Yknow what? I appreciate Derek for making Bitsy dumb as rocks, EXCEPT whenever it comes to ingredients and their properties (like the diazepam—she knew they wanted to knock people out, and she knew what to get to accomplish that goal), which makes sense being an herbalist and all

Also, i especially appreciate Derek for making Bitsy a fucking monk. Because you see her herbalist tag and initially think “oh, maybe a cleric or a Druid”, and then see that she’s actually a fucking monk, and is absolutely fucking terrifying in combat, and i LOVE IT. Especially since the rest of the party is like “oh, well we might as well take her with us, since she might die out there in the woods”, meanwhile Bitsy probably would’ve thrown whatever predator or whatever (are there predators in the Dimwood? Sure, the critters eat bug meat, but what about larger animals that aren’t technically sentient? Unless they’re all sentient? Anyway) into the next forest over, Mario 64 style

Saw this comment under OUAW ep 42 and could not stop think Bavlorna's actions towards Torbek were genuine. So its Briggsbek time.

Instead of the EoM crew being sent to Druskenwald they get sent to Prismere, Philip wanting them to track down Zabilna for him.

How the adventure starts out is the same:

The group meets on the Ghostlight Express, Yorgrim joining them after Philip picks them up, but instead of taking them to the Crooked House he takes them to his manor so he can explain what he wants from them and offers them their rewards.

Events happen the same as they did with the Krew when they enter the fey wild, except meeting the snakes don't happen as they have no reason to go to the Leaning Tower and Twig doesn't ask to join them, they fight Agdon and meet with the king in the Soggy Court and he decides to throw a gala. All of them are trying to play it cool and blend in as they try and get an idea of how to approach this lands hag when Briggsy spots Torbek sitting in the balcony Bavlorna was watching the festivities from. Lethica and Marius had to escort him out of the main hall to keep him from causing a scene, trying their best to calm him down as he's freaking out over all the possibilities as to why his boyfriend could be associating with the hags. While the carnival krew might not have run across Torbek at the Witchlight Carnival he was still taken and experimented on, so his main theories is that the hag was holding him hostage so she could milk him of the witchlight in his blood.

By the time he calms down enough that Marius and Lethica think he won't do anything drastic Torbek and Bavlorna are gone and the other witch hunters have quite a bit of questions for the undead pirate. Its not until they get back to their room does Briggsy explain what's going on and as they try and formulate a plan of attack to save Torbek they receive an invitation to Bavlorna's hut it's addressed to Briggsy and only Briggsy.

He has prepared himself for the worst, trying to plan for any outcome, but when he entered the hut he could never had prepared himself for what he saw. Instead of walking into Bavlorna's bathing chamber he was taken to one of the upper levels and lead to the tea room by a lornling. When they got to the door he could hear Torbek talking on the other side. If his heart was still beating he was sure it would be close to beating out of his chest. Once the door opened he was greeted by Bavlorna already sitting at the table and Torbek standing next to her, seeming to have been pacing.

"You came!" Torbek rushed over to his boyfriend

"Course I did" Briggsy said, eyeing the hag out of the corner of his eye, without being obvious about it, as he hugs his boyfriend "but what're you doing here?"

"Torbek lives here with Bavlorna" he started pulling Briggsy over to the hag "come on"

"Yes, come closer I've been so excited to meet my Torbeks special little friend" Bavlorna pinches the bug bears cheek "he is always so happy when he talks about you! Come, have a seat and we'll have some tea and cookies"

Briggsy made sure he was sitting between his boyfriend and the hag and he hated to admit it but the tea and cookies were really good. He answers the questions Bavlorna asks him, though they were guarded and he made up a pretty convincing lie about why he was in Prismere. It was convincing enough that the conversation ended up with Bavlorna asking him if he and his friends would steal her portrait from her sister, Torbek offers to join the adventure, and Briggsy excepts without hesitation, glad that he had the opportunity to get him away from the hag.

This gives them the addition of Bavlorna's protection and the secrets she has on both her sisters, wether its because she does genuinely care for Torbek or just wants him around for the Witchlight or The Other is up for debate, but it makes things easier, especially when it came to Skabatha.
