ex-pogue kook!reader is almost always wearing a big t-shirt and long , jean shorts. most of the shirts she wore were ones that her and jj had traded over the years or she simply took when she needed one. if she needed to look more presentable , she’d switch into a more fitting shirt.

when she does dress up it’s usually for beach days. she’d wear whatever swimsuit she could find and a crocheted coverup and that was it. at midsummers , though , she went full kook. her dad was working on finishing up a contract with ward , so to make the package look nicer he asked you politely to go with rafe. your dress matched his and everything.

she’s either wearing her beat up , orange converse that she’s had for years or nothing. there’s no in between. she’s a firm believer that if you live on an island your toes should be in the sand.

surprisingly , she doesn’t have any piercings or tattoos. but when it comes to jewelry she has one necklace jj gave her on her sixteenth birthday , and she wears it every day. it was a shark tooth — matching his own. and eventually , she starts wearing a ring on the necklace too.

as for her hair , it’s usually thrown up in some messy updo to simply keep it out of her face.
