hi!! this is kinda a weird question but ur post about characterization for french ccs is rlly helpful for writing, so i was wondering if u had any like . tips or advice about speaking patterns or like. common terms or phrases they use and stuff like that. i have a lot of issues with auditory processing and other hearing stuff that makes it like . hard for me to always understand speech patterns or just like . what people are actually saying so if u have any like . advice or info about like How They Talk that u could put in text or like specific that would be cool. no worries if u dont/cant btw i completely get it i just remembered that u were the one w the previous helpful post ::D

Yeah, no problem I could try ! :D Now keep in mind again I'm not necessarily an expert, and I'm just doing this because it's fun. I still might make some mistakes, and miss some important details, but 'Ill do my best. SO

Let's go for HOW DO THE FRENCH (and swiss) CCS TALK :

Let's start with

ETOILES : So I feel like it might be the easiest because he's the clearest to me. He tends to speak at a normal space and in english with a noticeable slighly french accent, but not an extreme one. He likes to crack jokes constantly when he speaks with other people (most of the time hyping up others, and self deprecating, you know the "You are a legend, I am dumb".) . He can drop pearls of wisdom randomly through ridiculous metaphors ("You don't need to worry, My name means stars, that means that when you look I'm here." "It's like crossing the road, you have to, and there is cars, you need to be careful, but it can't be all you focus on. Wait I'm not sure about that one...") and sometimes actually genuine and inspiring, but more often that not in the tone of discussion, it doesn't sound like he's dispensing "wisdom of the elders", he's just a humble guy talking with you and giving a random advice. He often says in french "Wow a flop" when something doesn't work. Or "c.s.c." (Contre Con Camp, a football term meaning scoring against your own team) when he comments on someone being a tryhard for example ("WOW such a tryhard (csc)"). He'll often makes the joke that nobody likes him when they don't answer in chat to himself, (or chat) and will directly tell them "You want me to die irl don't you?" ensues a myriad of "holy shit you want me to die for real" answered by the "NOO" of the other one. Two last details that came to me, he rarely actually answers by "no" or "yes", he often use "Yeh yeh yeh", or "no no no". He also uses a lot of "euuuuh..." when looking for his words when speaking.

AYPIERRE : He is fairly simple too. He has a very relaxed tone, speaks slightly slower than most people, and has slightly noticeable french accent but less so than others. His tone differenciate between three states : Focused (while building or infiltrating a base), relaxed, and humourous. Note that he's never fully serious, he has that constant gremlin energy and smile that makes him want to make jokes that will make everybody cringe (his favorite pastime.) The only time he's been serious and slightly upset was when he earned gegg died or when he learned that the federation was trying to replicate his wine (there you can see his priorities). Most of the time people are assuming the worst when it's his countless time he starts a conversation with "So, I did something..." and is the type of guy to say "*known illegal act* is a strong word, let's say it's more like *not necessarily better*". I don't follow him as much, so I currently have no other mannerism in mind.

BAGHERA : I feel like she is a bit harder to pin down. When speaking in english she has a very noticeable accent, especially when she is tired. And talks a bit fast, especially in french. Though she doesn't crack jokes constantly, she has a constant chaotic energy that makes her say random things at times. She often say "Oh Yeaaaah" when she is happy or hyped about something, mostly when she is with other people to show them she is happy too. When she is ashamed or not understanding something she likes to take a voice we call the "Antoine Croute" voice (a character she played in a Rp series on GTA V), it's high pitched and really shy. (imagine a little "wut... ?"). She can be really serious, especially when investigating. She almost nver express vocally, in tone at least, her anger. Instead she sounds incredibly cold, like she was with ElQuackity. Her voice when serious drops a bit, and she speaks a bit faster. There is probably plenty more but I'm starting to get tired.

ANTOINE : He is the hardest to me because it is even hard to pin down in french. He has most of the time a very serious tone, while he ironically constantly making either dark jokes based on irony and cynism OR a pun. Because of this, it's sometimes hard to pin what's a joke and what's serious. His accent alternates between horrible french accent OR almost ProPeR eNgliSH. Even when discussing absolutely batshit insane things he sounds serious (he is not in reality, but it's a form of humor in itself). OCCASIONALLY he'll break and cracks a smile, and sometimes, even the heartiest laugh you've ever heard, a very vocal and deep "AHAHAHAHA" that you can hear a mile away (but it happens rarely.) Though I didn't specify, most people, including the french, stutter at least a little bit, and search their words, (like I said for Etoiles' "euh".) but Antoine tends to have a very clear speech, only occasionally looking for a translation. In the same vein, he also has a very quick reaction and can answer with a pun almost instantly (very impressive, especially when it's not his native language.)

That's pretty much all I can think of right now, and I'm tired. Maybe it's not exactly what you asked, but it's what I can muster. Hopes that helped :D

that's been something I've been stuck on! I really want to avoid the typical webcomic upload schedule of a certain number of pages per week because I've had bad luck with it before and it ended up creating a ton of stress for me and makes the process go waaaay slower. I really want to work on everything as if I'm making one finished peace so that my art style is more consistent and my work flow is more manageable. What I'm thinking about doing is finishing each part and then posting it all together, and then potentially posting chunks of pages on my patreon as I work. I am a bit concerned about overwhelming myself and underestimating how much work I'm gonna have to pour into this, my first part is complete and is around 30k words which is. obviously a lot LOL. and considering I work a full time job on top of everything I can't dedicate as much time to my art as I'd like. in an ideal world I would love to get enough financial support for my art to be able to quit my day job and dedicate all my time to finishing projects like this, but I think that's something far in the future. otherwise I'm gonna be taking things one step at a time and encourage myself to stay motivated :) its a project I really care about and seeing people be excited really helps a lot

Hihi! I am a super big fan of your works, especially ILM! I just have a couple questions for you (so sorry if you've been asked these before; I tried to look but I couldn't see anything on these, but I'm kinda blind lmao): how long does it take you to write those super long chapters (e.g. vs in ILM)? How many words do you typically write per day? How do you deal with writer's block and have you ever dealt with perfectionism with your writing and, if so, how did you overcome that?

Generally, the shorter chapters took a week, the long ones later in fic often took two weeks, but some of the really really long ones (IE Vs and Rainbow Connection) took 3-4 weeks. Which is still a insane turnaround, given those were book length. 😅

The rest of these questions are harder to answer, because the answer isn’t consistent. For most of my life? I have been able naturally to churn out staggering amounts of content virtually overnight. I went through some intense trauma at the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 though, on through the next year as well, and it kind of broke me, honestly. I dealt with writer’s block many times before then in my life, and my answer would have been “Make yourself start, and after the first twenty minutes, it’s easier. Even if you have to rewrite a lot, some of it will be good,” and “make sure the reason isn’t you genuinely need a break and if it is, take one,” and “Watch/read/play stories that inspire you—that brings passion often faster than anything.”

That’s what’s worked most of my life.

But there are tiers to difficult circumstances. And I still haven’t fully recovered. I write, but I’m a lot slower right now. Sometimes I can’t at all. And there’s very little I can do about it, which is new and frustrating. I had commissions in 2020 (requested, not paid) I just never did, because I just physically could not, which had never happened in my life before, so I didn’t realize that fast enough to handle it well, and I think maybe I’ll feel guilt over that forever. — still, some advice holds steady I suppose. For any kind of writing block, the most common success I’ve experienced, even in extreme duress, is genuine inspiration. Seek out something new and impressive—movies often work especially, but whatever thrills you. Rp like d&d can help too. It can give you motivation that helps override the rest.

If it’s something more serious, like I have now, you need to find the root cause instead, and heal it. That’s a long process sometimes, but there’s really no other way, and it’s worth it.

Anyway, the Ziracona who wrote ILM had a word count per day I’m not sure of, but something disgusting probably like 7,000-16,000. Now I don’t really have one, because it’s not that I write slow per day, it’s that there’s a lot fewer days I can write. So maybe it’s steady. I dunno. Haven’t thought about it in a while.

For perfectionism, I’m sure I have, but that’s easier to handle. The best things for that are start out by writing things you especially like anyway (you’ll be less critical of your favorite tropes), get at least one friend who hyped you and is a good source of positive enforcement who doesn’t mind doing beta for you and you’ll be alright, and take a break after writing and editing before editing more, because the more you read a passage, the worse it will seem to you as it loses freshness and you lose energy. You’ll become unduly critical, but fresh eyes will see it more as it is.

omg what a fun question! i wish i had a super awesome, amazing process that was step by step, but it's a little chaotic, so i apologize in advance lol. i'm putting this under a read more so people don't have to scroll past five paragraphs.

i brainstorm a lot. as of late, i start with a trope i really like and wanna write because it helps me create a plot surrounding that idea. and by trope, i'm not talking one bed trope, but more like genre of romance i guess? like second chance or friends to lovers, etc.

then i talk to a friend (aka @dani746, my partner in crime) and flesh out the bigger plot points that will happen. i try to decide on what version/type of reader i wanna write as well as how they fall in love. p much all my fics are slower burns because i hate insta love.

i work scene by scene and i write chronologically as well (it doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me). but with that being said, i also write myself little notes either at the top or bottom of the google doc my fic is on. if it's a farther out note, something that will happen a lot later in the fic, i'll put it at the top, but if it's midnight and i had an idea for the scene i'm working on, i'll put it at the bottom.

i cannot stress this enough, but having a proofreader, or even a hype man, is so helpful! daniela has helped me so much from catching typos to making suggestions or even just hyping me up.

lastly, i'm a bit particular when it comes to organizing my fics. so i try to organize it by having a "before" and "after" or in tatgylb having "day ___" just to separate the events. truthfully, i started doing this bc i didn't like the way the dashes looked in my drafts and i didn't know how to do special line breaks like other people lol.

My birthday is coming up, and it's around this time of year where I feel quite a bit depressed. Instead of allowing myself to wallow in it completely, I will instead speak on some of my accomplishments both big and small and some things I am looking forward to.

I successfully completed year two of my sticker club. I was so afraid to even try, but I finally let myself try. I can confidently say that I get so much joy each month coming up with sticker designs. I am eager to see what year three pushes me to create.

I deiced to take it slow with my shop updates. I still have a full time job and it drains me, but I'm not quitting on it. I am taking things at my own pace. I make things and make small updates as I go. It may be slower, but it's no race. I create the best work when I'm moving to my own pacing.

I've started the process of down sizing things, and am working on having a better relationship with material things. I'm not perfect, I still love and collect a LOT of stuff, but I'm putting my energy to better use. Finding new homes for things that no longer serve me and it's been a slow but steady process. My room enclosure isn't 100% where I want it to be, but it is headed there.

Last, but certainly not least, I have been trying my best to be more present and reach out more. I tend to be quite reserved, and due to past trauma, am forever unaware how people see me. I have been working on taking things at face value, and watering the garden and overall trying to be more personable. I feel like I have made some really good pals and am hopefully making the strides to deepen the friendships. I am better suited for closer friends than casual, so I'm excited to keep talking and getting to know the friends I have now better!

I got myself a planner and I was super hype to get it, but got pretty anxious as it got closer to the active date so that I could start using it. I finally jumped in and just started writing and doodling. I love making to do lists, but planning has always been difficult for me. I do not properly conceptualize time chunks, so I often over book myself. I decided to use it as a journal, so to speak, and not put a ton of pressure on myself if things aren't "perfect".

I'm looking forward to blogging more. With the way social media has been taking a turn, I feel like I am longing for long form content. I am looking forward to posting more updates here. Sharing casual content to break from having to constantly promote my art, my sticker shop and my patreon.

I'm looking forward to getting to know myself better. I learned so much about myself this year and am coming to terms with all of that.

This year I am planning to journal more, work on my planner, start reading manga, more reading in general, and getting better at taking up space.

dorothea: i feel like when you surround this song with the heaviness that comes later in the album, it comes off as immature and quiant. which, i understand the artistic merit in that, but slipping it earlier in the tracklist both lets it shine and gives us something to build off of. also, i wanted to put the continuing narrative on evermore in the same slots as the continuing narrative on folklore, and cardigan was track two-- the two players in each that were left behind while their counterpart fucked off outta town

cowboy like me: we have our first slow song! textually and metatextuality, you've been hooked, now it's time to settle in for the long haul. also practically, i just couldn't put another slower song towards in the back half, it was turning into a bit of a sludge

gold rush: practically, we need something with a beat to break up two slow songs. narratively, it's building off the more "this wasn't supposed to happen to me" elements of cowboy like me and leading to the commitment issues of...

champagne problems: cmon. also, i like how so many of the track fives are about being left behind, and this one is about leaving

right where you left me: speaking of that leaving vs being left, it's the answering perspective to champagne problems. it also accomplishes the task of track sixes: pulling you out of the melancholy that the track fives leave you with while still giving you tools to process it

happiness: it starts in the same place as right where you left me, being completely unable to move on, and then it builds into something much more hopeful

tis the damn season: track eight is another continuing story spot-- a summer fling that you thought would never end on folklore, a winter fling that has already ended a million years ago on evermore. this is the placing that i'm most shaky on-- happiness is another song you kinda gotta recover from, and i don't know if ttds quite accomplishes it. it has a slow start but there's a driving beat throughout and it builds to a very shout-y place, so it's giving you space to recover while leaving you on a high, and if it was followed by an upbeat song then i think i'd feel better about it.

tolerate it: this is placed looking ahead at ivy-- cheating is hard to justify, but establishing this feeling of a crushing, inescapable, loveless relationship goes a long way to making it more palatable

ivy: the illicit affairs slot! also builds off tolerate it in a really nice way

coney island: building off the last two tracks, it's the flipped perspective off tolerate it-- looking at a relationship and wondering how it all fell apart without you even noticing. now i'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life -> sorry for not making you my centerfold

closure: mad woman slot! fuck all those sad songs time to be ANGRY

marjorie: epiphany slot. also i think it works better after closure than before it, it's kinda the flip of not getting closure

evermore: betty slot! i know this isn't canonically part of that story, but it just fits so well. where our two main protagonists come together. also it builds off that "there is no closure, you just keep living until you can breathe" theme of the past few songs

it's time to go: do i need to explain this.i feel like this is self-evident

+ long story short: to play off the lakes and the joke of like. long story short, tl;dr, it sucks but it gets better

"Horizons" first impressions

Okay, so I finally have time to properly listen to the new "Horizons" songs, and this post is just me screaming into the void about my first impressions. You can either join me on the ride, or ignore my ramblings, the choice is yours to make.

First of all. GOD BLESS Starset for putting lyrics in the videos on Youtube. I have auditory processing like an earthworm and lyric videos are straight up a blessing.

Ok, let's start.

Otherworldly

- This makes my hopeless romantic demisexual heart VERY happy - Seriously though the lyrics - I want this playing on my wedding - However every Starset love song makes me so fucking lovelorn like I've never wanted to hold a hand so badly never I SWEAR - Okay okay I'm fine - The heavier sounds mixed with those whimsical violins are top notch - Overall very good. Beautiful. Romantic as fuck.

Icarus

- Hooo boy been waiting for this one - 15 seconds in, instant love - It's EXACTLY how I hoped it to be - iii-caaa-RUUUUS permanently in my head for the rest of today - The lyrics are a PERSONAL CALL-OUT - Amazing, majestic, game-changing

Annihilated Love

- Okay, this one is slower and darker - Kinda TOO slow for my taste but let's not judge too quickly - The war-themed lyrics slightly remind me of "The One Who Laughs Last" by Downplay - It's like... it's missing something. I can't tell what it is. - But for someone who went through a rough breakup, this song has to be THERAPEUTIC - The weakest so far, still very good

Alchemy

- Starting off strong - "Synthesized and transformed, pathetic life form" this is AWESOME - Whatever "Annihilated Love" was missing, this one has plentiful - It's like a sequel to "Telekinetic" - Great song. I'm pleased.

Disappear

- That subtle sound in the background is a brilliant detail - It's kinda hard to catch the melody - Heavy "Dark On Me" vibes - VIOLENT FLASHBACK to my 1st real crush who ghosted me for no reason. Mr. Bates, was it really necessary to be so PERSONAL??? - The emotion is so genuine here - The heavier breakthroughs are much appreciated - Awesome song. Brings some memories tho.

This Endless Endeavor

- IS THAT LINKIN PARK??? - I guess this one will take me a few listens to get into it - The parts about the north star are beautiful tho - It emanates some mood I can't describe but I understand well. This song will be great for a lonely walk. - Not the best on the album, still gets my stamp of approval

Symbiotic

- This one is HYPED so I have high expectations - I didn't expect it to be so... upbeat? - It's... basically a love song? - My expectations were met but definitely NOT in a way I expected - Definitely in the upper half of the album. Catchy as hell.

Dreamcatcher

- For some reason I absolutely love this one - Musically it's like slightly above average, but I'm a SUCKER for positive, uplifting songs and this one SLAPS - It's genius that "Dreamcatcher" isn't used as the Native American artifact, but like "one who catches dreams". Impeccable - Headcanon: "Dreamcatcher" is "Icarus" who got his shit together - Easily one of my favorites

Tunnelvision

-Was waiting for the fun song with a catchy beat like "Telepathic" or "Faultline". Found it. - I LEGIT EXPECTED HIM TO SAY GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS - Probably the most fun to listen to - If I understand it right, this song is mocking the right-wing wackos and I'm HERE FOR IT - Dustin just went apeshit and it worked.

Something Wicked

- Another hyped song but I'm kinda nervous about it - Exactly as creepy as I expected - "The crucifix in my hand's a lie" woah calm down edgy boi - There is something so unnerving and depressing about this song I don't know if I'll be able to listen to it just casually. I really wish I could be as optimistic as you are about the future. To me it feels like it's "next year is our year" every year. We suffered through 2020 and 2021 because we were promised that it would get better, and yes it did, but there's still so much to fix. How many more years of improving the team do we have to get through before we reach where we want to be. I feel like charles has made so many improvements in his driving and he's ready to win, but the team and the car is improving at a much slower pace. These days I think he needs to go to another team because with Ferrari he'll have to wait for years before there's any big changes

I want Charles to win but I want him to win with Ferrari.

I think part of it is that I have accepted that things will take a while to fix quite long ago. And that helps me to focus on the good bits.

Ferrari have had various issues for a long time and one of those was the culture.

This is gonna sound like I'm being a full on Binotto apologist on main. But when Mattia took over as TP he talked a lot about wanting to change that culture and restructuring the team and it's processes. And how that was going to take time. But then the 2020 engine happened and complicated everything.

But still Binotto has been talking about how the entire thing is a process and that it takes time to fix what's been going wrong for years to set up the team for a period of sustained success.

And I know that most people don't like Binotto all that much but he wasn't wrong when he said that.

We all got super caught up in the hype at the start of the season. And while the team made a massive step, being fully ready would've been a huge step. But like you said they still made a big step up.

There are still loads of things to fix, and it sucks! BUT, they are at least not making the same mistakes over and over again. (They find new ways to disappoint..)

I guess the thing is that I can see them trying to work out the issues. They don't all always say it to the press but if you pay close attention then you can see it.

Fighting in the midfield like they did the last two seasons is very different to fighting for a championship. And I know it's Ferrari and they have been in the sport forever, but the team has changed a fair bit the last few seasons. And there is a certain element of having to learn how to properly compete for a championship again.

My main source for optimism is the PU (I keep saying this but it is) and the fact that yes they have made mistakes but that you can see them try to work it out.

It was the first time fighting for a wdc for Charles himself. And while he is a really talented driver he had only had one season in an actually competitive car before. And he learnt loads that year and probably even more in 2020 and 2021. But there are also other things to learn when fighting for a championship.

At the end of the day, he'll also come out of this season as a better driver but more importantly as a better leader.

And some things just suck, and are annoying because they take a while but if they are fixed properly it's worth it.

And I guess that's how I view Ferrari atm.

Plus if and when it works out it'll all taste that much sweeter!

Hi, I'm Aria. Any thoughts on why Hori changed story from what he originally planned, he hadn't started out to save Shigaraki per an old interview "Shigaraki is a villain that should be saved but has gotten to a point where he can not turn back" now defiantly seems headed in that direction, without a doubt. Hell he seems like his favorite, the way he draws him and makes us feel his pain. I just hope when he is saved its believable and not to corny. Do manga writers change their stories alot

Well, I don’t know if it’s common. But it’s absolutely possible. They’re human, and no doubt along the way they probably grow attached to characters they originally planned to kill off and decided to keep, or vice versa (I feel this way about Hawks in BNHA—who I think was absolutely on the path to heroic death, but not anymore).

As for that cursed interview that people keep quoting to pad their denial of the redemptions to come, I’d recommend searching @/hamliet’s blog for more talk on that. Because while I haven’t read interviews from other mangakas, I know she has (I believe she talked about one where Sui Ishida backtracked on his original plan for TG—I couldn’t find it though, fucking tumblr). And she’s vouched for the fact that authors have back tracked on their interviews a million times.

This can happen for several reasons: they change their mind, they don’t want to SPOIL something, they want to hype up the readers regardless of whether what they’re saying comes true or not, or they just don’t know at the time and say whatever they can to give an answer.

So to answer your question: it was never in doubt what Shigaraki’s ending was going to be. Ever.

Here’s a post where I explain why I 100% believe without a doubt that Horikoshi’s favorite character, the character he cares about the most, the character he puts the utmost effort into, is Shigaraki. And in THAT post there are other links that further solidify my belief on that.

Given that Touya’s foreshadowing had been present throughout the entire story, his redemption wasn’t a last minute change either. Given that Toga is in the trio, and she’s a teenager, and she’s a victim of quirk society too, her redemption was definitely decided from the beginning as well.

Also, Shigaraki’s and Midoriya’s build up together has been cemented since The Encounter at the mall—

—where Midoriya had already taken notice of Shigaraki’s subtle cry for help, but didn’t process what exactly to do with the information.

He had already started questioning things even back then, but didn’t think much harder on it after All Might reassured him that even he overlooks some people in need of help. Granted, Midoriya didn’t even blink at this interaction after the fact, and didn’t really come to any realization until the war arc, but that’s a writing flaw of his character where the author didn’t remain incredibly consistent with him like he should have, meaning a slower realization that could have taken place after Midoriya thought back to all his and Shigaraki’s interactions and been like

Light bulb! Lol.

But no seriously. Yes the MC should have probably been shown thinking about this more over time, throughout the whole story instead of one moment of realization toward the end, this would have been smarter writing wise—but in-story event-wise and timing-wise, it does make sense the way it went down. It just….left room for so much unnecessary discourse lol. Discourse on whether Shigaraki can or will be saved (he can and will) and discourse on whether Midoriya’a character is even capable of saving him (he is and will). That’s kinda my main complaint with the whole thing—it could have been slowly introduced to the main character’s inner world. But what we have is fine too. I’m happy regardless.

I do think Hori changed some things in the story along the way—but I do not think Shigaraki, or the LOV trio for that matter, were changed or decided along the way. I’d bet real US dollhairs that they were decided well before he started writing the story.

From official DC, only Heath Ledger's Joker. From Gotham TV series, Jerome Valeska, also crushed on Sid for a short period/for 1 ½ months in 2018 April-June (ended early because of DBH).

As for DCEU, it never properly peaked my interest and I've just been bored with all of those hyped up movies I have watched from the series (Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Wonder Woman etc, Shazam was good though but didn't crush on anyone in that one either) so can't say anyone from there.

From Marvel, I don't have anyone I romantically crush on. I feel platonically protective of (young) Kurt Wagner but that's it. I know there's a lot of characters to choose from and that it's weird how I don't love anyone above everyone else, I do like a lot of characters but haven't found anyone who I always wait to appear to the screen 😅

Having a crush on someone in a movie/a series is the reason why I binge and get really hooked, I just want to see more of them and that alone makes me watch another episode, and another, and another. If I don't develop that crush, the process of getting through a series is much slower. And probably the lack of it with Marvel is why I'm so slow with getting through all this Marvel stuff. I do like the movies, more than DCEU movies anyway, but nobody makes my heart beat faster when I see them 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm a weirdo, I know 😅

I'm not sure how you got me so excited about this baseball fic, because a). I don't care about sports and b). I'm not often into AU fics (unless they're alternate takes on essentially the same circumstances). But regardless I am HYPED about this fic—probably because I love your writing and storytelling, and I'm excited to see you retell the arc of their relationship in a longer format. Obviously there's no rush or anything, go at your own pace, but I will be excited and ready when it comes :D

omg thank you so much. this is so sweet! i know i’ve been talking about this fic for what feels like a damn age now, and sometimes i feel bad about that because i know people are prob like, where is the thing already? but i swear i am making progress on it. in total i’m pretty sure it’s going to be well over 30k words, and i really want to have it all drafted before i start posting anything because in the past i have been…. bad about follow-through on multi-chaptered fics. so if i can get it all done up front, that will be better for all of us. and of course it’s also not the only thing i’m writing rn, which makes the whole process even slower. 

anyway, i am really excited about it and can’t wait to share it with all of you. it’s got a good slow burn going, which i think we don’t get enough of in this fandom, since they started dating relatively quickly after they met on the show. (that’s def not a complaint about the show–i love that–but it does mean we don’t get quite as many fics with intense pining and ust and alla that fun stuff.) so that’s been fun to play with, figuring out how to stretch that out and giving them lots of flirty, bantery moments along the way. 

and on that note i should go back to actually writing it. i gotta get another 500 words done and then i told myself i could go out for lunch, so that’s what we’re gonna do. thanks so much for this message. it was a great little boost to get while i was taking a break for a few here, and now i’m gonna go write some more cuteness for you all to read, hopefully, next month.

ok so I mean I also know only whats online but basically they have 5 in-house producers who do a lot of their music production along w the rap line and then the vocal line. bc most members don’t know how to mix/mastering and stuff like that (I think only yoongi knows how??) they all of that aspect. bts’ intl (read: white) producers get a lot more hype when most of their songs r produced by the in-house producers so like lmao. also most of them have been w bts for a significant amount of time so its a real testament to how diverse they r musically 

the bighit producers r: pdogg, slow rabbit, supreme boi, adora and hiss noise (which a lot of ppl leave out for some reason but like he’s definitely one of the main bighit producers) and obviously hitman bang (but from what I can see he does less producing lately). they also did work for txt and homme

so just fun facts that ik off the top of my head? pdogg and supreme boi (and obviously bang pd) have been there since long before debut w sb being a former trainee. pdogg is their main(?) producer as he’s involved in all albums with multiple song credits. and he won mama producer of the year in 2017. id say he’s their best ‘pop’ producer. slow rabbit is responsible for most of their slower songs (including this night!) and he’s my fav bighit producer! he also cried when bts won their first daesang in 2016 T^T. he joined a little before debut. supreme boi does a lot of their ‘hiphop’ sounds and has been w them since long before debut. adora!! is the only female producer at bighit and she’s in a lot of backing tracks (e.g. seesaw) and helped produced songs like spring day and not today (the variety!) she’s a singer and also like so fucking pretty skjdfh she joined around wings. hiss noise is bts’ newest ‘main’ producer and joined around the beginning of lys. idk that much on him but similar to adora I think he has quite a wide range.

bang pd also produces a lot of their music and he’s won multiple producer awards from 2009 onwards but like lol

whilst bighit obviously has other producers who contribute to bts’ albums as far as ik they’re the actual producers of bighit rather than ppl from outside the company. if u look a lot of them have writing credits in rap line’s albums which they make in their own time so the producers aren’t getting paid for that either. they do seem close w bts bc they’ve been working together for a really long time. but bts do contribute a LOT to their own music production! I think pdogg has given an interview where he talks abt how collaborative their music making process is but I feel like credit where credits due we tend to overlook how talented and amazing bighit’s producers r bc we want to hype bts but like!! they’re rlly amazing as well!! and theyre all at the absolute peak of their industry!! its only thanks to their hard work as well that we have so many amazing songs and I wish ppl would realise that a lot of them contribute so much more than we realise!
