Imalia held out her hand and conjured a flame in her palm. It danced and flickered briefly before she made a fist and snuffed it. “My family was full of amazing sorcerers. My father is one too, but he doesn’t practice anymore.” She heaved a heavy sigh. “My mother got to him too.”
Asra bit his lip. “Was it your mother who hurt your hands?”
Imalia started at the blunt question. She tried to think of something else to say, but her anger flared from inside her.
“Yes. She did.” Flame flashed in her eyes. “She lashes my hands when I don’t do things as well as she wants.”
Asra and Muriel looked appalled. “Mothers aren’t supposed to do that, Imalia,” Asra said.
Imalia huffed. “I wouldn’t know.” She shuffled her feet for a moment. “So...I appreciate the healing. You, uh...both look like you’ve missed a few meals. Want to join me for something to eat?”
Asra and Muriel both lit up like beacons. “Of course!!” Asra said.

Apprentice April Asks #1 Azalea/Imalia
Here are my answers to my Apprentice April Asks #1. Thanks so very much to @leis-main-blog and @verysoftthings for sending me asks! I honestly wasn’t expecting it. ^^; I tend to write books about these two, so I made a separate post.
1. The Basics. What is your character's name? How old are they? How tall are they? Skin color? Eye color? Hair color? Gender identification?
Azalea Larinya Nevra. 30, female. 5'6"; medium skin tone; eyes blue with gold around the pupils; hair aqua to coral ombre; medium length
Imalia Vilyana Gabriev. 36, female. 5'10"; fair skin tone; eyes crimson; hair brown with burgundy ends; very long (art by @carowhitewolf)
2. Love Interest. Who does your character love? What attracted them to that particular LI?
Julian/Lucio (different universes).
Julian - she loved how kind he was, and she adored his bumbling. She was compelled to help him because his cause was right. He couldn't be guilty, he was too much of a good man. She really wanted to help him with his own inner demons as well because he didn't deserve to suffer, even at his own hand. That glorious chest didn't help either, lol.
Lucio - she thought he was overall adorable. Yeah, he was hot as hell, but it was his personality that got her heart thumping. He really was brave and skilled, and she had a feeling that not many others had appreciated it much. Yeah, he had done some horrendous things; but Azalea could see the actual changes happening in him and she knew that he had hope.
Asra. She had known Asra since she was 15 and he was 8. They had a good 20 year friendship and she knew him very well. She fell for him when that friendship veil lifted after the events of The Arcana story and she finally really noticed how beautiful he was. "He's smart, kind, talented, awesome...AND hot?! THE WHOLE PACKAGE?! I'm such an idiot..."
3. Familiar. Does your character have a familiar? How did they meet?
Corva, a white raven. She met Corva when Malak led her to an alley where Corva was lying on the ground with a broken wing. Azalea nursed Corva back to health, and Corva refused to ever leave. (image c. Mike Yip)
Balthazaar, a phoenix. Balthazaar was one of the phoenixes in the magical menagerie at the University of Prakra. He was ornery, and the handlers had a hard time with him. Imalia liked how stubborn he was and over time developed a rapport and closeness with him. The university allowed her to claim him as her familiar and take him home. (image c. Kiss Clip Art)
4. Hobbies. What kinds of things does your character like to do for fun?
Parquor. She loves running around, slipping up buildings, jumping over rooftops and sliding down poles. XD She's a very high-energy person and parquor keeps her healthy and mentally sharp. She also enjoys writing. She will write on just about anything that has her attention at the moment. Magical theory is one of her favorite subjects, but she does enjoy writing fiction.
Her hobby...is harassing bandits. She gets perverse joy out of robbing robbers blind. If she can find the original owners of things that were stolen...awesome. If not...hey, this is an ancient Drakrian fertility statue! I'm gonna put this on my shelf at home. Oh, and leaving off-color messages in ancient languages in ruins. "Here I sit all broken-hearted..."
5. Hidden talents. Is there something neat that your character can do? Tie a cherry stem into a knot with their tongue? Say any word backwards perfectly?
Azalea is kinda like Sherlock Holmes. She can look at a person and form their entire story in her mind. She never uses it against someone; she just uses it to be more friendly. But if you're annoying her and won't go away...she will scare you with what she has figured out about you.
Imalia secretly loves to sing and isn't terrible at it. She's one of those people who will sing in the bath, and if someone mentions it, she acts like it didn't happen.
6. Magical talents. Is there a specific type of magic that your character excels at? Any magic they aren't so great at? Or do they actually shy away from magic altogether?
Lightning. She's good at conducting the currents and utilizing its explosive capabilities. She also uses lightning as a personal shield while in battle. She is also really good at enchanting things; like her hair. She makes enchanted dreamcatchers that actually catch nightmares. Both Julian and Lucio appreciate this ability. (Lucio's dreamcatcher needs to be cleansed more often than Julian's)
Fire and Darkness. Imalia is in tune with fire and is extremely good at using it to its fullest potential; absolute destruction. As for the darkness...that will be explained in number 12.
7. Interaction. How does your character typically interact with people?
She is very polite, but not overly so. She tries to come off as someone you can actually have a conversation with. Sometimes if she's feeling nervous, she will go into overly-polite mode, but if the vibe starts to feel calmer, she will loosen up. She is very energetic and sometimes hyper with her friends.
She is ingratiating and very proper until you piss her off. Then you get things like "Why don't you get a horse, move up to the mountains, and don't bother anybody? You have the personality of a dead moth." (RIP Don Rickles) With friends, she's very laid back and frank with what she says.
8. Romance. What is something that your character and their LI love to do together? How do they show affection?
Azalea x Julian - They LOVE to read together. They have spent hours cuddled up together over a good book. Azalea shows Julian affection with gentle touches, kisses, and koala hugs. (she really loves how tall he is) She also makes sure he eats and gets plenty of rest. More than once, she has brought him dinner to his clinic while he was working late.
Azalea x Lucio - They love to spar. They are so different in fighting style that sparring really helps them improve their skills. Also, the prize at the end for the winner is quite nice. ^_~ Azalea shows Lucio affection by listening to him and holding him. She also likes to try to out kiss him. He reaches for her hand, she spins away and plants two on his cheek instead.
Imalia and Asra love to travel the Magical Realms together. They get into really long and in-depth conversations about the things they see and experiment with how their willpower affects the realm around them. Imalia shows affection by constant words of praise and sneaky touches and kisses. The more she can surprise him, the better. She also keeps a hefty supply of Lapsang Souchong tea at her estate for him and loves giving him little trinkets and things she has found on her travels.
9. Travel. Does your character like to travel outside of Vesuvia? How often? For how long? What kinds of things do they do away from home?
Yes. She loves to see more of the world and meet new people and see different cultures. She will travel maybe once every year or two. When traveling, she will typically stay away for 1-2 months. She loves adventure, but she does love her home more. Azalea loves to learn new types of magic or new methods of spellcasting from different cultures. She finds that certain techniques make her own magic stronger.
Definitely. She herself is originally from the northern hemisphere, so travel isn't something new to her. She gets wanderlust sometimes and has to get out into the world. She will be gone typically for six months when she decides to travel. She has been gone for three years before. She HAS to investigate old ruins wherever she goes. Who knows that treasures or knowledge lay inside? She must find out!
10. WTF. Has anything just...weird ever happened to your character? Something that made them stop and go "What just happened?!"
She was trying to brew a potion that would allow the drinker to become a mermaid for a short while. She ended up spilling it on a plant before it was done. The plant sprouted tiny muscular hairy legs and arms, stood up, walked to the window, shook its fist at her, and jumped out. Turns out she had forgotten a key ingredient in the early stages of brewing the potion. Mazelinka made fun of her for a solid week.
One time, she and a rival mage were about to have a battle. Right before they were to begin, this strange fellow wearing a sentient red cape fell from the sky and landed in between them. He promptly stood to his feet, apologized for the intrusion, and left. (Yes...I do mean Doctor Strange fell from the sky)
11. Crime. Has your character ever been arrested? If so, what did they do? Have they ever helped stop a crime?
She has never been arrested, however, she is guilty of petty larceny. It's not something she does often...just when some jerk needs to be taught a lesson. They always get their stuff back, but she will make sure they are thoroughly inconvenienced. She has stopped another thief before. The thief took the purse of an elderly individual who was trying to buy food. Azalea scaled up to the rooftops and cut the thief off, holding him down until the guards caught up and arrested him. She gave the money back to its owner.
Yep. She's been arrested plenty of times. Usually for assault and/or destruction of property. Hey, that jerk deserved to have his carriage set on fire. She has stopped several assassination attempts on her cousin, Queen Dreen Suval of Seiruun. She has also stopped dark plots at the Magical University in Prakra.
12. Secrets. What is a secret your character has? Are they in line for the throne in a far off land? Was there this one time at band camp...? Are they secretly involved in an assassin's guild?
Azalea secretly writes smut. She loves it. And her actual hair color is gray. The aqua-coral is an enchantment.
Imalia actually is in line for the throne of Seiruun; second in line, to be exact. But she HATES this. It's why she continues to live in Vesuvia rather than her home country. Imalia is also no longer entirely human. During an adventure that went terribly wrong, she summoned the Lord of Nightmares while inside the Magical Realms. (The Lord of Nightmares or "Lon" is an eldritch goddess) Lon then proceeded to implant herself inside Imalia. Lon is a being of pure darkness and nightmare, so Imalia has control over darkness when she taps into Lon's power. Through some creative wording, the contract between the two of them allows Imalia to use Lon's power and form when she needs to; however, Imalia is forever plagued by terrible nightmares that not even Azalea's dreamcatchers can stop. The dreamcatchers just catch on fire.
13. Overcompensation. Is there something that your character just HAS to do better than anyone else? Or are they just that dang good without trying? If they see someone else showing off, what is their kneejerk reaction?
She's actually quite humble. If she sees someone showing off, she really just concerns herself with their safety. "Please don't be careless and die, please!" But she IS gifted. Her magic is insanely strong, she just doesn't like to make a big deal out of it. She gets embarrassed.
She is the best in the room, and you'd better damn well know it. Unless she respects you. Then she will tone it down. But if she sees a showoff...she's got to mess with them. She's got to show them that they aren't all that and a bag of chips.
14. Fight Club. Is your character a good fighter? What kind of skills do they have?
She's pretty decent. Her attack magic is awesome, but her physical fighting mainly relies on how quick and squirmy she is. Her punches hurt, but they don't incapacitate.
She can fight pretty damn well. Her father made sure of it after most of her family was killed by assassins (it does sometimes really suck to be royalty). She is a heavy hitter and her intent is to end a fight with one strike. It doesn't always work, but hey...second, third, maybe fourth time is the charm. Or maybe you should just blow it the hell up.
15. The Arts. Is your character a creative type? What kinds of things can they create? Can they act? Street perform?
She is. Like mentioned earlier, she writes and makes dreamcatchers; she also gets into stage acting with Julian (when he's her LI). She's not a solo performer though. She has to be in a troupe or else she gets massive stage fright.
She can draw very well, almost photo-realistically. She mainly uses this skill for documentation when she's studying something. But every great once in a while she will draw a political cartoon making fun of some noble. Once she drew a penis on the face of one of Lucio's statues. He snapped back "I'd never put something that small in my mouth!" She retorted by drawing a full body penis on a different statue. It got misinterpreted by many townspeople as "Hey, look! Lucio is a dick!!"
16. Goofy. Is your character a clown? Do they like to make people laugh?
She does. She doesn't see herself as funny, but when she slips in something humorous into whatever she's talking about it usually takes whoever is listening by surprise. Spit your drink kind of humor.
YES. She has such a strange way of speaking sometimes that you can't help but snort at the things she says. Yes, it is entirely on purpose. She loves to crack jokes and has a self-deprecating sense of humor at times. She will also be hilariously over-confident as well.
17. Language. Is your character multilingual? How many languages do they speak? Do they have an accent? Is it sexy? Is it silly? Do they have the multilingual lisp?
No. She only speaks her native language.
Yes. Imalia speaks ten different languages. In her normal language, she doesn't have a multilingual lisp; but in about four of her other languages, she does. It drives her nuts, but she just can't seem to fix it.
18. Embarrassment. What is something really embarrassing that your character has done/said?
Azalea can't remember this, because it's part of the memories she lost. But Imalia remembers. One time she was going to meet one of the magisters of the Magical University of Prakra to see if she would be accepted. She spent weeks preparing how to introduce herself. On the day of, she mentioned how excited she was to meet Magister Asshole. Imalia blinked and said, "It's pronounced Ah-shole."
One time she said something quite rude about Lucio in front of Azalea (when Lucio is Azalea's LI). Azalea proceeded to tear her a new rectum, claiming that for someone so smart, she was incredibly closed-minded.
19. Memory. Has your character gotten any of their memory back? If so, what? Did it change them?
No. She insists that she doesn't want her memories back because she likes who she is now. She gets the important information from Asra and Imalia...her parents’ and aunt's names, what they were like, and how they died. That's all she feels that she needs.
*looks at me* "I'm exempt from this question. I'm your OC, not your MC." *walks out*
20. Family. Talk about your character's family. Who were they?
Her mother (Etoile) and father (Galen) were traveling merchants. Her mother was the one with magical talent. Her mother's sister (Sylvaine) owned the shop and taught Azalea most about magic. When Azalea was 13, her parents were robbed and killed by bandits just outside of Vesuvia. She lived with Sylvaine until she died of pneumonia when Azalea was 20.
Imalia's father was Vitalric Gabriev and her mother was Narsial Trevallan. When Imalia was 14, her father's family (the Sairuun royal family) were murdered by assassins sent by a rival country. Only Vitalric (and Narsial), Imalia, Vitalric's older brother Rhemun and his daughter Dreen survived. Rhemun and Dreen remained in Seiruun to run the place while Vitalric and his family moved to Vesuvia as a failsafe in case there were other assassination attempts. Vitalric started studying to become a doctor, while Narsial started grooming Imalia to wed into a noble family. Narsial was extremely abusive. Long story short, King Rhemun died of a hunting injury, and both of Imalia's parents died in the Red Plague.
