#it's 2025 give Midoriya Izuku a better hero name

On another rant can we normalize not calling Izuku Deku!? Especially in TodoIzu fics! Hell up until the vigilante arc Shoto had NEVER called Izuku Deku! Everyone else did but Shoto actually respected Izuku too much to call him Deku and I adore him for that. As I've already mentioned I HATE that Izuku chose Deku as his hero name. It's an insult and while yeah reclaiming a name can be a good thing his mental state during the vigilante arc proved that this was not the case. I'm super salty about the fact that so many fics refer to him as Deku it's 2025 people let's pick something else. Deku needs to stay in the past. Like Bakugo because seriously both Bakugo and the name should've died when Bakugo's heart exploded in the final arc. Which is another thing I'm salty af about but I will not get into that right now.
