Fang you are literally ruining my life. Being a friendly "older sister" figure in ness's life who inadvertently gets put into the position of "mother" for the two of them...

You're so sweet to Ness, so comfortably teasing and supportive... Something about Ness brings out the older sister in u and so u dote on him and take care of him and kaiser sees it all. Sees how it makes Ness improve, sees how it centers Ness in a way that kaiser can't, sees how it changes him in some imperceptible way that kaiser doesn't understand (that he tells himself he doesn't want to understand).

And because there is no Ness without kaiser, you take him on as well. You have bratty younger siblings too so u treat him as u would them. And it frustrates him more than a little. You don't take the bait. You just give him that knowing look like youve done all of this before, heard all of this before. And you tell him it's okay if he's feeling snappy. Does he want a drink? A snack? A nap?

You're more than happy to take care of him too if he'll let you.

And god help him, he wants to.

And god help him, he does.

It's minor at first. A warm smile and praise so buttery warm that he kind of wants to rip his own skin off, kind of wants to crawl into yours. A soft, almost absentminded pat on the head where he has to fight the urge to bite your hand (and he sees in your eyes that you know this and he sees in your eyes that the forgiveness is already there). A scarf, clumsy and handmade, that he rubs his face into until the smell of you fades.

And, as everything does, his feelings for you start twisting. His perception of you starts to shift just as his behavior does. He's not soft, not docile, but it's enough for you to notice. Enough for you to smile and praise and embrace him with your arms wide open.

He asks Ness point blank what he thinks of you. Blushing and nervous, Ness says that you're a friend. A really good friend. Kind of like a big sister, maybe?

And kaiser corrects him.

No, not like a big sister. More like a mom.

Kaiser hears the way ness' breath catches. Of course he does. There's excitement there. Embarrassment and shame too. That's fine, Kaiser can work with that.

Because Ness is sweet and docile. Ness and his big baby eyes and soft voice brings out the most nurturing warmth from you.

Which is why kaiser knows that this time, when he sends Ness to you with his quietly spoken platitudes and hopeful glances, you'll finally take the bait.

Black Women Find Healing (But Sometimes Racism, Too) in the Outdoors

It would be the last hike of the season, Jessica Newton had excitedly posted on her social media platforms. With mild weather forecast and Colorado’s breathtaking fall foliage as a backdrop, she was convinced an excursion at Beaver Ranch Park would be the quintessential way to close out months of warm-weather hikes with her “sister friends.”

Still, when that Sunday morning in 2018 arrived, she was shocked when her usual crew of about 15 had mushroomed into about 70 Black women. There’s a first time for everything, she thought as they broke into smaller groups and headed toward the nature trail. What a sight they were, she recalled, as the women — in sneakers and hiking boots, a virtual sea of colorful headwraps, flowy braids and dreadlocks, poufy twists and long, flowy locks — trekked peacefully across the craggy terrain in the crisp mountain air.

It. Was. Perfect. Exactly what Newton had envisioned when in 2017 she founded Black Girls Hike to connect with other Black women who share her affinity for outdoor activities. She also wanted to recruit others who had yet to experience the serenity of nature, a pastime she fell for as a child attending an affluent, predominately white private school.

But their peaceful exploration of nature and casual chatter — about everything from food and family to hair care and child care — was abruptly interrupted, she said, by the ugly face of racism.

“We had the sheriff called on us, park rangers called on us,” recalled Newton, now 37, who owns a construction industry project development firm in Denver.

“This lady who was horseback riding was upset that we were hiking on her trail. She said that we’d spooked her horse,” she said of a woman in a group of white horseback riders they encountered. “It just didn’t make any sense. I felt like, it’s a horse and you have an entire mountain that you can trot through, run through, gallop through or whatever. She was just upset that we were in her space.”

Eventually, two Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies, with guns on their hips, approached, asking, “What’s going on here?” They had been contacted by rangers who’d received complaints about a large group of Black women being followed by camera drones in the park; the drones belonged to a national television news crew shooting a feature on the group. (The segment aired weeks later, but footage of the confrontation wasn’t included.)

“‘Move that mob!’” attendee Portia Prescott recalled one of the horseback riders barking.

“Why is it that a group of Black women hiking on a trail on a Sunday afternoon in Colorado is considered a ‘mob?’” Prescott asked.

A man soon arrived who identified himself as the husband of one of the white women on horseback and the manager of the park, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office incident report, and began arguing with the television producers in what one deputy described in the report as a “hostile” manner.

The leader of the horseback tour told the deputies that noise from the large group and the drones startled the horses and that when she complained to the news crew, they told her to deal with it herself, the report said. The news crew told deputies that the group members felt insulted by the horseback riders use of the term “mob.” The woman leading the horseback riders, identified in the incident report as Marie Elliott, said that she did not remember calling the group a mob, but she told the officers she “would have said the same thing if the group had been a large group of Girl Scouts.”

In the end, Newton and her fellow hikers were warned for failing to secure a permit for the group. Newton said she regrets putting members in a distressing — and potentially life-threatening — situation by unknowingly breaking a park rule. However, she suspects that a similarly sized hiking group of white women would not have been confronted so aggressively.

“You should be excited that we are bringing more people to use your parks,” added Newton. “Instead, we got slammed with [threats of] violations and ‘Who are you?’ and ‘Please, get your people and get out of here.’ It’s just crazy.”

Mike Taplin, spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed that no citations were issued. The deputies “positively engaged with everyone, with the goal of preserving the peace,” he said.

Newton said the “frustrating” incident has reminded her why her group, which she has revamped and renamed Vibe Tribe Adventures, is so needed in the white-dominated outdoor enthusiasts’ arena.

With the tagline “Find your tribe,” the group aims to create a sisterhood for Black women “on the trails, on waterways and in our local communities across the globe.” Last summer, she secured nonprofit status and expanded Vibe Tribe’s focus, adding snowshoeing, fly-fishing, zip lining and kayaking to its roster. Today, the Denver-based group has 11 chapters across the U.S. (even Guam) and Canada, with about 2,100 members.

Research suggests her work is needed. The most recent National Park Service survey found that 6% of visitors are Black, compared with 77% white. Newton said that must change — especially given the opportunities parks provide and the health challenges that disproportionately plague Black women. Research shows they experience higher rates of chronic preventable health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. A 2020 study found that racial discrimination also may increase stress, lead to health problems and reduce cognitive functioning in Black women. Newton said it underscores the need for stress-relieving activities.

“It’s been studied at several colleges that if you are outdoors for at least five minutes, it literally brings your stress level down significantly,” said Newton. “Being around nature, it’s like grounding yourself. That is vital.”

Newton said participation in the group generally tapers off in winter. She is hopeful, though, that cabin fever from the pandemic will inspire more Black women to try winter activities.

Atlanta member Stormy Bradley, 49, said the group has added value to her life. “I am a happier and healthier person because I get to do what I love,” said the sixth grade teacher. “The most surprising thing is the sisterhood we experience on and off the trails.”

Patricia Cameron, a Black woman living in Colorado Springs, drew headlines this summer when she hiked 486 miles — from Denver to Durango — and blogged about her experience to draw attention to diversity in the outdoors. She founded the Colorado nonprofit Blackpackers in 2019.

“One thing I caught people saying a lot of is ‘Well, nature is free’ and ‘Nature isn’t racist’ — and there’s two things wrong with that,” said Cameron, a 37-year-old single mother of a preteen.

“Nature and outside can be free, yes, but what about transportation? How do you get to certain outdoor environments? Do you have the gear to enjoy the outdoors, especially in Colorado, where we’re very gear-conscious and very label-conscious?” she asked. “Nature isn’t going to call me the N-word, but the people outside might.”

Cameron applauds Newton’s efforts and those of other groups nationwide, like Nature Gurlz, Outdoor Afro, Diversify Outdoors, Black Outdoors, Soul Trak Outdoors, Melanin Base Camp and Black Girls Run, that have a similar mission. Cameron said it also was encouraging that the Outdoor Industry Association, a trade group, pledged in the wake of the racial unrest sparked by George Floyd’s death to help address a “long history of systemic racism and injustice” in the outdoors.

Efforts to draw more Black people, especially women, outdoors, Cameron said, must include addressing barriers, like cost. For example, Blackpackers provides a “gear locker” to help members use pricey outdoor gear free or at discounted rates. She has also partnered with businesses and organizations that subsidize and sponsor outdoor excursions. During the pandemic, Vibe Tribe has waived all membership fees through this month.

Cameron said she dreams of a day when Black people are free from the pressures of carrying the nation’s racial baggage when participating in outdoor activities.

Vibe Tribe member and longtime outdoor enthusiast Jan Garduno, 52, of Aurora, Colorado, agreed that fear and safety are pressing concerns. For example, leading up to the presidential election she changed out of her “Let My People Vote” T-shirt before heading out on a solo walk for fear of how other hikers might react.

Groups like Vibe Tribe, she said, provide camaraderie and an increased sense of safety. And another plus? The health benefits can also be transformative.

“I’ve been able to lose about 40 pounds and I’ve kept it off,” explained Garduno.

UPDATE 25: Moments of Respite

Last time there was an interlude featuring Gregor the Snail, and Faultline’s crew was fleshed out a bit more. Rather good interlude, in my opinion. Now let’s go into the sixth arc, ‘Tangle’.

I’m not sure why I foolishly expected the assault where Lung was taken out to be the one where the villain team’s plans would end. Of course that wasn’t going to be enough. That’s why the very first thing to see here in the arc is Skitter fighting what seems to be a civilian with a knife and a katana. This guy is already doing mistakes, you can’t use a knife and a katana at once. Something about the weights of the weapons will make it very difficult, and unless this man is a trained gang member and not a civilian, then he’s at disadvantage already. That’s why Skitter has no trouble defeating him.

The ABB has been using small apartment buildings as barracks for their members – mostly civilians, I’d say. That’s the main target today, and looks like the same teams from before are still here, or at least Kaiser is here. He’s still taking the helm of the operation, apparently.

We were outnumbered twenty to one, but I doubted any of us were really breaking a sweat. There was nobody with powers fighting in the ABB’s defense, since only Bakuda was uninjured and we had an idea of where she was holed up.  That meant that all we had to worry about were their rank and file gang members, and we’d already taken out the guys with guns.

Sounds to me like the ABB are as good as defeated. Bakuda is dangerous and someone not to underestimate, but the fact she’s hiding – and they know where she may be – does hint she doesn’t have the upper hand and won’t have it for quite a while. There’s a chance she’s preparing something big, though, better be careful.

Spitfire, Gregor the Snail and Grue are mentioned. I was wrong about this being the same team than before, alright. Faultline’s mercenaries are a good choice, I definitely don’t mind seeing more of them around. I’m also rather curious how Gregor can fight, I know he’s pretty resistant to weapons and the such, but this could be a chance to find out about his attack skills!

Skitter fights another guy. Nobody’s surrendering, they all have to be convinced to stop through some physical punishment. It’s a tough situation for all of them, hard to not try your best when Bakuda installed a bomb in your head. Those who face Skitter are lucky, better her than anyone else, even if this one was knocked out with Grue because he proved to not be scared of the bugs and all.

Oh, Tattetale is here too! And she’s giving information such as how many people remain inside, tht kind of intel. All in all, nobody here’s having any trouble at all! Spitfire and Gregor are working in tandem, too. Spitfire burned the building where the ABB members are at, Gregor makes sure it doesn’t extend to other buildings.

He’d informed us before the fight started – he could concoct a variety of chemicals in his prodigious stomach and project them in a stream from his skin.  Adhesives, lubricants and strong acids, among other things.  The one he would be using now would be something fire retardant, as we’d planned.

Oh, ew. That’s disgusting yet impressive at the same time. Where do you get these ideas, Mr. Wildbow? This is definitely not a power I’d have ever imagined! So that’s what Gregor can do...yeah, I can see the many practical uses he can have, that’s for sure. Nice to see this power is up to my expectations!

“So this thing with the ABB is almost over,” he said, “And I was talking to Fog, one of Kaiser’s people.  Sounds like he’s not going to press the issue over Bitch and the dogfighting thing, like you suspected.”

That’s one heck of a dodged bullet, isn’t it? I doubt Wolfwhatever was happy at all that this isn’t going to be pursued at all, but then again, Skitter defeated Lung almost by herself and saved Kaiser’s life by virtue of knocking Lung out. Kaiser is not the kind of guy to be intimidated, that much I’m 100% sure about, but if I were him I’d be careful about picking a fight with Skitter.

While Grue and Skitter are tying the gang members, they have a casual conversation about their plans for tomorrow. Hah! As if there was more proof needed this is an easy fight for them.

Technically, I could or should be going back to school, but I still had the tentative excuse of the concussion, so I could get away with missing another few days. After the way the meeting with the school had gone, I was glad for the excuse.

Chances are Taylor would be targeted by the bullies again, right? Sure, there was a meeting and all, and if she’s lucky it may make the bullies think twice before doing something, but it also could make the bullying campaign turn more covert, do stuff that can’t be traced to them.

It sure says a lot of Mr. Wildbow’s talent that the whole deal with the bullies is almost on the same level than the cape stuff. It’s two completely different things, but to me both have the same feelings of ‘what can Taylor do, I dunno’. I thought the bully thing would start feeling superfluous, but no, it still feels like a worthwhile thing to read! It’s awful to read about, but it’s worthwhile!

Grue asks Skitter to help him with some furniture he has to assemble, and of course, she accepts. As he left, Tattletale joined me, taking a few wrist-ties from me, and helping me with others.  She was grinning. Oh, really now? Are you saying you see a relationship blossoming between those two? You know, I can actually see that happening! It’s too early to say, but they do get along, and it’s not farfetched to think Grue may have romantic interest on Skitter! Wouldn’t be a bad thing to see, I’d support that!

The building collapses – with nobody inside, most likely – so the job is done! Assault complete, the ABB may be more or less defeated by the end of the day. I still await what Bakuda will do, though. I won’t be convinced this is over until I see by myself she’s giving up. Grue’s pretty sure the ABB is done for. Oh, definitely not.

Lisa commented, “It’s like I was telling you, Taylor, someone breaks those unspoken rules, the community protects the status quo. Now that Lisa points that, she’s right. If someone upsets the balance then yeah, everyone bands together to make sure the continuous, hm, ‘game’ the capes take part of keeps going. It’s what works, a gang going crazy and blowing up a quarter of the city doesn’t work. And now, it’s done! Status quo should return in matter of days. I doubt the ABB was as destroyed as they think it is, but chances are it won’t try to get as dangerous as they got.

During the way back Lisa prepares to deliver exposition about the powers of some of the new capes. Oh boy, I better start taking notes. Trickster can teleport anything he sees, as long as they have roughly the same mass. He had ABB members hitting their own guys, he was disarming them like it was a piece of cake He must be really experienced, then, because the drawback about the same mass part is rather big. The shapeshifter, Genesis, isn’t a shapeshifter, she actually makes projections from a distance. I can see the uses of that, yeah. And Sundancer, well, we know what she does. Just like Brian says, they all are “Heavy hitters,” I especially like Genesis’ power.

“We can be glad they’re on our side,” I said. “For now,” Brian pointed out, “We still don’t know why they’re here and why they’re helping.” Why do I have the feeling Taylor may have jinxed it a little? I’m not saying the Travelers will turn against them right now, but thanks to this I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future they have to fight the Travelers.

“Mind if I stay over again, tonight?” I asked. Again?! Taylor, you haven’t been back home since that day? Well, that bruise she has is really noticeable and that’s no surprise at all, but staying away from home for several days in a row is bound to raise suspicions, isn’t it? Dad Hebert will start asking questions. Uh...I’m not entirely sure, but maybe Taylor should consider investing in some make-up, or concealer, or something to hide the bruise. It’s going to be a few days more before the bruise is gone!

And just like I expected, Dad Hebert is getting worried. I saw that coming several miles away.  “I’d like you to come home, Taylor.  It worries me that I haven’t seen you since you left the meeting at the school.” I have to wonder what exactly Taylor’s been telling him. It’s not like he can force her to talk to him, but Taylor really doesn’t strike me as the type to not begrudgingly tell a lie to keep Dad Hebert calm. This is not going that well. He hesitated.  “Okay, just tell me you’re going to school.” Hah! Take a guess. I don’t think Dad Hebert believes for a second you’re going to school, Taylor! He won’t argue with you about that, but I really doubt he thinks you told the truth.

The chapter ends, looking like Taylor will go home to see Dad Hebert. I’m not particularly worried about how this meeting will go, it should go well. Lisa still believes Taylor and Brian can be an item, even though Taylor denies it. I agree with Lisa on this one, it can happen. Lisa tells a bit of how her power kind of destroyed her interested in romantic relationships.  “Give me a few years, maybe I’ll lower my standards enough to be able to overlook what my power’s telling me about the guys’ more disgusting and degrading character quirks and habits.” So Lisa is bound to stay single, because I can’t see her willing to lower her standards just to get into a relationship. She’s going to stay single and she won’t mind it.

There are several paragraphs of Lisa giving Taylor some clothes to get Brian’s attention, because she thinks he doesn’t even know what he feels for Taylor. Yeah, maybe not. Besides I’m kind of sure that Taylor could go dressed like she just woke up from under the bench of a park and he’d still be okay with it. He doesn’t strike me as the type to care about how other people look.

A relationship with Brian was, obviously, a terrible idea.  I was only expecting to be with the Undersiders for another two weeks to a month.  Any longer than that, and I’d probably assume I wasn’t going to get the dirt on their boss, at which point I’d take what I had to the Protectorate.

Still deluding yourself about that, Taylor? You can’t convince me that’s something that will happen, Mr. Wildbow. Better save words and stop mentioning that. Yep. Totally the reason I was avoiding thinking about it.  Nothing to do with the fact that I was feeling increasingly lousy and ambivalent over the idea of turning friends in to the authorities. Now that’s better. Face it, Taylor, you’re not turning anyone to the authorities. You’re even starting to get along with Rachel, even if it is in a tense way!

Taylor delivers more of those descriptions Mr. Wildbow knows to write so well, and finds Brian sleeping beside one of the trees. This guy has guts, sleeping in public in a place where the E88 is around. Taylor guesses it's because nobody would really want to mess with him. Golly.

Brian is really against buying a car, for several reasons. A license plate may get traced to him, he wouldn’t use a car for much anyways, and if it gets stolen then Brian may as well have burned the money away.  I smiled at the word ‘hideout’.  “I get it.  Car bad.” I kicked myself.  Why did I keep lapsing into caveman-speak around him? Guess why, Taylor. She even starts staring at Brian’s strong body, because looks like Mr. Wildbow is serious about hinting there’s a chance of a relationship forming here. Nice! This can work. I don’t know what I can expect in terms of romance, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be a minor plotline in this whole thing. I don’t think Mr. Wildbow is the type that’d let the romance overtake everything. Then again, I didn’t think Andrew Hussie would do it either in Homestuck, yet romantic shenanigans were the focus for quite a chunk of that webcomic. I’m just hoping Mr. Wildbow won’t make the same mistake.

I think this is a good point to stop. It’s the end of the chapter, they’re entering Brian’s building, and overall it’s a calm and nice moment. I’ll continue with the next chapter next time.

The Fruit Fix

About a year and some months back I reached a low point in my life. I left my job of 6 years after feeling stagnated and under appreciated. My music career was totally stifled and I felt like nobody cared about my art. I abandoned my healthy plant based diet, ate whatever the fuck I wanted and entered a full on alcoholic depression. I’m talking about breakfast beers on an empty stomach, being the first guy at happy hour, then waiting for the day to start over so I could do it again. It was rough.

One day, after making shitty, non-focused music for 6 hours, I went out for beers and dinner. My sandwich was delicious but I started getting violent hiccups and gnarly heartburn. It was very strange. I went to my girlfriends house and tried to sleep it off but my stomach wouldn’t let me sleep. No healthcare, so I called my cousin who works at Kaiser and she got me an out of pocket appointment. $200 for an asshole in a Hawaiian shirt to pat me on my back a couple times and tell me to stop drinking for awhile. No drunk wants to hear this, but it was good advice. I listened. For a bit.

I started to feel better, but my yearly pilgrimage to Tijuana for the fabled Tequila Expo was right around the corner. (I highly recommend you check it out before you die. If you’re into that stuff.)

“Should I go and drink myself stupid if I just got over this mystery ailment?. YES I FUCKING SHOULD. I deserve it”.

I went hard for 4 nights and was awoken on the last day of the trip by an excruciating pulsation in my abdomen. It was terrible. My cousin’s husband is a doctor, came to the Tequila Expo, was very upset that I didn’t tell him about it before we partied. He said I probably had pancreatitis and I needed to get some blood work. I had also noticed my stool was super oily and I knew something was very wrong. After a couple weeks of stomach pain, back pain when I ate, and scraping together bar tips, I got a test done on my pancreatic enzymes. The results were humbling.

One of the 4 enzymes our pancreas creates and shoots into our stomach while eating is called Lipase, and it helps to break down and digest fat. Any and all, good or bad, fat is IMPORTANT. It turns out my lipase level was almost non-existent. I had essentially burned a portion of my pancreas with a monsoon of alcohol and shitty fatty foods (aka Acidosis), and because of it, I couldn’t digest my food properly. I found out through a ton of research that I likely had chronic pancreatitis and EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). Western medicine deems it irreversible. All signs pointed to FUCKED.

Google had me convinced my life as I knew it was over. I was losing weight at an alarming rate because my body was essentially eating all of the fat off of itself. I was in chronic pain every day and was having a very hard time not drinking to numb it. I was legitimately scared for my life for the first time. I got so skinny in just 4 months that my mom started crying when she saw me.I didn’t want to do shit, my relationship with my girlfriend started to suffer, I was resentful, and deep down I knew it wasn’t anybody’s fault but my own.

I signed up for Medi-Cal (free health care for broke people) and found a doctor here in Oakland. She was utterly clueless and was of no help. Drowning in frustration, I decided that I could either give up and wait to die, or strap on a set of balls and do what I could to clean out my body and AT LEAST ease some of the pain.

This is when I discovered a whole different world. The natural healing of the human body. The shit NOBODY in PHARMA or your fucking moron doctor, who gets a bonus every time he gives out a flu shot, wants you to know.

The world of FRUIT, JUICE, HERBS, and FASTING.

FAST FORWARD: I have since regenerated and restored my pancreas. Not 100% but it is making lipase again and my digestion is WAY BETTER. I still have a long way to go but I’m so hopeful and grateful to not be in a state of perpetual sadness anymore.

The rest of this piece will simply be a recap of how I got well, and my hope is that you can take some information and better your health. You don’t have to go as hardcore as I did, but I promise these changes will impact your life greatly, bring back your vitality, and ensure your life is long and healthy.

1: FRUIT, DIET, WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT ALL MEAN? WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?

First off, all of the information I’m going to give you is already out there. Its hidden, and protected by the medical world, but you can find it. There are so many resources and wonderful people trying to help others. (Look up Dr. Robert Morse, Dr. Sebi’s Food List, Arnold Ehret, The Grape Cure by Johanna Brendt etc…..Youtube is your friend!) You just have to seek them out and stop listening to the talking heads on TV. (You can listen to the band Talking Heads, they’re excellent.) I’m not gonna worry about citing sources because frankly, I want you to research this shit yourself and activate the part of your brain dedicated to seeking out HELPFUL information. Not a fucking celebrity’s net worth. Or the score of some sporting event. I also don’t care if you believe me. I DID THIS SHIT. IT WORKED. IT WAS HARD, BUT IT FUCKING WORKED.

Why fruit? Fruit is delicious and abundant. Whoever you believe designed this world, designed fruit to be our best friend. It grows on trees. You can just grab it. They’re bright and come in all kinds of cool and crazy colors. This why humans have color vision. Our ancestors had to evolve and identify which ones were ripe and consumable.You can’t miss them. It is the best source of direct energy, an extraordinary cleanser of your body and extremely important to your lymphatic system AKA your waste management. Your lymph system is astonishingly long and amazingly efficient, but it’s not invincible. If your lymphatic system gets backed up and isn’t flowing correctly, you are fucked. If the garbage can’t be taken out, it starts stacking up. If it stacks up high enough, it becomes apart of you. This is where “disease” manifests. Your diet. The shit you put inside you. If you have a healthy fruit intake, your lymphatic system can flow like a powerful river and you won’t have any problems. Fruit is not a snack. It’s a god damned life force. Veggies, nuts, and seeds are also important parts of our diet but the focus of this essay is to help people with ailments who need to detox quickly and efficiently. Veggies are great but they can be hard on your digestive system so its best to avoid them while healing/detoxing.

What about sugar? Isn’t there too much in fruit? Fuck no. That’s misinformation for the masses. Fruit sugar is the best thing you could possibly ingest and is the most digestible thing known to humans. Your body doesn’t even have to convert it. Chemically speaking, it is made up of exactly what humans are made of. Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen. It IS us. Now, if you eat 47 plums YOU WILL SHIT YOUR PANTS. There is such a thing as too much fruit AT ONE TIME. You will know. Figure it out. Stop eating until your full. Eat until you feel energized.

PS: There’s also a system for combining the foods you eat properly, based on how long it takes for certain things to digest. For example melons digest extremely fast so its best to eat it alone, whereas nuts and seeds can take 4–5 hours to digest. Look it up, it can help you avoid getting gassy and bloated.

2: COOKED FOOD

We are the only species who cooks their food. Yes, cooked food is great and tasty and all things wonderful BUT when you cook food, you destroy digestive enzymes, nutrients, and minerals. This can back up your colon, which is responsible for all of your nutrient absorption. So, if you don’t balance your diet with RAW foods, which are easily digestible, you can create problems. If you feel sluggish, overweight, tired, bloated, depressed, or helpless, RESET the balance of cooked food and raw food in your life. Eat only fruits and veggies for a couple days. See how you feel.

THINGS THAT STICK TO YOUR INSIDES: BREAD, GLUTEN, CHEESE, MEAT.

You’re not fat, you just eat a lot of things that stick around in your gut and colon.

3: JUICE

If you have $400 to invest your health, BUY A FUCKING JUICER. Eating the fruit is great, but juicing is where it’s at. The idea of juicing is to give your digestive system a break so your body can tend to everything it needs to fix inside itself.The juice requires minimal effort from your body to process, but provides all the nutrients and hydration you need to sustain a good energy level. The less your body has to digest, the less it has to work. The less it has to work, the longer you’ll live. Simple as that. We eat too much in this country and that’s why many people are overweight, sick, and unable to help themselves.

I know it sounds expensive but please hear me out. How many hundreds of dollars do you spend on alcohol, material items, and decadent but ultimately hurtful food? Probably more than $400. If not, good for you, but don’t be dishonest with yourself. This is about being accountable for your health. Invest in your betterment. Now. Not after you get sick. Trust me.

Fresh juice is the best possible breakfast you can make yourself. Replace your coffee routine with a juice routine. Coffee and caffeine are artificial energy sources that will hurt you in the long run. They are horrible for digestion. That’s why you shit so violently when you drink it. Your body hates it. It’ll fuck up your kidneys, adrenal glands, and can permanently damage your ability to naturally produce serotonin. (Serotonin is like the ONLY free drug. Don’t fuck that up.) Juice will wake your ass up for real.

What kind of juicer you ask? This is important. You want a SLOW, MASTICATING juicer. This means it uses pure natural pressure to physically squeeze the juice out and separate the fiber. Most juicers sold in stores (Breville, I’m looking at you) or in juice bars are BLADED and use heat to SHRED the fruit. This is no good. It damages the molecular structure YADDA YADDA IT SUCKS and it damages the nutrients! This defeats the whole damn purpose.These cheap ass juicers are wack. You get what you pay for. SLOW MASTICATING is what you want. Mine is made by Hurom and it is an absolute horse. I’ve used it three to four times a day for a year now. Look online, shop around, and pick the one that works for you.

BEST FRUIT TO JUICE

Anything with high water content and seeds (See Dr. Sebi info about seeded fruits)

Grapes (Seeded). I did a 20 day grape juice only fast and holy fuck did it clean my colon out.

Melons (Watermelon especially! Cantaloupe too.)

Key Limes (seeded) with ginger (!)

Apples

Anything else with high juice content!

If you can’t get a juicer then go for smoothies, but avoid almond milk or any other fillers. Yes these things are delicious but they obstruct the work of the fruit.

4: HERBS

There are plants and roots on this planet that have amazing healing properties because of their nutrient and mineral content. I advise you to look into this for yourself but here is a list of herbs I have used to speed up my recovery, cleanse my blood, and help my body repair itself. I’ll also list where I typically purchase them.

5: WATER

There’s a lot of hype about water and staying hydrated. Now, drinking water is great. Water comprises 60% of our bodies. The problem is that companies like Nestle (etc.) have privatized drinking water and created a plastic-ridden market and nobody knows which water is actually acceptable to buy.

The truth is that water doesn’t really hydrate you. Electrolytes do. Water is great for flushing out our bodies and keeping things moving but the electrolytes we need are mostly found in fruit, sea salt, and other food sources. Most of the water sold to us doesn’t contain natural electrolytes, just synthetic ones that our body can’t absorb. BOTTLED? ALKALINE? DISTILLED? TAP? (FUCK NO) PLASTIC? SINGLE USE?

Fuck it all. Eat your water. Eat more fruit. Thirsty? Eat a piece of fruit. Keep that shit stocked. Keep them thangs on you.

(If your going to buy water, I suggest natural spring water in a glass container)

HOW TO SHOP

Go to different stores than you normally would. Support family owned produce markets. Latin and Central american markets have fire produce. Asian markets too. Safeway does not. Major chains typically have lackluster produce with hella pesticides even though they’re labeled organic. FARMERS MARKETS! Look for wild exotic shit. How many bars have you gone to? 300 million. Seek out dope fruit spots too. Don’t cheap out on your health. It’s all you really have. So many people are getting sick. Between the food, the phones, the pollutants, free-flowing chemicals etc…we need to push back in some way. At least we can control what we eat.

Washing Fruit:

I use a 10% vinegar, 90% water mix with a table spoon of baking soda to wash my fruits. Anything with an edible skin needs to be washed, regardless if its organic.

6: FASTING

I am not a doctor. You should research THE FUCK out of this before you try it, but trust me when I tell you that FASTING is the best medicine for you and is an ANCIENT practice.

There are many types of fasting, some of them popular in mainstream society. I use a technique called “dry fasting” which involves no eating or drinking for long periods of time. It has helped me immensely, with my record being 80 hours. These fasts are like hard resets for your body, and I was able to eliminate chronic pain and regenerate cells that were long fucked off. Think of it as putting your phone on the charger and leaving it to charge, undisturbed. Your body has the ability to heal itself, if you give it proper rest time. Sometimes I eat fruit or drink juice for 6–8 hours and then dry fast for the remaining 16–18 hours. Look into it and be very careful. You can’t jump into shit like this. Typically, you want to eat raw foods for a month, juice only for a couple weeks then implement the fasting. You can damage your body if you break a fast in the wrong way or go too long. It is a powerful practice not to be taken lightly.

THE END: In summation, try to eat more raw foods/fruits, buy a juicer if you can, and let’s stop being an idiotic, sick population of people who buy what we’re sold, and die from very avoidable health problems.
