OH i remembered what i gonna say in the tags but i’ve already kinda commented on it during my liveblog but it bares repeating. i find it interesting the way that bison seems to have this switch up when it comes to interacting with kant and when it comes to interacting with fadel. like with kant he clearly has this wall where he’s questioning his motives and keeping him at a distance, but with fadel he’s actively trying to convince him to give kant a chance.
and it’s interesting cause in either case, you could make the argument those are his true feelings. that he really doesn’t trust kant at all and he’s only sucking up to fadel because he’s having fun with the situation and wants to do so without fadel breathing down his neck - or you could argue that he really is falling for kant and trusting him and the wall is all for show so kant will prove himself.
but honestly i think it’s more somewhere in the middle. i don’t think bison is naive enough to think kant’s motives are totally pure and he KNOWS he’s up to something, but he also is genuinely falling for kant and he wants the chance to figure it all out on his own terms without fadel breathing down his neck about it - and he certainly doesn’t need fadel telling him things he already knows
