Lots of talk about fics that call themselves slowburn when they’re only like 7k but what about the fics that are 100k and 25 chapters and call themselves slowburn but the characters get together by like the 3rd chapter?
#much more offensive if you ask me#cuz the fic is masquerading as a slowburn#but it very much isn’t#dating by chapter 3/20 does not a slowburn make#even if the fic is like 200k words total#you don’t have to call every long fic with romance a slow burn#it’s ok to have a fast-moderate speed developing romance#it’s all about what’s best for your story#fandom be like
