i know the most uh. let’s say important matches are satoshi vs gladio and satoshi vs kukui but to be honest my fav matches aside from those are suiren vs mao and kaki vs maamane, they never fail to make me cry
#satoshi vs guzma too........#when notebook of the heart starts playing i start crying#ari rewatches sm. again#the way they all give their all bc they want to win#bc they want to prove themselves#and show how much they've grown. how much they've learnt#it's about the chara development. i love those kind of battles#the alola league is so good.....#i have soooo so many thoughts my brain is so full#like. guzma repeatedly tells satoshi to give up. to forfeit the battle while he still can#and satoshi refuses every time. he will never run away from a battle#and then. AND THEN golisopod decides that no. he’s not running away anymore either#guzma notices this and decides to face his fears head on. it’s ok even if you lose. there’s nothing wrong w that#mao too. she didn’t want amajo to push herself too hard and was ready to give up herself#but thanks to suiren and amajo she gives her all to the very end#and maamane? deep down he knows he can’t beat kaki. and yet he tries. and he comes up w/ really good strategies actually#have i already said i love the alola league#people can complain all they want ‘aNyOne CaN eNtEr’ ‘ThAt wIn DoEsn’T cOunT’#idc!!!! i’d rather watch battles that involve charas i’m actually invested in#rather than a random chara showing up just to beat everyone#anyway.#end of my ramblings adjshjsh

I'm curious about a bunch of these so I'll just ask the bunch together:
Whose ur favorite bachelorette(s), non romanceable chara, monster, non-mc otp and a headcanon you have?
Oh boy this is gonna be a doozy of an answer lol
Fav bachelorette — I’m super gay for (most of) the guys, so honestly none of the bachelorettes appealed to me as marriage candidates. That said, I really identify with Lucy’s whole arc and feeling disproportionately responsible for my loved ones. I especially like when these characters actually get a chance to take care of themselves. Sure, I don’t exactly like the way RF5 goes about it (the forced truth mirror was kind of heavy handed and took away her agency…), but everything else was nice. My runner ups are Beatrice and Scarlett. Bea is just a sweetheart, I have nothing bad to say about her. As for Scarlett, well, I got attached to her because she became such an important supporting character in my fic. I didn’t intend for her to be the closest thing Ari has to a best friend, but she surprised me.
Fav non-romanceable character — Heinz, hands down. That goofball has a terrible first impression in-game and he’s really done dirty by only being characterized by his ineptitude and lazy attitude, but man, I’ve gotten so attached to him because of his role in my fic. I was really able to develop his backstory and personality into exactly what I wanted since there was so much room for reinterpretation. Before I started this fic, though, I probably would have said Terry or Misasagi. Both of them have good heads on their shoulders, and I like the mysteries they represent.
Fav monster — Chipsqueek! Those little red squirrels are the cutest dang thing on the planet. They’re kind of useless as a battle companion, but I like bringing them around with me just because anyway. Also, in every RF game I’ve played (Frontier, rf5, and currently rf3 special), I’ve named the first one I’ve caught Poppy.
Non-MC otp — I’m a multishipper, so I won’t say there’s only one way I like characters to be shipped. That said, I’m particularly fond of Cecil/Fuuka (thank you Aashi for selling me on them!) and Martin/Ryker. For other pairings, I think Lucy/Priscilla is cute, but I’d be really interested to see Priscilla/Reinhard (Priscilla gets to live out her princess dreams) and Lucy/Murakumo (competitive bleeding heart plus the expert judge of games). Outside my fic, I also love Lucas/Terry (courtesy of @kardia-library-official for introducing me to the idea).
A headcanon — oof I have so many at this point, it’s hard for me to remember what’s actually canon and what’s stuff I’ve dumped into all of its plot holes. I think a big one for worldbuilding is that I named the town that’s near Rigbarth (the one that Ryker goes to when he steals that crown). It’s called Fenarva, which is sort of a portmanteau based on the names of all of the other villages/towns of Norad. I imagine Fenarva is closer in size to a city, and it has ports for regular ships and airships. They get travelers from the mainland, Isle of Elves (this also needs a name), the Eastern Continent (gods please Marvelous give us an actual name for this country when Project Dragon is released), and Fenith Island. Most of the tourists who visit Rigbarth come from Fenarva, too, since it’s only about half a day’s trip to get from one town to the other (well, travel takes longer now because of the recent increase in monster attacks…). Rigbarth’s economy really relies on these folks and the people from the other side of the Gadeus Grasslands too (still need to put another town over there too). Also, for everybody else writing fics based on RF5, y’all are free to use Fenarva, too.
I have other, more interesting headcanons especially about gods in general and what sort of god Lucas is, but a lot of it gets into spoiler territory. Unfortunately for all of us, however, I have yet to figure out how to work in these things into my fic. It’ll come up eventually, somehow, but probably not until late Act II or somewhere in Act III. I hope y’all can bear with me until then.

Fall anime 2020
And wow, it’s the last season of 2020! May the new year be a lot better, not just anime related!
{ Winter ‘18 } { Spring ‘18 } { Summer ‘18 } { Fall ‘18 } { Winter ‘19 } { Spring ‘19 } { Summer ‘19 } { Fall ‘19 } { Winter ‘20 } { Spring ‘20 } { Summer ‘20 }
Alongside the continuations and new seasons like fire force, danmachi, mahouka koukou no rettousei, golden kamuy and so, these are the new shows that we started:
100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru
It is pretty typical isekai anime, just that it has twist and they can go back to their world every time they do a quest. I could see potential in characters and their development, but they aren’t kind of characters I would care about or watch something with meh plot for. Maybe they are building up for something cool, but for now, it was kind of boring for me.
Akudama Drive
Overwhelmingly cool show about criminals in a dystopian future world. There is not much to say about the story without spoiling other than being so unnecessary cool that I loved it an unnatural amount! The characters, the setting, the action scenes, the animation and conversations, everything is just so aesthetic! I looked forward to it every week! Gonna miss them a lot. Just beware of a lot of violence and blood scenes (even though they are mostly censored).
By the Grace of the Gods
A really soft isekai with a boy who tames slimes. This is that one (at least) show of the season where you can just turn off your brain, watch some cuteness and forget about everything. It comes with no strings attached, you can drop it halfway and not think twice about it, it won’t make you feel bad in any way, just happiness and rainbows, and sometimes that’s what I need.
Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima
Women rule the world and pretty boys rap to assert dominance. That’s it, that’s the premise and if you think that ridiculous, yes, it truly is haha If you want to have a laugh, listen to some rapping (can’t say much about the quality of it, but I enjoyed it immensely, good va’s!), go watch it. The plot quality is debatable to say the least, but it’s not really an anime about the story, rather about the 12+ guys and their friendships and rivals and well... rap.
Ikebukuro West Gate Park
Although a little bit on the improbable side to happen IRL, Ikebukuro WGP showcases multiple situations where we dive behind the back of many realistic happenings in bigger cities. There is always some company in conflict with another thinking solving it in their way is the best possible choice, not taking into consideration what happens to the little people bearing their consequences. It is of course up to the “good mafia” guys to solve it. If you are reading the Webtoon Weak Hero and are in search for some more realistic gang divisions, then feel free to give this anime a try. It has a pretty lovable and crafty MC minus the high-school setting.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Ohh my where to start xD yes, you are looking at the fan favorite anime of this season and there is no doubt about it having that title. I can go on and try to convince everyone saying it has the perfect animation, soundtrack, appearance of the characters and so on but to truly experience it, you will have to watch it. Character development is on the slower track but it is understandable since it is obvious that the series will be a “long distance runner”. What impressed me the most is the perfect balance of humor and tragedy, so if you are one to typically enjoy shonen anime, give it definitely a try through the 3 episodes rule!
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
A girl got isekai’d in a game and now finds friends and people she cares about. Oh and she’s in a bear suit. This was one of those shows I watched for relaxation. There are no bad emotions coming from it and you can just relax, watch something that doesn’t need you to turn on your brain and try to be happy. If you are looking for something serious, you won’t really find it here.
Majo no Tabitabi
A witch that travels the world, visiting many cities and meeting a lot of people, hearing their stories and moving on. Not action packed, but has things happening throughout the eps. I thought it would be another happy show, but it turned to be quite dark in some episodes. Most episodes have their separate story with minimal connection to the previous ones and some are heartwarming and some are downright grim. Overall, the plot is interesting and the MCs development and way of thinking is interesting too!
Maoujou de Oyasumi
I KNEW this one is gonna be good when I first read the description of the manga in the bookstore 2 years ago xD What you see above is a small princess who wishes nothing more than a good sleep and a bunch of demons who decided to capture her. It becomes clear early on that she isn’t your typical prisoner as she sets out on quests to find stuff to make her rest more comfortable and NOTHING is gonna stand in her way. Your time watching this anime will be filled with heartfelt laughter and love for the all the characters. Yes, some people might be triggered by her actions and personality but I do believe since I (as a person who prefers to watch shonen) am impressed with it, a great number of people will like it.
Munou na Nana
I really love this anime. MC is an antagonist, pretty much an antihero, but she was made to believe that she is the hero. She is very smart, so anything she plots end up interesting. This show always keeps me on the end of my seat. And it’s a great combination of everyone has supernatural abilities + high school setting, but with a darker twist to it. It’s one of my favorites this season!
Noblesse
I read the webtoon and I am fan of it, so I am really happy to see Noblesse became an anime! Characters are really awesome and plot is action packed. I’m sure you won’t regret watching it! The humor, the lore and the action is very well balanced and it’s just a good story. If you feel like you really like the anime, but something is missing and you have some time, the webtoon is amazing! Of course, they actually did the anime quite well, but some jokes or additional train of thought that goes in the characters head cannot be all transferred into the animation. Oh and - watch Noblesse: Awakening before this! That’s like the crash course of the first arc of the story.
Taiso Samurai
A MAPPA anime about a japanese gymnast on the verge of retirement, his daughter and a ninja they adopted! That about covers it! It’s a soft and heartwarming story that really leaves a good feeling after watching it. The characters are lovable and the drama side of the story levels out with humor pretty well, without glossing over stuff too much. I can’t say much about the sports aspect since I don’t know much, but it was worth the watch even though it isn’t the most amazing action-packed anime ever. But it was a solid story, good charas and was just soft.
With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun
One and a half minute of a lady with a cat and a dog being incredibly relatable.
Yuukoku no Moriarty
Ah yes, I’m a sucker for every possible variation of sherlock homes, so it’s no wonder how much I enjoyed this. It’s centered about Moriarty, but Sherlock has his time in the later half of the show. The animation is just so beautiful, I loved the stories and mysteries and the way they handled Moriarty as a character. Also a good mixture of mystery, people being hideous creatures, main characters being pretty af and humor. I should continue to the manga now.

“Keep your silver -- give me that gold! You remember when I say, ‘We can be heroes everywhere we go!’ Keeping us down is impossible, 'Cause we're unstoppable!”
~“Unstoppable” by the Score
x~x~x~x
Oh, @lifeofkaze~! Look what I just finished!! 🤗
Yeah, Kaze and I were chatting over the MMORPG AU idea I had (and @samshogwarts and @that-scouse-wizard encouraged me in!! 😘), and we decided to brainstorm some stuff for our kiddos, Reva Amari and Farid Sikander, in such a set-up. This is basically what we came up with --
Reva Amari is a very popular and well-respected professional gamer who online fans call “Starless.” She’s just started playing this new MMORPG called The Crown of Phantasia -- a state-of-the-art game with a Final Fantasy XIV-style gameplay, a Legend of Zelda-esque visual aesthetic, some virtual-reality-adjacent tech in the equipment that allows the player to feel hits through the wireless controller and use Voice Command to launch certain attacks, and some very, very good custom animations for those players who reach high enough levels in the game. She’s well on her way -- with the help of the guild that funds her -- to making it to the top of the ranks in this new game and in the process cementing her reputation, when out of nowhere, her Ninja character gets challenged to a PvP match by a weird White Mage with oddly high stats and no guild called “Nobody.” Despite technically having lower stats than her character, Nobody ends up completely wiping the floor with Starless, all while Reva was doing a livestream with dozens of people watching.
Needless to say, Reva’s guild isn’t too thrilled about this, but just about everyone else watching Reva’s streams and playing Crown of Phantasia is immediately intrigued by this player who was able to advance so far in the game all with seemingly no help. Reva’s itching for a rematch, and upon being coaxed by the guild to try to recruit Nobody, approaches him. The two battle several more times more casually, and it’s through these battles that Reva -- who initially thought this “Nobody” was screwing with her head whenever he put off such a laid-back, patient, amiable affect -- realized he truly was as nice as he let off. It turns out that Nobody -- or his player, Farid Sikander, who deliberately keeps his name to himself -- is only playing this game for fun, and didn’t even realize who Reva was until someone else told him. Reva and Farid grow closer through their characters, and they even end up doing quests together on joint streams, though Farid always wears a hood to obscure his identity whenever he’s on camera and goes out of his way to remain “Nobody” and not reveal much about himself. (Many of these hoods often belong to cosplay costumes for characters like Aragon as Strider from The Lord of the Rings or Connor Kenway from Assassin’s Creed.) Over time, Reva and Farid do more and more quests together, legitimately having fun playing together and becoming closer. Although Reva has her guild kind of leaning on her to stop playing low-level quests she could do alone when she has a whole guild to play with, and although Farid has a lot of stuff happening in real life that he wants to escape from through the game, they start developing feelings for each other, and...well, yeah, that’s where the story comes in! 💛
Reva’s Starless design is based loosely on Catra from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, but with longer caracal-like ears, while her outfit was initially inspired by this ninja look from Final Fantasy, but with a split cape that comes off of each arm the way Amulet Diamond’s cape does in the anime Shugo Chara. Farid’s Nobody design is most inspired by this White Mage look from Final Fantasy, though I did give the hood a kind of “Assassin’s Creed” look and I decided to give him blue skin so as to evoke Krishna, the Hindu god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love. (Hey, Farid may be Muslim, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t read stuff about other religions and philosophy in general! This kiddo is a smart cookie!!)
Hope you guys like it, and that your evening is magical! Much love!! xoxo
#mmorpg au#hpma#magic awakened#farid sikander#reva amari#my art#forgive me if I make mistakes about mmorpg's I must confess I'm much more familiar with tabletops#I'm just glad I was able to talk to kaze about them a bit XD;;#but yes of course farid's brother malik both turned farid onto this game AND provides him with all those cosplay hoods#I see them rooming together to save money while they're at the police academy and med school#and malik was ttly the one who told farid who reva was -- naturally by screaming like a fanboy like 'DON'T YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS??'#LMAO#meanwhile reva's rooming with her brother dylan who has to constantly coax her to go walk it off when she's all steamed up about nobody#who actually had the *gall* to say at one point that this whole thing is 'just a game'#seriously is he TRYING to f*** with her??#(no of course not farid meant it completely innocently he just doesn't see a need to get mad when he loses)#I see him advancing so far in so little time because he just doesn't have any friends#so outside of school there really is nothing for him to do *but* play#and it kind of becomes his escape from the real world because he can be someone who does what he wants to do and is more confident than IRL

The rhythm changes wit Karma's state of mind. It has an aroma/flavour that could be described as "a bittersweet taste of Salt and Iron". The feeling it would induces is more reminiscent of Guilt and Foreboding. Like standing before a King with an Executioner looming right behind you. - //

History:
Karma Doorman is the original "Blueprint" of their kind within the Undertale Universe. Their Soul was a blank, purified Vessel with trades of both Human and Monster Soul. Within it, their creator stored the power of every willing being of the Old Dark's Court, forging a Soul of immense potential. Made from pieces of countless Entities and the Life-Blood of their Creator, this Doorman was chained to the purpose of "SAVING THEM", but left with a free will to decide on how to accomplish that Goal.
Karma's first appearance within the Undertale Multiverse was due to the waking call of UT Sans's Will to struggle against the Genocide Route's Outcome, which gave their existence a physical Form. Before that, they were just a spiritual presence and afterthought, mostly. A Dread looming above the Sinners, Cheaters and Fools of the World.
[!!!SPOILERS WARNING!!! - for those who wish to Read the FanFiction or wait till I get around to making the Comic, since the LITERATURE SUBMIT on DA doesn't allow much creative Freedom, so I have to do a lot of Re-Spacing and Editing on those Parts. This Section will spoil some of the Plot in exchange for Character Build - If you don't want that spoiled, please proceed to the APPEARANCE Section - !!!SPOILER WARNING!!!]
Karma's awakening shook the original Universe of Undertale at its Core, as they proceeded to exterminate the Genocide Timeline by removing the [ERASE] and [RESET]option from the Human Child and blocking the [QUIT] option. Their DETERMINATION exceeded any existent being in this Original Timeline.
After ridding themselves of Chara, Flowey and purifying Frisk's Soul, they continued [REWRITING]the Timeline, forcing Toriel to stay with Asgore and bringing comfort to his broken heart. They dragged Gaster and his Lab Assistants back from the Void and made Sans forget about the RESETS, weakening themself severely in the process.
Karma intervened in many upcoming Events, including saving the original six children, choosing to live with them in the RUINS, due to the absence of Toriel, and kept them save there. They properly locked the Gate towards Snowdin and became Sans's Knock-Knock Pal, as he recovered his strength, while waiting for time to unfold on its own. They dragged a Criminal into the Underground, who would serve as a trigger for Undyne's role in the future as head of the Royal Guards, as well as providing Gaster with a Soul for his research. When Gaster's experiment was about to end in failure, they leaped in and saved the staff, but Sans got struck and began remembering everything again, including his first encounter with Karma.
The Doorman left him that way, on behalf of his own wishes, closing the Rift towards the Void, straining their Soul towards its limits. When Frisk arrived, they were the one waiting for them, accompanied by the other six children. Together, they left the RUINS and began their journey through the Underground in order to reach the True Ending and the last option that would hinder their Safeguard over the Timeline. [TRUE RESET]
Appearance:
Karma Doorman looks like a tall, thin elf, clad in black robes and armor. Their cloak, which always rests on their shoulders, splits into multiple tendrils, which can move freely as separate limbs from the rest of their body. These tentacle-like arms are connected to his back, sprouting straight from a fissure across his spine. Their hair is charcoal black and slightly grayish in color, long flowing and smooth as silk. The eyes are red and always surrounded by a reddish blush, which runs along their pale cheeks.
When his expression and demeanor change, the eye-white turns blackish and their thin lips stretch into a wide, haunting grin. Often accompanied by streams of rusty, reddish liquid welling from underneath the eyes. This happens mostly in situations that call for them to use lots of Energy and Magic. It is due to the affects his tremendously powerful Soul has on their vessel body. The reddish liquid is not blood, but liquid-form Determinationseeping through their entire body. When reaching their limits, Karma often ends up with ripped skin or deep gashing wounds all over, which they have to let heal on their own.
Personality:
Karma was created by the remaining Will and Hope of Sans from across all RESETS, which shaped part of their personality. They are very intelligent and resourceful, with a developing love for puns and witty commentary. Karma sees his job as part of a Game, partially, but takes every step they make with utmost seriousness. They often hide the seriousness of their intentions to seem as less of a threat than they actually are, which paint them often in the lights of a sadistic psycho, rather than a helpful ally.
Karma is very kind, when not chasing after Sinners and Cheaters. As a manifestation of Consequences, their actions are justified in the eye of fate, however the Doorman has their doubts about it, acting to the best of their conscious, trying to find the best way to deal with every situation.
They are a selfless Soul, ready to give everything and more in order to see their goal achieved, which is the happiness of all deserving of it.
The Entity judges all on a fair standpoint, giving anyone the benefit of the doubt if it is present within their actions. Which is why they sowed pity and understanding towards Sans more than to Flowey, Frisk and Chara.
Karma is a follower of the principle of "Mutual Consent". They never force their way, feelings or the likes upon others (unless they need to judge that person for being a dirty Sinner, Cheater or the likes). Knowing that everything in life comes with consequences, they rather stay on a neutral ground till they’re sure of the others intentions.
Likes:
Puns and Humor (by that extend Sans)
Cooking
Baking
helping people
singing - ( he loves humming this Song here)
Children
hunting Sinners and Cheaters
napping
Dislikes:
Sinners and Cheater of all kinds
Mettaton (to some extend, since he finds the Robot quite obnoxious)
too spicy food
Capitalism (they've been trying to kill it off for since they've gained consciousness)
Gender- and Race Labeling (which is why they refer to themself as a "they" and won't accept anyone miss-gender them whatsoever)
Capabilities:
Due to their DETERMINATION, Karma is capable of blocking Tricksters, Sinners and Cheaters from abusing Fortune or, in the case of the Fallen Children and Flowey, the power of RESET. They can exterminate these Options and force their prey to face Consequences, without a backdoor to escape out off. The Entity can also alter the flow of time and space to previous states and interact with Checkpoints (which they mostly destroy instantly). They can reanimate people, by simply restoring their last intact living position. While restoring entire Landscapes and areas, they have to focus their manipulative power into a comfortable shape, which mostly appears as a Ring following near the ground, walls and ceiling behind them.
When they first appeared in the Universe of Undertale, Karma was only visible to a selective few. Mostly those aware of the RESETS. While traveling backwards through the Underground with Sans, they created Rifts within the fabric of the World to quickly advance. Similar in Sans's use of shortcuts only on a basic sense, as these Rifts interconnect on a completely different plain of thought. Like a Road along the weave of Space-Time itself.
Their strength comes not only from their Soul, however. Karma’s power forms from the Will of Justice and Vengeance lingering within the World they inhabit. Since their body was formed by Sans’s recollected strife to stop the fallen child from their murderous rampage, their power connected to it. As such, his memory became vital to their strength, but to ensure their goal was fully achieved, Karma decided to REWRITE him, even at the cost of a fair extend of their own power.
Karma's attack abilities range from direct hands-on Battle to them using their tendrils as extended limbs for range combat. They can use various magics, too.
Since their DETERMINATION is so high, Karma is capable of changing the RULES of Combat. They do so to 'playfully' dispose of their targets.
In such occasions, they like to play "JUDGMENT HELL", a game where he provides their foes with the means to battle them properly. Giving them armor, weapons and item to use. They also stag a persons SIN to their STATS, exceeding the limitations of the Universe’s limitations. Within the game they play the PROSECUTOR, who protects a JUDGE from the ACCUSED. While the ACCUSED try to kill or persuade the JUDGE it is the PROSECUTOR's job to keep the JUDGE save and eliminate the ACCUSED. When an ACCUSED perishes, they will be respawned with a penalty to their STATS. When the HP reaches 1, the next strike will indefinitely kill the ACCUSED. They will be erased with the severity of their sins burning their bodies and souls out of current existence. The PROSECUTOR can't act on their own, besides shielding the JUDGE. The JUDGE has full reign over their actions and decides if a person is worth of MERCY or not.
The Doorman is capable of all Magic Abilities. During Combat, Karma uses mostly White, Black and Red Attacks, although they like changing their Style up on the fly sometimes. Fighting them is quite the bad idea, due to them not acting upon the RULE of attacks having to always be in the same repeating patterns. Each of Karma's attacks is acting like a Critical Strike or Instant Kill Move, which makes the experience that much more frustrating. They also can slay foes straight outside of an open FIGHT.
For more casual activities, Karma uses their power of levitation for transport or just simply sitting in a floating position. They multi-task via their tendrils a lot, often preferring them over their own arms and hands. They can use healing magic to quickly close wounds, set bones or just giving a soothing warmth to distressed people. They usually, however, don't use that much magic overall. Only if it is absolutely required or helpful in aiding their goal or people in need.
Karma possesses the special ability of "REWRITE", which allows him to change any aspect of a Location, Item. Person or Rule. With this ability, they can change the flow of the world to befit their purpose. A REWRITE can only be undone by them or an outer-worldly Impact of similar Determination Power, which is rare.
Due to their massive STATS, which broke the readable Range of the World by a margin, attempting to destroy them via Battle is basically pointless. Bargaining with them will be seen as an insult, which often results in harsher punishment, while accepting ones fate is probably the smartest option.
Karma's destructive power can be placed easily above the power of most living beings in the Undertale Multiverse, however, he would struggle against other Doormen of their own respective Tier.
Relations:
Karma, throughout their journey will befriend many Monsters.
Sans will become their first friend among many, as they take the Role of Toriel after the REWRITE. Papyrus they meet briefly in his early childhood, but won't become a friend to the till later. They will bond with Undyne over a match of strength and perseverance.
The human children, as they fall one by one into the Underground, will end up being raised by them. They refer to them as their Guardian or Big G. for short. Karma collects them and ensures their safety while staying in the RUINS, up until Frisk appears. The children take a shine to them, as they cared for them, teaching them to accept monsters as part of their lives.
POTENTIAL SPOILER:
Similar to Sans growing an affection towards Toriel during the outplay of the Original Timeline, in the REWRITE he grows quite fond of them as they do of him.
In the Canon of the series, the two agree on a relationship based on both of their loss at what to do or expect from the newfound freedom they fought for. The human children encourage their romantic interest in one another, much to Karma's displeasure, as they are completely estranged to the whole romance business. Going even so far as to stopping Frisk multiple times, during their adventure, from flirting with every Monster they encounter.
Trivia:
Karma has no recollection of anything prior to their awakening to sentience. For all they've known, they were always a part of Undertale.
However, Sans and Papyrus both commented on "having seen their eyes somewhere before" and that this was not something good they've remembered.
It spun a bit of curiosity around their mind, which always leaves a bad aftertaste behind.

omegafrisk is om-over-frisk, apologies, and unreleased stuff
i want to preface this by saying that every time i admit to a mistake i get people trying to minimise it. if you’re getting ready to do that, please don’t. it makes me feel terrible. even if you don’t agree with how i feel, i violated my own morals, and that means a lot to me!
so, omegafrisk is definitely over. it’s partially that i was in a bad bad place when i started this comic and it’s always gonna be tied to that for me, partially that i’ve just become a much better writer since then and i’d have to reboot the whole thing to be satisfied with it, and partially just that i’m not into undertale enough to make a whole comic anymore.
and speaking of being in a bad place: letting that bleed through into my writing is what i want to apologise for. i’ve come to realise i was a victim of grooming when i started this comic (and as i continued to write it). it messed me up, and i wrote messed up stuff because i just didn’t know better. the child gore, the flippant use of suicide, the extremely inappropriate jokes about kids, probably other stuff i don’t remember - it all disgusts me now. i’m so sorry i put that out into the world and that it took me so long to address it.
i thought about password protecting this blog and shutting it down altogether, but i’ve decided i won’t do that. after wrestling with tumblr a bit i think i’ve deleted the worst stuff, but if you think there’s anything else i should get rid of please bring it to my attention through IM, or through the submit box if you’re shy (you can submit anonymously if you log out).
again, don’t defend me. if you don’t agree keep it to yourself. i will block you if you try to minimise this.
heavy stuff out of the way, onto the content, which i’m sure most of you are much more interested in.
ABOUT THE STORY
i thought about releasing my entire plot outline, but... it sucks. that thing predates mad mew mew. it’s terrible. there’s barely even any detail. whatever you’ve come up with yourself is more interesting.
i do have plenty of stuff to share though! this summary got long as hell, so the rest is going under a cut.
since it’s so long, i’ll put the one thing i am mostly happy with here (obviously sui/child death implications):
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1modE5IQiwNIwRPHBBkwADAEbPttbpIzJBWFaBZlvYHY/edit?usp=sharing
this is the script for an ask i was planning for ages. first written in 2016 apparently?? with the help of the fantastic emouse. it’s a look on what was going on in the original timeline while frisk and chara were off gallivanting through spacetime.
the one thing i’m not pleased with is i don’t think it’s totally ic for flowey to start resetting again. i left it in though ‘cause i don’t feel like updating it.
another thing i’ll leave you is the playlist of instrumental themes i collected for chara and frisk, which i don’t think i ever released. this must also be from about 2016.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVSr-S6q61wCF5IFuBO2Ipl0Nb-u3r4xo
it starts out with frisk’s themes, life/universe and high score are shared themes, and after that chara’s themes begin.
summaries of the rest of the event and the ending under the cut!
A WRINKLE IN TIME
i can at least summarise the rest of the event i had planned. mettaton was about to turn the tables on everyone by having a camera crew burst through the ceiling (which were gonna be some people’s cameo’d ocs). he’d broadcast the debate over who got the soul live to try and bully everyone into giving him it. he had some fair points - he’s the only one of them that’s literally indestructible (at least to monsters and small children) - but both asgore and undyne were determined that they would be the ones to take it.
flowey would then pop up with his own plan. he’d kill everyone in the room except for charadyne (and mettaton just because, again, indestructible to magic). it would’ve been a cool little animation that scrolled past everyone’s shocked faces as bullets appeared behind them with that jarring sound effect they have in game, then cut to black with a cacophony of them all turning to dust.
this was all to force charadyne to load their save. he thought they’d be able to load to before undyne absorbed chara’s soul, which would be impossible as that moment would’ve been undyne’s first save point. (i’m only now realising the hole in this - surely he would’ve known that after his fusion with chara? but wait, he didn’t know about resets until he was revived, can beasts just not save? fucking undertale man)
regardless, chara and undyne would try to reset to, in chara’s words, “the last time you were... filled with... determination”. i wanted to do an animatic to half of [this song]. sweet chimes as undyne rifles back through her memories for that moment, building up to her getting ready - a blast of sound as it rips the timeline to shreds.
chara’s soul is so fragmented, only exacerbated by being in a foreign timeline, that they can’t reset properly. i was thinking of styling the catastrophic glitch that resulted after an undertale corruption because those things scare the shit out of me and also can be fucking hilarious. love me some comedic horror.
chara and undyne would eventually figure out they had to leave the timeline and manually straighten it out. because it was knotted. it was wr. there was a wrinkle. in the timeline. a wrinkle in time. because the event is called. it’s c. a wrinkle in time
that’s where i was hazy on details - you can see just how much was made up as i went along. somehow, they’d be separated, and undyne would have left enough dt in chara’s soul that they’d be able to go down to the human village and yoink some souls from the mausoleum there. (i had worldbuilding stuff around that - the soul jars used in the underground are based off what humans use for burial in general. burying your body in a grave = having your soul stored in a mausoleum. there’d also be equivalents to cremation and such)
i hadn’t really thought much about that - the actual idea was that chara would find their old house and we’d get a flashback sequence about their backstory (eugh, glad i didn’t get around to that). and then, idk, the mausoleum would be empty or something? i didn’t think about what might happen if they were actually able to get all those souls. that is to say, i didn’t think about the story implications - i totally thought about chara becoming a cool shapeshifting rainbow beast because i’m like that.
THE ENDING
rest assured there was gonna be a happy ending. chara and frisk were gonna have a big cool battle bursting through various timelines where frisk tried to talk chara down and chara tried to kick frisk’s ass. at the end, frisk would’ve given up and let chara kill them. but chara wouldn’t have been able to. as viciously as they attacked, they could only do a single point of damage - they and frisk are both made of magic now, and magic works on emotion, and chara cannot truly hate frisk enough to end their life.
so they would’ve made up, broken the barrier in their original timeline together, and lived happily ever after with no more resets.
i remember daydreaming an animatic of the two of them trying to break the barrier, stumbling a few times and gradually achieving synchrony, to [this song].
you might notice i don’t mention flowey here. i was kind of struggling to figure out what to do with everyone else in regards to like, actual methods of character development. i had some ideas about chara bringing wrinkle-in-time flowey along with them on their adventures and him somehow getting his memories spliced with og-timeline flowey’s near the end but didn’t really think them through.
here’s a shittily-sketched old concept of what i might’ve done with him though:
not exactly my most beautiful work but it’s all you’re getting. it’s just visual notes, so i didn’t think it through much.
i daydreamed a lot about a cute ending animatic to [this song]. i don’t remember my thoughts well enough to summarise, but i hope you can come up with something cute yourselves!
aaand that’s all for this post. thanks for reading!

soooo, about the latest episode of star vs....
Well, let’s take the opportunity and retake the rantswith this, shall we? ^ ^
Remember that of course this have spoilers ahead and it’s my personal opinion . That said, let’s start ^ ^
Yep, yep, I watched the last episodes and well, theywere fine overall but I have to say that, as always, I have mixed opinions hereand there.
Okay, the list starts with out of business. Ehm, whatcan I say about this ep?It was random, it was kind of fun but for me that wasall and it let me with a question: What’s with the show and the “Thisfrequented place is closing for good” thingy? ._.
I’ve heard some viewers commenting about the episodehaving some meaning, that it is more that it seems to be, and theories likethose. If that’s true, well, it’s fine but I don’t want cryptic content, I wantthe plot to advance. Wanna see what’s with Eclipsa or Star and Marco. For alast season this was a total random filler ^ ^’. And hey, not saying filler isalways bad, I love well done filler because it’s like taking a pause from allthe craziness of a plot and it even helps to develop characters while doingrandom unrelated things but this one was, well, very random?
Janna is Back, good ^ ^… but they don’t even botherto explain how is she there. We have just to accept it because, youknow… she’s Janna. That leads me to my next comment and plz don’t get madJanna fans. I like Janna and I’ve always said she has so much potential sinceS1 and that’s the reason why I don’t like much Janna this season. Pretty muchlike past season, she serves no other purpose than the weird stalker girl whois the comic relief. Done. I mean, jokes are fine but her interactions with theother characters don’t go further than “Yeah, I’m cool”, “Look, acreepy thing, cool”, “I’m going to Make fun of Marco, lol”.
Well, good thing about the ep is that it even gives usa message at the end. I don’t even know what was the point of Marco reactingthat way, but the thing is that they went out of there.
Next one is Kelly’s world. Where can Istart for this one? Well, it was nice to know about Kelly’s background…Finally! For a character that appears in the title sequence and that wasincluded in so many relevant episodes and situations, they took their time. So, her kind solves everything with kicks and punches? Marco, beware! X)
You know, in Lava Lake, when Kelly and Marco spent time together, I never getthe memo about them being “a thing”. For me it was all too quick. Well, itlooks like they noticed it and ‘fixed’ it this season along with moredevelopment of Kelly and her world and family.
Final battle moment was nice but it wasjust me or that felt like S1 Star and Marco fight 2.0? It made me miss thosemore. We don’t have that since a long while now.
And well, now Marco and Kelly areofficially rebound buddies whatever that means but well, now they can cheek kissand hold hands. It’s a bit weird that they keep introducing relationships inthe last season. Maybe it’s me annoying with the same thing but, wasn’t Jackiegood enough for the other girl? As I see, they get rid of her and then got theidea for the new plotline where Marco needed a girlfriend… but it was alreadytoo late, so they chose the girl who was available so that’s why it felt it a bitout of the blue. Oh, well, nothing we can do now and it’s not like they don’tlook cute together anyway :3
Aaand last but not least isCurse of the Blood moon. Nice episode but for me it was a bit weaker than Iexpected it to be. We start retaking Star and Marco situation that has beenkind of ignored past eps: Marco and Star having a crush on each other and soulbounded.
All starts when Marco can’t take it anymore anddecides to speak out his feelings to Star. Thing is Tom’s there too but he doesit anyway. Here we learn that well, duh, Star still have feelings for Marco andalso that… the Blood Moon is… just a curse. Uhm, I didn’t get too bothered withit but it felt it a bit underwhelming. Yeah, I know there are been a lot of discussionsabout them not being in love for real and blah, blah, so, I have a big hunchthat the staff did that to make Star and Marco´s love more natural if they aregoing for Starco but still. I think that I can say that the original idea ofthe blood moon was not this at all but as people started to decontextualize it,they just changed it. Now this has so many implications, starting by the timeMarco and Jackie were kissing. That friggin moon just messed with them, itdoesn’t mean anything more ^ ^’
Oh, also, Janna was there too… eh, again beingthe random character ^ ^’ Also, that invincible character who is just there to messwith everyone. Yes, I know this is a comedic show but I don’t like how herreactions with everyone else are always stale and about the snarky girl whodoesn’t care about anything. For me she barely interacts. Remember when we all thoughtshe will have really good interactions with Tom since she likes demons? Well, I’mnot waiting for that anymore as I see how things are, and I’m not even talkingabout shipping! Yes, I think they are under utilizing a great chara but, oh well.
Well, this is the part where Tom’s great grandpa told themthat they can severe their souls with a stone that is in the underworld, sothey go in that quest.
At the end of the ep, they foreshadowed a battle thatnever happened… I miss the action driven scenes.
Now, it’s me or is the show using too much the “slow mo” jokes scenes? We hadthe sloth in Quest buy sucking the juice, Tom talking about his pa pa pa pa pa,again Tom in the elevator, then Marco talking and talking about that couch plusthe other dude that came drinking juice… I think they must do those more carefully.
Okay, back to the plot. The scene where they arrivedhad so many subtle messages. Tom’s Grandpa was shown regretting using thecrystal for example. From this point, anything can happen. We have a really endearing dancing scene, retaking the bloodmoon dance but thistime Star and Marco being aware of their feelings. When Star admits beingafraid and Marco follows her was heartbreaking indeed. Yeah “What if it wasnever the Blood moon?” ^ ^
Weeell, to close, I would say that yeah, I know thisone is probably one of the rants where I actually ranted the most. It’s just anopinion so be free to have a different one. The episodes were not bad to meand I enjoyed them, especially the last part of the last one but I hope nexteps escalate a bit more in the level of emotions. Let every… or almost everyscene be at the level of the final dance of the las ep :3
Talking about that final dance, I’ve heard several Starco soldiers being sad and saying that this looks like the end of Starco. Uhm, I don’t know, did we watched the same episode? This for me sounds like the complete opposite so, cheer up people :3
That’s all I have to say for now. Feels nice to beback after a long time. I hope you enjoy all my blabbering and I hope I cankeep doing them as regularly as before ^ ^
See you in the next rant, soldiers!

thanks for answering!! i hope you don't mind if i send more charas...how about green and/or lillie?
fhgjkfdg aw yea thank u!! hopefully this doesn’t publish before i’m done typing lol
also this definitely needs a readmore bc i got emotional abt Green oops
Green
favorite thing about them
first of all: the fact that Green canonically has a rivals to best friends arc with Red fills me with so much joy and YES they are on their alolan honeymoon you cannot convince me otherwise
okay like. gen 1 Green just perfectly encompasses what it’s like to be a ten year old in a way? like ofc he’s written like a kid bc he is a kid, but i feel like the writing on him just feels so genuine as compared to some of the other 10 yr old rivals you get in other regions. even though he’s kinda a brat at the start, he kinda eases up a bit as you go along your journey and starts giving you progressively nicer/more praise-y end lines when you beat him (going from “i picked the wrong pokémon!” to “so, you are ready for boss rocket!”) but still retains this childlike rivalry and competitiveness and i love that about him
and like. fucking beating him at the Indigo League still completely breaks my heart because even after he did become the champion at age 10 the first thing that happens is you beat him and Prof Oak just yells at him for being bad at things and like. ow.
this is why i headcanon that Red actually took awhile longer to get to Green like please. please give my boy a chance to be happy and proud
also Red was caught up with Team Rocket anyway so i imagine he must’ve fallen a little behind at some point? anyway
the development on him across regions is so choice!!! he’s so much more mellow and even kinda melancholic when you find him in gsc/hgss, like he’s calmed down over a few years and he obviously misses Red so much but like, it’s clear that Red is kinda the reason Green does settle down and he seems to have worked on his character and become a nicer person - and he still has that sassy flair to him! he’s just got that gradual slope from asshole rival to kinda aloof gym leader to friendly/sassy battle legend and aaaaa i love my boy so MUCH
also huge point: he’s so fucking driven??? he’s got the most drive and the most passion for battles/pokémon in general out of all the rivals i feel. he’s only closely matched by Silver, but Silver seems to be more aggressive than passionate, and somewhat out of necessity too (like, Giovanni abandoned him what was he to do), whereas Green just really like. he genuinely just cares so much about battles and about pokémon in general! he literally calls you in hgss and just rants about how many different kinds of pokémon there are in the world!!!
also in Alola he’s like???? just so sweet?????? he congratulates you and is like hey you’re really strong lets battle like!!!!!!!!! supportive boy!!!!! he has come so far over so many generations and i cry
also on Four Island when you play frlg he legitimately says “Be smelling ya!” when he leaves and how do you not love this idiot
least favorite thing about them
i mean. while i get that you beat Green right after he becomes the champion in the kanto games i feel like there should’ve been more pomp and circumstance for him and i’ll never forgive gamefreak for giving this boy his dream, then making you rip it away from him, and then watching his own gramps yell at him for fucking up like. again it’s that drive, i get why Red keeps such good pace w Green but i just feel like he worked so hard and he deserved so much better than that
also while i’m very biased towards him bc Big Emotions, i feel like if i knew this boy irl who was constantly i’m so great and you’re a loser i would probably punch him eventually lmao. in theory it’s kinda endearing but as a real person that’d be grating
favorite line
on one hand, “smell ya later” is so fucking iconic, but on the other -
“I’m Blue. Man, this guy called Red brought me down in a heartbeat. I haven’t seen him in a long time…I wonder where he is and what he’s up to… Come to think of it, you look a little bit like Red. Yeah, you do. Just…Just a little bit. Whatever…”
my namelessshipping heart
ALSO NOT CANON BUT GREEN RANTING TO YOU ABOUT RED AND GETTING SO DISTRACTED THAT HE FORGETS TO GIVE YOU THE POKÉDEX????? BIG GAY
brOTP
for long elaborate headcanon reasons, i see him as being a good brotp with Kris - i headcanon her as also being really driven the way Green is, but more quiet about it, she’s kinda a good balance to him and they probably do pokemon research together. i also feel like she kept him sane while Red was still missing/before they found him on a fuckin mountain
OTP
do i really need to tell you that i’m 100% namelessshipping
like they perfectly balance each other. Green has all this energy and all this spunk and Red is just like… so opposite of him y'know? he’s quiet and he’s more measured in his behavior i feel, he doesn’t really rush into things as much, and yet they both really just took Kanto by storm when they were kids, and i like how they have this foil dynamic and are both still so successful? they’re so different and they complement each other in that way, and they both find success in their own ways
like one of the reasons i hate that Green’s championship gets undersold so much is that he did beat you to the punch, and he has been one step ahead of you, and there’s so much passion there and it’s so loud - and yet you as Red are just as driven, you take down Team Rocket, you’re always right on his tail, so close but not quite there, you’re the only one who can keep up with him and you’re the only one he cares enough about to slow down for
so like. idk with even all my headcanons about namelessshipping aside (and i can infodump those another day lol), i feel like the in-game representation of them just works. they just work so well together, they balance each other without ever holding each other back, and there’s something really beautiful about that in a relationship y'know
…..i feel bad abt not putting as much infodump about isshushipping now but oh well
nOTP
i don’t really have a notp with him? i kinda like. i basically just do namelessshipping, but i don’t get a visceral eugh when i see other ships with him, just kinda a well it’s not nameless so i’ll be on my way. idek what other ships w him are popular?? i’ve been in nameless hell since 2012 so
random headcanon
while Red is still living on Mount Silver, Green is not coping well with having him so far away, and so Green massively overworks himself to the point that he keeps just not being in his gym sometimes bc he’s bouncing between the gym, training multiple teams, pokémon research, and ofc going to visit Red whenever he can. this leads him to be kinda temperamental after he’s been working on 2 hours of sleep a day for like a week until he just has an emotional meltdown and crashes, and then he gets right back into it because he has no self preservation
…….. nicer headcanon; Red can only cook two (2) foods, so Green cooks all the food for them when they move in together. he has attempted to teach Red how to cook, but Red pretends not to understand so Green will keep making him food. Green knows Red is faking it and doesn’t call him out bc he thinks it’s cute
unpopular opinion
look i’ve played through classic red version a few times and when i say he wasn’t that much of a jerk, i do genuinely mean he was not that much of a jerk. he’s like ten. ten year olds are just Like That. i guess this isn’t too unpopular anymore but it was Back In The Day and in some parts of the fandom he’s still seen as a jerk and like Bro He Is Ten In RGB/FRLG cut him some slack
also genuinely unpopular - Green is taller than Red. i know namelessshipping has fallen into the bara Red and twink Green trope but i refuse to let go of tall Green/short Red fuckin fight me why dont you
song i associate with them
a lot of the Pray For The Wicked album by Panic! at the Disco gives me Green vibes, more for the sound than for lyrics necessarily, but for some reason Roaring 20s just like. has the sound of Green to me. it’s somewhere between flamboyant pride and underlying insecurity that i think really encapsulates Green (or at least his subtext)
favorite picture of them
i genuinely love his let’s go concept art he’s such a sweet good boy??
and for the life of me i cannot find the op source on this but this is my fave pic of Green/namelessshipping in general that i’ve had saved since like 2012 maybe???
yeah if anyone can help me source that i’d appreciate it bc reverse image search only brings me to pinterest and random wattpad links :/
update: source seems to be the artist くる (pixiv id=982894) on pixiv, even though the original post got taken down (ty anon!)
Lillie
favorite thing about them
by now i guess you know im a sucker for character development, but i think they did a really good job with her!! i feel like her turn is a bit more in moments than it is with Green, who gradually evolves (lol) over the course of Kanto/all the gens overall. you see more discrete moments where Lillie starts to shift and gain confidence in herself and i am so proud of her ???? like the way she gets excited when she sees Olivia doin’ her z-move stuff, she starts buying her own clothes and getting ahead of you, etc etc
and like, she still has moments where she’s scared, there’s still some fundamental Lillie in there yknow? you don’t lose any of that softness that characterizes Lillie, she just like… she gets better, she develops without losing her Lillie vibe and i love that abt her. she overcomes a lot of the shit she had to deal with when she was stuck with Lusamine, she stands up to Lusamine eventually, and ghfdkjsg gah she’s a sweet gorl i love and appreciate her
also like. the writing on her backstory is so subtle in-universe. like yeah she literally looks like Lusamine’s daughter and you see her in the opening cutscene leaving Aether, but as the protagonist - like as Selene lets say, there’s little hints about where Lillie came from, and if you suspend your disbelief and put yourself in the pc’s shoes, there’s subtly to her character arc that i like
also like. when she changes her outfit and starts being more protagonist-y, like more confident and kinda bubbly instead of shy??? love that shit it’s so cute can i have custody of this child pls
least favorite thing about them
i like. sometimes feel like she’s too soft of a character for me to really get into? like i love her and Hau, they’re sweet good friends, but i tend to personally gravitate towards characters that create a little more tension (ie Green and N)
(though on that note, Hau can be kinda savage. he just calls Faba out and sarcastically calls Gladion “a ray of sunshine at some point i think?? Lillie is just very tender and i will support her forever, but i think that also makes her almost too soft to keep me fixated on her yknow. it’s not even a flaw in her character but just not something i fawn over as much)
favorite line
“I’m so glad I got to meet everyone. I’m so glad I got to meet you.”
like that ending kills me but that line almost feels like. I Feel That So Much like i feel so happy to have met all these new characters and to have played these games, and i feel like some of the player’s energy and enjoyment of the game is channeled into this last line of hers
also GET IN THE BAG
brOTP
probably her and Hau?? idk, i don’t have a specific brotp for her but i like her just hangin around w the other Alola kids, so like her, Hau, Gladion, and the protag kids. they’d raise hell together and Lillie continues to be the only one with some impulse control
(Gladion also has some impulse control but keeps getting annoyed by Hau and so he gets dragged into their nonsense anyway)
OTP
Selene and Lillie is. Good. idk what the ship name is but it’s canon
nOTP
i dont even know if people ship her with Gladion but incest is a big no-no in my house
random headcanon
when she goes to Kanto, i bet she’d pick Bulbasaur as a starter if she was given the opportunity - and if not, she’d probably catch a wild Vulpix
unpopular opinion
idk if have any unpopular opinions for her??
song i associate with them
i have no reason to associate this with her but the Rainy Day theme from acgc just. has a vibe about it. i think a lot of ac music feels like it suits her
favorite picture of them
i found this art of her through a lofi remix of her theme awhile back and it’s so pleasing to look at? her hair is nice and the colors are so warm n happy gjhkfdgf
if you read this far, congratulations!!! and i’m sorry
#thank u for asking again and i'm sorry this took so long and *is* so long lol#sterling content#Anonymous

it was about damn time that I would post scar’s background. obviously she has the new set of clothing and glasses, but this is the basics. sorry for not looking the most amazing, drew it a while ago.
Original name, Yam. Female. 21-22. human. originally from a world with no magic or monsters.
- Was born with eyes dark as void. Scared her parents shitless.
- Has the ability to see rips in the reality, tried to tell her parents but they just said that she was imagining things.
- Was tested for blindness or any kind of disability. Nothing was amiss. Sees perfectly well.
Where it all begun.
- Was walking with her mother when she was eight in the park when she saw an extremely big rip and tugged her mother excitedly to it, telling her how you could see stars and galaxies from the rip. Mother got annoyed and told her to stop being a baby and stop imagining things that were not there when someone bumped into her, causing the woman to topple forward and send Yam through the rip.
- Yam got up from falling to find herself in a barren field. Confused, she rushed back through the rip in hopes to get back to the park, but found herself in a wooden house, scaring the residents who were just seated to eat supper.
- Terrified and alone, she began searching for a way home, travelling many realities and after the initial shock faded, she found magic and went to people to teach her magic.
Eleven years later.
- Finally, she managed to get back to her reality, only to find out that the moment that she had left it, all memory of her was overwritten. Her parents and friends forget everything about her.
- Devastated, she stayed there for a week before realizing that she couldn't do it and went back to travelling, casting her name and calling herself 'scar' because of the scar she has over her back.
Discovery.
- Later, she finds an old book in a giant library timeline with the title ‘Matrix - reality bending tips’ and immediately took it, too excited about the prospect of bending reality and getting her old world to remember her to care about stealing. But even after studying the book for two years, she didn’t manage to even use the simplest of the spells. Annoyed but not wanting the book to fall into the wrong hands, she kept it with her.
Ghosty.
- At one point she met a ghost, who was the only who remembered her and so became her companion and helped her with access to the spirit world when she needed advice or was there when she became too lonely.
THE SCARTALE TIMELINE (optional)
- She was at a sci-fi timeline that had virtual reality games on it. Undertale was one of the usual console games and after getting warm recommendations, she played it and fell in love with Frisk and Chara, especially after reading more of the lore and learning as much as possible about the game.
- She begun to wonder how would it be to get into that reality and if one of the rips would lead to it. Someone apparently heard her since someone had approached her to try on a new virtual reality set for Undertale that had new features on it. She agreed, excited to play as Frisk, and tried it on.
- She found herself in front of the menu box and clicked START. She wrote ‘Scar’ as the requested name, wondering why it hadn’t said to name the fallen child, and pressed CONTINUE.
- Extreme pain had then engulfed her and she felt as if she was getting ripped apart and then stitched back in a very wrong way. She finally passed out and woke up to find herself in the fields outside mount ebott.
- Shocked and fearful, she searched for the equipment placed on her and when she felt only her skin, began to panic. She took off her glasses to search for any rips in space, and tried to go through one that she had found only to feel extreme pain envelop her and she was pushed back from it. She was really scared now since her getaway plan had failed, the one thing that was a constant in all her travels had just turned unpassable.
- Left with no choice, she made her way to the mountain, wondering if she was playing as Frisk now and the way to get back was to beat the game. But when she reached the mountain, she saw a slightly different looking from the game sprite Frisk (longer hair and open eyes with a tanned skin rather than yellow) walk up the mountain. Curious, she followed and saw as Frisk investigated the hole and tripped and then fell. She went to rush after them, but was stopped by Ghosty. She realized that if she interrupted Frisk’s journey, it could have pretty bad repercussions, so she decided to see what she could find out about this reality that she was stuck on.
- As frisk goes through their journey, scar gets more frustrated since this reality keeps returning back in time. She had to do her research again sometimes or would have to talk to the same people again. She even lost sleep since she would sleep and it returned to an hour before she even went to sleep. She was annoyed and when a man was demanding her to pay for her, she murmured the first spell in her mind and a bag of coins fell from her hand. She and the man stared at it for a very long time and she then shakily shrugged, trying to laugh it up.
- She then tried again the spell and with her glasses off, she suddenly could see rows of the same language as the virtual reality games had in times and found that she could somewhat understand it.-
Apparently the reality bending book was actually a book to manipulate code. She began to experiment with the book and found herself a place to stay at and with an identity in this reality.
- When Frisk emerged with the monsters, she cheered and went to check on Frisk, wanting to welcome the monsters and help them since she was always so curious about how the pacifist ending would go.
- Instead of a curious child that she had seen entering the mountain, she saw a broken one, with body mutilated. Horrified, she accessed Frisk’s code and found a virus with corrupted DT and Void, a copied data that lived in the same body as Frisk. Void told her through the code about the lack in DT which had led to the creation of the scars and the virus’ birth at Asgore’s battle.
- She grew protective of Frisk and swore to make sure that she would make the integration of the monsters into the human world the easiest as possible. So she then begun to alter code of some high-up people. She knew she couldn’t just go to each person and alter their code so she had to pray that they would accept the monsters like the government.
- She wondered over getting into Frisk’s life since she understood them the most, having played the game several times already. She then decided that she would just intervene if something really bad happens since she felt like she shouldn’t intrude.
- apparently , code-based realities are prone to be invaded by viruses or timeline-hopping monsters trying to gain access to the code to take over the place. Scar would take care of those pretty easily luckily. There were only three incidents.
- She watches over Frisk and since she knew Chara was there from ghosty and the strange extra code to frisk’s SOUL, she is now constantly without her glasses so she could see codes and now Chara.
Abilities
She has proper hang on lightning and fire magic, struggles with summoning spells. Wants to learn healing but is only able to sooth pain over small cuts.
Can see rips in space.
In Scartale she can see code and is able to alter it after reading the book.
Personality
- Mostly seen as a bright person, but in all honestly she just tries to be positive so as to not feel like a lost little child.
- has an excitable personality like getting awed by simple things, curious as hell, liking to just goof around and not work. She literally prefers just to sit in the middle of a barren battlefield and create small skeletons and watch them run around than actually doing something with her knowledge and magic.
- She likes drawing and writing but is too lazy to actually purchase the materials and create.
- Hates to be alone and so in each reality she enters, she finds the nearest child and gives him a big hug. She sometimes forgets to ask for a permission and has to flee from the group because of yells of kidnapper or creep.
- She wants to help people but hates criticism to herself, makes her feel worse.
- Contradicts herself a lot. But promises are promises.
- An old lady that tried to teach her to voodoo told her she was an immature brat and if she wanted to be a great witch, that she needed to grow up. Scar took offence to that and ran away, only later realizing that the woman was right. She tries to be more mature now, but reverts to her excitable nature the moment she loses focus… which happens all the time.
- When she develops a connection to someone, she will feel compelled to do everything in her power that they will be happy. It made her do some questionable actions but she didn't care. (example: frisk and chara. ghosty.)
- She had grown lonelier after finding her home reality, being in a depressed state until she had met ghosty. Now can have bouts of depression if left alone for too long, hence why she always tries to be busy.

[ bisexual finger guns ] this is kind of a starter/plotting call. if you just want a starter at random, hit the little heart. but below the ‘read more’ is a short list of some plots/threads i’d love to explore with my kiddo here. if any of those interest you, shoot me an im.
1. i’m dying to explore tommy’s relationship with mutants & mutant issues. traditionally, he’s more associated with the avengers, but i think there’s a lot of interesting feelings to be explored re: tommy’s possible association with mutants. so like...i guess the general idea here is a like thread/plot with another mutant that lets tommy explore the weight of his heritage beyond the m-day related issues he found out about in children’s crusade.
2. action !! gimme superheroes ( especially fellow young superheroes ) kicking ass together. developing the kind of trust it takes to implicitly have someone’s back in battle ?? gimme all that shit.
3. positive relationships with older adult figures !! tommy’s not a kid anymore, per se, but he still really craves meaningful & positive interactions with adult figures. he desperately wants to connect with adults because he had so many disappointments with his parents. even in his own world, tommy was hesitant to connect with wanda because he was afraid it wouldn’t matter. give me long-lasting paternal/mentor relationships for tommy, pls dear god.
4. god.....something angsty w/ tommy having issues because being in 1973 and all out of sorts definitely reminds tommy of the last time he was stuck between time and space. i’d love an opportunity to explore the less-exuberant sides of tommy with other characters.
5. something else action-y but more long term and fighting against the Friends of Humanity group. i’d love to really plot out something intricate for that, come up w/ arcs for more than one chara etc. so just lmk if you wanna try to work something out w/ me.

Dadster (Chapter 7)
The Great and Wonderful Dr. W.D. Dadster
With the best story title, ever, if he must say so himself. Clearly it will go down in his-story
An Undertale Fanfiction by: Topaz Shadowwolf Undertale is owned by: Toby Fox Rating: Teen for mild cursing, violence and to give me some wiggle room for later down the road Heads up: Cursing, violence … not all sure, still in development AO3 Ch 1 Ch 2 Ch 3 Ch 4 Ch 5 Ch 6
Random notes: Hey! I know it’s been awhile since I posted a chapter of this story. I just was feeling a little discouraged. Anyway, I’ll try to get back to writing this story more often because I really love it.
Chapter 6: I... I wasn’t expecting that, honestly...
Gaster doubted it was over. He won a battle but not the war. Chara knew about his son and his secret lab. How long did he have? That would depend on Chara. In all truth, he didn't know if she would try anything else, or if he was just being paranoid. But he felt he needed to move from this lab and hide all sensitive documents.
As far as he knew, he still had a few locations in his lab that the human child knew nothing about. They were nothing but simple closet like spaces to store equipment and documents. Is it suspicious? Oh yes! Had he known another scientist with a lab like this he would wonder what they were up to. But Gaster trusted himself.
Well, yes, he did somehow beat the odds, create a life with the intent on turning said life into an instrument of war. But he clearly had enough moral fiber to turn back from that project. Thus, he reasoned, he should be allowed to have a work space like this. A shame it might no longer be so private
He gathered every note he had on Sans and opened the top drawer of the filing cabinet. Lifting the false bottom, he stored all that precious data away. Burning it might be a better option later, but right now he would have no means to cover up the smell of smoke or reasonable place to hide the ashes.
(Besides, there is always the off chance he might want another.)
Picking Sans up, his ethereal hands grabbed up all the baby items and shoved them into the hidden closet spaces. He would have to hide everything for now, and hope to move it to his new location later. Luckily Sans is easy to entertain and sleeps a lot. A few hours without toys should pass fairly well.
There was nothing he could do for the makeshift crib or children’s bookcase. He will just have to think of a reasonable lie for both if Chara leads Asgore here. Luckily for him, the king will believe nearly anything he tells him. If all the children's books and blankets are hidden away there won't be any evidence against his claim. Now he had a new problem. Moving Sans through the facility unseen, and (more importantly) where to move him.
After some thought he decided on wing A. No one used that lab wing anymore. It was the first wing of the true lab, after the decision to not expand the upper level. It wasn't until he justified the need for more space that the other wings added. So, all the equipment was old, and the offices were small, compared to the newest ones.
Destination decided, he then bundled the small skeleton up and placed him in a box. Perhaps it wasn’t the most dignified way to move his son; but, feeling rushed, it was the only answer he had. Sans, luckily, was ready for a nap now that his dad is here and whatever trauma he went through was over.
The two made their way through the facility, mostly unbothered. Gaster was happy for this. It appears his mood from earlier left an impact. Unfortunately, this was not to last, a bird looking monster in a lab coat approached with a feline, dress in CORE engineer uniform.
“Sir,” she trilled, “I know you are busy, but you need to see these numbers.”
“It can wait,” he said, walking passed.
“No, it can’t,” snapped the engineer. He quickly moved in front of Gaster and waved the papers in his face. “Now, ya might have this lot bowing to ya as if yer the king, but that ain't going to work with me!”
Gaster was taken aback by this, “Clearly. Make your point, but lower your voice, if you would so kind. I have a skull ache.” In truth, he felt Sans move in the box. Last thing he needed was his son waking and crying.
“I don't care if yer head pops off! My workers are in danger, have been in danger. The CORE is overheatin’ and anytime I ask if ya know, they turn me away.”
“Let me see those,” Gaster said, handing the box he was holding over to the bird monster. He took the papers and read them over. He was surprised by the readings. “There seems to be more strain on it.”
“There's more monsters than there used ta be,” the engineer said, “more things usin’ energy too. We are maintainin’ her well, but she can't keep this up. And I don't think I need to tell you what could happen if she broke.”
“No, you don't,” he thought for a moment, “for now we will have to limit energy use. Shorter day cycles too. I won't kill monster kind to have less light for a while, considering we nearly spent a year in the dark.” Gaster then looked at the Head Engineer of The CORE, “I will look for solutions in the meantime.”
“Thank ya,” the feline nodded and turned away, mumbling, “‘bout flippin’ time, gotta do everthin’ m’self.”
Gaster started to make his way again, looking over The CORE’s recent temperatures and maintenance reports. He was sure he had developed a strong enough coolant. Were they using a bad batch? Nope. The engineer's report states they not only check the quality of the coolant, but switch it as well.
“Sir, your box?” The bird monster called out to him.
Box?
SANS!
The speed at which he turned nearly left him dizzy as he all but ran back to retrieve his son. Sans must have made a sound or moved as the bird monster started to lift a flap. Before she could see in, he placed the reports and his hand on the top of the box.
With an empty socket stare, he said slowly, “Thank you, for bringing these concerns to my attention. And thank you, also, for holding my box.” The bird hesitated, “I believe this is when you say, ‘you’re welcome.’”
“Oh, uh, you’re welcome, Doctor,” she said, surrendering the box to Gaster.
He looked at her for a moment, not wanting to leave it at this. After all, she did make sure that this was brought to his attention. The safety of monster kind is more important to him than providing them with energy. If no solution is found, he’d rather shut The CORE down than have it break.
He lit his eye sockets, giving her two white dots to look at verses empty darkness. “I have a task for you. Find everyone who turned the engineer away. I have made myself available, and by no means would I be too busy to deal with any problems with The CORE.”
Having lights in his eyes again seemed to relax her, “Of course, Doctor. I’ll get on that right away.” With an approving nod, Gaster turned to resume moving Sans to the A wing.
Just as he was rounding the corner a voice called out from behind him, “Doctor, you have a, uh, royal visitor.”
“AS EXPECTED!” Gaster called back, “tell our king that I will be there right away!”
“D-doctor, about that-”
“Just tell him,” he said picking up his pace. He needed to stash his son somewhere, stat. Luckily, King Asgore was not an impatient monster.
He was most of the way down the hall when there was a loud pop. From above green, shimmering, magic bullets, in the shape of stars and planets with rings, filter down before fizzling out of existence. With Gaster’s health already at full, any that touched him did nothing.
A black banner unfurled before him, the words “Welcome To The Space” was written in large, white, painted letters. (Squeezed in at the end was “Department”. Gaster didn't see it till later). Around the words was an almost accurate depiction of the night sky.
“Welcome, Doctor Gaster!” A dark blue, monitor lizard monster with bright green stripes said. “My name is Doctor M. R., the current head of the Space Department by default. Since, you know, you never assigned anyone else here.”
Space Department? When did his lab have a Space Department? He thought hard as she continued talking. And then he remembered the day he assigned someone to a nonexistent department. (You know, back at the beginning of the project to make a weapon) The information he gathered, about the social requirements for a young monster to grow up stable, was hers.
Before now, he didn’t notice she was leading him down the hall to lab A-1. In it was a few interesting inventions. As he looked around he started listening again, “Now, I know I have been fudging the numbers. Claiming there are 3 people in this department, but that is the least amount of people required for a department to be valid. It is annoying trying to collect the check though, as each time they have no idea I’m working here. Which is fine by me, really, I don’t mind working alone. But, moving on, I only take my pay and use the rest to fund my experiments. Making this, over all, the cheapest but among the more useful departments. Seeing has how space travel is currently out of the question, I feel I have enough time to fully explore how space travel would be possible. Also, how we could potentially colonize a new planet.” She waved a hand over to a variety of plants, “Those are some surface plants that were brought down as seeds. As you can see I cultivated-”
“How much of this does Asgore know about?” Gaster asked, sure that Asgore never would have funded this “department.”
“Uh… well, not much. I keep my reports to him very vague. And use…,” she hummed a soft tone before continuing, “words that may go over his kingly head. Not an easy task, mind you. On paper this is the ‘Astro-exploratory, Quantum Physics and Mechanics Department for a Brighter Tomorrow.’ I thought the end part added a nice flare.”
“How did you know I was coming?” Gaster looked at Doctor M. R.
She waved her hand to a screen, on it was several views of the hall, rooms, and even the lab they were in, “my monitors. I have the entire wing under surveillance for just this moment.”
“For… just the moment I might walk down here?”
“I have to make sure to give you a proper welcome,” she smiled big, humming to herself in contentment. As Gaster continued thinking in silence the lizard fidgeted nervously.
“If Asgore were to walk in now, what wouldn't you show him?” Gaster said and watched for her reaction.
She pointed her index fingers at him as if they were guns, in a playful manner, while she smirked, “don't you mean: what would I show him?” When Gaster was slow to respond, she cleared her throat, “I mean, I have a few things that don't fall in the more… theoretical… it is hard to prove this departments worth, but I assure you, Doctor, if you don't shut this de-”
“Who said anything about shutting this down? I CLEARLY had reason for creating this department,” Gaster bluffed his way through. He then handed the box containing Sans to her. “Keep him safe and make sure no one knows about him, or I will shut this down. Understand?”
“Yeeeees?” She looked a little confused, then looked at the box as he started to walk away.
“Give away my secret and I will do the same to you.” Gaster added, loudly, as he walked down the hall.
“Your secret is safe with me!” She called back, almost singing it. She said something more, but he didn't have time. Asgore may be a patient king, but he won't wait forever.
Doctor Melody Of The River (or M. R. or just Dr. R. as she often signs her name) had poked her head out of the lab and said, “Wait! Did you say him?” But Doctor Gaster obviously didn't hear her or cared. With a sigh, she walked over to a table to set the box down.
On her way there, she could have sworn she a sound… a very distinct sound. The kind of sound that anyone with a strong paternal instinct reacts to. Setting the box on the table she opened it, and, despite knowing what she heard, was surprised.
Two, half opened eye sockets looked up at her with two fuzzy eye lights. The small skeleton wiggled, as if trying to stretch, but the blanket he was wrapped in was preventing such movement. In the effort, he made a few small grunts before sighing and giving up.
“Who puts a baby in a box? Come here, you,” River reached in and picked the child up. Last she heard, Gaster never remarried after his wife died. To top that off, there was no rumor of a lover of any kind, and she was certain she heard he was the last skeleton alive.
So then… where did this one come from?
(In truth, she had an idea. After all, she worked with theatrical science. She knew something can’t just appear from nothing, and she heard the rumors of Gaster hurting his hand doing something no one knew anything about. Still, even to her, it seemed farfetched.)
A light and a beep let Doctor R. know someone was walking down the hall. Glancing up, she saw the human child of the royal family on the monitors running this way. Well, it is a good thing Doctor R. had researched many different monster types. She knew the perfect hiding spot.
Gaster hurried to the upper lab, and what he saw was not King Asgore. No, that was, definitely, not the King. But it was indeed a “royal visitor.” A very annoyed and angry one. One that he would not have kept waiting for this long had he known.
“Your Majesty,” Gaster said as he walked forward, keeping a calm demeanor.
Queen Toriel’s burgundy eyes, like two garnets, looked right at him with a glare that nearly made him recoil. Chara chose well in picking this boss monster to confront Gaster. Asgore was not a bad ruler, but he was very tolerant. Toriel, on the other hand, was the type who won’t stand for nonsense, and was a mother bear when it came to defending her children.
“Cut the crap,” she said with a snarl. She bent over slightly to stare Gaster right in the eye sockets. She made sure she wasn’t looming over him as she glared with a flame in her eyes, that he knew not to ignore. Gaster respected that about her, when it came to matters like this, she didn’t use her position and height to intimidate. As if she needed those to threaten someone, especially someone who knew her before being underground. “Right now, I want to talk like we did back during the war. No titles, no obligatory niceties, and none of that sugar coating or dropping of relevant details you do for my husband.”
Well, this is happening…
Placing his hands in his lab coat pockets, Gaster looked back at Toriel. “Then, Toriel, what can I do for you?”
“Why did my child come home, crying, saying you threatened them,” Toriel stood back to her full height and looked down at him, most likely to spare her back.
She wanted him to be straight forward with her, then that’s what she’ll get. With a casual shrug he said, “What was your child doing unsupervised in my lab?”
“That doesn’t give you the right to terrorize them!” Toriel snapped, “They came home, looking as pale as a ghost!”
So, Chara made the transition from ‘her’ to ‘them.’ Fine, he’ll respect that. “You’re lucky they didn’t come home just a soul.” Toriel snarled and Gaster continued, giving her a deadpan stare, “My lab is not safe for children.”
“They said you threatened them,” Toriel’s fangs gleamed as she exposed more of them when her lips curled back. As a skeleton, he tends to notice teeth, horns, and other bits of bone that protrudes from his, more fleshy, fellow monsters. Yet, before this moment, he never considered how sharp Toriel's fangs appeared.
(Despite Toriel's and Asgore being “goat monsters” and having some resemblance to the herbivore; calling them as such can result in a short sightedness. After all, what goat has large paws? Or fangs? This is something Gaster is learning.)
“L-Lady, I mean,” Everyone who wasn't watching with interest now was. Not only did Gaster, the proud, self-secured, skeleton he was just stutter, but he took a hesitant half step backwards while holding out his hand defensively; clearly wanting to escape.
But that notion was denied, as Toriel reach out and grabbed him by his coat, holding him in place. “Why, old friend,” she uttered venomously, “are you trying to flee? Perhaps you are guilty of something?”
‘This is how I die,’ Gaster thought, ‘surrounded by backstabbers who’d rather gawk than help. All the while Sans, my son… Sans!’
What would happen to his son if he died here? (Not that Toriel would actually kill him. Well, she might have, had she wittiness what occurred earlier.) He didn't want Sans to be orphaned. What would they do if they figured out his secret? Would they treat him as the child he is? Or as the thing he was originally going to be?
Gaster narrowed his eye sockets, glaring back at Toriel, “Are you insinuating something? Is there a crime you think I am guilty of?”
“According to Chara, you have a child locked up in a secret lab downstairs,” Toriel’s hand was trembling with pent up rage.
“Nonsense! While I will confess to having my own private section of this facility, I would never lock up a child! Monster or human, at that.”
Toriel watched his face carefully, looking for any hints of lying. Not seeing anything she released him, “It didn’t seem like something that Chara would just make up. Children have their imaginations, but that is beyond what I’ve normally heard from them.”
Gaster straightened his jacket, calming his nerves further in the process. “Well, if I had to guess,” he started, looking down at himself before looking back up at the Queen, “your child misunderstood what it is I am working on.”
“Is that so?” She folded her arms, face relaxing slightly, but the anger was still present. “Well, then, why don’t you show me what it is you are working on? And this ‘private section.’”
“Of course, if you would follow me,” Gaster turned, his gut instincts were right about moving labs. Toriel will be more skeptical, and thus, harder to convince than Asgore, but she can be reasoned with.
As they descend into the lab, Gaster ignored the stares as he passed by his workers. Let them gawk. This was a make or break moment, and his son remaining hidden would depend all on a monster he knew nothing about.
“Hello there, Chara,” Dr. R. sang out more than spoke, “It is an honor-”
“Where is it?” Chara snapped.
This was intriguing to the lizard monster, and she tilted her head, “Where is what?” Dr. R hummed, “Wouldn’t have happened to hear of my latest project? And here I thought it was kept a secret.”
“I’m talking about the thing Gaster brought you,” Chara huffed.
The lizard monster brightened up, “Oooh that! Well, I’m surprised you would find interest in it. But if that is what you want to see, if you would just follow me~”
With a simple wave of a claw like hand, she gestured for the human child to follow. They walked together from the lab and down the hall a short way. Dr. R lead the human to a room with filing cabinets, “Now, I put that box in one of these….” She hummed, “but I can’t remember which.”
“He was just here, how did you forget?” Chara sighed, “Look, I don’t want to hurt it, I just want to see what it can do.”
“Not sure I understand,” Dr. R. frowned, “But the box is somewhere in here… Shall we look?” She smiled brightly, and the human sighed and started opening drawers. All the while Dr. R. hummed an unheard song, sometimes singing a lyric or two.
Just Chara’s luck, the box was in the last cabinet checked. It was time wasted, but there was something that needed to be confirmed, and only by interacting with the thing would Chara know. Taking a deep breath, eager to relax, Chara reached over to lift the box flaps.

Ten UNDERTALE Fanworks Every Fan Needs to Check Out
It’s February 15th, time once again to celebrate International Fanworks Day! Seriously, how great is that? Whether it’s books, movies, comics, games or television series, fanworks make up a huge part of their communities. This year I’m tackling UNDERTALE, the game that most people (myself included) fell in love with and whose fandom is still going strong more than a year later.
Some of them have been completed, some of them are only partially done, and some of them have been forgotten. Regardless of their status, I think they’re special and amazing and I hope you will love them as much as I do. I’ll do my best to leave out any spoilers.
Death by Glamour
Here’s a neat animatic featuring our favorite human and robot. Animated by Alyssa Gerwing, this video makes their battle look really cool, bringing the fight sequence out of the box and into UNDERTALE’s real world. You have to love the pacing and timing, which is perfectly in sync with the boss music. The facial expressions really give it something extra, whether it be humor or drama. What a stylish video! @walkingmelonsaaa
Papyrus Finds a Human
This animation was an unexpected delight. This was not the cutesy video I thought it would be. With it’s mild swearing and cartoon violence, Mike (a.k.a. Piemations) created a brilliantly funny video. The voice acting is flawless. The punchlines hit home. Papyrus is the best. I can’t write much else without giving all the best bits away. Just go experience it for yourself. As an added bonus, I highly recommend turning on the subtitles while watching the video for the second time. You will not be disappointed.
UNDERTALE ANNIVERSARY
This animation blew me away. I was a fan of iscoppie’s Game Grumps animations before this, but wow. This six-minute video depicts a moment I rarely see people tackle: how Undyne and Alphys met. It’s a bittersweet meeting when you really think about it, and this animation captures and balances all of the emotions involved: fear, hope, resignation, awe. The colors are gorgeous, the voice talent is wonder, and the music is beautiful. This is the best UNDERTALE tribute to date. @iscoppie
The Sons of Gaster
There are many theories as to how, or even if, Sans and Papyrus are connected to W.D. Gaster. One popular theory is that they were created by the doctor. This two-part comic series by sansybones depicts the skeleton brothers’ beginnings: their time with Gaster, growing and gaining independence, and how the two bros become family. The black-and-white style–with the occasional blue–is very effective and looks really nice. I especially love Papyrus’ facial expressions; they capture his personality perfectly. One thing I do appreciate is that this isn’t just a Sans story. Papyrus is just as important and has just as much focus and growth. Sansybones’ depiction of the UNDERTALE characters is fantastic. Their feelings, struggles, and personalities feel genuine and sincere. It’s an emotional roller coaster well worth the ride. @sansybones
They Say He Shattered
I’m a big fan of the multiverse theory. I’ve talked about it extensively in regards to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you’re like me, then this comic is right up your alley. Emily plays with the idea of timelines collapsing and converging in They Say He Shattered, creating the best kind of mess. It’s a fascinating story that balances humor and seriousness very well. Each game ending results in another dimension, but it seems the very fabric of time and space has been broken. Characters come face-to-face with different realities or feel the effects of forces on their other selves. Some things happen out of order. Some things that never should have been are now possible. It’s really hard to explain, but well worth a read. I’m really excited to get to the bottom of this mystery. @theysayheshattered
A CHARActer Analysis
Normally when we think of “fanwork” we think of art, music, fanfiction, cosplay, videos, and animation. However, this thesis bears recognition. Toby Fox created a cast of characters rich in personality and full of life. Chara is one of the only characters in UNDERTALE to be almost unanimously revered and portrayed as one-dimensional. They’re evil and hate humanity and that’s the end of that. Only it’s not. In this analysis we are shown every detail we may have missed. Chara’s story is scattered throughout the game. There are so many subtle hints and clues that most people wouldn’t notice or even think twice about. This in-depth thesis is by far the best explanation of who/what Chara is, who they were, and their role in the overall game. With all of this evidence, you may find yourself viewing Chara in a completely different light. @thefloweryfanclub
Never a Lovely So Real
The artwork shown above was created by theslowesthnery.
Of all the UNDERTALE AU’s, the Gangster/Mob AU is my big favorite. I adore this AU, and this fanficiton was heaven-sent. Kaesa’s Never a Lovely So Real is loosely based on Hnery’s neat headcanons and spectacular art surrounding the Gangster AU. This story is told from Sans’ point of view as he tries to keep the family safe. You have all of your favorite major characters playing their roles in the operation, while a lot of minor characters show up frequently as well. I really appreciate that Sans and Alphys are science bros and have to work as a team. I normally don’t like a who lot of new characters being added into fanfictions, but here it works. Getting to know the rival gang members goes to show that not everything is black-and-white, especially in these types of situations. Much like the game, the “bad guys” aren’t always bad guys. One of the greatest things about this fanfiction is how much research and knowledge went into it. I was impressed by how authentic this story felt the first time I read through it. Kaesa did her homework and it shows. There’s mystery. There’s action. There’s romance. There’s suspense. This is a great work. Did I mention the Gangster AU was my favorite? @kaesaaurelia
Under Shield
The artwork shown above was created by hamstermastersamster.
Here we have my favorite post-true-pacifist story. Under Shield by Fantasia Wandering is a series of fics told out of order telling of Frisk growing up and growing into their role as ambassador, as well as dealing with their past and becoming part of a family again. Frisk is given a lot of character and background, but it never seems like too much. Frisk is a person with big feelings and big thoughts, and sometimes they can weigh too heavily on their mind. These feelings, accompanied with the struggles of growing up, are relatable to everyone and make it easy to slip into Frisk’s shoes. Although Frisk is the main focus, some of the main cast have important developments as well. One of the most powerful chapters in this series is the eighth part: Penance. Asgore’s redemption arc is a prominent theme throughout the series. He’s not immediately forgiven for his sins by Toriel, or even himself. This in turn affects his relationship with Frisk. It’s a process that takes many years and the reader is there for each important step. This fic’s strongest suit is its stunning imagery. The environments Fantasia has created are painted so vividly. Any reader can picture the settings in great detail. Overall, this is one well-written series. @fantasiawandering
Blood of the Covenant

Remember when PTA Sans was a thing? Well, this is the PTA slice-of-life UNDERTALE story the fans deserve. Blood of the Covenant takes place nearly a decade after the game. Everyone has grown up–and it shows–but they still retain their character. Doni’s characterization is so on point. This fic has the most realistic high school you’ll ever find. None of that Lifetime or Disney Channel nonsense here. The history teacher coaches the football team, the PTA is a hot mess, and aside form a few ass-hats the kids are generally nice and friendly. (Is this my high school? I feel like this was based on my high school.) The story’s strongest appeal is that every character’s time is balanced and utilized effectively. This cast is huge and yet every single one of them has their time to shine. I’ve read a lot of UNDERTALE PTA fics and most of them are a lot of fun, but a common trend in those stories is that the human members of the PTA (Linda, Helen, etc.) are usually so cartoonish and two-dimensional, like their only purpose is to be ignorant evil villains. Here our antagonists are fleshed out. They have feelings, struggles, even arcs of their own. They learn and grow just as the protagonists do. This is a fantastic, well-rounded story. I lost so much sleep the first time I read through it because I could not stop. It was all worth it, though. I promise. @doniblogs
The Scientist
The link provided leads to AO3, but you can also read it on Tumblr. The artwork shown above was created by hamstermastersamster.
This is my favorite pre-game scenario. Out of all the fanfictions I’ve read, this two-part series written by Pen has the best portrayal of Dr. W.D. Gaster and his backstory. The first part of the series, The Scientist, revolves around the life and times of the royal scientist before Dr. Alphys got the job. The passage of time feels seamless, from the point of monsters’ imprisonment to the end of Gaster’s existence. It makes sense and goes right along with UNDERTALE’s timeline. Everything fits together like a puzzle. I could go on and on about the relationship between Gaster and Sans. It is just so strong and told very well. They are co-workers instead of father and son as I’ve seen in many fanfictions. (I prefer the colleague dynamic, actually.) The audience can get a real sense that their bond teeters between healthy camaraderie and toxic friendship, eventually falling to the side of the latter. The second part in the series, Entropy, shifts the focus onto Sans and how he deals with the aftermath of Gaster’s disappearance. It shows Sans’ own decline; he is deteriorating into the character we see in-game. This story is as well-written and intriguing as its predecessor. It paints by far the most natural, realistic relationship between Papyrus and Sans. Their situation, their dialogue, and their banter is so believable. There’s something really pure about it that just makes me smile. This series, you guys. This series. @talkingsoup
So there you have it! I had so much fun making this list. a/n: welp… this is a 4k+ chapter… which cannot be split in the middle… so… enjoy?
You couldn’t fall asleep. You kept turning and tossing on your bed, your mind buzzing too loudly for you to relax.
After what seemed to be eons, you gave up on falling asleep anytime soon, sitting up to look at the time, finding that it was merely a bit after midnight.
What a crappy night…
You grumbled and got out your bed, putting on your shoes and pulling on your heavy jacket, not caring to change out of your pajamas. No one will notice anyways and you were cold so who gives a care.
You snuck out of the apartment and gently locked the door behind you, hiding the key inside a hole behind the pot by the entrance. You didn’t want to have anything on you besides your trusty knife after all.
You squared your shoulders, your breath swirling in white fog while you marched towards the diner, not able to think of a different place to go to.
But this time you took the long way, not in the mood to walk over drunkards and people sleeping scattered across the street.
The one time you did was enough.
So you walked in the frigid night, eyes glued to the illuminated skies, the street lights too bright to let the stars pierce through them. You grimaced in annoyance, hating the street lights for that annoyance of theirs.
The cold wind sliced into your nostrils when you breathed in. your body shivered. At last, you reached Raincatch Street and relaxed, your shoulders drooping and you slouched a bit back, head tilting back to look at the ink black skies illuminated by the yellowish red street lights, the cold invading the newly uncovered patch of skin by your action.
Your feet dragged you to the diner, your body remembering the way from the two years of walking down the same road. You met no one since the street is always empty at night, especially on a winter night.
Heh, worked to your advantage.
You finally neared the place and slumped forward, taking a deep sigh and looking up, wondering if you should wake Grillby up to open the door for you or just pick-lock it.
You reached the door and raised your hand to knock on the door—
Only for scuffling to echo in the peacefully silent street.
You tensed and looked around, trying to pinpoint the noise of the brawl while your hand strayed into the pocket, gripping the pocketknife in anticipation. You stepped to the diner’s side, looking to the path next to the structure in suspicion since the noise was coming from there.
Why is there fighting behind Grillby's…?
Wary, you treaded the path and circled the building, pressing yourself to the wall when the noises grew louder.
You inhaled deeply, preparing yourself, and gingerly stuck your head out as little as possible, eyes narrowing to focus on the dark area between this strip of houses to the next. Pipes and waste containers littered the area but it was still comparably clean to the deserted street so it wasn’t anything you couldn’t handle.
A shadow moved and you managed to register several people jumping on a small form and almost immediately falling back, the victim of the attack having stepped aside to let the people crash into each other.
Filling a sense of familiarity from the victim’s pose and curiosity over the new development, you spotted a waste container and ducked behind it, taking out the knife and flicking it open, peering from your hiding spot to survey the fighting.
The men surrounding the form sneered, one moving strangely in a way you couldn’t decipher from the darkness. “Yer seriously the ‘ead? Maybe ah spoiled lil’ princess, but I ain’t seeing any authority from yah.”
The victim shifted on their legs and said something you can’t hear. The assaulter laughed in a cracked way, suggesting that he was injured. “Oh, yer the talk of town, kid. 'ow 'bout ah smash yer 'ead and then we’ll see ’s in charge.”
You rolled your eyes in disappointment, so those are bullies. You didn’t really understand the whole authority since the man’s speech was worse than Grillby’s tendency to speak shortly but one thing you were able to deduce.
The kid wasn’t going to survive another assault of… you quickly counted five people… of five people again. Especially not in such a dark and tight space. And you weren’t going to turn down a chance to fight.
You were about to stand up and interrupt the battle when the victim bent down to pick up a slightly bent metal pipe. You raised a brow, stopping your ascent and waiting.
This should be interesting.
The form laughed and a clap was heard. Suddenly, three more shapes appeared and the group charged at the victim.
Cursing, you stood up and approached the fight. You always hated those kind of people. “Hey, cheaters!”
The group froze and turned to you. The main bully stepped forward, slightly taller than you but bigger, and grinned. “So the princess got some knight.”
“He’s not.” You jolted at the voice you were now close enough to hear.
“Hood?” You exclaimed, looking over the man’s shoulder to gaze on the victim, who became clearer as they approached you, the pipe dragging behind them.
“What are you doing here?” Hood asked as they circled the main bully and stood next to you, the hood shadowing their face completely. “It’s night.”
You shrugged. “Couldn’t sleep, so I decided to take a walk. What about you? Why are you picking a fight?”
Hood tilted their head. “I didn’t.”
“Oh, so they did?” You pointed with your thumb at the man centimeters from your face, who was growling with anger. Hood shrugged and you blinked. “You are weird.”
“You’re weirder…” Hood looked down and you snorted.
A meaty hand landed on your shoulder and you looked to the side to spot the main bully snarl at you. The man clenched your shoulder almost painfully. “yah 'ink yah can just ignore us?”
You frowned and stuck your knife in the offending hand, yanking it out and jumping away when the man howled in pain and stumbled back, holding his hand protectively.
Hood turned their head to you. “Too much…”
“Says the one holding the metal pipe.” You grinned and Hood shrugged, raising the pipe. You grin widened and your body fell into stance next to the hooded person. “Ready to smack some sense into bullies?”
“They aren’t bullies…” Hood replied and you laughed.
“Of course, of course.”
And you were off.
First in order, get the leader.
You pounced on the guy and pinned him down, pressing your knee onto his stabbed hand. The man was struggling, howling in pain but you simply punched him in the face a few times to quiet him down.
When the leader was out for the count, you jumped onto your feet and spun around to see the group trying to reach to you only to be stopped by Hood’s pipe.
The woman was like a blockade in the narrow space, the bent pipe extending their reach and slashing at the men any time they tried to come closer, only using the pipe to force them back.
So Hood doesn’t like to hurt people, you thought just as one man tried to be brave and came from around.
Hood didn’t show any hint that they noticed him, too busy holding the other seven off. But just before he managed to circle her, she swiveled to her side, braced her front leg on the ground and stabbed him with the bent pipe, slamming her other feet down and throwing him to the back of the group. Your jaw fell, watching in awe at the strength they had just exhibited.
Hood took a deep breath and turned their head to you. “Taking too long.”
You grinned and rushed to stand next to them, raising your knife, anticipation and excitement bubbling in your stomach, adrenaline pumping in your veins. “Sorry.”
Hood nodded and you charged at the group, twisting behind two assaulters and with one hand slashed one’s calf and with the other pulled the second man to the floor, pressing him down and using him as a base to pick yourself up and twist your legs around the first’s bent form’s neck, crashing him down as well.
You jumped back and slashed deeply into their foreheads, the metallic stench exploding in the tight space. With those slashes, you knew that even if they did get up, the blood would blind them.
They screamed in pain and you decided to leave them be. They won’t be a hindrance now.
The other five were flunking Hood, attacking her with fists and knives. The hooded person sled from between them, landing her pipe onto one’s head, bringing him down to the floor.
You circled your arms around another and stuck your knife into his shoulder, avoiding any major arteries or muscles. Then punched him in the head.
Three left.
Hood jumped behind you and shot their fist out, slamming it into your ambusher’s chest. She then stepped back and flung her pipe, catching him in the neck and sending him sprawling to the floor.
“Thanks!” You called and slashed at the seventh, who tried to catch you off guard as well. He screamed and staggered back, holding his arm.
You were about to deliver the last slash, but then the man smirked and Hood’s voice called. “Chara!”
You swiveled around and ducked just as a knife flew whistling over your head and caught the smirking man in the side.
Self-goal.
You picked yourself from the floor, ears ringing and heart pounding in your veins, seeing Hood holding the eighth in a chokehold, the man on his knees and struggling to free himself.
You walked towards the two, looming over the man with a maniacal smirk.
The man stiffened and growled.
Oh, brave.
Nice.
“So mind telling me why you were attacking Hood in the middle of the night?”
The man growled and Hood shrugged, putting their hand behind the man’s neck and his eyes rolled up, the big body slamming onto the floor, motionless.
You stared at Frisk, adrenaline clouding your logic, and grinned mischievously. “So How about a date?”
Hood jerked and looked up, the hoodie somehow still up but dirtied with grime and a bit of blood. “Date?”
You shrugged, straightening up and stretching, your chest still tight and hot. You were so pumped for another fight. It ended too soon for your enjoyment.
But man, was fighting alongside Hood exhilarating. They sure knew how to make a show.
Hood tilted their head but at the end simply stood up and placed their hand on your sleeve, sending tingles up your arm. “You mean like the relationship?”
You nodded, blushing a bit as you led the other away from the bloodied mess and out to the main street, circling the building to knock on the main door.
“Yeah. I was meaning to make certain that you didn’t misunderstood me…” You felt a bit hot at the questioning look you got.
“You mean?”
Oh come on! Was Hood really trying to get you to say it?
You scoffed. “I meant the 'I like you’ thing. I didn’t mean it as friends.”
You expected another question, but Frisk simply shrugged. “I know.”
“Oh…” Now you felt a bit stupid. Of course they understood that. They’re clueless, not stupid.
You took a deep breath. “So I know a nice place. And on Monday Grillby is going to close the diner for a day.”
“Why?”
“He wants to visit his family in the next city and decided to give us a day off.”
“Oh… so where do you want to go?” Frisk asked, peering into the glass vanes on the door. You smirked, still red faced because of the realization that you had just asked them out officially.
…
Your mind cleared up immediately and you nearly paled in horror.
Oh god, you actually asked them out! And they agreed!
Your chest swelled with pride despite your face and ears burning.
“W—” You didn’t get a chance to finish since the door opened and Grillby stood there, clad in red sweatpants and a white button up shirt that was haphazardly thrown on and buttoned. His glasses were slightly skewed and his red hair spiky and greasy.
You grinned, conflicting emotions of giddiness and uneasiness raging in your stomach, and flashed him thumbs up. “So got a girl we didn’t hear of?”
Girllby frowned in confusion. “…Chara?”
“'Sup, boss?” You shrugged and dragged Hood into the diner, pushing by the redhead and into the chilled warmth of the diner. It was still warmer than the outside but you felt the chills.
Grillby slammed his hand on your shoulder. “…why here…?”
You huffed. “Some people assaulted Hood. I was passing by and helped. I need your shower.”
The man eyed you for a long while before turning to Frisk. “…Again…?”
Hood nodded.
You stiffened, excitement evaporating, and turned to glare at the man. “What do you mean 'again’?”
Grillby looked at you and then as if resigning to fate he replied. “…Happens sometimes…”
You bristled, heart sinking. “And you didn’t tell me?”
The man adjusted his glasses and turned to you, green eyes boring into your intensely. “…too eager…”
You growled. “And? You made Hood fight them alone all this time? Eight men attacked them this time! And you weren’t even out there to help her!”
Frisk placed a hand on you shoulder and forced you to turn to them. You glowered at them and got a fist to the chest.
You took a step back, the punch softened enough not to knock the air out of your lungs but it still took you by surprise.
Okay, point taken.
You sighed and folded your arms. “Alright then. Please enlighten me.”
Hood tugged at their hoodie strings. “Grillby can’t fight.”
“I know that! But he has a gun!”
“I told him I will… protect this place alone.”
That had made you shut up. Your chest went cold and your eyes widened. “…What?”
Hood shrugged. “Didn’t want you… worried…”
“Hood, you live on the streets!” You exclaimed and she tensed.
“I sleep here when I fight…”
That explains why she is so early on some days. It made your blood boil. “So he hired you to be a bodyguard. He prefers to have you outside to protect this place than to just rent you a room.”
Grillby didn’t answer but Hood shook their head. “I made the deal.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m not used to sleep inside…”
You blinked. “Huh?”
The woman shrugged, posture guarded. “I prefer the streets… I know them. I feel… trapped in a room…”
You trembled, not sure if from anger or cold realization.
Hood preferred the outside stench and dirt than the safety of a house… you turned to Grillby. “You tried to rent the room to them?”
He nodded. You turned to Hood. “And you rejected it.”
Hood nodded.
“So you made a deal…”
They both nodded.
You took a deep breath and went to a table, took a chair off and flipped it so you could sit on it, elbows on the table and head in hands, fingers tangles in your hair. “…this is so fucked up… ”
Hood placed a hand on your back. “Didn’t want to upset you…”
“Well, you did. I would have liked to be notified on what’s going on here. I am the second worker of this place. I do everything except live here!” You gritted your teeth in humiliation. “And apparently I can’t even be trusted!?”
The hand clutched your coat. “I’m sorry…”
“Well, 'sorry’ doesn’t cut it, Frisk!” You turned to them in anger, the hooded person taking a step back with tensed shoulders, a certain wariness you had never noticed vanishing coming back. You should feel upset for making them wary, but you just feel angry.
Betrayed.
You looked at your boss. “If I can’t be trusted with this kind of information. What else have you been hiding from me, huh? Is the diner actually the hotspot of illegal deals? Is it getting bankrupted? Are you secretly not Grillby? If you can’t trust me with this, what else can’t you trust me with!?”
You worked those two years so hard. You hated talking to people yet you devoted yourself to this place out of respect to Grillby and the paycheck.
You still remembered when your mother showed you the flyer for the new diner opening up in the town that needed workers. And how you, with your glorified secluded emo self, came and offered yourself for the job because 'mom nagged me’.
Grillby hired you on the spot and you never understood why.
You still didn’t understand why.
You trembled when you got no answer. “You can’t answer me?”
Grillby placed a hand on Hood’s shoulder and gave them a long stare. They nodded and retreated to the stairs, stopping there for a moment, hesitating, but then clenched their fists and climbed the stairs.
You shook from anger.
Grillby flipped down a chair and sat on it, messaging his throat and then straightening up, green eyes firm.
“…Chara, I did it because… I did not want to burden you…”
You froze, eyes widening. Grillby’s voice was softer and cracked at the middle. But he spoke. He spoke a whole sentence.
Grillby shrugged, still messaging his throat. “…I can speak… for a little while… it hurts though…”
You clutched the chair between your legs, your teeth gritted so hard they would probably break. “Another thing you hid from me?”
“No… no one knows.”
He’s trying to pacify you. And you hated yourself a bit for falling to it.
You folded your arms and look childishly away, “What do you mean 'not burden me’?”
The redhead looked at you. “…You do so much… I didn’t want… you losing sleep…”
Your chest warmed but you stomped down at the feeling, stubbornly keeping your anger. “You thought I would never find out?”
The man shook his head.
“So you wanted me to find it out on my own?”
Another shake.
“Then what!? When would you have told me?”
Silence.
You glared back at your boss. “Well?”
“…I don’t know…”
So basically… it wasn’t out of malice. “So tell me… how can I trust you now that I know you’re capable of withholding important information from me?”
Grillby shrugged. “…You can't… but you have to…”
Can’t argue with that. “Military logic?”
A nod.
You exhaled, defeated. You really couldn’t stay angry at him for long. You knew he was telling the truth. You knew you can trust him.
But it still stung.
“Just… just don’t ever think withholding information that I need to know is a good idea, okay?” You growled. He nodded.
“Alright, then,” You spat out miserably, slapping your hands over your knees and pushing yourself up, “Guess it’s time for me to head home and 'sleep’.”
Grillby stood up as well and gestured to the staircase. “…Apologize…”
Back to one word sentences you see.
“Why?”
Grillby raised a brow and you felt scolded. You groaned in frustration, your arms spread in annoyance and defeat, “Fine, fine!!! I can’t seem to get anything my way today anyways!”
You stomped to the stairs.
You heard the shower running as you ascended the steps and so you decided to sit on the guest bed, knowing Hood would have to come here if they wanted to sleep.
You reclined on your hands and looked over the room, searching for something that screamed 'Frisk’.
It looked as nondescript as before.
You slowly calmed down, the new adrenaline dissipating, and starting to feel a bit stupid over your outburst. Grillby had any right not to tell you things and you still didn’t know much about Hood so it’s not like they were hiding things on purpose.
Perhaps you had… overreacted.
Now you understand why Grillby had sent you up here.
The water stopped and soon shuffling came closer to the room and Hood ventured to the darkened room, freezing at the doorstep when they saw you. They were holding their hoodie in one hand, letting their face go uncovered.
There is a new healing scar over their jaw.
Your stomach twisted.
The woman sighed and held the hoodie closer to their chest, wary of your next action. You looked at them, taking in the person you were supposed to be dating right now.
Funny how it felt like you became enemies instead.
You grimaced. “So apparently I am a child throwing a tantrum.”
Hood flinched.
“You know that I don’t cringe from fighting.”
“You should be sleeping,” The homeless finally said.
“You also.”
“I… don’t sleep much…” They admitted. “At least not at once…”
“So you take naps during the day?” You inquired. They nodded. You hummed. You didn’t expect that.
Another thing you didn’t know.
After a long awkward silence, you sighed and petted the spot next to you. Hood raised their eyes in confusion, the orbs blank as always but their brows raised.
You shrugged. “Sit, please. I can’t apologize properly like that.”
“Oh…” The woman entered the room and approached the bed, sitting next to you, holding their hoodie tightly, looking much smaller than that person who threw a man with a bent pipe less than an hour ago.
A small, cautious child instead of a confident, strong fighter.
You had made them look like that.
You bit your lip and wrapped your arm around their shoulders, pulling them flush against your side.
Hood tensed and you rubbed their arm, resting your cheek on their hair, not able to look into their eyes just yet. “I'm… I’m sorry, I guess…? we’re different people with different views. I wasn’t angry at you more than I was angry at Grillby for lying to me…
I just… I just hate it when people lie to my face. How can I trust someone who won’t tell me the truth?”
Frisk was silent throughout your short confession, their hold on their hoodie loosening. Then when you asked the question, they relaxed and shrugged. “People can lie to protect.”
“It’s still a lie.”
“Chara…” Frisk withdrew from the embrace and turned to you, eyes eerily sharp. You stare back, startling when they placed a hand on your cheek. “You’re not the only one here. Not everything is about you…”
You snorted, heart beating loudly in your throat. “You just lowkey called me a spoiled brat.”
Hood shrugged, stroking your cheek. You flushed from the sparks their touch caused. “You show too much.”
You raised a brow. “You’re still insulting me, Hood.”
They ignored your comment. “You are a survivor but can’t remember. That’s why you’re arrogant.”
“Now you’re just pushing it.” You didn’t know when, but your faces were closer now. The hand on your cheek curled behind your jawbone.
Hood tilted their head. “You have much to learn.”
You smirked. “You’re no better.”
“I know.”
“Wow, self-degrading is no good.” You were millimeters from each other. Your hand moved to cover the hand Frisk braced on the bed.
“I know my flaws.”
“Like?” You pushed, grinning in intrigue. Frisk inhaled and their eyes bore into yours, stopping you in your place.
“I am selfish…” They whispered. “I'm leaving my position unattended.”
You raised a brow. Position? “That’s not so bad. I think you’re too secretive.”
“Could be.” Frisk’s eyelids lowered a bit and they pulled your face lower, your lips nearly touching. “I don’t understand people…”
“No close friends?” Frisk shook their head. “You have been alone ever since your father?”
A shrug. “Easier that way… don’t want to be responsible for someone else.”
You brought your free hand to their face, brushing their lips. “What about me? You hid this from me. You took responsibility of this place’s safety.”
Frisk’s breath hitched and they drew back, releasing your face to cup your hand and softly pressed their lips gently to your palm. Your hand went on fire and you could accurately feel the soft yet dry muscles against your heated skin. Your breath quickened.
“Frisk?”
They mumbled against your hand, eyes half-lidded yet still staring holes into your skin. “I don’t want anyone touching what’s mine.”
“So you’re possessive as well,” You muttered, your strength leaving you. Hood shrugged and nuzzled to your hand, their eyes closed.
“I’m flawed. You’re flawed.”
“I know that…” You moved up the hand covering Hood’s, running it up the other’s arm until you clutched their upper arm. “What’s your point?”
Hood opened their eyes, locking you in place. “I need to apologize as well for keeping it a secret.”
You huffed out a laugh. You weren’t expecting that. “I need to apologize for acting like a child.”
“Accepted.”
You grinned. “Accepted.”
Now what?
You took a deep breath and bent lower, pulling Frisk’s face closer to you. The sharp eyes fluttered close and they clutched your hand, their cheeks slightly red. Their breath hit your face and you were reminded of your dream.
You smiled and pressed your lips to theirs.
Frisk’s hand bracing the bed came up to clutch at your shoulder, a shudder going through their body. You shivered from the sensations and pulled their face closer.
Their lips were cracked and rubbed a bit strangely your mouth, but you could only tremble at the warmth washing you over.
Frisk tilted their head and drew back, brushing their lips with yours as they breathed heavily, cheeks flushed. “Weird…”
You snorted, feeling like you were burning up. “Wow, what a way to ruin a man’s pride.”
Frisk shrugged. “Good weird.”
“Like that’s any better.” You chuckled and shook your head. “You really need to learn cues.”
Frisk’s shoulders shook a bit and their lips quirked up a bit.
Your eyes widened.
Did they just… laugh?
Frisk noticed your shock and their shoulders slumped. “Was funny…”
“It wasn’t even a joke. Is your humor bad or something?”
“Shut up…” The other frowned and punched your chest softly. You chuckled and lowered your head to rest on their shoulder. Frisk tensed a bit at your action, then slumped and made a strange humming noise.
You inhaled the earthy smell and then had a mischievous thought. You turned your head and pressed your lips to their neck.
Frisk tensed and shuddered, a hand pushing you away. You fell onto the bed, sniggering and laughing when you saw Frisk clutching their neck, eyes wide and mouth gaping.
“Oh god! You had to see your face!” You laughed, rolling away when they tried to hit you. You turned and jumped off the bed, smirking at the smaller person.
Frisk rubbed their neck and stood up, rushing up to you.
Oh crap.
You cracked up as you evaded their punches, realizing that this was a game now.
You smirked and jumped over the bed, turning to face Frisk.
Only for her to push your back.
When did they? You fell onto the bed and turned around to gape at the woman.
“When did you get behind me?”
Frisk shrugged, eyes shining golden in the low light.
Your stomach flipped.
You coughed and sat up. “You really are a ninja…”
“Ninja?” Frisk asked in confusion as they sat next to your fallen form.
You shrugged. “I’ll show you. But they’re like Japanese spies who are able to sneak everywhere.”
They 'oh'ed and yawned. You chuckled easily and got up, pushing the other to lie down. “Go to sleep, ninja.”
Frisk frowned but then slumped. “Good night…”
Your smile softened. “Good night, Frisk.”
You turned around, about to go to the door when a hand clasped around your wrist.
You blinked and turned back. Frisk was sitting up, fingers clenched.
“Frisk?”
The woman took a deep breath and stood up, pulling your arm and forcing you to bend, pressing their lips to yours when you were low enough.
Your eyes widened in shock, mouth gaping when they released you and lied back down, their back to you.
You stood there for a few more moments before managing to force yourself to exit the room.
You closed the door behind you and sled down until you were sitting on the floor, hands covering your lower face, your body boiling with adrenaline and strange eagerness.
That was… a really weird night… you couldn’t even recall the anger you were in before.
You didn’t even mind that both Frisk and Grillby lied to you…
You froze then begun to snigger, smothering your chuckles in your hands.
“So you’re also manipulative as fuck…” You chuckled to yourself.
You really hate those kind of people…
But you can’t help but feel a bit happy.
