honestly I absolutely love the Avvar in Jaws of Hakkon. How they worship the gods, how they view the world around them, how accepting they are and just how interesting they are too. I absolutely despise how the Inquisitor and Companions make commentary as if they're stupid or wrong in their beliefs, or that they're "just crazy people who worship spirits".

The dialogue you don't choose or even the ones you do are on the line of condescending, and it's frankly insulting, especially that all options on the dialogue wheel fall on that line.

the Avvar are so fucking cool, I hate we only get a DLC with them. (I also miss the Chasind - I wish they weren't forgotten or left in the dirt by BioWare :( )

The S10 island is full of criminals (charged with things done in different seasons timelines) and it’s the Time Police’s responsibility to set things right… but unfortunately this is also Grian and Demise is just a game to get ppl to do the work for him.

There are things like witches and Magic, but lately there has also been a rise of the Machine and the steam punk era with the introduction of the autocrafter.

Rook knows that the number one way to get pinned to the nearest surface whenever they feel like it is to say the words 'I'm ovulating' and watch Emmrich's eyes go three shades darker. Emmrich's all, "Oh darling your pleasure is my pleasure" until Rook says put a baby in me and suddenly Emmrich's going to die if he doesn't get it in within the next six seconds I'm DERANGED

Halloween Dancers

I had an idea, I'll probably write it properly later but for now I'm getting it out of my head. I was reading a post a out Dash being a talkshow host and leading to them outing Amity and this came to mind.

A cousin of a citizen of Amity heard all about all the crazy stuff going down, they keep them updated in their weekly phone calls, but thought they were making it up. Eventually divolves into an argument and they decide to look to prove them wrong. And find the internet oddly sanitised, which makes them look deeper. Eventually they get others involved wondering tf is going on over in Illinois. They manage to break through but mess up, instead boosting the signal so much that the halloween livestreams take over a large chunk of American media. T.v. s, computers, phones, etc all playing the phantom streams, where someone sees phantom just chilling and starts streaming. this time it's Samhain and the place is eerie. Blue tinged fog covers the place, it's dark out, no living person in sight and the camera pointed to the sky. In the sky you see glowing figures dancing to music coming from nowhere. An ageless youth in regal clothes spinning his partner, white hair drifing like he's underwater, his partner dressed like the pharohs of old spinning alongside him. A woman dressed in victorian ballgowns joining their dance. Other etheral beings coming out of the woodwork, spinning in the sky alongside their king. The dead dancing in the starlit sky as the veil becomes thin enough they can all come through with no major issues. And this haunting scene taking over every screen within the signals range. As the hours go by the sun begins to rise and the fog fades. they bow and begin to fade back into the realms, leaving the original three waltzing in the sunrise as the stars fade before leaving themselves and the stream cuts off.

Turns out their cousin wasn't lying, wierd stuff is going on in Amity, and no one, including the JL, knew about it. Someones head was going to rule for the lack of info. This stunk of a coverup.

Veilguard Verse Tags, timeline, and headcanons

timeline: - rather than list what we're all familiar with, some basic points:

In addition to dreams, Solas can talk to Rook and those who are sensitive to spirits ala Emmrich and Lucanis/Spite in places where the Veil is thin or in the Crossroads, as long as Rook's around. Anyone can talk to Solas at a Fen'harel altar; they're like walkie-talkies.

Rooks start at very low approval, for obvious reasons. Their relationship is adversarial. To Solas, Rook is "an irritant", a "child", and a tool. They tossed him in jail, took away his control and his goal, and unleashed his worst enemies. It doesn't matter how kind, snarky, or aggressive a Rook is. They are, to him, a jailor and an enemy. As such, I don't see how a ship with Rook and Solas would work.

Solas is a textbook trickster god in datv, far more than he is 'the god of lies.' He bargains, he cheats, he uses people. It's in his lore, and it's in every mythological story that has a trickster irl. He'll act accordingly.

He advises the team up until they kill Ghilan'nain, when he's finally able to pull a switcheroo and break free. He fights Elgar'nan's forces in Minrathous, and tries to trick Rook into killing Elgar'nan and bringing down the Veil. may i suggest a recommendation for anyone in love with the city spirit concepts to check out, gotham academy, olive silverlock, and the dc villain known as calamity. i feel it could feed all of your creative flames.

for those who aren't into digging up the comics, gotham academy has several videos on youtube where people basicly read them to you.

but i feel with those three twigs via wiki, dpxdc fans who love amity and gotham as city spirits with tension especially can start a bonfire.
